OLD FOLKS HOME ↪ age gap hcs
Tumblr media
the people you love & the shit they do that reminds you of the dreaded Gap (tm). characters included: leon kennedy, chris redfield, jill valentine, claire redfield, rebecca chambers no warnings to speak of. remember kids, if you're gonna date people in their 30s and 40s, you're gonna have different cultural contexts and, most likely, different senses of humor.
Leon is eight levels of irony deep. He started doing Old Guy Shit just to mess with you, and now it's all come full circle.
It turns out he actually likes watching the weather channel. He’s monitoring storms that are miles and miles away from you, pointing out the feeder bands like it’s some kind of sporting event.
He's genuinely invested in Ice Road Truckers. He asks you to TiVo it for him when he's gone. You do not have TiVo. In fact, you're pretty sure no one still has TiVo.
Or you were, until Leon once again committed to the bit and got TiVo.
Really, genuinely annoying about old movies, actors, and directors.
”What do you mean you don’t know who Robert Redford is? The Candidate? Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? C’mon. He was even in an episode of The Twilight Zone. You’ll know him when you see him.”
At least you get movie dates out of it.
Movie dates that he will pepper with trivia about the film, by the way. You don't need the commentary track. He is the commentary.
I'm so, so sorry about this. 🤪 is his favorite emoji. I know. I'm sorry.
Chris cannot fucking hear. To be honest, I think most of them have some degree of hearing loss - but Chris in particular seems to have very subjective hearing loss.
Yes, you were just having a full-fledged conversation. No, he didn’t hear you ask him to take out the trash. He didn’t forget, he just didn’t hear you. Sorry, you were standing on his right - come on, you know that’s his bad side.
Explains basic technology to you because he’s not sure if you know what it is. Then, in the same breath, crams in so many military acronyms he may as well be reciting the alphabet. Does not explain the acronyms.
Like, yeah, Chris. I know what a landline is. Dial-up internet, too. Now, what the fuck is an ORE?
Have you ever gotten ‘ok’ in response to a nude? You’re about to. Completely demoralizing, by the way.
He didn't know you wanted him to compose a poem dedicated to your beauty, okay? He tries to get better, but winds up sending shit like 'wow 👍'
Does the dad thing where he insists he's not interested in watching what's on TV and then stands with his hands on his hips in the middle of the living room, enthralled by the show.
Jill does not understand your music. She will not make an attempt to understand your music. If you see her tapping her foot to the beat, no you do not. She is not interested in expanding her musical horizons.
She only bought you tickets to that concert because she knew you would love it. She only went with you because you’re cute when you’re so into this stuff. She only bought that t-shirt because it would be a good souvenir, and eventually, a good grease rag.
Generalized distrust of social media. Do not show her a tiktok. She will ignore the video and lecture you about data safety. Jill, please. Just watch the fucking cat video.
And then she turns around and opts in to literally everything on the McDonald's app.
If there’s a rewards program, she’s in. Already sold. Didn’t even read the fine print. All that shit she was telling you about how you need to be more careful is right out the window for some free fries.
Anything for the thrill of a good deal. If she had more time on her hands, she would be couponing.
Buys in bulk. No, it doesn't matter if the two of you could not physically eat that much rice. It's cheaper to buy it like this. It's fine. It's good for you.
Gotta stock up on non-perishables, too. You gotta be prepared in case something happens. "Better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it."
Claire cannot stop shopping from QVC. She's in the kitchen with David. It Takes Two with Mary and Sandra? Wrong. It actually takes three. Mary, Sandra, and Claire.
Infomercials have got her by the throat. You have so many gadgets and gizmos around your home that are just collecting dust.
Gets wine drunk and goes online shopping. Legitimately does not remember what she’s bought.
Absolutely will not let you open the packages. (“Some of this stuff could be for you, you know.” “Claire, last time it was a 10,000 count package of googly eyes.” “And I used all 10,000. You still haven’t found them all.”)
Uses every piece of technology until it’s about to fall apart. Absolutely not interested in having the latest and greatest. She’s one of those people who insists that as long as her phone can make calls and send texts, she doesn’t need a new one.
Speaking of texts. Somehow, she got it into her head that a read receipt is equivalent to a reply. She doesn't get what the problem is. You know she saw your text. Why does she have to reply?
Genuinely doesn't mean anything malicious by it - but also, if you did that to her, you would never hear the end of it.
Rebecca legitimately has facebook humor. They all have some degree of facebook humor, but she's got it the worst.
Will blow up your notifications tagging you in shit that is just straight up not funny. I’m talking full on tagging you with “😂😂😂”
Unironically sent you a minion meme once.
It's not that she's disconnected. She teaches undergrads. She knows what’s in, even if it’s only from the periphery. It’s just that she doesn’t care. She has no interest in keeping up with trends just for the sake of it. She’s so used to being the youngest person in the room and having to keep up expectations that she just absolutely does not care anymore. She's glad she's not one of the kids anymore.
If it made her laugh it made her laugh, her enjoyment isn’t shackled by feelings of shame!!
If you have a group chat on any platform with your friends please invite her. She's just happy to be included. She'll make a discord if she has to, and she'll brag about it to her students.
Yeah, she says pupper and doggo. She does. Look at her.

Millions are dying—Mass infections are happening across the globe swamping the streets with an unbeknownst fear. The symptoms of this virus are faint, indecipherable next to an x-ray of a man who is perfectly healthy. Not even the carrier themselves are aware of how the virus lies underneath their veins, dormant, until a click of button is pressed from a commander far away, then their symptoms worsen: a headache, a cold, veins turning purple as the poison hatches in them, spreading, until the only thing that can manoeuvre their limbs is the word: KILL.
That’s the greatest strength of this virus. Anyone can be infected, and maybe, you already are.
This product first reached the underground market three months ago. Called the A-Virus; a bioweapon succeeded in the market for its ability to infect targeted communities remotely and leaving no evidence on the perpetrator, which no other distributors had successfully produced before.
Engineered by Glenn Arias, the researcher sold over thousands of this bioweapon, becoming a billionaire overnight at the cost of lives lost from the whims of the rich. He supplied the wealthy and corrupted, like insatiable brats, with new remote-controlled monster trucks, who only aims to tear down families and have their victims beg mercy to a monster that will not speak reason.
Hence, this problem brought attention to a global scale, having the DSO come in alliance with the BSAA and other independent mercenaries to hunt down the vaccine and put a stop to Arias’ grand schemes. Handpicking five agents who are equipped with both experience and skill to combat a zombie attack on this scale of doom and urgency.
Those five agents are Jill Valentine, Carlos Oliveira, Leon S. Kennedy, Ada Wong, and you.
A plan is already in place. A distraction concocted with your intel and the help of a senior researcher of all things bioweapons, Rebecca Chambers. While Arias is busy attending fake business meetings on the other side of the world, the five of you will infiltrate his private mansion to retrieve a concentrated sample of the A-Virus. Rebecca can use the sample to reverse engineer it into a cure and send her findings to facilities across the world.
The plan sounds brilliant in writing, but when you arrived his private mansion in Queretaro region, Mexico, something is off about this place.
Arias is a mastermind, you had been warned many times, in which you appropriately prepared all your best gear for this mission to treat it with utmost gravity. You’re thinking armed guards, well-equipped security, BOWs. But when the five of you pushed open the front doors of his mansion, it was quiet.
Empty. Not a single soul. Just five of you greeted by the whisk of wind through weakly hinged windows that somehow makes the humid air stick to your skin further. Did Rebecca get the wrong info? No one lived there. From what you heard when you were in town, not even the locals dare to venture anywhere near the odd gothic mansion on the top of the hill. They said it’s abandoned, cursed, rumoured to whisk away young children if they ever step foot inside.
It’s a story they say to stop the naughty kids, you remind yourself. It’s not haunted. And you’re not a kid anymore.
The inside is abandoned. Cobwebs lay thick between cornices and carved columns, the floors laced with a film of dust on the luxurious dark wood flooring, creaking with worn age as you take each step. Besides the chandelier, every single piece of furniture is either the same colour of black or red, or nothing else. The soft red velvet upholstery and the rug are made with the same fabric. And you can find the same dark wood in every corner of this house. It’s in the tables, the shelves, the chaise, the painting frames, and stone-like head sculpture whittled with the same exact dark wood, ridged the exact uniform way.
Then, you look at the wall. Black patches of mould smearing across the burgundy wallpaper like a crime scene.
Something creaks behind you. The hair on your arms stands up as you shiver, immediately followed by a wave of embarrassment. Despite the number of times you had taken down hordes of incoming zombies like they’re cardboard targets, why is a bit of wind freaking you out? It’s not a ghost, just old foundations, maybe mice, or wind kicking something off a table, like how every old house sounds like. You look around to see if anyone else catches you jumping at nothing, before Jill says, thankfully unaware of your worry:
“God, the smell. What have they done to this place?” Her hand flies over her nose as if that will help to shield any smell whatsoever. Unfortunately, the building is moulded far beyond salvageable that the stench lingers in every part of the mansion.
“I’m sure it’s not that bad. We get weeks-old corpses in body bags every day. It’s absolutely retching.” Jill’s earpiece fizzes into life, and she recognises the familiar playful lilt of Rebecca’s voice on the other side of the line.
“At least that’s refrigerated and contained, Rebecca. This fucking stinks.” Jill scrunches her face like she just ate something unpleasant.
“I’m sending my sympathies from my well-conditioned lab right now.”
Carlos appears from Jill’s behind, placing a firm, teasing hand on top of Jill’s shoulder. His wavy curls catch in the wind and his teeth glistens sparkly white. “Yeah Jill, got a problem with my natural musk?”
Jill shrugs his hand off, grimacing at his attempts at flirtation. “Take a shower first, then we’ll talk.”
In which Carlos laughs, holds his hand out at his heart as if it was just torn into shreds. “That hurts my feelings, Jill. Why aren’t you ever saying things like that to pretty boy over there?”
“I have a name, Oliveira.” The blond man turns around at the call of his nickname, familiar with the nickname, but it's not pleasantly received by him.
“I think pretty boy suits you more, Kennedy.” Carlos replies, a glint in his voice that hints something a bit less than friendliness between them.
“Ah, so you do know my name.” Leon quips back while staring directly into Carlos’ eyes, before getting cut off by Jill.
“I would, Carlos, but if I have to hear one more corny ass comeback from Leon’s mouth, I’ll throw myself out the window right now.”
“Takes a genius to get my humour.” Leon smirks.
Your eyebrows raise almost immediately to chime in. “Erm… I think we have different meanings for the word ‘genius’.”
Quiet chuckles ripple through the room. It helps that you have worked with these guys throughout the years and had come to know and get close to them—some a bit closer than just friends—but none of them are strangers by far. Usually, you would be working with only one or two of these guys, never in a big group like this, but it seems that everyone is already well-acquainted with each other.
You toss a glance at Carlos and catch him staring at you, smiling. Ah, you see now. Carlos must have been trying to lighten the mood because you had been jumpy ever since you had arrived. You nod at him, a silent thank you before the five of you venture deeper into the eerie atmosphere.
The goal is to arrive at Glenn Aria’s office. According to Rebecca’s intel, Arias hid a concentrated sample in a safe last time he was here. You will need Ada to crack the safe to retrieve the sample and deliver it to Rebecca. As you traverse the corridors, it twists and turns in different directions—whoever engineered this did not enjoy unexpected guests at all. But under Rebecca’s guidance, she walks you and your team through the labyrinth with ease and precision.
But unfortunately, not ease and precision on your part. You trip over your own leg and almost fall to the floor as you round a harsh turn according to Rebecca’s instructions, and Jill catches you right on the arm before you fall.
“Easy there.” Jill pulls you up the ground, and you regain some balance. “You good? Mind your step.”
“Why did I agree to babysit?” Ada speaks, finally, for the first time in this mission. Despite how quietly she spoke under her breath, her words abruptly cut through the air, and all attention is on her and the red sweater dress that curves into her frame perfectly now.
“Oh, I bet once you get your paycheck it will be worth it. Or will you be betraying us, huh, Ada?”
Leon smirks loudly. Ada’s face goes from tired to exhausted in one second. “You just can’t let bygones be bygones, can you?”
“That’s rich coming from someone who used to work for Wesker.” Ada’s heels come to a stop, and with a slow turn, she stares deeply into Leon’s eyes that speak a million threats without needing to be utter a word. Oh, and believe me, you do not want to be messing with Ada. You learnt that the hard way.
“Woah, guys. Let’s keep this civil. No need to get heated.” Carlos rushes to stand right between them as the duo glares at each other with passionate fury and resentment.
You nod, joining Carlos’ side to stand by him. “Carlos’s right. This is not the time to pick a fight.” But it falls on the deaf ears of Leon and Ada.
“Thousands were killed. I want what’s good for the people, and I’m not sure Ada here is on the same page.” Leon continues, adding fuel to the fire.
Ada lets out a disbelieved gasp in response, before recollecting herself and replying in her usual tone of calmness: “Someone has to pay the price. I’m just the executor.”
“Regardless of our motivations, we all are on the same side here.” Carlos attempts at resolution again, putting his hands up in between them, and fails embarrassingly once more.
The air is heated with hostility; Leon and Ada’s eyes are locked in a trance, a hazy spite that reigns their composure, that looking away from each other means forfeiting. You don’t see either of them walking away first, they are both prideful people after all.
“Uh… Jill? Some help?” Carlos looks around to find Jill, who is leaning against a wall, her arms relaxing by her sides, unphased by the fire stirring right in front of the crowd.
“Not my circus, not my monkeys.” Jill is merely waiting for either one of the parties roll over.
You feel speckles of flame through the two of them, as if steam is retreating over the top of their heads, burning not just them, but also everyone else in the room. Until the boiling point hits, and it erupts all in one second. The duo walks away, off to different directions in bitter adrenaline, until you and Carlos are just looking at each other.
“I guess we’ll take five. There’s a safe room up ahead.” Carlos is speaking, but you’re the one listening.
The five of you enters the safe room in silence. It is a storage room—despite its name, it’s quite large for a normal storage room—with boxes stacked on all ends that made the room seem smaller in comparison. A ceiling light illuminates the room dimly, but it isn’t enough to shade away years of old animosity from their past.
The lively conversations you had mere minutes ago is gone now. Just silence and awkward rustling as each of you sits in your own designated corner. Carlos and Jill find themselves a seat on top of a firm box. Leon and Ada giving each other the silent treatment, standing on farthest end of the room to each other. You are simply minding your own business, gathering materials to craft a flashbang to pass the time. Doesn’t hurt to have more supplies anyway.
There is a notable division on each side, an imaginary alliance that you choose to be on neither side. Until Leon crosses the boundary line, somehow making his way to you. He picks up an empty grenade case next to you, assembling the pieces together for your project.
“Sorry you had to see that.” A little guilt tugs at Leon’s voice.
“Not at all. I get why you felt that way.” Leon nods, a look of gratitude hanging softly through a smile. His other finger seals the flashbang cap and hands it back to you. “But you need to learn to control your temper. Especially when it comes to Ada.”
Speaking of Ada, a shiver runs down your spine suddenly. The feeling of someone sending laser signs and telepathic warnings towards you. You turn around towards the direction of the aura to find Ada, her back leaning against the wall, arms crossed without engaging or acknowledging anyone in the room. She stands by herself alone, and that’s how you had always known Ada—distant and in her own mysterious world. Not really a chatter, despite the number of times she had saved you in the past.
Ada does not look at you, but you can feel her glaring down—either you or Leon—with her entire body.
“Good to see the two of you getting along at least.” Carlos holds out two plastic water bottles to you two from a supply crate he found in the room, which Jill has finished downing two of them already.
You two gesture ‘no thanks.’ Ada does not spare Carlos a glance at his direction when he offers.
“You’re welcome, I guess.” Carlos says sarcastically, before taking in a generous sip from his drink.
There’s a moment of silence. Then, a moment of dry coughs; a squeak of footsteps, a joint click from a stretching neck. Then silence once more.
“I’ve had enough.” Jill slaps her hands on her thigh before pushing herself up from her seat. “You guys gonna keep acting like kids? Grow up, this isn’t high school anymore. Take your drama outside. If we’re gonna take down Arias, we have to get along. And yes, that means moving on from shit that happened… five years ago? Five years ago and you two are still hung up? Unlike you all, I’m actually looking forward to go home and get a decent shower, hopefully soon.”
You nod in approval as Jill speaks her mind, and you are glad at least the few of you have their priorities in order. Ada flicks her head away from Jill, but her silence is telling of how much she is thinking over Jill’s words.
“Leon, can you accept this?” Jill asks.
There’s a bit of reluctance in his voice, but he agrees anyway. “Fine.”
“Ada?”
Before Ada can respond, smoke is creeping into your vision, coming in quick. It merges into your view, obscuring it, and you whiff something artificial, some kind of chemicals that is piercing to your nose and eyes. You can’t help but wince, hands groping the air in attempts to find comfort in the person closest to you—anyone for that matter—to indicate you’re safe and is indeed not under attack. Your fingers find themselves in a fistful of someone’s shirt, muscles tensing tightly underneath the fabric on their shoulder cap.
“Leon. Is that you?” You cry out.
“It’s me. Stay close and don’t let go. It’s an ambush.” Leon pulls your arm towards him, securing your safety with his hand in yours.
There is some coughing through the air, faint panic in voices underneath the hissing of gas that seems to be coming from above. You hold onto Leon a bit tighter.
Carlos calls out desperately “Where are you guys? Is everyone okay?” as he flaps his hand around the smoke to stir it away. He finds you and Leon almost immediately, and looks down to your hands, finding them clasped tight against each other. Your hand lets go of Leon flying behind your back, but Carlos already saw it.
Jill is coughing deep from the smoke. “I-I’m here!”
“It seems like we’re all here.” Ada says, composed as ever despite the circumstances.
The smoke dissipates—until most of the fog fades away, escaping through the cracks underneath the door to the other side. Leaving the five of you standing in the same storage room darting eyes around, seemingly unharmed, and even more confused.
After what feels like a while later, Jill finally breaks the silence: “Huh. What was that?”
“No enemies.” Ada unholsters the pistol from her belt, inspecting the room and the door behind the room. “Clear on this side too.”
It’s strange. If this is an ambush, why isn’t there an attack?
Leon places a finger on his earpiece to activate his microphone. “Rebecca, come in. We’ve just been ambushed by some kind of smoke, but nobody’s hurt. Happen to know what’s going on?”
His earpiece buzzes into life. “Hmm, let’s see. From the architecture plans, I see the vents are connected to a lab below. It seems abandoned, there are no signs of anyone triggering an attack on my end.”
“Whatever it is, we need to investigate.” Leon’s voice is firm and serious. “I’ve got a bad feeling about this.”
You swallow deeply, fear settling back inside you. “You think it’s a trap?”
“I think…” Leon pinches his chin. “…Arias knows that we’re here.”
Your heart drops—Bundle of fear, anxiety and stress springing back into your nerves as you probe at the possibility of Glen Arias knowing where you are. What you’re trying to do. Making sure you will never reach that sample despite your hardest wills.
“He shouldn’t. Rebecca, didn’t Arias get on the jet?” Carlos is also thinking too.
“Affirmative. Security footage showed Arias walking into his private jet, and it took off four hours ago. He should still be in the air. No signal of them making a pitstop anywhere.”
You hear black pumps clacking against the hardwood floor. “I’m getting the sample.” Says Ada, her foot is already halfway out of the door. “Follow me or not, I don’t care. I’m here for the objective, and only that.”
“And what if something happens to you?” Carlos asks, genuinely concerned.
“I’ll deal with it if it happens.” Ada waves dismissively.
“Ada’s right, we could be set on a wild goose chase.” Jill chimes in. “Millions of lives are dying. We don’t have time to waste.”
“I guess it’s just you and me then, pretty boy.” Carlos rounds his arm around Leon’s neck, bringing him closer in an almost choking grip, a little too close and tight to his liking. And with Leon’s history with Carlos, Leon refuses to believe this is just a friendly gesture.
Leon grimaces, removing Carlos’ hand over him. “So that’s it? We’re splitting up?” The answer is unanimous. “Fine. I guess we’ll cover more ground if we split up.”
Rebecca, through the other side of your earpiece, speaks: “Be careful everyone. You don’t know what kind of schemes Glenn Arias had set up. Please stay safe.”
“We’ll be fine, as long as we don't have any traitors in our team.” Leon says the word ‘traitor’ while maintaining eye contact with Ada. She ignores him, simply deadpans.
“Well, what about you?” Leon nudges at your arm.
You are faced with two options. Indulge in your curiosity and find the source of the gas, or stick to mission as planned? Both options will be dangerous. So who will you trust with your life?
[OPTION A] “I’ll follow the girls.”
[OPTION B] “I’ll follow the boys.”

Mommy and Daddy Bear
Tumblr media
"Chris! Claire!" Leon calls out to his friends. They are locked inside two Alcatraz jail cells. The Redfield siblings are pale, gritting their teeth from whatever is hurting them. The DSO agent tries to force the cells open, but they are locked shut.
"Look behind you, Leon." Claires points. Her arm is shaking, but she is determined to make her friend look behind him. Following her finger, Leon spots someone else in the cell behind him. The entire room is dark, so he turns on his flashlight.
"Babe!" Leon drops his flashlight and crawls to your cell. Like the Redflields, you are gritting your teeth in pain. Your skin is pale too. Leon reaches inside the cell to cup your cheek. Through his gloves, Leon can feel your rising temperature.
"What are you doing here? What happened? Where are the kids?"
Drowsy, you try your best to answer him. "They...They're with Helena. Some woman tried to ambush us but I managed to hold her off." Your wheezing worries Leon even more. There are two times Leon has seen you in a similar state. Both were when you gave birth to his children.
"Help! Get us out of here!"
Leon turns around and in Claire's cell is Leon's target.
"Antonia Taylor...I'll deal with your ass later." Screw his mission. His wife is more important than bringing in some rouge scientist. He needs to get his wife home to their kids.
Leon rubs your warm cheek as an act of comfort. "I'm gonna get you out of here, sweetheart. Don't worry."
Suddenly, the lights flicker on. Jill and Leon pull out their guns and point them in opposite directions. The man in charge, Dylan Blake, introduces himself and his insane plan to the entire group. One of his bio-drones stings Leon in the back of his neck, weakening the man. From your line of view, you see the same woman who tried to take your children jump down from the floor above.
"You bitch." You groan out. You wish you had your gun on you so you could shoot the woman between her eyes. The woman disarms your weakened husband and kicks him to your cell. Reaching your hand out, you squeeze Leon's shoulder.
"I get it now. The attack. The virus. You got them from Arias. That's why she's here." Leon wheezes out. The virus is coursing through his veins, slowly shutting his body down.
"Leon," You exhale. "That's her. That the bitch that tried to take the kids."
Dylan's voice echoes the large, empty room. "You killed poor Maria's father. It was only fair for her to take away your family, Leon. Unfortunately, we underestimated your wife's condition. Even at three months post-partum, she was able to put up a fight. Left a bruise or two on Maria. I've got to say my friend, you have yourself quite a catch."
"Screw you, you bastard!"
"My kids and wife are innocent! You had no right to go after them!"
Dylan goes on a tangent about how everything the BOW fighters have fought for was a lie. They are nothing but pawns for powerful people to use. Dylan nit-picks at each of them, even you.
"And poor Mrs. Kennedy...I feel bad for you the most. You married a man who is tied down to his endless, grueling job. He even got your family mixed into his mess. What kind of a man does that to his family?"
You defend your husband through your gritted teeth. "Leon didn't do shit to our family. You're the one who endangered our family, asshole! My husband does everything he can to protect us so kindly fuck off!"
Leon has always questioned his ability to protect his family. He is constantly gone throughout the year and for an unknown amount of time. Your husband tries his best to be there for his kids and for you, but work gets in the way. He even worries about being present in their early lives. Leon does not want to miss out on their important firsts. He never wants to end up as the dad who misses out on his kids' school events, games, and recitals. Dylan is good at hitting a man in his Achilles heel.
Maria grabs onto Jill's hand, making her drop her gun from the pressure she applies. To protect their only chance at survival, Leon pulls out a flash grenade and tosses it in the middle of the hallway. When the flash clears, Maria steps onto Leon's chest. The more pressure she uses, the more her heeled boots dig into his skin.
"Leave them, Maria. They're all about to turn anyway."
Reluctantly, the woman obeys. She haughtily looks down at you who is glaring at her. Cursing the woman for going after your family. Silently proclaiming your revenge.
All week and terrified, Leon does his best to distract you from the pain. "How are the kids?"
"They should be fine. Helena was with me when Maria decided to drop by. She took the kids while I stalled Maria." You grip your side in pain. "Man that bitch packs a mean kick."
"She," Leon groans. "She knew where we lived?" You nod. It astonishes you too. Everything about your family is classified thanks to DSO's protocol. Information about their agents and their families is pretty much untouchable with the exception of a few.
Being the angel she is, Rebecca shows up with her vaccines. "Thank goodness I made an extra." She tries to give Leon the vaccine first, but he rejects it. No way is he going to get better while his wife is still sick. When everyone is vaccinated, you all know the battle is almost over.
Picking up Jill's gun, you turn around to face your husband. "Let's go get that bitch."
---
The fight between you, Leon, and Maria is an exhausting one. It takes the two of you a while before your full strength is back. Something must have been injected into Maria because she is what you describe as a "super soldier". Maria is a good fighter, but she fucked with your family. She broke into your home. She tried to go after your precious kids and use them as leverage. The woman fucked with the wrong set of parents. And she put her nasty ass foot on your husband's face! So not cool!
When Leon regains his strength, he double-kicks Maria. His last kick is about to send Maria to her death, but you want to be the one to do it. You take the disheveled Maria and shove her from behind with your foot while bending her body down to a certain level of height. The metal rod sticking out, pierces through Maria's head, killing her instantly. You and Leon have peace of mind knowing that the woman after your family is dead.
Leon drags you away from Maria's body and brings you into his chest. Your hug only lasts a couple of seconds because the control room starts to shake.
"We are so going on vacation after this." You say.
Leon laughs and nods his head in agreement. You guys are definitely booking a trip when you get home. He hopes that Eri will not remember whatever happened in your home. Levi is only a few months old but his sister is two. Leon does not want Maria to be one of Eri's earliest memories. Leon can only hope that your maternal instincts protected Eri from early childhood trauma.
---
The fight on Alcatraz Island is over. The six of you sit outside as you wait for backup to arrive.
"Well...I know what I'm taking away from this."
"What's that?" Rebecca asks.
"Prison tours suck." Leon's dorky remark makes everyone laugh. You lightly shove him to the side before he swings his arm around your shoulder. "So, where we goin' for vacation, love?"
"You were serious about that?" Chris asks. Leon announced that he and his family were going on vacation after this mission, but the BSAA operative thought Leon just said that in the heat of the moment.
You hum. "France? I've always wanted to see the Palace of Versailles and I'm sure Eri would love to go to the Disneyland there."
Claire raises her hand like a kid. "OOO! I wanna go too!" As much as she travels because of one thing or another, it is never where she wants to go and do what she wants to do (besides survive of course).
"France sounds good. Jill? Rebecca?"
Jill shrugs her shoulders and Rebecca says that she could use a vacation after this week.
"Wait a damn minute, It's a family vacation. Kennedy only." You slap your husband's arm for being rude to your friends.
"C'mon babe, these guys are practically family. Besides, free babysitters."
Hearing "free babysitters" immediately changes Leon's mind. He loves his children, but having the chance to have their mother to himself is just too good to pass up. Eri is an easy kid to watch, she just needs to work on her potty-training skills. Levi is formula fed so he does not need to be on your boobs every two or three hours. This means that mommy and daddy can have some uninterrupted "mommy and daddy" time.
"Alright, fine but you guys are paying for yourselves."

A Scene that haunts him forever...
~ He comes home not expecting the place full of blood... You and your child's blood...
(I'm so so sorry for making this :,) )
Characters ~ : Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, Albert Wesker, Jack Krauser ( Literally dads)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
No… No! This can't be happening! He dropped his bag and stood there. The living room was almost painted with blood. He felt a cold shiver run down his spine as he saw you lying motionless on the floor. A knife was planted in your stomach, and… Oh god, his child… He fell to his knees and let out a scream of anguish. Tears were streaming down his face. “NO! NO! FUCK NO!” He yelled with agony; he couldn't look at the scene. His heart was pounding and his hands were shaking. He looked at you. Your eyes were closed while holding yours and his baby lifeless; he wanted to scream, hurt himself, and get revenge on whoever did this to his family. He felt like his world had collapsed, and he was unable to comprehend how someone could be so cruel. The pain and anger inside him were overwhelming, and he knew that he would never be the same again. He tried to get up and walk towards you. “Y/n… D/n… Please no…” He reached his hands to your cold cheek, His voice was weak and trembling. “I love the both of you… I promise I'll kill whoever did this,” he said…
Tumblr media
“I.. I'm sorry, captain..."
“Piers… Please tell me I'm dreaming." Chris voice was shaky "I wish I could, Captain... But what we saw back there was..." Piers became silent when he saw Chris crying. He was devastated by what he said, and neither Piers nor the others knew that there was no easy way to console him. Chris suddenly slammed his desk. “Who... Who did it!” he yelled, and the others behind the door were worried. “We… We don't know... There were no clues that the victim left behind.” Chris was losing his balance; he sat down on his chair with a miserable face. “C/n… Is c/n okay...? Please tell me their okay" He pleaded, He can't handle losing you and his child at the same time. Tears streamed down his face as he waited for a response. The silence on the other end of the line was deafening, making him fear the worst. “I'm… sorry…” When he heard that, he broke down. The door was opened wide, revealing Jill with teary eyes. “Chris!” She ran towards him and embraced him tightly. She could feel him trembling as she whispered, "It's okay, it's okay, shush...." Piers couldn't help but cry too. You brought so much happiness to everyone. Your memory will always be cherished.
Tumblr media
“Jake? Son, are you here?” He asked as he searched the living room. “Daddy!!” His head looked to his left, seeing his son with a teary and trembling figure running towards him. He immediately crouched down to embrace his son, asking him what was wrong. “Is everything alright? Where's mom? “S-something happened! M-mommy was screaming!” Suddenly, Wesker's eyes turned red. “Go stay at Uncle Chris; I'll handle this okay.” Jake nodded his head and went to the house next door. He stood up and walked towards the shared bedroom, not expecting this. The bed was covered in blood—your blood. He froze in shock, trying to make sense of what he was seeing. There you were, lying lifeless on the bed with a knife on your neck. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. ”Oh god… Dearest…" He walks to your side He checked for your pulse, and his heart sank as he realized that there was no pulse. He leaned down and kissed your forehead, saying, “Don't worry, my dear… I will show no mercy to whoever did this for now. Rest.”
Tumblr media
He cries in agony as he held you and his child in his arms. “Please no… No…” he begged, His voice trembled as he looked at you with tear-filled eyes, his heart breaking at the thought of losing his family. His shirt was covered by you and his child's blood but he didn't care. Who would do this? He wished that he was dreaming all of this but no, it was all real. “I'll find whoever did this… I promise… I'll kill them for the both of you” he said as he clenched his fists, feeling the anger boiling inside him.

DI!Leon Kennedy x (Fem)Reader
Summary: You sit in the hospital and contemplate the aftermath of yours and Leons near death experience. All while waiting on him...
Words: 3.2k
Content Warning: Talks of injury, Leons in a coma, crying, this part actually made me sad..., cliffhanger (: (yes I'll make more if this does well!)
[Previous Part] | [Next Part]
Tumblr media
It's been hours.
Hours since you were put in this hospital room in Miami.
Hours since, you were carried off screaming and flailing by a fellow agent.
Hours since you last saw him "alive".
You've asked different hospital staff at least 20 times for updates. Hearing the same things over and over again.
'He's in critical condition.'
'He suffered severe blood loss and a possible brain injury so comas are fairly common.'
'He'll need surgery once he's able to undergo anesthetic.'
Aside from whatever Rebecca came to share, you were completely in the dark...
And all you can do is lie in your hospital bed and wait.
The only company you have is your thoughts and the woman in the room that you've refused to speak to since she came in a few hours after they allowed you visitors.
"You can't stay mad at me forever."
That's the 6th time Jill's said that... But you're still going to talk. At least not to her.
She sighs heavily at your continued refusal to talk.
"So do your eyes not work either or are you just so pissed you don't want to even look at me?" Deeply inhaling through your nose, you look at her, crossing your arms.
"Oh wow, your ears work too? So full of surprises."
"Fuck. Off." You grumble, voice cracking from lack of use and your deteriorating emotional state.
There's a knock at the door, gaining both your attention. Jill stands up, walks over and opens it, Rebecca stepping into the room, glancing around quickly before her eyes land on you. She looks almost happy to be there, even during this mess of a situation.
"Hey, I just came to check in and share some news." Rebecca sounded chipper. Jill shuts the door, walking back over and pulling a seat up for her, a fold-up chair next to your bedside.
You sit up, excited and about to start asking millions of questions.
"Is it-" Rebecca puts her hand up, stopping you from talking. You sit back in bed, trying not to jump down her throat about anything.
"Yes." Rebecca starts as she sits down. "He's stable enough for surgery. The doctor told Chris that it looked like part of his large intestines was clipped. He'll need a hell of a lot of stitches but he'll be okay. And he's incredibly lucky it wasn't anything vital." You sigh, feeling your body relax finally after hours of being tense.
"Thank God..." Jill rubs her forehead as she starts pacing the room, finally feeling some sliver of relief.
"But..." Rebecca starts again, looking between Jill and you. "He didn't wake up before surgery... It's up to him now."
What if he doesn't wake up for a while?
What if he's stuck in the hospital for months?
What if he never wakes up?
"Hey, hey, he's gonna be okay." Jill walks over noticing your lack of response. You sniff, starting to feel the tears fighting their way out. The past few hours are the most stressful ones of your life.
Sure you've dealt with loss before. Even the loss of a coworker, but not Leon...
Leon is different. He means too much to you.
Jill pulls you into a hug as Rebecca stands to rub softly up and down your back.
"You know he's gonna pull through. He's Leon." You laugh softly into Jill's shoulder as she makes her statement, she's not wrong though.
"It would take an atomic bomb to stop that man." Rebecca adds, leaning into your other side.
"It's just... It's different this time." Jill pulls away listening to you, wiping a few of your tears away with her thumb.
"What?" She looks at Rebecca who just shrugs in response, unsure of what exactly you meant.
"Is Chris okay?" You look up at Rebecca, changing the subject because you're not quite ready to discuss what happened yet.
"He's not still woozy from the emergency transfusion is he?" You ask, looking at Rebecca. She nods.
"He's still recovering a bit. But Claire is with him in the waiting room, shoving whatever vending machine food she can find into his mouth. Like some kind of... weird... mother bird or something."
"Of course she is." Jill, chuckled, looking back at Rebecca, smiling and happy to hear some good news.
"So, what's going on with you?" Jill turns back in your direction as Rebecca asks, gesturing towards your cast.
"Leg fracture, ankle fracture and spinal fracture... I'm gonna need some physical therapy in a few weeks but I should be perfectly fine. Other than a bit of nerve damage that still needs to be accessed fully after the spinal fracture heals..." Rebecca's brows drop, frowning.
"Permanent?" Nodding slowly, you saw her face change, she looked so disappointed and guilty. "You can't go back to the D.S.O. can you? No field work at least."
"Most likely no... Where the damage is... It's gonna make my legs numb randomly. And we all know once we get a permanent injury... we're done."
"Oh God." She took your hand in hers, clutching it tight. "I'm gonna miss the hell out of working together when we did."
"It's not like she's going away forever, Rebecca. You'll still be doing desk work, right?" Jill looks optimistic for once, you stay quiet for the time being.
This could be your chance to finally get out of that cesspool of a career. Something you've thought about for years now.
"I think... I should retire." They both stare at you, mouth a gap. Out of all of you in the group, they never expected you to retire first. Especially with how much of a workaholic you were.
"That's... probably for the best." Rebecca squeezes your hand, trying to be supportive, but you can tell this choice is killing her.
"This won't hurt our friendships, right?" You look at Jill, she honestly just looks annoyed yet sad at the same time.
"Of course not."
You all know you will, in some way, hardly get to see each other, as is from everyone's busy schedule. But now you can make time for each other at least.
Hopefully.
"I think I should be getting back to Tweedledee and Tweedledum." Rebecca gives you a tight squeeze of the side looking over at Jill. "I'll be in the waiting room. If I find out anything I'll comeback."
She gives you one last rub of the back, leaving the hospital room with a quick goodbye. Once the door closes, Jill pulls the chair up next to your bed, closer, having a seat.
"Are we on speaking terms now? Or was it a truce for Rebecca's sake?"
"I'll talk." You sigh, earning a smug look from Jill.
"How is this time different?"
Of course, she asks that first. Jill's never one to beat around the bush.
What's the big deal? Just say it, she's gonna know eventually...
"I told him I love him." You say it, looking into her eyes as they blow wide.
Her jaw drops. A broken string of words came out. Unable to make a complete sentence, she shuts her mouth. Looking so lost and worried. She blinks, slumping back against the chair.
"No wonder you fought me so hard..."
Thinking back to her unlatching you from the doorway, the stairwell railing and even trying to grab a standing desk at one point. She got so annoyed with your actions when she was just trying to help.
Screaming, beating on her back weakly as she carried you all the way back to the radio room they set up where you eventually passed out due to exhaustion and woke up as the evac helicopter was landing at the hospital.
Looking back now, you feel like a child throwing a tantrum, but could you really blame yourself?
But it all made sense to her now as the guilt seeped in.
"God, if I had known-"
"Don't." She looks up at you, your eyes starting to fill with tears as you let out a broken whine, sniffling against your hospital gown collar as you wipe your eyes.
"But, I could have-"
"You did the right thing," You assert, cutting her off again. Her eyes still looking at the floor with guilt. "If he would have died on that table we both know I wouldn't have been leaving."
Jill just glances up at you, nodding and rubbing her temples.
"He said it back too."
"Oh- Oh my God." She smiles, looking almost relieved and excited. "He did? Leon Kennedy? The man known for being emotionally constipated?"
You laugh, continuing to wipe your eyes and nod with a shaky breath.
"And uhh..." You breathe out, taking a moment to gather your words. Jill leans forward, putting a hand on yours.
"Take your time."
"Thank you." You sniff again, looking back at her, the heat in your body rising as you remember the conversation again.
"He asked me if we could have had a family together. So I told him if he held on I'd give one to him. And he wanted that... With me. Me, Jill!" You smile. The tears starting to overflow again. "He wants me... I never thought he actually would."
"I know. Everyone thought one of you would die before saying something to each other." She jokes, getting you to chuckle somewhat.
"But I guess we were wrong. It was a near death."
"I don't want to lose him... I wanna give him what he wants, what we both want." Starting to cry harder, Jill gets out of the chair.
"He's gonna pull through. He has to. I'll kick his ass if he doesn't."
"What're you gonna beat up a man in a coma?" Your body jiggles as you laugh, smiling finally after what feels like an eternity.
"Maybe, maybe not."
Laying back against your pillows, you stare at the ceiling and wonder, what's going to happen in the next few days?
"I know I'm probably gonna be here for a little while," you started, lifting your head from the uncomfortable hospital pillow, "but do you think they'll let me see him?"
"Why wouldn't they?" She looks almost confused? What could stop you from seeing him?
"He's in a private room. Which means only people on his contact list can visit... His only person is our boss."
"Hun, don't worry, I'll fix it. Okay?" Your brows wrinkle looking at her.
How the hell are you gonna fix this?
"Okay..." You can't help but feel lost but you take Jill for her word when a knock comes at the door.
"Sorry to interrupt." A nurse steps in through the door. "But it's 7:45... Visiting hours are over in 15 minutes."
Jill nods to the nurse as she walks back out, closing the door.
"Listen." Jill speaks before you can say anything at all. "I'll fix it. So don't worry your pretty little head about anything, okay?"
You take a shaky breath, nodding as she leans in hugging you tightly.
"I'll try to come see you once you're back in DC. I can't promise anything but I can try." You nod again, just not feeling the need to say anything.
"I love you, remember that."
"Love you too." You wave as Jill exits the room, leaving you alone again.
Alone...
You'll be here alone. He'll be in his room alone.
Everyone's gonna go back to work tomorrow like normal, act like nothing happened whatsoever, and I'm stuck here... He's stuck here without anyone else.
He has no blood family.
We're his family...
The D.S.O. is his "family", if he can even bother to call them that...
You lay in your bed staring at the ceiling, closing your eyes, trying to let sleep consume you and your exhausted body.
....
"Miss?" Your eyes shoot open, gasping, you jump, looking around the dimly lit hospital room. The nurse from before next to your bedside jumps as you startled her as well.
I'm so out of it, I didn't even hear her come in...
"Yes?" Your voice sounds oddly normal again, minus the grogginess.
"Mr. Kennedy is out of surgery and recovering. He should be in his room again in about 10 minutes." You claw at the rail of your bed, eyes widen in surprise.
Already!?
"Is he okay?" The nurse nodded with a kind smile.
"The surgery went well. He's gonna recover just fine." The pure bliss that fills you is nothing compared to almost anything you've felt before.
"Is he awake?" The nurse's face falls with a shake of her head.
"I'm sorry, no..."
Of course not...
"Would you like me to get you a wheelchair to go see him once he's back in his room?"
They're offering...?
"Yes, yes, I would love that. Thank you."
The nurse nods, leaving your room. You look at the ceiling, smiling and feel a little bit better than you did before. Turning your head, you look at your bedside table, seeing your phone, the familiar green light of a message blinking from the black screen.
Picking it up, you turn the screen on by swiping your code through and look at the time.
12:35am. You fell asleep.
Swiping down, you see a series of texts from Jill.
'I swear this hospital is run by jackasses.' 7:57pm
'I'm talking to someone finally.' 8:13pm
'You know I hate doing it but I'm about to wave my badge around for you.' 8:42pm
'It's fixed. You're welcome <3' 9:07pm
"Jill Valentine, you're a God damn miracle worker." You squeeze your phone in excitement as you start replying.
'I owe you my life, call me later <3' 12:37am
You sit back in bed shutting your phone off and setting it back down on the table. You feel so nervous.
The 10 minutes drag by right as a nurse comes in with a wheelchair for you. Putting the railing down, she helps you out of bed and into the chair, putting your cast-covered leg up on the footrest.
Moving backwards out of the room, the bright florescent lights of the hallway blind you, a pained hiss slipping from your lips. The nurse pushing you chuckles as she wheels you to the elevator.
"Oh, I should inform you." You look up at her as she pushes the call button with a smile.
"We're gonna be moving you upstairs next to your fiance in the morning. Just thought you should know."
Fiance... Don't question Jill's methods.
Knowing what Jill did now, you just nod going along with it.
"Thank you, that is very helpful. I don't want to leave his side as much as possible..."
"Oh, understandable. You must be going through so much with him right now. I can only imagine."
You don't know half of it.
The elevator opens, you're pushed inside and the nurse pushes the floor button.
"So, how did you two meet?" The nurse asks. You look over your shoulder at her.
"Work. I was placed with him because I was experienced in our line of work. Apparently, every other person he was paired with couldn't handle him."
"And I'm guessing you could?" She chuckles, making you smile.
"Well, we've been together since November of 2013, so I'd assume yes." She laughs again.
"Who asked who out?" You froze, thinking of something quickly.
"Well, we kind of just told each other how we felt and it just happened." She nods slowly, the elevator dinging.
You're pulled back out of the elevator and start down a dim hallway. This floor looks a lot quieter and well kept.
The nurse pushes you past rooms, stopping in front of a corner room with the number 10 on it. Opening the door, she pushes you inside, seeing the curtain drawn around the bed in the room.
The nurse stops you at the bedside looking at you again.
"I'm just going to warn you. He looks like he's asleep, it's gonna be odd with everything he's hooked up to right now, but if he stays stable for a day most of it will come off."
You nod as she pulls the curtain back, revealing Leon.
Tubes... And wires. So many tubes and wires.
Your jaw drops and brows knit. His hands lay at his side and he looked like he was asleep.
You've seen what he looks like, knocked out, asleep, passed out. But this time it doesn't feel right...
Looking over him you see the bags under his eyes look lighter at least.
Feeding tube through the nose, heart monitor, IV, a ventilator and a stomach compression band across his abdomen.
He looks so vulnerable... Not at all like Leon, you know.
Taking his hand in yours, you just stare at him, letting the sight of him sink in.
At least he's alive.
"So, the ventilator should come off once the anesthetic is out of his system. It's just a precaution." The nurse comments, walking over to his bedside table, picking up a small stack of pamphlets and handing them to you.
"Thank you..." You look at them reading the titles quickly.
How to help wake up a coma patient.
My partner is in a coma.
Coma Recovery and what to expect.
"I know it's a lot right now." The nurse started, putting a hand on your shoulder. "But with his health and how well it was before hand, I'm sure he'll be up and be a pain in no time."
You smile at her, feeling thankful for such a wonderful angel of a woman at nearly 2am.
"Thank you. I appreciate it."
"Of course, I'll leave you to it. Feel free to talk to him, every little bit helps. And when you're ready to rock and roll out of here, just hit the call button and I'll come get you."
The nurse leaves with her final words, shutting the door as you turn looking at Leon.
Leaning towards him, you take a deep breath in.
"Hey Dumbass..." You stare at him, interlocking your fingers with his limp ones.
"This is the part where you're supposed to say 'Hey Shithead' back to me... Like normal, y'know?" Patting the back of his hand, you nod.
"Yeah I know, this hospital room..." You look around whistling softly as you look back at his face. "You'd be bitching about how over the top it is for a hospital room... I just know you would."
Sitting back in the wheelchair, you hold his hand tighter, leaning into it.
"You... I hope you can hear me. Cause I just..."
You look up at his face, feeling too uncomfortable. It's hard to almost look at him.
So many tubes and wires! What would he do to break the tension right now?
"Wanna hear a joke about paper?"
He doesn't respond.
"Never mind. It's tearable..."
Fighting the urge to look away, you lean closer again. Just needing to get what you need to say out.
"Look, I know I'm not mushy or soft usually but..."
You swallow your fears by gripping his hand for dear life.
"I need you."
He doesn't respond.
This starts to feel hopeless, but you remember.
At least he's still alive...

“Well. Fuck me.”
Annie sits on the white tiles of her bathroom floor, a pregnancy test in either hand. And both of them are positive, because the world can’t let this poor girl catch a break. She’d been studying her ass off for Stanford, which was rapidly approaching in about two months time, and now…
“I’m knocked up. Great.”
It’s not like she was a naïve girl — I mean, if she wasn’t intelligent, she wouldn’t have gotten herself a place at Stanford. She knew what she was getting herself into that night, but… it was one of those instances where you assume it’s never gonna happen to you. Until it does.
Annie groans, standing up, placing the two tests on the counter, looking at herself from the side in the mirror. She was about four weeks along, so it wasn’t visible. The only people who know are herself, and her dog, mostly because the goofy labrador wouldn’t leave her stomach alone. But she knows that she has to tell the other half involved in this incident — after all, it takes two to tango.
She opens her phone, and her thumb hovers over the contact for her best friend, Leon.
They were an unlikely duo, for sure. Annie was the reserved one of the duo. Quiet, elegant, slightly aloof to those who don’t know her. Leon would always tease her, telling her she was like the moon, or a black cat, because of her elegance. And he wasn’t wrong, either. While Annie was never able to see her own beauty, she really was ethereal. Cascading red hair, porcelain skin, and these eyes that ascended beyond being just blue… they were so light in colour that they were piercingly so, but there was a hidden vulnerability to them if you took in her appearance for long enough. She was the definition of “slim thick”, a real knockout for sure. As her closest girl friends, Claire Redfield and Jill Valentine would always say— “how the FUCK are you single, Annie?”
It was something she’d just laugh off.
Leon Kennedy, her best friend, was the total opposite, however. He was the extrovert, the excitable golden retriever puppy, the sun. If the boy had a tail, it’d be wagging a mile a minute. He was popular amongst the senior cohort for being the star quarterback, yet he was as down to earth as he was the day he enrolled as a freshman. He was always smiling, always joking, but was always very respectful of everyone he interacted with. He didn’t care for arbitrary things like popularity or body counts— he was a respectable guy, and treated everyone with the respect they deserved, no matter the cliques they ran in. He was a dirty blonde, toned, slightly muscular, but slender in frame. His blue eyes were a lot deeper, and if you were Annie… they were a lot softer, but only for her. His guy friends, Chris Redfield and Carlos Oliveira, had no idea how he didn’t have a girlfriend, either.
Annie swallows back her pride, and dials Leon’s number, tapping her thumb against her other hand in beat to the dial tone.
“Moon-cat… it’s three in the damn morning… is it your cramps acting up again? Want me to sneak out and cuddle you?”
Annie chuckles softly into her cell, wishing it was just cramps.
“Something like that, yeah. It’s fine if you can’t sneak out, I don’t your mom ripping you a new one like last time…”
There’s a genuine, happy laugh from the other line.
“Don’t be silly. Gimme fifteen and I’ll shimmy up your dad’s wisteria climber like I did in junior year. Wait for me to knock on your window, m’kay? Love you!”
Annie chuckles softly as Leon hangs up, walking out of her en-suite bathroom, and into her bedroom again. Given the time of night, she’s still in her pyjamas, which are a cropped black tank top, wine red cycling shorts, and black fuzzy slippers. She waits by the window, smiling at the memory of junior year — her periods were particularly bad that year, and it made her a very crappy, very emotional mess. So, Leon would set it so that his phone would only make notifications from her audible on a night, and whenever she’d call in tears, there he’d be, shimmying his way up that damned climbing plant that trailed up to her window, with tampons and chocolate. And then, they’d lay there, spooning for hours, until dawn rose, and Leon would dash back to his house before his parents realised where he was in the next morning. He’d be exhausted, but it made him so happy knowing that she was being cared for, by him, and that she wasn’t alone at her worst.
The lines of their friendship had always been blurred, which is why Annie was now carrying his child.
It was about a month ago, and it was one of the last games of American Football of the season before state championships. Annie knew jackshit about sports outside of Formula One, but she always came with their little friend group, to cheer as loud as humanly possible for him. Their friend group was herself, Leon, Jill Valentine, Carlos Oliveira, and Chris and Claire Redfield.
She remembers the night so vividly…
Annie returns from the concession stand, with a cherry slushie. It’s staining her lips red, which makes the others giggle. She’s in her favourite outfit, that she always wears to the games— little black dress, long, black, heeled thigh high boots, and a black and baby pink racing-style jacket. She’s tied her long, red hair back, but she’s left her bangs loose at the front, so that they frame her face. Her lips have a little red tint to them — a mixture of the slushie, and her red lip tint, and her black eyeliner is done with near surgical precision. She takes her seat in between Jill and Claire, and she sees Leon doing some last stretches on the pitch, before the game. He sees Annie, and sticks his tongue out at her childishly — it was a pre-game tradition for them both. She sticks her tongue back out at him, and she immediately sees Leon crack up upon seeing her slushie-stained tongue.
He plays flawlessly, as always. But there’s something about him tonight that makes him seem prettier than usual — maybe it’s the way the floodlights are illuminating his face, maybe it’s the sheen of sweat covering his body, or maybe it’s that damned goofy smile he cracks at her with each touch-down he scores. The friend group are cheering and chanting his name, but Annie is the loudest. She always has been.
The game ends, and naturally, with Leon on the field, it’s a landslide victory, The friend group walk onto the pitch after the game, praising Leon on the win that he made happen. But he always hugs Annie first and tousles her hair, before he reacts to any of the praise.
Chris is grinning.
“Well, folks. Whose turn is it to treat Leon to his celebratory milkshake this time?
Leon chuckles, but waves his hand.
“You guys go on without me. I need to do some cooldown stretches before I go anywhere. I won’t be able to walk in the morning if I don’t.”
“Damn, Leon! That sounds like what I feel like after I’ve gone out hooking up for the night in my car. But it’s way more fun for me, because I get the chicks, and you all you get is to throw a pigskin around.” Chris laughs. “We’ll see you at the diner, yeah? Don’t be late or the free milkshake offer will expire.
Leon just rolls his eyes playfully.
“Yeah, yeah. See you guys in a little while.”
The others head to the diner, but Annie hangs back, smiling at Leon. They look back, expecting her to come with, but Carlos just shakes his head and laughs.
“Leave those two to it. They’re looking at each other with those damned eyes they give each other again. ‘Just best friends”, my ass.”
The others laugh, partially in amusement, partially in agreement, and they head to leave the pitch,
Annie walks up to him, wrapping her arms around him slowly.
“You were incredible out there, really. That thing you did where you threw the ball on the ground? Incredible. Sent everyone fucking bananas.”
Leon laughs softly, wrapping his arms around her waist.
“Ever considered the whole sports commentary thing after graduation next month instead of Stanford? You really do have a way with words that makes American Football sound riveting.” He rolls his eyes playfully, nudging her. “C’mon, let’s go sit on the bleachers for a while. I just wanna relax for a bit, because you know the moment we step foot in that damned diner, Chris and Carlos are gonna be ribbing each other over something stupid.”
Annie laughs softly, and Leon takes her hand, and they sit in the very top corner of the bleachers. Everyone has gone now, and the stars are out, illuminating the two souls, whose connection goes beyond just the platonic— but they’re currently none the wiser.
She rests her head on Leon’s shoulder instinctively, as they look up at the stars together. They see one shoot by, and Annie gasps happily.
“Shooting star! You gotta make a wish, Leon.”
Leon laughs softly, breaking his gaze from the stars, to look at Annie’s face.
“C’mon, you seriously don’t believe in all that, right?”
Annie pouts, nudging him playfully.
“I still made a wish,” she grumbles softly.
Leon puts of an act of mock defeat, holding his heart dramatically, as if he’s just been wounded.
“And you didn’t tell me? C’mon, An—ni—iiie! Tell me!” He laughs, shaking her by the shoulders, which makes Annie giggle.
“I can’t tell you. You’ll take the piss out of me.”
“I’m your best friend,” Leon chuckles. “Taking the piss out of you is basically my full-time occupation.”
Annie glares playfully, and Leon notices a slight hint of blush creep across her cheeks.
“F-fine. My wish is… that I’m not gonna graduate as a virgin. I’m one of the only people, to my knowledge, who is still a virgin in the senior cohort. There’s six weeks till graduation, and I’d feel like a total loser if I graduated as a virgin.”
Leon laughs aloud into the stars, but then his expression softens when he realises that Annie really means it.
“Annie… it’s just a dumb teen rite of passage. You don’t gotta do it if you don’t wanna.”
“I know, I know. But after graduation, I have two months, before I end up at Stanford. And I guess… I want my first time to be special, rather than with a college frat boy who sees me as just another notch on his bedpost, you know?’
Leon’s face softens, and he takes his hand in hers, and their gazes both return back to the stars.
“You know I’m still a virgin too, right, Annie?” Leon chuckles softly.
“Bullshit. There’s no way you haven’t lost yours.”
“I’m being serious.”
They both go quiet again, Leon running his calloused thumb over the soft skin of her hand. The stars are flashing, twinkling, and Leon places a gentle kiss on the top of her head.
“Are you really serious about losing your virginity before graduation, Annie? Is this something you really want?”
Annie nods, sighing softly as she keeps her gaze on the stars.
“In that case… let me pitch what might be the most bizarre offer in the history of our friendship, ever,” Leon chuckles, still rubbing her thumb over her dainty little hand. “If you’re dead set on wanting to have your first time, then… let it be with me, your best friend. Let’s give each other our virginities, right here, right now.”
“Wait, for real?”
“Only if you wanna, of course. The bleachers are empty, so… why not?”
Leon stands up, sliding off his varsity jacket. He lays it out on the bleacher table, smiling.
“It’s not the most ideal, I know. But I think having our first times under the stars would be way prettier than doing it in the back of that damn car you never clean,” he teases “so… what do you say?”
Annie stands up now, wrapping herself around Leon, looking up at him with those intensely blue eyes.
“Thank you, Leon. There’s… no one else I’d want to do this with.”
He smiles, and his lips graze against hers softly, his hand coming up to wrap itself against her cascading, red mane. There’s a tenderness, and a hidden longing oozing from the both of them, Annie craning her neck slightly to meet his mouth. Her own hands snake up the back of his neck, and she seems to pull him in closer, desperate for time to just freeze, and for the two of them to be stuck in this moment forever. Annie’s tongue softly meets his lower lip, a sensation that makes Leon shudder in arousal.
“Annie, f-fucking hell…” Leon groans, immediately feeling all the blood rush between his thighs. He’s kissing back with longing, pining, and Annie is moaning softly against his lips.
His free hand travels lower, caressing her ass softly, worshipping her curves with his hand.
“You’re beautiful, Annie,” Leon breathes, pulling away from her softly with a smile. “To do this for you, it’s… well, let’s just say I’m feeling like I’m a damn lucky guy.”
Annie giggles softly, as she presses her forehead to his, her breath hot and sweet. “You’re pretty too, Leon. Pretty damn silly.”
Leon laughs softly, grazing his lips against hers, groaning at the touch. He’s already pitching a tent, and Annie feels herself throbbing from such a simple, yet intimate touch. He scoops her up into those athletic arms of his, and lays her on the varsity jacket he’d laid out on the bleacher bench earlier. He smiles softly at her, as he climbs on top of the bench, over her, caressing her face with his calloused fingertips.
“I-I’m already hard, Annie, I-I won’t lie. I might not last very long…” Leon gives her that signature lopsided smile, and Annie just giggles softly.
“I don’t care about that, Leon. Having you do this for me… well, I can’t thank you enough.”
Leon presses his lips to hers, pining for her touch, and they moan against the other’s lips, as they graze their tongues against one another in such an intimate state.
“Th-the pleasure’s all mine, Annie…”
Leon’s hands snake up her dress, and he looks for Annie to give him the go ahead to slide down her panties, and she nods. They’re black silk, which makes Leon smile softly, and he turns to Annie.
“Good choice in panties.” He chuckles, bringing them down around her ankles.
“Only the best for me.” Annie rolls her eyes playfully, which makes Leon laugh softly, looking at his best friend with an admiration and affection that’s bubbling over the boundaries of platonic.
Leon’s fingers find their way between her thighs, and to her pussy. His thumb finds her clit with ease, and he massages the little bud, while his index and middle fingers trace softly around the outside of her wetness. Annie lets out a happy little purr, arching her back at the touch. The sound she lets out simultaneously makes Leon so happy to see his best friend having a good time, but also makes him even more horny, if that’s even possible. He can’t help but kiss her thighs softly and messily, and Annie lets out a sound that’s half giggle, half moan.
“I’ve always told you this…,” he murmurs from in between her thighs, “but you’ve always had the prettiest voice. You know that, right?”
The sweet smell of her pussy is making him whimper, and he can’t help but lap softly at it, which makes Annie whimper in turn. This is Annie’s experience, he thought to himself, and he just wants to worship every bit of her body, like it deserves. Annie reaches her hand down to stroke his hair as he laps softly at her, her eyelashes fluttering at the sensation. Her happy little moans are like cocaine to him, and he can’t help but smile and whimper with each contented noise she makes.
He gets up from his position now, and leans over the top of her again, running his fingers over her fading self-harm scars from sophomore year, smiling at her with such an intense admiration for her body. Annie can feel the heat rising inside her, and she lets out a little breathy “I’m ready, Leon.”, smiling at him softly. Leon bites his lip a little, sliding down the trousers of his football uniform, his belt making a slight clinking sound. He shakes them from his ankles clumsily, which makes Annie giggle, and him smile. As he pulls down his boxers, Leon notices he’s already been dribbling pre-cum, just from the feel of her lips and the taste of her wetness alone.
Annie giggles softly, as she watches him toss his boxers aside with the trousers of his football uniform.
“Man, I must taste good for you to react like that.”
Leon chuckles, as he climbs back on top of her.
“You were always somehow even prettier when you were more self-confident, Annie.”
He takes one of Annie’s little hands in his larger ones, their fingers interlocking, while the other holds her waist.
“If it feels like too much, promise me you’ll say something. This is your experience, moon-cat.”
“I promise, sun-puppy.”
Leon slides into her, and for a split second, their visions blur, at the sheer sensation of their bodies becoming one. If there was an ultimate nirvana, it was this. Two best friends, who didn’t even realise that in a matter of months, their feelings would stretch beyond the platonic entirely. They both moan at the same time, and then smile at each other, laughing breathlessly. Annie’s hand tightens its grip around Leon’s, as his thrusts start softly and gently in intensity. He’s so needy, so hard, that Annie is almost certain that she can feel him throughout her whole body. She smiles at him, smiling breathlessly, mouth slightly agape, as if to say, ‘keep going’. As they share one another under the stars, all that Leon is thinking about is Annie. And all Annie is thinking about is Leon. She’s quivering pleasurably underneath him, as she wraps her legs around Leon’s toned back, which makes Leon smile softly, kissing the corner of her mouth. Annie uses her free hand to play with his hair, smiling breathlessly at him. It was if they were high, or drunk, on one another. The other’s touch, the other’s pheromones, the other’s presence. It’s as if they can both feel a molten heat rising in their cores, as Leon keeps his gentle pace, but it’s clear they’re both ready for their releases.
“Leon…”
Leon takes his free hand, caressing her cheek.
“Annie.”
She’s tightening and convulsing around him, as if her body is trying to pull him in closer, deeper. It’s so heavenly that they’re both losing their damn minds — their senses totally clouded by the presence of the other. Leon moans her name softly, groaning as he kisses the corner of her mouth, his cock twitching, flooding her needy pussy with his hot cum. Annie’s eyes roll back. and she pulls Leon closer with her free hand and her legs, and she tightens around him as she reaches her own climax. She’s left a very sweet flood of arousal at the base of his softening cock, as the both of them lay there, spent, panting, but grinning. Annie wasn’t on birth control, and Leon didn’t have a condom to hand, but the feeling of the sex— no, the love-making between them, had completely clouded their judgment. As Leon pulled out, the two of them started laughing breathlessly, and he kissed her forehead tenderly…
As Annie is reminiscing from that night a month ago, she hears a gentle tap at the window. It’s Leon, her “sun-puppy”, having shimmied up the wisteria plant with his iconic lopsided grin, waiting to be let in.
“Hey, moon-cat! I brought chocolate. What’s up, anyway?”
Annie gulps softly as he very clumsily rolls through her window, and takes a deep breath.
This is gonna be one helluva conversation.

Jill: What happens when you put fire and alcohol together? Explosion.
Leon, drunk as fuck: So what I am hearing, is that if you tie Chris and I together and throw us in a field, you got yourself a homemade molotov.
Chris, lighting up his cigarette:... *stop instantly*...
Leon: if we kiss do we explode? Are we, like... Mentos and Coca? Can I be mint flavoured?
Jill:... Leon--
Claire: No, wait. I am actually curious about it, too.

Prison Break- Part 7 (Leon Kennedy x Reader Series)
Tumblr media
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6,
CW: Slight Body Horror, Death, Suicide, Death Island Spoilers (obv)
WC: 5718 (oooo baby)
Summary: You and Rebecca Chambers reunite with the rest of the group to end this thing once and for all.
A/N: This is the end of the Death Island content. I have a few more chapters in mind to end this fic so buckle up :^). also the final battle might be a shit show and chaotic to read, but I literally sat down and wrote it as I rewatched it, so it's pretty much 1:1. Sorry if its a jumbled mess I tried my best.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* : 。゚☆. ───
The hallways were cold and isolating, a memory of the past creeping up to you as you and Rebecca ran down the hallway. Blue fluorescent lights blinked above the two of you and the concrete flooring did nothing but echo footsteps as the two of you proceeded deeper into the jail.
According to Rebecca, you and her were going to meet up with Chris, Claire, and hopefully Jill. Leon was off on his own, doing God knows what. You had an inkling that he went after Maria, and you were wise enough to stay out of that fight.
When Leon went off on his own for a fight, he meant business; punches weren’t held when it was a one-on-one fight. Maria signed a death waiver the second she ran off and had Leon trailing her.
Seeing as though Dr. Antonio Taylor was dead, the two of you needed a win on this mission. You were filled in on everything that happened while you were out of it, Taylor died while Claire tried to keep him from bleeding out. He was helpful enough to give her a thumb stick with something on it.
You hoped that the six of you would be lucky and it was a vaccine or something along those lines. But you were seldom lucky in this job.
“So, you and Leon,” Rebecca trailed off.
“Is running with me through an abandoned prison that boring?” You asked and chuckled.
“Kinda,” Rebecca replied with a giggle.
“Don’t worry, you didn’t miss anything. It’s new. As in, tonight new I guess,” You replied as the two of you made your way through another hallway. “For a prison, this place is a fucking workout to get through, Jesus Christ.”
“We should be almost there. We’re headed to the shipment dock,” Rebecca said, sending you a soft smile and a thumbs up.
The woman always knew how to make a room lighter with her smile and you missed that about her. Over the past year, the two of you had connected a bit, but not as much as her, Chris, and Leon. You didn’t want to intrude on their time together as friends, so you always made up an excuse to not go when you were invited.
It wasn’t that you never wanted to go, it was genuinely because you thought you would be an intrusion on a private party.
Their whole friend group intrigued you. Chris always seemed like a meat head to you, a meat head that knew his shit. He was always on and after being around Leon and going through a few missions, you knew why. It was hard to feel like you could relax in this job field.
Claire seemed like someone that you would be friends with in elementary school, then stick together forever. She always amazed you with how she wasn’t afraid to get straight to the point no matter what or who was in her way. Leon had told you that she was 19 during Raccoon City and your jaw was on the floor. You had a lot of respect for Claire Redfield and she wanted you to feel included in everything the friend group did.
Rebecca deserved so much more than she was recognized for. She’s done almost everything under the sun at the age she is. It honestly boggled your mind how her’s worked. On top of everything, she was just a sweetheart, humble and friendly.
Jill Valentine was still an enigma to you. Granted, Leon also just met her tonight so you had assumed that she wasn’t a party person. Given everything she’s gone through, you don’t blame her. You still technically hadn’t met her, being almost unconscious while she was in the same room as you. But maybe you would get to meet the enigma tonight.
All in all, their friend group was impressive and heavily relied on each other to shoulder the experiences that they had gone through. The few times you had gone to their get togethers, you appreciated how present everyone was and how warm and welcoming they were. It felt like a family.
Maybe after this mission, you would make it a point to go to more get togethers.
“So, catch me up on what’s going on. I still have no fucking clue,” You said. It feels like everything happened while you were out. If you were feeling like this, you bet the Redfields were just as lost, being infected longer than you were.
“We’re after Dylan Blake. He used Dr. Taylor’s findings to make a nanobot version of the
T-virus,” Rebecca explained.
“World ending again? Sounds like our kind of mission,” You grumbled. “We have to stop meeting like this, Rebecca,” You added, chuckling.
The soles of your boots hit the floor over and over again, echoing through the cold hallways.
“Agreed,” She replied. The two of you got to the end of the hallway and found a bolt head door. You put your muscle to use and got it open, holding it open for Rebecca as she ran through and closing it behind you.
Looking around, it seemed like a warehouse, almost like it didn’t belong in the prison. There were shipment boxes strewn around, forklifts, and other construction equipment. Your eyes darted to a catwalk where Jill and a man you hadn’t seen before, but could guess was Dylan Blake, were standing.
Jill’s gun pointed at Dylan and they were talking, their conversation inaudible from your distance. Closer to you were the Redfields trying to get up to Jill. As you and Rebecca ran to catch up, you heard a vent get kicked out and looked up to see Leon running on the catwalks.
He was running with the determination and confidence of someone that just won a battle; which you could assume he did considering Maria was nowhere to be found. His eyes locked with yours and he jumped down, scaling shipment boxes and he ran over to you.
As he got closer, you could see a black eye and a bruise forming on a very broken nose. Red tainted his lips, blood pouring from said broken nose. His hands found your forearms as his eyes locked with yours.
“Are you okay? How are you feeling?” He asked.
You scoffed a bit. “How am I feeling? You look like someone took a bat to your face. What happened?” You asked, your hands meeting his face.
As the two of you talked, you missed Dylan bringing his revolver up to his temple and pulling the trigger. His body staggered back, tripping and falling over the railing behind him and plummeting about 30 feet into the water below.
All you two heard was the splash of his body hitting the water and your head whipped to where the sound came from.
“We should…” Leon trailed off.
“Talk later,” You finished for him. He nodded and ran with you towards the rest of the group.
Jill was looking over the railing, searching for his body in case it popped back up. When she turned to talk to the group, your heart dropped. Looking between Leon and her, your brain was confused. Jill looked like her and Leon could be related, which did not help your eager heart.
You didn’t know what you were expecting from hearing the stories of Jill Valentine, but it was not the woman who was in front of you. She had a bobbed side part, brown and a little darker than Leon’s. It was easy to tell that Leon’s hair was just a matured blonde that had faded to brown, but Jill’s was more a darker ashy brown. Her eyes were blue, a softer, yet piercing blue, like Leon’s.
You would swear up and down that you didn’t have a type, but looking at Leon and Jill, you definitely did. Her whole demeanor read of a person much older than she looked; you made a mental note to ask her about her skin care regime later. She looked like she meant business and you had to remember that you were on a mission, not a meetup.
You could talk later, hopefully.
Jill’s mouth opened to say something, but the whole platform the six of you were on shook. A giant hand grabbed the railing and a monster rose from the water, giving all of you a good look at it.
It would be hard to try and describe what it was, other than a man and nature made horror beyond all belief. Leon had shared stories with you about some of the things he fought before and he had a hard time explaining some things. His stories usually ended with him saying something like “You had to be there, I don’t know how to describe it” in reference to a mutated dinosaur or alligator.
This world was fucked up and it fucked up your head some times.
Though you would’ve been lying if you said you weren’t a little jealous of him fighting a dinosaur.
Now, you knew exactly what Leon meant when he said those things because the creature in front of you was beyond any means of description. It was like if a whale sprouted legs like Kamajī from Spirited Away. It had a face almost like a doll, but also nothing like a doll because it was a melted skull.
Again, it was hard for your brain to process how to describe it.
The creatures roared, it’s ugly face opening and saliva going everywhere.
“Dylan used the virus to fuse with a bioweapon,” Jill said, her eyes never leaving the thing.
“Looks like we’re dealing with this first,” Chris huffed.
“Let’s do it,” Leon said, reloading his gun.
It wasn’t hard for your brain to process the arm sweeping the platform. Jill and Chris cleared it with a jump, Leon used the railing behind you to use as a step launch, you and Rebecca dove under the arm, and Claire being her somehow jumped and spun over it.
All of you easily cleared the arm, but scattered when it slammed down on the platform, causing the metal under your feet to crumble.
Jill and Chris got flung onto one side, Claire and Rebecca flung to another, sliding off the platform. You blacked out for a second, only to come to feeling someone’s hand around your wrist, holding you up. Your eyes looked up to see Leon holding onto a support beam from under the platform, holding the two of you dangling in the air.
Your head whipped to where the monster was and saw a crane next to it. Putting two and two together, your free arm raised up with your handgun, shooting the heavy metal hook off of the crane. It swung in the air, slamming into the monster and making it roar in pain. The metal hook got stuck in what would be the skull’s eye socket, blood spurting from the creature.
The monster whipped its head back and forth, trying to get free of the hook. Metallic creaking filled the air as the crane started to fall towards Jill and Chris on the ground.
Explosions went off on the right side of the monster and your eyes could make out Rebecca and Claire with rocket launchers on the ground.
Looking up, you could see that Leon was straining, trying to keep the two of you up.
“Drop me, I’ll land on the floor,” You said. His eyes met yours and you could tell he wasn’t mentally present. For some reason, he had the same look in his eyes when he remembered something from his past. Leon looked haunted, like he was reliving something from years ago.
“Leon, it’s okay, it’s a 10 foot drop,” You said.
His grip on your wrist tightened, his face scrunched up like he was fighting the memories from whatever he was going through.
“Hey, Leon!” You said louder, your voice snapping him out of whatever trance he was just in. He swallowed the lump in his throat and nodded, dropping you to the ground.
As the two of you were getting down from the support beam, grenades were getting launched into the creature, its side erupting in flames on the impact.
You rolled on impact, lessening the hurt to your ankles as the two of you landed. Leon stood up, helping you up and he ran his hand through his hair. Something he always did when he was stressed out a little too much without an outlet for it.
“Sorry, just…” He trailed off.
“Memories, I got it. Don’t worry about it,” You replied and patted his bicep supportingly. “We gotta keep our heads in the game though,”
Leon nodded and looked around. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw an army truck with a gas tankard on the back of it. “That could put a dent in it,” He said and pointed to it.
Your eyes followed his and you nodded. “Good eye, let’s get that thing running,” You replied. The two of you took off running as you could hear chaos behind you. Multiple guns, grenade launchers, and rocket launchers all going off and hitting the monster, only to fail.
Leon beat you to the driver’s seat, and instead of wasting time arguing, you sucked it up and got in the passenger seat.
“If you're driving, I get a gun, fork it over, Pretty Boy,” You said and held out your hand to him.
“You sure know how to treat me like a princess,” He grumbled and reached into his holster, handing you a lightning hawk magnum caliber handgun.
“Where the shit did you find this?” You asked as he started up the jeep.
“In the sewers. I was doing our job while you were asleep,” Leon said with a smirk.
Your hand turned over the gun in admiration, checking the chamber to make sure it was fully loaded. When you process his words you scoffed.
“I sure had a relaxing nap,” You replied sarcastically.
Leon drove the truck forward a bit, then hit the breaks. Claire and Rebecca had run behind a concrete support bar and were catching their breath, evading an explosion. Leon parked the jeep and stood up.
“Claire!” He yelled to get her attention.
“What?” Claire responded, her and Rebecca’s eyes finding the two of you through the smoke and gunpowder.
“You still have that password Taylor gave you?” He asked.
Claire pat the pocket of her jacket. “Yeah, right here.”
“Take Rebecca and stop those drones, we’ll keep him busy!” Leon said.
Claire and Rebecca were on their feet, nodding in agreement. As soon as the two of them took off, Rebecca turned back around to face the two of you.
“Don’t die!” She said, then turned back around.
It was unfortunate that the people in your life had to say that to you on a fairly regular basis.
Leon got back in the tuck and put it into drive, driving past the two girls and towards the monster.
“So uh, what’s the plan?” You asked.
“Jump when I tell you to,” Leon replied, smirking a bit.
“This is the last fucking time I get in a vehicle with you driving,” You sighed, watching the monster get closer and closer to the truck.
About 30 feet before the truck collided with the creature, Leon nodded at you. “Now!” He barked. The two of you swung onto the roof and ran along the truck towards the back. Your ears picked up the sound of a grenade pin dropping and you turned to see a grenade in Leon’s hand. His spare hand grabbed your wrist and the two of you jumped when you reached the end of the truck. Leon threw the grenade behind the two of you and pulled you into his chest. He rolled so that he took the brunt of the impact of the concrete floor as the two of you hit it.
Rolling a few times, the two of you ended up sprawled out on the floor. Leon still holding you close to his chest and you nestled between his body and the ground. The explosion came soon after, Leon’s shoulders hunching over as he flinched and the heat of the flames being felt by your legs.
“I’m getting too old for this shit,” Leon groaned.
“I didn’t ask you to be my landing pad,” You chuckled back as the two of you recovered, getting to your feet.
“A ‘thank you’ would suffice,” Leon said, dusting the soot off of his shirt. Your hands helped him, patting off the dust and debris.
“Thank you,” You said in a dramatic sing-songy tone. “My hero.”
Leon chuckled and looked to your left, seeing a crate. “Let’s see if we can find any goodies,” He said and ran over, you following close behind him.
The tankard did nothing but stall the creature for a few seconds, only making it angrier.
“Tell me,” You said. “The missions you had before I joined the D.S.O., were they always like this?” You asked, looting the various crates with Leon. Your eyes searched for ammo or any new guns, the Lightning Hawk being lost in the tankard explosion.
“Actually, yeah. The Arias thing was actually pretty straightforward, more than I’mused to,” He replied as his fingers unlatched a crate.
“You call almost getting squeezed to death ‘straightforward’? What is your life?” You asked.
Leon smiled a bit, exhaling a laugh. He found an automatic rifle with a drum in one of the crates and started pocketing any ammo for it. Finding a rifle of your own, you followed him towards the monster, climbing over various storage crates and shipping boxes.
The monster must’ve noticed the two of you and been angry about the tankard, because before you could even load rounds into it, a foot came crashing down onto the shipping container the two of you were on.
Out of the corner of your eye, you could see Leon get launched into the air as you fell towards the ground.
Taking the blunt impact, you coughed out a groan and got to your feet. Maybe Leon was right about being too old for this shit, you certainly felt like you were getting too old for this shit.
“Chris, Leon!” You heard Jill yell. Looking around, you couldn’t find Leon, until you looked up and saw him hanging from the rafters. You wondered how the fuck he got up there, then starting running towards Jill and Chris.
“What’s that?” Chris asked, looking up at where Jill was.
She was holding a big rail gun looking weapon on top of various shipping containers. “A plasma rifle,” She replied nonchalantly. “It heats up to 20,000 degrees, but it’s short range,” She added, struggling against the weight of the weapon, then kneeling down to get into a better position.
As she knelt down, she lined up the plasma rifle, then looked over at Chris and you. “Can you get that thing any closer?” She asked.
Chris scoffed and went to turn around. As he ran past you, you heard him mutter, “‘Can we get it closer’ she says.”
You ran up to Jill, jumping on top of the crates, and snagging another rifle as you made your way. Looking up to where Leon was, you saw him safely drop and slide down a broken catwalk, leading to an army jeep.
Thanking whatever sick and twisted deity was watching over you, you were elated that you weren’t getting into another death trap with the man you loved.
Jumping across more shipping containers, almost to Jill, your brain stopped working as it thought about the words you just used.
Loved.
The man you love.
Shaking your head, willing yourself to stay in the present, you made your way over to Jill who was charging up the plasma gun. She nodded in acknowledgement to you.
“I’m (Y/n), we haven’t met yet. I’m Leon’s field partner,” You said, aiming down your rifle’s sights and taking shots at the melted skull on the creature.
“Jill,” She replied, staring at the plasma rifle’s meter.
“Hell of a first introduction,” You added and smiled.
“It’s always a fucking shitshow, isn’t it?” Jill replied, chuckling.
Looking towards the floor, you could see Leon haphazardly driving the army jeep and Chris stationed on the back of it at the artillery gun. The two were trying to lure the creature closer to you and Jill, guns blazing in the process.
“Jesus Christ, you could not pay me enough to be in that Jeep,” You heard Jill mutter.
“Agreed,” You replied, continuing to take shots at the monster, trying to focus on the same spots Chris was.
Your ear picked up the sound of something charging and out of the corner of your eye, you could see electrical currents running through the gun. The monster had fallen right into the trap, surging towards you and Jill.
“Time to light you up,” Jill said and smirked, aiming the plasma rifle at the monster.
With the pull of the trigger, a white hot beam shot out from the gun, the force throwing both Jill and you back a few feet, your back hitting another shipping container. The creature roared and fell to the ground, its arm hitting the jeep Chris and Leon were in, sending the jeep flying. Chris and Leon went over the windshield and hit the ground as it flew in the air and hit the wall, crumpling.
Through the sound of metal crashing and explosions dying, you could hear Leon’s voice.
“Is that it?” He asked, exhaustion heavy in his voice. “Did we kill it?”
As the smoke and dust settled, you all could see the monster laying on the floor, seemingly defeated. As you went to help Jill up, you heard a splotching sound; the monster was back up again.
Jill scurried back to the plasma rifle as the monster recovered slowly, its eye set on the two of you. In that moment, if you could’ve traded places with anyone else in the whole world you would’ve.
“One… more… to finish ‘ya,” Jill said as she lugged the plasma rifle back into position. You helped her pull the rifle, lining it up to the creature, it being harder this time around with how exhausted and beat up the two of you were.
The plasma rifle started charging up again, starting from 0%. The monster was 20 feet in front of you two, slowly closing in.
“God damn it,” Jill said under her breath. You looked around, trying to see if you could see the rifle you had earlier, but it was lost in the various rubble and debris. “Come on, come on!” Jill said as the plasma rifle kept charging. The monster was about 10 feet from the two of you, it’s ugly face tracking you and Jill.
“Jill…” You said, your hand on her shoulder. Electricity surged through the plasma rifle as it was nearing close to being fully charged.
“Fuck!” Jill yelled as a giant foot crashed down on the shipping container, sending you and Jill flying through the air.
Upon impact, you did what you knew to do and rolled, but you felt two familiar hands stop your inertia. Getting your bearings, you could see Leon at your side, helping you up as he simultaneously pulled a handgun from his vest. “You okay?” He asked urgently.
“Couldn’t be better,” You replied, getting on your feet. Off to your side, you could see Chris helping Jill up, the monster making its way towards them.
Leon ran over to them and fired shots into the creature’s skull, only for the bullets to appear to be doing nothing to it, just like before.
Your eyes scanned the ground, for even the smallest handgun, only to remain unvictorious.
The monster’s head got close to Jill, Chris, and Leon, only for it to stop in its tracks and turn around, seemingly uninterested in the three of them.
Leon’s shoulders relaxed, bringing his gun down. “Huh?” He exhaled. Jill and Chris stared at the creature, ready for it to turn back around and decide that they were its dinner any second.
The four of you watched it pull itself along the floor, headed towards the water. With squishing sounds, it left a trail of blood and what could be only described as snail juice behind it.
Chris and Leon nodded at each other and made their way back to the jeep. Leon gently grabbed your bicep and dragged you with him, you relenting and getting in the passenger seat. Leon hopped in the driver’s seat and Chris manned the gun, just like minutes previous.
“It’s headed for open water,” Leon said, starting up the jeep again.
“Like hell it is," Chris said, reloading the artillery gun.
The jeep took off on the opposite side of the docks from where the monster, and unfortunately enough, Jill were. Your eyes caught that she was running with a duffle bag slung over her shoulder, set on something. She managed to get in front of the monster, dodging its legs in the process.
With a loud metal clanking sound, you also noticed that the gate was closing, no doubt thanks to Clarie and Rebecca.
“What’s the plan?” You asked anxiously, eyes locked on the monster.
“That’s for you to decide,” Leon said.
“Me? You’re the one driving!” You replied, eyes widening at Leon.
“Exactly! I’m the driver, you’re the planner,”
“The driver should know where the hell they’re going and what the hell they’re doing!”
“I know where we’re going,” Leon replied, a tinge defensively.
“Well there’s only one way to go! Forward!” You rolled your eyes.
“Could you two stop bickering like an elderly couple? There’s a case back here with a rocket launcher, military grade,” Chris cut in.
You and Leon stared at each other, then back at Chris. “That sounds like a great plan,” You said, smirking.
Leon parked the jeep, then jumped out of it, and ran around to the back to take the case from Chris.
Jill was still on the other side of the docks with the creature, now with a flare in her hand, yelling insults and exploits at the monster. You looked at her in awe, wondering and hoping you looked even half as badass as she did right now.
Chris stood above Leon, watching him try to figure out how the rocket launcher worked, making your confidence in them waver slightly.
“You know how to use this?” Chris asked. Your confidence halved.
“It’s got a trigger doesn’t it?” Leon shrugged. Your confidence was abysmal. Leon instructed Chris to put the two halves of the rocket launcher together and started to line it up.
“Hey, (y/n), help us line this thing up,” Chris said. The military level rocket launcher needed two people to man it, one facing forward, Leon, and one facing away, Chris. The person facing forward had the barrel obstructing their entire eyesight.
You rushed over to the two men, standing right next to Leon. “Do you just need eyes, or help lifting the damn thing?” You asked.
“Just eyes,” Leon and Chris both said at the same time.
“Tell us where the bastard is,” Chris said.
Your eyes panned over to the monster, then to the gate, seeing it lowering way slower than it should've been. An idea formed in your mind as you watched Jill dive into the water, the monster trailing after her.
It was a long shot, and had to be timed perfectly, but you could see Jill and the creature underwater, making their way towards the gate.
“Better idea, aim at the gate belt,” You said. “Leon-”
“Got it,” Leon said and got on his knees, his mind matching yours and your idea. Chris followed suit, the launcher resting on their shoulders.
Telling them to aim a little higher, and having Leon lift it even higher than Chris, you lined them up to the best of your abilities. Your eyes went back underwater to track Jill as you directed the launcher to the right slightly.
“Leon, I need you to fire as soon as I say it, not a second later,” You said.
You watched as Jill got dragged by the creature underwater a few yards, then cut herself free. The monster didn’t care about her anymore, only seeking the open water.
“Got it,” He replied, his voice strained from lifting the rocket launcher.
The monster jumped out of the water, surging forward towards the gate.
“Now!” You said.
“Fire!” Leon said and pulled the trigger. Him and Chris got jolsted back at the recoil, then put the launcher down, watching the rocket hit the gate belt. With an explosion, the gate came crashing down, cutting the monster in half.
“And that’s that,” Leon said, sighing. Chris stood up, rolling his shoulder blade and stretching.
Jill resurfaced and swam over to the three of you, pulling herself up onto the concrete floor. Chris rushed over to help her up as she coughed up water and got her bearings.
You heard footsteps approaching you and felt an elbow rest on your shoulder. You didn't even have to look to know who it was.
“I’ve only been doing this for a few years, I don’t know how you all have done it for decades,” You sighed.
“Honestly, I don’t know either,” Leon said, his exhaustion evident in his voice. “It helps that we’re all together. Saving the world sucks less ass when you have friends to do it with,” he added and chuckled.
You looked up at him and noticed how bruised his nose was getting. “Did you reset that yet?” You asked and gestured to his nose.
“No, why? Does it look that bad?” He asked, his eyebrows knitting together.
“Yeah, it looks like you got hit with a metal pipe,” You said, your hand gently grabbing under his chin and turning his face over, checking for other wounds.
“That’s actually not that far from the truth,” Leon replied and chuckled.
“Maria got you good huh?” You asked, a teasing smile on your face.
“Slammed my head into a railing three times, hurt like a bitch,” He said.
Your eyebrows raised, surprised that someone was actually able to get a hit on Leon. Over the past few years, you learned that while it wasn’t rare for him to catch a fist, it was rare for it to happen more than once in succession.
“She’s dead though, so it doesn’t really matter anymore,” Leon added and shrugged.
You let go of his face, wanting to feel the stubble again as soon as you let go. “Sounds like she deserved it,” You replied and chuckled.
“You’re such a people person,” Leon replied, chuckling as well.

The six of you loaded onto the B.S.A.A. helicopter, courtesy of Chris and Jill, and buckled up, ready to go home. You and Leon had managed to get into contact with Hunnigan who was, understandably, distraught at losing contact with you two then Rebecca.
Talking to her, you found out that Hunnigan actually helped Rebbecca with the vaccine and locating exactly where you all went missing. It was times like this that you remembered how cool and amazing your F.O.S. operator was.
Looking out the window, you almost didn’t notice Leon taking the seat next to you. He sat down and looked at you for a few seconds, his expression unreadable, before speaking.
“We need to talk when we get back,” He said quietly, so only the two of you could hear.
Your eyes met his and you nodded, knowing exactly what conversation the two of you needed to have. The exact conversation that you had been putting off for years.
“Yeah, we do,” You agreed.
“We have a while before the helicopter reaches San Francisco, get some rest,” Leon said.
“You too,” You replied, a hint of accusation in your voice.
“I’ll sleep as soon as you do,” Leon chuckled, his hands up in surrender.
The engine of the helicopter started up and the blades started turning. The six of you put on your headphones, the blades and the engine making it too loud to hear anyone else. As the helicopter took off, your eyes remained out the window, watching alcatraz slowly disappear.
Your head leaned on Leon’s shoulder, you finding it to be the most comfortable pillow you had at the time.
“Reminds me of New York City last year,” Rebecca said, her voice being picked up by all the headphones.
You, Chris, and Leon slightly smiled, remembering the mission to stop Arias.
While waiting for the helicopter, you and Leon had gotten caught up to speed, being informed how Dylan Blake took over Arias’s crime syndicate and teamed up with Maria. He promised her revenge for Leon killing her father and they used Dr. Taylor’s research to engineer the nanobots responsible for spreading the strand of the T-virus that Dylan had.
“If I hear Glen Arias’s name come out of someone new again, I’m slamming my head against the concrete,” You mumbled.
“You’re getting grumpy, you need to sleep,” Leon said.
“Im 33, not a child,” You said, a frown on your face. “I don't ‘get grumpy’.” You added.
“You can say that all you want, still doesn’t change that you need to sleep,” He replied.
“....fine…” You grumbled and shifted a bit, getting comfortable.
Rebecca giggled, her gaze locked on how your head was resting on Leon’s shoulder and a soft smile on her lips. A year ago, she clocked it, asking you about you and Leon, while killing time in the helicopter while the vaccine spread through NYC. Specifically asking if you two were in a relationship. At the time, you only blushed and tried to steer your conversation in a different direction, assuring her you two were just work partners.
Now here she was, seeing the two of you act like you were the only people in the world.

Ransom/Tearstains
Leon's face twists in pain as the man on the camera lightly digs the blade into the meat of his bare shoulder, teeth clenched around the strip of fabric they've used to gag him. Chris can still hear him whimpering in the back of his throat; raspy, aborted noises that speak to either hours of screaming or the beginnings of dehydration. Probably both.
Leon's usual shiny hair is lank with sweat and grime, clutched so tightly in the man's hand that his chin is jutted out at an uncomfortable angle that matches the haphazard arrangement of his long limbs on the chair he's been tied to. He looks exhausted, sickly, deep bags under his eyes that glisten with fresh tears under the bright light focused on his face, the salty tracks of long-dried ones interrupted by the spots of blood that speckle his cheek. The man leers, leaning in close to the recording lens.
"I know you're a reasonable man, Mr. Redfield," he says, finishing his monologue. "You've got forty-eight hours, and after that your pretty boyfriend here is mine to do with as I please. Give me what I want."
"Bastard," Piers hisses from somewhere behind Chris, the raw anger in his voice a matching set with the rage that prompts Chris to squeeze his hands into fists. On the screen, Leon makes a strangled sound, the man's gleaming blade tracing a thin line of red up the front of his throat that begins to bead before he can even pull it away again. His eyes fixate hazily on the camera, sorrowful and pleading, and then the image cuts, Chris's fist slamming into the desk of its own accord.
"Fuck!" he growls, mugs and pencils clattering with the impact. Several people jump around him, Jill's strong hand finding a place on his shoulder, but Chris can't even pay them any mind. Panic flutters under his ribs, escaped from the lockbox it usually gets shoved into in situations like these, Chris's patience frayed by days of exhaustion and fear. And now this. A direct request from the man responsible for kidnapping Leon in broad daylight, the bruises on Leon's skin a sure sign of the torment he's been put under just so that Chris has no choice but to comply with the man's demands.
Guilt pierces him with the fresh memory of Leon's tearstained face, Chris's hand trembling where it had cracked against the wood. He has to make this right. He can't let this happen, but they have no idea where this guy is, and every second they waste is another moment he could be torturing the man Chris loves, and---
"We'll find him," Jill promises, and Chris lets his head fall. All he can see are Leon's soft blue eyes, afraid and pained instead of twinkling with laughter like they should be. He doesn't deserve this.
"Yes." His voice breaks, and he swallows. "We have to."

Tumblr media
Let's say that some "no way home" shit is happening and the universe collides and stuff, and instead of multiverse villains coming in the main one, the boys just discover AO3/Tumblr/Wattpad, etc.
Tumblr media
Would chuckle and try to hide his smile. He would also blush when he read steamy stuff. He is amazed by how many people he is shipped with and would spend nights reading fics about him.
He would make an account to mostly keep his favorite works. He would also try to write some stuff with him, thinking it would be easy since it comes from the source, but people say it's OOC.
"Well, story of my life..." Thus, "@the-story of-my-life" was born. He gets sued by Capcom for copyright infringement. Poor guy can't catch a break, even in another universe.
Also, his hair has its own fandom.
Tumblr media
First, what the fuck is a "ship" and why people are "shipping" him with Chris? His eyes widen at the intense NSFW content made with him and his archnemesis, but the "x reader" stuff boosts his ego.
"They know me so well, it's amazing." He'd say it with pride in his tone.
It turns out he doesn't need a virus to mind control anyone, a shirtless picture would do just fine. Thus, "@realalbertwesker" was born on Twitter.
Tumblr media
Why people ship him with his archnemesis is beyond him. Still, he quickly falls into addiction and stays up all night reading fics about him. They just put a smile on his face.
He is shocked to see how many people got him right. They got his preferences right—how he cuddles and what he likes to eat—and goddamn, even his dick size is accurate.
"Am I that transparent?"
No, Chris, we are just obsessed. You're hot.
Tumblr media
Why is everyone calling him a "DILF"? What's a DIFL? And why is Mia either dead or divorced in almost all fics?
After some quick research, he laughs out loud, finding all of this hilarious and quite enjoyable. He likes all the fics, both SFW and NSFW, and he has no shame reading steamy things next to his wife.
He is addicted to slow-burn fanfiction because it keeps him hooked, and he lives for the drama. He starts a Wattpad account to write his life story: "Ethan Winters: from ordinary guy to mold." Everyone says that it’s OOC.
Tumblr media
This man never thought he'd be worthy of being simping material. Still, his ego is increasing with each fics he reads about him.
He has a Tumblr account called "@ask-heisenberg-203". He also buys many checkmarks using Miranda’s credit card. He really wants the rainbow.
He lives for the "x reader" stuff mostly because he feels loved with all his flaws.
Tumblr media
He is a ladies' man and would be so proud to see all the fics and headcanons about him.
He can’t stop blushing at all the cute headcanons, and he even submits. His username is "@definitely-not-carlos" and he reblogs content about himself or Jill.
He lives for the spicy stuff, and at some point, he writes too (from personal experience).
Tumblr media
Let’s face it, he makes a Tumblr account just to write fanfics about himself. Luis is a very good writer and gets many followers in a short time.
"My, my, these people are very horny. And why is everyone shipping me with Sancho?" He said after reading a few smuts that it's ok 'cause he likes the attention he gets.
"Damn, Leon looks good in those thongs..." He would say that after seeing some pictures. He thinks of getting a tramp stamp too because if it looks good on Leon, it would look stunning on him.

Carlos: Remember, when burying a body, make sure to cover it with endangered plants so it’s illegal to dig up!
Carlos: Make sure to follow me for more gardening tips!
———————————————————————
Y/N: Bottling up negative emotions is bad for your health, so you shouldn't do it.
Leon : I know, that's why I bottle up all my emotions, both positive and negative, so it cancels out.
Y/N: Th-that's not how that works-
———————————————————————
Leon: I love you.
Y/N, not paying attention: What was that?
Leon: I said I’m selling you to the zOo-
———————————————————————
Carlos: Standing next to sunflowers always makes me feel weak like ‘look at this fucking flower. This flower is taller than I am. This flower is winning and I’m losing.’
Jill: Wow, you are not ready to hear about trees.
———————————————————————
Leon: Are you an F5 key? Because that ass is refreshing.
Y/N: Are you a software update? because not right now.
———————————————————————
Y/n: Oh, fiddlesticks! That really ruffles my feathers!
Leon: Please, just say fuck.
———————————————————————
Chris: Where are your parents?
Leon: What are parents?
Chris: That’s just about the saddest thing I ever heard get said.
———————————————————————
Y/n: We need to open this locked door. Leon, give me your credit card.
Leon: Here.
Y/n, pocketing it: Thanks. Carlos, break down the door.
———————————————————————
Y/N: Listen, in the wild wild west there is always a woman in the saloon and nobody messes with her even though they all have guns.
Leon: That's because she's a prostitute.
———————————————————————
Leon: What’s sexting?
Y/N: I'm not having this conversation with you.
———————————————————————
Y/N: Know why I called you in here?
Leon: Because I accidentally sent you a dick pic.
Y/N: *Stops pouring two glasses of wine.* Accidentally?
———————————————————————
Leon: We should get you to a doctor for a check up immediately. What if it happens again, and there isn’t anyone around to help you? What if it’s congenital? Oh my God! Was it me? Did I hurt you?
Y/N: …You realize any other person that made their partner pass out on bed would simply feel really proud of themselves, right?
———————————————————————
Leon: I’m proud to identify as morosexual. I’m attracted to dumbasses and dumbasses exclusively. Someone asked me what the Spanish word for "tortilla" was once, and now I dream of kissing them under the moonlight.
Y/N: What kind of animal is the Pink Panther?
Leon, already taking off their clothes: God, Y/N, you’re so fucking stupid.

so I think you mentioned you were working on a new fic in your series. what all has been happening with that? any new details? I’m eagerly awaiting the next chapter :)
Yes! Fic 4 of 5 is coming along nicely—it's just been going a bit slowly, since I'm dealing with some health issues and have been prioritizing those. I'm glad you're excited haha, so here's a sneak peak at the beginning of the fic.
"You crazy bastard, you did it. You actually did it," said Chris, clapping Leon on the back so hard that he stumbled forward a step. "Welcome to S.T.A.R.S., man."
Leon chuckled, clutching tightly the new uniform that had been pressed into his arms about ten minutes before. It wasn't his favorite color—the olive drab of the pants and vest could only do so much for one's complexion—but he could do worse. He fleetingly wondered why the hell the shirt was so white. That didn't seem very practical.
"Thanks," he replied. "Hopefully it won't take long to adjust."
"Nah. You'll crush it, trust me."
Captain Marini seemed to have sensed Leon hadn't wanted to be the center of attention that day, and kept introductions brief—an unnecessary effort, really, since almost every S.T.A.R.S. member on both teams had seen Leon around the office several times over the past year or so.
The worst part had been what Enrico had said to Wesker a few minutes ago.
"I'm surprised you didn't try to snatch him up, first," Marini had remarked. Leon had been by Chris as his friend explained they'd be sharing a desk for the time being, and Leon had been able to overhear the two captains conversing, Wesker leaning against the doorframe of his office with arms casually folded. "Pretty sure we can whip him into shape fast," Enrico had continued. "I almost feel bad for yanking him out from under you." Miraculously, Leon had managed not to choke.
"A missed opportunity on my part, perhaps," Wesker had mused, and Leon had practically been able to hear the suppressed smirk in those nasal tones.
"Who knows? Maybe I can lend him to you, sometime. You know I don't mind sharing."
Chris had squinted at Leon. "That was one weird noise you just made. You had the chicken salad for lunch, didn't you? I told you it looked off," he tutted, shaking his head.
"I appreciate the offer, Enrico," Wesker had said, somehow sounding completely unaffected. "I'm sure Leon could prove flexible enough to perform well in a number of positions. You have good taste."
Leon's attention returned to the present, and he caught the tail-end of Chris saying Leon could look through any of the desk drawers he wanted, but the point man wouldn't be liable for any therapy bills that might ensue.
"What the hell, I'll even let you put up a poster," said Chris, slapping the wall next to his desk. "Except for Mötley Crüe. No goddamn Mötley Crüe. Got it?"
Leon snorted. "Got it."
"Good. And you'll want to talk to Richard soon—he loves to help the new ones out. Right, Rebecca?" Leon and Chris glanced over at the medic, who was seated near the switchboards at the end of the room; she glanced over her shoulder, gave the men a quick thumbs-up and a bright grin, then went back to studying the consoles like she could make them catch fire with her mind.
Leon couldn't help quirking a brow at his friend, even as a fought back a smile. "You're pretty excited—maybe just as excited as I am. Are you assuming me being around the office more means I can pick up even more of your slack?"
"You said it, not me," Chris replied, holding up his hands. "Besides, odds are we won't even be working the same hours very often. Bravo members usually take nights, so you're probably gonna mostly be working the graves shift—which brings me to my next point."
"Your what now?"
Chris's smile was wide and warm. "We should do something fun before your schedule's completely fucked. Jill," he said, turning to catch his fellow teammate's attention.
Valentine was cleaning her gun nonchalantly, boots up on her desk as she leaned back in her swivel chair. "Yeah?"
"You catch all that?"
"Obviously—you're four feet away from me." Jill smiled at Leon. "Good job, Kennedy." Leon returned the expression, albeit a bit self-consciously; he had to actively remind himself not to act like an imbecile in front of one of the people he practically hero-worshipped. "Knew you had it in you."
"Oh, uh, thanks. Yeah." Idiot.
"When does your new schedule start?" Chris asked, craning his neck to look back at Leon.
"Friday night."
"Perfect—plenty of time for you to sleep off a potential hangover." Chris turned towards Jill once more. "So, Harry's? Thursday? We can roll out the welcome wagon."
Jill smirked, slotting the magazine back into her gun without looking. "Like we need an excuse to get drunk. I'll ask around."

Part Two of ?? Of the HCs
1 | 2 | 3
Ada Wong
Tumblr media
Bisexual/Trans Feminine/Aroace
Bisexual because I see her being interested in both men and women.
Trans because yes.
Aroace because I don’t see her interested in anyone, and yes, that includes Leon. I see those two more of bisexual besties that are each other’s wingman/woman even though both of them never really score /hj
Sherry Birkin
Tumblr media
Bisexual/Asexual
Bisexual as like Ada, I see her being interested in men and woman.
Asexual as she’s like me (heard about sex and said no thanks /hj).
H.U.N.K.
Tumblr media
Aroace
No questions, that is all /hj
Actually, I don’t know why, I just see him only really being married to his job, and for that reason, he isn’t attracted to anyone.
Carlos Oliveira
Tumblr media
Bisexual/Trans Masculine/Asexual/Demiromantic/Polyamorous
Bisexual as he’s like Leon; I would hc him as gay if he didn’t flirt with Jill.
Trans because I can.
Asexual because I don’t know, something about him screams asexual.
Demiromantic as he does flirt, but he doesn’t like anyone romantically unless he’s close with them.
Polyamorous because he is with Leon and Luis, and they live in an apartment together with a wolf and a cat.
Steve Burnside
Tumblr media
Bisexual
I really hate that they made him act weird with Claire because he gives me hella gay man vibes.
Crossing my fingers they get rid of that in the remake.
Jack Krauser
Tumblr media
Bisexual/Asexual/Demiromantic
Bisexual but he’s in denial even though he’s 100% kissed Wesker a couple times /hj
I keep seeing people hc/say that Krauser’s bisexual awakening was Leon, but no thanks, Leon technically his student as Krauser is his mentor (aka a student/teacher relationship), and I feel weird about it. I prefer to say it’s Wesker, thank you-
Asexual because he doesn’t actually like sex.
Demiromantic because it takes a lot of closeness for Krauser to actually fall in love with someone romantically.
Manuela Hidalgo
Tumblr media
Pansexual/Aroace
Pansexual as I can see her not really caring about the gender of who she dates, just as long as she loves them, she’s with them.
Aroace as I see her being so.
Ashley Graham
Tumblr media
Lesbian/Demisexual
I actually flip-flop on her sexuality a lot. She’s either 100% a lesbian or bisexual with a preference for woman.
Before anyone says, “What about when she flirted with Leon??”, shhhh. Let me have this.
Something about her gives me “I love woman more” vibes.
Anyway, demisexual as I can see her only being okay with it when she’s close with someone.
Ingrid Hunnigan
Tumblr media
Lesbian/Aroace
I’m not kidding when I only started seeing her as a lesbian through a Hunnigan/Ada fic. It was really fucking good that it made me only see her loving women, not men. I didn’t even ship them, but it convinced me.
Aroace because she doesn’t seem interested in anyone really.
Luis Serra-Navarro
Tumblr media
Genderfluid/Bisexual/Polyamorus
I have this thing that I look at characters in fandoms I’m in, and if their hair is very gender, they get genderfluid as a treat.
That’s what happened with Luis. Plus, I see him possibly fluctuating between femininity and masculinity a lot in terms of how he dresses.
Bisexual because have you seen him? He’s clearly a bisexual man.
Polyamorous because he’s definitely dating Carlos and Leon /hj
