most wild lost media story you’ve heard

this one's pretty well known since it's tumblr but it's still my favorite for the concept of it alone: The Tumblr Sexyman Fighting Game. that's not what it was called but no one actually remembers what it's called so that's sort of just what it's known as

it was pretty much exactly what it sounds like. a fighting game- surprisingly well made for a game initially created in a few days as a joke- which featured multiple tumblr sexymen. it started out as a strictly sexyman fighting game but later on the creator added a few more random characters just because they could. the main ones that we have records of are hatsune miku, spongebob squarepants, and luigi from super mario. there were some others, which unfortunately have been lost to time after nintendo came after the dev for trying to sell the game. there's surprisingly little record of the game for how well known it was at the time, but if you've seen that low quality video of hatsune miku beating the shit out of the onceler, this game is where it came from.

a small team of indie devs have been working on recreating the game, though. it's not a perfect recreation and it's still in beta but you can currently find it on itch.io

i think its. very funny they invented mike just because they didnt have bob odenkirk for one episode and they were like "ok QUICK we need to invent a new guy that could take over saul goodmans parts for this episode" and then mike appeared and said "alright. now heres what yer gonna do. yer gonna give saul goodman a break for this episode and bring me onto the show. and then, im gonna take over his scenes and add a more serious tone to the season finale than what saul goodman would've given. after that, yer gonna give me a main leading role in the following seasons til the end of the show"

the writers are still confused how he showed up but they dont question it. the season finale was actually based on an experience the writers had while they were figuring out how to write the finale without saul goodman

Ok hear me out. I HATE the new updates don’t get me wrong but the little side chapter dedicated to jade and roxy 💖💕💖 like THEYRE SO CUTE I can’t believe jaderoxy became canon it’s insane ☺️ also all the attention to the wlw relationships of the series it’s such a breath of fresh air

Yeah!! And it's a really good mix of digging into existing important dynamics, like Rose/Kanaya, and all these new ones popping off like Jade and Roxy!!

...I hope it gets worked into the story more though? The main plotline is ALL OVER THE FUCKING PLACE so i get why they have to take all these little asides to dig into character stuff, but what guarantee do we have that it means anything in the long run.

The right-wing misinformation mill is more active than ever. Know the facts: the child did not have strange symbols on his skin, and if he did, the birds ate them. Mr. Biden was not chanting in Latin while it occurred, because his jaw was still resetting. The doves are not Chinese robots; the feathers that fell on the Corn Palace after their sudden disappearance are genetically identical to the common Dove. I'm begging you: will you help us fight the tide of misinformation and re-elect the potentially doveless Joe Biden? Or do you want to let Donald Trump be the one full of murderous doves?

So I don't use a lot of social media for this very specific reason: I find that there are a lot of ableist and stigmatized attitudes and I no longer have the energy to fight sometimes. (I realize this is a stereotype but I am speaking from my experience.) But outside of Tumblr, I do have a friend/dating (am not dating just use for friends/meeting people in my area) app installed that I mostly ignore. However, today, I got a notification that the app's question of the day was "Would you date someone who is disabled and can't walk?" Here are some of the top posts from that. As a disabled person, I am thoroughly disgusted. (Except by the meme. That person wins.)

I used to be part of this (sometimes unknowingly) ableist culture and actually identified as differently abled myself because I was so high-masking. I used to think that because I was AuDHD I could say differently abled because I was super creative. But that's not showing the full picture. My autism is disabling in the sense that I have meltdowns if things don't go a certain way, I have to have my things sorted in a certain way before I can play with them, there are certain rules/I can be bossy/very rigid when engaging with others because I don't understand social rules. The list goes on.

It's called a disability because it disables you. My autism doesn't make me fucking superman. I can't fly because of it. I can't do things that neurotypical people can't. Sometimes I can notice patterns? But I also have multiple meltdowns and it takes me 45 minutes+ to figure out how to fix an error I made when I accidentally shipped something to the wrong place....I have a master's degree and had a 4.0 in grad school. I was HIGH MASKING because I knew how to play the game. Just because I look like I can do things doesn't mean I'm not just scripting my way through it. I just read a lot and like research. I used to write 20 page research papers for fun. My EDS, fibromyalgia, and POTS all impact my ability to stand and walk. I use a wheelchair the majority of the time. That also doesn't suddenly mean I can see through walls or have telekinesis.

You know what it means? It means I lay in bed the majority of the time with my heating pad, THC cream, muscle relaxers, ibuprofen, and numerous braces, and just try to not go out of my mind. Which is hard when you're also mentally disabled. So like that person is just spreading harmful misinformation.

Let's talk about the person who said they can't run away. O.o Like I assume they're joking but like that's hella creepy. Red flags. I'll hit him with my cane if I have to.

Death work, death magic and/or necromancy are not a closed practice in itself.

I have no clue where people keep pulling this bs from but they do and as a death worker myself I'm tired of it. First of all, death is universal. Do you know a culture that doesn't have some form of belief and rituals surrounding death? Me neither. This simple fact makes death work open to anyone, because it's something EVERY SINGLE CULTURE HAS.

Of course, certain practices within death work are closed when they're tied directly to a closed culture/belief. But death work in itself is open.

People who claim otherwise often don't have any proper sources or arguments and it stems from a feeling of edgy superiority over other witches and practitioners that shouldn't be tolerated in our community. Not only that, but it also lowkey feels like a mockery towards actual closed practices.

Do research! Don't believe anything you see someone say without a second thought, folks!!
