Hello! Yes, the time has come: the Infamous demo is out! First I want to say that the response has been so unreal and the fact that people are so excited for this makes me both happy and nervous haha but I’m glad people have become invested in the characters that I love dearly!
The demo includes:
✮ PROLOGUE ✮
Audition for BOTB and attend the after-party hosted by Misfit Alley…and try not to get in trouble in the process.
Meet some new (and familiar faces) and spend the night three different ways.
Maybe have that long awaited conversation with your ex friend/partner that wants nothing to do with you :)
The prologue can be a bit NSFW-ish, if you so choose, so be wary of that!
✮ CHAPTER ONE ✮
Find your new drummer to replace Jazzy.
Kick off the tour!
⚠️ NOTE ⚠️ As there is quite a bit of variation and coding, it’s very hard for me as a one woman show to find every single error (trust me, I tried.) so for that I will be kindly outsourcing you guys as my makeshift alpha testers, if that’s alright (ha!).
If there are any errors, typos, or any passages that feel like they are out of context due to the game not reading the coding, please please let me know so I can fix it! Ideally I’d like the demo to be 100% polished before the next update!
Also, stat pages like Characters and Band Codex will be created next update so ignore that haha!
Band and character playlists will be up soon and I will share an update on that!
Also I would like to credit @magiciansvoyage for the pronoun template adapted from @hpowellsmith ! It is amazing and I’m very thankful for your generosity!
here it finally is!

Outline I like (especially for shorter works)
Note: I learned this in film class (which is why it says "defines the movie" at the top, but I've also had success using it for non-film writing. It's basically a three-act structure, but I find for non-novels it's easier to work with than Save The Cat, for example.
Another note: Unraveling The Map is rarely a whole scene in and of itself in my personal experience - I usually use it to create an opening image that leads into the Launch Point, which I make the first scene
Unraveling The Map - Do you have an opening scene that defines the movie?
The Launch Point - Where are we, and who are we with?
The First Leg - What’s a normal day look like in this world?
Change Course - What sets our characters off on their journey from normalcy?
The Foot of the Mountain - Okay, we’re going on this journey together. (choosing the direction for solving the problem)
Climbing The Side - It starts hard, but you get used to the problems as you go.
Through The Cave - Do you have a B story? Set that story off on its own now too.
Reassess the Problem - You’re at the middle. Is there another way to get it done?
Try and Fail - Things begin to fall apart, can they handle it?
The Fall - The worst thing happens, something so bad you don’t think you can get up.
The Hidden Clue - What do your characters discover about themselves/the problem that they never saw before?
Race To the Finish - They’re up and running no matter what
The Treasure Chest - Did they get what they came for?
Where We Go From Here - Show us the world in a new light, hint what’s next.

Just as I promised, It's official! Gods and Villains now has a PATREON!! 🚩🚩
Right now, I have one big love side story and one on the smaller side ready to go! The big-short is set sometime during the story, and our dear Stardom finally returns home after a rather difficult covert mission, but don't worry, you are there to welcome them home (± 5k words). The smaller one features Archon and the MC sometime in the crush stage of their relationship! Aside from that, you can check out the complete Archon's character sheet as well, which is filled with juicy details on The Alliance's leader that you can't find anywhere else!! 😋
There are two side stories and a complete character sheet, these are two love interests you can get to know a little more about before things begin to get serious, so enjoy! In addition to that, you guys can read a NSFW Q&A on Ace and a voting poll on the next month's character sheet.
By supporting my Patreon you will get early access to updates, numerous side stories (including NSFW content😏), different P.O.Vs, artworks, and many many other cool stuff!! And! I'll manage to dedicate even more time to this world that I'm so happy I will be able to help create!! ✨🎉

really good novel addition to this DDD scene
the theological implications of the phrase "what the devil"
Ienzo/Zexion's reputation as The Guy Who Knows Things
Lea's immediate instinct to tease him for it as soon as he speaks, followed by the realization that from Ienzo’s perspective Axel had JUST goaded someone into killing him, the fruitless hope that Ienzo would not remember that happened so that the consequences of Axel’s actions would not catch up to him after all this time, and then the decision to leave the room as soon as possible so Ienzo would not be able to bring it up

⭐️I JUST PUBLISHED MY FIRST EVER GAME!⭐️
Do you think we're soulmates in every universe? is a short (~10 mins) visual novel about love and alternate universes. It has 3 endings and includes art & coding made by your's truly.
While it isn't anything super impressive, I have been wanting to release a game (whether it was a short or long one didn't matter to me) for so long and to finally do so is super exciting for me! Thank you if you download and play it, I put my heart and soul into making it for the Dialouge Game Jam this past week. I hope this leads to me uploading bigger projects in the future, and I hope you'll be there when I do. 🧡
You can find the link to play my game down below.

not to be an old man but technologically and sociologically amazing things like MMOs becoming so natural that they've become wallpaper is honestly a shame. They're such bizzare constructs from both a subcultural and textual level

Ive seenyou mention wuxia a few times now and i wonder what that is. Would you mind explaining it to me?
not the most qualified person to explain this as i'm not, in fact, from china; but i've read a couple of wuxia so here goes:
wuxia is a genre of fiction from china specifically, about martial artists in ancient china. i don't think a specific time period is like required? obviously some dynasties are more popular but idk how it goes in that front. it just has to be Not Today and probably Too Long Ago. like pre industral revolution i think. again idk if that's a requirement, but most i've seen are from around the same relative murky pre-electricity era.
xianxia is a subgenre of wuxia that's specifically more fantasy-like, and it's not just martial arts, but also spiritual powers and cultivation (which i have no fucking clue how to explain without two hours and three tangents other than chinese magic system. if you've ever heard of chi/qi as an energy, it appears there). so like- genshin is by all accounts a xianxia, it just doesn't use the more common specific xianxia terms like cultivation. some of those are very weird to translate and probably not common for the average non-wuxia reader, so it makes sense why they're going for alternatives.
chongyun and xingqiu and xianyun are very much straight out of a xianxia. xianyun's entire story quest was the closest genshin has gotten to a straight xianxia plot so far. i highly reccomend ashikai's video on unnecessary visions if you want more info on why genshin is a xianxia hahah
cyanide narwhal has some talk of some stuff from xianxia, but that's mostly because well- fucking liyue, that's how it works there. the whole light energy striking down someone who's getting powerful and giving them godhood if they survive the strike is, while not exactly like that, something that happens in some xianxia as well.
like the way adepti work in general is just very xianxia. ashikai does a much better job explaining it than i do tbh but yeah
TL;DR: wuxia is chinese martial arts fiction in ancient china, and xianxia is a wuxia subgenre with more magic elements. also genshin is a xianxia

If I had a nickel for every time a popular, story driven LEGO theme introduced a new continuity, met with mixed to mediocre reception. Only to later share a radically different, earlier iteration of the story which involves TIME TRAVEL and sticks closer to the lore of the original series. Immediately hailed as a far superior concept which should have been moved forward with. Ignoring the fact that most of the criticisms levelled toward the final product were more a consequence of the new stories execution than its concept.
I’d have two nickels. Which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it’s happened twice.
