Hi friends. I’m 21F and have been struggling with my body image since 2009 which led me to develop anorexia around 2014. I’ve been struggling ever since and have tried every trick and diet out there but have finally settled on my own so I thought I’d share it. First of all, recovery is a lie. There was a point in my life where I fully recovered but made me fat… it was nice not to worry about calories and all that but the pros outweigh the cons of an ED if done correctly. So think of your ED as a lifelong friend. In order to have an ED successfully for a long period of time you must go about it healthily. I know this is somewhat contradictory. I’m gonna include just some general tips, advice, and food alternatives. In a separate post I’ll be listing my favorite low kcal recipes so stay tuned.

GENERAL TIPS
•Drink water before, during, and after meals. This is absolutely crucial.
•During this period it’s important to spend extra time and effort on maintaining your vaginal health, immune system, fertility, and skincare !! Really important not to neglect these things especially vaginal care >.<
•Calories matter but make sure to eat nutritious foods. Must have a good judgment on when to splurge on kcals or when to go for an alternative. For ex: splurging on healthy foods that are a lot of kcals vs unhealthy processed foods that are low kcal.
•It’s good to strive for 1200 kcals or less. If it’s a cheat day or you’re feeling lenient then aim for around 1600 kcals. Never ever go over 2000 kcals.
•if you’re a foodie like me then you *have* to find creative and unique ways to curb your cravings. Otherwise your mental health will plummet. If you’re not satisfied then you’re either gonna keep eating or be miserable
•Remember your brain needs at least 330 kcals to function properly so if you’re feeling slow or disoriented then definitely have a snack or meal.
•Best drinks to have are water, sparkling water, tea, and coffee.
•If you eat over your calorie limit don’t fret, it’s not the end of the world. Just either work out or purge. Keep purging to a limit and don’t do it more than once a day. Ideally less purging is better so keep it for emergencies.
•Using apps such as my fitness pal are great for seeing what nutrients you’re deficient in or going overboard in. However I’ve found I lose more weight when I’m not using the app because I’m thinking about food less. However everybody is different and I would recommend at least checking out the application if you haven’t already.
•Vitamins are your bestie too!! I take a couple supplements to make sure I’m getting the vitamins I need for longevity.
•Cut down on silly calories like sauces and drinks by using alternatives. Also you can pretty much find a low kcal version of anything these days if you look hard enough.
•If you love flavor then these simple things will help like ~ seasoning, low kcal hot sauce such as Tabasco or sriracha, soy sauce, etc.

CRAVING ALTERNATIVES
•Juice or sugary drinks ~ low sugar Gatorade, fruit flavored teas iced with extra tea bags to give it extra flavor
•Soda ~ flavored sparkling water with powder or liquid drink mix such as crystal light strawberry lemonade drink mix
•Starbucks ~ just making my own mixed coffee drinks and sweet tea drinks saves so many calories
•Dessert ~ Gerber biscuits arrowroot (taste like shortbread), Gerber lil biscuits, cottage cheese, chocolate covered fruit or nuts
•Chips ~ Gerber’s Lil Crunchies Mild Chedder (basically cheese/ cheeto puffs), quest chips, or half a serving size of normal chips
•Ice cream ~ strawberry halo top
•Chocolate ~ alter eco or dark chocolate coconut fudge
•Mayo ~ miracle whip or vegan mayo
•Rice ~ cauliflower or broccoli rice
•Pasta ~ Chickpea pasta

Hi! I come to you with a theory regarding Zayne's Myth, specifically regarding the Creatio Protocore, because he lives in my mind rent-free and it bugs me how awkward it is to place his supplemental background stories in relation to everything else.
Specifically, my theory is that the Creatio Protocore is the core of Philos, and that it was the first Protocore (that we know of).
My main reason for suspecting that the core of Philos is a Protocore is based on the two methods we know of for creating Wanderers: sacrificing humans to the core of Philos to power it (Xavier's Myth) and long-term exposure to Protocores (Zayne's Anecdote 3).
The tangible common thread between these two is obviously humans turn into Wanderers, but while we know for one method its because of Protocore exposure, we don't know what about the core does this to humans. We also don't seem to know what the core is exactly, only certain qualities about it such as it keeps Philos together, it grants neat perks to its denizens like longevity, it's artificial, it's dead, it uses people to sustain itself, and that process somehow creates Wanderers. It's also presumably extremely powerful, given the range of stuff it does as well as holding an artificial planet together.
But also, there's the odd detail that Protocores seem to predate Wanderers considering the Protocore Xavier gets for MC in his Anecdote 3, the mere existence of the Creatio Protocore in Zayne's Myth, and Wanderers don't seem to come up on Philos until Xavier's Myth near the end of Philos. You'd think it'd be the other way around with Wanderers predating Protocores considering they drop them upon being slain, but also Protocores don't seem to be as commonplace as they are on Main Story Earth because both Xavier and MC in Anecdote 3 don't seem to know exactly what Protocore Syndrome is and it's a disease specifically caused by Protocores as per the game blurb in Deepspace Messages.
In any case, it establishes that Protocores have been around fairly early in Philos's inception, at least two centuries in.
I also find the circumstantial details for Xavier getting the unspecified Protocore for MC in his Anecdote 3 to be... sussy, to say the least. He's all cut up with that ring of light around his neck and implication he's lost whatever freedom he's had as a punishment, but like why? Sure it's obvious he stole a valuable Protocore but if it just healed MC the implications that he had to fight to get to it and he's being punished severely with the ring of light seems like overkill for that alone.
Okay, so to take this all together: immediately, application of Occam's Razor. We know exposure to Protocores turns humans into Wanderers, we know the core of Philos ALSO turns humans into Wanderers yet we don't know exactly what the core is, ergo conclusion being the core of Philos is most likely itself a Protocore. This is supported by Protocores confirmed to have been around at least as early as year 214 on Philos with high likelihood they existed even earlier and predating the known first appearances of Wanderers, so it would put them at the right time for one to be THE core. Also the implied troubles and consequences Xavier suffered to get MC the Protocore she needed in his Anecdote 3 make me think he didn't just steal a generic rare and powerful Protocore but the core of Philos for her. It also just makes sense to me from a logistical standpoint because at this point it seems the Protocore is under the royal family's guard as Xavier knew what MC needed without much specification and his injuries when he showed up, which, of course it would be if it was indeed the core of Philos since the royal family would want to keep it close and guarded.
But I digress... slightly.
Okay, so MAYBE the core of Philos is itself a Protocore. Why the Creatio Protocore specifically?
Firstly, it creates a segue between Xavier's Anecdote 3 and Zayne's Myth (assuming that's the order they come in chronologically). Xavier steals Protocore/core of Philos for MC but is too late, it's implied he's lost his freedom as a punishment for this which effectively takes him out of the running for god-knows-how-long before he can make good on his promise to track MC down again.
As for the Protocore? Well the Crown Prince was bold enough to steal it, clearly it's not safe with the royal family anymore. Maybe it's better off left in the care of a certain Foreseer in a frozen tower?
Also there's certain details about the Creatio Protocore that made me raise my eyebrows when rereading Zayne's Myth. Specifically, that MC's illness stems from her resonance with the Creatio Protocore, that it grows stronger by draining away her life (and also seems to drain her more the closer she gets to it), and that the cure to her condition is to fuse the Creatio Protocore with her heart.
Now, before I get to the other stuff: the Creatio Protocore grows stronger by draining away MC's life. Kind of... odd, that doesn't seem to be a quality of Protocores in general unless that's exactly what people turning into Wanderers via Protocore overexposure is, they're being drained slowly by the Protocores around them until they reach the Wanderer threshold. But that the Creatio Protocore grows stronger via draining MC's life implies that conversely it runs out of power over time, which sounds awfully like the dead heart of Philos which needed human sacrifices to keep itself and the planet going.
Speaking of which, what happened to those emissaries that the royal family sent to the Tower of Thorns every 100 years? Oh none of them came back? Wonder why? I highly doubt Zayne killed them considering he summoned a blizzard to deter a random group of travelers.
Okay, moving on to MC's illness stemming from her resonance with the Creatio Protocore and the cure being to fuse it with her heart. It has broad similarities with her condition in her life in Xavier's Anecdote 3: it's explicitly called "Protocore Syndrome" so it's caused by a Protocore, it causes a decline in her health over time until she dies, and it can only be cured by a specific Protocore. There's also the specific connections MC has with both the Creatio Protocore and the core of Philos. Creatio Protocore has an explicit connection to her seeing as her resonance with it is what's causing it to use her as a fuel cell even over long distances. The core of Philos has a more vague connection to her because she's the only one who can be sacrificed to it over and over without turning into a Wanderer. It might just be because she reincarnates and for some reason that doesn't allow the Wanderer transformation process to complete but I'm not satisfied with that answer.
Point being there's parallels between the broad strokes of MC's condition in her lives in Xavier's Anecdote 3 and Zayne's Myth and also between the Creatio Protocore and the core of Philos in that MC has a special connection to them and I'm inclined to think it's not an accident.
At this point it would mean that now the core of Philos is fused with MC's heart, which would roll over into Rafayel's Myth where her heart is what makes the people of Philos immortal.
And now I'm gonna do a line of crack for the next part of this theory because it will be heavier in speculation. It also relies heavily on the theory that Rafayel's heart is the thing that's giving the special perks to Philos like MC's ability to keep reincarnating and the immortality of the people of Philos.
I think that the Creatio Protocore was made by trying to take Rafayel's heart from MC by force, and since it was taken by force instead of given willingly, something didn't go right. Like sure, the Creatio Protocore was made and it was powerful enough to reform Earth into Philos and make everyone immortal, but it couldn't sustain itself because it wasn't fully divorced from MC. And then it gets put back by Zayne but it's still not back with Rafayel so things are still going to shit, and then maybe someone tries to take it by force again after the end of Rafayel's Myth and that's how we end up with the situation in Xavier's Myth with the end of Philos?
Some stray thoughts to finish off:
Nomenclature details - "Creatio" -> literally a letter off from "creation", and what else was created but the artificial planet of Philos?
"aether" -> According to Wikipedia page on aether (classical element), "In Greek mythology, it was thought to be the pure essence that the gods breathed, filling the space where they lived, analogous to the air breathed by mortals." Creatio Protocore is also called the Eye of Astra, who is a god. Aether Protocore is also called a "fragment" in the Main Story, so it's a fragment of the Creatio Protocore? Maybe that would explain why MC is so stable at this point in the main story despite her heart issues?
Also I think Astra is the person that made and used the Creatio Protocore to create Philos and then deified himself as a god (maybe through the power of the Creatio Protocore too?). I thought it was odd that Astra was so dead-set against MC being given the Creatio Protocore to the point of fucking with Zayne's memories, especially since things seem fine even after she gets it, but it might make slightly more sense if he's worried that either his main conduit of interacting with the world via the Creatio Protocore is in some way neutralized when MC has it or he's worried MC getting the Creatio Protocore is a step closer to Rafayel getting his heart back.
(Also Astra erasing Zayne's memories over and over again because he knew Zayne would give MC the Creatio and he seemingly wants MC to keep reincarnating and wandering up to the Tower of Thorns to give the Creatio Protocore a recharge is pretty fucked up)
Anyway, last stray thought: When initially thinking "core" of Philos, I thought a literal core like Earth, especially since that seems to be what the text implies with something holding the plates together, but then I thought does it have to be? Hence this rabbit hole.
Anyway anyway, I uh. I apologize for the long ask. It most def has mistakes from stuff I glossed over and because I can't check Xavier and Rafayel's Myths closely due to not having the cards. But this is my best guess as to how things in the Philos era fits together.
Yes yes yes! You summed up a bunch of ideas I've had floating around in my brain and made some connections I was struggling with!
I definitely think the Creatio either is the planet's core or is somehow linked to it. I also think it is somehow connected to Rafayel's heart.
I've contemplated whether it could be some form of ancient Lemurian tech. It is described as Astra's eye, and the only other god-being we've seen so far is Rafayel, so perhaps Astra is another Lemurian? Or some other ancient people with a connection to/rivalry with the Lemurians?
Alternatively, the Creatio could be a paradox. The Wanderers follow Xavier through the Deepspace Tunnel, then it seems humans start studying/researching protocores, eventually perhaps creating or improving them to develop the core, which then later creates the Wanderers that travel through time, and so on and so forth. Essentially the Creatio/planet core creates itself somehow or other. 
Either way, there certainly seems to be a connection between the Creatio/planet's core/Rafayel's heart, whether natural or manufactured. 
Currently, we have two separate (but connected?) groups that could play into the creation of the core and/or development of it as the planet's core. 
Ever Corp appears to be researching immortality by kidnapping/studying/dissecting Lemurians. Meanwhile, Onychinus is playing around with altering protocores and their resonance. (Rafayel talks about how everything has a unique resonance that makes it distinct in the universe and teaches MC how to sense it). But Onychinus wasn't the first to play around with protocores, as they appear to have started after a researcher that Grandma worked with on the Aethor core experiments on MC defected to them. Perhaps the original research was also linked to Ever Corp.
We also know by Dawnbreaker's time that there are factories actively working on protocores in some way or other (which has the side effect of turning humans into Abominations into Wanderers). And that the effects/consequences of this are being hidden by higher powers/the government. 
I am also tremendously curious about what is frozen in Mt. Eternal. It appears to have the same pattern as the floor of some of the protofields where we fight Wanderers. Mt. Eternal also appears to be connected to the Tower of Thorns, as you can see the same peak from the balcony of the tower. Additionally, the story Foreseer Zayne tells MC talks about a Divine Mountain, likely also Mt. Eternal.
I also agree that the protocore Xavier acquires in his Anecdote and the Creatio are one and the same, and therefore it seems likely that because Xavier stole it, the Foreseer was placed as a guard on it, somewhere the royal family cannot easily access. I would love to know why Zayne was chosen to be Foreseer. Was it supposed to be a punishment or a blessing? Certainly, if it was originally intended to be a blessing, it turned into a curse by the end, though it did give him the means to save MC eventually (which is what Doctor Zayne is also studying protocores/protocore syndrome in an attempt to achieve).
It also seems likely that the protocore Xavier retrieved had to be significant, since MC somehow knew it could cure her, and Xavier somehow knew which one to find with limited details.
I like your suggestion that the emissaries that the royal family are sending to the tower are being sacrificed to the core, I could totally see that. That story Zayne tells MC talks about how she is walking over white, gleaming bones. This could be all the MCs that died before, but also likely anyone else who has been sacrificed to the core in the meanwhile.
I could see MC being once more separated from the Creatio via a forceful attempt to remove his heart at the end of Rafayel's myth. I definitely suspect that the story there ends with Rafayel falling into eternal slumber, and then MC being assassinated by either angry Lemurians or the royal family. The part I struggle with on this idea though, is why then does Xavier’s Myth MC seem to be heart-condition free? She appears to be as stable/healthy as Rafayel's MC, so how was the core separated from her yet she remained stable?
My guess is that the Creatio and the planet's core are not the same, but rather linked. So the Creatio remains fused to her heart in Rafayel’s and Xavier's myths and is linked to the planet's core via the Creatio but the Creatio is distinct from the planet's core. Maybe they are quantum entangled or linked by resonance like the heart and the Creatio.
Since we know from Xavier's Myth that there is an explicit link between hearts and protocores, it certainly seems likely that the Creatio and/or planet's core and Rafayel's heart go together, on some level or other.
Zayne's story also talks about divine beings sitting on thrones hiding daggers. This could easily apply to Astra and Rafayel (particularly interesting with Rafayel since he has to re-acquire the heart via a special dagger). I also wonder if there could be other divine beings as well, or those who have elevated themselves to divinity, manipulating and scheming in the background.
A lot of great ideas here. I need to go through and reread some stuff and see if any new details stand out with all this information in my mind.

today i named the thing that keeps ancients alive longer than natural "longevity". im also toying with the idea of it being a consumable supplement rather than a single treatment but im not entirely sure. maybe once you start taking it, if you go off it youll age rapidly and suffer and die so you need to keep on it idk idk. havent decided lol

OBSESSED with the fact that the infamous “gross American food” poll is fully just poor people food that people still make/buy either because it was passed through their family or because they’re still poor. Allow me to elaborate. Here’s the poll if you’ve managed to avoid the discourse:

American Chocolate tastes different because of two factors: the majority of our cacao comes from South America unlike Europe which generally imports from Africa (moving product farther costs more money). Also, American chocolate is only required to have 10% cacao as opposed to Europe’s 20% (using less cacao and supplementing with readily available sweeteners like corn syrup costs less money). In fact, the very first American Chocolate company (Baker Chocolate Company) was so aware of how much less wealthy the early US was than Europe’s established market for chocolate, that their bars came with a money back guarantee for anyone who was disappointed with the sweets. The current financial situation in the US is well known to the rest of the world- of course we still make and eat cheap chocolate, the bones of our country are exploitation. Also, the dairy content is lower in American chocolates which makes them more shelf stable. Shelf stable foods are important for communities living paycheck to paycheck who have money for a chocolate bar right now but won’t for their kid’s birthday in a week.
Bologna feels self explanatory to me. It’s made of literal scraps from the meat production industry that are then turned into a “sausage” and cured to give the product more longevity. I like fried bologna because it was cheaper for my dad’s parents when he was a kid. My dad likes bologna for the same reason.
Watergate Salad is made of shelf stable ingredients. Many desserts require eggs or dairy that can be expensive and expire quickly. Those desserts then get stale if they aren’t eaten immediately. Canned fruits, pistachio pudding mix, and cool whip (which is hydrogenated oil and very little dairy) will all keep for a while. You can buy them in bulk and put them in your cabinets or freezer until you want to use them and then the salad itself will keep in the fridge. See again the importance of shelf stable foods to impoverished communities.

Grits, Boiled Peanuts, and Biscuits and Gravy are all southern comfort food staples. I was born and raised in north Georgia, it’s very important to me to note that almost all southern food was co-opted from freed slaves by poor rural white folk in the south. Plain grits can be deeply unappetizing but they are cheap and self stable. You can add butter and salt or even seasoned meat and veggies. Grits are rarely a whole meal all to themselves and when they are you add some cheese or salt at the very least. George Washington Carver (a black man many people outside of Georgia should acquaint themselves with at least a little better) turned peanuts into a massive cash crop in Georgia because they are nitrogen fixing! They replace the nitrogen other cash crops (like cotton and tobacco) take out of the soil. In order for your fields to stay viable, you have to plant something like this every once in a while, so most farmers had peanuts themselves or had a neighbor growing peanuts. Boiling them is a quick, easy way to get salt on the nuts themselves. The water soaks through the shells and seasons and softens the nuts. Water is free and peanuts will keep until the fats start to go south, no wonder they picked up popularity among rural folk and travelers alike. Biscuits and gravy are another scrap food. A good sausage gravy is made of leftover sausage and southern biscuits are a savory, buttery carb that is filling and gives you energy you need somewhere like a farm. The negative stereotypes of the south are pervasive and often rooted in racism. Find someone whose grandma has been making these foods her whole life before you form an opinion.
Meatloaf is seasoned more often than not. Like. Sorry you ate meatloaf that wasn’t salted. Anyway, meatloaf is another scrap food! Meat scraps are ground up and then formed into a loaf. Most people put tomato sauce or ketchup on it. Canned tomato products are, you guessed it, shelf stable, and can also be canned at home fairly safely.
The United States at large is not ignorant of the world around it. We are aware that other foods exist. Either we are choosing to eat these or our financial situations are backing us into corners. This is all without even touching upon the prevalence of food deserts in low-income, minority communities in the US. If you’re aware of all this and you really just want to critique the wealth disparity in the US, punch up. Go after the guys with money, not the food that the rest of us find joy in making out of the scraps. Also, making fun of the British is always punching up. Maybe if you had caused fewer wealth disparities that directly impacted the food eaten in other countries, we would be nicer about yours.

Congratulations on prioritizing your self-care! It's never too late to focus on your well-being, and it's commendable that you're taking steps towards that now. When it comes to making your scent last longer and maintaining good hygiene, there are a few simple suggestions:
Choose a long-lasting body wash: Look for body washes that are specifically formulated to provide a lasting fragrance. Many brands offer body washes with scent-boosting properties that can help your fragrance linger throughout the day.
I don't know what your exact budget is but here are some of my recommendations:
Ouai, Necessaire, Aesop, Byredo
2. Use a moisturizing lotion or oil: After showering, apply a moisturizing lotion or oil to your skin. Hydrated skin can help retain fragrance for a longer period. Opt for products with subtle scents that won't overpower any cologne or perfume you choose to wear.
3. Select a suitable deodorant or antiperspirant: Use a deodorant or antiperspirant that suits your body's needs and offers long-lasting odor protection. Look for products with fragrances that complement your personal scent preferences.
4. Layer fragrances strategically: Consider using a fragrance-free or lightly scented body wash, lotion, or oil to avoid clashing scents. This will allow your chosen perfume or cologne to be the dominant fragrance and last longer on your skin. Remember to keep your perfumes away from direct sunlight as it could alter the fragrance and reduce its longevity.
5. Hormonal changes: Hormones can influence your natural scent. Hormonal imbalances can cause changes in body odor. Make sure you are ingesting the proper foods and taking supplements. Typically Chlorophyll, Magnesium and B vitamins are used to help with this.
Remember that personal hygiene goes beyond scent. Regularly washing your body, including all areas, is important for overall cleanliness. Additionally, maintaining oral hygiene, such as brushing your teeth and using mouthwash regularly, is essential for fresh breath.

Self-care is more than doing things that feel good. Self care is doing all of the things that you need to do to be your best self, including (and usually are) the things that we don’t want to do or that don’t feel good at first. But they really are good for us and will help us reach our highest selves (which is what we want!)
Self-care can be summed up into 2 categories: Physical (external factors) and Emotional/Spiritual (internal factors). Here is a list of a few self care daily habits that could be reflected and/or improved upon. This list is not comprehensive but it should help you get to thinking about daily habits that you can work on improving every day to help guide yourself to becoming your best self, one day at a time.
Physical- Working out, eating healthy, wellness checks with PCP, making and keeping doctor appointments, skin care routine, morning/night routines, basic activities of daily living (shower, brush teeth, clean clothes, clean room/house), organization that you ACTUALLY use, taking medications/supplements, hair done, nails done, traveling, spending time with self, spending time with family
Emotional/Spiritual- Boundaries, self-accountability, being honest (with yourself and others), New/Full Moon rituals, bible reading, doing research, investing time and energy into craft, meditation, journaling, reading books and poetry, making goals and executing plans, making and keeping promises to yourself (start small)
Whatever you do for self-care, the biggest theme and lesson for this new moon (and year of 2024) is to be consistent. You have to be consistent with whatever you need to do to be your best you! Stop procrastinating! Take a large problem, break it down into manageable steps, and do the damn thing! Day by day, step by step, all that stuff adds up. Just a couple of weeks of applied energy and consistent motion towards your goals can make such a difference. A year of real grind and motion can really slingshot you into your dreams. Starting to really feel like autumn... nursing a head cold while reading books, sipping tepid tea, listening to hundred waters and cryptid podcasts, & playing creeping games in bed. Only got up to water the plant that is me & do a bit of light yoga (mostly sitting positions😪). Made Dolly Pawton her own yoga mat so she would stop getting underfoot. It didn’t work because she’s obsessed with me (not complaining though 🥰), even though I left her treats & sprayed it with calming pheromones. Work is in two hours & I’m gonna keep resting & slapping metaphorical bandages on myself so I can make it through. Please let it be easy with big money 🙏🏻🍀

We Humans aren't designed to live forever, but we can live longer than we do!

Most “anti-aging” supplements that many popular websites and books recommend do NOT slow down your aging process, they mostly benefit your health as you get older, and you are still ageing at the same rate you always have.
These are substances like vitamin A, vitamin E, coenzyme Q10, lipoic acid, B-vitamins, calcium, omega-3 fatty acids, zinc, multivitamins, curcumin, EGCG, nicotinamide riboside (NR), mushroom extracts and many more are great supplements but they won't slow down your aging!
This means many touted “anti-aging” supplements are nothing more than antioxidants, which do improve your health as you age, like vitamin A, vitamin E, coenzyme Q10, lipoic acid and so on. But they don’t slow down aging. Some antioxidants can even accelerate aging, like lipoic acid or vitamin A and vitamin E.
Ya see,... We human beings aren't supposed to live forever so we have an aging process which triggers (kicks in) at a certain age, and it's downhill from there on. We have a built in fail point, just like automobiles do, so they can keep selling us cars forever.
Ya wanna know what does slow down your ageing process, and they SLOW DOWN not stop it..........
1. "Fisetin", a natural ingredient found in vegetables and fruits, especially in strawberries. Fisetin is mostly known for its senolytic activity, meaning it can clear away senescent cells, ..... zombie cells literally that have done their job biologically but reuse to die off, and are still hanging around sponging off of other healthy cells, like many of our political leaders do.
2. Alpha-ketoglutarate (the calcium form)
Alpha-ketoglutarate (AKG) is a substance that naturally occurs in our bodies. When we get older, the levels of AKG decline. Most studies show in mice that they live 14% longer than mice that didn't take Alpha-ketoglutarate (AKG).
3. Microdosed lithium
Lithium is a mineral found in nature. It seeps from rocks into water, including drinking water, like natural spring water.
Various studies show the more amount of lithium in the drinking water the longer people have been living in that area, and had less neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s.

4. Glycine
Glycine is an amino acid that occurs naturally in our body. When we age, glycine levels decline.

5. Pterostilbene
Pterostilbene is the better brother of the famous anti-aging substance resveratrol.
Resveratrol has long been hyped as a longevity substance. However, it unfortunately did not live up to that hype. Studies showed disappointing results when it came to resveratrol extending lifespan.
6. Malate or malic acid
Malate, also called malic acid, is found in apples, and in our own bodies.
Malate is an important substance in the mitochondria. In fact, malate is a component of the Krebs cycle, which consists of various substances that are chemically modified to provide the energy that keeps all cells going.
7. Magnesium
Magnesium is an indispensable mineral for the body to function properly.
Magnesium helps innumerable enzymes in our body to function properly. Cells shuttle magnesium in and out to propagate nerve signals and to generate muscle impulses, including the beatings of our heart.
Magnesium also sticks to our DNA, stabilizing our DNA, protecting it against damage. Increasing DNA damage is one of the reasons why we get older.
8. Glucosamine (the sulfate form)
Most people know glucosamine as a substance to reduce wear and tear of cartilage and to improve joint health.
Few people know that glucosamine can also extend lifespan in different organisms, including mice.
Studies show that glucosamine is one of the few supplements associated with reduced mortality in humans, and also reduced risk of cardiovascular disease in humans.
9. Hyaluronic acid
Hyaluronic acid is an important component of the skin. But hyaluronic acid (HA) surrounds and embeds many other cells in the body than just the skin cells.
The older we get, the less hyaluronic acid there is in the body. A 70-year-old has only about 19 percent of the amount of hyaluronic acid of a young person.
Studies show that hyaluronic acid, taken orally, can improve skin appearance by reducing wrinkles, improving moisturization of the skin and increasing skin radiance. It can also improve osteoarthritis, which makes sense given joints and cartilage contain a lot of hyaluronic acid.
10. Ginger
Ginger is a well-known spice. But it’s not just any spice, it's THE SPICE for longevity.
Many scientific studies demonstrated multiple beneficial health effects of ginger, like reducing inflammation and protecting cells against damage.
Ginger has been found to extend lifespan in simple organisms, like fruit flies.

11. Rhodiola rosea
Rhodiola rosea is a very interesting plant that grows in the northern regions of Europa and Asia.

Theanine has been shown to extend lifespan in simple organisms.
Theanine has been associated with healthier blood vessels, and could reduce blood pressure and even obesity.
Theanine has shown to reduce neurodegeneration and protect neurons in the body.
13. Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN)
Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is needed to make NAD+.
NAD+ is a very important substance in the cells. It provides energy for cells and is also a cofactor for proteins that repair and maintain our epigenome and our DNA.
NMN improves metabolism and reduces inflammation.
In conclusion I can say I've studied anti-aging for decades and many anti-aging supplements are based on outdated insights and don’t have any or just very little science backing up their claims.
Also, they do not contain substances that have been shown to act on aging mechanisms.
I personally have been taking 5 of these 13 supplements for a decade, so I should outlive your grandchildren, Lol
I would say if you just took one of these 13 it should be L-Glycine, because Glycine is like the switch that turns on the light in the room, and if the switch doesn't work nothing else gets what it need to illuminate you.
Ginger being a close second to take, which both are fairly cheap in cost to get pharmaceutical grade supplements, and remember only pharmaceutical grade supplements are worth a damn, because Choosing a pharmaceutical-grade supplement is the only way to know for sure that you're giving your body the highest, purest, and most bioavailable form of an ingredient possible, so if it doesn't say "pharmaceutical-grade" on the label, it isn't!!

I've been working in retail for 8 years, same job, same location. It's my first and only job I've ever had. I started out as a measly sales associate making $7.40 an hour. Then I worked with my team and they trained me and promoted me to a junior manager position (full time key holder) and I started making $9, then $11 then $13 an hour over the course of 4 years. Finally in December 2017, after a series of staffing changes, I was promoted to assistant manager and bumped up to $15, then $17 and now $18 an hour and I've been in that position ever since. In that amount of time, I have built up quite a relationship with many regular and reoccurring customers who see me, recognize me, consult with me and just overall seem to like me, ok fair enough. I communicate well with them, I do whatever I can to make sure they get the right products and understand how to use them (vitamins, supplements, workout performance products, etc) sometimes we learn about new things together on the sales floor by doing research and figuring out what product would best suit their needs, extremely consultive retail, not your typical cashiering. But being only the assistant manager, I have seen what store managers go through and deal with and I have never desired that higher position, despite higher pay and a few extra perks. I am comfortable in my copilot position and have no intention of seeking anything higher up.
That being said, so many customers I deal with daily make remarks about how I "run the place" or "you're really in charge" "you've been here the longest, so you know what's up" "you always hook me up" "you know your stuff better than the big boss." And while these all may seem like genuine compliments; they irritate me 90% of the time. I don't get PAID a store manager salary therefore I am NOT in charge. And it implies that store managers don't do actual work and leave it all to the assistants which, in my type of industry, is NOT true (yes you get a few bad apples now and then) but store managers in my company work their assess off and its grueling and they have to do it, there's no avoiding it) So while people think they are complimenting me about my longevity with the company, my ability to ring up 6 people and take phone calls and put away shipment and get sales changes done, etc, in reality it feels like a back handed compliment. And it's downright insulting to the actual store managers I've had over the years who bust their butts working 45+ hours a week. Not every company has this dynamic and there are places that take advantage of employees, and this is in no way a full-on support of corporate retail at all, just some ramblings as to how average joe people like me, can sometimes be viewed as absolutely stellar to some random consumer off the streets. The disconnect between how good the general public thinks I am as a human being vs how incapable I actually am as an adult, is quiet astounding (lets be real, excelling in a retail setting is not exactly worth bragging about) so I feel a bit of imposter syndrome whenever this happens because I keep thinking how there are people out there succeeding in much more glamourous fields with way higher pay rates, but somehow, being good at retail is the only thing that matters to these everyday folks that come into my store.

Do you have an opinion on Joy/Joy Forever by Jean Patou? I used to like Joy and had a few sample vials and I just blind-bought Joy Forever and am becoming concerned that on me it smells like The Phantom of the Opera, and not in a good way. Should I just layer it with something more bright and sweet?
unfortunately i haven't encountered or tried either but they sound pretty interesting. Joy Forever sounds really pretty and like something i would blind buy as well based on the notes but i think i know what you mean, i've taken a chance on ones before thinking they'd be sweeter but then something about the mix of florals feels a bit heavy/dusty/stuffy if that's what you mean by phantom of the opera lol. layering could definitely work, when i want to update or brighten something i try to find a bodyspray rather than a perfume because they're cheaper and usually simpler so there's less notes to potentially clash or overwhelm each other. i've got a few victoria's secret bodysprays i use exclusively for layering because they're cheap and strong and long lasting. they're a bit too simple or too sweet to wear on their own usually but they mix well. there's ones that are sort of single note ones like vanilla, amber, and coconut and i use those the most. i have a couple of the themed or named ones which are a little more layered themselves and i'm still trying to see what they work well with. like there's one called love spell that has a good kick of peach but too much other stuff going on, i'm looking for a simpler peach bodyspray or lotion to layer under Tresor because even though i do love it sometimes it feels a bit dry and heavy and the tobacco comes through more than i'd like and it feels a bit TOO vintage.
if i had joy forever i might try to find something to emphasise the peach or orange notes or even experiment with adding other citrus notes to see if they blend in, it might brighten it up a bit. but also if you don't like bodysprays or find them too cloying you could try looking for something from Demeter, they've got tons of really specific scents but are kind of known for not having the greatest longevity, complexity or projection which imo makes them a great layering library. i have a couple rollerball ones, fresh coffee, pistachio and ocean which i sometimes dab on over things they work with. i guess just accentuate the notes you like most of joy forever and supplement them or punch them up with other products and see if that balances out the ones you don't love. you could experiment with layering it with other full perfumes if you think all of their notes would play well together but it might take some trial and error. i've layered some things i totally thought would work and they absolutely didn't lol.
