You suggested the idea of having no sex or any kind of act for a month. You two have been at it pretty much every day, sometimes many times during the day, so it came as the perfect idea.

You told him that it would make him want you more and vice versa. 

What you forgot is that Simon could be very patient. 

So much so, that he even said "Only a month?" before he shrugged and moved on.

What none of you expected is that the sexual tension and frustration would be too much to bear.

On day 27, he would be without a shirt and you would physically shake.

On day 28, you would wear a pair of jeans that just makes your ass look amazing, making him take a cold shower immediately.

On day 30, both of you had enough and you couldn't take it anymore.

To say you two destroyed each other's clothes would be a nice thing to say.

He never pounded you as hard as he did on that day. He never came as hard or as much as he did on that day.

It was actually his idea, he heard from Simon that he and his wife were doing this challenge and Johnny wanted to try it out. 

You agreed, you really thought both of you had enough self-restraint to survive.

And in the beginning, it was okay. It seemed like you were doing good.

Until you weren't.

By the end of the month, you really wanted to at least take care of the 'problem' yourself.

But you couldn't.

As for Johnny, he was surprisingly well. He distracted himself and did many things around the house.

He even finished the porch that he started months before. He cleaned the garden and even began to build a new area in the garden for your dogs.

The fact that you didn't have sex, resulted in a very clean house.

But you both made it, and once the month ended, you two were at it again. 

The garden for the dogs? Forgotten.

But at least you both very finally satisfied again.

your statement was barely above a murmur, voice muffled against his skin as you cuddled further into him. you could still feel the linger warmth on his skin from the everlasting daylight of the celestial realm, still smell the pleasant aroma that wafted through the heavenly fields on his clothes. the days stretched endlessly while your angel was away on business, but finally, finally, simeon had returned.

"i missed you too, love," he cooed, voice low and soft, endlessly fond for you and only you. "although, i must admit, if this is how you'll greet me when i return, maybe i'll find more reasons to travel to the celestial realm..."

"you wouldn't dare."

"is that so?"

"simeon..." you whined-- an effective warning not to toy with you, apparently, because the angel laughed.

"i'm only kidding. you know i don't like when we're apart."

you cuddled closer into his arms, practically smothering him under your weight to dispel any future fantasies of him leaving you like that again. he welcomed your protests with open arms-- literally-- strong arm wrapped around your waist while the other rubbed soothing circles into your back.

the two of you savored the silence, your intertwined limbs and synched breathing becoming the only thing that mattered that evening. your heart is full. your angel has returned. there were stories to be shared about his duties and the adventures you went on waiting for his return. those could wait. right now, all you wanted was to feel his body on yours, feel his heart beat under your fingertips again-- to remind him what will always be waiting for him back home.

it's go time.

when you open your eyes for the first time on that fateful morning, you felt like a kid on christmas. fuzzy socks helped you maximize your speed as you rushed through your morning routine. impatient hands began to multitask for you, smearing face wash and squeezing colorful toothpaste tubes to get you ready faster.

what exactly was so exciting today? today was, finally, the day that diavolo's business trip to the human world had come to an end. him and lucifer had been gone for the past week, leaving the castle quiet and your life dull.

more importantly, though: barbatos was arriving home today.

your beloved demon would be back, soon, and you were already running late. you scrambled through the house of lamentation and out the front door in record time. you'd become an expert by now at dodging the brother's interrogations, especially when it came to all the times you'd disappear to the demon castle to spend time with barbatos.

the staff of the castle knew you well. you were given the green light to loiter about, anxiously wringing your hands together in anticipation of their arrival. so when a portal finally opened in the main hall, you were there first, eyes wide, hoping to see the familiar faces you loved.

and, of course, you did. lord diavolo entered first, greeting you jovially, followed by a tired lucifer, with barbatos bringing up the rear and closing the portal behind them. you waited. patiently, in your opinion, but the slight smirk on lucifer's face made it clear you were a little too eager for the butler's attention.

finally, barbatos found his way to yourself, momentarily free of his responsibilities. his gaze was soft, focused only on you, green eyes drifting over your form like it had been too long since he'd last seen it.

"mc--" he said evenly, taking your hand in his, leaning over to press a kiss to your knuckles. he held your gaze as he straightened up-- and your hand, for a few extra moments, before letting it gently slip from his grasp.

Simple Surprises

You trudge through the snow, trying your best to move quickly but not fall on your ass. Why did Wilbur have to live next to the iciest sidewalk in the whole world? All you wanted to do was surprise your boyfriend, not put your life on the line.

Really, your mistake was not taking the Uber all the way to his flat. But it was Christmas eve, meaning even these roads were packed. You thought it'd be easier if you walked, but apparently not.

The snow was pretty, though. Glistening white, perfectly pristine. It came just in time for a white Christmas.

Carefully triple-checking the address, you finally reach the building Wilbur lives in. Assuming the address isn't wrong, and he didn't move within the last few days. God, why were you so nervous?

Although your relationship with Wilbur was long-distance, you often planned to meet up. When he had asked if you wanted to come over for Christmas with him, you had made some bullshit excuse about not being able to. All so you could turn the tables on him and surprise him.

Now that you're actually here though, you can't help but think this was a bad idea. What if he wasn't even at home? What if he had made different plans for Christmas?

No, you had literally talked to him earlier and he told you he wasn't doing anything. In fact, he planned to watch Captain America at Tommy's request! You told him you were going out with friends to cover your tracks, and he didn't doubt a word.

Marching up to his door, so familiar for something you've only really seen a few times, you hesitate. Not out of anxiety or irrational fear, but excitement. Spending Christmas with Wilbur would be a blast, and you can't wait to see his reaction to you being here.

With that in mind, you knock thrice and wait.

"Hang on!" You hear his voice from somewhere inside, and you smile to yourself.

Something crashes inside, startling you, but the door is flung open to reveal a wide-eyed Wilbur. If you had to wager a guess, he just ran across his flat.

"Sorry, I-" He cuts himself off, gaping at you.

"Nothing to be sorry about. Actually, I think I might've gotten the wrong door?"

"Like hell you did."

He tugs you into him, crashing his lips against yours. You laugh into the kiss, looping your arms around his neck. It's so nice to be here with him, feeling a solid body instead of having to stare at a video call.

"You told me you were busy." Wilbur accuses you once he stops kissing you. He doesn't let you go further than an arm's length though.

"I might've lied, but it was for the greater good. I wanted to surprise you!"

"I'm fucking surprised. I love you. How long are you here for?"

"Just a week." It was the longest you could get away from home, and you're already wishing it was more.

"A week's better than nothing." He assures you, "And I know exactly what to do first!"

"Oh yeah?"

You let him tug you to his couch, reveling in how large his smile is. You've missed this. Hell, you've missed him.

His Tv is paused on a movie, and he doesn't hesitate to pull you down onto the couch with him. Within seconds he's gone full octopus mode, pressing your bodies together to maximize physical contact.

"Cuddling?" You ask, thankful you slipped off your shoes at the door.

You're already melting, muscles relaxing. He's warm, a stark contrast to the winds and snow outside.

"You're here for Christmas, right?" He asks quietly, not yet resuming the movie.

"Of course."

"Good. I almost bought a train ticket to see you, plans be damned."

"Wil!"

"But I'm glad you're here."

"Me too."

He keeps staring at you with the same dopey expression on his face, and you stare back for a few seconds before laughing.

"Are you going to resume the movie?" You ask.

"What?"

"The movie."

"Oh, yeah, yeah. Just admiring you first."

He presses another kiss to your lips before clicking play.

It makes my heart soft for Arthur to treat Zee so gently not because she's his daughter but because she's a woman in a time where it was particularly awful to be a woman. He tried his best to respect her as a person and as his child without making her feel she's 'just' a woman. I'm curious how Lord Father would react to some poor bastard coming to ask him permission to court his daughter. I imagine it's that best laugh he's had in a long time, straight up doubled-over with tears in his eyes. Let's him know he'd have a better chance asking her directly but considering this start he's going to have a hell of a time. To quote Thedore Roosevelt: "I can either run the country or I can attend to Alice, but I cannot possibly do both."

ALL of this. It's not like the man isn't sexist because he is, but in a way that isn't purely Victorian. He's lived a long life; the first British person we know much about is Boadicea. He is the last son of a goddess who ruled with blood, sacrifice, fear and cunning. Brighid and he will have a testy relationship, but she was the high-status centre of the Celtic Christianity he will draw upon again and again. England's wealth before the empire was caught up in cloth. Women's work created him, and he knows that. As a child in the world of late antiquity, he sat at his mother's and Brighid's feet as they worked the loom. Disrespecting women's work disrespects most of his own history. Plus, if you read Anglo-Saxon poetry, there are these tantalizing hints that women's work was seen as more important to civilization than men's. He isn't a fantastic father, but he does view her as a person if nothing else. The sheer amount of regnant queens he's had.

And I do feel like he and Zee did direct any potential suiters to him first because very late Victorian/Early Edwardian courtship and society meant that his rejections on her behalf would pull any social blame of her being a bit haughty or potentially deviant and redirect it to him where it was fine. After all, a daughter's marriage is still much the father's prerogative. It was socially acceptable for her to remain unmarried as widowed men or even just men fond of their daughters often gave them the choice of staying home if they so wished. It could be a better setup, but it maximizes her freedom. Answering a question about why she is unwed with "because I'm a lesbian and I don't bloody want to be" is unacceptable and degenerate. But "Oh, I could never leave my poor dear Papa; he utterly depends on me" makes her ultra respectable and dutiful even if she hasn't seen the old fart since Christmas. It's also a way for Arthur to keep an eye on her. If people are writing to him about courting Dearest Eleanor, it's intel.

But the first time it happened? Oh, good lord, the man lost his absolute shit. Partially because she's his baby and just absolutely not, that's his last child. She's not even a century old; he does not care. She is a teenager now she is a baby. Two, the audacity some of these potatoes have. Whenever Zee puts effort into playing the part of being the beautiful young socialite in just the prettiest clothes, putting on her best manners, and utilizing all that intelligence for social purposes, he's got a line out the door. When Zee is cranky with him, she puts on a particularly flattering blue or green dress and goes to a dinner party and just fucks up the old man's week lmao. She goes on a social campaign to get her way about something, and Matt might end up taking a nap in a coffin on the dining room table to shut it all down if he's particularly irate with her because no one can come courting to a house in mourning lol. But man yeah, there is a reason her slightly anti-social ass wears so much mourning black to keep off.

Saw that post about Transformer games and then it hit me: Animal Crossing but make it Transformers. You are a regular Transformer given an assignment by Optimus Prime to rebuild this small city. You need to build a general store, a city hall, a museum, clinic, a library, a cafe, a post office, a shrine to the 13 Primes, and a few houses to gain some new neighbors. Oh yeah, and the neighbors are from a lot of different continuities and alliances, from Maximals to Predacons to Decepticons to Autobots, etc. Sometimes you'll have to make furniture to bring in new Transformers to your town, ie maybe you make a terrarium for Botanica or a chainsaw for Pharma or a DJ turn table for Soundwave. The different buildings you create will be staffed by certain Transformers: Ratchet takes over the clinic of course, Codexa takes over the library, etc. Every week or so you get a visitor to the island selling wares, like Swindle coming over with computer parts, or Thundercracker coming over with books you can give to the library. You can add in plants and mechanimals, even get a pet and celebrate different holidays (decorate your town for Halloween and Christmas, etc). Some of the Transformers will give you errands to complete, the cafe will ask you for ingredients and energon goodie recipes, the museum will ask for specimens and art and sometimes human artefacts, and the shrine will ask for some upkeep now and again.

Just something I thought up of, I'm generally intrigued why this isn't a thing but I guess Transformer video games got to be about war and fighting. Maybe it would be nice to just set up a town and exchange recipes with a Transformer barista and raise a few sheepitron.

Fuck it, maybe I'll just turn into a grandma before I turn 30. I already sew and embroider, i picked up crochet, maybe I'll get into knitting. Might as well start collecting depression glass! None of these pieces match but they're all pink and thats what matters

I've actually started kinda having fun identifying depression glass patterns and learning the history and what's rare and all that. The platter is Mayfair, the two teacups on the right are Normandie, and the one teacup on the left is Cherry Blossom. The cherry blossom cup may be a reproduction (unsure) but it's pretty and sparks joy so i don't care too much if it's a true antique. (Plus reproductions were already being made in 1970 so it could be a 50 year old fake lol)

I also got my mom a set of depression glass sherbet cups in Florentine #1, which are uranium glass so they glow under blacklight. I've already packed them up to give her for Christmas but here they are on the shelf at my favorite antique shop. ($5 apiece is really cheap for depression glass - I got her a set of 4 for only $20!)

I love maximalism and i want to have a house full of pretty shiny things even if right now im in an apartment with Landlord White walls. I find it kind of comforting that depression glass was originally made in such high quantities because poor people during the great depression wanted something pretty and fancy for their homes without having to spend a lot of money, and now I'm buying antique depression glass for the exact same reason!

Another defining characteristic about her would be the color pink being incorporated into every single aspect of her life in almost a childish manner.

Monique’s early childhood was a rough start for her. At the time, her father was still dealing with the loss of his wife/her mother as well as being a dope boy on the corner trying to bring in a steady income for his new born daughter. Initially, they struggled, living in the projects, surviving off of food stamps and a necessity-only lifestyle. Despite that, Michael always made sure Monique never wanted for anything. So, the transition from the projects to their penthouse in Brooklyn in her late adolescent years was somewhat smooth for her.

What is your earliest memory?

Monique’s earliest memory would be opening presents on Christmas at Sakari’s house, where she celebrated with both Sakari and Josiah’s family. Her father had just gifted her a Barbie DreamHouse, which sparked up her love for the doll/franchise.

How much schooling have you had?

Monique has been in school her entire life up until now, the highest point she reached being her B.S in Business and B.A Communication.

Did you enjoy school?

The only aspect Monique enjoyed about school was meeting up with her friends, or hanging out with them afterwards. She viewed school as mandatory and experienced a lot of pressure from her father to be a straight A/B+ student throughout her years in school.

Monique’s father was her biggest role model. As well as Josiah. She also considered Barbie a role model to her, in the sense that she was perfect, very feminine, had it all, and could be whatever she wanted.

Monique got along with her dad very well, he was one of her best friends up until she reached high school. Which is when she started to take note of how overbearing, overprotective, controlling, and stubborn he was, which ultimately led her down the path of deceit and dishonesty.

Monique wanted to be rich.

As a young girl, Monique loved gymnastics, exploring the city and watching classic movies with her dad.

The most evil thing a human being could do is maliciously harm the harmless.

To Monique, having a successful life is accomplishing what they want/set their mind on and acquiring wealth while doing so.

Monique is usually very honest with how she feels or thinks, especially if she feels like she has the right to be or is justified in her thought process. If she has any doubts in her mind, she’ll keep it to herself and deliberate amongst her trusted friends and loved ones before communicating it.

Monique is biased & prejudice against men, in general.

Monique absolutely refuses to do anything that 100% comprises her self-respect or whatever she considers beneath her. She holds herself to a certain standard and any time that standard or boundary is pushed, she’s quick to attack the situation or retreat.

Monique is very standoffish and keeps everyone at a distance but still is polite/kind and considers herself approachable. Her treatment of them changes depending on how she perceives them, if they are friends or closer, or if she wants to get to know them romantically/financially.

Who is the most important person in your life, and why?

The most important person in Monique’s life is her father because time after time again, he’s proven to be the most genuine, solid and stable person in her life.

Who is the person you respect the most, and why?

Monique respects her father the most, because of all the things he has risked and done for her to be where she’s at today. He could’ve just given up after his wife/her mother passed and stayed stagnant, and hindered her, but he’s put everything on the line to make sure she had what she wanted at all times and nothing/no one could supersede that.

Monique’s friends are Asiah Porter, Josiah Reeves, and Sakari Vaughn. She views Josiah as her best friend.

Josiah is an older brother figure in Monique’s life, the second man in her life who took care of her, protected her and introduced her to the street life, fast money, and everything she’s known growing up. Monique sees Josiah as selfless, reliable, solid and loyal.

Sakari is the older sister figure in her life who’s always stuck by her side growing up. Sakari and Monique share similar home situations and upbringings which only brought them closer, as well as their fathers being close friends, and former business partners. Monique would describe Sakari as nurturing, soft-spoken, and not quick to express how she really feels.

Asiah Porter is Monique’s former roommate, she met Asiah through Sakari and once Monique moved to L.A., they formed a strong bond. Monique views Asiah as her partner in crime and a listening ear whenever she needs one. To Monique, Asiah is often the voice of reason, has juvenile tendencies, and is very friendly.

Monique is single.

Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.

Monique has been in love three times. The first time was with her first boyfriend, rapper Artist Dubose, who she dated for five years consecutively and thought she was going to spend her life with but they broke up due to both sides taking things too far and being disrespectful. The second time was with an on and off again situationship that ended up becoming more serious than she had originally intended it to be. She realized she was in love as she broke things off with him, due to internal issues. Lastly, Monique was in love with her ex-boyfriend of nine months, which also started off as harmless but eventually turned into something deeper. However, towards the end of the relationship, fights broke out that revealed issues with their relationship, resulting in her ending things with him.

What do you look for in a potential lover?

Monique looks for a provider, someone who's consistent, with a charming personality. Someone who shares similar traits to her father, someone who will defend her blindly whenever need be, someone who will cherish, reassure her, and exercise patience with her and not give up on her. She also looks to see if they trick.

How close are you to your family?

Monique is extremely close with her father, being that he’s the only family she’s ever really known or had. Monique is familiar with her mother’s side of the family but doesn’t have a close bond with them due to them not being as fond of her father and his occupation.

Monique hasn’t started a family and doesn’t wish to at the moment, simply because she’s currently too selfish to have kids at the moment. Pregnancy scares her.

Monique would turn to her father or her best friend.

Monique trusts her father or Josiah just because they have shown her things in the past that make her feel comfortable with them doing so. Her father’s shielded and protected her, her entire life, treating her as if she was fragile and Josiah has fought for her many times before.

Monique believes the entire world would miss her.

Monique despises her entire block list, and people who don’t like her in general because she feels as though they’ve picked unnecessary problems with her.

Monique would 100% argue with someone and by no means avoids conflict.

Monique leads herself in social situations, she wouldn’t try to control the crowd unless she’s being paid to host. Amongst her ‘peers’, she does her own thing or keeps her distance.

Monique doesn’t mind interacting with large groups of people, she’s used to entertaining a large crowd because of her social position what she does for work, and who she is. She doesn’t necessarily like being around a lot of people, and if she had the choice, she’d stay by herself.

hey nonnie! since i myself don’t really celebrate anything during the holidays i’m gonna go with 3 options for this one! also disclaimer i don’t celebrate christmas or hanukkah so this is just from my very limited knowledge of both 💀

option 1 — you celebrate christmas

in this case i think wilson is pretty used to semi celebrating christmas alongside hanukkah and so if you lived together you’d have the tree and the menorah in the living room and just make the house super warm and welcoming, BUT it also means you are so busy because pretty much all of december is packed with various parties and functions and family visits on both ends and even though it’s hectic you both have lots of fun and get to maximize your holiday season and not to mention all the little gifts you both get each other all throughout the month (it increases the feeling that the festivities are never ending)

option 2 — you celebrate hanukkah

if you also celebrate hanukkah i think you guys would have so much fun, just reminiscing over childhood memories, different things your parents would do for you, explaining little family traditions that had come about because of the holidays. there’s probably a lot of cooking and a lot of time spent with family again and maybe if you’ve been together long enough your families insist on doing a joint dinner together on one of the evenings and as crazy and chaotic as everyone is, you both haven’t had this eventful of a hanukkah in a long time and it brings a lot of joy and fond memories and hopes that things can be like this in the years to come

option 3 — you don’t celebrate anything

in this case i think wilson initially tries to tone down the holiday celebrations because he’s unsure what you’re comfortable with, but when you notice he’s not really doing anything and you ask him about it he explains that he didn’t want to push you into being a part of anything you might be uncomfortable with because he knows what it feels like to have christmas shoved down your throat and he didn’t want to make you feel like he was pushing you in a certain direction. you assure him that you’d actually love to learn more about how he celebrates the holidays which makes him light up since he’s able to share all of the fun little things he does and you learn more about how he grew up and the little things that stood out and were important to him as a kid and it really just shows you a whole new side of him (not to mention a quiet christmas going out for chinese food together)
