i keep coming back to 'i was a functioning alcoholic til nobody noticed my new aesthetic' because i do distinctly remember conversations about how taylor seemed to be drinking a lot more and getting drunk at like every awards show she went to. and those conversations were coming from a place of concern and of hoping that she was alright and that this wasn't a problem.
so to then say 'ugh i can't believe no one noticed this problem i had' when i know that people definitely did, and on the same album say that fans who are genuinely concerned about a new relationship that you are in are just 'bitching and moaning'? what do you want from them? you're talking about so many people who do at least believe that they are coming from a place of care and concern, and you are totally dismissing them on both ends of a scale!
not to mention that her implying that since nobody (???) was noticing her ~aesthetic~ drinking problem she just stopped having it is a bit of a kick in the teeth to people who do have drinking problems and can't just stop having them, since that's not how it fucking works.

ok so imagine being law. imagine you are trafalgar law from one piece. you decide to form an alliance with monkey d luffy because he was the most convenient option at the time and you really want to take down doflamingo. you dont really know luffy very well because you only met him one time for like five minutes. almost immediately after sealing the deal on your alliance you regret it because youve realized that luffy is a maniac who listens to nobody and his crew is made up of freaks. "oh god what have i done im screwed" you think, because luffy doesnt even understand what "alliance" means. he thinks youre his new best friend now. but the cook reassures you that luffy is good on his promises despite his eccentricity and you can trust him. he seems sympathetic to your plight, like he understands how you feel. "oh thank god, someone normal i can talk to" you think. five minutes later you watch the cook nearly pass out because he saw a womans bare ankle. you regret waking up that morning.

my theory is that unless they're actively trying, people stop aging at 22 and then are 22 for the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 10th, 20th time. i tried explaining it to someone once and they laughed at me saying "aw you wish, no, you just keep getting older" actually YOU WISH pal. nowhere did i say it's a good thing. it all takes hard work

The Batman fandom infantilizing a near 30 years old white man taking in a child, saying he was a brother more than a father as if he wasn't a full grown adult taking in a child he could have birthed, but parentifying a brown young adult taking in his brother pre-teen for less than a year, saying he was a father more than a brother (only a year is barely enough but ok), or saying he was more a father to his other brothers than Bruce, when he met them when he was 18 and 21 is making me uncomfortable, ngl.
Like, Bruce is a "kid" when he became Dick's guardian when he canonically was over 25 (he started being Batman at 25), and a brother to him when he raised him for 10 years (and Dick probably has not many memories from before Bruce now), but Dick is a "father" to Damian he only had as his charge for less than a year, half of which they were fighting each others??? Make it make sense???
