rewatching merlin and 3 thoughts:

my god this really is so gay

gwen and arthur had more chemistry before they got together and back then they literally had none. they were sorta good in the once and future queen but mostly bc gwen was a girlboss in that episode. but like do they expect us to ship gwen and arthur when merlin and arthur are…like that?

the morgana and merlin thing felt so random but also not and they would have been such a power couple. 6/10

Or? But what about… both? 😏

I’m going to do MerlinxMithian real fast because it’s an easy one to me. I don’t see anything in this ship really at all. They barely interact so there’s just not much for me to latch onto. I do like Mithian as a character, but them together has never crossed my mind.

Ok, now for Mergana.

So, it’s not often that I see a character not only being chained up by another, but ALSO having their wounds cleaned by them, and NOT feel any sexual tension. They did that though and I felt no tension other than actual angry tension.

I think Morgana and Merlin as a couple makes an interesting concept, but I don’t think it works in execution. A big reason for this is honestly that Morgana gives me big lesbian energy and Merlin gives me big bisexual with a preference for men energy.

This meme sums up how I feel about it pretty well lol

I would’ve loved to have seen more of their friendship though. I do find their dynamic interesting.
