Growing your own food is a luxury and blessing to human kind. Farmers are experts. And as we get closer to nature and feel like to know real details and do our bit, we simplify living. I have been growing simple little plants in small space I have in the house. From tomatoes to basil to turmeric to Coriander to Mint, it gives immense amount of happiness to see a plant grow and carry fruits. One person inspires other. And growing mint was taught to me by @univini79 . Super easy it is. But I didn't know about it. - When you bring Mint from Market, sow the sticks in pot which is little fresh and beest if has roots. - Keep the mud wet. Becoming a person who values Nature and every part of it, has been because of my family members. Since Childhood I was taught how to take care of plants and grow them in house, even though we had very little space, yet managed. I was taught how animals are important for the food cycle and rest science teachers in school did. I believe the best thing which could happen to me is to have this power of imagination, which I can say I was born with. This imagination was about places, animals, plants and any and everything natural. It still is. And penguin's 🐧 one part of it, which to me was just an imagination till I landed in Antarctica. . . The love , charm and closeness it gave me are etched on my heart forever. Even if I would have not seen them in real, my love would have been there at some corner of the heart. . On 25th April, the world celebrates Penguin 🐧 Day to create awareness about this wonderful curious creature and its diminishing population due to global warming. . While going through the moments I have lived about 3 years ago, this picture caught my attention. This rubber boat is called Zodiac, which was a mode of transport between the ship and the continent/ island landings. It is lightweight inflated with gas. We were told on day 1 about the risk of being on a Zodiac. Well about the picture... On the left is Manyi Wang - a super cute teen from China, always laughing and curious and on right is one of my best buddies from Brazil Bruno - A candid person with further lucid thoughts and high aspirations- Both waving for the click to Afaq Giri . And me with Hands open and at the level of my face ,here it looks like as if I am praying - I was unaware of the click. The real thing was I was observing and busy in feeling the ecstasy of snow fall - that each flake which was showered on us and was settling on my gloves was a site for me not less than a day in a wonderland. That day I experienced the first snowfall of my life! Monday morning like this! 🍅♥️ 🌿 From growing a tomato plant in my little kitchen garden to having the flower and seeing in turning into a fruit, and then reluctantly plucking it and keeping it in the refrigerator for good 5 days to negotiating with self if at all it should be eaten, I have come a long way with the tomato. See the beauty when cut. I had the best organic , homegrown tomato ever. And the curry leaves are too home grown and amazing in taste. These ingredients in the pic led to my breakfast as Upma today 😋. And it's yummiest self made one.
