neurodivergencies* are just as physical as other disabilities. why are changes in your brain, nerves, gut, hormones, senses, and energy levels only considered physical if they're caused by literally anything else? have we considered that the separation of the mind from the rest of the body is just a way of minimizing and othering ND people?

*neurodivergent refers to people with mental illnesses, developmental and intellectual disabilities, and other neurological conditions.

Insanity is an important part of revolution. Throughout history, the concept of what was ‘sane’ and what was not was used as a tool of control for colonialism, white supremacy, and sexism. Samuel Cartwright, the confederate doctor, created drapetomania as a mental illness to explain black people wanting their freedom. It is crucial to accept people and states of mind which are considered ‘insane.’

To support revolution, to burn away a system you have lived in your whole life and start again, requires some level of ‘unreasonableness.’

I am not the most qualified on this topic but I highly recommend reading “How To Go Mad Without Losing Your Mind” for a better understanding.

Proposal for a truly adversarial tabletop RPG:

The numeric values of the traits on your character sheet are pre-filled, if applicable but the actual names of your traits are not: they're left blank, indicating only what part of speech – noun, verb or adjective – should occupy that slot.

The game includes 20–30 different character sheet designs, each of which has a different assortment of open slots, presented in a different order and layout, so what kind of slot is being filled can't be predicted from its part of speech unless you know which sheet someone is holding. The slots on each sheet are numbered.

Character creation begins with each player drawing a random character sheet design; the group then goes around the table taking turns calling out the part(s) of speech of their character sheet's lowest-numbered empty slot. Each other player calls out a word satisfying those criteria, and the active player must choose one of them to write down in that slot.

Attempt to play the resulting characters.

A basic mockup of a character sheet might look like this (though in practice they should be much more needlessly complicated):

As I grow older, I realize more and more how bad most therapists and psychologists are and how damaging their profession has been to society. Therapy speak, and the ideas they push about human interaction exist to make people cold and selfish and make them submissive to abuse more than it does make them resistant to it. Not to mention the pure dehumanization and drugging of the neurodivergent community, and the internalized bigotry they've forced the majority of us to live with.

The entire system of psychology was made to make people submissive to capitalism, pathologize ways of being that don't align with capitalism, and to make people think in individualist ways that ignore systemic issues. Yes, there are some good ones who break from this mode of being, but as a whole the current system of psychology is a terrible force in the world.

seeking validation from psychiatry will only end up in hurt. your mental health and neurodivergency is real and important just by you experiencing it. you do not need the approval of the system that pretends to help you by putting conditions on your rights and acting as if they're the authority on your own life. you are allowed to exist just as you are, and there will always be other disabled people out there who understand how you feel. there are people out there who know what you're going through, see it's importance, and will not hurt you. there is an entire community of people cheering you on, even if you haven't found them yet.
