Due to… recent events that I would rather not talk about, today's post is a highlight of different tabletop games made by trans peeps! These games are fantastic in their own right, of course, but you can also know that they were made by incredibly cool and attractive people

(Also, these are flyover descs of the game, they'll get more in-depth singular posts later, this is because I am lazy)

Perfect Draw is a phenomenal card game TTRPG that was funded in less than a day on backerkit, it's incredibly fun and has simple to learn hard to master rules for creating custom cards, go check it out!

Songs for the dusk is fucking good, pardon my language, but it's a damn good post apocalyptic game about building community in a post-capitalist-post-apocalypse-post-whatever world. do yourself a favor and if you only check out one game in this list, check this one out, its a beautiful game.

Flying Circus is set in a WW1 inspired fantasy setting full of witches, weird eldritch fish people (who are chill as hell), cults, dead nobility, and other such things. It's inspired by Porco Rosso primarily but it has other touchstones.

Wanderhome is a game about being cute little guys going on a silly adventure and growing as the seasons change, its GMless and very fun

Kitchen Knightmares is… more of a LARP but its still really dang cool, its about being a knight serving people in a restaurant, its played using discord so its incredibly accessible

ok this technically doesn't count but I'm putting it here anyways cuz its like one of my favorite ttrpgs of all time TSL is a game about baring your heart and dueling away with people who you'll probably kiss 10 minutes later, its very very fanfic-ey and inspired by queer narratives. I put it here because its made by a team, and the expansion has a setting specifically meant to be a trans "allegory", so I'll say it counts, honestly just go check it out its good shit

Apocalypse Keys is also here because its published by Evilhat so its very cleaned up and fancy but I love how the second you check out the dev's other stuff you can tell they are a lot more experimental with their stuff, this is not a critique, it is in fact a compliment

Fellowship! I've posted about this game before, but it is again here. Fellowship has a fun concept that it uses very well mostly, its a game about defining your character's culture, and I think that's really really cool

Voidheart Symphony is a really cool game about psychic rebellion in a city that really does not like you, the more you discover for yourself the better

Panic at the Dojo is a phenomenal ttrpg based on what the Brazilian would call "Pancadaria", which basically means, fucking other's people shit up. Character Creation is incredibly open and free, meaning that many character concepts are available

Legacy 2e is a game about controlling an entire faction's choices across time, its very fun

“So this is what a 100 year old man looks like.” Lillie grinned as her husband woke.

He groggily looked at her and mirrored her grin. “Not too shabby huh?”

“Though perhaps the forest has more to do with it than good genes.” She laughed.

“Hey now! Don’t ruin the day before it begins.” He reached out and pulled her close, kissing her lushes lips as soon as they were within reach.

“Mm, happy birthday my love.” She said once he let her come up for air. “May the day bring you as much good fortune as you deserve.”

“Strong words, and powerful, you should be wary of throwing them around. What you believe I deserve and what the forest believes might be completely different.” She snuggled her head into his chest and sighed contentedly.

“Never. You have been nothing but kind and benevolent to any and all who reside withing the borders of the forest, non can deny that.”

“Perhaps, still…much better to be wary than not, lest an errant spell be cast without forethought.”

“Of course you’re right. I shall temper my words on this day of days.” Her fingers swirled along his naked side, stirring his groin. “We should rise don’t you think? There will be many visitors today I should think.”

“The sun has barely risen, but you are right, best we be ready to receive company.”

“You don’t sound very enthusiastic my love.”

“I know it is all meant in kindness and love, but it will be grueling, nonetheless. After all, I am nothing truly special.”

“How untrue that is!” Lillie rose on her elbow and glared at her husband, honey brown eyes as electrifying as the noonday sun, auburn hair splayed out across his pale chest. “I won’t hear that kind of talk today of all days.”

“I give!” Jumin laughed and held his hands up in surrender. “I will do as you say darling.” Grey eyes crinkled as his smile reached each ear.

“And you will enjoy the celebration tonight! No matter what! I command it! After all, it isn’t every day that one turns 100.” She straddled him and pulled him up to sitting, wrapping her arms around his broad shoulders.

“I will do as ordered.” He said, bringing their lips together once more before she deftly lept off him and the bed. With a sigh he reluctantly followed to get ready for the day.

Not even an hour later there was the first knock on the door. The cottage they shared was small, equal to their needs. The door was never locked, in fact, it didn’t even have one, anyone could just walk in, of course none ever did, that was simply impolite.

Jumin opened the door, a mushroom family stood in front of him, eager to gift him with the wreath of fresh flowers they had crafted. He smiled and knelt before them.

“How wonderful! Thank you!” they ducked their heads in reverence, a thing Jumin had tried to stop in the beginning, but had had no effect, so now he accepted it and bowed his own head in respect to them. Taking the wreath he hung it on the door. As he turned back to his front yard, he wasn’t surprised by the line forming, nor was he surprised by the gifts that had already been dropped off. Lillie stepped next to him, eyes aglow as they set upon the procession.

“Ready?” she asked, eyes scanning the myriad of forest creatures from dryads to treants, fairies to trolls, witches and warlocks, and everything in between.

“I suppose I have no choice.” He said, but his heart was light at the love put into the incoming gifts. He often felt unworthy of such things, but he never asked to rule the enchanted forest, the damned thing had chosen him and here they were. He knew the inhabitants cared for him as much as he cared for them. He was determined to make this a great day, not for himself, but for those who stood before him, and for his lovely wife as well.

I'm new-ish to writing (i used to write fanfiction when i was like 13. i'm 18 now soo..) but I really wanna do it again.

So this is a list of characters/fandoms I write for as well as some rules for asks. Some things may be missing from this list so if you dont see something on this list, feel free to ask. :))

Interesting similarity between Emesis and german horror film

Just watched Emesis blue and I absolutely love this film. The references to” The shining “was so well implemented and an interesting choice (will look into them later) I would like to bring attention to a detail that I'm not 100% sure even is a reference but is interesting to consider.

WARNING SPOILERS AHAED

In the last act Medic skin i really pale, has visible eye bags and is wearing a Black turtleneck.

This look resembles one of the main character from German silent horror movie ‘’ The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari ‘.

Cesare was a lunatic that slept through all 23 years of his life was used by the director of the asylum to commit murders during the night. The doctor was obsessed with the story of an 18th-century mystic named Caligari, who used a Man named Cesare to commit murder In Italian towns. He swore to become Caligari and proceed with the experiments himself as the New coming patient a lunatic will become his Cesare.

Outside of Just Visual similarities i believe there is a strong connection between this film and Emesis blue. The pills that are seen throughout the movie seem to have strong importance to the plot, but it is never explained how relevant they are. In an upload on the Fortress Films YouTube Chanel called „𝙀𝙈𝙀𝙎𝙄𝙎® 𝘿𝙄𝘼𝙕𝙀𝙋𝘼𝙈” we can learn more about this strange medical product.

The video opens with a reminder of the importance of Sleep to a human body, saying that it can also be assisted by medication. It is recommended to Take one pill of Emesis before sleeping. Although there are side effects to this drug such as drowsiness, memory loss and hallucinations. We can see medic experiencing all of them. Next, we are instructed to stare directly AT images presented on screen. All of them have words „Go to Steep now” blinking In the Middle of them.

It is revealed that the pills doc Has been ta king were the same ones as from the commercial.

As of now i don't have Any strong enough theories of how exactly they relate to the plot and Medici insanity. Clearly their Osage was the main reason for his hallucinations but i think it's possible that under their influence He committed a murder. The one that seems most Lilly to back up this claim is the mysterious Heath of scout's mother. Young mercenary was not pleased to see his friend again yelling that he wants to shoot him dead, why so sudden hate towards a man he was friendly with before? The women had two other appearances (that I can recall), we can see Her behind medic when He was standing before a respawn machine terminal, which instead of the boy himself lead to her apartment. The horrific scene when Her head is Dropped has an unnerving reappearance by the end of the medicine commercial.

That’s all i have for now. No idea if Any of this even matters but i couldn't Get it out of my head and the theories will keep MW up whole night.

Hi, I was wondering if you could share about how you learned everything you know about astrology: any reliable sources? online courses? I love what you are doing here and find your posts very insightful!

mostly i have just picked up bits and pieces of things here and there. subscribed to some random astrologers online, learned from them, found where i disagreed with them, moved on, etc.

my single biggest influence has been mystic medusa, i have been following her since i think 2014. around when i first got interested in astrology. i never stopped.

also i started out trying to understand why so many people love astrology when it's clearly SILLY and not scientific - i approached it with this very skeptical stance so i don't remember a lot of how it started. i just got sucked in because, in spite of not being rigorously scientific, it works so great anecdotally and in my personal experience.

i have also picked up a lot of astrology accidentally through studying tarot, which i was interested in first.

there is so much to learn and my insight comes from, i think, a blend of various "schools" - hellenistic, sidereal, medieval, modern western, and at this point simple personal experience. so you can read william lilly, stephen forest, mystic, whoever pops up on your tiktok, anything you want. listen to what they say, filter it through your personal experience, what makes sense to you systematically, and what is tradition. discard anything you think is BS even if it's widely accepted. be prepared to come up with your own ideas even if no one else accepts them.

most of all for me it took TIME (10 years or so at this point, plus more for tarot) and scientific experience as an astronomer and knowing what's true and not.

Inspired primarily by Touhou, Mystic Lillies is a game about being witches (or other supernatural-esque creatures) and fighting foes, eachother, and yourselves. It's meant for quick short games, and it uses a lot of very interesting game design, the main thing that would stick out to a player is the lack of dice! While this trait is what made me reluctant to post it in the first place, I think basically everyone owns a set of playing cards, or knows a way to simulate them, so i think its fine. Check it out, its a great time all around!

wip (re)introduction; the last lorinean

In the summer that my dreams began, I spent most of my time mourning the loss of Adaline. In an empire cursed with dreamless sleep, a woman who craves nothing but a peaceful life begins to dream. Lilli Karington discovers that she is host to a Lorinean, a being made of pure magic that was eradicated by the empire generations ago. When soldiers track her down for the act of treason that is sheltering a Lorinean, she is forced to leave behind her quiet life and venture into a world of deserter Faeries, pirate half-Elves, and a royal conspiracy spanning two centuries.

In all the years of writing this story, I have gotten no better at writing a blurb... anyways, this is my NaNoWriMo project! I am once against starting a brand new draft and hoping to chug through it all. For the first time in a decade of working on this story, I am going to try writing it in first person! So far I think it is going okay, though my passive voice is going to be the death of me.

The kiss burned on her lips as she raced through the catacombs. Every bone in her body urged her to turn around, to go back to her lover’s arms, to die with her. But she would never be forgiven if she did.

The flames of the ever-burning torches barely flickered as she ran past them. She counted them in twos. Her lover’s voice echoing in the back of her mind. Directions that would carry her out of the catacombs, through the Imperial Gardens, and down the cliffs into the harbor. Her purse held enough gold to convince a common trader to take her back to the Isles. If not to the Isles—she remembered the embargo, and did not know if her gold carried that much weight—then anywhere beyond the reach of the Aronian Empire.

Her legs began to ache. Her strength was in her arms, her magic. She had never ran this hard in her long life. For a moment, she slowed, bringing her hands near her legs and praying that willpower was enough for a healing spell. The voices of soldiers came down a nearby tunnel. It spurred her on more than the healing spell could have.

She made a sharp right turn. Moonlight crept down the tunnel from an archway at the end of it, half obscured by vines. Through the gardens, down the cliffs, into the sea. Each step took her farther away from her lover, that dying woman who gave her this second chance at life.

She felt the moonlight on her face before she registered the bolt of magic shot between her collarbones. Her knees gave out. She fell to the ground hard enough that it broke her nose. She heard the crack and felt the blood beginning to drip down her face.

“Wait a minute,” a voice said. She struggled to focus on it through the pain. Someone’s magic kept her paralyzed, suffocated, anchored by the spot on her back. “That’s a royal uniform.”

She hoped they would have the grace to bring her back for an execution. Maybe then she could see her lover one more time. A selfish hope. She knew the pain it would bring.

“Mystics protect the poor fool who tells the general we incapacitated one of his favorites.” A different voice. Closer to her. How had she missed their footsteps? Had the panic drowned it all out?

“A stupid favorite, to be running through the catacombs tonight.”

A hand grabbed her by the shoulder and rolled her over. The full moon peered down at her, the wide eye of a goddess bearing witness. She didn’t recognize the faces of the soldiers. Their faces, their voices, they blended together.

“No, I recognize her. She’s royal guard, but still a Lor.”

“Why’s she running? I thought the Emperor gave her a pardon.”

“That was before the princess got poisoned. It happened on her watch. She’s as good as the rest of them.”

“Whoever put a Lor on the royal guard must be cursing the Mystics now.”

“Should we bring her to the cells?”

“No. Running is as good as guilty.”

One of the soldiers lifted their hand. The magic pinning her in place tore through her chest. She screamed. Her chest grew warm with blood, and so did her back, and her mouth began to taste of iron, and she couldn’t remember the last thing her lover said to her. All she could hear were footsteps

“Don’t worry,” the last soldier said with something like sympathy. She fought to keep her eyes open, locked onto the moon. She did not waste her thoughts praying. How long did dying take? How long did dying take when one’s heart still beat? “Wherever you Lorineans end up—you won’t be lonely. Maybe you’ll become a star.”

The soldier ducked back into the tunnel. She could no longer see their figure, but she felt them. She felt the magic that made up their soul, and she felt the empty places within that magic.

Her fingers twitched. She pulled magic from the plants, from the dirt, from the memories of her parents, from the distant Isles. She pulled magic from her body, until she was no longer her body, until she was nothing but magic, nothing but magic and a wound. Her consciousness faded fast. She pushed herself into the crevices of the departing soldier’s soul.

And then she slept.

Jumin Week—Words of Affirmation

“Where do you think you’re going?” Lillie asked.

“Ah, you caught me.” Jumin sighed.

“Trying to slink off are you?” she took his arm gently with a slight smile.

“You know these things make me uncomfortable. Do we really have to show up?” he asked.

“I think there will be many disappointed people if you don’t show up.”

“Do I care about these people? A bunch of rich elites with nothing better to spend their money on.”

“It isn’t about them my love, it’s about the people who benefit from that money. Remember, you made sure 90% of the donations were to be used to fund all the social programs and not to fund the bureaucrats. And like it or not, you are the face of the organization. This dinner is more than just a celebration of you.”

“I know, I just…”

“Would rather spend your birthday at home?” she finished.

“Absolutely, just us, drinking wine and maybe taking a bath.” He sighed as he pulled her close.

“That sounds heavenly! And after the party we can absolutely do that. I promise I will make it worth your while.”

“You drive a hard bargain.”

“You are such an incredible man. Why don’t others see who you really are?”

“And what am I exactly?” he teased.

“A man who cares more for others than himself. Who does so much and expect nothing in return. Has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Would do everything within his power to help a friend even to the detriment of himself. And always, always expect to recognition or thanks.”

Jumin stepped away, his face blushing, as if he was trying to hide from her glowing accolades.

“You try to hide, but I know you my love. I know you don’t like accolades, abhor recognition for things that you feel have no need for recognition. But sometimes you need to allow others to shower you with love and appreciation.”

“This is a ridiculous award.” He said.

“Don’t think that way. Those you help have given it to you. They are merely showing you their appreciation. And they deserve to see you receive the commendation. I know the elite are an annoyance and merely give you pretty words because of your statis, but don’t forget those who genuinely see you as someone worthy of such praise.”

“You are correct. As always, what would I do without you? My sweet angel.” He kissed her affectionately.

“Then let’s get ready and head out. We will have a wonderful night. I promise!”

“I believe you. I shall endeavor to accept this award with humility and grace.”

“Both of which you have an abundance of.”

With a smile Jumin’s heart lifted, light and easy. The night would be wonderful indeed with his wife at his side. Her words filled him with love and comfort.

How badly do you wish for a simple angel to fly through your trees ... ??

Oh how badly do I wish,, I pray everyday to have a mystical angel float among my trees, gliding within the vines. I want an angel to stop by my flowers, smell the roses, and take a Lilly to remind themselves of the wonderful beauties that lies beyond my forest.

Chapter 5: the information No warnings

As I was browsing through Hannah's cloud, I found a medical prescription, but it was of very poor quality. I sent it to Jake, hoping he could fix the image to make it more legible.

Jessy: I have to tell you something else.

Rebekah: Tell me.

Jessy: Cleo was at the junkyard yesterday. Well, you could say she trespassed.

Rebekah: How? Why did she do that?

Jessy: No idea. I went out when I saw her and scolded her. Then she pretended to come see me.

Rebekah: Oh, really? Well, what a curious way to visit her friends.

Jessy: Oh, that's normal. Jumping a fence is what she does here in Duskwood.

"Have you found anything new?" I asked Jake.

"I'm working on fixing the resolution of the prescription, but besides that, nothing else. How about you?"

"Jessy told me the gossip that Cleo jumped a fence to get into the garage," I told him.

"That sounds very suspicious."

"Oh, yep. But I think Cleo likes to play detective, one who does things illegally."

Cleo started talking to me, and we discussed things about Hannah, hoping to find some detail that could be useful, but unfortunately, she didn't say anything new.

"You look disappointed." Jake observed.

"I had hoped to discover something significant." I sighed. "At least Cleo will go to places with rumors to see if she finds anything."

I kept browsing and found another photo of Hannah, but I didn't bother sending it to Jake. What infuriated me was the message Richy sent to Jessy.

"¿Ese conshesumadre es el que insistió en que los ayudara y ahora le dice a Jessy que tenga cuidado conmigo? ¿Qué mierda sabe ese culiao de mí? ¡Nada!"

"Bekah, I don't understand." Jake said, I take a deep breath.

"I haven't even talked to him. You can see it." I said.

"It seemed like he was going to tell her why he doesn't trust you."

"Yes, but, well, who knows? Probably Jessy will tell me."

"Yeah, that's likely."

"Do you trust me?" I dared to ask.

"If I didn't, you wouldn't be here, Bekah." he smiled. "Jessy isn't the only one who has connected with you from the beginning." I blushed.

"Is that a compliment?"

"It is" he blushed slightly.

We stared at each other for a few seconds until a message notification caught our attention. It was Cleo.

She had gone to talk to the motel owner, but since she wasn't there, she spoke with her son, and the response she got was "You're the friend of the dead girl."

"Dead girl?" Jake whispered.

"They found the body of a girl. It must be her, and maybe Cleo knew the person. But since they haven't revealed the name yet, it's hard to know. But if it's Hannah, Lilly and the others will know."

"You're right, and if they know, we will too" he whispered again, and I nodded slowly.

"Something interesting Cleo mentioned: 'The man without a face.' We talked about someone who wears a mask and apparently is part of a legend in Duskwood."

"Do you believe in that kind of stuff?" he asked curiously.

"When I first started doing tricks, I used that technique, using people's knowledge of mysticism, myths, and legends to make everything even more believable. Besides, it wouldn't be the first time someone commits a crime and pretends to be a character from a book."

"I'll believe you."

"Did you know that the Pied Piper of Hamelin's story is real?" I saw him raise an eyebrow.

"You better talk to Jessica about legends."

"Dan está mamadísimo" I whispered as I saw the photos he had uploaded to his profile.

I followed the conversation with Jessy until a point.

"Jessy wants us to have a group with Richy for the legend stuff. I know it's an opportunity to talk to him and get more information, but what happened before still makes me feel upset."

"Instead of accepting or rejecting the proposal, you could ask him why he wants the group with him and then decide" he suggested.

"Good idea" I smiled. A few minutes passed until something interesting happened. "Cleo's calling, Cleo's calling!" I exclaimed.

I put the phone on speaker, so Jake could hear everything Cleo was saying. Now that we had the medical prescription, it became our priority. It was an important clue that could be related to what had happened.

"Medical prescriptions always have the date they were issued. If they match, we could know what Hannah bought at the pharmacy." I explained.

"With the metadata, it should be enough" Jake said, going straight to his computer to check the file information. "The date is very close to Hannah's disappearance. We need to find out what Hannah went to buy."

I try to change words, cause I think I repeat too many words as “whispered” “I dare” or similar, but that is because in spanish is the same problem. I have favorite words JAJAJA I wish the translation is ok, is easier to me read in english than write. And maybe, I should to translate the phrases in spanish, but I don't know. I have to think about it, because maybe I have to explain that phrases and that's complicated even in spanish
