theres something so terribly sad about how beastzai is very much the omniscient character that everyone thinks canonzai is and yet elements of his plan are so deeply flawed because he doesnt know how to work around creating anything solid without beating it together.
atsushi and akutagawa are friendly instantly. theres no reason the two of them couldnt build each other up by working together. aku himself develops his ability so well in beast because hes being tended by gentler hands than he is in canon. he flourishes under kinder teaching. their partnership could easily have been grown the same way. but dazai cant see that.

Dc x Dp Prompt #5
Demon Twin AU only Damian never had a blood son phase and has “biological siblings” (how absurd):
Damian would like to start by saying he is not at fault for this… miscommunication. Truly, how was he to know sharing the same blood as Jasmine and Danyal would make them “siblings”? Not once has anyone mentioned such absurd claims. He has never and will never treat either of the two the way he would Richard or any of his other siblings, but apparently sharing the same donors when being created automatically makes people siblings.
Worse, father is upset at him and mother for “hiding away” two of his “children” from him. Richard and Thomas will not stop staring at him. Todd, Brown, and Drake will not stop laughing. Cassandra has not stopped looking at his body language since this whole encounter started. Alfred is giving him his patented disappointed face he oh so hates but what is he to do?
Damian was not hiding anything or anyone. Jasmine and Danyal have not nor will they ever be his siblings. They are the children of Jack and Maddie Fenton just as Richard and the rest of them are Bruce’s children. Blood has nothing to do with family. They are at best “god-siblings” or “cousins” if father refuses to believe they are simply childhood companions.
There is barely a hint of emotion as father purses his lips while his siblings continue looking on at him in disbelief. Damian is not understanding why they are having trouble comprehending such simple logic. It is common sense to know that siblings are the children at least one of your parents have raised other than yourself. Parents are the people who raise you. Talia raised him therefore she is his mother. He lives with Bruce who is now raising him and therefore he is his father.
Neither Talia nor Bruce raised Jasmine or Danyal, therefore they are not siblings. It is merely coincidence that he shared blood with both Bruce and Talia. After all, every time he’s visited Amity Park, most children look nothing like their parents. How can it not be coincidence when it is clearly far more normal to raise children who don’t share an ounce of blood with you, than those who do.
How can it not be normal when Jack Fenton took Jasmine in so easily knowing he didn’t share any dna with her? Even more so with Danyal who doesn’t share even a drop of blood with either Jack or Maddie. Look at yourself father. Out of all your children, only one shares your dna. Do not try and pin this on Damian for being the only sensible person in this family. Blood siblings, ha, don’t make him laugh.

no of fence to jon snow fans who for some reason care about his exact age, but these discussions just annoy me no end. not only bc there's no way any weirwood flashbacks bran has to rhaegar/lyanna will come with time/datestamps, but also bc there's always comments like this:
Tumblr media
SEVERAL turns of the moon (ie, months)?! have these people never seen a human baby before or just have no concept of their ages? even if we take into account travel time from the toj to wf, meaning jon was not a newborn too fresh out the oven when catelyn and robb arrived, there's still a difference between a newborn and a 3mo and an even bigger difference between those infants and an older baby 5-7mo. there's very good reasons these lines were cut. whatever birthdates can be worked out internally for jon and robb from when they're first mentioned as 15 and 16 don't matter in the end, bc grrm doesn't care about a consistent timeline and the actual text of catelyn's pov and ned's convo with robert about cheating on her should outweigh any guesstimates about jon's official nameday wrt robb's. catelyn may not have cared for jon, but she would sure as hell have noticed his nameday if it came before robb's and made him ned's firstborn. if jon's birthday canonically came before robb's then either ned's cover story would not involve adultery (not impossible for him to sire a bastard before his wedding), or he'd just give jon a new nameday along with his new name to fit the adultery lie. it makes no sense for him to lie about one and not the other, undermining the big lie with a little public clue of his story not adding up. whatever else she was as a stepmother, cat wasn't stupid and a bastard who was actually the eldest son being raised alongside her trueborn heir could be an even bigger insult than whether he was born of adultery or not.
BUT, the unknowability of jon's true birthday is not the only reason this annoys me, it's bc this is all based on the assumption that jon must be older since rhaegar/lyanna ran off together before ned married cat, as if both boys must have been conceived asap as robb canonically was when his parents consummated their marriage. and that's not how human reproduction works! even if you don't understand how fast babies grow in the first year, you should know that people who get pregnant do so through ovulation cycles and a lucky sperm finding an egg and all that, not just immediately getting knocked up as soon as one has p-in-v sex for the first time. not unless you only know mean girls sex ed where if you have sex you will get pregnant and die. (even tho lyanna did die, there's plenty of canon examples where pregnancy did not lead straight to death. also examples of people who did not get pregnant right away and even some who are/were sexually active and childless without always having moon tea on hand.) we can't know how long lyanna was having sex before that sperm+egg match happened or even how long she was with rhaegar before losing her technical virginity. if they were married, doesn't it make sense to think they didn't consummate their relationship until the wedding night either? that's the only leverage there is to ensure a status as wife rather than just mistress.
and while i just said grrm doesn't care about exact timelines and a lot is still foggy surrounding the rebellion and esp rhaegar, there is one timemarker wrt robert's rebellion he voluntarily threw in, time and time again: that stannis was besieged at storm's end for almost a whole year. that siege, which mind you, did not match the duration of the entire war. it only started after robert won his battles at gulltown and summerhall, returned to storm's end, and then went out and lost the battle of ashford, leaving his homeland open to the reachermen. the same siege which only ended when ned made a detour there after the sack of king's landing, before going to the toj. even if lyanna may not have given birth that exact day ned found her, she could only be waiting in that bloody bed for weeks at the most, not months. so if rhaegar knocked her up the very same night he carried her off and jon was still a newborn when ned found her after the siege of storm's end had ended, wouldn't that mean lyanna was pregnant for well over a year? that's not how human pregnancy works either! so, maybe that's proof that jon and robb, whichever order they were actually born in, were actually very close in age as babies, much closer than if they were both conceived asap.
and really, jon's actual birthdate does not matter imho, when he was raised not just as the bastard to robb's trueborn heir, but with robb also known by catelyn and the world as ned's firstborn (which he was, in any case, as jon was ned's nephew by birth). what difference could a birthdate before robb's make (even were there some means of discovery) after ned, cat, and robb are all dead? if one is looking only at his birth parents then he's only a firstborn child on lyanna's side, but definitely a second son on rhaegar's side. maybe he was always meant to be a second son with a not much older half-brother! even if the aegon fka young griff is not in fact rhaegar's son, he'll still be known as aegon vi targaryen, meaning jon will never be known as any father's elder son. if i may reference mean girls again, it's not going to happen.

“So you pray. Have you considered your sisters? What of their rights? I agree that the North must not be permitted to pass to the Imp, but what of Arya? By law, she comes after Sansa…your own sister, trueborn…” “…and dead. No one has seen or heard of Arya since they cut Father’s head off. Why do you lie to yourself? Arya’s gone, the same as Bran and Rickon, and they’ll kill Sansa too once the dwarf gets a child from her. Jon is the only brother that remains to me. Should I die without issue, I want him to succeed me as King in the North. I had hoped you would support my choice.” (Catelyn V, ASOS)
This is truly one of, if not the, most erased passages in the books. People either completely ignore its existence or act as though George wrote it in some secret, coded language that makes it all ambiguous.

Curse AU crossed with AtB verse becomes hilarious when you think about it as Bahamut frantically running around trying to make sure the Lucis Caelum line doesn't die out before his Prophecy happens. After all Ardyn's Curse is only picking up momentum and it's becoming increasingly difficult for LCs to have even one kid that lives to adulthood.
Just, Bahamut messing with probability so Regis has his various bastards and then staring at his work.
Bahamut: Eight should be enough. Surely, one of them will make it to adulthood and not get killed in weird accidents. I only need one for this.
*Ardyn swanning in into Bastards' lives*
Bahamut: seriously?!
*Ardyn adopting the Bastards and removing the Curse from them*
Bahamut: seriously?!
*Regis somehow managing to have a kid despite the Curse and the Ring working against him*
Bahamut: sErIoUsLy?!
Ardyn: Listen up, there are eight of you, at least one of you needs to become my pawn and destroy Lucis for me.
The Bastards: *share a Look*
Thanatos: Sounds boring. Kingdoms can crumble from anything. Count me out.
Persephone: Given who my husband is I'm afraid I will have to decline. It would be far to easy.
Ardor: Sounds boring, no.
Jules: Uh. No thank you.
(Ardyn: You're too precious for this world it was never going to be you.)
Bard: Honestly no, maybe if I got to record a killer soundtrack that plays as the kingdom of Lucis crumbles around me but other than that? No.
Mercury: ME? CONTROL A KINGDOM *laughter that goes on for ten minutes followed by 'FUCK NO'*
Jupiter: I would prefer not to get involved in anything that will make Sonitus yell at me.
*everyone turns to look at Ace*
Ace:....Look, your concerns are valid. But I'm already plotting the downfall of the Imperial Dynasty I have no time to lead another kingdom to ruins.
Meanwhile Ardyn has uncursed all of them and cant wait for everythign to turn into chaos when regis finds out about his eight other children

Silvans go CHOMP
Au where the silvan elves’ answer to their enemies is to chomp down on them.
Giant spiders? Eat them.
Dragons? Tastes like chicken.
Orcs? Roast them over a fire.
Pesky Maia who do not take the hint? They have been meaning to try out a new recipe.
Their motto is “if it tries to eat you, eat them right back”.
Silvans are 90% carnivores bc, while they absolutely will not do any harm to their forest and take anything not given freely by the plants (ex: berries and fruits) they have no such reservations about any and all invaders that have the audacity to come in uninvited.
Thranduil asked Gandalf “would you like to stay for dinner?” one time, and the grey pilgrim has made a point to avoid him since. He did not like the tone or face Thranduil pulled when he invited him to dinner. It looked almost hungry.
Legolas, cooking an unidentified meat over the fire: this is a traditional meal amongst my people.
Aragorn, knowing damn well the habits of the silvans: what’s in the meat?
Legolas: 🙂
Aragorn: legolas, what’s in the fucking meat?!
Legolas: guess you’ll have to find out 😉
*after the meal*
Gimli: that was some good food, surprising considering the pointy ear made it!
Legolas: it was just some beef with some good spices 😁!
Aragorn:...
Legolas, staring straight at Aragorn: better stay on your toes.
Boromir, absolutely oblivious: huh?
Gandalf, slightly truamatized: don’t ask.
Lone night, after they’ve stopped to rest:
Legolas: do you think Sauron would taste good?
Gandalf: lALALALALALALAL-
Boromir: I’m to afraid to ask
Sam, oblivious to what Legolas means: I mean with the right spices-
Gandalf: aAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH
*when the balrog shows up*
Legolas:

Galaxy brained idea that maybe three people will get:
Feanor and Fingolfin with the Noldorin inheritance being identical to that of the Annieran rulers in the Wingfeather Saga, specifically the Throne Warden/High King set-up.
(For non-Wingfeather Saga fans: In Anniera, the crown prince/princess is the SECOND child of the high king/queen, and the eldest child becomes the Throne Warden, whose job is to protect his/her sibling from all harm/guide them in their rule. The Throne Warden is very much honored for their role, but it's made clear from birth that they will never rule.)
(For non-Silmarillion fans: Feanor is the eldest from Finwe's first wife, Miriel, and Fingolfin is his eldest son from his second wife. This is a race of immortals, so remarrying has been unheard-of before this. Feanor hates Fingolfin's guts, and after Finwe dies there's a bit of puzzlement of who actually is the king here?)

WHAT KIND OF TRAGEDY ARE YOU — wrong place, wrong time
Tumblr media
it shouldn’t have been you. oh my love, you should have lived. if only. if only you had made a right instead of a left. if only your friend hadn’t had so much to drink. if only it hadn’t rained last night. then everything would be fine. a butterfly could have flapped its wings at another time and you would have have been fine. safety was so close, and yet so far. but alas, the stars just had to align.

Older women loving Aemond would totally be into Wanderer, especially when she tells him stories of other realms.
He would find Wanderer fascinating at the least. Though given his nature, I see more of deep running fascination bordering on obsession initially—just something that itches beneath his skin as he’s shown to hold onto emotions/ideas to a festering degree. Especially given the fact I imagined Wanderer being around 500 when she would meet that generation of Targaryens/the Dance. Wanderer sees clean through him. See behind the eye (they’ve seen worse, and have experienced worse), behind the ambition (yes, he would be a better king, but tells him plenty rule without a crown; a crown is a symbol for the figurehead but loyalty of the land doesn’t always reside with the figurehead), not to mention Vhagar.
Just imagine Aemond having the biggest oh MomentTM while Wanderer bows deeply to his dragon who inhales puffing breaths of her scent and seems to melt with recognition, the snarling growls falling silent. Wanderer stroking those battle-worn scales with loving affection (likely the first time Aemond sees genuine softness and something other than mild indifference/annoyance while at the court), murmuring to the she-dragon in old Valyrian, talking about Visenya to the dragon as if they’re all old friends. Wanderer is some bizarre, ancient, otherworldly individual who looks no different than most people in King’s Landing and he finds it maddening and magnetic all in the same breath.
