Harry’s back in the Lost Caverns, again searching for Rhonda, Quickclaw and the Raj Diamond. Unlike Sega’s arcade game, this is an attempt to adapt Pitfall II directly. Micronics handled the port for Pony Canyon, and in typical Micronics fashion, managed to botch the whole thing.

Summary:

Son Son is Capcom's tribute to a Chinese legend called Xiyou Ji, meaning 'Journey to the West', considered to be one of the four classic pieces of Chinese literature. The main character in Xiyou Ji is Sun Wukong, or, when the words are pronounced as if they were Japanese kanji, Son Gokuu (hence the name Son Son).

All of Son Wukong's companions besides Zhu Bajie (Pigsy) are snatched by a demon and it's up to the two of them to chase after the demon and rescue them. The game auto-scrolls with multiple platform "tiers" and the player must switch between them and attack incoming enemies with their weapon. By switching tiers, the player can collect score items.

A fiddlestan drawing from about a week ago! I drew it the day after the last one I did. And it WASN'T intentional, but I basically drew the same thing twice. Fidds with his arm around Stan, Stan smooching him, yellow background (happy color :')). I guess I'm just really enamored with the idea of stan doting on a very happy fiddleford!

This was VERY inspired by the CRAZY AMAZING INCREDIBLE art of @wav3y-zzz! I just had to stop everything I was doing, and try my hand at using microns + colored pencils. This definitely didn't turn out as good as theirs but I can't expect perfection when I don't actively practice this medium! Maybe I'll try it again sometime.

My scanner did not pick up the colors well... the phone photo picked up the yellow better.
