#let peter bully tony actually

the thing about Irondad is that i can make reality whatever i want and what i want is Tony being a cringe failure when it comes to the parenting side of things and Peter simultaneously being like "yeah he is a fucking loser" and "he's super smart though and learning from him has been awesome" and "but if he would be my dad that'd be cool." like Peter is an unreliable and a biased narrator at the same time so he thinks Tony is cool but in my eyes I know what he is. Tony is actually like "i would die for this kid" but having an emotional conversation feels like he's been asked to drag his bare ass across hot coals. he doesn't even know where to begin to accomplish that task. which is why Peter says things like "oh he doesn't say a lot of things to me about how he feels but i can read between the lines" and in his mind Tony says things that mean another thing but never are *quite* that thing. usually jokes that talk about what he means without having to say it or be vulnerable. in his POV he's freaking out that Peter is missing to the point of being physically ill about it, yet Peter couldn't imagine it's that bad or because losing *him* is the cause of that problem. that's how Irondad really is, and i can make it better because canon is my bitch now
#iron dad#tony stark#because enough with tony being emotionally vulnerable in fics#who is that man#let's be very honest here#that man was good to morgan because he had the time to learn#he got HIMSELF stuck in that teenager phase with peter (we're talking about canon)#tony isn't a great dad#but he has the POTENTIAL to get there#they're slightly better in LoF because they went through a whole different phase#peter was dropping ironman in dumpsters and then calling tony stark a bitch to his face#and tony was intrigued#and called him a snot nosed brat right back#let peter bully tony actually#there needs to be more of that energy right back#put them on equal footing#peter parker#my phone keeps vibrating at me for no reason while i type this so im a little distracted#phone people who know phones why is my phone vibrating at me there's no incoming notifs and i dont have vibrate on#i can not afford a new phone rn#ill die

TRIGGER WARNING - bullying
--
âAnd you call yourself Tony Starkâs intern.â
The actual moment lasts, like, five seconds. Flashâs snarky comment. Their peersâ laughter. The teacherâs indifferent scold.
Except it lasts an eternity in Peterâs head. It repeats itself over and over again.
Peter doesnât usually mind Flashâs taunts. Heâs already used to being stepped on, to looking small to others. Heâs more than used to Flash humiliating him with a crowd to back him up. The former is no stranger to laughter, to the whispers behind his back, least of all after getting his powers.
Sure, it stinks, but Peter can handle it.
He doesnât know why it particularly bothers him today, though.
Maybe itâs because it happened in the Chemistry lab. Maybe itâs because Ned couldnât come to school today, so Peterâs current lab partner is no one he really has any intimacy with. The arachnid didnât sleep well last night, so he got distracted. Or maybe itâs because Peter has been going upstate on Fridays to help Mr. Stark. The latter actually wants to mentor Peter, so they update the Spider-Man suit, and Mr. Stark might even allow Peter to help him with the Iron Man armors.
Peter is ecstatic, obviously. After what happened between them, the last thing Peter wants is to let Mr. Stark down again.
But⌠heâs still letting him down.
And you call yourself Tony Starkâs intern.
Peter already tries to make himself invisible (too bad thatâs not an actual superpower he has), but now? He doesnât want to move. He doesnât want to exist. He wants to cry right there, which would only increase the laughs and whispers and Flashâs taunts. Peter so desperately wants to get in his suit and quiet his mind. But Mr. Stark would get mad at him for skipping school, and for such a stupid reason. The Spider-Man suit isnât about him being a loser at school. Pull yourself together, Parker.
The boy only does what heâs told, so his lab partner doesnât do all the hard work alone.
Gossip. Gossip.
All behind his back.
He can hear all of them.
Mr. Stark probably does the same when Peter is not around. Imagine what he must say to Happy or War Machine AKA Colonel Rhodes. Oh, Mr. Stark definitely laughs at how pathetic or annoying Peter is. Why would he want a screw-up in his personal workshop he allows very few people in? It must be out of pity, right?
And you call yourself Tony Starkâs intern.
And you call yourself Tony Starkâs intern.
And you call yourself Tony Starkâs intern.
And you call yourselfâ
â⌠Peter.â A whistle. âEarth to Peter? Come back, kid!â
Someone is snapping fingers in front of Peter, jolting him awake. Even though he wasnât sleeping.
Heâs in the lab.
Mr. Starkâs lab.
âBeen calling you for forever, kid,â the mechanic points out. âYou alright?â
âUhhhhhhhhâŚâ Peter clears his throat. âYeah! Just⌠homework, yâknow?â He laughs nervously.
Mr. Stark glances at the paper and he frowns in confusion.
â⌠You need help with it?â He offers.
The paper is very much blank.
Peter shrugs. âNah, Iâm okay.â (He can sense Mr. Starkâs eyebrow raising in doubt, louder than any words he could say) âDo you need help, Mr. Stark?â
âNo, not right now. In fact, I was gonna invite you to a coffee break. I could use some olâ bitter coffee to fill my dark soul,â his mentor jokes. âYou wanna come?â
âOh. I⌠I think Iâll stay here and finish my homework.â You didnât do anything, and you call yourself Tony Starkâsâ
âReally? Not even cappuccino? Mocha? Hot cocoa? Tea? Juice? Water?â
Peter takes a while to process all of the options. âNope. Iâm fine.â
Mr. Stark stares at him for a good couple of seconds, making Peter go cold inside.
â⌠Yeah, you will drink water. Iâm not asking.â The former widens his eyes to look more serious. Regardless, he looks kind of silly, so Peter canât help the snort.
âOkay.â
Mr. Stark wastes no time grabbing a glass of water for Peter. He didnât even make his own coffee for now â when Peter knows coffee is one of the heroâs top priorities.
âAlright, kid. Let me know if you want more water or anything else. If you canât reach me for any reason, just tell F.R.I.D.A.Y.â
âOkay.â
Peter returns to his school notebook. He can sense an uneasy presence. Peter is unable to pretend to be doing homework right now.
Mr. Stark sighs, stepping closer.
â⌠Kid,â he whispers, âlook at me.â
Peter does, as a hand grabs his shoulder.
âIf you need anything, anything at all, you can count on me, okay?â Mr. Stark tells him.
The teen, admittedly, is taken aback. He doesnât know what to do other than crack a smile.
âOkay, Mr. Stark.â
The man returns the smile, still not fully convinced. Regardless, he squeezes Peterâs shoulder and shortly lets it go. Mr. Stark leaves the room and, soon after, Peter grabs his own shoulder, wanting that touch desperately.
Peter wants to make Mr. Stark proud. So, he must do his homework. He must.
And you call yourself Tony Starkâs intern.

Itâs finals week. Already a mess, and Peter makes it worse for everyone.
Although Ned is around this time, Peter still fucks up, mixing the wrong chemicals. Everyone gets mad, rightfully so, because thereâs smoke in the Chemistry lab and now no one will be able to use it in the next hours.
âPenis does it again! Everyoneâs gonna bomb Chem,â Flash claps his hands.
And when Peter thinks it canât get worseâŚ
âWow, imagine if Iron Man heard that his golden intern blew up the lab again?â Obviously, Flash has no idea Peter actually knows Mr. Stark, but⌠yeah, imagine that.
âŚ
Despite it all, Ned is far from angry at Peter.
âYou okay, dude?â
âY-Yeah. Just smoke in my eyes.â
Ned didnât even ask about Peter tearing up and perhaps might not have even noticed if Peter werenât such a dumbass.
âIâm sorry, Ned, Iâm so sorryââ
âHey, Iâm just glad youâre not hurt, Peter. Besides⌠I noticed you havenât been well lately.â
Peter sighs, âYeah.â
âIs it the internship?â Ned whispers. Good thing theyâre not around Flash anymore.
âSorta.â
âYeah, and with finals⌠itâs too much, huh?â
âYeah.â Peter dries his eyes.
Ned hums, contemplating for a few seconds before suggesting, âYou wanna come over today? We could study together, eat some snacks, maybe watch a movie or play videogames laterâŚâ
âSorry, Ned, Mr. St- I mean, my friend Tony called me, so Iâll go to his place instead. I usually see him on Fridays, but he thought he could use the extra help.â
âOh, thatâs okay. Man, thatâs so awesome! I envy you so hard.â
âYeahâŚâ Peter doesnât share his best friendâs enthusiasm.
âMaybe he can help you with Physics?â
âUgh, Iâm not asking him that!â
âWhy not?â
âWhy not?! Ned-!â Peter realizes people could hear them, so he lowers his voice. âWhy would he help me with school?â
Ned is genuinely confused. âUh, because he invites you to his personal workshop once a week? And sometimes he picks you up himself?? You really think he wouldnât help you with anything that isnât your internship?â
If you need anything, anything at all, Mr. Starkâs words return to Peterâs head, you can count on me, okay?
Peter shakes his head and looks away from Ned.
â⌠I just donât want to bother him,â he replies simply. âThatâs all.â
He resumes walking, but Ned doesnât accompany him at first, perhaps hurt by Peterâs quiet and painful words.
--
Upstate, Mr. Stark assigned Peter the right arm of Iron Man. Itâs still a prototype, so Mr. Stark lets Peter mess around with it to see how it works and if he has any suggestions.
Peter has no idea what to do with this arm, without fearing a crowd to laugh at his every move. Besides, heâs scared Mr. Stark might notice something is up, so Peter, once again, pretends to know what heâs doing.
Heâs always pretending.
âWow, imagine if Iron Man heard that his golden intern blew up the lab again?â
Fuck off, Flash, Peter tries, mentally.
âThey should not allow him to be in the labs ever again.â
A penis drawn on his locker that he always has to erase, nearly every single day. Heâs had penises drawn and stamped on his notes. That one leg that always âaccidentallyâ trips Peter and all of his food. The times Peter fell off the stairs and could barely walk home. Or when Flash has almost run over Peter and Ned multiple times. Or when Flash and his friends trapped Peter in his locker and he had no powers at the time, and even if he had, people would get suspicious. Peter giving up on sports, on photography, on everything, not only because of his powers, but also because Peter would not have one moment of peace at school, because Flash is always fucking there, and he already has to put up with him at the Decathlon, and everyone thinks Peter is the bad guy, because he is, he screws everything up all the goddamn timeâ
AND YOU CALL YOURSELF
TONY STARK âS INTERN.
Growling and crushing metal in his fingers, Peter screams and throws away whatever he was holding. Itâs louder than his rage.
Panting, with burning tears in his eyes, he doesnât take long to realize what heâs done.
He fucking wrecked the wall.
And the Iron Man arm Mr. Stark assigned him with.
âPeter?!â
The boy panics as soon as he hears Mr. Stark rushing to the scene.
âWhat happened? Are you okay? Are you hurt?â The man asks.
âOh, no, no, no,â Peter starts crying more. âM-Mr. Stark, Iâm sorry, Iâm so sorryââ
âPeter, what- what happened? Talk to me, kiddo.â
âI-I can fix it, I can- I can fix it, I promiseââ
âPeter, I donât care about the wall or- or the arm, letâs just sit, okay?â
âBut Mr. Starkââ
The man is trying to guide him somewhere else. âCome on, kid, letâs justââ
âDONâT YOU GET IT?!â Peter breaks free from the otherâs grip. âFLASH WAS RIGHT ABOUT ME!â
His words echo all over the lab, and it might crack the wall further. It stops everything â DUM-E, U, F.R.I.D.A.Y., and especially Mr. Stark, who stares at him in utter shock.
Now, Peter has made a fool of himself again, right in his mentorâs personal workshop, and now everyone is laughing, laughing, laughing, laughing, laughing, laughing, they were all rightâ
He runs away, sobbing, like a little kid who threw a tantrum after breaking a vase.
So much so that Peter locks himself in the restroom, dropping to the floor and hugging his own knees, trying to silence his hurtful sobs. And yet, he cries the loudest heâs cried in a long, long time.
And you call yourself Tony Starkâs intern.
Now Mr. Stark knows.
Perhaps heâs always known.
And now he cannot deny it.
âŚ
Slow footsteps come.
âKid?â Mr. Stark calls him rather softly.
Peter doesnât answer, but he might quiet down a little.
âWhatâs going on?â He insists, but not angrily. âI noticed you were off lately, and I didnât want to pry, butâŚâ
Peter sniffs. âI-Iâm sorry.â
Mr. Stark sighs. âPeter, you donât⌠you donât have to apologize, okay? I understand youâre angry and- and sad, and I want you to know that you donât have to hide it from me.â
âYou donât get it! I- I canât do anything right, Iâm just- Penis Parker!â
Thereâs silence between them after those words. Peter hates exposing how much Flash does get to him.
âYouâre Peter Parker,â Mr. Stark corrects. âYouâre one of the smartest people I know, which doesnât mean youâre flawless, because you arenât. But youâre always willing to learn, to grow. Thatâs why I call you over. You give me a lot of hope, you know that? Hope for this world.â He pauses. âYou donât need to be a perfect genius; youâre allowed to make mistakes. And youâre allowed to ask for help.â
You can count on me.
You can count on me.
Okay?
Itâs like Mr. Stark can hear all the laughter at Peterâs expense. Heâs not there to laugh. Heâs there to rescue Peter.
So⌠Peter decides to open the door.
To accept help.
Mr. Stark may smile, but he looks hurt. He looks angry, too, but definitely not at Peter. Who did this to you, Mr. Starkâs eyes ask, who the fuck did this to you. Instead, the man squeezes Peterâs shoulder and rubs it with his thumb.
âThe wall and that arm can be fixed later,â the mechanic reassures him. âRight now, I just want you safe and sound and leave you all the room to say everything in your mind. Everything. Only if youâre up to, of course, but donât hesitate to be angry.â
Peter sniffs and nods. âT-That sounds good.â
Mr. Stark pats his shoulder. âLetâs get outta here.â
They leave the workshop, while Peter mentally apologizes to DUM-E and the other bots for scaring them. He settles in the bigger living room which is much closer to the kitchen. Therefore, Mr. Stark grabs some water for him and sits next to him.
âAlright, go wild if you want. Iâll be here,â he says.
Peter takes a sip of water first. Itâs a bit hard to swallow with all the tears clogged up, but itâs still necessary.
â⌠So, thereâs this kidââ
âFlash. The stupidest name Iâve ever heard.â
Peter canât help laughing at his brutal honesty and anger on his behalf. âYeah. Well, heâs been a pain in my ass since I got into Midtown. Heâs been calling me âPenisâ for years. And he loves rubbing his grades on my face. Oh, and he makes sure everyone is there to see. And⌠yeah, they enjoy it.â He recalls Lizâs party. Penis! Parker! Penis! Parker!
Mr. Stark keeps listening attentively. Peter drinks more water, and itâs easier to swallow it now.
âWell, people say âoh, heâs just jealous of youâ, or âdonât let him get to you, or you wonât be any betterâ. I mean, I donât like fighting anyone at school, I just want to focus on myself. But Flash makes it⌠hard, sometimes.â
He can sense Mr. Stark sitting a bit closer, but respecting Peterâs space. He does not take his eyes off of Peter, either. Heâs focused entirely on his mentee.
âLike⌠I can handle it most of the time. And if Iâm not the punchbag, then other kids will be, and theyâre not enhanced like I am. So that, at least, comforts me. That Iâm helping the little guys at school. âCause kids like Flash and his friends are cowards. I donât want anyone else getting bullied,â Peter argues.
âBut whoâs looking out for you, then?â
âWell⌠I donât need to be looked out for.â
âYou have powers, sure, but I donât think that makes it any less serious. It doesnât make you any less of a victim of bullying.â
Peter lowers his gaze to the center table.
âThatâs a lot of responsibility, kid,â Mr. Stark clarifies. âAnd it shouldnât be on you. It should be on the adults.â
âYeah, but would they bother? They wonât believe me â theyâve never believed me; they just think itâs a dumb rivalry. And boy, they sure love telling me, âwaaah but Flash has a difficult home lifeâ, and I wish I could say, âI donât care! I really could not care! Heâs not a fucking baby!â.â Peter spills the poison. âIâm not out here using my background as an excuse to be shitty! But no, Iâm always the bad guy! I have to be better than him, and yet it feels like I will never be better than him, because theyâre always on his side!â
Peterâs breaths are hot like fire. Mr. Stark doesnât filter him.
â⌠The thing is,â he resumes, âis that he loves mocking my âinternshipâ. Yâknow, what we do here. I obviously want it to remain that way, no one really believing itâŚâ he hesitates. âBut when I blew up the Chemistry lab, more than once, Flash just touched on that â âoh youâre Tony Starkâs intern? Blowing stuff like that? Imagine if he knew you were a total screw-up?â. I usually ignore it. Except this time⌠with everyone laughing at me, with Flash pestering me nonstopâŚâ
Peter doesnât continue. He canât look Mr. Stark in the eye now.
âIs that what you were afraid of telling me?â The latter questions.
âIâŚâ Peter swallows. âI didnât want to let you down. Because what if you saw who I really am in the lab?â
â⌠But I do see the real you in the lab. I see that excited kid who likes everything I show him, even the smallest of things. I see that kid being so engaged, making suggestions, learning from his mentor, and teaching his mentor too,â Mr. Stark says. âAnd kid, you really think I am this tidy in the lab? I still blow up shit every now and then. Hell, when I was your age? I was a menace at MIT. I think I have photos from that era. I do not regret any of it,â he laughs. âBut seriously, kid, you absolutely did not let me down, and you are not letting me down now.â
âReally?â
âReally.â
Peter blushes, so he finishes his water quietly.
âListen, kid,â Mr. Stark begins, âyouâre not made of iron. No one is. And bullying, it gets to you, it gets to all of us. I donât know which stupid adult said that weâre weak for âletting it get to usâ, because damn, bullying absolutely wrecks us. It makes you want to disappear. They would rather put all the responsibility onto us and refuse to help. I hate that youâre out there being a martyr while the adults sit comfortably in their chairs and do nothing about their students being bullied. That should not be the norm.â
Mr. Stark gently takes one of Peterâs hands, their fingers intertwining.
âItâs not your fault, do you hear me? Itâs not your fault, and it will never be your fault. You donât deserve to be bullied. You do not deserve to be hurt,â he insists.
Mr. Stark seems to speak from experience. It sounds like it happened decades ago, and it still gets to him.
âPeter.â He pauses briefly to smile. âIâm proud of you.â
That.
That makes Peter tear up again.
Those simple words.
âAw, come here,â Mr. Stark says the moment Peter starts sobbing.
The middle-aged hero is all too ready to wrap Peter in a hug. The teen cries years of bullying and grief and loneliness. Mr. Stark embraces all of it, not at all scared by the rage and pain.
Whatever theyâre going to do tomorrow, it can wait. Now, now all Peter needs is this.
And you call yourself Tony Starkâs intern. Yeah, he is Tony Starkâs intern. A lot more than just a plain intern. Tony Stark is proud of him and thatâs all Peter could ever need.

Hereâs some jealous/bully Harley
I Just Wanted You To See Me by for_the_night
(you will need an account to read)
Harley compromises Spider-Manâs suit in a bid to finally get some uninterrupted quality time with Tony after being let down by the billionaire one too many times. This leads to horrifying consequences for Peter.
in my head by krystalpomme
harley keener is visiting for the week, leaving peter feeling like they could really get along. after noticing harleyâs hostility, he starts to think the older boy may not like him too much. Â All Harley wanted this week was to get to know Tony and his family without Peter interfering. There was no way that the boy would leave on his own accord. Which meant there was only one option. He had to make Peter want to leave the lake house.
Friendly Neighborhood Exchange by spooderboyandtincan
âActual question, though,â he smirked. âDoes Tony even care? It has to be a charity event, right?â Tears leaked from Peterâs eyes. âNo.â Tony loved him, and had told him countless times how much. Tony loved him more than anything. But Harleyâs words drummed into his mind. He couldnât help the tiny, almost unnoticeable sliver of doubt creep into his head. Or: Harley Keener comes to stay with Tony while he looks at colleges. Eating spaghetti, prying into Tony's personal life, and tormenting Peter to the point that he runs away from the tower during a thunder storm and gets grievously injured, are just a few of the things Harley enjoys.

Tony doesn't think this part of the job ever gets easier.
He gets used to most of it, see; the racing heart, the ache in his bones that never seems to go away, the threats he sees in very dark corner of a room. A rush of adrenaline that fades to crushing lungs. You'd think that was the biggest hurdle. Tony thought that would be the biggest hurdle, too, back in 2007, back when the sound of his phone going off had him choking in gulps of air between bile, back when the dark of his room after a nightmare would have him stop breathing all together.
Miraculously, he did get used to it, and then he got used to it all over again, but this time it was worse. It was worse because then Pepper's right there holding his hand after every nightmare, and Rhodey's visiting almost every day to bully him into taking his stupid SSRIs, and Happy's dropping by with some five dollar cheeseburger every other week "just because", and suddenlyâ suddenly he realizes. For the first time in his life, he has something worse to lose than himself.
Nobody ever comes out of a life like this without getting used to it. There's no other way to survive.
And yet. And yet.
Moments like these.
The part of the job that never gets easier.
The aftermath, of course. Tony's never prepared for the aftermath of it. He's never had to be, before all of this. He's had to take a stabilizing breath before entering a room before, but never because he was afraid to seeâ
Well.
The kid got himself into some hot water again. These days, this has proven to be the number one cause of Tony's tachycardiac increase. It was horrible, the whole process of it, like it always wasâ realizing he never made it home, scrambling to find him, praying when they found him he wouldn't be...
But they did find him, because Tony wouldn't let himself fail with something so colossally as important as keeping Peter Parker safe and be able to live with himself afterwards, the only issue is that he justâ he just wasn't fast enough.
On a paper passed in the quinjet, he wrote in shaky writing:
they didn't like how much i talked
Peter's in the med bay, and he's bruised to high heavens, a wild look in his eyes that sets all the nurses on high alert. He hasn't spoken in hours. This doesn't mean he hasn't tried.
He clearly has tried, actually. Torn skin and dried blood coating the entire bottom half of his face, all the way down his neck. Tony feels sick at the thought.
"We just need to remove the stitches," the doctor says calmly. Gloved hands hold scissors in one, tweezers in the other. She stands a safe distance away. "Okay? Nod yes if you can understand me."
Peterâ Peter's shaking. His eyes don't leave the doctor's hands, and his whole body is strung as tight as a bow. His fists clench.
"Peter," Tony's voice cracks. He clears his throat, avoiding his eyes. Takes another deep breath, and then summons all his courage to look his kid in the eyes. He's already looking back, holding so much trust and terror in his panicked gaze.Â
Tony swallows thickly and shifts his chair closer. He'd been trying to give the doctors the space they need to fix this, to make it better where he couldn't, but he doesn't give a shit now. He can't, not when Peter's looking at him like that.
"We need to get those off your mouth," Tony says, wincing, because just the acknowledgement of the current situation feels so heavy. He feels like he's being crushed. "We need to know happened, if you're okay, we can't do that if you can't talk to us."
Peter looks like he wants to open his mouth. His lips twitch, but are firmly held in place by the shoddy sutures. He shudders, looks back at the doctor, then back at Tony.
The doctor takes a step forward, and immediately Peter's neck snaps back over to her. His breathing becomes frantic, his nostrils flaring to compensate for the lack of oxygen. A panicked series of muffled noises comes tumbling from his lips, and blood drips down his chin as the slight movement tears further at the stitched skin.
"Hey, woah," Tony stands up, putting himself between Peter and the doctor. She has already taken several steps back, her arms raised in the air, her expression soaked in guilt. "Okay, easy. Let's take it easy."
He turns to Peter, bending his knees to look at him better. Reflexively, a hand reaches for Peter's knee, and he pats it in comfort. "You're okay, right? I won't let anyone hurt you, I've got you now. I'm not letting you out of my sight. You can trust me, can't you? Breathe, kiddo."
Peter nods quickly, forcing himself to slow the breaths his nose was rushing to take. He blinks furiously, and tears trail down and wash lines of blood away. It's horrific. Tony wants to sit very quietly and cry for a very long time. He wants different blood to be on his hands.
"Mr. Stark," the doctor says meekly. "Might I suggest you remove the stitches instead? It should be fairly simple to remove, it doesn't look like they even did it properly..."
"Yes. Thank God for that," Tony grits out dangerously. He exhales shakily and looks back at his kid. "What do you say, kid? Can you nod, if that's alright with you?"
Peter looks at him for a long moment, his teary eyes glassy in the white lights of the medical bay. He slowly, cautiously, nods.
"Okay," Tony says. He takes a moment to solidify himself, his arms, his legs, all the parts that have been more or less liquid since he's carried Peter in here, since he's stopped carding a hand through his sweaty, blood-matter hair.
He locks away the wildness in his chest, the paternal beast that cringes and cries at the thought of touching Peter's wounds with his own hands, being the reason he winces, being the source of his pain if even for a moment.
Peter's trusting him. He keeps that running through him like saline on an IV drip. Peter's trusting him. He's in pain, he's trusting you to fix it, so fix it.
Tony pulls gloves on, takes the tools from the doctor. He approaches Peter carefully, and keeps his face neutral. He hopes it's more comforting than the look of a doctor who keeps glancing at clenched fists with sweat on her brow.
Peter's still shaking. Marvelously, he blinks a few times, and then closes his eyes tightly, and Tony feels his entire heart clench in his chest. It seems like such a simple thing. So, so, simple. But Tony's been on the other side of the room, watching needles or what have you with that kind of terror, and the last thing he could think of doing would be to sacrifice his most valuable sensory input.
Tony doesn't know how, doesn't know what he did to deserve this kind of innocent all-forward trust, but he looks at Peter, trembling in his fear, his eyes clenched shut and his chin jutted out, and Tony swears by everything holy that he'll protect it with his life.
"Do you want me to talk to you while I work?" Tony says quietly, sitting down in front of him.
Peter takes a second, and then nods.
"Okay." Tony steels his gaze, taking in the work. Fishing line, maybe, or something just as crude, sewn in one uneven, messy, tight line of stitches across his kid's bloodied lips. His stomach turns. "I'm gonna start on the left, your left, and I'm going to use tweezers, okay? You feel metal, that's just tweezers. Nothing sharp."
Peter nods once, just to show he understands, and goes still. Tony takes it as permission. He moves carefully, picking at the loosest bit of the stitch he can find, which ironically is a knot tied at the edge of his mouth. He pokes at it with the tweezers and Peter flinches.
"Just tweezers," Tony reminds him, keeping his voice level. It's a miracle he isn't shaking like a leaf. "Little cold, nothing scary."
He pulls it up a little, and grimaces at the sight of it, the whole grisly thing. "Alright, Peter, you're going to hear the scissors, but they're not anywhere near you. I just want you to hear the sound."
Tony waits for another nod, and then lifts the scissors up. He snips them once, twice, a few more times, until Peter's flinches become less as jolting.
"Are you okay?" Tony checks in. Peter nods.
"Okay, I'm going to snip the thread," Tony says. "It'll be just like last time. You won't feel anything. You're just gonna hear the scissors, remember? Do you want me to count down?"
Peter hesitates, and then shakes his head.
"Alright." Tony pulls back again at the stitch. He holds his breath, and then snips it with the scissors. With the knot gone, tension goes immediately lack, and Peter's shoulders drop.
"We're almost done," Tony cheers weakly. His eyes are misty, and it's so, so hard to keep the cracks out of his voice. He's trying. He's trying, for Peter. "Good boy. We're almost done. Few more snips. It'll be way easier now."
He tugs at the middle of the line, it easily becoming loose. Peter shivers, his face curling in displeasure.
"Yeah, I bet that doesn't feel good," Tony tries lightly. "Okay, you're gonna hear the scissors again."
He pulls up the line with the tweezers, and another snip. With that, he's able to pull half of the thread out of his goddamn mouth. Halfway there. Halfway. Blood trickles from the open wounds.
"Okay, other side now," Tony continues. There's a waver in his tone this time, sneaking out before he can calm it. "You okay still?"
Peter doesn't move. He keeps his jaw clenched and just breathes, and Tony remains still until he's ready. After a minute, Peter nods again.
Tony pulls at the other knot, and snips it, and then quickly pulls the thread completely out, and drops both the tweezers and the scissors to the side with a shaky breath of relief.
He blinks and he has an armful of teenager, Peter's arms wrapped around his waist so tightly Tony struggles to breathe in. Tony welcomes the feeling, just grateful that Peter is feeling strong enough to do so in the first place.
All the while, Tony's smoothing out his hair, he's petting at his back, squeezing his shoulders, saying, "I've got you. Jesus. Never again. You're okay. You're okay. We're okay."
Tears drip down his cheek, fine, he wasn't strong enough to keep them at bay. None of it matters anymore. The only thing that matters is the kid, and he's right here, and Tony's right here, and it's all going to be fine.
"I knew you'd save me," is the first thing Peter says, all blubbery and snot-covered all over Tony's nice shirt, and he really shouldn't be speaking yet at all. Blood is trickling from his mouth. His voice is very clearly hoarse.
"Of course," Tony repeats, over and over and over. "Always. Every time. Any time. God, kid."
Because yes, he'll save Peter for as long as he can still breathe. Longer, if he's able. He's done it countless times already.
It's always the hardest part of a job that matters the most, even if it never gets easier.

The rest of the car ride was small talk and life updates to each other. You talked about your days at work and your lack of a social life and Peter talked about his days at school, work, and the shit he sees on patrols. Once you guys got to the place you both sat down at a booth. It was a small sandwich shop that Peter recognized but had never been inside of.Â
You took off your jacket and folded it next to you. Peter looked at the tattoos on your inner forearm that caught his attention. Three arc reactors inked down your arm with the words "Proof that Tony Stark has a Heart". There were words with each arc reactor and blue roses blooming around them. You noticed Peter studying the tattoo.
"It gives me strength," you smiled and extended your arm to show him more of the unique tattoo. They were the three different arc reactors that Tony had made, each with different designs but all correlating together in a perfect trifecta.Â
âItâs pretty,â Peter smiled.Â
âThanks,â you smiled back and moved your arm back to its place on the table. âWhat about you? Any ink?â
âNah,â he responded. âNot yet anyways,â
âHave any ideas of what you want?âÂ
âI have some but nothing really hashed out just yet. Iâm kinda worried about getting one. Itâll be easier to identify me that way,â he explained.
âHuh,â you had an expression of realization and deep thought. âThatâs actually a really good concern.â
After ordering your food you guys talk a little bit to get to know each other better. You found out about his favorite movies and that he likes skateboarding sometimes. He learned that you still play guitar, you picked up on lyrical and contemporary dance, and that Morgan liked to bully you. It was a sweet conversation of you relearning about him and him learning more about you.
Peter felt like it was a strange power dynamic where he had to upper hand, and he didn't like it. But it balances out with you knowing so much information about him from your month-long deep dive.
âI noticed that your style is different than before,â Peter commented. âYou got this whole badass leading lady movie character thing going on.â
You chuckled in response and sipped your lemonade. âSome of it is from Natasha, others from Wanda, and most from my friend Celinaâs ThredUp,â you explained. âSecretly though. If she knew I bought the stuff she would be like âI couldâve just given it to you!â even though I can very much afford it.â
Peter perked up at Celinaâs name. It's been a while since he last saw her due to her being at the Sanctum Sanctorum. You noticed how Peter reacted to hearing her name.Â
âShe needed money for equipment and I couldnât just let her give me her things that she was trying to sell to get the money for it," you continued.
âEquipment?â Peter asked.
âMhm,â you hummed. âSheâs got a YouTube Channel and a Podcast about Mythology and Folklore and stuff like that.â
Peter looked at you confused. YouTube is one thing but a Podcast? Did she work with someone else who does the talking?
âWhat?â You asked before realizing it with wide eyes. âOh, shit! You have no idea, do you? She can talk now.â
Peterâs heart nearly stopped.
âSheâŚcan speak?âÂ
âYeah! Sheâs a chatterbox and can talk to you for hours. Sheâs great company. She's also the kind to have life-changing conversations.â
Peter thought back on how he remembered Celina. A quiet girl with a personality loud enough to brighten a room. Her straight forehead bangs never blocked out the shine in her eyes when she was excited about something and her usual academic style of black turtlenecks, sweater vests, and plaid pleated tennis skirts contrasted her bright persona. Although she was a stellar student herself, she was also very creative and loved creating artful things.Â
She knew sign language. Peter learned it with her so she could better communicate with him. Uncle Ben and Aunt May had done the same so they could understand her. Ned, Michelle, and you had eventually learned it too so Peter didn't always have to worry about translating if he wasn't around.Â
He remembers when people actually thought Celina was deaf, and a group of kids were making fun of her. You stepped in and told them all to go fuck themselves. That is actually how you and Celina met and became friends.
âDo you wanna go see her?â you asked knocking Peter from his thoughts.
He blinked. âLikeâŚright now?âÂ
âYeah!" You chirped, took out your phone, and started typing. "I can ask her if sheâs home.â you chewed your lip. "How do you feel about getting a reading?"
"A reading?" Peter asked a bit confused.
"Like fortune telling, tarot reading, all that," you explained. "Celina does all that."
Peter shrugged. "Sure."
Celina~
Hey (Y/N/N)! Whatâs up?
Are you busy?
No not at all, Iâm just kinda hanging out with the furbabies~
I want you to meet a friend of mine who needs a reading.
Oh? Does it happen to be complicated guy?
You note that Peter has several different nicknames from people.
Yes, but things areâŚless complicated now.
OMG, thatâs good to hear! Okay yeah! Iâll get set up! See you soon!Â
âSheâs down,â you smiled.Â
Once you guys arrive you park outside of her apartment building and wait for her to text you when sheâs ready for you to come up. The top is up on your convertible giving you and Peter more privacy. You had the music on low and the windows tinted.Â
âSo since I donât remember jack shit,â you began. âHow do you know Celina?â
Peter took a deep breath and turned to you slightly.
âBoth of our parents were killed at the Stark Expo. We were stranded together when it happened and when they found us standing over the bodies of our dead parentsâŚit was like so weird trauma bond that we had at the moment and she took my hand. We were put in a daycare for lost children until Uncle Ben and Aunt May came to get me...and I couldnât just leave her there, she didnât have any other family. They were kind enough to take her in as well and we were raised as cousins or siblings.â
You nod listening. âIâm sorry about your parents." You look down at your hands in your lap. "Thatâs really heartbreaking.â
âItâs okay. Iâve made peace with it.â
You both sat in a peaceful silence for a moment before Peter spoke again.
âYou mentioned earlier that Celina can have life-changing conversations," Peter stated. "After all the shit we've seen as Avengers, I'm curious to know what you mean."
You smiled and leaned your head on your hand as your elbow sat on the steering wheel. "She got me to stop hating magic."
"What?!" Peter asked in a high-pitched voice. "Bullshit."
"I'm serious!"
"Okay, who are you and what did you do with (Y/N) Stark?" Peter chuckled softly. "Miss (Y/N) 'magic has limitations, science has solutions' Stark?"
You laughed. "No seriously hear me out."
"I'm all ears."
"Alright, check this out, you ready?"
"I swear to god if you conjure something up or have a sling ring, I'm gonna believe you're not really who you say you are," Peter laughed.
"Fuck no," you exclaimed. "Never."
"Okay, okay," Peter sat back and crossed his arms giving you his full attention.Â
"Magic is just undiscovered or misunderstood science," You stated. "Celina's words."
Peter thought on the words for a second and let the words bounce around in his head. "Okay, I can see that, yeah," he looks at you with squinted eyes. "But has she ever met Wanda?"Â
You both laughed.Â
"No, but she trained with Sorcerers."Â
"Okay, fair point."
Peter thought about how that conversation went down with you and Celina. Celina has always been interested in Magic, Occult, and Mythological things. It was a hobby of hers and she loved watching Movies and shows that surrounded those things. He remembered when she showed Him and Ned someone on YouTube who talks about conspiracy theories.
Speaking ofâŚ
"Did she and Ned ever get together?"
"Yep, four years now."
âReally?â Peter chuckled. "Finally. They liked each other since the 3rd grade."
âI know right?â You replied. "Oh yeah, they're engaged as of recently too"
"Huh?!" Peter squeaked.Â
"Yep!"
"Jeez, I missed so much."Â
âYou have no idea,â you gave him a lopsided grin.
He smiled and looked up at the apartment building for a moment. This all seemed like some weird dream. It was as if this day wasnât real. You guys went out and spent time together, sang to your love song, and now heâs here ready to remeet Celina after five years of not seeing her. You must have noticed him staring or sensed his emotions.
"If it's too much too soon we can wait," you said. "I know it's a lot at once."
Peter sighed still looking at the building and shook his head. " It's been 5 years and it's long overdue." He looked at you and smiled softly. "I'll be fine"
Celina then texted you and told you that she was ready for you guys to go up, and so you did. The only issue is that she lived on the 11th floor and the elevator was broken. She couldâve easily sling ring portal you guys in, but considering you both are web slingers, you would do just fine.Â
âMan, I havenât swung in a while,â You say to yourself looking up.
Peterâs mouth spoke before his brain made a thought. âI could web us up there,â
âY-You sure?â you asked a little sheepishly.
Peter nodded with a smile. âWeâve done it before.â
âOkay, Parker,â you bounced on your feet a little like you were preparing yourself for high-intensity movement. Peter found it cute.Â
You walked over to him and clasped your hands around his neck. Your senses were buzzing at the closeness of you two. Peterâs mind was buzzing just as much.Â
âHere let me justâŚâ he trailed off as he lifted you off the ground and your legs around his torso.Â
You yelped softly at his actions. You looked down at him with wide eyes and a face on fire. You could feel his muscles through his shirt and it was messing with your head. And you were so close to his face. His extremely cute and handsome face. You could smell his body spray. Sandalwood and Vanilla. You decided it was your favorite scent. He was warm and you couldnât tell if it was from the fact that men are naturally warmer or the fact that he was blushing profusely. He looked at you gingerly as he wrapped an arm around you. You could feel his biceps and you had to shut your mind up before you drove yourself insane. You smiled softly in response and nodded.
 âIâm ready,â you said softly.
âO-okay,â He squeaked. God, heâs so cute.
Next thing you know youâre both being lifted off the ground. You hang onto him tightly and lean your head on the side of his as you close your eyes. You could feel his silky curls on your cheek and you were beaming at how soft they were. You wanted to shove your whole face in his hair.Â
Peter decided that he liked you holding on to him like this because of how close you both were.Â
He landed on the 11th floor gracefully to his surprise because of how his mind was racing with you being wrapped around him and in his arm. You looked at each other longingly for a moment as your eyes shifted down to his soft pink lips and his shifted down to your lipstick-stained ones a few times.Â
You were knocked out of your moment when you heard the door next to you open and you reflex and jumped from his hold with ease. You both acted awkwardly and naturally as two children ran out of the doorway and down the hall giggling, not caring about your or Peterâs presence there. You guys stood in silence for a moment processing what just happened.Â
âWe shouldâŚyou know.â You began with an awkward smile.
âNo, yeah, yeah, we shouldâŚyou know,â Peter responded in the same manner as he rubbed the back of his neck.Â
âYeah!â
âMhm!â
And with that, you walked towards Celinaâs door quickly and ahead of Peter as your face burned and a big grin appeared on your face. Little did you know that Peter was also smiling from behind you.Â
Once you reached the door, you rang the doorbell.
âUmâŚâ You looked at him. âAre you ready?â
âI-I think so,â He smiled softly at you. âDonât really have a choice now.âÂ
And with that, Celina answered the door all excitedly and hugged you happily.Â
"Hey! It's good to see you, girlie!" She chimed with a soft and welcoming voice.
âHey, Celina,â You replied and hugged back.Â
âItâs about time you come and visit me,â she giggled pulling back. âNed is at school late today.â
As you guys did a bit of small talk a wave of emotions hit Peter like a hurricane as his eyes glossed over threatening waterfalls to fall from his soft and dark orbs.
He was hearing Celina speak for the first time.
He sniffled and you both looked at him with concern. He turned his head away and then turned his entire body.Â
"Ahh you said he needs guidance,â Celina concluded. âLet me go get my stuff. Come on in when you guys are ready." Celina smiled and walked inside leaving the door open.Â
You turned to him and walked over by him. âPeter?â
He turned to look at you with watery eyes and his lips pressed together. He was holding back from just bursting into sobs. It broke your heart.
You laid a hand on his cheek and he closed his eyes with a sigh of relief and leaned into it. You stroke your thumb over the apples of his cheeks gently with a concerned expression. The feeling of your hand on his face, helped him calm down slightly. Like ice to a wound.
"What's wrong, Peter?" You asked with a soft voice. âAre you okay?â
"Y-yeah," he sniffled. "It's just that growing up I've been helping Celina with talking and when everyone gave up on her I never did. And hearing her talk just triggered somethingâŚlikeâŚ. right in my heart, yâknow? And I couldn't help myself."Â
You pouted slightly and wrapped your arms around him. He hugged back as you swayed him from side to side comfortingly. You echoed a string of "it's okay" and other encouraging words as he softly cried. He nuzzled his face into your neck and took a deep breath at your warmth and scent, just like he used to do after a hard mission years ago.Â
He wanted to stay like this forever.
After a moment you pull back slightly and give him a soft kiss on the cheek. His eyes shot open as he looked at your equally shocked expression. He could still feel the linger of the peck on his cheek and he wanted to grab your face in his hands and kiss you. But you both were frozen in place and looked at each other for a long moment. Then tension was high, the senses were racing as you had a silent conversation with your eyes. Before you knew it, you both leaned in.Â
But before you could you felt a soft feeling against your leg and heard a tiny meow and purring coming from below. You both Look down to see a big fluffy orange cat with big round blue eyes looking up at the both of you.
"Thor!" Celina exclaimed, âJust because the door is open doesnât mean you can walk out!â She ran out she ran out and saw both of you super close to each other. âOop-...Iâm sorry.â she said before she outburst into exclamation again with, âLoki!â
Peter felt something climbing his leg, shirt, and shoulder. A trill and purrs rang in his ear and he felt a weighted fur on his shoulder. He looked over to see black paws on his shoulder. He concluded it was another cat.
âAwww he likes you,â You smiled. âLokitty approved already, thatâs a record.â
âDoes he not like other people?â Peter asked raising an arm and petting the cat.
The dark cat rubbed itâs face on Peterâs hand causing more purring.
âNo, he only likes me Ned and (Y/N) and now you.â Celina explained taking the cat off of Peterâs shoulder.âThor here loves everybody though.â
You picked up the fluffy orange cat and scratched under his chin with your painted nails. âThorâs a big baby. Loki is a grumpy old man.â
Peter smiled and petted the orange bundle of fluff in your arms.Â
âIâm ready when you guys are,â Celina smiled.
You looked up at Peter and he nodded in response. You both followed Celina into her apartment and she closed the door so you could set the cats down. As you took off your jacket, Peter took the time to glance over the apartment. It looked like a Dungeons and Dragons themed home. There were shelves filled with books about myths around the world, spellbooks, and tomes. There were plants in almost every corner and vintage decor everywhere. Peter smiled at the glass case full of Lego builds that he remembers building with Ned and his eyes focused on the death star with the missing Darth Vader thatâs supposed by on top but instead is sitting on Peterâs desk in his apartment. The place was very Celina with touches of Ned which Peter found amusing.Â
âI baked some cookies,â Celina started. âFeel free to make yourselves at home.â
âThanks, Celi,â You smiled and hung your jacket by the door.Â
âCan I use your bathroom?â Peter asked.Â
âSure!â Celina chimed as she pointed to a hallway behind him. âItâs over there, last door on your left.â
âThank you,â and he goes to the bathroom to wash his face off from the seven different emotions he felt in less than fifteen minutes.Â
He sighed before his superhearing picked up on the conversation you and Celina were having.
"He's a cutie!" He could hear the smirk in her voice.Â
You hum a giggle. âHe is, isnât he?âÂ
It was Peterâs turn to smirk with a blush added to his face. He then crossed his arms and leaned against the wall to listen. He knew it was wrong but it wasnât his fault that he was a spider mutant with enhanced senses.
âHow long have you guys been together, together?â
âHm? Oh, weâŚ.we arenât-âÂ
âOh, please, I saw you two out there. I thought you said it wasnât complicated anymore?â
âI said, it was less complicated.â
You were talking to her about him.
âWell, how about making it not complicated and making a move or something.â
âCelina, Thereâs such thing as taking things slow.â
âI dunno,â Celina sang. âYou two have magnetic energy. I say act on it.â
"How?"
"Ask him to the gala. You need a plus one, no? Take him!"
"...I was gonna ask him actually."
Oh?
"Really? What changed your mind?"
"He'sâŚa busy guy."
"He won't be once he sees that dress you're wearing. He'll be busy with youâŚhopefully taking it off."
Peter blinked rapidly at Celinaâs response. I mean, sheâs not wrong. Only if you consented of course.Â
"CelinaâŚ!"
"What? That's what you want right?"
You went silent and that was all the answer Peter needed to know to solidify your feelings for him. His mind was wandering to places it shouldnât.
"See?"
You sighed. "Nika will give me shit for it." You whined.
"Well tell Nika to remove the giant stick from her ass because it's true love. I can feel it."
âLike actually, orâŚ?â
âI donât need magic to feel the crazy tension between you two.â
Peter smiled and splashed his face with water and decided it was a good time to walk out with a newfound confidence. You were sitting at the kitchen table on the bench with one leg folded under the other and leaning your face on your hand with your elbow propped up on the table. Your eyes shifted to Peter as you swung your unfolded leg back and forth. You smiled at him and he smiled back as he sat next to you.Â
âHey,â You greeted.Â
âHi,â He responded as he met your eyes.Â
âFeeling better?â
âMuch better,â his voice was soft as he got lost in your (e/c) eyes for a moment.Â
The only thing that got you both the break the gaze was Celina putting a plate of chocolate chip cookies, a porcelain teapot filled with tea, and different things to put in the tea like sugar cubes, a saucer with milk, lemon, and honey. She sure knew how to romanticize her life. Even her outfit made up of a black ruffle off-the-shoulder top and a long, flowy, floral, maroon, maxi skirt, made her look like she was a witch in a Ghibli movie.
âSo what kind of reading would you likeâŚ.uhâŚâ She looked up in thought. âI didnât catch your name.â
âOh, fuck,â you cursed under your breath. âPeter. Peter Parker.â
âOh!â Celina beamed as if his name rang a bell. âSo youâre the guy she asked us about. Nice to meet you! Iâm Celina.â
âWhy does everyone remember? I asked you guys once like a month ago.â
âBecause your lone wolf ass hasnât talked about a boy in like three years unless itâs your dream boyfriend.â Celina retorted while picking up the pot of tea. âSo when you bring up a guy we all get a little curious, yâ know?â
You rolled your eyes and waved your hand at her mirroring your father a lot and she hummed in amusement.Â
âSo Peter,â Celina began. âI have several options. I have Tarot cards, tea reading, and palmistry. I could do all three but itâs gonna cost you.â
âOh?â Peter asked with a playful smirk. âHow much?â
âMmm, take (Y/N) on a date.â
âOh my fucking god,â You hid your face.Â
Peter snorted. âI donât need to be bribed to do that.â
You looked at him flabbergasted. He only smiled at you before looking back at Celina who was eating all of this up with excited eyes.Â
âI think Iâll do the Tarot.â
âNuh-uh,â Celina responded. âYouâre getting all three.â
âThank you for everything today,â Peter smiled. âI didnât know I needed all of that.â
You both were standing outside of his apartment building. After Celina did the full reading session on Peter, which he found insightful enough, she talked his ear off for three hours about anything and everything. It gave him nothing but happiness and he savored every word. You mostly just sat there and enjoyed the entire moment. You were leaning back against the wall with your hands in your jacket pocket and one leg crossed over the other.
âAnytime,â You smiled back.
You stood up straight and checked your phone before you tapped your phone on your hand nervously and looked like you were hesitating to say something. Peter could sense your nervousness.
âIâŚuhâŚalso wanted to ask, if you would be my plus one for my charity gala? All your friends are gonna be there, I checked the list so I think itâs only fair that youâre there too especially because of your internship. Not that Iâm only inviting you because of those things! I want you to be there and I want you to go with meâŚif you want. Don't feel obligated or anything. Yeah. You don't have to answer right away either, Itâs like three weeks away and Iâm babbling oh my god shut up (Y/N) please shut the fuck up.âÂ
You turned and leaned on the railing that was next to you both to catch your composure. Peter smiled big and chuckled softly. You reminded him of teenage Peter trying to ask out a teenage you. It was like you guys switched places and he was going to have his fun with it. Especially now that he knows for sure that you feel something for him.Â
âYou were holding that in all day werenât you?âÂ
â...Yeah. I wanted to ask you when I first saw you today but I psyched myself out. Youâre a busy guy and everything so I wasnât sure if-â
He stepped closer to you, leaned his hand on the railing causing the muscles in his arm to flex, and smiled tilting his head slightly. Your noses are centimeters apart and heâs looking into your eyes deeply like heâs searching for something. Your breath hitched slightly at the closeness and it took everything in you to not let your senses take over and pounce on him. You werenât sure if you were unseriously offended, turned on, or both.
Peter fucking Parker, you thought.
Peter fucking me. Your senses hummed at that.
âI would love to be your plus one,â He replied lowly. âBut Iâll let you know for sure by tomorrow. Work schedule and everything.âÂ
âY-yeah, yeah. Work schedule. âYou pressed your lips together still looking into his eyes. Peter could tell you were holding back.Â
âIâll message you.â He finally had your number, that you gave to him at lunch.Â
âG-great, Iâll let you know the time and everything when you do.â
âOkay,â He replied as he glanced down at your lips and stepped back slightly. âI should go inside now, and you should get going before it gets too late.â
âPeter?â you asked, almost desperately.
âHm?â
âWhat you said earlier. Were weâŚâ you started still trying to gain your composure. âWere weâŚyou know more than friendsâŚ?â
He looks at you silently for a moment before opening his mouth to respond.
âYou know what, never mind, ignore that.â You chuckled softly, shaking your head rapidly. âI shouldnât think about these things or my brain might try to split in half again.â
Good point. He smiled. âGoodnight, Stark.â
âGoodnight, Parker.â
He walked backwards towards the door taking in your form before running back first into it and cursing under his breath. He then leaned back against the door with his arms crossed as if to play it off.
You giggled watching him. Such a dork.Â
He blushed looking at you and smiled giving you a salute. You saluted back and walked to your car while he watched you to make sure you got in safely. Once you got into the car and drove off. Peter walked inside and leaned on the door with a happy sigh.

Taste Test
I need to slow down with these updates because hot damn I'm slowing down with the actual writing part but also. Seratonin. Gimme.
I am gonna need you all to make sure you note the Dubious Consent tag this fic has had since the phone sex chapter. It's coming up.
Anyway, have a taste:
Peter is thrown through a window and has enough time to lament about his suit before he hits the ground. Thankfully, his new bullet hole has healed, leaving a shiny silver scar on his skin. The air escapes Peterâs lungs in a pained grunt, but he doesnât have time to worry about any of that.
-
âDeadpool,â Peter gasps, the name scraping harshly from his throat. Deadpool doesnât respond. âWait! Deadpool!â   Â
Deadpool twitches. âThatâs not my name,â he says, but he sounds deadly and dangerous in a way Peter hasnât heard since their very first meeting. It sends his spider sense skittering a warning down his spine.
-
âFancy seeing you here,â Deadpool says, and it jerks at Peter. Hadnât that been what Deadpool had said, just before theyâd started this team up? It felt like so long ago, but Peter realizes itâs really only been about two months.
-
Peter takes a breath before his mouth gets the better of him. Heâs mad at Deadpool for breaking his rules, but Deadpool has every right to be mad at Peter for breaking his. He doesnât want to get into an argument about whose rules are more important, because the whole point is that both of them have respect in this partnership.
If he blows up here, about this, heâs no better than Tony. The thought cools his temper like nothing else.
-
How is the guy supposed to do better if everyone has already written him off? How is he supposed to think of himself as anything but a monster if thatâs all anyone tells him he is? How does anyone expect Peter to let this slide?
Itâs like no one knows Peter Parker.
Even without Deadpoolâs horrific past, this situation would tug at his heart. Deadpool is, for once, a little guy, shoved down and stomped on by too many people too many times. Itâs not the same as the bullying Peter went through (itâs worse) but itâs a similar enough flavour that Peter canât stand it. Peter is determined to offer his hand â and heâll do it even if Deadpool bites him.

Details about the DGSH AU I'm not quiiite sure I'll ever touch upon much but are very dear to me!
- Nico di Angelo played both sides of the Titan War. Not necessarily because he agreed with everything they were doing, but because he became strong friends ("Aqcuaintances, Jackson, get it right") with Ethan Nakamura in the Labrynth and had to at least hear him out
- Wade Wilson met Peter Parker during an undercover mission Peter was doing to locate King Pin's funding locations. They had a fight that ended with Wade holding Peter in place with one arm and calling Stark to pick him up with the other
- Leo Valdez taught Piper McLean morse code! They gossip together using it
- The designs I had in mind for most of the Percy Jackson characters will be a mix of the book and show! I'll maybe have designs out soon depending on my art confidence.
- Peter and Nico were actually vaguely friends before Peter and Percy met. Nico just knew Peter as Spider-Man as they met on patrol, it's why Nico paraphrased the whole "With great power" thing in.. uh... The Blood Of Olympus u think. Nico is also the friend referred to as 'Neo' in "Don't Let This Become A Thing"
- Rachel Dare went to Midtown for a year or so before getting pulled out. She punched Flash Thompson once for bullying Peter and Ned Leeds
- Harley Keener is Bucky Barnes' apprentice, but the heir of Stark Industries. Whereas Peter is Tony Stark's apprentice, but carrying to Spider Legacy only
- Percy just straight up didn't know superheroes existed for ages

Iâm a lokius shipper but can we please stop spreading hate over fictional ships? Those ships are fictional but the person weâre attacking over it are real people. Who cares which ship strangers ship? We donât have to engage with them at all but harassment is never okay no matter from which side it comes.
Because Iâve seen so many of us in the Lokius side complain about how sylki are bullies but weâre also bullying them? Like thatâs what makes the fandom toxic. Let people enjoy whatever they want, and if you donât like what you see, just mute or block, and Iâm saying this with utter respect.
I do actually block sylki shippers đ¤ˇââď¸ Iâve been attacked far too many times by them to actually give a shit.
Iâm not here to hate or bully anyone, I just said my opinion.
You guys should be able to tell the difference between someone stating their opinion and their likings and someone actually attacking and bullying people.
I get what you are saying and I totally agree but I also think Iâm allowed to share my opinion (if Iâm not hurting anyone in any way).
I didnât call anyone names neither did I send them threats (like theyâve done before to me)
I just called the ship disgusting like Iâd call any other ship I find disgusting.
For example Peter x tony. I find this ship extremely disgusting and disturbing and Iâm allowed to say so
If you guys donât like my opinions please block me or just donât engage đ¤ˇââď¸

Ghostface ch1
Marvel | Starker
The only thing Peter likes about Halloween is the candy, but when his bully, Tony, starts to tease him he's ready to prove his courage. Even if that means tolerating it as Tony follows him around in a scary mask. It's not like he could really hurt him, right?
Rating: Explicit
Another amazing prompt by H <3

Warnings/tags: underage(but they're both teens), highschool au, Halloween, fear kink, crying, stalking, ghostface mask, romnoncon, knife play, teasing/bullying, humiliation
"What did you get?" Peter asked as they walked back down the steps to the sidewalk. He dug through his pumpkin shaped basket with one hand. It was only half full thanks to the number of neighbors who were shooing teenagers away this year.
"Milkyway, what did you get?" Ned answered, just as absorbed in his candy bucket.
"Kit-Kat. You wanna swap?"
"For a Kit-Kat?" Ned scoffed. "Parker, you're out of your mind."
Peter looked up from his bucket. His disappointed sigh caught in his throat as he laid eyes on a black figure standing at the corner. A long white face turned towards him and he stumbled. His body wanted to freeze, but he knew better than to show fear on Halloween.
"Pete?" Ned looked up, then at his friend. "Come on, let's cross here." He led the way, cutting between the cars slowly rolling along, carrying the little kids who can't walk as far.
On the other side of the street, Peter took a breath. "I don't get why anyone likes scary stuff."
Ned shrugged. "Some of it's cool."
"They could at least wait until the little kids go home. They're gonna make somebody cry." Ned glanced at him and Peter rolled his eyes. "I'm not that scared."
"Just let me know when you're ready to go home. I don't mind leaving early."
"I'm fine, Ned. Seriously."
They carried on up the street, stopping at a few houses. Eventually the street grew dark as people turned out their porch lights signaling a lack of candy. The crowd thinned along with it as people went home or tried other neighborhoods.
"Should we head out?" Ned asked.
"My basket's not even full," Peter complained. The sound of a shuffling step behind him made his hair stand on end. He looked back and there was the guy in the white mask. Peter swallowed and quickly faced forward. It was just a mask. Nothing to be afraid of.
"Let's cut over a few streets and see if we can find something," Peter suggested. Ned followed his lead. They turned to the left and carried on. Lights in the distance gave them hope as they marched along. It was only when Peter let his guard down that something jumped out from the shadows between houses.
Peter screamed. He held onto his basket but the jolt sent some of the candy flying out. Ned reached a hand out for him, but Peter stood frozen as the man in the mask looked at him. Then the asshole broke out in laughter, doubling over.
He took the mask off and looked at him, grinning.
"Tony, what the fuck!" Ned protested. "That's not cool, man."
Tony only had eyes for Peter and his beet red face. "You should have seen yourself, Peter. You're not afraid of this thing are you?" He held up the mask.
"You jumped out at me, asshole."
"So you're not scared then?" He smirked.
"No! I'm not a baby." Peter glared back at him.
Tony's grin was cruel. "Well then, let's fill up your little basket. I know a spot." He turned away, not giving him the chance to argue, though Ned tried anyway.
"Uh, we were actually about to pack it in for the night," Ned said.
"Just come on." Peter nudged him as they followed behind. Tony turned and winked at him before slipping the mask back on.
They passed a couple of streets, headed to where the houses were bigger and the decorations more ornate. Peter watched with dread as the house that haunted his nightmares came into view.
He'd seen it from the back of May's car several times. It always made him shudder. Fog machines cloaked the yard, but the shine of green lights cut through to light a path up to the door. The property was fenced in, hiding most of the decorations, but Peter could see things moving just over the top of it. A couple of kids still lingered in the area and he could hear screaming coming from the other side of the fence.
"They've got full sized bars if you can make it to the porch. That's if you can," Tony teased.
"Of course I can," Peter said, but it didn't sound convincing.
"All by yourself?" Tony tipped his head at Ned.
"Come on, man," Ned huffed. "This is fucked up."
Tony shrugged. "It's just some stupid plastic decorations. It's not like he's gonna get hurt."
"Yeah..." Peter said.
"Perfect. I'll meet you there." Tony took off through the gate without another word.
"Peter don't." Ned grabbed his arm before he could follow. "Let's just go home."
"No way. I can do this. Besides, Tony bullies me enough at school. I'm not giving him another excuse."
"I hate to be that guy, but when he hears you scream, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, like a little bitch, he's gonna have an excuse."
"Oh screw you." Peter pushed past him and passed through the gate.
Inside were some hanging plastic skeletons. Their legs swayed in the breeze. Speakers played a soundtrack of rattling chains, creaking floors, and an occasional distance scream. It made even the stupid little skeletons seem a lot scarier than they should.
He passed the skeletons and rounded the corner. At the end of this row was a grim reaper with glowing red eyes and a wide grin. He stopped and stared for a moment, finding his courage, but he screamed jumping out of his skin as something grabbed him from behind. He whirled around, backing toward the grim reaper, to see Tony in his stupid mask.
"Stop doing that!"
Tony didn't say anything. He just cocked his head to the side and stood there, staring.
"Are you coming or what?" Peter asked. Tony still didn't answer. Behind him, the grim reaper began to laugh. He turned back around, startled, but when he looked back for Tony he was gone.
Peter rolled his eyes and carried on, though he walked as far from the grim reaper as he could. He could feel Tony watching him somewhere outside the maze. The panicked urge to find him distracted him from the decorations until he finally made it to the porch. He expected Tony to come out and taunt him for being a baby about a stupid Halloween maze, but he just let him get his candy bar from a lady dressed like a witch before heading back into the maze.
Peter took a deep breath. At least going back couldn't be as scary. Or that's what he thought until he was grabbed again. This time a hand grabbed his neck and something touched his stomach. He looked down and felt his body go cold at the sight of a large kitchen knife against his body.
"Tony?" he whimpered. This was too far. It didn't feel like a game anymore.
The hand around his neck squeezed while the knife against his stomach slid slowly down to his waist, over the band of his pants, and down his thigh. Through the thin fabric of his costume, he could feel the edge of the blade as if the material weren't even there.
"Please," he whimpered. Tony grunted, pulling him backward against his chest. Out of the corner of his eye could see that awful mask looming.
"Scared, Petey? Afraid I might hurt you?" He dug the tip of the knife into the seam of his costume. There was the tiniest bit of pain, but he was so scared he wanted to scream.
"Please don't hurt me, please."
"Tell me. Admit it."
"Yes- I'm scared! Tony please, I'm scared! Let me go!"
The confession only made him tremble harder and the tears fell from his eyes. Tony let go of his neck and ripped the mask off his face, but he grabbed him again before he could even think to move. Peter shuddered as his tongue touched the skin of his shoulder and ran all the way up to his chin. He ran the knife back up, the tip running over his crotch, finding his tummy and slipping under his shirt.
"Please don't hurt me!" He pleaded. The knife dug in just a hair. "Please- please stop!"
Tony laughed darkly in his ear. "It's only Halloween, Peter. Don't be so dramatic." He took the knife away and let go of his throat. Then he shoved him forward into the grass.
Peter half crawled, half ran, until he was back on his feet. He ran back through the maze, all of those glowing eyes adding to his nausea until he was back out on the street.

In Every Lie Theres a Truth
https://archiveofourown.org/works/61711426 by tummyhurtss A spin on the classic Peter Parker field trip to Stark Industries, only he's not the one trying to hold together a not-so-carefully constructed lie; he's the one trying to expose it. The elevator dings, and Peter steps out, words already tumbling out of his mouth as he trudges into the penthouse. âUh, Dad⌠letâs just sayâhypothetically, of courseâwhat do you do when someone in your class is, um, claiming to be you? Or, not you-you, because, yâknow, they donât actually know you exist⌠Well, they know you exist, butâŚâ âPete, buddy, spit it out!â Tony interrupts with a laugh, watching his son stumble through his explanation. Peter huffs, his backpack dangling from one shoulder as he drops it near the couch. âOkay, fine. My Irondad fic recs!
I thought of doing this because why not? Admittedly, I'm not reading as much fanfiction as I did a couple years ago, but some fics have changed my life entirely. In case I forgot one, I'll add it later!
I wouldâve organized this in a bullet list, but Tumblr hates me and invented a character limit for that. So this is going to be long and will be under the cut. Anyway, letâs do this!
Rare and Sweet As Cherry Wine by loubuttons â I've mentioned this one before, but this fic right here was what inspired me to write my own Irondad works. One very particular detail I like about it is how it portrays Maria, Tony's mother. It's not what I usually see in other fics about Tony's childhood, since they tend to make Howard the big bad parent. Of course, this is because I personally related to it, as I don't believe in the "bad parent vs. good parent". I also like that it praises Edwin Jarvis as the one who looked out for Tony the most. It's pretty realistic and a very melancholic character study, IMO. *TW for abuse and neglect*
You're Always Iron Man by madasthesea â a very short fic but I absolutely love the premise. Takes place after the big battle in Iron Man 2, and Tony finds little Peter again. They have a very endearing interaction. The following chapter is also very cute!
Nothing like a fresh cup of humiliation in the morning by madasthesea â Pure fluff! This one is probably a classic in the Irondad fandom. Tony kisses Peter's forehead without second thought. Shenanigans ensue. It's so adorable and funny. If you just want to read fluff without angst, this one is for you.
when my body won't hold me anymore (where will I go) by madasthesea - I think I heard about this fic thanks to @/irondadfics here on Tumblr, but I might be wrong since I already knew the Nice work, kid series. Anyway, Peter is believed to be dead, so Tony (and the rest of the Avengers team) is mourning him. In reality, Peter is astral projecting. You know, sort of like how Stephen Strange, in his first movie, was fighting a guy in the other dimension while his body on Earth was struggling to live. That's basically what happens. Strange appears, of course, and saves the day. And I pretty much LOVE the presumed dead trope. I don't know why. Maybe it's the angst of it all. *TW for grief/mourning and temporary character death*
The Reason by doctornineandthreequarters â I think I read this one when I was still writing Oh, take me back to the start. I was looking for fics for inspiration, and I found this one. During the Time Heist in Endgame, Tony remembers the reason he's fighting to bring everyone else back. It's very emotional.
Couch Cuddles by happyaspie â Classic sickfic, but with more fluff than anything. I like rereading it when I feel lonely and touch-starved, especially when I'm also sick like Peter.
Youâre So Much Like Me (Iâm Sorry) by SpaceCowboysFromMars â Irondad + Miles Morales! Peter is an adult in this, and he freaks out when an injured Miles arrives in his apartment. Tony gives him some wisdom about mentoring and parenting. I donât usually find Irondad stories featuring Miles (and not necessarily a Spider-Verse crossover), so this was a nice discovery. Peter & Miles & Tony is a very underrated trio IMO. *TW for slight gore*
I'm Glad I Have You by punkybunny â Peter has been having a rough time, dealing with loneliness as Aunt May is not home often, and with bullying at school... until he finally has the chance to spend time with Tony. However, the demons don't disappear completely. Obviously, more Hurt/Comfort, lmao. *TW for nightmare/bad dream*
I Want to Trust You by punkybunny â Actually part of a series that, admittedly, I haven't read all the other stories. But even this one is a very interesting concept on its own. This is a Hydra Peter AU, after Peter has been rescued. He gets sick but given his past in Hydra, he thinks Tony is going to get angry. Peter is proven wrong when Tony helps him get better. The ending is very adorable. I'll see if I can read the rest of the series one day. *TW for past abuse and experimentation*
what you think I've done wrong by ironxprince â I don't often read Biodad stories as you all know, but I was, again, looking for inspiration for You keep me searching for a heart of gold, and I stumbled across this one. Basically Peter, as Tony's biological son, finally meets Howard. It goes as well as you think /sarcasm. *TW for physical abuse*
i, in time, will climb my mountain by ironxprince â This one is heavy. Once again, Peter is Tony's bio son, and he's suicidal. Every time Peter attempts suicide, he buys a new plant. Tony doesn't know this, so he's confused as to why there are so many plants in their house. I love this one, but of course, I try to read it when Iâm not having a really bad day. *Once again, TW for suicide attempts*
how do you get that lonely (and nobody knows?) by parkrstark â Yeah... another heavy one. Peter attempts suicide but he saves himself before he reaches the ground. With that, he goes to Tony. This ends happily, don't worry. *TW for suicide attempt*
When You Can't Sleep by Emily_F6 â Pretty much Tony comforting a sleepy Peter, who has just had a nightmare about Thanos. Just Hurt/Comfort and domestic fluff. *TW for mention of death*
i get by (but it's eating me alive) by Livinei â Honestly, I think this is the BEST May's Abusive Boyfriend story I've ever read. For one, none of the characters are oblivious nor dismissive of Peter's feelings. May isn't neglectful and Ned actually tries to encourage Peter to tell someone. I also like that Peter isn't completely helpless. I don't usually see those things in other fics with this trope, sadly. And of course, Protective Tony is my weakness. *TW for emotional and physical abuse*
Hold Me Together by An_Odd_Idea â Post-Endgame where Tony is alive, and Peter and Tony are both trying to cope, so they rely on each other. Pure Hurt/Comfort.
A Tremendous Thing by ExpectoPatronum â Possibly one of my favorite Irondad stories EVER. Also post-Endgame with Alive Tony (though the author better explains it in the notes, it's supposed to be part of a series, but this story can be read on its own). There are a lot of references to Charlotte's Web if you're familiar with it. Basically, it's Father's Day and Peter is feeling guilty and out of place at Tony's lake house, even though everyone is readily trying to include him. It's absolutely beautiful and painful.
Hug You I Must by spiderwriting (catch_you_later) â Probably one of the first touch-starved Peter fics I've read. I like how it describes touch-starvation as this "itchy" current in your body, something that makes you anxious. Thankfully, Peter gets his hug later on. Plus there are some Star Wars references (the title probably is one, lol). *There's some minor violence here when Peter is fighting off some bad guys, but not the focus of the fic*
When You're There With No One There To Hold, I'll Be The Arms That Reach For You by Squibbles94 â Another touch-starved Peter fic. But I really like the references to Cast Away. Ironically I saw this movie in the same year the author published this fic (dare I say SHORTLY after it was posted). I also had no idea that Cast Away was entirely about isolation. Gosh, the main character's monologue at the end ALWAYS gets to me... anyway, yeah, the peak of the pandemic was awful to me, so reading fics like this one helped tons. It still does.
I am cold by N/A (orphan account) â Peter tries to visit Tony, but he gets lost in a subway tunnel on a freezing day. Eventually we learn why Peter wanted to see Tony, but overall this is mainly domestic fluff. Everything ends well.
Sorry Pedro by PinkEasterEggs â One of the first Irondad fics I read. Peter has a nightmare about Homecoming (mainly Toomes), but he avoids waking Tony for that reason. But thanks to F.R.I.D.A.Y's protocols, Peter goes to his mentor. Tony is also super soft here and it makes my heart swoon.
you are enough by diaz_evan â Another post-Endgame fic. Arguably I began reading Irondad fics only after Endgame released. Anyway, this one is short, kinda sad but it ends well. Itâs Tonyâs birthday and Peter feels very anxious about what to get him as a present. Thankfully, he doesnât need to prove his love for Tony. *TW for panic attack*
Happy Fatherâs Day, Mr. Stark by downeylove â There are a lot of Fatherâs Day fics for these two, of course, but this one takes the cake for me. Itâs simple but very endearing to me. Tony obviously doesnât have good memories of this day, but Peter changes that for the first time. Itâs really cute. Plus, Pepper is here, and I love her. I wish I could read more of her interacting with Peter. *TW for mentions of alcoholism and past child abuse*
5 Times Peter Didnât Say He Was Struggling⌠And The One Time He Did by Bladam_Shevine â Again, an old fic I read years ago. I admit I havenât re-read it in a while, but I remember enjoying it and even saving it to read offline. Itâs basically what it says in the title: Peter struggles in many ways and he initially refuses help. Tony is always there to reassure him he can count on him. Bruce is here if you like him! And MJ helps Peter on one of the chapters as well. The chapters might get heavier as they go, but it ends on a hopeful note. *TW for injury, panic attack, suicide attempt (it doesnât involve Peter), and depression*
The Good Days and the Bad by SoupGirlLovesSoup - Peter has had a bad day, now he's cuddling with Tony. It takes a while before Peter finally tells him what happened. It gets sad, but it's mostly fluff and it ends hopefully. I love re-reading it when I need the comfort. *TW for mention of suicide attempt, depression, and bullying*
Breathe Again by gwenoakley - Post-Endgame where Tony survives. He's recovering in the hospital and Peter finally reunites with him. Before that, though, we can feel the anxiety and trauma Peter feels. Definitely makes me emotional. It's the ending they deserved.
Popsicles and Playgrounds by ironfamjam - I can't believe I forgot to save this one in my bookmarks. I used to re-read this all the time! It's an AU where MIT student Tony meets a kid Peter. Eventually, Tony becomes Peter's babysitter! This is part of a series, which I still have to read fully. It's such a wholesome idea!! <3 *Howard's bad parenting is mostly mentioned*
Well, for now this is it! Again, I might add more fics here. I think I also could make a list of what particular concepts I want to read more in Irondad stories, so maybe you guys could give me your own recs. I might try to resume my habit of reading Irondad fics, because they give me a lot of comfort. Thanks for reading this far! I hope you enjoy any of the stories I included.
(I'm aware some authors here have their accounts on Tumblr, but I didn't want to annoy anyone by tagging them, so yeah đ
)
EDIT (June 4th, 2024): What Irondad fics I would like to read!

Hi!! I was wondering if you knew any fics (rarer ones or ones that arenât as popular cause Iâve probably read them) where Peter and Tony used to have that father son relationship or used to be closer but something happens and they go no contact until some plot point causes them to interact again. I really enjoy when after their little hiatus apart Peter becomes a more hardened person and I also like when he starts becoming more of a vigilante (starts working with other ones) and stops identifying as a hero.
Thank you!! Have a wonderful day!!<3
here you go, could these be close to what youâre looking for?
Stab Me in the Back (I'll Catch You From Behind)Â by Lansfics7
"I am going to find Tony," the man hisses in Peter's ear, his gaze cold and cruel. "And when I do, I will kill him, slowly. What do you say to that-" The man stops short because Peter's shoulders are shaking, and before he can curl his lip in victory, he hears a snicker. When he lets go of Peter's hair, the teen's head slumps to his chest, but it's not out of exhaustion or defeat...it's to hide a smile. The boy lets out a laugh, shaking his head before glancing to the sides admitting apologetically, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, it's just- it is so fun to mess with you!" He looks around before snorting, "Tony Stark? That's your play? You're not screwing with me, right? You actually thought that would work? Sorry guys." Peter straightens in his chair with a sneer and a cocky wink, "Tony doesn't give a flying crap about me."  In other words.... Peter is kidnapped and his captors think they can hold Tony against him. But they don't know what's happened in the past couple months.
All The Things You Said (And What You Wish You Would Have Instead) by JAWorley
Peter and Tony have a huge fight and Peter gets banned from the tower. What Tony doesn't know is that Peter's been struggling with issues at home, and severe bullying at school by Flash. When he finds out, he's angry he made Peter feel like he couldn't come to him for help. Has a happy ending, I promise!
The World Forgot by Blue__Dreams
this is Part 2 of the Feelin' Like An Astronaut series
Scene starts in Chapter 4
Now I'm stuck out here and the world forgot Can I please come down, come down 'Cause I'm tired of drifting round and round Can I please come down? Now I lie awake and scream in a zero gravity And it's starting to weigh down on me." -Astronaut by Simple Plan ~~~~~~ "Kid." Tony sighed. "You can't be getting into fights. Especially since school is almost over." Clint ran into the room. "WHOOHOO!! DID YOU BEAT HIM UP PETER?! DID YOU GET THAT PUNK REAL GOOD?" "Uh, yes?" Peter answered, confused and bewildered. "Good job, Peter." Natasha complimented. Steve nodded with a smile while Tony groaned. "Guys, we shouldn't be encouraging him!" ~~~~~~ OR 5 times the Avengers looked out for Peter, and the 1 time they couldn't (and it goes terribly wrong).

Spider-Man Makes an Appearance (ao3) - finemeal harley/peter T, 7k
Summary: Peter can't go on the surprise field trip because he's missed too many days due to his internship and patrol. However, Tony comforts him by telling him that a tour is going to be coming to the tower, so he can make an appearance as Spider-Man. Peter can't wait for the tour, but what will happen when they find out that the tour is actually his class?
The Home Invasion (ao3) - Blue_Glass harley/peter, pepper/tony N/R, 13k
Summary: Peter Stark, more commonly known as Peter Parker, just missed out on the secret Academic Decathlon field trip because he had miscounted his days absent from school. Well at least he gets to stay home for the day right? What happens next is purely coincidence, but really Peter should have expected this to happen.
The Night We Met (ao3) - royallyidiotic G, 1k
Summary: Peter Parker helps distract Bucky from a nightmare.
the obligatory field trip fic (ao3) - bajabucky harley/peter T, 8k
Summary: Sure, Peter had had worse days. Like that time heâd been out until 2am on patrol before a test. Or the field trip to Oscorp. But this had to be in his top five. What ruined his otherwise good day was the location of the field trip. Stark Tower.
Or, my version of the âPeterâs field trip to SIâ trope.
what a surprise, a field trip. (ao3) - orphan_account T, 3k
Summary: Now,â she said, stepping in front of the chalkboard, âI have some very exciting news.â Peter raised a disbelieving eyebrow. âAs you may know, Stark Industries recently began an education initiative, and one part of this initiative includes field trips to the SI labs. I applied for our class, and our application was accepted.â
---
or, peter's physics class (me?? just using the acadec team bc im too lazy to make more ocs??? where did you get that idea???) takes a trip to stark industries. featuring: peter's bizzarely high clearance level, peter being resident genius, and, of course, the lovable ball of sunshine that is amy parker.

AEW doesn't do stories
I don't know if you saw...but AEW Fans âDonât get more storytelling across the boardâ. This comes from the well respected source Bully Ray, and for starters I want to address what Mr Ray...Mr Dudley said rather than just talking about the headline. Bubba said that Tony Khan is a 'matchmaker' and that is the reason why AEW fans don't get more storytelling across the board. And to a certain extent he's right. Ok...ok...ok I know Devon, Spike and Big Dick's brother is certainly wrong but just for a second cast your mind back to this years' revolution. The Elite fought The House of Black and the story for this match was simply 'The House of Black showed up and challenged The Elite' that was it and it was amazing! That show kicked arse and it was in my top three matches of the night, a night that featured Danielson/MJF's hour long spectacular, Hangman/Moxley's psycho sexual deathmatch (I'm a Hangmox supporter), the final burial and the tag fatal four way and Joe and Wardlow's HOS fight.
This match was great...this is why Buh Buh Ray is missing the point. Tony quite often does book matches that people want to see and then just let people get themselves excited and use that for build. And you know what that's fine. Because it bloody works. It sells tickets, it sells PPVs and people have a good time with it. Literally Forbidden Door 1 & 2 have been mostly been built on this.
But certainly our favourite TNA wrestler is certainly wrong and AEW fans have had a large amount of storytelling and there's lots of stories I could talk about and I'm sure you are thinking of some and obviously the name I am about to say is who you're thinking about...
...
...
...
Brandon Cutler...and...Peter Avalon.
No explanation needed. In 2020 AEW launched their now defunct AEW Dark show. Now newer AEW Fans might know it as the show where AEW shoved like 12 meaningless matches every week but originally it featured actual stars like Pretty Peter Avalon (no but like seriously the YB were on it often at the start among other stars mixed in with less experienced or exposed wrestlers.) Pretty Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler are both on losing streaks they are a heel and face respectively, and after having both incurred countless singles losses Avalon's manager Librarian Leva Bates suggests that they form a team. Brandon thinks the idea might work, Peter takes more convincing but eventually they form 'The Initiative'. Their first tag match is against QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes on AEW Dark #36 which they lost. They then lost to Jurassic Express. Well...Jurassic Express AND SCU and then the Young Bucks and then the Dark Order and then the express again and then the Butcher and The Blade and then The FTR and then Joey Janela and Sonny Kiss and then TH2 and then Chaos Project and then Private Party and then Avalon turns on Cutler.
Peter tired of losing realises that the only way to stop losing is to fight a loser. So the stage is set for the 52nd episode of Dark, Avalon versus Cutler losing streak versus losing streak. And I'll tell you this...it's a double count out draw! So they have a rematch a few weeks later. a rematch that ends in a double DQ. So 'Tony Khan' (the Young Bucks probably, really, if we're honest) organise a contract signing between the two on Being The Elite for a No Count out No Disqualification match between Pretty Peter Avalon and Brandon Cutler in which Brandon Cutler finally breaks his losing streak and beats Peter Avalon.
There you have it. It was a simple story told...pretty much perfectly. That's my proof that the brother to the Reverend is wrong. Even with AEW's youtube shows AEW fans get great storytelling. (I know AEW storytelling isn't always perfect, I'm not saying that AEW storytelling is always good but I'm saying that as fans we've had an ample amount of storytelling and AEW stories can be great even when just on Dark and BTE)
I don't know. I hope this illustrated my point well
This has been Undisputed Queer-a.

Right Wing Parties Donât Govern For All

Peter Dutton has taken the Liberal party further to the right, as most Australians well know. His leadership of the LNP Coalition means that he brings the same intentions to his bid to become PM of Australia. Right wing parties donât govern for all. Rather they come to the table with a slew of culture war inspired prejudices. Anti-immigration, anti-refugee, anti-trans, anti-renewables, and anti-public servant are all strong intentions they bring to their campaign to govern this nation. Dutton is inspired by Donald Trump and his extremist dismantling of government for all those he derides. DEI, USAID, the Education Department â all those lefties, non-whites, women and LGBTQI folk are the enemies of Trumpâs America.
Right Wing Coalition Will Not Govern For Those They Deride
The LNP Coalition, in a similar vein, will take courage in a Trumpist America and start similar attacks on the fabric of government here. Every time the Coalition gets into power they attempt to take Australia further right toward the United Statesâ way of doing things. They hate socialised medicine and Medicare, which they tried to eradicate for 33 years, will be neglected in a bid to discredit it with the citizenry. Tony Abbott tried to privatise higher education to make our sandstone universities cash cows charging hundreds of thousands of dollars for degrees. The neoliberal right wing way is to privatise everything and make âuser paysâ the credo for Australia. They believe in the power of market forces, despite the fact of the current housing crisis not delivering adequate shelter for many working Australians. The market has priced thousands of us out of having a home. In reality, it is tax scams that have driven the massive inflation in the residential property market downunder. A 50% capital gains tax discount, negative gearing, and superannuation as bolt hole for the very wealthy to hide their money from the tax man. This is not market forces but manipulation by the rich and powerful. The LNP governs for the oligarchs and the wealthier parts of the country. Remember the Stage 3 tax cuts, before Albanese made them fairer for all Australians.

Slashing The Public Service By The Trumpist LNP Coalition Slashing jobs from the public service to the tune of some 36, 000 jobs is the keystone of the Dutton LNP campaign. Remember that Albanese was forced to rebuild the public service after 10 years of Morrison, Turnbull and Abbott. They had syphoned off tens of billions of dollars to their mates at PwC, KPMG etc to do the job of the public service at ten times the rate. The Libs had gutted the public service in their ideologically inspired but economically stupid purges. Reducing government means less transparency and more macro corruption, as the private sector fills the bill at ten times the cost. Government spending never comes down under LNP federal governments, they just move the figures around on the balance sheets and tell you what they want you to hear. Plus, their insider mates benefit from huge government tenders and jobs for the boys. The anti-public service stance of the LNP plays well to their perpetually disgruntled voters, who only ever think of themselves and their hip pockets. The Right Appeal To The Greed Of Those Who Already Have More Donald Trump has inspired right wing political parties to push unadulterated selfishness as a vote winner. The disgusting Trump is an unmitigated bully who picks on weaker opponents. Interestingly, Trump has only ever beaten female Presidential contenders. The only time he faced another bloke was a really old Joe Biden who beat him fair and square. What did he do? He lied about being cheated but was never able to provide any actual evidence that stood up in court for his repeated lies and false claims. Trump is a bad loser and has no class, zilch in this regard. Still, he inspires right wing folk like Peter Dutton, who never let the facts get in the way of sewing fear in the electorate. Divisive Dutton told his followers, during the Voice referendum, that âif you donât know, vote No.â Another way of understanding this is the LNP preference for keeping folk dumb, as it is easier to manipulate them on this basis. Appeal to their innate prejudices and bigotry. Donât ask more from the citizenry, rather, drill down into their comfort zones and appeal to their greed for more. The Right Wing Parties Run A Zero Sum Game Right wing parties donât govern for all. A big part of their platform is demonising the other. Once again appealing to the polarising human trait, which seeks to punish others in the race. The right wing parties runs a zero sum game, where a few winners take all and there are losers galore. They demonise difference to make you feel better about your greed and proclivity to want to see others punished. Immigrants and illegal refugees are bad people, according to their propaganda. Gang members, rapists, paedophiles, and scammers â all evil and this government will punish them if elected. In addition, they demonise LGBTQI folk and especially trans people because they go against God and how nature intends things to be. This is a big vote winner, especially among non-college educated folk who donât have any experience of gay people in their lives. This is because if you actually have a family member or close intimate who is one of these people you know that instead of being demons they are only human like you and me. Propaganda does not work when faced with direct experience running contrary to the lies being promulgated. I mean, what power hungry individuals and parties will do is unabashedly shameful.
Peter Dutton In A Constant State Of Alarm Peter Dutton has called for the power for politicians, like him, to have the power to deport dual citizens. The courts already have this power, why do populist politicians want this power? Could it be to perform strongman acts on centre stage, where the biased right wing Murdoch owned press can applaud in print and across digital screens? What a powerful and decisive leader locking up the bad guys and then kicking them out of our pure country. Anglo-settler nations, like Australia, have a white European seam running through them. Right wing political parties appeal to this white supremacist undercurrent, this belief that white men are the natural leaders of the land. An ex-cop from Queensland who has repeatedly cried wolf about the dangers of multicultural Australia being antisemitic, after his junket tour to Israel. About the dangers posed by China. Dutton was alarmed about Indigenous Australians being empowered by the Voice to parliament. He was alarmed about stateless refugees all being dangerous criminals threatening the safety of the nation, as if they were a marauding force. Peter Dutton is seemingly in a perpetual state of alarm or could it be a political ploy to win votes via the anxieties of some Australians? Donât Let Australia Become A Mini Trumpist America In Trumpâs America undercover, masked police are picking up legally working academics on university campuses and disappearing them. These university professors and Fulbright scholars have written pro-Palestinian independence essays in journals but have done nothing to break the law. This is what right wing fascist dictatorships do to dissenting voices within their communities. https://www.instagram.com/stevendonziger/reel/DHrSR6sy0I6 This is not what we want to see happening in Australia. We need to stand like a beacon against such blatant misuse of power by the state. Right wing parties donât govern for all. Rather, they look after their defined sort of people at the expense of diversity and equity. This is why they have demonised DEI initiatives through continual lies and exaggerations. Once again, appealing to the sensitivities of the already dominant white cohort within populations. This is called reclaiming victimhood status. They are disenfranchising the actual victims and making them out to be villains, so that the majority white population can feel better about always looking out for their own interests first and finally. It is disgusting behaviour on both scores.

The world is a complex place and there are no simple solutions, despite the BS put about by populist demagogues. If you hurt someone else they are going to come back and hurt you or yours. Divisive leaders who go around drumming up popularity on the back of promises of retribution will not make Australia a better or safer place. If we provide a fairer nation offering economic opportunity for all sorts of ordinary Australians things will be better for all. Donât get sucked into believing the shite about there being bad people and strongman tripe about protecting the nation. This is all garbage, history tells us so, as none of this is new. Right wing parties, like the LNP Coalition, donât govern for all. They are the party of the oligarchs and how they see the world, which is by making a buck out of you at the expense of our rights. Why donât we tax extreme wealth in Australia? Why do we tax wage earners but not  those who make much more money out of their capital at similar rates? Why is housing so bloody expensive? It is because the rich get looked after at the expense of the working poor. Over the last 25 years, the Coalition have been in power for 17 of those years â they have defined the economic conditions in which we live through governing Australia. The lack of competition in every sector on the back of mergers and takeovers approved by the ACCC. This has killed off consumer buying power. Capitalism doesnât work properly if there is no real competition in the âso calledâ free market. The system has been gamed by CEOs, boards, and complicit governments and their agencies in Oz. We have copied the Americans, of course, we bring out their business leaders and employ them on huge multi million dollar salaries.

President Trump Congratulates Record Breaking Astronaut (NHQ201704240006) by NASA HQ PHOTO is licensed under CC-BY-NC-ND 2.0 Albanese is not a charismatic strongman leader; indeed, he lacks a lot in this regard. However, he leads a team of capable and dedicated ministers who have guided Australia through a tough economic period. The Albanese government has mended the many Chinese economic sanctions costing the nation billions following the Coalitionâs behaviour in this regard. There has been modest wage growth, especially at the bottom, whereas no wage growth but rather stagnation occurred under the Coalition. This is because the LNP are the party of the bosses and multinational corporations. Things have become fairer under the Albanese Labor government for workers amid the winding back of labour hire abuses under the Coalitionâs decade in power. Cost of living support has been sustained under this government despite the high inflation they inherited from Morrison. Economically, things are looking up after touching the bottom of the RBA enforced cycle. Inflation has been tamed at the cost of a sluggish economy, but that is always the way. Now, we can move forward together in a somewhat fairer economy. There is still a lot to do to improve things but now is not the time to listen to lies about the need for deregulation. Deregulation wonât help you; it will only make more money for the billionaires. It will make things less safe for your family and less fair for all Australians.  Oh, one last thing do not forget the lessons re-Robodebt. This LNP Coalition government scheme was an ideologically motivated attack on poor and vulnerable Australians. It cost peopleâs lives and us taxpayers $1.8 billion in a settled class action against the Coalition government. A Royal Commission and several NACC inquiries later, we are still waiting for someone to be held accountable for this illegal betrayal of 500, 000 ordinary Australians. Dirty deeds done by right wing idealogues in the LNP and upper echelons of the public service. If you want to see someone punished how about for this disgraceful abuse of state power. oohhh yes
tony fakes his own death after endgame and lives peacefully with his family in upstate new york. itâs an open secret in the superhero community, but no one outside of this group knows that tony is still alive.
so after happy has picked up peter and heard all about whatâs happened, he tells tony. being the protective iron dad he is, tony canât just sit back and let some maniacal engineer bully his son just because the sociopath managed to get himself fired from stark industries. he apparently has a score to settle with this man and heâs not about to let peter inherit an ex-employeeâs beef with the starks the way tony did when vanko appeared in all his whipped up glory.
tony goes all out gets costume-grade makeup done to make himself look like a zombie as a loving throwback to the fucked up illusion that beck created for peter. then he hacks the drones to create a cute little fun house mirror effect to surround beck and reflect every single movement tony makes in the suit. when the snarl on the armorâs faceplate starts drawing back, unhinging like a snakeâs jaw to reveal tonyâs zombie face, well.
beck simply soils his pants and faints.
all in all an easy win, really.
p.s. EDITH actually stands for Eating Donuts In The House bc thatâs tonyâs favorite thing to do in retirement.
the first thing tony does when he starts developing the nanobots is make sure they can make the face plate of the iron man suit emote.
