personality | very shy, but once i’m comfortable with you i become very chaotic! i tend to be mean affectionately when i get comfortable and just say what’s on my mind without much thought cause i know i can trust you. i am the type of the person to tell you if what you’re doing could get you hurt or in trouble in some way. i’m also very big about honesty so it’s rare that i ever tell a lie, especially to people close to me. hence why i want people to be straight up and not lie to me. not very big on people i don’t know well touching me, but if you’re close to me you can hug me if you’d like.

when i’m frustrated or angry, it happens often but it’s never truly that deep. like i’ll be angry but it won’t be for long. i do lash out at people, but it is often not just one thing that caused me to do it, it’s a build of of things over time.

being sad is just the same way, it builds up over time until it boils over. i cry a lot when i’m sad, same with when i’m angry, because i don’t know where to let out my emotions.

appearance | my hair color changes often, but right now it’s blue and purple! my hair cut is a wolf cut with bangs! i’m very pale with pale blue eyes and i’m about “5’3” to “5’4” in height! my style is grunge or alt, but i like to keep it simple! so just cargo pants, a plain t-shirt, and some high tops and jacket will do!

He’s also pretty quiet, but when you get comfortable around him, he’d LOVE how chaotic you are.

I think he HATES when people are too uptight. And will look to you for a break!!

Malleus might be a frustrating partner since he seems closed off, but i promise its just cause he doesn’t have friends and he needs to learn :(

He’d be so happy to find out the reason you were shy at first is bc you’re awkward and you aren’t scared of him like everyone else.

He’d be fine with whatever you did to him. Honestly if you lash out at him, he’d be a little taken aback but he’d let you let all your emotions out, and try to help you through it all.

Part 1 is here

I left a lot of characters out in my first post cause I don't think babs would play league for an example, but I'm willing to make an effort and imagine this.

NABERIUS: Ezreal one trick. Never looks at matchups, picks Varus if Ez is picked or banned. Has 2 million mastery points, Ianthe always points it out when he misses a Q. Complains a lot in the chat, but will never be as mean as Ianthe. Plays with the twins cause otherwise he has no one to play with. Is platinum.

JEANEMARY: Vi main. Saw arcane (reason I didn't mention arcane on my last post was bc I think none of the characters there would be that crazy for arcane, they'd play league even before the boom), goes duo with Isaac and they try to emulate the professional calls of the sixth, but are too chaotic to do so. Types in chat to answer people flaming or to say "mb" about bag ganks. Is gold.

ISAAC: Zed and Akali main, Kayn if he's playing jungle. Despite his edgelord champion pool, is not very toxic. Goes duo with Jeanemary, they're about to get out of elohell. Types in the chat to ask for ganks or apologizing for bad plays. Is gold.

ABGAIL: Soraka main, but willing to play ADC if with Magnus. Knows exactly how to build for each game, wards the shit out the map, carries the team on her back, passive aggressive if she thinks someone's trolling. Does not buy skins. Plays 1 game per day and then goes back to work on her research. Types "GG :)" after every win. Is platinum.

MAGNUS: Support main, mostly Leona and Braum, he started playing to spend time with Abgail. Tower dives like it's nothing. Doesn't do runes, builds Solari every game. Once he played with Ianthe in his team, took him 2 weeks to turn chat on again. Types little jokes about the champions in chat, no one likes, except for Gideon. Is silver.

DULCINEA: She's a twitch streamer and all her donations are for hospital bills. People open her stream expecting her to be playing Lilia or other cute champion, she's playing Naafiri. Knows how to play almost every lane, likes to play flex with the sixth and the ninth. Usually chill in the chat, but if you tilt her, you're gonna read some ugly things. Is diamond.

PROTESILAUS: Toplane main. He's that guys who won't come out of the toplane for nothing, not even herald, you'll put your camera on him and he's laning peacefully and farming, it's 20 minutes of game, both botlane towers already fell. Plays Illaoi or Garen, usually appears on Dulcie stream but doesn't say anything. Never types in chat, is diamond.

THE EIGHTH HOUSE: I'll do this two in one take cause who even cares about the eight house. They're that jungle and top duo that won't leave you alone, with champs like Rumble and Zac, if you're bot or mid and they're on your team, prepare to play without a jungler. Sometimes, they'll have a discussion in the middle of the game and nothing will be done. Only type in the chat if not in voice call. Both are emerald.

That might be surprising but Jack isn't my top 1 fave to draw LIKE SDFFSKDMGDS I MEAN I DO LOVE TO DRAW HIM but I don't enjoy the process of drawing him as much bc overall he is a pretty hard character to draw and I think most artists in twst can agree with that 💦 (me cryin n mentally preparing myself to render his hair)

I guesssssss I love to draw Idia,,,,,,, Maybe rendering his hair not as much but I love drawing Idia's face cause hes soooo expressive so it's always very fun ~

And surprisingly I love drawing cute characters like Riddle and Lilia, I feel like I'm more in my element when I'm drawing big-eyed feminine faces (which is funny and ironic bc I like hunky masculine characters the most but I dont enjoy drawing them as much as feminine twinks HHJASHJ)

Also a special mention to Dio from JJBA because OHMYGOD i love to draw this mf. Jojo characters have the perfect balance of hunky/masculine with androginous and feminine traits, like there's no bigger pleasure than to draw a big tiddy hunk with lipstick and big-ass eyelashes......... its so therapeutic I highly recommend it <3

14. Funniest thing that happened to you during the drawing process?

I have no idea 💀 uuhh idk if this counts but there was a time when I made a commission for a friend that had a NSFW joke in it, and whenever I go to therapy my therapist asks me to show any new art that I do and she insisted that I showedf what I drew in that week and I was like super embarrassed while she was like ''oh this is so nice 😇'' and I was sweating bullets thinking ''oh my god i hope she doesnt know what that english words means'' 💀💀💀

⁃ Plays casually but consistently, riddle is a perfectionist and wants to make his teams good, but he’s also realistic and pragmatic. He knows he’s a busy guy, and can’t join trains all day to bust up all his grids at once

⁃ The type to focus on one team at a time based on a predetermined order. Probably not in a crew (if he is, it’s just him, Cater and some of Cater’s friends) so he doesn’t worry about guild wars and building his teams based on that.

⁃ f2p, he’s responsible with his money. probably mains light since he likes the comfort of a high hp pool + stamina, and the typical light play style is reliable and safe.

⁃ Has only recruited one eternal—funf. Her voice probably drives him up the wall, but he likes the security of her heals to his light team. Is planning on 5*ing her!

⁃ favourite class is doctor. Practical, and he won’t admit it but sexy as fuck

⁃ He plays for the gameplay rather than the story/characters, the one exception is sandalphon, who he is incredibly fond of!!! he reads stories if the plot interests him, however, and if he’s got some spare time.

⁃ Doesn’t care for the plot, is purely driven by competition and wanting to have the best grids at any given time. Mains water for the Octavinelle Aesthetic and bitches about having to play the summer cagliostro crit setup to compete with other elements.

⁃ Likes quatre because they are both driven purely by spite and revenge, and is desperate for him to get a rebalance so he can run him w/ a clear conscience

⁃ Also likes Six, probably cried like a bitchboy during seeds of redemption which is to this date the only story he has read but you didn’t hear it from me

⁃ In a crew with idia and is waiting to overthrow him as captain

⁃ Has a weird spreadsheet showing exactly when to cast a status effect for it to land with the highest success that’s virtually unreadable to anyone aside from him

⁃ Plays chaos ruler as default bc he thinks it looks cool

⁃ sparks for the weapon rather than the character

⁃ hates farming for mats and gets the twins/his slaves to do his dailies when he’s busy a lot of the time god i wish i had slaves to farm ubaha host mats for me rn

Kalim

⁃ Rank 50 but his grids are the best of anyone in the game bc haha money go brrrr

⁃ He is cursed with bad gacha luck, and managed to deck himself out with the sexiest primal grid possible (puts idia’s to shame) thanks to jamils help, and a lot of money spent on trying to get Vikala’s ssr (before realising the spark function existed...)

⁃ He doesn’t favour any element, because he likes all the characters! He has a soft spot for Anila and Vikala though, since they’re so adorable and fun!

⁃ Doesn’t play seriously and mostly just reads the stories, idia wants to cry when he sees his fire grid with four flb ixabas going to waste

⁃ He likes Sarasa, and thinks she’s really funny, so when he does play it’s mostly grinding to recruit her!

⁃ Actually likes Vyrn and doesn’t find him annoying! has actually read the main story.

⁃ solos as soon as he has 300 crystals, he literally can’t save, i hate it here

⁃ downloaded the game because of the pretty art and the cute character designs, but can’t be bothered to learn how to play—he’s a busy man!

⁃ Europa was his first SSR and is still one of his favourite characters, she’s so pretty! He also loves michael and gabriel, and would start playing properly if they became playable mark my words

⁃ won’t admit it but probably wants belial to smear his makeup a little

⁃ kinda a basic bitch, has only read the wmtsb series cried at the ‘i’ll be waiting’ scene

⁃ criticises the fashion choices of every character he pulls, summons included. Won’t go into raids if the boss is ugly.

⁃ Does his makeup with zero playing in the bg and once parades lust...

Idia

⁃ that insane player who has soloed faasan hl in every element, has all the eternals 5*ed + the sexy blue skin, and all the evokers

⁃ a legendary figure in the community

⁃ plays as tormentor in every team bc he’s that bitch and also has a damascus knife mh for every element even if he doesn’t always use it

⁃ is both serious abt gameplay and the characters, watches all the gbf channel episodes and keeps up with news

⁃ was probably in a gbfvs tournament

⁃ his favourite character is caim, who reminds him of ortho with his childish innocence! Second is Nio, who is quiet and cute! He’s fond of a lot of characters though, like esser, funf, ferry and narmaya.

⁃ Strictly plays with his faves, but his grids are so good that he manages to make any setup meta.

⁃ Has siero scratcher ptsd bc it didn’t give him his third flb blue sphere but got tempted with it so. many. times.

⁃ Is in a guild w/ azul and ortho + some internet friends and if anyone doesn’t meet the gw quota in a day he screams at them w his hair all red and angry

hi again, yes about the interview in particular and if you have new thoughts on S2 (because i know you already wrote some predictions and problems that could occur) that would be great!!

Alright then.

So this trainwreck of an interview. This was a wild ride. Just when you think there is no possible way to be more disappointed with the YOI staff, we get this. After this interview, Yuri on Ice can’t claim praise over representation. It can’t.

I’m going to cover the points that I found more…distressing, let’s say. If there’s anything I don’t touch upon that people want me to comment on specifically, feel free to send me an ask. All the bolding in the quotes will be my doing for emphasis of certain points.

Let’s start with this really, really worrisome thing:

Regarding Yuuri and Victor’s scene after the FS, I was fine with it being interpreted in any way. However this is the part that had more response from overseas, I was even directly asked “which one it was”. And then I heard from Japanese people too that some had an argument with their friends over whether they kissed or not, or they just hugged. I was surprised that people would want to know the truth. Up until then I had always thought that people wanted to be able to interpret fiction how they preferred. But seeing the reactions that this episode received, I realized that even if it’s fiction, inside people’s mind this series exists as a world of its own and so they believe that there must be a correct truth, an exact answer somewhere.

First of all let me say that I am very glad there’s finally been mention of the Japanese fandom asking about the kiss or hug thing because I was getting very tired of the whole “lol silly westerners~” thing. That said…how is she surprised that people want to know? If she’s writing this story about two male characters being in a romantic relationship, especially amidst the sea of fanservice bait and toxic yaoi bs, people are going to want confirmation that these two characters did kiss! Mind you, I am team “it was a kiss” and have been since the episode aired, but it’s highly irresponsible of Kubo to just adopt this nonchalant attitude of “I’m fine with any interpretation.” She shouldn’t be fine! This to me says that she was never actually concerned at all with giving anyone representation.

Victor is asked whether he would like to fight Yuuri as an athlete, but he really doesn’t think that. Actually many people were expecting to see Victor and Yuuri confront each other in a match eventually, however Yuuri is also “trying to win to prove Victor’s skating”. The director and I shared this same opinion when we wrote the series.

Yeah this one is just here for me to go, thanks for the further evidence that Victor was originally meant to retire! Miss me with that “Yuuri skates for Victor” thing though, Yuuri deserves better than that.

Yurio’s FS is still incomplete, but I wanted to show how he was able to obtain a new strength and elegance thanks to the presence of Lilia, Yakov, his grandpa and JJ as a rival. I also depicted his aggressive side when he changes the composition of the program to win, and the fact that he still isn’t able to win against JJ, which is another trial that he needs to overcome.

This is here as an example of what I mean when I say that an author’s intentions are all well and good but the work needs to speak for itself. In this case, JJ was never a trial for Yurio to overcome. He was set up as such, but Yurio never actually had to win against him because JJ ended up self-destructing in the end.

In a meeting with the director I asked her a very basic question: “Why does Yuuri want to win?”, and she replied “Well, he has never won a gold medal so far, of course he wants to win!”. I thought that made sense. Yuuri, who has never won an international competition, wants to win a gold medal before retiring. The “origin” of his desire to win is in fact pretty simple. He has been able to work hard so far because he wants to win a gold medal and is confident that he is good enough to succeed. I inserted that monologue because, even though Yuuri might look weak, he actually has been fighting the whole time.

First of all WHAT? You’re the main writer of the series! You should know your main character’s motivations! How do you not know? How could you have been writing him without knowing it? That’s basic character building! Second of all, she apparently doesn’t know her own characters at all. Because Yuuri Katsuki is not confident! This is a character trait AND a plot point, that’s repeatedly mentioned by other characters and by Yuuri himself! W H A T?!

I was told that the words “please take care of me until I retire” are actually something that real skaters say when they ask someone to be their coach. When I heard that, I thought that this was the perfect timing for Yuuri to tell Victor. At this time, Victor doesn’t take these words in the sense Yuuri really means, which is “until the end of this season”. He left Yuuri fighting alone in a tournament, so I think he was very torn about whether he should apologize and about what he should tell him when they met again. But then Yuuri told him “until I retire”, and I think Victor was probably really happy because it meant that Yuuri still needed him even when he was far away. Victor didn’t think that Yuuri would retire after the end of the GP Final, and he didn’t clearly decide until when he would continue being Yuuri’s coach, therefore I believe that he was happy to hear Yuuri’s feelings, to know that Yuuri too wanted him to be his coach until the end.

Absolutely no mention of Yuuri and Victor’s relationship being anything beyond that of coach and athlete, absolutely no mention of “that sounds like a marriage proposal”.

What Yuuri bought is pair rings. When I looked it up I found out that buying a pair was cheaper (LOL), and I also thought that if they were going to wear something matching this would be good. There are actually many real skaters who wear accessories as “omamori”, protective charms. More importantly, Yuuri has been giving Victor fresh surprises until now, and I wanted him to get a new item, a weapon to fight in the final match. When I suggested the rings to the director she was like “Yes, that!!” (LOL). We were like, “yeah, a cornered athlete would do something like that!” More than implicating something like a wedding, it’s similar to members of the same circle deciding to have a matching item.

I AM LAUGHING AND CRYING GUYS! LAUGHING AND CRYING!

Platonic! Wedding rings!

But wait wait! It gets worse! Because we have this to top it off!

Victor is surprised by Yuuri’s action but understands him, so he makes a wish upon the ring telling him “show me the skating that you like the most”. In the China tournament he said things as if he was testing Yuuri, he “broke” his heart, so here he finally vows to the ring that “he will completely trust what Yuuri decides” and is determined to do what he can as a coach.

That entire scene was a platonic scene between coach and athlete, it’s what this is saying. It was never meant to be a proposal on Yuuri’s part! So there actually was no canon Victuuri proposal. Victor announcing they are engaged is not a proposal, it’s an announcement. One that Yuuri doesn’t even confirm. And then it’s never brought up again. ARE THEY EVEN ENGAGED?!

Platonic wedding rings! How do you pick wedding rings as a platonic symbol for your characters to share?! Remember how people joked about the rings being platonic because people still didn’t see Victuuri as canon? Those ‘just a bro buying wedding rings to another bro’ things? Well Kubo says they are platonic! Canonically platonic wedding rings! This is even better than #trancendental

There’s also a moment where Yurio thought Victor was smirking looking at the ring. Like Yurio says in this scene, people tend to believe that athletes “die as competitors” when they stop and “become stable”. But I think that Victor, more than anyone else, is sensitive to this topic and is worried that people will say that about him, or that he will actually become like that. In this scene Victor wasn’t smirking, he was starting to think about his future.

Pray for Victor’s lost characterization. He’s truly dead.

Yuuri makes an attempt at adding a quadruple flip in his SP, but actually in the beginning I wasn’t planning to have him jump so many quads. The increasing level of real life competitions prompted me to add a realistic feeling by showing how you can’t win if you don’t have multiple quads in your programs. The reason Victor jumps a quad flip together with Yuuri during his performance is, more than something he does as a coach, something that comes from his feelings as an athlete.

The flip means absolutely nothing for how Victor feels about Yuuri. Nothing.

The reason Yurio could pull off his best performance is that many elements like his experience and the environment surrounding him all blended together perfectly right at this time. From an external point of view young and strong athletes somehow tend to look like they are “destined to win”, like they are performing a program prepared to win. However, every single second of their performance is the result of their efforts. I wanted to show this with Yurio’s SP.

Gonna quote @soobaki on this one “maybe bc theyre literally always the protag in every other series and yoi was supposed to subvert that but then didn”. If you wanted Yurio to be the protagonist so badly, you should have just made him the protagonist from the get-go.

When Victor is watching Yurio’s performance we cannot see his expression because I myself haven’t decided what the truth is, like whether he is frustrated because Yurio beat his record, or he wants to surpass him again, or what else.

Lady. LADY! L A D Y!!! You! Are! The! Writer! If you don’t know, who knows???

In the end I’m really portraying every character thinking that I want them to win, and especially in JJ’s case, he has a power that makes you want him to win.

JJ won bronze because author favoritism. There. It’s explained now. Honestly, read the way she talks about JJ in the entire interview. At this point I’m sure she likes him more than Yuuri. Hell, at this point I don’t think she likes Yuuri that much.

I could touch upon every single point of episode 12 believe me, but here’s my top offenders.

What Victor told Yuuri right before he starts is performance, more than something that he really thinks deep down, is what he came up with when thinking about what could encourage Yuuri Katsuki the most, so basically it’s “Victor playing the role of Victor as Yuuri expects him”.

I have no words.

No, wait, I have many words. Starting with, what the hell? So…I really dislike that scene. I think I made my feelings for that scene obvious. This just makes that scene worst. So Yuuri tells Victor to be true to himself and Victor…acts. He’s not being sincere. Victor goes back to playing a role, the role he thinks Yuuri wants him to play. This is utterly heartbreaking. And really unhealthy as far as their relationship goes! There is not positive way of reading this.

Regarding the scene where Victor hugs Yurio before the competition, he didn’t do it because he was begging for his help to stop Yuuri from retiring, or because he was asking him something. He just wanted Yurio to skate at his best, it was his genuine feelings of support for him, as if he was saying “go and do your best!”. After all, until this scene we never really saw Victor support Yurio. It’s an action that cannot be explained with logic.

Ok well, you didn’t convey that, did you? Some basic scene set-up and character acting was sorely missing from that scene. Still, RIP manipulative!Victor theory. Small blessings.

That said, here’s Kubo forgetting her own canon again. We never saw Victor support Yurio until this scene? You sure?

Are you really sure about that?

She also keeps saying that certain character’s actions or thoughts or feelings “can’t be explained through logic” and all I have to say about that is this: cheap excuse. You’re the writer, you should know how to explain your characters.

The selfish decision ultimately taken by the selfish Yuuri Katsuki was to continue competitive skating. I think there were many reasons that led to this conclusion. Not only what Victor gave him, but Yurio’s performance in the FS also managed to pull Yuuri back to the ice, and maybe he was influenced by the other athletes’ performances too.

Yuuri Katsuki? Selfish?! Yuuri who spent most of the series thinking about people other than himself? Yuuri who had a mental breakdown over the idea that he was keeping Victor from happiness? Yuuri who had “accepting and admitting to his desires” as part of his character arc? Yuuri who had to be pushed by other to do the things he wanted for himself? Ok so she clearly doesn’t know her characters.

She “thinks” there are many reasons that led to the conclusion of Yuuri continuing to compete? Please enlighten us. Other than “we wanted a s2 and didn’t know how else to pitch it, also give us your money”, what other many reasons were there? Narratively, I’m pretty sure not even Kubo knows, considering the “MAYBE he was influences by the other athletes’ performances too”.

This interview guys. I’m pretty sure it shortened my life span. Character derailment, retcons, continuing to insist on the at this point blatant lie that the finale was planned from the start (I would still be furious about it, but I would respect the staff so much more if they admitted they changed it at the last minute), and still no confirmation of a romantic relationship between Yuuri and Victor, on the contrary. I don’t really have new thoughts about s2, other than the fact that it’s not looking great. Not looking great.

Vet AU Headcanons!

little headcanons that i thought of for the Vet AU i’m writing :)

Send me some if i’ve missed anything, and i’ll think them over and confirm them or not if i like them! anyway, have some Vet AU headcanons starring our lovely Yurio!

(this is the most i’ve written in a long time, and i write really fast, so sorry for any spelling mistakes. Imagine, an American not spelling correctly!)

Vet AU Headcanons-

-In this au, Yuri is about 21 or so.

-Viktor and Yuuri met when Mari brought Yuuri in to start training to be a therapy dog for the baby animals, and needed to borrow Viktor for a bit to show Yuuri how therapy dogs act. Viktor completely threw that out the window when he saw Yuuri, and affixed himself to the younger dog.

-Yuuri was extremely shy when he first came to train at the hospital, but Viktor and the other animals are helping him out of his shell.

-Mari got Yuuri from a shelter after the poor baby had been abused and was on death row. She didn't want the poor thing to die without ever knowing what a real family was like, and adopted him on the spot. It took Yuuri a little while to warm up to her, but he now regards her as his savior.

-Yurio has this sort of aura that animals really like, as he was always the best at taming stray cats from the neighborhood. This sort of gave him the nickname “The Cat Whisperer” during his school years.

-Viktor is a therapy dog for other, older and larger animals. He's the best at calming and reassuring other pets that the hospital isn't a bad place.

-Yuuri is in training to handle younger, baby animals when they visit the hospital. He still tends to panic when they start yelping or yowling about being scared. But, he's like a giant mama bear, and tends to be protective over the small animals.

-Yuuri once fell asleep watching the new birds a pet shop had sent over to be checked and vaccinated, and Dr. Lilia found him covered in baby parakeets, looking extremely comfortable on the Shiba Inu's fluffy fur.

- okay, so the breeds of all the animals, in case you didn't know, are as follows-

Viktor: silver short furred (it got trimmed by Yuuko) Husky with blue eyes, dog. Hyper af, but calm and serious when needed, as per his training under Mari.

Yuuri: Black and tan Shiba Inu with chocolate eyes, very fluffy, dog. Shy, skittish, but getting more confident during his hospital training.

Mila: ginger ussuri which is a type of Russian feline. Mila's fur is reddish with black stripes and spots, and greenish blue eyes (bc I can't tell if ussuri's have blue eyes, they all look green.) Houdini of cats, usually breaks out of her cage when bored, which is most of the time. She's stuck at the hospital due to her owner having gotten into an accident, and won't be home for a few months, so the hospital is keeping Mila around until her owner is better.

Chris: Golden Maine Coon, with chocolate eyes. He has unusually slightly curly fur, usually trimmed. He's also slimmer than a normal Coon, which makes Dr. Yakov think he might have smaller cat genes mixed in. Mind you, Maine Coons grow to be really fricking huge, so everyone really hopes the small cat genes in Chris win out. Though, the bigger they are, the more to cuddle, right? He loves to rub himself against people, as he is a very affectionate kitty.

Sara and Michele/Mickey: Black kites, which are a type of bird of prey. Some of Russia is still wild, so people like to use birds to hunt. (This is probably not true, but i'm a little lazy at the moment and don't feel like looking this up.) These two birds grew up together, and are pretty much inseparable. Sara is more vocal about things than Mickey, though.

JJ: he's a fucking peacock, okay. Born and raised in Canada, perfectly tame but a bit of an asshole. Loves to preen and show off. His owner is Isabella, and she is rich as hell, and spoils JJ like crazy.

Emil: Very, VERY affectionate Czechoslovakian Wolfdog. (apparently these dogs are still considered a new breed.) but they are pretty and fluffy and blue eyed and aaaaaaaaa just look them up when you can-

Minami- people joke about him being a chicken nugget, so I made him a wild red tailed hawk chick. Yuuri found him hopping around the training yard a few months ago, and the tiny chick imprinted itself on the fluffy dog, and now follows him around a lot. He also helps keep an eye on the pups and kits of the Nursery, which is a relief for Yuuri. Minami is still learning how to fly though, and sometimes gets lessons from Sara and Mickey when they come in from getting injured during hunting season. To make sure nobody freaks out over him, Dr. Lilia dyed a patch of feathers on Minami's head to a bright red that meant that he's a tame part of the hospital, and that he's perfectly safe to admire.

Leo: Golden Retriever puppy. Because I can't think of anything else :')

Guang-Hong: Tibetan Spaniel because have you seen how smol and cute they are-

Georgi: Russian Blue. He isn't pure Russian Blue, so he has black fur. He was abandoned by his old owner, Anya, and the other shelters can't take him in, so he's staying at the hospital for now. It says that Russian Blues get very attached to their owners, so I figured that this was perfect for him. Yuri is thinking about taking him in once he gets over Anya. The poor kitty was really attached to her, so when he was abandoned he stopped eating due to depression. He's getting better thanks to Mila, Chris and Yuuri's help. Viktor is busy with other patients in the kennel area, but he stops by when he can.

Phichit: Thai Ridgeback, tan. He loves to chew on wires and devices, so he usually ends up in the hospital for shards of glass or wires in his gums or mild electrocution. You'd think he'd learn, but no. Sometimes he does it on purpose just to see Yuuri. The two dogs grew close during Yuuri's first few weeks at Mari's house, as Celestino (Phichit's owner in this AU) used to live next to Mari for several years until he had to move across town for his new job. Phichit was the first to get Yuuri to open up more, and feel safe at Mila's place. The two are best friends, of course, though Celestino is a little ticked every time he finds the house phone chewed up, or a heating blanket.

-Otabek is a mechanic, and Yuri's roommate of 2 years. They met when Yuri's bike broke down and needed a ride home, while Otabek got kicked out of his house by his parents who, “Love him, but can't stand the smell of motor grease and oil smears all over the house, accidental or not.” Otabek gave Yuri ride to his house on his motorcycle, and Yuri offered him a place to spend the night as a return favor. He learned the next morning that Otabek didn't have anywhere to stay, and as they had bonded as friends the night before (over watching some comedy drama and vocalizing opinions over the characters), he decided that as long as Otabek paid half the rent, he could stay. Yuri doesn't mind the smell of oil, either, since it reminds him of his grandpa's car.

- Viktor and Yuuri are indeed, gay dogs, and they love each other thank you very much. Viktor visits Yuuri in the nursery as often as possible, and loves helping Yuuri with the baby animals there.

- Minami is protective over his “Mama Yuuri”, but has accepted Viktor as his adopted dad.

- The animals all really care for Yuri, and worry when he isn't around. Yuri secretly cares a lot about them too, even if he won't admit it.

- Yuuko is a pet groomer that trims and cleans animals that need to be cared for immediately, and isn't squeamish over blood due to her job involving washing off blood mixed with dirt every time an emergency is brought in.

-The triplets often volunteer at the pet hospital, usually doing tasks like cleaning kennels or feeding the animals.

-the hospital is big enough to rival an actual human hospital, with separate areas each the size of a house for the various animals they care for there. There's a separate building area for emergencies, while the main building is for things like check-ups and overnight stay areas (again, the size of a family house), while everything is separated according to species, like the bird treatment area, the canine area, the feline area, and the reptile area.

-The resident snake of the reptile area is called Jake, and he's the oldest occupant of the hospital due to his digestion issues. Yuri thinks he's pretty cool, for a snake.

- Yuri's field specializes in medium pet animals, like cats, dogs, and other domestic medium sized pets that I can't think of at the moment. He remembers the day he had to treat a pig, and boy wasn't that an adventure.

- Otabek works at a mechanic shop a mile away from where he and Yuri live, and builds custom motorcycles and repairs cars and other machines there. He often takes the custom build blueprints home to discuss with Yuri, as a fresh mind is always helpful with new ideas.

-send me headcanons for this AU! I'd be glad to incorporate them into the little fics I make from it! I might discuss them over with you first though, in case I'm not sure if they fit in the AU or not. :)
