I think that platonic cuddling should be allowed.
no, wanting to hug someone and have them fall asleep in your lap is not breaching PDA (public displays of affection) rules. I just want a hug.

Poor wally. Genuinely he's taking sleeping pills to sleep no wonder he's so drowsy all the time, HES HAVING TERRORS™️ and literally can't sleep!
He's in a constant state of EEPY!
I can only imagine he conks out sometimes when he's doing his thing during the day or the disassociating is a cause for it...
Although imagine he's just having a day with his neighbors and he just plops his head on the table and sleeps for a bit.
He was walking home and trips, falls....then stays on the ground...he fell asleep half way down.

but just imagine washing kiri's hair
gently nudging him under the water, smiling softly when he ducks his head so a little stream of water trails onto your shoulder. it's quiet, neither of you feel the need to talk as you let the shampoo collect in your palm. it's cool on your skin and you later it between your hands before bringing your hands up to rake it through his hair. he bends his head forward further to allow you easier access.
it takes time, gentle hands and soft work to loosen the gel that holds his hair up every day. you do the work, easily and carefully, watching as his eyes droop. he's tired from working all day, from smiling and talking and charming, and now he's quiet, leaning down so you can drag your fingers along his scalp and work away the grime and thick product.
before you, he never let others mess with his hair, always sure that they wouldn't take the same care that he does to keep his hair healthy after all the bleaching. but, with you, he doesn't hesitate to say yes when you ask to wash his hair.
he rests his hands on your hips as you work, thumbs moving gently and without any ulterior intentions, just touching you and watching your face peacefully.
he nearly purrs when you move to the conditioner, detangling his hair with your fingers, pulling and soothing any spots where you might have tugged too hard at his roots.
he returns the favor when you're done, gently massaging your scalp with the shampoo, removing the shower head to gently rinse without risking the soapy water running into your eyes, and carefully passing the conditioner through your ends.
and, when you both leave the shower with pruned hands and sleepy eyes, he can't imagine a life without you.

Under the fireworks brightly dyeing the night sky, Han Sooyoung's chilly, sharp dagger gleamed dangerously.
"You, just who the hell are you?”
Hugtober Day 9/9 - Can You Really Call This a Hug, I Didn’t Receive Physical Affection or Anything
[ID: A piece of digital fanart depicting Han Sooyoung and Kim Dokja from Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint. Han Sooyoung is dressed in a purple jacket, dark grey t-shirt, and a pair of black sweatpants and shoes. She kneels in the grass and pins Kim Dokja to the ground with her right hand, holding her dagger aloft in her left as the colorful lights of the fireworks light her figure from behind. Her hair is disheveled as she glares down at him, baring her teeth, though her ferocious expression betrays the faintest glimmer of fear. Kim Dokja, meanwhile, is sprawled flat on the grass, reflexively throwing his arms over his face. His legs kick up into the air by the force of Han Sooyoung’s initial tackle. He is dressed in his signature white coat, black button-up and slacks, and black shoes, which are partly lit up from the light of the fireworks. /end ID ]

i cant decide whether i prefer sirius and remus being extremely affectionate with each other before they start dating but they both think it's 'just what they're like' together and thinking the other only likes them platonically while everyone around them thinks is so obvious they're in love
or sirius and remus being a lot less affectionate than both of them are with their other friends because they have feelings for each other and don't want each other to realise. which in turn they both see that they're not as affectionate to each other as they are with the rest of their friends so they both think the other doesn't like them that much

The insurgents, we will remark, were full of hope. The manner in which they had repulsed the attack of the preceding night had caused them to almost disdain in advance the attack at dawn. They waited for it with a smile. They had no more doubt as to their success than as to their cause. Moreover, succor was, evidently, on the way to them. They reckoned on it. With that facility of triumphant prophecy which is one of the sources of strength in the French combatant, they divided the day which was at hand into three distinct phases. At six o’clock in the morning a regiment “which had been labored with,” would turn; at noon, the insurrection of all Paris; at sunset, revolution.
They heard the alarm bell of Saint-Merry, which had not been silent for an instant since the night before; a proof that the other barricade, the great one, Jeanne’s, still held out.
All these hopes were exchanged between the different groups in a sort of gay and formidable whisper which resembled the warlike hum of a hive of bees.
Enjolras reappeared. He returned from his sombre eagle flight into outer darkness. He listened for a moment to all this joy with folded arms, and one hand on his mouth. Then, fresh and rosy in the growing whiteness of the dawn, he said:
“The whole army of Paris is to strike. A third of the army is bearing down upon the barricades in which you now are. There is the National Guard in addition. I have picked out the shakos of the fifth of the line, and the standard-bearers of the sixth legion. In one hour you will be attacked. As for the populace, it was seething yesterday, to-day it is not stirring. There is nothing to expect; nothing to hope for. Neither from a faubourg nor from a regiment. You are abandoned.”

Carrot and Vetinari had that “polis/policeman/politician” conversation in Men at Arms, and later on in Feet of Clay Vimes remarks that Carrot is one of the very few people who genuinely like Vetinari as a person. Plus, Carrot in his role as King Destined has some insight into metanarrative, so I don’t doubt that Carrot, in that moment, became perhaps the only person to plainly see Vetinari for what he is, beyond the icy evil mastermind act that Vetinari puts on. Man Of The City. Good gods. And he’s never told anyone this. So I like to believe that, as soon as Vetinari had said that, Carrot very purposefully strode back across the throne room and gave Vetinari a rib-crushing hug. Like, the kind that lifts you off your feet a little bit
