"will the characters be sad next chapter?? 🥺" "please let them suffer i just want to see them experiencing horrors beyond imagining 🥺 🥺" "why are you making them so happy can't you let them endure the exquisite and terrible depths of human sorrow for once??? 🥺 🥺 🥺"

Maybe I'm being silly, but despite all my ranting abt Rollo's mischaracterisation making me seem angry, I'm actually more sad than anything. Idk, it just kinda hurts to see a complex character I love so much being portrayed as a racist, religious bigot.
He's a traumatised teenager who literally watched his brother burn alive and couldn't do a thing about it. Like. Do you understand how horrific that is? And the cause of this horrific situation that left Rollo scarred is magic.
Rollo is, again, a traumatised teenager who watched his brother burn alive, and likely never got the help he needed to properly deal with his grief. Of course he's going to blame magic, it's likely how he copes, how he brings a sense of reason to a complete accident that could have happened to anybody with magic.
It's easier to view magic as a malevolent force that caused this tragic event. That way, Rollo won't have to confront the fact that there wasn't any "reason" at all. And now, he can eradicate the "cause" of his brother's death and make everything better. It's much more fulfilling than not being able to do anything to make it right because it was just an accident.
I would also like to take the time remind you that Idia literally tried to end the world and is still treated better than Rollo is.
"But he's based off Frollo!" You cry, except you seem to forget the fact that Jamil is based off Jafar, an old man who lusted after a teenager and wanted to marry her, and while Jamil is horribly misunderstood by many people, he's still not treated like a bigoted monster.
A lot of people came to the conclusion that he's racist against fae, even though nothing he does indicates that. He hates magic users specifically, and of course he'll hate Malleus, Malleus is notorious for using magic for every little thing and mainly being revered for his magic.
I also think Rollo being religious/Catholic doesn't make sense for his character. Think about it. He sees magic as dangerous, a vile influence that will bring nothing but harm, but people are complacent to adore and use.
Imagine trying to tell him there's an all-powerful, essentially magical being he must submit to and worship? One which, may I remind you, many say "allows" bad things (like the death of a brother in a blazing torrent of fire magic) to happen? He'd hate that shit. He'd probably gear up to fight god himself. He wasn't even afraid when he fought Malleus, after all.
Idk, this is just from a culmination of far too many posts, memes, "analysis'", and fics portraying this incredibly complex and tragic character who challenges the ideologies of our main chast as a creepy, obsessive copy-paste of Frollo, when characters who have done much worse are adored and treated like little meow meows.
I just don't understand why people do this? Is this because he went against the fan favorite, Malleus? Is this because he's "ugly" (he's not, and it's gross how many of you think ugly = bad person)? Is it because nobody can read?
I really don't know. But it really frustrates me that the common portrayal of him is so far from his actual character, especially since I relate to him in the sense of feeling a burning rage at something that has caused suffering for you, and not being healthy in your response to it/not being able to get help.
Idk man

A dozen Roses. (Some Twist housewardens) x reader)
《Characters》 Riddle, Vil, Azul, Leona and Malleus
《Summary》: You and him had a fight. For whatever reason and the other would only be forgiven if they would be brought a dozen Roses, handpicked. Though it was only said out of anger the next week they hold said roses.
《Note》: established relationship. Also some parts will be cringe and sappy!
Riddle Rosehearts:
Riddle and you had fought about something stupid and he felt horrible. He was annoyed at the fact that you had again broken rule and even came late to the five last dates. You slightly snarky: "Well calm down it's not that bad." You had muttered had thrown him over the edge. The fight became even bigger ending with you yelling:
"MAYBE IF YOU GOT THAT STICK OUT OF YOU A-- YOU WOULD BE A GOOD PERSON!" Before you had slapped your hand over your mouth. He could see it in your eyes, you were so terribly sorry, but he was so angry at you.
"GET OUT AND DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT COMING BACK WITHOUT A PROPER APOLOGY WITH A DOZEN HAND PICKED ROSES!" He had yelled the out watching your face go from shocked to... sad. Tears were in your eyes and you had run out of the room, leaving Riddle with an incredible guilt.
He was feeling incredibly horrible for the whole week, collaring students left and right while nervously fidgeting. He was scared of the fact he might had lost you forever, simply because he wasn't able to control his anger.
You had also felt terrible. Crowley had been giving you more work than usual, causing you to neglect your boyfriend and on top of that you even managed to dump all of your anger on him. You felt so bad and the fact you saw collared Heartslabyul students everywhere made it seem like Riddle was still incredibly angry.
You think about what to do for 5 days, before you remember what he had said right before you left and an idea forms in your head...
Riddle sighs, it's been a whole week since you talked to him and he was truly anxious. His anger and snapping on the other students being the only thing keeping him from going insane.
Until you hold a bouquet of exactly a dozen roses in front of him, your hands covered in small cuts from the thorns. You head hung to the side.
You bite your lip slowly chewing on it before you look at Riddle. "I apologise for letting my anger out on you. I was really behaving like a prick that day..." before you can say anything else Riddle does something very out of character for himself. He hugs you, starting to sob slightly.
You were really taken aback by this. You thought he would slap the roses out of your hand out of anger but maybe he was just as scared of having ruined the relationship as you were....
Leona Kingscholar:
Leona felt like the shittiest person alive and that was rare, like really rare. But your tear stained face after he and you had a fight about his lazy behaviour something moved in him. You said that you didn't want to see him again unless he would be willing to bring you a dozen handpicked roses.
He sighed, it had already been almost a week and you hadn't talked to him and for the first time in his life, he actually took his time to reflect on his actions, unlike his usual demeanor of just sleeping his problems and insecurities away.
He sighs sitting up, realising he wasn't able to sleep. He walked around, before noticing a rose bush with the most prettiest red roses in the world. He remembered that you only wanted to see him again if he brought you a dozen of them. How hard could that be? It's just a few Roses!
You on the other hand were the spending the whole week thinking about how you might have managed to break whatever relationship you had with Leona, spending your time chewing on your nails.
Were you to harsh on the lion? You didn't know. Maybe you shouldn't have said all those things, what if he decided your relationship wasn't worth it and would break up with you if you tried talking to him?
You drowned in guilt in doubt, nothing not even the help of your friends being able to cheer you up.
This goes that way for the whole week, until Leona stands in front of you holding a bouquet of exactly a dozen roses in his hands, wich look slightly pricked. You look at the bouquet in confusion.
"Leona? Why-" He shushes you with a slight smile. "You said I shouldn't show my face unless I would be willing to also do stuff for you, like picking a dozen roses." He looks at you sighing.
"I am really sorry herbivore, your right i should maybe show a bit more care for our relationship." This time you shush him by giving him a quick kiss on the lips and softly prying the flowers from his grip, careful not to prick your hand on the thorns before you look at him.
"We can work together to make sure that you get more active!" You giggle slightly and Leona softly wraps his tail around your waist. "And we work on your confidence, don't think I didn't notice!" He says nuzzling his cheek on yours.
Azul Ashengrotto:
Azul feared he scared you away. You had been trying to get his attention of as late and he was nothing but cold to you. Maybe this was the reason you snapped and he had the nerve to snap back at you. Maybe that caused you to finally yell what you had thought of him this whole time. "WELL YOU ARE JUST AN INSECURE OCTOPUS!" And he was so hurt he yelled that you should get out.
Anxiously walking around Azul looked around fumbling with his hat. He hadn't seen you for a week and he wanted nothing more to than to crawl into his octo pot and cry. But he had a facade to keep up, at least for now.
Maybe you had told him the truth about what you thought about him, that you only thought ov him as a insecure person. He didn't like that, it was like an arrow pierced right through his heart, the worst kind of betrayal always came from those close to you.
You on the other hand really hated yourself over this, you were just so angry at the fact he had refused to spend time with you for the last three weeks, cancelling dates last minute or just ignoring you when you asked why he didn't tell you earlier.
But what you said that day was really unacceptable. Even if you were just trying to let the anger gloss over the fact that you were scared that he maybe had gotten bored of you and didn't want to tell you.
You sigh letting your head hang low, you were really an asshole. Maybe you complaining was justified but picking on his insecurities was a no go and a good enough reason to break up with someone.
You pass a pretty rose Bush with nasty lot of thorns, but the Rose's were such a pretty shade you just needed to try something......
"I am really sorry Azul. I was very frustrated that day and let my anger out on you, that was wrong and unacceptable. I apologise for the things I have said, because they're not true! You aren't just an insecure octopus. You are a wonderful person, with a pretty smile, beautiful eyes and a personality that makes it impossible to resist you!"
Azul looks at you his glasses slightly crooked and foggy, almost as if he didn't want anyone to see just how moved he was by what you said. He spent all of his time thinking of if he had been to harsh and if he should make the first step, but it looks like you beat him to it.
"Its alright I forgive you. I should have also thought about about what you needed instead of simply neglecting you. I am sorry, how about we go on a date this week and I promise I won cancel it, I'll even sign it on a contract!
Vil Schoenheit:
Who would have thought that Vil would ever get so riled up about a fight! The way you had looked at him in sheer disappointment as he had pointed out that your clothes didn't look good, or your hair was messy. You had tried to give thought into your appearance just for Vil, but what had he done for you?
Vil sighed remembering just how often hs had turned out dates simply because he wanted to keep your relationship a secret for the sake of his reputation. You had understood and after you made it official together you accepted to look more up to what Vil said you should.
Rook comes back holding the flowers he had been told to deliver and Vil perks up. "Monsior/Mademoiselle trickster has said that they will only accept a dozen of hand picked roses, handpicked by you as an apology." Vil scoffed but at the same time he understood.
Vil decides that if a dozen of handpicked roses is what you wanted, you would get them. He walks outside of this dorm, with a strange determination on his face, that caused Epel to hide away in fear.
You on the over hand try your best to not run over to Vil and ask how he was doing. Rook should of course have delivered the massage to Vil already. You have the feeling you should talk to him, but you are tired of doing everything in this relationship.
After a week you think that he has officially given up on you and you feel like crying. Did Vil really didn't care? You scream into your pillow until you hear a loud knock. Wiping her puffy eyes you walk down the stairs and open the door, only to be greeted by a bouquet of a dozen roses.
"Hey my love..." he mutters holding the roses out to you and you feel incredibly touched. "I know I haven't been the best boyfriend I could have been and I feel incredibly sorry about that. I do love you and I am sorry I haven't been able to show you that probably, please let me make it up to you!" He asks and you swear you see a small tear in his eyes.
"Of course Vil!" You yell loudly hugging him. Vil sighed relieved burying his head in the crock of your neck and you can't help but giggle.
Malleus Draconia:
Oh dear, what had you done! You had forgotten to invite him to a small party, it was no big deal but the dragon fae was incredibly angry at you and told you that you shouldn't talk to him unless you bring him a proper apology.
You sighed asking Lilia what would be a proper apology and surprised he lifts both of his eyebrows. He didn't expect you to actually want to apologise, not like many people did that, but it warmed his heart to see you try. Enough to make sure you would stay hidden from Sebek.
Now with a new mission you decide that it's time for you to apologise properly though it would take some time to pick all the roses you needed.
A whole week passes and Malleus mood drops lower each day. It has no probably landed at the earth's core. Maybe it was because his significant other had forgotten to invite him to a party, or that they took this long to apologise, but the most significant reason might be that he felt like you would leave him.
You decide that you have now picked enough roses, exactly a dozen beautiful grand roses all hand picked just for him. Your hands had small bruises all over them but you really didn't care, you really wanted to apologise.
You enter the Diasomnia dorm, wich is surrounded by a green thunder storm. Carefully you walk after Lillia, who leads you to Malleus.
Malleus sees you entering with the roses and his mood immediately lifts up. You hold the roses up to him with a grand smile before you hand him an invitation.
"I really wanted to apologise for not having invited to the party, so I thought it was only appropriate for me to celebrate a party with you!" You exclaim holding the Rose's towards Malleus.
The dragon stands up and carefully takes the roses before taking the invitation with a grand smile.
"I accept child of man."
(Here take the fluff! Also request are open^^)

Hello !!!! Could you write something about Yan!Charlie, please ? Maybe something about another powerful mafia leader falling in love with Charlie's love, or maybe about his love trying to escape ? Idk anything about my husband :'(
You're an amazing writer ! Keep up the amazing work !
Thank you, and sure thing! I got a similar request from another anon (specifically what Charlie would do if his darling tried to escape and another mafia leader found out and kidnapped them), so I'm gonna combine your escape request with theirs, I hope you don't mind!
Yandere! Charlie when his darling escapes and is kidnapped
Gn! reader
Warnings: Yandere character, typical mafia violence, kidnapping, murder, non-graphic abuse towards reader (not done by Charlie, dw), suicidal ideation, implied planned suicide attempt, blood, stalking, guns.

When Charlie finds out you've escaped, his is pissed. Where did you go?! How could you have possibly bypassed all the security measures he put in place specifically to keep you safe and in the house?! Why would you want to escape when he's done nothing but shown you love and affection?! How could you do this to him?!
And then the self loathing kicks in. He must have done something, right? You wouldn't have gone through all the effort of escaping his high security home if he hadn't done something wrong, right? So what was it? Did he scare you? Were you afraid of being with someone with such a risky, dangerous job? Did the prospect of what he does to others terrify you to the point where you had to escape? Did you think he would hurt you, or kill you, or anything like that? Was living with him, being married to him, really all that bad?
without a second to spare, Charlie sends out every trained tracker at his disposal to find you, threatening to gut them as slowly as possible if they return without you. He knows you can't have gone far, there's only so much a distance you can cover on foot, and besides, how are you supposed to do anything without money? He has control over your previous bank account, and you certainly don't have any access to his, so how are you going to go anywhere? Still, he sends out a couple guys to search a farther, larger area, just in case a hitchhiker picked you up, or someone took pity on you and gave you enough money to use public transportation.
While his underlings are doing that, he's scanning every inch of the house in hopes of finding out how you escaped. Not a single inch of the house is left unturned, he will find out how you left, and he will make sure that you can never repeat that escape route again. Any and all weaknesses his security has are fixed within the day, insuring that once you're safely home, you'll never be able to bypass his cameras again.
He's a ball of rage and sadness for however long it takes to get you back. He's blaming you, he's blaming himself, he's blaming his employees, he's blaming the world, he's blaming anything with a pulse. His emotions flip like a switch, sometimes he's violently angry, but other moments he's horribly depressed. If he wasn't so focused on getting you back, he would have spent all his time in your bed, unable to move in the wake of his overwhelming emotions. He needs you back, he needs you back NOW.
He can feel himself inching closer towards the brink of insanity each hour you're away. He's constantly checking for updates on your whereabouts, growing increasingly unstable when each check in results in absolutely no new information being gained. His threats get more and more deranged with each failure to find you, his mind running through all the worst case scenarios he can think of. You couldn't be dead, could you? No, no, they would have known for sure if that were the case. Did you go to the police? No, you weren't that stupid. You knew he had insiders in the local department, it would have been runaway suicide to go to them. But if you weren't dead, or hidden away somewhere, than where could you possibly be?
Several days pass by, and there's still no sign of you anywhere. Charlie himself spends all day personally trying to track you himself, and still, there's no sign of you. Charlie's hysteria only gets worse, significantly so, to the point where he's seriously considering ending it all if he can't find you in the next couple of days. Without you, he has no reason to live. Life had no meaning. You were the shining light in the long, dark tunnel that was his life, and without that light, he has no reason to go on. His job brings him no pleasure, nor do his riches. He has no friends, no family, and no way to escape his position. Everything he did was for you, and now you're gone. He can't go on without you, he won't, if he can't have you then he won't have anything, please, he needs to find you before he loses it, he NEEDS-
Charlie was quite literally only a couple of seconds away from grabbing the gun strapped to his waist and blowing his brains out when they find you. Or well...They find what happened to you.
To Charlie's dismay, you aren't with the men who found out where you could be. He demands an explanation as to why they showed their faces without you in tow, but grows incredibly quiet when the people in front of him report that you've been kidnapped by a rival mafia leader. No wonder you had been hard to find. There was another organization covering your tracks, hiding you away from Charlie for their own personal benefit.
Charlie learns a lot of new things that day. He learns that unfortunately, one of the rival mafia's men had slipped through the cracks of his defences and become a spy for his rival, reporting back to the other leader whenever necessary. And unfortunately, because of how well known you are amongst Charlie's members, it didn't take long for the spy to figure out who you were.
He found out that as soon as word of your escape got out, the other organization immediately started hunting for you, planning to capture you and extort your connection with Charlie for money and power.
He found out that the organization found you, and now, you were with them, tied up somewhere in an undisclosed location. The only reason they knew you had been captured in the first place is because Charlie has his own spy within the rival mafia, and a pretty high ranking one at that.
Charlie is beyond furious when he finds out where you are. How dare his rival kidnap you and use you! How dare he put you in such danger! And how dare that spy!
He's so beyond angry that he can't even formulate words for several minutes, running his hand over his face and pacing around the room frantically, trying to think up a plan. When he's finally able to speak again, he orders half the men present to find that rival spy and bring him here, and the other half to find their own personal spy and tell him to figure out where you are and who is with you as soon as possible. Now that he knows where you are, he’s wasting no time in getting you back. He won’t let you suffer in the hands of his rival, he swears it.
Before he can get his report back though…he gets a message.
It’s a video of you, tied down to a rickety old chair in some unknown building. Your eyes are covered, but Charlie doesn’t need to see them to know how utterly terrified you are. You’re shaking, as much as your restraints allow you to at least, your normally untouched skin dark with bruises. There’s a guard on either side of you, guns in hand, and as the recording goes on, you’re quickly pulled out of frame, replaced by the big man himself.
Demands are made, but Charlie isn’t listening. All he can think about is you, you and your bruised, trembling body. Despite all the anger he harbors towards your escape, he's overwhelmed with fear and sadness. You've been hurt and bound, left helpless at the hands of his rival. The knowledge that you could be fatally injured or at least seriously wounded is not lost on him. He needs to figure out how to get you back, he needs to devise a plan to save you, he-
It doesn’t take long for him to get a report from his personal spy. This person is someone who his rival trusts after all, someone who’s been worming his way up to the top for years, all under the guise of a loyal right hand man. It was child’s play for him to figure out where you were being kept, even being bestowed the honor to guard you, a decision that Charlie would take full advantage of.
The second Charlie gets the report, he’s preparing for war. He’s not leaving anything up to chance. He knows he’s dealing with someone with a significant amount of power, so he’s getting the most skilled, deadly, dangerous people under his command to accompany him in bringing you home. He won't risk your safety any more than he has to, as much as he wants to tear the building apart and murder anyone in his sight, his main priority is getting you out of there in back home safely. Everything else can come after.
As soon as everyone's armed and ready, they're heading out to save you. Charlie makes sure to keep everyone as undercover as possible in case his rival becomes alert to their plan, only revealing themselves when they get the building you're being kept in. By the time Charlie's spy lets him and his crew in, it's too late for anyone to do anything.
Once in the building, Charlie makes no effort in hiding his presence. He's too pissed to care. He's shooting at any and every living thing that isn't one of his own men, taking down every and any goon who stands in his way. The rival mafia's forces can try to take him down, but chances are they'll be dead before they can get to him, and even if they aren't, a few bullet wounds won't stop Charlie. He's too high off of anger and adrenaline to care. All he can focus on is getting to you.
Charlie and his group travel through each and every room together, too cautious to let anyone stray on their own. Some of Charlie's employee's try to convince him to go back to the car and wait for them, that he's too hurt to carry on but Charlie brushes them off, snapping that he's not leaving until he finds you. He'll gladly bleed out right then and there if it means you'll come home.
Eventually, pretty much every goon hiding in the building is eliminated, minus the ones that are presumably guarding you. A couple of Charlie's men have fallen with them, but Charlie doesn't really care. Their lives were a means to an end, and hopefully, that end would result in your safe return. All they have to do now is find where they're keeping you.
The spy brings Charlie to the room where you're presumably being held, and without hesitation, Charlie kicks down the door, drawing his gun and aiming at anyone who isn't you. There are two guards beside your still-bound form, but within seconds they're laying dead on the floor, gunshot wounds going straight through their heads. Charlie can feel his heart hurting as he watches you flinch with every gun shot, but he reminds himself that this is all necessary to get you back, however scary it may be for you.
As soon as the guards are dead, Charlie's rushing towards you, fumbling with your restraints with shaky fingers. He gets increasingly frustrated when he can't undo them on his own, the blood loss from his bullet wounds beginning to get to him. His employees have to help him out, cutting you free and removing the blindfold that's been covering your eyes for who knows how long.
The second you're free, Charlie's grabbing onto you, bringing you into the most aggressive hug you've probably ever received. He won't let you go for what feels like forever, simply holding you to him, rocking your bodies back and forth while he soaks up your warmth. He's hurt, he's hurt badly, but right now, his priority is you, and reassuring you that your safe now, you're ok. He's not gonna let you go.
It's not until his employees surround him and you, urging him to leave, that he breaks away from you, but even then it's not by much. He's got one hand in yours, and one hand on his gun, refusing to let his guard down, even though he's successfully retrieved you. He would have carried you out of there, but with the injuries he's obtained, it's probably not a good idea. Still, he's determined to protect you, to keep you safe from anyone else that may be lurking in the building. Unfortunately, it appears the rival mafia leader managed to escape the building before Charlie got to him, but that's ok. Charlie can deal with him later. Right now, his priority is you.
The group only comes across a couple more people from the rival mafi, but they're swiftly dealt with, leaving a clear and quick path out of the building and back to the cars. The second you get into Charlie's car, the driver's speeding off, driving as quick as he can to the nearest hospital to get you and Charlie treated. All the while, Charlie's gripping onto you, refusing to let you go. He can tell you're still scared, and he's determined to remedy that the best he can.
It takes a lot of convincing to get Charlie to release you long enough to get treated. He's on the verge of passing out from blood loss, but all he cares about is you, and your safety. He doesn't trust anyone to be with you, but he finally allows himself to be pulled away when a nurse reminds him that it'll be hard to treat you with someone clinging onto your body the way he is, and that letting you go is what's best for your recovery. On his way out, he weakly promises you that he'll be back as soon as he can, and that he'll make sure you get the best care imaginable. His eyes are on you until he can no longer see you, and even then he's still looking in your direction, desperate for any visible trace of you.
It takes a couple hours for Charlie to get stitched up fully, but as soon as he does, he's rushing as quick as he's allowed to to be back at your side. Thankfully your injuries weren't as severe as his, only bruises and a broken bone or two, so you're already healed up by the time Charlie makes his way back to you. He's attaching himself right back to your side the second he sees you, he needs your touch more than anything after the long, horrible days filled with nothing but your absence.
Once he's sure everything's ok with both of you, Charlie takes you home. He doesn't yell at you, he doesn't scold you, he doesn't even say anything about your escape, but despite how cautious he's trying to be, you still look utterly terrified of him. He hadn't fully understood why you would be so scared of him before, not really, because despite his job, he had never, and would never, hurt you in any way, and he thought you knew that. But after all this...
He gets it. He gets it in a way he never considered before, and that understanding causes the most intense wave of guilt to envelop him. Yeah, he's never hurt you before, but he could. He's fully capable of it, and he knows you know he is. He's probably no different from his rival, not in your eyes, because despite their rivalry, they essentially do the exact same thing. Hell, Charlie's done disturbingly similar things to others in comparison to what the rival mafia did to you. He's done worse than what they've done to you. It feels different to him because he knows he would never do anything to you, but you don't know that. In your mind, you could end up just like any other person Charlie deals with at any moment. You didn't try to escape because Charlie had done something wrong towards you, you tried to escape because he could do something towards you. Sure, he had been nothing but kind to you, but how were you supposed to trust him? After all he had done, and was doing, even while you were with him, had he really given you a reason to?
Charlie won't punish you for your escape attempt. He was already unlikely to do so anyway, since he figured that would just make you more scared of him, but now, he's even more determined to earn your trust. Besides, you got kidnapped and injured by an extremely dangerous individual, which must have been a horrifying experience to live though. In his book, that kind of fear was punishment enough. He just hopes you'll be less likely to try and escape in the future, now that your first attempt went so wrong.
As much as it pains him to do so, Charlie gives you your space. For a while, at least. He fears that forcing you to interact with him will only cause your terror of him to grow, and that's the last thing he wants, especially after all you've gone through. He does reassure you that he's not upset with you, and you have no reason to fear him, but he understands that you aren't going to trust him right away simply because he told you you should. It's going to take time to gain your love and trust, and he's determined to do it right this time.
He won't try to rush anything anymore. He's gonna go at your pace, because at the end of the day, if that's what gets him your love, than it'll be worth it.
Oh, and uh... as for that traitorous spy, and his rival for that matter, well... don't worry about it. He's got a plan for them. One he'd rather you not get involved in.
Don't worry about it. Everything's going to be fine, he swears it.
I hope you enjoyed!

Hiii can I send in a request for daemon? Maybe him and the reader having a fight and he says something hurtful in the heat of the moment and makes reader accidentally cry? He feels super sad and tries to make it up to her? With a happy ending please :)
I SWEAR IT
- daemon’s harsh words almost break the one thing he wishes to remain intact (daemon targaryen x fem!reader, angst to fluff, he’s probably out of character but we’ll ignore that)
Tumblr media
a/n - i love angst to fluff so much, and i definitely feel like the trope fits daemon (though he’s more of an angsty than fluffy character), so this was very fun to write. i hope you enjoy!! <3
Tumblr media
“You can’t just take off whenever you feel like it, Daemon! The kids need you, I need you, your family needs you. When you go storming off, I’m left with all of your responsibility and more. Are we not enough for you?” You cry. Your voice is loud enough to echo through the hall, and you know all the servants are listening. You can’t bring yourself to care. He’s being so arrogant, so selfish right now that you feel tears budding up in your eyes. Why can’t he just see that he needs to actually be present in the life of his wife and children?
He scoffs. “All you do is nag, woman. I’ll be home when I want to and anywhere else when I don’t want to be home.”
“Nag? You think I’m nagging you like some terrible wet nurse? I am your wife. Just listen to what I’m saying, husband.” He shakes his head. He can feel a headache pounding in his head and his hair is still wet from the rain outside.
“I can’t do this right now. God, I wish I never married someone as uptight as you.” He spits, tone laced with venom. He adds something in a whisper, something you can barely hear but hurts worse than anything else. “She never would have treated me this way.”
You’re silent for just a moment, thoughts swimming through your mind. He brought up his mistress. A woman you hoped you would never hear of again.
You know you haven’t been the perfect, doting wife, but him saying he wishes he never married you while also comparing you to his ex-lover is too much to handle. You slide to the floor.
The dam breaks and all the pent up sobs come tumbling out of you. You’re choking on your own breath, desperately grabbing at the cold stone beneath your collapsed knees to try to get some sense of stability. Tears soak the soft linen of your dress, and Daemon doesn’t know what to do.
He knows he’s gone too far. He always does. Something just snaps in him when he’s arguing, something guttural and vicious and mean. He says whatever he can to hurt the other party, but today, that has backfired hard.
He loves you more than life itself, and that’s a lot to say for someone who seems to care only for himself. He looms over you, presence dark and sad and boiling with emotion.
“Love?” He asks, tone soft.
You continue to stare only at the floor.
“Leave me.” Your voice is quivering and wracked with sobbing gasps. “I don’t wish to be around you.”
You feel like you’ve been punched in the face and squeezed out like an old rag at the same time.
Daemon gets down on your level, rough hands reaching for your face.
“I apologize. I didn’t mean for it to hurt you in that way.” It takes a lot for him to own up to his mistakes- a lot more than the normal person would think, so when you look at him incredulously he thinks his heart might shatter. He’s not the most gentle man, and he knows it. He’s not the best man either. He took you for granted and discarded you, something he will regret for the rest of his life.
“You didn’t mean it? That reeks of bullshit, Daemon, and you know it. Just get out before I truly come to my senses.” You feel angry, yes, but the true emotion pulling you down is pure sadness. You tried so very hard to be what he wants, but nothing ever worked. Now you’re losing what little grip you have left on him.
He holds your chin between his forefinger and thumb, gently pulling you towards him. “I promise. I said those horrible things in the heat of the moment, and they hold no truth about your character.” You almost believe him.
“Yes, but you prefer her character, do you not?” He hates how miserable you look.
“I do not. She’s in the past, and you are my future.” He brushes the new tears from the corners of your eyes. “I love you. I am a flawed man, through and through, but I love you. The day of our marriage was the happiest of my life, and I will fight for our relationship until the end of time.”
Your eyes are swirling with emotion, and when he gently kisses your forehead, you feel like you’re about to explode. He lets you.
You sink into his arms, allowing yourself to be held and comforted and reassured by the least sympathetic man in the seven kingdoms.
“I will make it up to you, my love. I swear it.”

I've found out that reita is gone three months later
so yesterday at night, august 15, I found out that reita was dead... and I couldn't' believe it, it was so surreal and I cried reading the words of ruki for him. it pains me to know the gazette members were friends, mostly reita and uruha that used to know way before.
tbh I haven't listened to the gazette since 2016
I met the gazette's music at 18 or something like that and
now I'm 36 and I have clinic depression and when the gazette made their second world tour, the country I live in it's close to argentina, I had a friend who had an argentinian friend that got me a front row ticket for the gazette concert, I got the flight tickets for me and my friend, and then I had a shitty nationality that didn't let me go anywhere (I already changed my nationality) anyway, I didn't get the visa to argentina, I was so sad I wanted to end everything. I went straight to the psychiatrist, it was the first time I really wanted to end everything, every bad thing that had happened to me, not being able to got to the gazette's concert was the last blow, and someone I thought as my best friend back then, she got to go and it made me so sad and angry 'cause she wasn't even a real fan compared to me, she just happened to listen to their songs that year and go (she dedicated ito to me 'cause she missed me, and hell I told her 'bout that song's meaning, that's my proof she wasn't a fan)
so I stopped listening to the gazette, but this year I felt like listening to, and last night I was listening to layla by eric clapton because a kaleido star's fanfic I was reading with the characters layla and yuri, and I wanted a name for the main female character of the book I was trying to write, I thought layla was cool, but there's already too many L in my main male character's name, so I thought of reila (I thought it was reira) and there was "what happened to reita the gazette" on the search while I was looking for reila's lyrics, I thought it was a illness or accident, but no, reita is gone.
I found out that reita is gone while listening to eric clapton playing guitar.
I went to wikipedia and I thought a troll edited the page, a horrible joke, but it was real and it means I'll never go to a the gazette's concert in my life, maybe I still can, but it won't be the same without reita, he is the gazette and he is my fave bassist and I remember when I was young and grew up with the gazette's songs, I got excited just by watching their pvs on the screen, everytime I read their interviews were so inspiring, just a bunch of young adult friends that decided to pursue the same dream together. I wish I had that kind of friends, and let's face it, most jrock groups break after a few years, the gazette were friends with the same dream that lasted over two decades, they were losers that had each other and followed their dreams and made them come true and to me the gazette isn't one of the best rock/metal groups of japan, to me they're one of the best in this whole universe.
and I went to two aerosmith lives where they were in their 60s and I dreamed of the the gazette were going to rock 'til they were old in his 70s.
tbh I'm curious about reita's passing, I want to know why, last year matthew perry died and I love friends, it was shocking, but I did know why, however asian artists are more discreet than western ones and we may never now about what happened to reita. there's so many rumours and the gazette haven't released new songs since 2021? I guess there'll be a new bassist and I won't hate on him, but it won't be the same.
reita was so young, not 45 or 47, he was 42 and I don't want to believe in the horrible rumours. whatever happened to him, it was his life, if there's heaven, another life or another world I hope he's in peace.
and I'm hurt and I'm not ready to listen to the gazette music yet.

Characters with wasted potential: Bakugo Katsuki (rant)
Look as much as I don't and I mean DON'T like bakugo I have to admit that Horikoshi's favouritism has caused the own downfall of his own favourite character which is just sad.
There are many things I don't like with bakugo which are :
HIS ATTITUDE. I know hori was going for the moody deuteragonist trope but it fails horribly when it comes to bakugo because the guy has NOTHING AND I MEAN NOTHING to be angry about. This guy basically won the lifes lottery so by making him like this he literally just comes of as an aggressive, ungrateful child.
HIS REDEMPTION ARC. His redemption arc was utter and complete BS I mean he literally still does bulky izuku and others but it's just being treated as a gag instead of him learning not to and why it's bad. Also what makes it so bad is the lack of izukus pov and personal thoughts/emotions about it like izuku is the victim so we should see his negative and positive emotions towards bakugo and we should see bakugo take all of these emotions and try his best to make it up to izuku and change
HIS INTERACTION WITH OTHER CHARACTERS. I have no idea what those MHA stats were but they were horrible and why is it that every single time bakugo interacts with a character they will end up thinking he is cool and worthy of respect when he CLEARLY ISN'T.
LACK OF CHALLENGES. In my opinion, as a character bakugo doesn't go through enough obstacles or challenges and if he does he always has someone who goes through it with him like his whole I caused all mights downfall thing or the failed provisional license exam thing were so horrible in my opinion
A LACK OF CONSEQUENCES. Bakugo lacks consequences for a lot of his actions like the suicide incident and many other things. The problem is when he does finally receive the consequences it's always him and another character which doesn't make sense especially when izuku also got house arrest for what? Defending himself.?!?!
Bakugo could of clearly been a well written character that would be involved in the plot when necessary. Honestly, I hate bakugo and if it were to me I would have him erased as a character from the plot or bring in ORIGINAL BAKUGO!!! Who was soooo much better then the canon bakugo we have now!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But if we were to go with the 1st option of keeping bakugos character the same I would :
Change his attitude or actually give him something to have that type of attitude. Honestly, it's so infuriating that this guy only knows how to be an angry Pomeranian and it irritates me even more when he has nothing to be angry about. I know it's said in the manga that bakugo has a nasty attitude due to whatever mixture of superiority and inferiority complex he has and while you can do that and explore it a whole lot more like how did this happen? Where does it stem from? And stuff like that. It would be good to do something like that and Involve/show how society contributes to making these type of people which you can then use to expand on the world building that MHA lacks in. Or alternatively, you can give bakugo a reason to be angry all the time but in my opinion you already have so many of those characters so it would be better to stick with the first option.
Make him have obstacles and more realisations while gradually propping and hinting at a redemption arc. In my opinion it should of taken the entirety of the series for bakugo to have a redemption arc and when that arc is finished DONT GIVE HIM HIS OWN VILLAIN TO FIGHT. If you wanted him to fight someone make him fight himself and his own ideas. Also I think his development should start from the moment he gets saved by izuku and all might from the sludge villain where we can see him realise that maybe he has been lied to and that he isn't as great as he thought he was or everyone thought he was. He can also try and start focusing on what he has done or what he has been doing and at first you can have him ignore it, ignore it, ignore it and still not change until he reaches rock bottom in one of the earlier arcs preferably early season 3 when he fails the final exams BECAUSE HE SHOULD OF AND JUSTICE TO SERO!!!
Change the way characters interact with him. At first I loved how class 1A didn't like bakugo and viewed him as annoying and all of that and I think this should of continued until bakugo himself starts seeking for change during the training camp arc. Probably also have aizawa and other teacher reprimand him for his actions like the battle trials we don't see Katsuki receive any consequences just him on a verge of a mental break down and that's it. Also, we should definitely have more of Katsuki and best jeanist because let's be honest it was only best jeanist that tried to help bakugo and guide him in the right direction. You could also have him interact with all might but scrap the whole I got kidnapped and ruined all mights career I find it better if it were izuku to get kidnapped during the training camp arc.
Give him CONSEQUENCES. Iam all for Katsuki getting consequences for his own actions and faults and I feel like he should of got them during the battle trials, failing the provisional license exam alone, the final exams(he should of failed that fight with all might). Also I don't think he should be expelled from UA but I do think he should have more of a severe consequence that's NOT him getting anger management classes or therapy because that's not really a punishment. The idea might work if you also add him getting house arrest or losing a clean record and getting those types of classes but just that doesn't work for me
Lack of challenges. Katsukis character arc would work great if we focused more on his challenges and him ACTUALLY LOSING and not winning all the time. Realistically speaking there are many challenges bakugo can go through which are: having to realise he isn't the best and there are people better then him, he should treat people with respect, his behaviour towards izuku and other kids he bullied was bad, him trying to differentiate himself from endeavour and become a better hero and human being then endeavour by redeeming himself, his superiority and inferiority complexes.
Overall, Katsuki in this role should of been someone who is arrogant and has basically won lifes lottery but then he gets into UA and realises "oh Iam not as special or stronger then everyone else" which could then cause him to become insecure aka que the superiority and inferiority complexes which he develops out of and slowly redeems himself and becomes a symbol of how society can create bad people by too much praise or just thinking they are superior and how these people can go on to them become heros or people that society is supposed to trust and praise when they don't deserve it. Something that bugs me is how katsukis character mainly focuses on just izuku and whenever izuku is mentioned Katsuki has to be mentioned or vice versa.
Also it would if been better if you emphasised on the Katsuki and endeavour Parallels and don't redeem endeavour but redeemed Katsuki. Also, have Katsuki and todoroki have a difficult relationship it's out of character for todoroki to get along with someone like Katsuki. You can then explore the relationship and have Katsuki change and todoroki interact a bit more with him or something of the sort.
ALSO WHEN WE GET AN APOLOGY LET IT NOT BE WHEN IZUKU IS ON THE VERGE OF DEATH AT HIS MOST VULNERABLE AND LET HIM HAVE SOME THOUGHTS ABOUT IT
Ps: this is my opinion!! And I think I could of done more justice for bakugo but Iam not his biggest fan so ... Yeah. If I missed something definitely add it !

Sort of part 2? I already made another version from a scene with Babe but now i'm doing this scene for Charlie:) (I hope this is not stupid, im using a big part of what was shown in the show in this writing but i'm also adding a bit more of my own interpertation of these two scenes, because i feel like they're pretty important for each character) Word count: 671 words
The guilt was eating Charlie up alive. At first he didn't really feel guilty about planning his fake death. Along with needing all his energy and focus on recovery, he thought it for the better. Even if it did hurt Babe, it was for the best and would only guarantee his safety. That didn't mean Charlie didn't miss him, no on the contrary, he missed Babe a lot. When he heard Jeff's voice talking with Uncle Ravel, he slowly pushed himself up. All of his limps were sore and his head was heavy, he couldn't help but groan. Jeff turned to Charlie as he spoke up.
"So you went to stay with P'Alan?" Jeff rushed over to Charlie and grabbed his shoulder as he noticed his brother was awake. He slowly guided Charlie to sit. Jeff didn't answer Charlie's question but instead asked a question himself, "How are you P'?"
Charlie felt unsteady and wobbled sligthly against Jeff as he finally sat upright. He squinted his eyes against the bright light outside and pushed the blanket off of him.
"I'm not dead yet." Charlie respondedly vaguely. Honestly he was feeling terrible, his head felt like it was gonna burst, but he wasn't gonna say that to his brother. It was his own idea so he had to suffer the consequences quietly.
"What's the situation now?" Charlie suspected he had missed a whole lot of important events.
"Everything went as planned. Tony is mad that you're dead. He has Kenta search for new alpha children everywhere," Jeff rubbed his hands together in an absentmindly movement but Charlie still noticed, "The team has figured out that Dean is a spy. So now everyone has moved to P'Alan's house. P'Babe, P'North and P'Sonic, even including Kim." That surpised Charlie, the last time he heard about Kim he was still being held captive by Tony.
"Oh really?" was all he could say.
"What else can they do? Everyone was devestated by your death," Jeff looked at Charlie's face when he said the next words, "Especially P'Babe." Charlie frowned and looked at his lap.
"Is he very sad?" It sounded like a stupid question, because obviously Babe would be sad. But Charlie needed to know how sad Babe was.
"You died right in front of his eyes, how could he not be sad. It will take a while for him to accept it." It's because of this sentence Charlie started doubting this idea. He had thought about Babe being hurt by his plan, of course he had. But Charlie hadn't expected Babe to take his dead really hard. Maybe Charlie should have seen it coming from the way Babe had reacted when Charlie offered to give him his senses back, he got angry at him every time Charlie mentioned it. It made him want to call Babe or at least let him know he was okay but he couldn't, it would destroy the plan and all their hard work.
Jeff understood Charlie's silence and continued speaking, "I know that you are just as upset. But don't forget, the one who proposed this plan was you. You know how Babe will be." Jeff was right, of course he was but that still didn't help the horrible feeling in his gut. Charlie turned his head and looking at his hands in his lap, frowning ever deeper than he did before.
Jeff handed him his glasses and Charlie took them without saying a word, lost in his own mind. He wanted to call Babe, wanted to tell him it was all okay. He wanted to comfort him but he couldn't but instead he was left with a feeling in his stomach that made him want to throw up.
Jeff touched his knee and rubbed his thumb softly in a comforting gesture. "We'll take care of P'Babe, don't worry." But that was the only thing Charlie could do, worry about Babe. It was only a tiny bit of comfort that Charlie knew Jeff and Alan were looking out for him.

Does anyone ever think about Elinors last day alive?
After the fight for the mirror, she would know by the sky that some champion had died, but only after meeting up with Finley would she find out it was Carbrey.
Their relationship is so interesting, (at least on Elinors part) because she knows he must die, but is protective of him in a way that is more than just allies, as being cousins she’d have known him since he was a baby. I wonder if she wanted it to be him and her in the end so that she could kill him herslef, and try to make it as painless as possible, or if she was hoping Finley would do it for her.
Regardless, she would no doubt be enraged upon finding out that not only was he dead but that it was BRIONY who had slain him.
Whom Elinor personally disliked, and who had CLAIMED she wanted all of the champions to live, only to go on to kill the 15 year old herself. No doubt Elinor would realize as well, that his death was largely her own fault, for lying to the boys to pit them on Bri.
In the second book, it is mentioned, while coming to pair the Hammer with the Monastery that a table had been flung into a wall. Finley was certainly angry too, as he believed Briony to have betrayed them, but he hardly seems the type to throw a table in anger. Elinor seems the obvious candidate.
So she returns to The Monastery, after learning the girl she hates has killed her young cousin, probably spends much of the night seething and unable to sleep. In the morning, Finley is led away by the compass rose. We don’t know if he told Elinor if he was leaving or not. If he DID Elinor would probably have demanded to come along to enact her revenge, but he makes her stay.
So she wait in the monastery probably checking on all the champions through the mirror- when she would at some point, likely see a band of three champions coming to kill her. Maybe she would check Finleys location only to see that he’s joined with Briony and has left her alone in the landmark. What can she do besides try to wait them out? Besides change the wards of course, as she knows Gavin can break the old ones.
So she waits, alone and angry in a huge empty monastery, until Isobel lights it up. She’s fumigated out (after a long time, the book notes) to where she will not an hour later- die one of the most brutal deaths in the series.
I don’t really have that much to say about the whole ordeal other than that every character in this duology is horribly sad. Like bro.

hello! im reasonably new to your account and i just saw that you have an arcana playlist (love the idea of that) and i dont know if you still take suggestions for the playlist, but in case you do, i have a few songs that remind me of characters (aka just Muriel, like literally just him) that might be of use :)
On the Mountain Tall - the Oh Hellos, not only does the name and the general vibe of the song fit him but there are a few lyrics in it like "I know you want me to be afraid, I know you want me to love you" "Up out of the grave of an angry ghost, Firing bricks from broken canon and prose, To build a wall so high it reaches the heavens in the sky" "Still you beat your drums, Raising holy war with every strum, Shouting down the quiet kingdom come, Brushing at your fingers, hoping you'll come around" that honestly just fit very very well
How to Disappear Completely - Radiohead cus its sad as fuck. "I'm not here, This isn't happening, I'm not here, I'm not here, In a little while, I'll be gone, The moment's already passed, Yeah, it's gone", if thats not a man dissociating through traumatic expiriences i dont know what is. The song keeps repeating "im not here", and seeing how Muriel chose to have a curse that makes people forget him, it is very fitting
Trapdoor - Twenty One Pilots, i have had an arcana obsession since like? 2019? when i was still a massive fan of this band, and this song always reminded me of muriel. "Take me out and finish this waste of a life, Everyone one gather around for a show, Watch as this man disappears as we know, Do me a favor and try to ignore, When you watch him fall through a blatant trapdoor, 'Cause nobody know his life (i always thought it was "he's alive")", it gives the vibes of how the people of vesuvia did Not Give A Shit About him. They just thought hed willingly murder so many people, nobody saw the literal chains he was stuck in and thought "hmm maybe hes being forced to do this"
No Suprises - Radiohead, it reminds me of how Muriel pulled away from all society after he fled from the colosseum. It reminds me of how he was so scared and so ashamed to interact with people, how he just wanted some silent and rest after all the horrible things he went though, not just in the colosseum but his entire youth. "You look so tired, unhappy. Bring down the government, They don't, they don't speak for us. I'll take a quiet life, A handshake of carbon monoxide, No alarms and no surprises, No alarms and no surprises, No alarms and no surprises, Silent, Silent", to me the song always feels like it needs to be sung while sobbing.
Sleep - My Chemical Romance, i 100% believe Muriel has so many nightmares, i mean its even shown in his route once. A symptom of ptsd is night terrors, and seeing what the guy has lived through theres no way he goes to sleep normally. I think this song catches the vibe of this pretty well.
PTSD - Joost, literally just a (dutch) song about ptsd. its a massive vibe and cus i hc that Muriel has ptsd i thought it be fitting
Me? Having massive brainrot abt Muriel? perhaps...
i hope this can be useful for your playlist!! (also if youd like i can give more of this, it is very fun to do lol)
@canofpeaches00000 woah, these are all awesome suggestions! I really appreciate how you broke down the lyrics and added context to them too, it doubled my capacity to enjoy them! ^.^
I've added them to the playlist and I'm putting them on the tag, thank you for all the recommendations friend! :D

Trying to endure the unpleasant characters of "Bakemonogatari"
After receiving numerous recommendations that I should check it out over the years, I've finally started watching "Bakemonogatarai."
It's... weird, for sure. Interesting at times, definitely. But the two focal characters thus far make the series so incredibly hard to watch.
Tumblr media
This is Koyomi Araragi, who is evidently our primary protagonist. The most important thing you should know about him is that he will endure the worst verbal abuse imaginable while only BARELY ever bothering to push back even a smidge, to the point that he infuriates me. This bitch has ZERO self-respect. It might even be in the negatives.
Now, maybe something will change with him! After all, I'm only five episodes into the series! He has plenty of time to grow a spine and stand up for himself. But right now? He spends most of the series hanging around — and getting cruelly abused by — a girl named Hitagi Senjougahara.
Tumblr media
Senjougahara seems to be our secondary lead. Araragai spends the first two episodes going out of his way to help her with some difficult problems, which makes her declare herself to be his "dear friend" immediately thereafter. However, in ALL FIVE episodes to date, Senjougahara just brutally abuses him. And it just makes him depressed. He doesn't fight back, he doesn't get upset or angry... he just gets really sad and hangs his head silently, ultimately agreeing with her horrible put-downs.
-----------------------------------------------------------
The dialogue in this show is seriously like this—
Senjougahara: You're a very dear friend to me, Araragi. I owe you a lot. It's sad that you're a disgusting little bitch baby, but I'll still repay my debt for your kindness regardless of how odious of a person you are.
Araragi: ...thank you.
Senjougahara: Seriously, I can't imagine having to touch anything you've ever touched. The thought is so abhorrent. And the thought of ever touching YOU? Christ. I could vomit.
Araragi: Yeah.
Senjougahara: You look like a pedophile with that greasy hair over your eyes, you know that? In fact, I bet you ARE one. You fuck little kids, don't you??
Araragi: Come on... I'm not like that.
Senjougahara: Shut your nasty, hideous excuse for a mouth. Don't try to deny it. I can tell you fuck little kids.
Araragi: ...okay....
Senjōgahara: You sickening child molester. Rapists are the lowest of the low, but you? You're lower than they are. You're more vile than a gremlin's shit-stained taint, Araragi.
Araragi: ...sorry. It's true.
Senjougahara: If I wasn't such a wonderful and forgiving friend to you, you wouldn't have anyone else breathing the same air you've spoiled with your repulsive, loathsome presence. You'd be all alone. Which is all you'll ever deserve, of course.
Araragi: .......of course.........
-----------------------------------------------------------
I get that Sejougahara is just a massive, miserable asshole. That's at least very consistently portrayed. The bigger problem to me is that Araragi will go out of his way to help literally anyone in need but will do NOTHING to stand up for himself with this asshole.
The worst part is that I think these two are supposed to be possible love interests??? I THINK she's supposed to be a thugdere or something. I hope that I'm either wrong about that or something RADICALLY changes, because right now I only want to see Araragi remove her from his life forever.
Which is pretty unlikely.
Tumblr media
Man, even in the second story arc, Araragi could've just taken the incessant abuse he received from the newest character he met as adequate reason to leave her the hell alone, and WOW, that actually would've solved everything instantly!

I hear you need angst ideas for Jimmy. WELL- canonically his character is not only insecure but it’s heavily implied he has abandonment issues. What if you delve into that with the whole mess with his ex deputy fwhip.
OH I CAN ABSOLUTELY DO THAT I LOVE PSYCHOANALYZING MY BLORBOS
Jimmy was used to people only staying temporarily. Even if they promised they'd never leave, they always left or were taken from him. For a while he began to wonder if he was the problem.
I mean, only so many people can promise to stick by your side just to disappear so many times before you start to wonder if you were the reason they left. Maybe you were driving them away.
And Jimmy was fine to accept that. He knew he wasn't the greatest person alive. He made mistakes, he got angry and sad or would say the wrong thing at the wrong time. So maybe everyone had just seen how bad of a person he was and didn't want to deal with him anymore. That was fine. That was understandable.
And then fWhip wanted to be deputy. The little goblin man came along with his charming grin and big blue eyes and completely won over Jimmy's heart. They were good friends and fWhip hadn't done anything to spite Jimmy so far so Jimmy trusted him with a shiny golden badge, crafted from the finest gold from Tumble Town mines. And it was even made specifically for fWhip's size.
"I would never ever betray you, Sheriff." fWhip promises one day, crossing over his heart. Jimmy swallows and tries to keep his hopes down. fWhip would leave eventually. fWhip would get sick of him and his antics and throw in the badge and never speak to him again.
But fWhip didn't leave. At least not for a while. He stayed by Jimmy's side for months. Jimmy had grown to trust fWhip, telling him things no one else on the server knew. He told fWhip about Double Life, how he still thought of Tango all the time, about how people always seemed to leave him, how he didn't even feel human sometimes.
And fWhip listened. He listened with a heavy heart to Jimmy's stories. He didn't crack jokes to downplay Jimmy's feelings. He was a friend, a deputy, partner in crime law.
"I promise I won't leave," fWhip mumbles, scooting closer to Jimmy and resting his hand on top of Jimmy's.
The Sheriff takes it as a simple comforting gesture. "Please don't." He mumbles back, leaning his head on top of fWhip's.
fWhip kept to his promise. He stuck to Jimmy like glue. He ransacked the Toy Barn in Jimmy's name, distributed Law books, defended Jimmy in and out of court, all while wearing his deputy badge proudly.
It all made Jimmy feel.. some way. He didn't have the words for it.
And Jimmy began to believe fWhip. Maybe he wouldn't leave. Maybe Jimmy would have a solid ally for once. They'd be the best of friends and would always have each other's backs no matter what.
Jimmy really liked that idea.
But nothing good lasts around Jimmy Solidarity. He can never have anything precious in his life. Just when he thinks everything is perfect and maybe he isn't a horrible person the sky comes crashing down and ruins everything in its path.
Something changed in fWhip. A switch flipped, maybe. One day he was Jimmy's best friend and the next he was shouting from the rooftops that Jimmy was corrupt, that he was a bad Sheriff and shouldn't be trusted.
Of course Jimmy fired him. Not before basically begging on his knees to know what had happened between them, what he'd done and how he could fix him.
fWhip wanted nothing to do with him.
So Jimmy was alone again.
Maybe he really was the problem. Maybe there was something wrong with him he couldn't see but others could. Did he talk too much? Or not enough? Was his logic really that flawed? Was he not considerate enough? Too clingy? Did he really carry himself like he was above everyone?
He just wanted to know what his deal was, why he couldn't keep friends. And he wanted all his friends back.
Jimmy... only talks to people for business matters now. And he doesn't bother being friendly. It doesn't earn him any friends but it keeps people from getting too close. Gotta stop the spark before it can start a fire, right?

If we are specifically talking about fics about Hollow some I have tried at various points,
LONG
White and Gray - Where Hollow gets isekaied into the past, angst, pain, family drama ensue. Hollow is angry, boiling and very emotionally vulnerable. They do slowly get better. Kind of. Ongoing. I would recommend it, if you like fix it fics where not everything is perfect (few things are).
Lost Kin - if you like slow paced attempt at caretaking except that for the most part of the fic Hornet is not aware that she is taking care of a person and not automaton. Things get better but like... uh. Also can get graphical. Also takes place in the alternative take on the Hollow Knight ending so the Knight is not doing well either but hush it is implied. Ongoing. (pretty great for how amazing the povs are)
Drained of Light - about gang taking care of Hollow in the aftermath of the modified Godhome ending, much less angsty, provides a lot of homebrew and generally more on humorous side (but still horrible trauma and dissociation on Hollow's part) Also can get graphical. Has shipping. Knight/Quirrel Ongoing
Take Two - timelines do a thing and it causes... some effects. The sealing is canceled last moment and so the Pale King is now stuck with needing to quickly figure out a new solution while also navigating the fact he has had a kid he had neglected for their entire life for better good of the kingdom. They must loathe his presence after everything (they don't). ALso ongoing, slow updates. Other important characters are Hornet and the Knight themselves (also has some comedic value)
Make Yourself Deserving of a Second Chance - very very slow paced pov of Pale King having miserable time after he gets resurrected after main events of the game, presumably by his dead kids. He is weak, sad and really wants to make things better but also wants to die. Contains shipping between Grimm/Pale King. Pretty decent but the plot is very slow so it didn't really manage to get far yet with its 20+ chapters. Be prepared.
There are also a number of short ones, but I am yet to compile a list of those I took note of (as I have little time to read fics, alas).
oooooh these sound interesting!! maybe ill give em a shot!

Prisoner 008: Watanabe Noa - Trial 2
Tumblr media Tumblr media
General info
Verdict: INNOCENT
Physical changes: Her hair has grown down to her waist, but other than that, her appearance hasn't changed much.
Behavioral changes: She's used to taking care of her siblings back at home, so she's now the primary big sister figure of Milgram with Mayumi out of commission. She's been making an effort to interact with everyone, with varying degrees of success, but her reputation has been boosted nonetheless. Being the prison's main cook helps.
She has...mixed feelings towards her verdict. She wants to be angry about it, but due to the nature of an innocent verdict itself, she finds herself accepting it. Her feelings towards her life have also changed. She's more energetic and motivated now. Maybe living isn't so bad?
Trailer art: Noa is turned to the right, looking back at you with a curious expression, mouth slightly ajar. A black border separates the door behind her into two slant halves. The lower half displays stormy dark grey clouds, while the upper half showcases multicoloured paint splatters, with pink and blue being the main colours.

Voicelines
– Second trial trailer
I know its hard when you have no appetite...but you have to eat.
– Character voice trailer
I'm so horribly selfish, aren't I?
Tumblr media
Cover info
Canon Milgram song cover: Weakness (Noa's shares a few similarities with Haruka where they're both "weaklings".)
DECO*27 song cover: Coward mont blanc (You can safely assume that any songs she gets convey her feelings towards either her life or her husband.)
Non-DECO*27 vocaloid song cover: Nomad (Based on the title of this song, Noa can then be interpreted as a wanderer. Take that how you will.)
Tumblr media
Music info
Song title: Void
Song preview: Love, care and affection. I'll gobble it all up! Is it alright for you to give it me? You should be careful. I was never taught not to bite the hand that feeds me.
I love, love, love you! But why isn't it enough? You have to believe me, I actually sacrificed a lot for you. Have you grown tired of it yet? Then let's put an end to it all.
MV description: The MV is filled with saturated pastel colours, the lighting of each scene important for setting the tone. The paint splatters that appear are 3D and textured. The song is fast paced and upbeat right until the end when it takes on a more somber note.
The MV starts with Noa sitting by a desk, writing what looks like a letter addressed to her mother. Words like: I'm sorry, its been great, and take care of yourself can be read. Similar letters lie in a pile close to her work-in-progress, each with a pressed flower taped to the envelope. A close up of Noa's blank, slightly sad expression.
The camera cuts to a younger Noa sitting by the sandy shore of a beach. Storm clouds loom ahead, reflected in her eyes as she stares at the sea. Raindrops start to fall, darkening the pale blue of her dress. She curls up tighter around herself.
The camera cuts to Benijro in an art studio, working on a canvas. Sunlight pools in from the big window, illuminating him in an ethereal glow as he smiles serenely. The contents of his canvas are revealed: Noa holding a bouquet of lavender. A splotch of blue paint suddenly appears, covering her eyes. Then splotches of pink, yellow and grey join in until the upper half of her face is covered.
The camera cuts to Noa and Benijro on their wedding day. Noa reaches out and caresses Benijro's face. He smiles softly. Green and yellow splotches of paint cover his face. A close-up of Noa's face. Her facial features are gone, replaced with a grey and blue void. She leans forward to kiss him, his green and yellow paint mixing with the void of her face until their faces blur together.
Then they're dancing in a decorated hall, a jazz band playing in the background. Noa's face is back to normal and she's smiling brightly. They step apart, then draw close together again, spinning around in circles. Benjiro bends forward, a hand curved around Noa's waist like he's going for a dip. The setting switches to a bedroom and they land on the bed, now dressed in pajamas. Benjiro tickles Noa for a bit, making her squirm around and giggle. They fall asleep eventually.
A close-up of Noa's face as she wakes up. The next shot is zoomed out to show the other side of the bed is empty. Noa reaches out and clasps at the bedsheet, as if not used to the other side of bed being empty. She rolls onto her back, raising an arm to press to her head, staring up at the ceiling. The camera slowly zooms out as the scene slowly transitions to Noa in her prison uniform, laying on the plain white bed of her cell. A tear slides down the side of her head. End.

The whole paint splatters thing in her MV is inspired by the MV of Racing into the Night by YOASOBI. :D

Hi! I recently read a post where the OP sort of lists why she relates to Nesta. And I think anti-nestas have missed that point completely. They can't grasp how Nesta could possibly be relatable. So I thought I'd ask, has there ever been a scenario IRL where you felt like you were Nesta? If not, that's cool too. Liking her for her badassery alone is enough but I'm just curious if there's an IRL reason. #IAmNesta
Okay, long answer. Here I go:
I relate to Nesta in the sense that I deal with absolutely everything in an extremely private way. I don't share my feelings until I've already processed them (which takes me forever), I don't ask for advice, I don't ask for help and even when those things are offered to me, I have a hard time accepting them.
Just like Nesta, my reaction to almost everything is isolating myself from the rest, and working on my own to block it. Like, I won't even work on my feelings or intrusive thoughts, I do what my therapist calls "anesthesia", where I simply block things and refuse to acknowledge them. I pretend they don't exist. I think Nesta does the same, but the kind of stuff she is bottling up is obviously of a different magnitude than what I deal with. She is a fictional character!!
We have known since the beginning, because Feyre told us, that Nesta mourned the death of their mother like nobody else. We were told as well she was the one who suffered the most from the loss of their fortune. We then learned that Nesta is a victim of child abuse, both physical from her grandmother and psychological from basically all the adults in her life. We discover that she was groomed her entire childhood and brainwashed into thinking she must marry a prince to ensure the family's future. That's where the people in her life told Nesta her worth as a person was: in her ability to marry. And after accepting such a thing and growing up enduring that kind of abuse, all of a sudden they lose their status, everything she has learned to excel at isn't useful anymore, and apparently she did all that for nothing.
I think her anger is reasonable. I understand her because when I'm unable to understand my own emotions I become angry as well. In my case, I'm angry with myself, not the world or other people, but to others I seem more short-tempered than I usually am. From outside we are regarded as petty or unreasonably unpleasant because our attiture comes "out of nowhere", but it's our own fault, because we won't tell people about what we are going though.
What Nesta did wrong was allowing it to harm her relationship with her sisters, who were blameless. She was I think 14 when they moved out and into the cottage (right after she refused to marry the duke, which probably added to the frustration, although a 14y/o shouldn't have been in that position at all). Their father did nothing, and Nesta simply had never learned how to deal with things in a healthy way, so she lashed out. I'm sad we never got an explanation as to why she was protective of Elain and not Feyre. I personally came to the conclusion it was because her mother used to talk to her about Elain like she was a dumb but pretty girl, and perhaps Nesta wanted to allow her to keep her apparent bubbliness, the protection from the outside world she never got. It could also be because she thought Elain, being the prettiest, still had a chance to find a good match, while she considered herself and Feyre hopeless.
What I respect from Nesta, maybe because it happens to me as well, is that she is aware of how her actions affect others (again, we are on different levels lol). She knows she is hurting Feyre, and she hates that about herself. Perhaps she doesn't do the same thing to Elain because, while Feyre clearly has no issue fighting back, Nesta assumes Elain couldn't, and the damage would be greater??? The thing is that she never asks Feyre to understand her reasons. Does that make sense? Like, she is aware of how horrible she is being, and if Feyre wanted to cut ties with her, she wouldn't blame her. In fact, when Feyre wants to go back to save Tamlin, Nesta encourages her to go and be happy. She knows Feyre desserves better than a life with her in it.
Nesta won't get upset and ask her sister to be more understanding, which I think is better than thinking she is entitled to other people's compassion and patience. As I see it, that's why when they get their money back she is willing to give Feyre anything she needs, even if helping fae is considered treason. Because she feels guilty and believes she owes Feyre for putting up with her and not leaving. In my opinion, Feyre refusing to give up on her only makes Nesta feel worse about herself.
I don't know, I liked that she is not delusional about her toxic behavior, and that when she pushes people away, she doesn't expect them to fight back to stay in her life. She never demands others to empathize with her, and after lashing out, accepts whatever they decide to do. Because as someone who struggles to allow people in or accet help, I would never expect people to put me before their own mental health, and that's where I relate to her.
I saw that being the main issue between Feyre and Nesta after ACOWAR. Feyre will fight forever to have the sister she wants. Nesta sees it differently. Nesta thinks "if Feyre doesn't want to put up with me, she can disappear from my life, I won't blame or resent her for her choices." But Feyre is so convinced she wants Nesta in her life, she won't stop trying. And that insistence is hurting both. Nesta can't fit into what Feyre wants, and feels guilty because she still feels in debt with her sister, but can't give her what she wants. She can't fit into Feyre's life as she is, and the chance of not being in the life of her sister at all is taken from her. She MUST be in it. Feyre goes to the extreme to prevent Nesta from leaving her... but there is still no room for her if she doesn't change herself. Seeing things won't work, Nesta wants out of it. Feyre wants to force her to stay... hence the bribery to have her at the birthday party that only made both miserable, the intervention, the imprisonment, etc. Nesta would rather be rejected by her sisters than have them hate her, because she knows herself and knows she will constantly let them down. And I relate to her for that.

!!TOH FINALE SPOILERS!!
A small one, but still go and watch it it's soo good
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Honestly, I think the finale was great. Amazing animation, voice acting was fantastic, ending was sooo cute, Kings dad is the best "boi", all characters have those gorgeous expression. Even fact it was a little bit to rushed, because tfu-tfu- Disney's politics and I won't forgive them this mistake, doesn't bothered me at all and whole story was entertaining, engrossing and smooth. My only two issues were lack of personal/deeper backstory of Philip and Collector's arch ending.
While in the first one there is nothing to do about it, just not enough time for the flashbacks. Even with King's dad possibility of using cubes to show it, just animators and Dana couldn't put it in 55 minutes of very condensed episod with a lot of archs to finish.
The Collector's arch could work out well, if it was a possibility of adding one maybe two sentences. Whole issue in their arch is that they go back to the stars(supposing to the Archivists) and them being "alone" again(my opinion). What they was learning during this episode was how to be kind and forgive others. And I didn't noticed anybody in entire show who could be reason for Collector's not-forgiving trait/did something to Collector and they feel angry with so badly they can't forgive them besides their siblings, who betrayed Collector in the past. So probably this part of their lesson was inclined to their relationship with own kind. We saw Collector being scared, mad and sad with the Archivists actions and lies, but only this. It doesn't give any information about their relationship, only about one very specific situation. If in Collector's short retrospection about their past was sentence like: "I loved my siblings, they always played with me games I chose and cared about me, but they lied to me and used me(rest of their story) " whole ending would make sense. They learnt with Luz, King and Eda about forgiving others, even when they did something horrible. It would make Collector rethinks their relationship with the Archivists and chooses to try work things out with them - going back to the stars. And when Collector would be with their family, they could learn them about mortality(maybe all collectors don't understand idea of dying and that's why they just do collecting in such a nasty way and uses force when sb doesn't obey them - how could they know they can't regain someone's personality(a lofe of the brain) after the death, if they didn't experience it or can recreate, but only in own specie) and kindness. It all would make sense and erase both loneliness issue and going back to the stars issue. Honestly I wanted sth like this as the Collector's arch end, but yeah just one more sentence and it would be perfect for me.
This comment is not meant to blame Dana, animators, storyboarders or anybody from The Owl House crew that they did something wrong. As I said before not their fault, that Disney "stabbed them in the backs" and forces them to condense such a great and complex story in such a small amount of time. I just feel a little bit dissatisfied with this two arch and this is my idea to make them satisfying, if I had anything to say. But I don't.
I'm glad with what I've got and really appreciate impact of the owl house on media and me💛
