Reminder for those shipping mail within, or to, Canada: Canada Post has been on strike since November 15 and is still on strike. No mail is being delivered or processed.
The United States Postal Service has suspended mail to Canada, meaning packages are either being returned to sender or are stuck in limbo at USPS facilities.
UPS and Purolator are struggling with the backlog and halting some mail processing.
It seems DHL and Fedex are still operational, at least at the time of this post, but ofc they're going to be vastly busier than usual.

YOU GET MEEEE LIKE YES THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I HAD JN MIND FOR MAIL ORDER KONIG TOO 😩😩 and the dialogue was too good not to add, so thank you sm ☕️ anon!! <33
Reader x mail-order soldier könig
You weren’t proud of the choices that led to this.
In your defense, when your unhinged, narcissistic ex-fiancé decided to take “I can do better” as a personal threat and “leave me alone” as a flirtation, your options shrank quickly. Police were useless, restraining orders were suggestions, and the panic room catalog had a three-month shipping delay you really couldn’t afford at the moment.
So you did what any desperate, slightly unhinged person with Wi-Fi and a bottle of wine would do at 2AM: you shopped online.
Not for a therapist- you didn’t like being robbed more than once per month- and not for new locks, and not even for a machete and a training montage or karate lessons.
You shopped for a bodyguard. And not just any bodyguard- mail-order, military-grade, possibly-black-ops (you didn’t know exactly what that meant, but you knew black belts were the strongest in karate so it probably applied here too) bodyguard. Because you weren’t looking for subtle; yoh were looking for make him cry and question his choices.
The site was slick, you could admit. Black and red and sleek fonts, the kind of design that screamed we definitely waterboard people but make it ✨fashion✨. The site also billed itself as Elite Protection Services: Discreet, Deadly, Dependable. It might as well have been Bodyguards R Us. You scrolled past the profiles like you were picking out a toaster.
“Ex-Interpol, trained in Systema, bilingual in seven languages.”
Nope. Too smug-looking. Kinda reminded you of Johnny Bravo but without the appeal.
“Specializes in anti-stalking protocols. Former MMA champion.”
Too pretty. Psycho ex would take that as a challenge.
You scrolled past endless profiles: more ex-SEALs, ex-spies, people who listed training styles like they were personality traits. Everyone looked like they were auditioning for a movie about stopping nuclear threats with emotional damage and well-fitted tactical pants.
Until you found him.
KÖNIG.
That was it; no last name, no smiling profile pic. Just one blurry photo that looked like it was taken from a security feed during the purge. A massive man mid-stride, face obscured by a tattered executioner’s hood (does he like cosplay?), one arm casually holding what was either a high-powered sniper rifle or a small medieval ballista. Just the quiet threat of do not attempt to engage unless you are fireproof and have no dreams… and hopefully have a will.
His bio was just as minimal as his name, but thankfully not bolded and capitalized like he was the living version You-Know-Who: Former special forces. Classified background. Urban combat. High-threat asset protection. Temperament: Reserved. Languages: German, English. Hobbies: [Redacted]
And honestly? He was perfect.
You hit “Hire” with all the solemnity of pulling a lever on a guillotine.
The meeting, then, was scheduled at a “neutral location” (aka: a converted warehouse that probably used to be a meth lab but now boasted folding chairs and bulletproof windows and claimed to be state-of-the-arts just). You were told to wear neutral colors and avoid sudden movements like he was a military contractor-slash-deer.
He was lucky you didn’t have a driving license or car yet.
The facilitator, woman named Claire who radiated HR department energy and quiet terror, greeted you with a nervous clipboard smile.
“Please remain calm during the introduction process,” she said, like she expected you to run. Like he was a bull and she forgot to tell you not to wear red even though you were very sure bulls didn’t actually get bothered by the color. “Sometimes clients are… startled.”
You waved her off; you were not going to be startled. You were in charge. You were the employer. You were cool and rational. You were the man-
And then the door opened, and he walked in.
It wasn’t so much a walk as a tectonic shift, honestly. The lights dimmed- or maybe your brain flickered like a dying flashlight trying to process the sheer volume of the man now in the room with you because the damn profile and profile pictures absolutely did him no justice at all.
Easily built like a walking mini-cathedral, every step he took echoed with the weight of someone who didn’t walk so much as advance steadily like a cursed forest creature with war crimes on his résumé.
The hood was real, by the way. Not a vibe, not a metaphor, not a cosplay prop. A literal ragged executioner’s hood, like someone had looted a plague doctor’s wardrobe and decided to lean in (actually… were those shirt sleeves-)
Anyways, he said nothing, and so you stared with your mouth half-open and your neck craned and your buffering. There was a pause, the kind of silence that usually precedes a boss fight or a marriage proposal but without the music for both, and you weren’t sure which direction this was going to go.
Claire cleared her throat with the delicacy of someone trying not to disturb a sleeping lion.
“Well, if you’re not feeling a connection, we can always-“
“Don’t you dare.”
It came out louder than intended and far more desperate than you’s ever hoped anyone would hear you. You pointed at König like someone calling dibs on a rare Pokémon, and almost gave yourself a whiplash from how quickly you turned your head to glare at her.
“He’s perfect. Get your own!”
Claire blinked and König didn’t move. But you could feel him blinking behind the hood, probably wondering what, exactly, he had just been spiritually adopted into.
There was another pause.
König tilted his head, then slight nod that was just enough to suggest acknowledgment… or possibly pity. You’d need to peer into his eyes and make him do different expressions so you’d understand what he was thinking behind that hood, because you weren’t sure if his nod meant I accept this job, please never yell again, or you are an unhinged rat and I respect that, but either way: he was yours now.
You turned back to Claire with all the confidence of someone who had definitely just bought an armored tank off Craigslist.
“Where do I sign?”
Claire, likewise, slowly handed you the paperwork like she was passing off custody of a weapon of mass destruction. Something like an armored tank bought off Craigslist.
“…Please don’t antagonize him.”
“I would never,” you replied, already mentally redecorating your apartment to accommodate a seven-foot medieval cryptid with probably boundary issues. You couldn’t imagine anyone with those backgrounds not coming with built-in issues unless they were rich and old.
König, for his part, said nothing. Just stood there, looming like an ancient ruin that had wandered into a security job. But you swore- when you weren’t looking directly at him- you caught the faintest rise in his shoulders. Like a chuckle.
Or maybe a sigh.
Either way, you’d take it; you had a human mountain now. And your ex?
Was going to shit bricks and you’d be there to film and enjoy every. single. second. of it.
“C’mon, big boy,” you grinned at him, taking one of his big hands and tugging uselessly. “We have so much to do!”

You, US Citizen, have the right to know what your government is doing (including DOGE - formerly known as the US Digital Service and which surprise! isn't listed as one of the agencies on FOIA.gov but the USDS website can still be accessed here: https://www.usds.gov/contact-us)
If the information you want is not publicly available, you can submit a FOIA request to the agency’s FOIA Office.  The request simply must be in writing and reasonably describe the records you seek.  Most federal agencies now accept FOIA requests electronically, including by web form, e-mail or fax.  See the list of federal agencies for details about how to make a request to each agency and any specific requirements for seeking certain records.
Is there a special form I have to use to make a FOIA request?
There is no specific form that must be used to make a request.
What can I ask for under the FOIA?
A FOIA request can be made for any agency record. You can also specify the format in which you wish to receive the records (for example, printed or electronic form). The FOIA does not require agencies to create new records or to conduct research, analyze data, or answer questions when responding to requests.
How long will it take before I get a response?
Agencies typically process requests in the order of receipt. The time it takes to respond to a request will vary depending on the complexity of the request and any backlog of requests already pending at the agency. A simple request can be processed faster by the agency than one that is complex. Simple requests are typically more targeted and seek fewer pages of records. Complex requests typically seek a high volume of material or require additional steps to process such as the need to search for records in multiple locations. The agency’s FOIA Requester Service Center is available to assist you with any questions about the status of your request or any steps you can take to receive a quicker response.
CREW and CLC are focusing on DOGE and transparency, and maybe you should check out what they have to say and what they're doing.

Reader brushing anaxas hair? :))
𐙚 𓏵𓏵𓏵 𐙚 𝐡𝐚𝐢𝐫 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 | amphoreus men x gender neutral reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media
love mail — amphronsksns men have u brush their hair YESS PERIOD...!!!! no layout posts for this trip, i miss my colors 😞 i'm so tired but i started this in the plane so j wanna finish !!11! characters in order: anaxa, mydei, phainon
Tumblr media Tumblr media
anaxa's a bit uneasy when you initially offer, the intimacy and time it takes has him a bit hesitant. it's not that he's afraid of the idea, but moments like these were robbed from him when his family was taken away. to be cared for was something foreign, so when he undid his ponytail and his back turned to you — he shudders upon first contact.
call him dramatic, he doesn't care. but he's trying not to shake as your fingers and comb brush through his green locks, noticing your extra attention to be soft. and it isn't as if anaxa is an unkept man; he has to make appearances as a teacher to his students, but this is so different. unlike the times where he just brushes through without much thought, probably pulling some hair out in the process, you were the opposite. at each tangle is met with gentle strokes of your brush and he can't help but grow to love the feeling.
afterwards, he began to ask you to brush his hair for him before going to the academy. doesn't care if he's late if it's only by a couple of minutes, he just wants to feel your attention and tenderness for something as simple as hair brushing.
Tumblr media
i imagine mydei's hair to be a bit of an intentional mess. he keeps it a little ruffled up since he likes the look it gives him, but when you offer to brush and braid, he accepts kindly. after all, who wouldn't want to be doted on in any way by their lover?
fresh out the shower, towel around his waist and a couple of hairties sprawled out on your vanity table. mydei plays nice the whole time, shakes his head to be an asshole once and gets water everywhere. for the rest of the process, he's obedient, thank goodness. he seemed to find great joy in the act of service, melting at the touch of you drying his hair and then beginning to brush.
makes a mental note to tell you that he'd love for you to experiment different hairstyles on him, but you do the signature braid and tie it with a ribbon. does he make a fuss? no. of course not. urges you to put one around his neck too so people know he's taken, but you know he has to still play the part of a warrior. a ribbon won't.. help that. though he wasn't joking. he'd walk around PROUDLY with a ribbon of your signature color.
gives you kisses as a thanks, appreciates the compliments of looking a little neater because he knows it's cause of you :p
Tumblr media
i can see phainon to be the type to have his hair care down to the tea. specific shampoo and conditioner, uses hair masks and oils, takes time to blowdry.. but he decides to forget all of that when he steps out of the shower and you don't grovel at the sight of him shirtless (he's being dramatic)..
decides to catch your attention another way, asking you to brush his hair for him. 'my arms are tired' is his excuse, a poor one, but you humor him.
now he's got his head trapped inbetween your thighs, his back pressed against the bedside and you're sat on the bed itself. your retelling of your day is a little bit incoherent in phainon's ears.. too busy being headlocked and cared for. he ACHES for moments like this.. utterly yours and not having to worry about anything else.
his peace is ultimately disturbed by the sudden tug of his hair. remembers it's not him handling his hair, and even if he flinches from the small tugs.. he still enjoys himself. tells you that you're doing amazing, generally just encouraging you even if his eye is twitching from the strokes. overall, doesn't ALWAYS let you handle his hair... but on days where he isn't busy, would love for you to take the lead.

Project 2025: The MAGA Plan to Take Your Freedom
A second Trump term would be more dangerous than the first — in part because of something called Project 2025, a plan to extend Trump’s grip into every part of your life.
Trump’s gross incompetence in his first term wasn’t all bad. It kept some of his most extreme goals out of reach. That’s why his inner circle, including more than 20 officials from his first term, have written a step-by-step playbook to make a second term brutally efficient.
At nearly a thousand pages, it’s longer than most Stephen King novels, and a lot scarier. The Associated Press wasn’t kidding when they called it “a plan to dismantle the US government and replace it with Trump’s vision,”
Project 2025 is a road map to ban abortion, give greedy corporate oligarchs everything they want, and strip Americans of our most basic freedoms — all without needing any support from Congress.
There’s more to it than I can get into, but here are three things I want you to know.
#1 How would Project 2025 work?
Every nonpartisan government agency would be turned into an arm of the MAGA agenda.
Some of the worst things Trump reportedly tried to do as president — like having the military  shoot protesters or seize voting machines to overturn the election  — were only stopped because sensible leaders in the military or the professional civil service refused to go along with it.
In a second term, there would be no sensible leaders in the military or professional civil service because Trump would fire anyone more loyal to the Constitution than to him.
Trump started the process in October 2020 with an executive order that would have let him fire tens of thousands of civil servants and replace them with MAGA henchmen. I’m talking about traditionally non-political positions, like scientists at scientific agencies and accountants at the IRS.
Trump could not act on the executive order then because he lost the election. If he wins now, he’s pledged to pick up where he left off and go further…
TRUMP: …making every executive branch employee fireable by the President of the United States.
#2 Project 2025 is about controlling Americans’ lives & bodies
Restricting abortion is such a big part of Project 2025 that the word “abortion” appears 198 times in the plan.
Trump largely made good on his campaign promise to ban abortion.
Thanks to Trump’s Supreme Court justices, 1 in 3 American women of childbearing age live in states with abortion bans. Project 2025 would make that even worse, without needing new laws from Congress.
Page 458 of the playbook calls for a MAGA-controlled FDA to reject medical science and reverse approval of the medications used in 63% of all abortions, effectively banning them.
Page 455 plans “abortion surveillance” and the creation of a registry that could put people who cross state lines to get an abortion at risk of prosecution.
Another way around Congress is to enforce arcane laws that are still technically on the books. Page 562 plans for a MAGA-controlled Justice Department to enforce the Comstock Act of 1873, which bans the mailing of “anything designed, adapted, or intended for producing abortion.” This could be used to block the shipment of any medications or medical instruments needed for abortions.
But Project 2025’s control of American families goes even further. It plans for government agencies to define life as beginning at conception — a position at odds with the process used for in vitro fertilization.
Page 451 declares that “Families comprised of a married mother, father, and their children are the foundation of a well-ordered nation and healthy society,” thereby stigmatizing single parents, same-sex couples, unmarried coparents, and childless couples.
Project 2025 even takes a stand against adoption, declaring on p. 489 that “all children have a right to be raised by the men and women who conceived them.”
#3 Project 2025 would turn America into a police state.
Maybe you live in a blue city or state, where you think plans like arresting teachers and librarians over banned books (which is on p. 5) could never happen. Well, guess again.
Trump has said one of the big things he’d do differently in a second term is override mayors and governors to take over local law enforcement.
Page 553 lays out how to do this, and even plans for Trump’s Justice Department to prosecute district attorneys he disagrees with.
Immigration enforcement is to be conducted like a war, with the military deployed within the U.S., and millions of undocumented immigrants rounded up and placed into newly constructed holding camps. This is outlined starting on p. 139.
Members of the Project 2025 team also reportedly told the Washington Post about plans to invoke the Insurrection Act to deploy the military against anti-Trump protests.
There is much more to Project 2025. There are more than a hundred pages of anti-environmental policies that would help Trump make good on what he reportedly promised to do for oil executives if they contribute a billion dollars to his reelection. It would make drilling and mining a top national priority while killing clean energy projects, barring the EPA from regulating carbon emissions, and replacing all government climate scientists with climate deniers.
There are even cartoonishly cruel plans like slaughtering wild horses. Yes, that’s really in there on p. 528.
I thought I understood the stakes of this election, but reading this plan… Well, it gave me chills. If Trump gets the chance to put this plan into place, he will. The country it would turn America into would be hard for any of us to recognize.

Wishing strength to the sword arms at the Canadian Union of Postal Workers, who are striking for better wages and working conditions at Canada Post. That's our national mail service, which is currently shut down - mail across Canada is not being collected, processed, or delivered until an agreement is reached.
Postal workers do hard and invaluable work that is the backbone of our economy, and also my business. The union are fighting for a lot of things, from rest and meals during the workday to gender-affirming care in their insurance package.
This means I'm writing my MP to encourage the government and Canada Post to find resolution through compromise, not force and legislation.
I apologize to my customers for any delays or expenses that happen while this dispute drags on. I'll do my best to find alternate mail carriers and let you know what's going on. This will affect orders of embroidery patterns and sewing tools, but print-on-demand items like mugs, dresses, or umbrellas should still work smoothly.

hey I love your work!! you seem like such a gorgeous, thoughtful person.
I had a question, and you seem trustworthy—Cas have you seen the new ao3 privacy policy? the one with another checkbox? what’s that about? I’m a little scared especially with recent events and the actual documentation seems a little vague. what do you think? I live in the states
I have, and I come armed with research!
For those of you who don't know, the new policy states:
By checking this box, you consent to the processing of your personal data in the United States and other jurisdictions in connection with our provision of AO3 and its related services to you. You acknowledge that the data privacy laws of such jurisdictions may differ from those provided in your jurisdiction. For more information about how your personal data will be processed, please refer to our Privacy Policy.
To translate, this means you are consenting to your personal information (IE: e-mail address and IP address) being shared according to US privacy laws, not the laws of whatever country you live in or happen to currently be reading from. This is because AO3 is US-based.
This sounds scary.
However, if you delve deeper into AO3 privacy policies, it says:
We may share Personal Information if we:
are legally compelled to do so;
have a good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on the OTW; or
are cooperating with law enforcement authorities.
We will cooperate with all investigations conducted by law enforcement authorities within the United States when legally required to do so. Cooperation with law enforcement authorities from other countries and cooperation when it is not legally required are at our sole discretion. Our discretion looks favorably on freedom and justice, and unfavorably on oppression and violence.
Basically this means they'll share your info if they're told to by law enforcement, which has ALWAYS been a law. This isn't a change. I think they just added this to say "Hey, remember if you live outside the US, just know that we as a website have to comply with US-based laws because we live here, and things suck here right now!"
The last part of their statement is also really telling. The creators of ao3 believe in free expression and are not trying to get you in trouble or censor your work. You're not going to get in trouble for posting/reading gay fanfics. It's not illegal to do so. (If that changes, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it).
I think the most important thing now is to advocate for the necessity of websites like ao3, because some people don't like websites like that. I think this shows that there will be probably more opponents to websites like this in the future. But I don't think the FBI is going to come and knock on the doors of everyone who reads bedtime stories on ao3.
Honestly, Ao3 is more transparent about this info than most people. all websites can share any personal info you put in if legally compelled to do so.

A Good Companion Doll
There are many kinds of doll, as there are many kinds of Purpose for them. It would be quite the labyrinthine task to name every type, but if we were to boil them down to three base categories, we could classify most doll types under the following:
Service Doll
Combat Doll
Companion Doll
Service dolls are often for domestic or commercial use. Their job is to complete a task, and be polite and pretty while doing it. This, much like the other descriptions for today, is an incredibly broad simplification, but for our purposes, it is sufficient. These dolls are your cooks, maids, landscapers, mechanics, delivery workers, and many other things. There are some Purposes for Service Doll subsets which would be unnecessary and inappropriate to name, but much like all dolls who fulfill their Purpose, we can consider them from an outside perspective to be Good Dolls.
Combat dolls are implemented into military and security roles. Their job is either to eliminate or protect. The Purpose of a combat doll tends to be quite straightforward, as long as they're properly commanded by a good Witch/Miss/Handler. Combat dolls come in a diverse range of shapes, sizes, and constructions, but their Purpose tends to remain the same. Just like Service dolls, all who fulfill their Purpose, we can also consider Good Dolls.
Companion dolls occupy a space outside a singular implementation for use. They are often used for service, and sometimes used for combat, but as the category seems to suggest, they are intended first and foremost for companionship, and the tasks that may come along with it. Whether you need a doll to reciprocate affection, or one to entertain your guests, a companion doll may be suitable for you. These dolls can often be fickle, however, and without a clearly defined Purpose, need reassurance when they are in fact, Good Dolls.
"This one is a companion doll, Miss. B-but it's not a Good Doll..." The ball jointed hands of the companion doll having just read the pamphlet that came in its box fall to the soft, frilly apron of its maid dress.
The woman who's opened the box for the newly refurbished synthetic confidante gently slips the paper out from between its fingers, weaving her hands between them instead, "Surely that can't be, sweetie. I'm sure you're a perfectly fine doll!"
The doll shakes its head suddenly in response, "Its defined characteristics for itself being a Good Doll are, service to its Miss, refusal of hostility to all classified as Entities, and unconditional love to all Entities it cares about!"
The woman looks puzzled at the response from her new companion, "But you've been sweet so far... The chats we had before they mailed you to me seemed to suggest to me that you're a Good Doll!"
"It hurt someone, Miss... The one it believed it was going to be with forever. Its love is meant to be unconditional, how could it forget? It couldn't be romantic love anymore, but that shouldn't have made it conditional..." The doll's expression is downcast, and full of sorrow.
The woman leans in and wraps her arms around the doll, "You still care about this person, yes?"
"It does, Miss..." The doll's voice rings out quietly, nearly inaudibly, but still there. She picks her doll up and allows it to lean back in her arms, now nearly cradling it, "Then you're still capable of loving them, aren't you?"
"It... It is, Miss! And it will. It does, okay, this one does!" The doll stammers as it processes the message its new Miss is trying to send it, as its statement ends in mild excitement.
The Miss smiles as she looks into her dolls eyes, "Good Doll."
The companion doll leans up and hugs its Miss tightly around her shoulders, happy to have received this reassurance. The Miss returns the gesture in kind, tightening her grip around it as well. She's read the pamphlet as well, and knows how much her doll needs it. She needs to make sure her companion doll knows that it's a Good Doll.
"Thank you, Miss. A-and it loves you, too..."
