So I know you do digital art, but The Hanged fireMan looks like a watercolor. Do you work with watercolors as well, or is it the program you use?
(please brag about your art process, basically)
Yeah! So I do all my (fan)art in everyone’s favourite innuendo of an art program, Procreate. (Specifically on a 2019 ipad pro with a 1st gen Apple Pencil, both of which I would tentatively recommend if you can get them 2nd hand for less than 200euro like I did)
I did a lot of painting as a teenager, and still paint often to this day. Though I mostly worked in acrylics, I have been known to use watercolours (like, when I was in college I bought a little 3euro paint set and would use the inside of cardboard cereal boxes as diy watercolour paper and paint wild little Irish landscapes… and Winter Soldier fan art, sometimes. 2017 was a different world)
So in summary - I ‘paint’ digitally using some very traditional techniques I picked up over the years, and I kinda prefer digital art now, which I will elaborate on below the cut as I detail how I created The Hanged fireMan…
I’ll start with my favourite digital art ‘cheat’ which is that I use So Many Layers. Like seriously, pretty much every new colour goes on its own layer because I am a control freak and love being able to tweak them all as needed. So for this relatively simplistic piece, I’ve still got something like 20 layers all together.
I’m also usually better at grouping layers but in this one I gave up at some point and it felt dishonest to group them nicely before showing you guys lol
Tumblr media
So yeah layers is my biggest hack, but the other is using specific texture brushes
I spent a while playing around with various brushes before finding this Tarraleah one which has just the most delicious watercolour-y texture and a really fun edge to it (and it’s got pressure sensitivity, so I can really control the amount of colour I want to put down on the page)
This background was painted entirely with the 1 brush & colour, and I think it turned out pretty cool. For this particular piece I did have a reference on screen to work off for the most part, but those clouded were just painted with my heart
Tumblr media
Next (or maybe before, it’s a while sinceI drew this and sometimes I mix it up) is the lines, which are always done with my best friend, the Procreate Pencil!! I love her, she’s so fuzzy and textured and also if you tilt the tip on the pencil you get a broader line (like with a real pencil) which is just the coolest thing!
When it comes to lines I just sort of go for bigger shapes 1st and details later, and basically always with some kind of reference. I also use a very old & well known trick of putting the most detail into the object of most importance, and leaving the background more loose and vibey
Artists will tell you that this is to draw focus with details. Artists are lying. It’s cause we got lazy after drawing he fun part & phoned the rest of it in lol (I know this because I am an artist)
Also I love this pencil because I don’t have very steady hands and I actually cannot draw straight/smooth lines to save my life! If you’ve ever seen anything resembling a smooth line in something I’ve drawn, it is almost certainly a whole bunch of lines over each other and then erased at the edges to make it look neater
But who needs straight lines when sketchy sketch lines are so fun!
Tumblr media
Next is flat colours (the 3layers in the middle with check marks beside them)
I used the same colours as the background, which you can tell from where they completely blend together right down the bottom, and what I genuinely do is use the Tarraleah brush to generally block out he shape, and then go back in with an eraser and smooth out the lines
Why do I do this? …good question
Tumblr media
Next is one of my favourite parts, which is adding the lights! Procreate has some really fun -glowy- layer effects - my favourite is probably Add (A) though Colour Burn (CB) is great too for its vibrancy.
Also those 2 layer 11s are there because I duplicated one and then used the ‘Gaussian Blur’ feature to ‘fuzzify’ it (yes, that’s the technical term) It’s a pretty quick and easy way to add a more diffused light effect around something. (I did the same for the yellow reflective strips on the turnouts too!)
Tumblr media
Last step now! So full disclosure - I absolutely traced that writing from a photo of a tarot card lol. I actually always trace writing, as, much like drawing straight lines, I’m bad at handwriting on a screen
I also stumbled upon the Exclusion (E) effect by accident - Originally it was going to be a plain cream boarder like a traditional tarot card had, but I wasn’t fully happy with it, so I just flipped through a few layer effects and as soon as I got to this one, I knew it was the right choice
I love the dreamy contrast of the pinks and purples to the dark navy and grey & how it makes everything looks kinda unreal and outer-spacey
Tumblr media
And yeah that’s about it! Everything else comes from my 15+ years of Practical Art Knowledge but these are the specifics of how I utilise it digitally!
This was a lot of fun to write out, and I hope that if you’ve made it all the way here, it was fun to read too!

WISH HELLO!!
ive started drawing and making transformers characters and want to know how the hell do you draw them so good?!!!?!?
if you've got any tips and tricks for drawing silly robots id love to hear them thank you ;-;
Hullo~
When it comes to drawing canon characters, it's just a lot of references. A LOT of them xD The amount of IDW Megatron and Ravage refs I had for my small comic was staggering but very useful.
I also keep in mind that, while the bots are fairly humanoid in appearance and build, their anatomy is "broken". Usually, when you draw a fleshy humanoid character, be it a human or a furry, you have baselines and shapes that are generally the same for most characters, like where the shoulders and clavicle are. The proportions of the body parts are also pretty normal.
When it comes to bots (outside of the Transformers Animated series), those baselines and shapes are somewhat different, especially when the bot has an alt mode with various (clunky) parts like wheels. Shoulder joints are suddenly further away from what we are used to with humans. There is no clavicle. The shoulder and hip joints barely align. Chests can be absolutely massive while the head is tiny. Arms can be so long, their hands go past their knees.
So you have to throw some logic out of the window there to add all those boxy shapes or vehicle parts.
And heck, sometimes a bot design, or at least parts of it, doesn't make much sense either when you compare it to their alt mode, and that is okay! You have to take liberties sometimes. And never forget....
Tumblr media
That said, I've drawn a lot of bots in the past. It was nearly two decades ago but they were my bread and butter, so to speak. I have some experience with them, so please don't think I worked a miracle with my latest round of TF art x'D They are still as tough as nails to draw (even more so to render, IMO!) but they don't need to be perfect. Heck, I am still adjusting Starflare's design and that's okay.
So take your time, find your preferred style and method by trying things out, and go with what looks good to yourself.

Thinking about some headcanons of the differences between the Agency and Zoraxis
Sticking a linebreak in here because I have no impulse control and wrote like, 700 words
The Agency:
In my eyes, they are severely underfunded. Their facilities are practically ancient. You know how your school always has that one part that hasn't been refurbished in decades? Yeah, that's pretty much their entire base of operations, no matter which location you look at.
I'd like to imagine the sense of community is either really strong or really strained. If you're working in, say, HR, I feel like you'd have a really nice bond with your coworkers. However, on the other hand, there's the EOD. I feel that they, would have a tense atmosphere. I mean, if your coworkers were dying every other day, I wouldn't really want to get attached. Even still, there are always a few EOD agents that have grown close to each other and they never deal well with the loss of their coworkers.
The Agency, however, has a very good training programme for their prospective field agents. I envision it as something like past (surviving) field agents or handlers teaching the new recruits all their tips and tricks. (and how to disarm a bomb effectively)
Everyone has absolutely horrible pay. Sure, you might be in the EOD, risking your life on a daily basis, but you'd only just be able to afford a small apartment. The higher-ups consider it almost pointless: they'd just die anyway so why waste all that precious money?
I feel that all Handlers who are ex-field agents would be best friends. They'd all joke about their numerous near-death experiences on the daily. Sort of like the fond retellings we hear Phoenix's Handler talk about over the course of the games. I think they have a shared break room of sorts near their offices.
Zoraxis:
I'd think that they have top-notch facilities- state-of-the-art shit. (they are a very successful business, after all) I'm talking fancy architecture and everything. I feel like they'd be the kind of place where they have those Dyson hand dryers and very nice-smelling soap.
Unlike the Agency, I think the Zoraxis employees/operatives would be relatively nice to each other. Their relationships wouldn't be based on their departments cause I feel like being assigned to a life-threatening mission only happens once (they almost always due to lack of experience)
However, Zoraxis has terrible training programmes. They want to save money so they just stick their new recruits into a single building and hire the cheapest self-defence teachers they can put onto a salary.
Zoraxis employees have a pretty good paycheck, all things considered. They pay a decent amount over minimum wage so most people are able to live somewhat comfortably. I feel like one of the selling points of getting a job is their ability to provide accommodation if needed. They'd have enough money to buy a few apartment blocks for their new hires.
Similarities:
Okay, be so real, they'd both suck at doing background checks. The Agency because they can't really be picky for their field agents and Zoraxis because they don't give a shit. You could be a murderer and they'd just let you walk in with no trouble. Hell, you could probably fake your documents and no one would bat an eye.
The director and Zor rarely show their faces around the building. I feel like all the employees would spread the most out-there rumours about them.
They both have some employee of the month system. Zoraxis gives them out when they remember they have it. The lucky employee gets a little certificate and a small bonus on their next paycheck. At the Agency, Phoenix just has, like, so many. It's like, twenty picture frames in a row and yes, there is absolutely no variation in selected images, just the Agency-mandated ID photo everyone takes on their first day. They get nothing for it, just the gift of staring at their mug every time they are forced to wait for their Handler outside his office.

here's my modeling summary YIPPEE... for like most of these i found myself shocked that they happened This Year... like what do you mean sionia (hi damien) was finished back in april...
well anyways... my thoughts on modeling, the lessons i've learned, my relationship to art, and more... it is probably going to be long and personal towards the end but i hope i can share something for all of you...
i realized i'm not sure where i could start. HAJDSFHAJSDF i was gonna talk about each model but i think that it'd make this post too long and i think it's actually better to just get into the lessons i've learned
and with that said i'd like to talk about RIGGING! it has always plagued me but i realized you could just parent the object/mesh to the armature and hit automatic weights in blender and then you'll just have to adjust after. like i actually feel like an idiot doing a lot of my rigging manually and i know Technically you're gonna have to do manual work anyways because i just said you'll have to adjust after it does the process in blender but like. my rigs were hilariously bad HJRGJFHDG like i didnt realize there was an easier way... until past sakura miku there... which btw still proud of that one even if it was a little silly with the rig there. i think if anything doing all that manual rigging did prepare me for the adjusting i'd eventually would have to do with automatic weight painting.
i'd say other aspects of rigging like physics and adding shapekeys/expressions are all pretty easy to me. well more so shapekeys, physics is still kinda hell but not bad. at least i'm not intimidated by them compared to when i was first starting out. i still find myself just doing the same old trick of using animasa's bone setup and then importing that to blender so not much has changed there tbh. if anything i just add upperbody2 manually and 0 bones for fingers and that's it... which by the way... a little tip for anybody getting into modeling just subdivide the bones so you dont go crazy and then adjust after.
also a little ahead of myself here... giving you a Glimpse into my new year plans but i also learned how topology and the amount of vertices you have can affect rigging a bit too. you don't want too much or too little but i added a bit more loops to my upcoming utena and anthy models and they deform better so i feel happy about that too. as an example, the legs would deform bad but after adding loop cuts at the hips area the lowerbody and upperleg bones are weight painted automatically much more nicely so now the legs deform better.
another thing i'm proud of is for my vtuber model, i got to paint and actually shade my textures. what i mean by that is, if you couldn't tell, all my models are mainly flat with the exception of the eyes being really detailed but other than that things would just be flat with no shading at all but i'm glad i got to actually challenge myself this year. i also went asset hunting on clip studio paint for some brushes so that was nice. i also got used to that program a little more too so i'm happy. i hope i can do it more in the future because it's actually kinda fun as freak HRJHGJFG
well anyways, i think i'll get a little personal here now and i hope i won't be too overbearing. but i realize since i don't really have much for myself but art i guess i should keep going at it. i was organizing my files on my computer not too long ago and when i took a look at my art folder i realized i've been doing all this 3d modeling stuff since 2020 and it is now 2023 and soon it will be 2024. i have not had income since this pandemic has began and not gonna lie... i feel stressed because if an emergency happens, i'm not gonna be prepared for it. and it's kinda hard to not stress about that. idk i just wish this pandemic didn't happen because i felt like i could still work some bad job while pursuing on the side and i'd be fine with that and i'd live comfortably but. well. we're here now. and when this pandemic started i was rushed into this so in some ways i feel inadequate
but! i realize i have came a long way. i didn't think i'd do this but it's been fun modeling. it's fun to shape, it's fun to model because to me it feels like a puzzle. although i know i could be better at rigging, it's fun to rig anyways. i would make jokes about how i hate texturing, but once you uv unwrap and clean up the islands after, it's actually really nice. i also got to animate a bit in MMD this year, i did some video editing as well in davinci resolve, and i also got to practice creating normal maps with my symphony miku model earlier this year.
when i look back at this, i guess i am being hard on myself. i have made progress and i do enjoy making art. i enjoyed learning the new skills this year too especially since i challenged myself to render something in blender for the first time and editing the render in clip studio paint. it feels good to finish projects.
i guess i hate how hard life is and i hope i can have income soon. the income part is my biggest issue. there are somethings i have thought about in regards to making money... but idk. i definitely do see myself opening commissions one day though.
so uhm... i guess i'll end this off with my artistic resolutions for this upcoming year...
sculpt more next year
paint/texture more it's fun
rig better
release more models? (or probably just keep it to oomfs only most likely)
remake my models
take my time
research more
learn more
render in blender more
stop being hard on yourself
thanks for reading, i hope my writing was bearable and i hope i made sense. RHJGHFJG but i also hope this new year will be good for everyone too. thanks again and love you all YAAAS

Does anyone know anything about using Tri-Chem Liquid Embroidery? My grandma recently gave me a frankly ridiculous amount of the stuff that she found at Goodwill because she knows I like to paint.
I have a few ideas on how to use it, but getting it out of the tubes has been an issue. The ball thingy at the top is stuck or something? Not sure how best to explain, hopefully the pics help.
Pretty sure these paints are also just. Extremely Old, so they may not even work, but I like free art supplies so I'm hoping they do.
Close-ups of the tips (they say they are ball-point tips)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Close-up of the tubes, one of which claims to be scented???
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And a visual representation of what I mean when I say "A frankly ridiculous amount". This is not even all of the paint tubes.
Tumblr media
Anyway, if anyone has any info on these, that would be great! Doesn't even have to be related to my question. Talk at me about anything fabric painting-related.
I have not done this since my Homestuck phase like eight years ago, and the shirts I made back then were incredibly simplistic in both design and execution, so if anyone wants to info-dump at me about techniques or tricks they use, or just clothing customization in general, I would enjoy that very much.

Hi I'm stalking your art tag because you're SO GOOD and just?? How did you improve so much? My art looks the same from like. 10 years ago. How do you do what you do
First of all, thank you so much!! You’re such a sweetie!I am by no means an art teacher. I feel like you have to have a certain mindset to be a teacher, and I don’t have one of those mindset. I’m not good at it, so I don’t teach, but I will give you some really helpful stuff I wish I’d figured out earlier.
Second of all I’m going to give you a boring answer you don’t want to hear and I don’t want to say:
Practice.
Now, here’s the more fun answer that I’m hoping is more helpful:
Practice while you’re going. Every time I draw is a chance to practice. I’ll draw and redraw poses and edit them about a dozen times before I settle on it for lining! In one of my most recent drawings I have AT LEAST 29 layers of me drawing, redrawing, and tweaking the poses.
Practice can mean sitting down and doing 20 hand sketches, or practice can mean something different. Find out what method of practice works best for you. Sometimes drawing a thousand hands doesn’t help, and it’s okay if it doesn’t help you. Find another method!
Don’t settle on your first draft! Redrawing something is not only improving the drawing, but giving you experience for the future!
Draw from life, i know, that’s really basic. But still, it helps!
Make practice fun! Motivate yourself to practice by using things you enjoy drawing. Are you garbage at drawing hands, but you love drawing aliens? Draw aliens with a bunch of hands. This is a really basic example, but you get the jist!
My babe and I recently (before I came down with tendonitis and had to take a break) would watch a dance video where the dancers are wearing relatively snug clothing, pause it at a random place, set a timer for 5 minutes and draw whatever pose we got. (you can obviously do a shorter time if you want!) It helped a lot with foreshortening, movement, and making bodies look more 3d.
Speaking of which this won’t help your art any but it’ll help your health: S T R E T C H before, after, and while you draw, okay? You know that tendonitis I mentioned? Yeah, guess who didn’t stretch. Find stretches that work for you. Wrists, back, neck. Walk around a little every once in a while. Drink water. Eat. Take care of yourself.
Practice SMART, not just practice. Figure out what you want to strengthen in your art style. If you want to focus on improving the fluidity or readability of your poses, doing half hour studies of detailed landscapes or portraits isn’t going to help with that. Doing 1 minute speed-sketches of exaggerated poses might, though. Same goes for if you want to get better at drawing landscapes and detailed portraits.
You’ll get something out of it, so if you want to do these things do them! They’re fun! but don’t draw nothing but anime eyes and wonder why you can’t draw a skyscraper perfectly.
REFERENCE. U S E R E F E R E N C E
I’m gonna break this wall of text up with a doodle of a kitten because it’s a lot
Tumblr media
Don’t be afraid of shitty anatomy! Sometimes to get the right perspective, it has to look weird. Making mistakes helps you learn what to improve. What works and what doesn’t. And, in my experience, the pieces I obsessed over were the pieces I felt like aged the worse, while pieces I had fun doing and relaxed drawing are still pieces I really love.
All in all, just don’t be afraid of mistakes. You’ll make them, just have fun making them.
EXPERIMENT, EXPERIMENT, EXPERIMENT! Experiment with colors. With more lineweight, with less lineweight, with weird anatomy and proportions, try out aspects of art styles you love, try out aspects of art styles you hate! Just have fun!
Step out of that comfort zone! Learn something new! You don’t have to curate an entire art exhibit on horses if you can’t draw horses, but sketch a couple at least.
Take bits and pieces from everywhere and adapt them to what works best for you. Does this method of sketching not work for you? Okay, change it. Find a new one. Find one that works better. That includes this list of tips! If something I’m saying doesn’t work for you? IGNORE IT! find something new. Don’t try to force yourself to work in a box that doesn’t work for you. It’ll just make you feel inadequate, and instead of spending time improving, you’re spending time trying to fit into the box.
I can’t give you too many super specific tips because I don’t know your art style or what you want to improve, but in general, just experiment and adapt to whatever works best for you.
This one is more of a catch all for developing your art, not nesecarilly improving it: Don’t treat things like color theory as sacred rules of the land that cannot be broken. Learn anatomy, learn color theory, learn about lineweight and how it works, learn about light and shadow! But keep in mind; they’re a guide for how things work, not an instruction manual. Do whatever you think looks cool, even if that isn’t what other people say looks good.
Learn at every opportunity! You think that lighting is cool? Try to replicate it. You watched a speedpaint and you liked their technique? try it out for yourself. Like that color palette? Analyze what you like about it and try to replicate that feeling.
Draw as often as you can! And “draw as often as you can” does not mean draw until your hands and arms hurt! It means draw a little when you have some time, if you have the energy. Don’t hurt yourself.
Time for another kitten break
Tumblr media
Take a step back if you don’t like how something’s turning out. close it up, have something to eat, sleep on it, work on something else, whatever. If you’ve just been looking at it too long, that’ll fix it. And if there’s actually something off, you’ll come back to it less frustrated and with fresh eyes!
Draw fingernails on hands. This sounds really weird and dumb and random but it literally upped my hand game by at least 25%. It does WONDERS for portraying the angle of the hand.
A major chunk of my artistic development and improvement was done in a very unhealthy way. When I was younger, I would push myself to pain, I’d stay up until 3-6 am drawing something, I’d cry at least once every two weeks because I wasn’t good enough. I improved a lot very quickly, but I pushed myself way too hard because I was so desperate to improve…
Don’t do that. I mean it. I’m very thankful for the growth i achieved in that time, but if you can avoid that phase, do. It’s better to improve slowly and keep a healthy relationship with your art than to push yourself so hard that art becomes a chore and you lose your passion, or even hurt yourself.
Finished not Perfect
Your art has improved!! I promise it has, it may not seem like it but it has! You don’t see it right away, but every single drawing is a little better than the last as long as you keep striving to learn a little more with every drawing. Everything grows at a different pace, and you’re growing at the right pace for you.
You’re good enough right now! Have goals for what you want to do with your art, not standards for how “good” you need to be!
I’m sorry this post is long, I wish I could say “I sacrificed my soul to the art demons” but… I can’t say that. I didn’t do anything special.
Draw as much as you can, draw what makes you happy, draw new and exciting things, and surround yourself with art, artists, and people that inspire you!
BEND ART TO YOUR WILL AND MAKE IT YOUR PET
If you know an art demon that might help too idk?
aaaand here’s one more incredibly small, incredibly round kitten

I’m bored and procrastinating on an animation, so instead of actually doing it, I decided to rant about animation! Here are tons of my tips and tricks for animating. Feel free to use any of them to improve your own works fellow animators! This post will be divided into four sections; Motivation and burnout, Art/drawing tips, Transitions, and Programs. Please keep in mind I am in no way an expert or claiming to be one, however I do art for a living, and I’ve been animating for nearly six years now, so I feel like I probably know a thing or two. Motivation and Burnout: -Take constant breaks however often you need. This can be every 30 minutes, every time you finish a scene, hell, even every time you finish a frame. Stretch, watch a short YouTube video, get something to eat, ex. I personally don’t have a break schedule, just whenever I’m bored, tired, or have finished an amount I feel satisfied with for the day. Find what works best for you! -Listen to something as background noise. This can be songs you really like, a podcast, a musical soundtrack, youtube videos, streams, audio books, or whatever else your heart desires. You can listen to white noise or rain sounds or something like that, but I personally prefer something that engages my brain. (You can also use this to encourage breaks. If you’re at a bit of a podcast that you just can’t focus on whilst drawing, take a five minute break to focus on it alone! Your favorite song to bop out to comes on? Stand up and dance around in your workspace, sing along, just have fun!  -Have a food or drink next to you! I always like having something to munch or slurp on when drawing or animating. Make sure these snacks are smaller though, I’d recommend dedicating actual meal time to break time.  -This is a bad habit of mine and I’m sure many other artists, but if you’re demotivated, don’t try and trudge through unless there’s some form of deadline. If you’re simply animating for YouTube or something, just take a break! There’s no shame in doing so, and you’ll find that you actually work much faster when you are motivated, so the break helps with efficiency rather than hinders it. -Set goals for yourself! Make them reasonable and not too out of reach. Say something like, “I’d like to draw 20 frames today.”, “I’d like to finish this storyboard by the end of the week.”, “I’d like to finish this scene today.”, “I’d like the animation to be done within a month and a half.” Make some bigger ones as well as smaller ones to give yourself short bursts of motivation, but also to keep that motivation going in the long run. Art/Drawing Tips: -Choose a simple style. This one kind of goes with motivation, but choosing a super complex art style often leads to the product just never being finished, especially if you’re a beginner. -Practice drawing. Bring a sketchbook with you everywhere and just draw. The better you get at drawing, the better you get at animation -Study other artists work. You can even trace! (Don’t post/claim it as your own EVER), but tracing for personal study is absolutely fine. It helps you figure out the shapes the artist used to make their character look how it does.  -Never be ashamed to use references, they help a ton. -Color matters and can make an animation really pop. Choose a simple palate, what I normally do is assign one color per character, have a color for background objects, and maybe some others if I really want a certain scene or object to stand out against the rest. -Shape language is a really cool tool. Learn it.  -Don’t worry about developing a style. Just draw. The style will come along the way.  Transitions: -(First off, please note that in this section, I say the word ‘character’ a lot. However, these methods apply on objects too! Just wanted to clear that up, you can use them on more than just people.) -Yes, frame by frame looks pretty, and you can use it in that sick action sequence, but also, try making things easier for yourself when you can. The following points will be describing some of my favorite easy transitions.  -Bounce back effects, the one I use the most. Basically, think of a ball bouncing. This ball will smoosh down against the ground, then spring back up, looking elongated as it does so. Or think of a car jerking forwards, before coming back a bit and to a complete stop. These are both bounce back effects. If your character is just changing poses, I’d recommend doing the ball method. smoosh your drawing down, then spring it back up. If your character is moving across the screen, move them just a bit further than their final destination, then bring them back. This makes animation look smoother and saves a ton of time.  -Smear or smudge frames! These are usually used when a character or object is going really fast. Smear the drawing and add a bit of motion blur in the direction a character is going.  -Partial movement frames! Not sure what the technical definition of this is, but this is when a character isn’t fully moving, just a small bit of them is, say they’re waving, or their hair is blowing in the breeze. Copy paste the rest without this bit, and only worry about redrawing that part! -Tweening, okay.. I know what you’re going to say, because the animation community these days is so against tweening. I’ll admit, it doesn’t look the greatest when using excessively, but in small amounts? It can look good. Don’t overuse it, but don’t completely avoid it either. (Tweening is when different body parts are drawn on different layers so that movement can be done without redrawing. However, this only really works for simple movements, so use it sparingly.)  -Even when you are drawing frame by frame, these methods can be important. More so smear and smudge and bounce back, but tweening in some cases as well. You can incorporate these tricks into your frame by frame animation to make it look better as well. They aren’t just used to trick the minds eye into thinking there are in-betweens when there’s not. Programs: -Study your program. This’ll make things go much faster and allow for shortcuts. Animation is all about shortcuts. -Start out with something cheap or free. You don’t want to spend hundreds of dollars on a drawing tablet and expensive programs when you first start. Draw on your ipad or phone if you have one, use flipaclip, imovie, ibis paint, kinemaster, or other free programs. Animation takes a ton of time and if you find in a month that you hate it and want to quit, you don’t want to have waisted hundreds or thousands of dollars.  -That being said, the creative cloud is pretty sweet. If you’re invested and have the money, I’d recommend it.  -Procreate is also amazing. I love it and actually use it to this day, even with having the creative cloud. You can’t do any complex editing but you can make some neat stuff on there.  -Decide what kind of animation you want to do. Do you want it more frame by frame? Get a program like procreate, flipaclip, or adobe animate. More drawn and edited? Try using a drawing and editing program combo. One of my friends uses ibispaint and imovie on her phone. I used to use ibispaint and kinemaster. I now use photoshop and premiere pro.  -Watch tons of YouTube tutorials. Google stuff. Chances are, you may find an easier way to do that thing that’s taken you five hours in the past. And that’s it! Thank you for reading all the way through, I hope these helped! Feel free to ask questions, I’ll try to answer any I may get. Cya! Happy animating

Anonymous asked: "i have ADHD and ASD, I don’t know if they really play a role in my difficulty to write scripts or outlines, but it seems like whenever i want to start a story project and visualise it into writing and art, it just…..doesn’t work? Like, i have story ideas, but the way they come out never meet my satisfaction or, at least, the way i write them, feels too restricting and….i don’t know?
writing scripts, the dialogue feels very bland and tedious - writing outlines is fine for me but i put too much thought into them to the point they are restricting. but, also, when i try to make up a story as i go with a basic plot in mind, i lose a massive sense of direction if i don’t have an outline or script. and i just feel very, very stuck."
If you're just looking for a short-form list of tips and tricks that might help make creating easier, I have a post here that offers advice on writing with ADHD that you may find helpful.
However, I found this question really interesting and wanted to do a more in-depth exploration of the topic of creating with ADHD/ASD and the difficulties that can come with that, as well. I have a lot of thoughts on the topic as an ADHD/ASD creator myself, so it got quite long, but I hope you might find some of them interesting or useful.
-
Do ADHD/ASD Play a Role?
Firstly, I believe that my ADHD and ASD affect just about every part of my life, including my creative process, and I imagine the same is likely true for you. It's entirely plausible (and I would even say likely) that they're playing a part in the conflict you feel when trying to create.
That being said, I also believe that there are ways we can accommodate or work around our unique challenges rather than putting effort into trying to overcome them or letting them get us down. I also don't think your difficulties are exclusively a result of ADHD/ASD, either, and I'll be discussing both points in more detail below.
-
On Meeting Your Own Expectations
I think, at least to some extent, your first paragraph could apply to most creators, regardless of ADHD/ASD.
Very rarely do I find that my works end up matching what I visualise in my mind, and it can often be frustrating and demotivating when what I produce seems inferior to the hypothetical version I had planned or envisioned. And I've seen this same sentiment expressed by a lot of artists and writers.
When those feelings crop up, I try to remind myself that it's okay, nobody else has seen the hypothetical 'perfect version' of what I was trying to create that's in my mind, and they'll be judging the work on its own merits instead. I think an important part of being a creator is consciously working on accepting that things will almost never go exactly as envisioned, and that's okay. It's not a reason to abandon the work, and the more you keep creating, the more practice you'll have getting your ideas down.
It's definitely easier said than done, but as with all creative pursuits, feeling beholden to perfection will ultimately prevent you from getting anything done or growing as a creator, and sometimes you have to just let things go and keep moving forward. A work doesn't have to be perfect to have value and be worthy of praise.
-
On Perfectionism
All that being said, I wouldn't be at all surprised if your ADHD and ASD were compounding on this common experience to a degree. It's very common for people with ASD to be inflexible and extremely detail-oriented, and many an ADHDer can struggle with perfectionism (which I've briefly discussed in the second half of this post). Falling into the trap of obsessively tweaking things until they're just right is pretty easy.
The good news is that I think when you're aware that these are pitfalls you're likely to experience, you can better notice them and implement measures to help you work around them. Better understanding your symptoms and being kind to yourself when you experience them can make the situation less hostile, and researching how to cope with/compensate for them could help not only with your creative process, but other areas of life as well.
-
On Finding Your Creative Process
A big part of creating is finding a process that works for you.
Some people plan in meticulous detail while others fly by the seat of their pants; some prepare outlines and tough drafts and follow the steps in order and others bounce around and make it up as they go.
From the way you're describing things, it sounds like your current process isn't working for you, and you may benefit from changing your approach to creating entirely. You already seem to be consciously aware of the parts that are causing the most difficulty and frustration for you, so the next step is to brainstorm how to modify them to make your creativity more accessible to you.
I, for example, write scenes out of order and constantly go back and add to them as I get new ideas. I also draw my lineart in random sections, moving on to a new one anytime I get bored (even if the current section isn't finished) until it eventually comes together like a patchwork quilt. These are some ways I've found to keep things interesting and keep me engaged in the work, and they may seem weird, but they sure do work!
-
So Let's Do Some Brainstorming
If you overthink your outlines and then feel stifled by them, try deliberately limiting how much detail you allow yourself to include. It's not an 'all or nothing' situation, and you can practise and experiment with varying document layouts and amounts of detail until you've found something that feels more approachable.
If you're currently writing paragraphs, try bullet points, or a flow chart, or sticky notes that you can rearrange. If you plot out every detail, try starting with only the most major events so you always have some direction for where the story is going but still allow for more freedom and creativity. If you spend hours on an outline, try setting a timer so you only have a set amount of time for each point.
And remember that you can change your outline as you go! If you're so caught up in following your outline that it's stifling your creativity, maybe it's an issue of perspective rather than process. Remind yourself that your outline is a tool to help you and that you're free to adjust it whenever it's not serving its purpose.
I don't know what your current process looks like so maybe these specific examples aren't helpful to you, but hopefully they can illustrate how to look at the areas where you're getting stuck and find a way to change them so that they suit your needs. Even if it seems unconventional or doesn't align with the process other people use or have told you to use, it's important to do what works for you.
-
In Summary / TL;DR
Creativity in general often comes down to experimenting until you find a method/process/style that works for you, and that's true for anyone. It's also true that art rarely goes exactly as planned, and sometimes you just have to accept that you've done well enough and move on.
But when you're a creator with ADHD/ASD, it can be extra difficult to do so because of our unique challenges related to internal motivation, perfectionism, and staying focused and flexible. Being aware of your symptoms and the challenges that they might present, and specifically tailoring your workspace and process to account for them while being kind to yourself when you find yourself struggling, can allow you to create with a lot less frustration.
None of these changes will happen instantaneously, but hopefully being aware of them and making the effort over time will help you to start seeing a difference in your work. Good luck!

Haikyuu boyfriends and how well they do as your personal photographer
Tumblr media
Bless their souls but it amazes you how they manage to look at the screen and think “yeah that’s seems alright ”
Ushijima — he genuinely thinks you look good in every pic and that’s sweet but that’s exactly where the issue is. The way he takes a pic from a angle that looks like your legs were cut in half length wise and your eyes were like a dead fish but still thinks you look gorgeous stunning beautiful meant you would not get a pretty picture from the regular public’s standard anytime sooner.
Kageyama — his idea of what “help me take a picture” means is way more simple than what you had meant for it to be. You stand there, he presses the button, that should be it. He doesn’t get why people spend so much time looking for angles, or fixing exposures. It’s a picture????? It goes “click” and that’s it right??? He spends no time looking for a nice angle or even wait for you to pose, resulting in a lot of pics that are out of focused😌
Iwaizumi — he is an “awkwardly flex and puff his chest out while locking his jaw” type of guy himself, he tries but he really has no idea what is flattering and what is not. The grid references confuses him and he gets even more tensed when you try to give him instructions. Somehow always manages to take the picture when you’re blinking or making some sort of weird faces because you felt something on your face.
Not a natural, but they’ll go the extra mile just so you can have your pretty pics for insta
Nishinoya — he goes the extreme for your pics. If you ask him to crouch down to get your best angle, you bet he is gonna get so low on the ground until his arms are near touching the concrete just to give you that long✨leg✨effect✨. If you are an awkward poser or felt uncomfortable when you pose, he’s gonna go out of his way to run around behind to camera to catch your attention so you can have the most natural posture and the best smile.
Tanaka — he belonged to the last category when he was just starting out but then he sees the way you just didn’t post because you thought you didn’t look nice in any of the pics and he was just like “nah fuck that I’m gonna get good at this for your feed”. Follows so many of those “photo hacks”/“posing tips” accounts just so he can help you take nicer pics, now he’s a pro👏🏼
Bokuto — he has no idea what the hell he’s sounds and what he’s supposed to do but he has hella patience when it comes to doing things for you. As long as you look like you’re enjoying yourself and he seems like he’s doing good, he’s all game for taking 1528126826 pictures of you in the same spot with the same pose just to get that (1) perfect picture.
Mediocre photographer, editing KING
Suna — he gets very familiar with the photoshop settings from trying to make memes and stickers packs to clown the twins. The absolute GOD in terms of helping you remove people that got into your frame and making it look seamless. Probably has vsco and those camera apps that tries to make your pics look like they are taken with Polaroids on his phone.
Miya (Atsumu) — he learnt his lesson the hard way after getting clowned by his brother (and later vball teammates) for having wiggly bricks and crooked fences at the back of his pics because he tried to make his waist look smaller and legs longer🥲if you took a pic where you look really hot but “wow my hair doesn’t look fluffy enough” he can probably give you a free perm just by using facetune.
Kozume — he just... he just knows what he’s doing. He has very little patience during the photo taking process, but if you told him there’s a pic you like but you didn’t like this or that he would silently fix all those things and send it back to your without you even asking him to.
Today’s mvp, you should pay them just for how nice your feed got
Oikawa — he seems like the annoying type when he’s the one asking people to take his pics so in returns, he also knows what to do to get the best outcome. He knows all the tricks, all the hacks, the best pose that goes best according to what you want people to pay attention to. He probably has his pick of Instagram filters, one of them is probably that one with the sparkly effect. (But it comes with a cost because the amount of effort he put in for you, he expects you to do the same for him😌)
Akaashi — he just seems like he knows his shit LMAO he probably won’t make you look like an Instagram model but you’re gonna get very aesthetic artsy pics. Super good at finding hidden locations in places where everyone is crowding around that (1) visually pleasing spot and you couldn’t get pictures there without a seat of people at the back. He makes you look like a French art film star and I just think that sounds pretty nice😌
Yachi — not an hq boyfriend, she’s an hq girlfriend BUT THIS GIRL KNOWS WHAT SHES DOING. She works with graphic design right so she knows what proportions and what props to use to get the most balanced structure. She’s gonna make you your own magazine cover if you ask her to. She has a lot of experience with trying to make herself look taller in pics so if that’s what you want, she can make your legs look at least a good several inches longer 😌

hii would j like to say that ive been reading your works since ive got into jjba (around last june) and i absolutely adore your works ♡ you are also incredibly friendly n interactive w all your readers and i rly love how approachable you are! anyway ive been having dio brainrot as of late (ehe) especially sdc dio~ i just want to cockwarm and be spoiled by him, because he absolutely seems like the type to treat his favorite pet with such love and care.. and thinking about my squishy body against his toned and muscular one really gets my gears grinding LMAOOO thank you so much for allowing people to brainrot in your ask box!! i hope you have a good day~
cooling solution - reader x dio (1.7k)
nsfw! afab reader, neutral pronouns. cock-warming, reader is dio’s pet. slight belly bulge. dub-con if you squint but reader is implied to be into it/a willing participant in their status as dio’s pet.
your lord presents a solution to the humid night-time air of egypt.
Lord Dio’s big hand rests gently on the top of your head, fingers petting your hair. You’re kneeling by him, your cheek pressed to his knee, relishing in where he’s all over cool skin in the sticky heat of Cairo. You are wearing very little, by his choice – but still, in a place like this, with someone (something?) like him beside you, even those are too close and uncomfortable.
You sigh, shifting, leaning more into the touch – and Dio chuckles, very low.
“Is something wrong, little morsel?”
Is something wrong? The answer is both yes and no; it’s wrong that you’re not on your Lord’s lap, that you’re not pleasing him, that it’s so hot and sticky and that you’re uncomfortable where you are. But on the other hand . . . nothing is wrong. Not when your Lord Dio is beside you, gifting you with his presence, touching you even in the smallest amount.
“N-no,” you say, after a moment, your voice very soft. “Only--”
“Hmm?” The hand on your head moves, stroking over the soft curve of your cheek to prick his nail into your chin and tip your face up. Your eyes meet his, golden and indulgent – he is always indulgent of you. You are his pampered little pet, and whilst some other occupants of the mansion may rush about and twist their faces into grimace and do all kinds of little chores and odd jobs, your only purpose is to please and amuse Lord Dio.
It is a purpose that you fulfil with great relish.
“You can tell me,” he says, voice soft velvet, comforting like an embrace. “I’ll do anything I can to make you more comfortable, pet.”
The caress of his voice on the soft, fond name makes you press your thighs together in need, reminding you of all of the other times he’s whispered sweet things to you when his fingers or cock have been buried to the hilt inside of you and he’s brought you past your peak over and over again, benevolent in giving you pleasure for he knows that at the end of the night it will be him who has the final gratification.
“It’s just . . . warm,” you say, your cheeks flushing even hotter.
Dio’s golden eyes stay locked on you, but you see the corners crinkle with mirth, the lightest tilt of his carefully painted lips. You are permitted to do that for him, sometimes – your face close to his, your teeth biting into your bottom lip in concentration as you coat every contour of his mouth.
“Oh,” he says. His fingertips move from your chin to brush over your neck, your collarbone – you lean into the touch instinctually again, both because of who it is before you and to chase the coldness of his undead, alabaster skin. “I can help with that, can’t I?”
“I-I would never dream of asking you, my Lord,” you whisper, your eyes widening in case he takes your carefully worded complaint against the air of Egypt as a complaint against him. He’s amused by your attempt; the hand jangling with thick golden bangles moves to grip your upper arm.
“You need not be afraid to make requests of me when I have so much I can give you,” he says, and the words send another bolt of heat through you as he uses his strength to tug you up. “I know that you’re aware my devotion to you comes at the price of your obedience – and I know, too, that you’re a well-trained little pet, hmm?”
“Y-yes, my Lord.”
Your feet are warm on the stone beneath them. The candlelight plays tricks on your body and coverings, showing the curves of your form beneath the sheer, expensive fabrics. Dio’s eyes drink in every inch of you with pleasure that he does not even attempt to hide.
That’s what you are there for, after all – not just a pretty, obedient little pet, but a treasure and an ornament he can enjoy looking at in whichever ways he pleases. If he asked you to rip out your own heart and hold it for him so he may see it, you would stand stock-still as a statue until your last breath forced you to the ground.
“Good,” he’s amused, still. “I see how you bend into my touch. Is my skin a comfort to you, little morsel?”
You nod, biting your lip again. You know what Dio is – you know his skin is marble-cool and chiselled because he is not alive. You ought to be afraid of him, perhaps – but you are hypnotised by his pretty words and the his power, the flex of his muscle when he holds you against him, the whispers of what kind of world he will make for himself and how he wants to have you by his side on your knees always.
“Cool?” He asks, humming, as they brush again over your heated cheeks. “Do you think, perhaps, you would be contented to nestle against me on my lap?”
You sigh at the thought of it – cheek against his chest, big arms and hands holding you in place, the coldness of his skin like a soothing balm.
“I would be honoured, my Lord.”
“Good pet,” He says, and he brushes his thumb over your lips. You open your mouth without thinking, and are rewarded with an emerald-tinted smirk. “Just one condition, yes? I know you’ll be anxious to please me.”
“Of course,” you say, wide-eyed.
Lazily, he reaches for his lower half, fingers expertly undoing the buttons and catches of his complicated outfit. Your mouth goes dry as he pulls out his cock without fanfare, and you see he is already hard. Your body gives another full-length throb that you feel pounding inside you like a heartbeat – you are intimately familiar with this part of Dio’s anatomy. You know what he likes, how he feels, the twitch of it inside you – all by heart.
“You say you’re hot, hmm? The air . . . oppressive. Skin sticky.” Those eyes rake all over you again, and you know he must see the beading of sweat on your forehead, the way your hands dig into palms – the glaze of your eyes as you watch him languidly wrap his big fingers around his cock, pumping the shaft. The slick noise makes your toes curl and your heart skip a beat. “I, however . . . I find myself rather cold, tonight.”
“I’m sorry, my Lord,” you say, through the dryness in your throat. You can barely think. Lord Dio has trained you to see his cock and want nothing more than to have it inside you by any means necessary. “M-may I be of any assistance?”
“Oh, good pet,” he breathes, rubbing his thumb over the tip, where his slit is beading shining pre-come. Your servile devotion, the deferential compliance . . . nothing quite hits him in the same way. “I rather think you might be. Come here.”
He crooks his finger to you, petting his knee with the hand not currently wrapped around his leaking cock. You are smaller than him – as anybody is – and it takes you a moment to manage to perch there. You can already feel the coolness of his thigh leaking through, comforting the warmth of your flesh.
“You won’t need these, hmm?” He hooks a finger into one piece of the fabric that’s covering your body, and lets it flutter to the floor, baring your form to his hungry eyes. You feel radiant under his gaze – at once unworthy, and worshipped. It’s a heady rush, knowing that he’s looking at you and wanting you. There is nothing that quite compares to knowing you are wanted by a God.
You eagerly bend into how he wants you, spreading your thighs wide, straddling him as best you can though the muscle that clings to every line of his body means your legs are stretched in a ‘v’ that is almost painful.
Dio chuckles at you, bringing a hand up to cup your sex. You start at the cool fingers on the very hottest part of you, where you are all slickness and fire. His thumb and forefinger open the plump lips of your labia so he can drink in the sight of you – the swollen nub of your clit, nestled like a pearl in an oyster. The pulsating ring of your entrance, so hungry for something inside of it – and so small that every time Dio looks at it, he wonders how you manage to take him so well.
“You want me too,” he says, and it is not a question but you nod your head frantically even so. The way that he is studying you like a beautiful piece of art is serving to do nothing but make you feel needier to press your body against him in its entirety. How could anyone not want him?
“You’re sweet,” he tells you – and then, he moves his hips just so and the tip of his cock catches against your entrance. Your fingers flex onto his shoulders immediately, by instinct – the ache and stretch of yourself around him momentarily all-consuming. He lets out a soft laugh. “You can hold on,” he murmurs, all soft, as he continues inexorably sheathing himself inside of you, inch by glorious inch. You’re slick from both sweat and desire (Dio could say your name across a crowded room and your body, you know, would react) – but that does not stop the fact that his cock could break you in half, if he wanted it to.
“M-my Lord,” you say, breathlessly, syllables forming and breaking in your throat. “S-so big--”
“Mm,” he says, another torturous inch sinking inside you. “And you, so small and soft . . .”
Your cheeks heat up under the way he says ‘soft’, the rub of his thumb over the plush of your thighs. You are all softness against him indeed – his own stiff body, all cold strength and sinew, in direct opposition to you. Dio never seems to be able to get enough of your body even so; claws and mouth and cock brushing against you, murmuring sweet things, holding and squeezing and enjoying the sight of fingers sinking into flesh.
He hilts his cock inside you, the hand on your thigh once more moving to gently push on your stomach, where his cock is distending the flesh slightly. There’s a smug undercurrent to the way he does it – reacting with unhidden amusement at the little jerk of pleasure you give, to feel him so fully buried inside you.
“You may rest against me,” he tells you – and you do not need to be told again. You shift awkwardly, the feel of his cock inside you not exactly alien, but uncomfortable when you wish to press your cheek against his chest and wrap your arms about his neck in order to feel his cool flesh give you some relief. Dio sighs as you do so, relaxing back into the chair. “There. Now . . . hmm. I have other things to attend to. Pretty thing, You’ll be good and stay here keeping my cock warm, won’t you?”
He does not need to wait for the whisper of assent that you breathe against the scar on his neck. He knows exactly what your answer will be.

hello! may i ask some tips about the instragram acccunts the GoM + kagami could have? like of sort of post, amount of followers, stuff like that THANK U and have a great day !!
THIS IS ACTUALLY HILARIOUS SINCE I BREATHE OFF OF INSTAGRAM LFMAO
[Headcanons]
Kuroko Tetsuya
HELP WHAT IF HE HAS NO PRESENCE ON SOCIAL MEDIA TOO—
professional lurker
never comments on anything unless it’s to congratulate under a friend’s post or something like that
probably started using it because Ogiwara moved from letters and texts to just... instagram (technology advancements, jazz hands)
his account is on private, and he only lets people he knows follow him
all of his posts are pictures to commemorate something or just really wholesome group pictures
DEFINITELY has that picture of the GoMs at his birthday OVA
DEFINITELY also posted the big birthday picture taken at the end of the party
and also had typed very sappy BIG paragraph captions for both of these posts, talking about the journey and him being grateful… y’know, him being him
HIS ENTIRE COMMENT SECTIONS ARE JUST EVERYONE SOBBING AND KEYBOARD SPAMMING??? ONLY LIKE MIDORIMA AND AKASHI POST COHERENT RESPONSES UNDERNEATH
@kiseryouta: kuROKOCCHIIIII!!NEJWIEISK
@momoiowo: TETSUU (ʃƪ˘・ᴗ・˘) YOURE SO SWEET REEEE
@a_daikiii: i stg quit being so corny no one died yet🙄 and @momoiowo relax smh
@shin_chan77: I suppose I can express some form of gratitude for being in my life despite you being a blood type A. (insert a giant paragraph after this)
@4k4shi: This was very touching to read, Kuroko. I’m very glad that our… (insert him going down memory lane)
Murasakibara has no comment LMAO
his entire Seirin team are his hype men under his posts
his profile picture is literally the gray default blank head because he didn’t even set up a profile picture for himself
he has like 20 followers max or something?
8 posts? like, he only posts on special occasions or big events
his occasional stories are always comprised of Nigou and blurry Kagami pictures/videos running away from Nigou UH OH (courtesy of @dust-of-fandoms)
@tetsuya11 for his user handle
@dust-of-fandoms JUST MADE AN INSTAGRAM FOR HIM HERE!!
Kise Ryota
uses his instagram account as a portfolio for his modeling career
majority of his posts are actually pictures he managed to snag from his frequent model shoots
it looks SO professional… but then you look at his IGTVs and his reel videos
his reels are either short clips of mini vlog series he does whenever he visits the GoMs or when he’s recording his Kaijō teammates doing tricks and dunks
his IGTVs are either skincare tutorials, fashion advice… or just… unexplainable, out-of-context shitposts of Kise running away from what fans assumed “a green-haired man” or some “captain”
follower account?? 124k
who wouldn’t resist a hot model?
DEFINITELY HAS A TIKTOK I CAN FEEL IT
@kiseryouta with an official verification next to it
people either love him or hate him
posts a casual selfie from time to time, and people praise him for “being real” LMAODOA AND HE’S JUST STARING AT HIS PHONE LIKE “??? IMIG BUT I JUST FELT CUTE TODAY”
his captions feel fake LMAO like: “Wow! today’s so pretty today!” as he puts a selfie post OR “What’s your favorite game?✨” under a professionally-shot model picture that does not correlate with the caption???
has posted shitposts on his stories and his fans are utterly confused… only the GoMs get it LMAO
Midorima Shintarou
ONLY reason why he has social media is because Takao convinced him that he could let everyone know the daily lucky items for each signs for every post he makes
so for the first 2 months of having instagram he just casually posts a “daily horoscope” report(?) for the day
his content attracted in all the astrology fans and people who are devoted to tarots
and he’s CONFUSED.
… Takao may or may not have played a hand in messing with the algorithms to expose his account to bigger audiences
once Midorima finds out he’s MAD LMAO *insert Takao pain noises*
either goes down two paths: just casually continuing to post the daily Oha Asa predictions without interacting with anyone OR deleting his account and making a new PRIVATE one just for communication/lurking purposes
so he can honestly have 10k followers if he chooses to be a horoscope account or like 3 followers on his private, take it or leave it
maybe he has two accounts if he feels that having instagram has its merits
definitely has a shit ton of random stuff/posts in his saved collections
boomer energy, like… what’s a “reels” feature?? people talk to their phone camera and record that?? he’s squinting really hard and scratching his head
either has 356 horoscope posts on his “main” or like 19 posts on his private
has a rubber duck as a profile picture for BOTH ACCOUNTS HELP HIM
@oha_asa_ for his horoscope account or @shin_chan77 as his personal because he doesn’t know how to change his username (thanks, Takao LMAO)
Aomine Daiki
he doesn’t give a shit about instagram LOL
it’s MOMOI who handles his account because he doesn’t wanna bother with it LMAOO
she would tease him and try to “encourage” him to stop lazing around by taking pictures of him whenever he’s snoozing and posting it
but he’s so damn good-looking that his sleeping pictures got some traction with new fans
Aomine is still sleeping
his account also has pictures of him eating at Maji burger or at a café, and of course Momoi is the one snapping these photos of him
he started caring about it a little more once Momoi told him that he can post videos of himself doing trickshots and one-on-ones to potentially find worthy rivals over the internet and meet up
so now his account (videos, reels, IGTVs) are all riddled with basketball/small parkour footage shot by yours truly, Momoi
so his fanbase is split between thirsty people and people who genuinely admire him for his skills… but I mean there’s also people in both categories, anywho
he’d totally follow his favorite Japanese idols on IG if they had one
also would follow any NBA-related accounts/players he admires
has like 2.7k followers (but growing really fast) with like 176 posts of videos and random pictures of him
his profile picture is literally a picture of him sleeping by Momoi
@a_daikiii
Momoi Satsuki
LOTS OF REALLY cute, playful selfies, and a lot of them are used with cute filters from the Snow app
sometimes would post herself doing a really cute Tiktok dance while in her school uniform
she doesn’t post too much; she’s actually more into posting IG stories and making highlights out of them and then making highlight covers have a coordinating theme together
very aesthetic theme on her feed overall hehe
definitely uses her account to comment on other GoMs posts, often commenting something snarky on Aomine’s and Kise’s
actually has 1-2 IGTVs on the Vorpal Sword’s big game against the Jabberwocks
doesn’t have much of full-body shots/outfit pictures other than mirror selfies because Aomine refuses to take good pictures of her
only when she sees Kise or Kuroko is when she can ask either to be a photographer
she’s definitely gotten a few small collab offers from small businesses, but she usually ignores them because it’s not exactly her thing
her profile picture is just a selfie with a sketch-line cat ear filter
uses a bunch of emoticons on her bio, captions, comments, everything
⌒(ㅇㅅㅇ❀)⌒ or ☆⌒(>。≪) or .₊̣̇.ෆ˟̑*̑˚̑*̑˟̑ෆ.₊̣̇.ෆ˟̑*̑˚̑*̑˟̑ෆ.₊̣̇.ෆ˟̑*̑˚̑*̑˟̑ෆ.₊̣̇.ෆ˟̑*̑˚̑*̑˟̑ෆ.₊̣̇. you get the picture
967 followers… that looks way too specific, but it’s somewhere around there; a lot of them came from Aomine’s account after they saw who’s been taking his pictures, and they wanna learn more about her??
around 40 posts?
@momoiowo
Murasakibara Atsushi
Himuro showed him how to use the app, but Murasakibara doesn’t find ANY USE FOR THIS LMAOO
he’d probably only get on it to look at food on the explore page and drool about the cuisines
keeps tabs on local places/restaurants/shops on instagram; those are probably the only accounts he’d follow tbh
it’s probably like ONE post and it’s an old picture of a dango on a plate he ate like 2 years ago
I have this image in my head that he has a really cute bento art as his profile picture?? can you imagine a Rilakkuma-shaped rice as his PROFILE PICTURE?
his bio is definitely: “hungry”
and that’s it
27 followers, and it’s literally just his Yōsen teammates, the GoMs and probably some other classmates of his
his captions are literally empty or 1-2 words
@oomaib0
Akashi Seijuro
only uses instagram because it’ll be beneficial for his company and to expand social networks, plus getting those sweet business deals and engagement
he doesn’t mind seeing really wholesome videos on the explore page though
when he wants to relax, a cat video melts his stress away
laughs to himself while he reads all the shenanigans underneath the GoMs’ posts
DEFINITELY loses a few brain cells seeing trolls and idiots on the internet… especially on controversial or political ones LMAO
he at first had to REFRAIN himself and take deep breaths before he just scrolls on, but he eventually got used to them and can now easily ignore them as easy as he breathes air
he actually enjoys shitposts and meme videos?? like he may not completely understand the meme trends sometimes, but he’ll still find it amusing enough for a chuckle
he ends up being the one who uses instagram the most? like Kise posts a shit ton, yeah, but Kise doesn’t really sit down and just scroll endlessly; Kise releases out content, while Akashi consumes the content
he reasons with himself that it’s to study his current demographics for the company, and while that may be true, Akashi just enjoys social media, plain and simple LOL
he does get to study the behaviors of all the generations using the platform, young folks and old folks alike, and it does get him excited in using his analytical skills to try to figure out people BEHIND a screen rather than those in front of him
it makes a really good challenge for him when he wants a good mental exercise
he has a post or two about his horses, his manor, and a video or two on him playing his violin?? but most are business-related, them being advertisements or business contracts/offers… things like that
his highlights are all about Q&As regarding the company, his background, his skillsets, etc. like an actual resumé
actually links current world issue cards/petitions on top of his company website; he’s quite an advocate
he actually doesn’t post about basketball because that’s something very close to his heart since it reminds him of his late mother… having that mixed in with his company-related posts feels wrong to him
27k followers, most of them are business-related accounts AND some are some followers his father bought for him without Akashi’s input to inflate engagement, etc.
@4k4shi… oh he thinks he’s SO CLEVER FOR MAKING THIS USERNAME LOL with the 4 being his jersey number and the 4s looking like As… AKASHI PLEASE—
his profile pic is like a professionally taken picture, nothing less for our king
his grammar and syntax are impeccable on social media; after all, he’s still being judged for how he carries himself even on the media
Kagami Taiga
mukbang guy… DEFINITELY
hot guy eating nine plates of steaks
IGTVs are filled with mukbang videos because Kuroko said he could make a living off of his appetite
HE COULD MAKE MONEY OFF OF JUST EATING? SIGN HIM UP.
on his posts, he posts dishes he makes for the day/is proud of and talks about the dish and ingredients briefly in the caption
that, or he has pictures of his new basketball shoes LMAO
or all of his basketball merch
HE’S DEFINITELY POSTED PICTURES OF LANDMARKS AND OTHER ICONIC PLACES HE’S TRAVELED TO (*cough* in America)
has a generic Jordan brand logo against a dark background as a profile picture
doesn’t have his face anywhere unless it’s in a mukbang video
279 followers or something
why do I have a feeling that he’ll accidentally blow up when Alex takes his phone to do a quick selfie on it?—

Haikyuu character Bokuto
💕
Yessss🦉🥺🍞
Character: Bokuto Koutarou
🦉 Favorite thing about them:
✅ Himbo
✅ Golden Retriever energy
✅ Certified dumbass
I love him so much, honestly I regard Bokuto as one of my favorite pick me up characters because he is just such a fluffball of wholesomeness. I enjoy the fact that he loves Volleyball so much and enjoys spreading that passion to other peeps by trying to help them and get them as enthusiastic as he is. Also not being selfish with all his little tips and tricks and sharing them with everyone. I also like that he just adopts just about everyone as a friend 🤣
🦉 Least favorite thing about them:
His lack of self confidence when he makes a mistake and heavily beats himself up over it. Has entire mood and performance drops because he thinks he is trash 💔😔
🦉 Favorite line:
" It's a matter of whether that moment exists for you or not. If you experience that moment, it'll really get you hooked on volleyball"
🦉 brOTP:
Hinata and Bokuto
A cinnamonroll meets a golden retriever 🤣 I love their energy and the sheer amount of sunshine, but also the competitive nature they share with each other and acknowledging each other as rivals but still remain really good friends. Although Bokuto just kinda adopted Hinata on the fly and was like "I picked up this adorable bean, he's mine now and I shall impart all my knowledge"
🦉 OTP:
Bokuto and Kuroo
I've seen tons of art and work for Bokuto and Akaashi, but I've also seen a lot of Bokuto and Kuroo. And the reason why I chose Bokuto and Kuroo is because of the Oya Oya scene that will forever remain in my memory.
But I also enjoy their antics 🤣🤣 based on the stuff I've seen its tons of chaotic energy.
🦉 nOTP:
Honestly no one I can think of, I am not too familiar with all the ships that Bokuto is a part of. I only know of three of them and I find two of them pretty adorable. Third one is just floating there in the dead space of my brain.
🦉 Random Headcanons:
🦉Literally thrives off of praise and his teammates were very tempted to try a praise and reward system with head pats and treats. (Like what peeps do when training their four legged friends)
🦉 Unpopular Opinion:
🦉 Everyone would be screwed if Bokuto was emotionally stable.
🦉Song I Associate with Them:
- St. Elmos Fire (Man in Motion) by John Parr
- Centuries by Fall Out Boy
🦉 Favourite Picture of Them:

i love your blog! i started playing idv recently and i'm in love with your writing! know that you have an avid supporter of your blog 🥰 and i would like to see more of Andrew’s little things because i need my boy’s stuff😔
awww! thank you nonnie!
i have some more ideas for andrew, i know this bit plays heavily on his behavior and what goes on in his head, but i think those are important things to start out with, i’m sorry if those parts are dense and/or hard to read.
misc. andrew kreiss headcanons || cut for length
andrew is... a lot to unpack (loving). he’s an asocial, anxious, coarse man, with an inferiority complex complemented by years of intense religious trauma, with a side order of mommy and (lack of?) daddy issues.
most of his interactions with survivors and hunters alike are very tense and rocky, andrew’s emotions being an unpredictable swing between bending over backward to prove his usefulness or snapping when required to respond in an overly aggressive manner.
considering the time range that the manor survivors are from, andrew would probably receive some disparaging comments and microaggressions due to his albinism- the manor is already an unsafe place. The expected response from its inhabitants is even more triggering for andrew’s poor self-esteem.
any sort of friendship or half-honest relationship is incredibly rare, and will only happen by circumstance, or if you approach andrew in just the right way, even platonically. especially platonically. andrew is deeply immersed in the narrative of his own monstrosity, maintaining and constantly feeding into the belief that he is positively unlovable and any kindness shown to him is an attempt to use him or some subconscious pity response. pity is the last thing that andrew kreiss wants from people.
not only are those infantilizing words blatantly insulting, but andrew’s inferiority complex is tipped off by nearly anything, so even kind statements can be perceived as disparaging jabs or send andrew into a guilt-ridden spiral, thinking that he’s tricked the other party into seeing him as something other than himself.
now for a little break from the psychoanalyzing lmao
andrew is super illiterate. he was never given any formal education, though his mother did her best to teach him the basics of the alphabet before she passed away. since he worked closely with the church and the bible would’ve been one of the most readily available pieces of literature, it’s expected that he knows a plethora of bible verses, but they’re mainly memorized.
poor guy has really bad blood circulation, so he’s cold all of the time- another reason for the cassock and patched-up coat he’s always wearing. this isn’t due to his albinism, mainly just because of how tall he is. i headcanon that he’s at least 188cm when his shoulders are hunched, which is pretty much always, and stands at a whopping 195cm when he straightens out.
now, as for his interactions with the people he trusts the most (still, there’s barely any trust there), andrew is flaky at best. it’s not his fault; his primary defense mechanisms include obscene amounts of self-isolation and some behavior that could be low-key considered emotional manipulation; mainly unintentional guilt-tripping. in particularly overwhelming situations, andrew tends to mutter to himself about any assortment of topics, always in a low, frantic tone, whether he’s discussing his own unworthiness or cursing out someone else.
contrasting heavily with the media he’s been exposed to, andrew curses quite a lot. he’s not super bad about it, but it’s part of his image that he has to maintain for his own perceived sense of safety. however, if you use the “lord’s” name in vain around him, you’re going to get at least an eye roll or a nasty look shot your way. andrew doesn’t go out of his way to fight or correct people he disagrees with, but he definitely finds ways to passive-aggressively make his opinions known.
andrew quite enjoys gardening, specifically orchids and irises. back at Lutz Graveyard, he had his own little plot outside of the cemetery walls.
i headcanon that andrew’s family is german, so, adding a german accent and the occasional foreign phrase, he’d be relatively difficult to understand if you’re not paying attention. not to mention andrew’s mumbl-y speech patterns.
andrew has a surprising sweet tooth! although, he does hold indulging himself in such activities to be a bit of a shameful activity. he favors raspberry pastries or any time of glazed item- cake doughnuts are his weakness. also a big fan of hard candies! he still has some vague memories of sharing small caramels with his mother as a young boy; hence, he keeps it as one of his nostalgic favorites.
really likes art. he’s always been around artistic depictions of his faith, and, lacking the vocabulary to express himself otherwise, andrew picked up whatever he could and scribbled things out. small pieces of smudged paper (andrew is left-handed), ripped and torn around the edges, can be found around seldom-visited corners of the manor, scrawled over with graphite and ink.
also tagging @rintares because of their andrew fixation /pos

Hello! I know you said that you've only been drawing for a little over a year, but your art is already really good. Do you have any tips that you feel have helped you grow your skills so fast?
oh this is so sweet, thank you so much!! ; _ ; it isn't terribly exciting but what's helped me the most is drawing consistently (i try to draw every day, although i definitely don't always succeed) and drawing from references. for references i have a sideblog where i rb pretty much every photo i think might be useful or fun to try to replicate — a lot of humans in different poses, mostly — and i also use resources like adorkastock and sketchdaily. i've also found it useful to do a basic drawing exercise as a warmup before i draw, in an effort to strengthen my fundamentals; drawabox has most of the ones i use. (really basic stuff like lines and ellipses.) most of these studies and practices never see the light of day or get incorporated into finished pieces! but i do save them so i can look back at my progress.
the other side of things is observation! i have a mental list of artists whose work i really like and will frequently just ... look at, with the intention of trying to figure out how they do what they do and what makes it work. what tools do they use? what do they stylize, what do they keep true to life? training yourself to look for specific characteristics like line quality or shape or texture can be difficult but it's totally worth it. i like trying to see if i can figure out an artist's process from their finished work ... being able to compare sketches to final pieces is helpful for that, as are timelapses, and tutorials (!!! i learned basically all of the small amount i know about coloring from other artists' tutorials. they are especially invaluable for digital art, where there are so many methods and tricks that are practically impossible to figure out without help).
But like maybe most importantly ...... draw what you love and what you have fun drawing!! i feel motivated and inspired when i'm practicing anatomy so i can draw chell jumping through portals better, or studying a specific piece of clothing because one of my OCs wears it. draw a lot, draw often, draw for your own joy and you can't go wrong, imo.

I’ve had a lot of requests from various people at different times who are just learning how to use resin to create with and wanted some tips and tricks. I have wanted to make this post for a while, but I wanted to acquire more experience myself before giving others help. This first post is just going to go over some really basic tips and tricks and subsequent posts (if they’re found helpful) will elaborate. This is for all of you who are like me and get the least amount of benefit from watching Youtube tutorials these days because EVERYONE has one, and half the time they’re drawn out for ad revenue so an hour long video will only contain 20 mins worth of information with the kicker being you can’t even fast forward through what you know or rewind through ads to get back to where you need to be. So, for those of you who hate that like me, this text post is for you.
If you’re just starting, choosing which resin you want to purchase is intimidating. Craft stores like Michael’s and Hobby Lobby rarely offer more than one or two brands, typically over priced due to the fact that they’re labeled “art resins”.
Epoxy resin is by far the easiest to start with for beginners. It is the most forgiving, has the most consistent results, most brands use the same 1:1 ratio and the overall technique is the same. I am not affiliated with these brands/companies in any way other than I have used their products and have written reviews for several on Amazon.
Start with small packages (4oz-8oz kits / 8oz & 16oz hardener + resin). A quick Amazon search for epoxy resin will give you many results. This is one of those cases where you really don’t get what you pay for- boat, tabletop, etc. epoxy will yield the same results at more reasonable prices per fluid ounce than art resins. I recommend going with brands like FanAut, Puduo, Let’s Resin, Craft Daddy, etc. which often offer kits with gloves, craft sticks / stir sticks, measuring cups, and even additives at reasonable prices. All these items are things you’ll need to start off, so any extras are appreciated. I recommend Puduo, as it is relatively inexpensive compared to similar brands, yields consistent , crystal clear results, and has a somewhat faster curing time than other epoxy resins for the price. If none of these brands ring your bell, here are the qualifiers for a “good” epoxy resin:
Self Degassing- This is pretty much the standard expectation of epoxy resin and one of the reasons it is considered forgiving for beginners. When resin and hardener are combined, gases are trapped and form air bubbles which have a tendency to multiply as you stir your mixture and the combination heats up. But it shouldn’t be taken for granted that all epoxy resin does this, so try to look for “self degassing” in the item description / label.
Self Leveling vs. Doming : Doming resin is great for the magnified look on pendants and other flat projects, but self leveling resin is where you should be starting as doming requires the build up of surface tension to achieve. While “doming “ resin may achieve this easier than others without this feature, it is pretty irrelevant if you don’t know to dome resin in the first place.
Art Resin vs Other Epoxy: Art resins make claims of being ideal or a better choice for arts & crafts, but the reality is that you can achieve the same effects from table top or boat resins such as Mas- are just as capable of casting, coating, doming etc. as art resins especially if you’re looking to take on a larger project you will pay less and get more with these brands than smaller quantities of art resins. Make sure they are crystal clear, hard type, self degassing, and self leveling. Keep in mind that cure time relates to the size of your project and the ambient temperature of the environment, so don’t waste money on products that charge more for touting faster curing time.
What about 2 part epoxy in syringes? (Ice Resin, Gorilla Glue) Personally, these pre prepared epoxy resins are more complicated than they look. You can’t save combined resin and hardener, so once you mix the two or pop the seals to both you have to use the lot of it in one shot. Ice Resin in particular is quite expensive and doesn’t offer the clear, glossy results I expected it to when I used it, so I would avoid these if you are just starting out.
Additives & Extras- Don’t waste a lot of money at the start funding your would be creations until you have at least seen one entire project through from start to finish. I made the mistake of investing in silicone molds, glitters, additives like rhinestones, craft papers, transparency films etc before I really found my niche and what I was really using epoxy for the most. There are some great deals for 100+ piece silicone mold kits that include gloves, stir sticks, silicone measuring cups, and the like available cheaply for those looking to make smaller things like jewelry, keychains, figurines etc. the one I have just linked to even includes the epoxy for under $20. These kits are offered by Amazon and even Etsy and are a great place to start as they provide you with everything you would need to create at least one full project. They are also a great activity to do with your kids (ages 10+ would probably be ideal) as you can add pretty much anything that isn’t silicone, wax, unsealed paper, alcohol, or water based into resin, which opens up a world of possibilities!
Tips & Tricks That Will Save You $
If you’re itching for purchasing pigments to add color to your resin projects, try purchasing or reusing some old or cheap mineral eye shadows. Not sure if your eye shadow is mineral based? I’m willing to bet it is, though some colors may not look the same when mixed in resin as they do on the pallets, they will color it nonetheless, just pick a small amount up on a popsicle stick or toothpick and stir it into a small batch of resin to see how it turns out. Dollar Tree eye shadows will work just as well as expensive pigments, so consider this before investing in expensive mica pigment sets!
While silicone molds are probably the easiest and are reusable, you can also use plastic molds, carve your resin block with carpentry tools or by hand-or even make your own molds! There are simple recipes utilizing dish soap and corn starch out there, or you can use silicone or even hot glue! Flexible silicone molds won’t require a mold release, but plastic and other molds will or you may end up cutting your project out. You don’t have to purchase a mold release product for this, either- olive or vegetable oil spray on a paper towel will suffice, just remember to let your mold sit for a few hours to demoisturize.
Can’t find gloves because of COVID19 hype? Finger cots are even better than gloves as they allow for more dexterity even when they get sticky, are cheaper, and readily available in bulk online!
Pretty much anything compatible with homemade “slime” can be mixed into or embedded in resin, so there is that. However, be careful how much glitter, pigment, etc you add as you can throw off the chemical balance that allows your project to cure properly. Refer to the directions included with your specific resin kit as most will tell you what ratios must be maintained for proper curing.
Everyone that works with resin knows the arch nemesis that is the bubbles. There are times where it seems like, no matter what you do, your perfect clear cast of a dandelion goes to shit because of some stray air bubbles. There are a few tricks to avoid this from the start:
Use a separate cup to measure resin and hardener. Pour the combined mixture into a fourth cup after the first 3-4 mins of stirring (half time) scraping the sides and bottom. This helps what was on the bottom get integrated into what was mixed on top. Always make sure to pour resin first when mixing and mix slowly, scraping the sides and bottom, for the time listed on your instructions. You want your mixture to be almost water consistency, clear, fluid, with little viscosity, and no streaks visible. Allow it to sit for a few minutes to natural degas and get rid of the bubbles.
Use a torch or grill lighter to pop surface bubbles. You can also do each one individually (as the grill lighter suggestion may not always be a good idea- be careful using this on large projects and molds that may ignite) with a tooth pick. Using a blow dryer or heat gun will also help bubbles rise to the surface to be popped.
Make sure that you keep contact with the bottom of your mixing cup with your stir stick-try not to lift it too much as this can introduce air into the mixture (“whipping the resin”) this can also occur if you are stirring too quickly. If you notice a lot of bubbles, let your mixture sit for a few minutes and resume stirring at a slower pace.
Make sure you start your project at a temperature of 74 degrees +, if your bottles are cold to touch, place them in a plastic bag and let them sit in hot water to warm up. You can also roll them (slowly) on a counter top.
You know, if all else fails you could always make ocean or nautical themed projects :)
That’s all for now- let me know if this helped you or someone you know working with resin or experimenting. Feel free to comment with any questions you would like answered in my next post! I also recommend the Resin Obssesion blog- they have a lot of useful information and tutorials with photos that were really helpful for me starting out!

hi! i am a ridiculously huge fan of you art. just want to ask about your creative process and what advice you’d give to those trying to find an art style or start out digitally? any tips really on creating digital art! (and lastly, your most recent artwork of the handler blows my goddamn mind, the colours, the style, everything, it’s perfect)
hello! thank u so much thats so sweet! ill answer in parts!
creative process:
i think most times i think some shit up and i save an unhealthy amount of reference pictures, and based on that i try to figure out a cool/harmonious composition. i think the most important part in my process is mapping out the basic shapes / silhouettes, cuz its a “quick” way of knowing if yr design will work, like if it’s visually engaging. it’s gotta work from the silhouette stage. then i pretty much just fill in the details (face, lineart, clothes, BGs, etc).
art style:
art style comes on its own tbh. developing an art style has more to do with experimenting with stylistic and aesthetic choices so dont be afraid to try out different styles and tecnhiques! i cant stress this enough though, style is not as important as hard drawing skills like anatomy, lighting and color theory. id say start with the “boring” stuff and work your way from there! it will make your art exponentially better. master those pillars and then go crazy, go stupid.
digital art tips (ill do my best):
theres’ a lot of hardware out there, ive only ever used Wacom and theyre really good! the simplest wacom tablet is guaranteed to do the trick and last for YEARS on end
try to not break/lose your tablet pen. theyre expensive
if you can, try out different software! tbh i only use photoshop cuz im a pussy and Clip studio scares me BUT please try different programs
WEAR GLASSES. even if you dont regularly need them, get you a pair of screen glasses cuz vision deteriorates quickly (been there done that), protect yr eyes
experiment with layers and blending modes! its really fun and you can achieve some crazy stuff by using them, dont b scared of em (i was)
if your software offers tools like 3D models, or some other stuff that will make drawing easier, USE THEM. it’s not cheating, and it will save you a lot of time and frustration
if your computer can take it, work in 600 dpi resolution at least (just learned this the hard way recently)
when doing personal work draw stuff you ENJOY drawing, pick things you can look at for 6+ hours without getting sick of it
try to practice on the tablet as often as possible, do it regularly, not only to keep growing/improving, but especially to maintain the progress youve made
draw things that scare you. most times its just a mental barrier, youll be fine even if you think its shit the first time. just keep going
progress is not lineal. sometimes youll like the result, sometimes you won’t and that normal and healthy. be prepared for that
when analyzing/critiquing your own work, pretend it’s somebody else’s. youll be more honest with yourself and less destructive
KILL YOUR DARLINGS, dont get attached to drawings. if you dont like something / a sketch is not working, it’s better to ditch it and start over
dont be too hard on yourself, and have fun!!
this ended up being really long! i hope it helps! <3
