I'm very weary of narratives and dynamics that paint people of color as like bullies, or intolerant/bigoted, or anything of the sort against white characters cause it's not that we're infallible either within specific communities or as a collective but like...idk like I feel like we're usually in these roles more often than not (its ESP Black women and girls, and Dark skin women and girls even moreso) like, esp when shows tout themselves as progressive cause knowing how Fandoms roll esp in regards to bleeding into actors off screen I just know there are people like going the hell in, because even when they're not bad people at all or just like a fleshed out human beings let them do one thing wrong, or do something fans don't like, people never shut the fuck up about it (look at Meredith and Amelia from Grey's vs Maggie and Bailey, esp in like the second half of the Grey's run) meanwhile white characters can never do anything wrong ever even when they're very much in the wrong which hmmm does that not also sound like real life?

Something about The Littlest Libertine (the song) makes me feel about to cry and I don’t know why. Something nostalgic maybe? All kinds of music made me cry as a kid.

#been thinking about genetics and nature vs nurture and all this sort of stuff a lot lately#and just contemplating why people are the way they are and how much is sort of hardwired vs learned etc.#anyway I'm definitely wayyyy more like my dad than my mom and i think i have actually learned to become sort of the ideal companion#for people like my mom#because my mom is the harder to please and stronger personality in the household who is way more obviously emotional and sensitive#and i empathized with her automatically in a sort of female solidarity way as the household is all boys otherwise#but anyway i know im just naturally like my dad in disposition and humour and looks and everything else but i also know i probably studied#how he handles my mom and her outbursts and insecurities and learned to react to it similarly to him as well#she's a very odd mix of one of the most empathetic kindest people you'll ever meet and also incredibly critical and sensitive to criticism#and she barely ever will tell you you did a good job at anything and will point out mostly only the bad stuff or flaws in whatever you do#yet also HATES that her own mom is exactly the same way and was traumatized by that growing up herself#i honestly 100% believe her mom (my grandma) is undiagnosed autistic and simply doesnt even realize how she comes off but it really#affected my mom growing up and now she is constantly on alert for anything that could possibly be a critique of her and will throw you#under the bus instead if you ever say something even remotely close to negative about her or arent extremely thoughtful about showing up#to the multiple events she hosts every single week#anyway the way my dad usually reacts is just being extremely quiet and steady and dry humoured in reaction to this and when she starts#critiquing him and bringing up all his past failures as a way of making herself feel better about her own bad self esteem he kind of just#takes it and doesnt take it personally because he knows shes doing it for low self esteem reasons#even though its not really fair to him and she would absolutely hate anybody doing the same to her#when i think of my dad's gentle quietness and humour and how much he hates being aggressive or critical i think of when we played a#board game called qwelf once and in the game he was made to act like a drill sergeant and scold and yell at all of us as we moved#our pieces around the board and the best he could do was to mutter stuff like 'get your buns in gear there soldier!'#it makes me lol to remember it my god he simply can't it's the most unnatural thing for him in the world#anyway i always wonder how much of my similarities to him are just genes and how much are learning from him#by watching and admiring and mimicking#because having nieces shows me that kids are absolutely little sponges who try to do everything they see you doing without even knowing#if it's a good thing to be mimicking or not and that can be a bit of a terrifying responsibility as the adult#i am glad i learned good coping mechanisms from dad and how to handle unfair criticism and lack of praise in stride as well but#something i had to teach myself as an adult was how to have healthy boundaries and be assertive when i feel like im being treated poorly#because my parents are both huge people pleasers who struggle with it themselves

Constantly thinking about a conversation me and a buddy had about how people in the modern era always end up making or Headcanoning villains as homophobic or just general bigots...
#No bc I think it’s a very interesting phenomenon#our conversation came down to how people are honestly unable to comprehend a person is horrible unless they’re a bigot#the example we were talking about is how so many ppl headcanon William Afton furnaff was homophobic to make him like. worse#when like. he’s already a kiddy murderer. I don’t think he can get any worse than that? he kills kids and is an abusive father#no need for him to also be a bigot but yet it’s a popular headcanon#and my pal said it’s bc a lot of ppl are unable to comprehend villains who are complex and have complex opinions/world views#and tbh YEAH!!! I think it’s really common for us to see villains or just people we don’t like as. unable to be like us#if a person sucks then we cannot have anything in common with them. when that isn’t the case#not everyone person who’s a piece of shit is a bigot. it’s common sure but not every villain is gonna be openly racist or transphobic#if anything a villain who has the same world views as the heroes/protags/audience makes them more complex!!#because it can show that anyone who is considered ‘a good person’ can actually be a pos despite their views or show how a person can fall to#-the dark side lol#and yeah obviously in certain cases a villain being a bigot makes sense and works story wise#I know I have quite a few antagonists who are bigots#but it’s a super common pitfall to just assign an antagonist ‘oh they suck so they also hate autistic people!’ or smth instead of like#just letting their horrible actions show how they’re a horrible person#I promise if a serial killer is a serial killer then like. yeah THEYRE horrible. and if you can only see them as horrible if they’re a bigot#then uh. I don’t know what to say to that!!!!!!#also going back to the complex point I know it’s common for people to not comprehend when a character does something bad and is considered b#-ad in the story unless it is EXPLICITLY spelled out! and I think the bigot stuff ties into that#ppl refuse to be like ‘ohhh this is a villain!’ unless the guy drops a bunch of slurs lol#once again depending on the story a bigoted villain makes sense and I have several bigot Ocs#but sometimes. bad people are progressive. or just aren’t homophobic. sometimes they have the same views as us#and sometimes... that makes them scarier and better written.#IDFK why I shared this rant here I just thought it was interesting and also this is a site where ppl make every villain in media#-homophobic soooo-

I have never seen a thumbnail that manages to so effectively mock both autistic and trans people at the same time. I think maybe the worst part it's very likely this is unintentional (so I'm not hating on the creator, I just think they didn't fuly think through how this would be interpreted), I don't watch transphobic or ableist content, the reason this was recommended to me I think is that I watched a few minutes of a Sad Boyz episode where they talk about The Good Doctor

I am being haunted by carlos in the hit nightvale book It Devours!
#jontalks#im too fucking nervous to make a long post abt it but mmy god#accurate protrayls of autism and trauma in media can be something so powerful#the. breakdown carlos has at the end of the book where hes like I will be safe from that place my family will be safe from the otherworld#and like. knowing how fucking traumatized he is from it. seeing him break down into tears and get so overwhelmed at the thought of not#being able to keep people safe from the thing that caused him so much fucking pain and not feeling safe knowing its still out there#hurting people and there is nothing he can do about it#and when he finds out hes been sending people there with his experiments on accident and his first instinct after he finally realizes what#hes done is to? try everything to look for everyone and find everyone#and when he cant find everyone hes sent to dow he wants to go again and again#as a form of punishment that he doesnt deserve#it is. so crazy as someone who struggles to cope with trauma seeing a character like carlos#who so obviously has? ptsd and is fucking struggling to cope with it and him lashing out and acting irrational isnt? villianized?#it devours showing how trauma can effect someone in ways that can be confusing to someone from an outside perspective and how trauma can#eat at you if you let it and just like#seeing that. concept not be done in a way to make someone look. bad and evil is so#much its so much as someone with ptsd#ive heard alot of people mention the autistic coding of carlos in this book too and its like !!! ya!!! ya#but i wanted to talk about this bc its really sticking with me after i finished it#trauma is confusing! for both the person struggling to cope with it and the people around them#and i love to see more shit! dig into it yknow!#anyway send me asks if you wanna hear me ramble about wtnv more lol#wtnv

I love that the disability Community exists, but sometimes when I see debates about what counts as disabled versus just an impairment versus whatever...
I wish there could just be a community I could join for people with -whatever- that wouldn't cause me to constantly have to question and prove that I'm really disabled and "I promise I'm not too happy to count as oppressed" and whatever. I don't know, I just sometimes want to be able to share community in the ways the disability community does without having to watch the debates about who really counts and always worrying I'm next.
If there was something for all the people who aren't "struggling enough" to belong in the disability community, I would join it just for the relief from the hypervigilance

I’m always wondering if it was better or worse for BBT and Young Sheldon creators to say that Sheldon is NOT on the spectrum. But then I see how they treat neurodivergence on shows like Miraculous, and go probably better they keep away from stuff they don’t understand.
I suspect what happened with Sheldon’s character is that they probably modeled him after people they either didn’t know or didn’t care were on the spectrum and by the time everyone was like “hey this guy is obviously autistic” they’d made fun of him too many times to suddenly claim being pioneers of sitcom neurodivergent representation without also having to accept responsibility for their past attitudes towards him
I do, however, think the red itchy sweater episode was fantastic in delivering a message regarding some forms of neurosis
As for ML, it is, at its core, a tell don’t show series. These characters are in love, are close friends, are good at X and Y, are passionate about this and that, hate Z, so on and so forth. We rarely learn about characters and happenstances through actions, to the point where very clear irrefutable events are verbally retconned by random characters and we’re supposed to accept what they say as canon over what we saw. It doesn’t matter if characters are noticeably queer, neurodivergent, good/bad at something, biased about certain people/subjects, struggling with XYZ, etc. If someone doesn’t outright state it, it isn’t canon. This is where the crew loves to claim brownie points for representation but doesn’t actually do anything that might upset the Suits and their bigotry. They have an ethnically diverse character lineup but they’re all perfectly assimilated to white french culture and rarely acknowledge their own supposed heritage. They criticize police abuse but have the victims apologize to their assailants. They have queer characters but their relationships are mostly implied off-screen so they have plausible deniability. They have kids whose parents are clearly mistreating them to the point of leaving lifelong scars and affecting their ability to become functional members of society but it’s obviously not abuse.
I swear there’s some kind of disconnect between the dialogue and the action lines on the script, like no one member of the crew knows what the other is doing and everything is just taped together at the end with no revisions

Ride Home
Frat! Rafe Cameron x fem reader
While you’re walking your dog, Rafe, who goes to college with you offers you a ride to one of his parties. Due to your shy nature, he decides to finally break you out of your shell.
W.C is a little over 1.5K! Dividers by @xxbimbobunnyxx
Warnings! Brief male masturbation! Oral! Male receiving! Unprotected sex! Choking! Spitting! Degrading! Reader is autistic and shy (from my own experience with it but it’s not explicitly said) daddy kink as always
Your music blared as you walked your dog down down the sidewalk, your baby boy Sammy was happily trotting next to you as your vans slapped against the pavement. Your headphones were secured on your head as you didn’t notice a car horn beeping next to you until you happen to glance to the left.
Rafe Cameron was driving next to you, his eyebrows raised and his speed slowed. “Hey, I’ve been saying your name over and over,” You gave him a side glance and continued walking.
“Don’t ignore me pretty girl, I know I’ve been kind of an asshole before. Let me give you a ride,” He offered and you finally paused your stride.
“What about Sammy?” He panted next to you and Rafe sighed, opening the passenger door.
“Obviously he can come too. I know how much you love animals, baby.” After a few more seconds of contemplating, you walked forward and opened the back door. Allowing your dog to get in and settle in the background.
You climb in the passenger seat, the comfortable material of your shorts and black shirt clinging to your curves. Rafe drove forward but his right hand reached over and settled on the back of your chair.
It wasn’t the first time Rafe drove you home but normally you didn’t offer him more than a few words. You both were in the same university, you studied psychology while he was in business. He was a dick, you had to admit. He was loud and obnoxious too. Something that made you insane. When he drove, he listened to music you couldn’t stand, ranted and raved about topics you had no idea or interest in.
The first and only time you had attended a frat party, Rafe, topper and Kelce took you home while they acted crazy. You sat in the back of the car but if you were being honest with yourself…that’s when you really noticed how hot he was.
But you never acted on it.You weren’t experienced in the romance department, let alone someone of his status and social skills.
“Care to share with the class?” His voice took you out of your thoughts and you looked over at him. You adjusted your headphones off your ears, showing off your piercings and Rafe smirked.
“Come on. You can play your music. You’re always so fuckin quiet. I wanna know what goes on in that pretty head of yours.” Quirking an eyebrow, you finally look him in the eyes.
“I don’t want to break your radio, Rafe.” He chuckles and snatches your phone.
“Shut up.” He begins to scroll and you try to take it back but he shakes his head. “Nope. I’m connecting it and putting my number in, nerdy girl. About time I had it.”
“Why would you want my number?” You cross your arms and Rafe nudges you with his elbow.
“Because obviously you need someone to drive you around. Speaking of which, we’re going to my house.”
“Absolutely not.” You protest and he continues driving. Playing your loud rock music and he sets his SnapBack straight on his head. “Take me home. What about Sammy?”
“Relax, baby. We have enough space for him and I want you at my party. You’re always hiding in your dorm. You need to get out. Be around people.”
“And why is that?” You roll your eyes, mumbling and he snorts.
“Because it’s good for you. You’ll know me, Top and Kelce. And I promise your dog will be fine.” He answers before you can come up with another excuse. Sighing, you lean against the window.
“I’m not dressed for a party.” You whine and Rafe reaches over, putting his hand on your thigh and he squeezes lightly.
“You can borrow something of Sarah’s. I know she doesn’t have the same style but it’ll work.”
“She won’t mind?”
“Nah. If she does, she’ll make an exception for you.” He keeps his hand on your leg and you heart flutters. You don’t ask him to move it as you make the final turn to his house.
When you arrived, your dog wandered around the large space and was the center of attention of the arriving guests. Rafe was late to his own party as you picked out one of Sarah’s’ shirt that was as close to your size and you adjusted it around your body. Your cleavage was exposed as you followed the sound of Rafe’s voice.
“There she is!” He turned when you caught his eye and you slowly approached him. He was talking to Topper and a few other people. He slung an arm around your shoulder, bringing you close to his body.
“Thought I was gonna have to come and find you.” You swallowed as he continues his conversation and you realize he still had your phone. It was in his pocket and you reach to get it but he turns his hips away.
“Rafe, give me my phone.” You huff and he leans down to your ear.
“What will you give me if I do?” Goosebumps rise on your skin and you clear your throat. Rafe’s eyes scan your face and he smirks. “When you’re actually looking me in the eye, it’s a lot easier for me to tell what you’re thinking.”
The crowd seemed to disappear as you had the boldness to ask him, “what do you think is on my mind?”
His mouth moves to a full on smile and he winks at you. Turning you both away from his friend group for a moment. “Try to be a good girl and be patient. You’re gonna be here with me and wait to go back to my room in a little bit.”
He was teasing you on purpose as the hours went on, his arm either looped around your neck or around your waist as he entertained everyone and kept reassuring you that your dog was okay. The noise was overwhelming but his secure hold kept you grounded. His fingers brushed your skin underneath your sleeve, he often leaned down to whisper in your ear and gently pressed his lips against you when telling you someone’s name.
You felt awkward since this wasn’t your scene but the drink from the cup you held in your hand relaxed you and you even managed a few words in response to others.
But your core fluttered the more you looked him and enjoyed his touch. As you walked down the hallway, finally alone, you snatched your phone from his pocket with a giggle. Rafe gasped and wrestled your arms above your head with one hand while his other slid down to your hip.
“Bad girl. Now you gotta pay up.” He whispered before pressing his lips to yours, mouth parted in a deep kiss. You moaned and your leg lifts to wrap around his waist. He lifts you up, your arms go around his neck as he opens his room door and closes it.
Your tongue massages his before he sucks it, laying you down on the bed and he pulls back. Your phone back in his palm and he heatedly stares at you. “Now I’m gonna find out the dirty things you keep in here.”
Rafe opens your phone and groans when he opens your photos. Seeing all your pictures, ones you never thought anyone would see. He down at you, “take off your pants, panties too. And give them to me.”
You listen to him, peeling them both off and you toss your lace material thong to him. The soaked middle crumples in his fingers as he brings them to his mouth. He licks them, his other hand reaching inside his boxers as he tugs himself.
“No, that’s not fair-“ You whine as your legs part, your cunt pulsing as you watch him stroking his dick.
“Uh uh. You stay there. And I’ll decide when you get to touch me. I wanna watch you get all worked up.” You shake your head, lifting your body and you tangle your hands in his shirt. You slam your lips to his and bite down. He makes a noise of surprise before he gives in and returns the kiss.
You use your momentum to sink to your knees and he mumbles, “Fuck. You wanna suck my dick? Eager little slut huh?” You take off his underwear, wasting no time before wrapping your hand around his cock and licking the side.
His hand steadily sets on your head and he pulls your hair. “That’s my fuckin girl.” He rolls his head back as you take his tip in your mouth, sucking him softly but he thrusts his hips.
You take him further down your mouth, stroking him at the same time with your hands on his soft skin before you focus attention on his balls, licking them before sucking between your lips.
“God damn, pretty girl. Fuckin choking on daddy’s dick like a whore?” He cums in your mouth and it leaks from the corners as he tugs your head back. Slapping his cock against your tongue before he pushes you on the bed.
Rafe shoves your legs apart, giving your pussy a slap and you whine. “Covered in my cum and making sweet sounds from me slapping your pussy?”
He slams into you, balls slapping against your ass as he wraps a hand around your throat. “Shittt, princess. So tight around me-the fuck were you bein so selfish for? Keeping this pussy from me?”
You whimper and your hands reach up to dig in his shoulders.
“I want you to fuckin talk, baby. You gotta make me hear how good I’m making you feel.” Rafe’s rhythm is hard and rough as the headboard moves against the wall.
“Mmm-I-“ You try and he shakes his head.
“Use. Your. Words.” He growls.
“Fuck, I want you to spit in my mouth. Please!” You squeak from his grip and he breathes heavier.
“Earn it then. Beg me. Earn me treating you like the pathetic, greedy slut you are.” He taunts and you whimper.
“You’re-the slut-you fucking perv.” You fire back, ripping off his hat and you wrap your legs around his hips. Bringing him impossibly closer. “You fucked yourself thinking about me-more than once. I know it. How’s that for earning it?”
Rafe spits in your mouth before sucking your lip and you cry against his kiss. Creaming on his cock as it gives him more control, you swallow it and your eyes roll back as he cums in you. His seed fills you up, dripping down his dick as he fucks you through it. Making you jolt from aftershock, but he shows no sign of slowing down.
“Open your eyes, baby girl. I want you to ride my fuckin face. I wanna taste that perfect pussy.”

The Assembly sees a cast of thirty-five interviewers who are autistic, neurodivergent or learning disabled, question an A-list celebrity for one extraordinary TV interview.
In this half-hour special, it's multi-award-winning actor and director, Michael Sheen, who is to face the grilling of a lifetime from the unique collective. No subject is out of bounds, no question is off the table.
On subjects as diverse as ex-girlfriends and on-screen kisses, to the OBE he gave back or his favourite motorway, how will the Good Omens star fare as The Assembly bring their unique approach to the celebrity interview?
The Assembly cast is a diverse cast ranging in age from eighteen to seventy-seven, amongst the group are musicians, artists, writers and students. Each will take their own approach in their attempt to get to the truth of Michael Sheen like nobody before has- whether that’s finding out his favourite sandwich filling or how he felt when his daughter was born.
The format is an adaptation of French show Les Rencontres Du Papotin, which saw the likes of Emmanuel Macron and Camille Cotin (Call My Agent) face the neurodivergent journalists of the Papotin. Gone was the flattery of the usual celeb fare – in its place, a mix of mischievous prodding, leftfield quizzing and profound exchanges. The superstars left completely off guard: actors asked about a driving ban or the death of a parent, the President asked if it’s really the behaviour of a role model to marry one’s teacher.
The show comes from Michelle Singer and Stu Richards' Rockerdale Studios, creators of mischievous content which seeks to put disabled agency at its heart. Stu is also known for co-creating and writing the BBC Three comedy, Jerk, and Rockerdale are most known for Channel 4’s Mission: Accessible.
Rockerdale Studios has worked closely with the BBC’s Creative Diversity Team, to ensure every element of the series works for and with autistic and neurodivergent voices.
The Assembly is a half-hour special to celebrate Autism Acceptance Week. Expect profound revelation, glorious chaos, and a lot of laughs.
The Assembly airs Friday 5 April, 10:40pm on BBC One and iPlayer
Interview with Michael Sheen
Tumblr media
What made you say yes to being a part of The Assembly?
I said yes to being a part of The Assembly because it was just such an extraordinary and interesting idea. Then reading about the original French series, it just sounded so extraordinary, different and potentially a very revealing way to approach the tried and tested interview process, but obviously it is a lot more than just being an interview. The interview part of it is just one aspect of the project and I think there is still a lot of confusion, ignorance and fear around people with any kind of difference. I think being able to be involved in a project like this could maybe break down some of those barriers.
How is this different from any other TV show you’ve been a part of?
It’s very much unfiltered and that’s really exciting and quite nerve wracking for that reason! So much on TV is sort of smoothed out and filtered and made safe and this, certainly in the making of it, felt very not that! All the better and more refreshing for it too. I know a lot of work is put into the research and preparation for a show like this, but in terms of the actual questions being asked and the experience that you have in all being together when you’re filming, it feels very unpredictable in a really good way and really lead by the people taking part, which is terrific.
How did you feel going into filming?
Well I didn’t really have anything to go on, so I was excited. Sometimes when I’m going to be interviewed, I know what the interview is going to be about, I have a vague idea of the questions that will come up, I know the sort of things that I need to get across about what I’m there to talk about. But with this, I really had no idea what I was going to be asked, so I had to be prepared for everything and anything, there was a kind of freedom in that I suppose. Because of the unfiltered nature of what was going to happen and not being able to anticipate what might be asked, it was a little nerve wracking yes, but I was mainly just very excited!
Did your experience differ from what you were expecting and if so how?
Well I didn’t know what to expect really, so it’s not that it wasn’t what I was expecting because you can’t expect anything! There's no way you can expect anything because you just don’t know what’s going to happen, and because it is so unfiltered and unpredictable in terms of what might happen, where things might go, how people might be feeling on the day. For all the difficult questions that got asked at times, it just felt very loving and joyful and that everyone was very happy and excited to be there even though people were nervous or had anxiety at different times. There was a genuine feeling of community and I felt very welcomed into that community and ready to play so to speak, and you have to be ready to play. I felt very safe and looked after and it was just really, very funny as well – there was lots of laughter and wonderful things that people asked, responded to and performed, I mean I wasn’t expecting all of that, that was just wonderful! So many moments that I’ll never forget.
How does this compare to any other interview you’ve experienced?
It’s so unfiltered! The closest thing I can say is The One Show, where you go on to talk about one thing and then they ask you about everything else that’s going on on the show, so you get a question about your favourite bus route, then they ask you about otters! There’s an extraordinary pinball effect of questions and that’s the closest I could describe, but The Assembly is that x100. It really is extraordinary and that’s very unlike any other interview I’ve done really, usually everything is meant to follow on logically and have a kind of smoothness and polish to it, and this is just really raw and unfiltered and uncensored and I love that, I thought that was wonderful.
What can viewers expect from the show?
I imagine it will be very funny and I think quite moving. I was quite moved at times by seeing how much people had to struggle to overcome certain things they were dealing with in order to ask questions at times. That was uplifting. I think it will be different, it will be thought provoking I hope, and challenging in certain ways; challenging certain kinds of myths and stereotypes I think and ultimately just really entertaining and fun and joyful. I can’t really remember what I said, so I don’t know what people will learn about me... but it’s not about me, it’s about that fantastic group of people, but I certainly got a huge amount out of it too and I hope an audience will as well.

Autistic Anime Boys Finale
Tumblr media
Poll Propaganda:
Haru -
"I mean, obviously he's the autistic boy obsessed with water and everyone knows that, but his whole character arc pretty much stems from this quote he says at the start of the show: "There's an old saying my late grandma taught me. When you're ten, they call you a prodigy. When you're fifteen, they call you a genius. Once you hit twenty, you're just an ordinary person." And if that doesn't scream autistic kid being singled out at a young age and then panicking about not knowing how to deal with the expectations of being older, then I don't know what does.
… But also, yes, he's the water guy. They had to stop him from climbing into a fish tank in a shop one time."
Laios -
"He is the most autistic man ever! He’s obsessed with monsters and eating them (his special interest). He’s not the best when it comes to understanding social cues or people’s feeling toward him. Like one guy fucking hates him and only tries to get along with Laios because he is in love with his sister. Laios thinks that they are friends."

You know what, it's so refreshing seeing clearly autistic-coded characters like Edwin and Niko portrayed with so much emotion. They aren't the cold sociophobic savant stereotype - yes, both aren't that great with people (Niko tries her best <3), very book smart and I believe Edwin is more on the introverted side of the scale, and both are pretty reserved in their displays of emotion by default, but they do still show their feelings (which can burst out full volume, especially in Niko's case).
And they both so painfully obviously care.
It's easier to see with Niko who goes all out once broken from her self-inflicted solitary confinement in her apartment. Edwin doesn't show that much at first, especially with his reaction to Crystal. But by gods does he care - not even just about Charles and later Crystal and Niko. The ghosts and people they meet don't leave him indifferent either, it's just not always possible for the emotions to be reflected on the outside.
The show just keeps giving huh.

Some of the reasons I think Stolas is on the spectrum
(finally getting around to popping this on up too).
He has special interests & misses social cues while being happy in them.
It not really normal to be happy reading legal documents when someone's life is on the line. But Stolas is just vibing that he gets to help with his love of words. Yay him!

He stims when both happy & sad to help regulate his emotions.
His happy stims are:
*clapping when he gets to take Via to the circus, because he thinks they can enjoy it together.
He also does this with contract reading.
Tumblr media
*He hopps up and down when his dad gives him a new books. Also when getting ready for his date with Blitz. He's just so happy he needs to hop.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
His sad stims:
*are bang his head again and again about the engagement.
Tumblr media
*He self sooves with chest strokes when Blitz says his outfit is too much.
Tumblr media
*He hand rubs and wringing his hat when worrying about Via in LA.

Special interests
The there's that Stolas info dumps on the playdate with Blitz all about his books and about plants.
Tumblr media
Stolas also feels he has to explain why Blitz horse joke was soo funny. And why's it so funny?
Because it's accurate. I love his little cutie.
Tumblr media
But he's also kept up his love of plants as a major hobby now he's an adult. When most people tend to swap interests as they age.
Tumblr media
Side bar
His comfy resting hand position is t rex hands. This tends to be an autistic thing. Also works well as an owl.
Tumblr media
Sensory issues
Stolas appears to also have some sensory issues too. When his a child he appears to be struggling when Mr Butler touches his hair out of nowhere.
Tumblr media
But he's fine with Blitz doing it when they're kissing. This shows a lot of trust between them.
Tumblr media
I think it's likely sensory issues are the reason why he swaps into his comfy, very old robe, as often as he can too.
Tumblr media
Specific communication issues
While Stolas is very good at some communication styles, he's pretty bad at others.
When the audience think it's another joke about wanting to keep a puppy; he immediately knows Blitz's is panicking the studio. And tries to get to him.
Tumblr media
However he doesn't get that his dirty talk is way OTT, because he's mostly likely coping it from the erotica. Not lived experience.
Tumblr media
Speaking of erotica.
There's obviously a rule that reading is allowed at the diner table. But Stolas doesn't get This book isn't appropriate to read there.
Another rule he appears to follow more rigidly than most probably would; is that when you get an appointment you wait till you're seen.
Ozzie's ment to met Stolas at noon, but doesn't make it till 4 pm because of problems with work.
Stolas is only a couple of days out of the hospital and is probably feeling horrible.
But he sticks around a minimum of 4 hours to be seen, because he feels he has to.
(I'm assuming he also got taught you turn up earlier rule, but this just a guess).
Tumblr media
Stolas genuinely wants to do something Via will enjoy, and he's fine taking Via to stylish occult when she asks.
But didn't get it till she's crying and sad that she wasn't enjoying Loo Loo Land.
"I take it you are.. not having fun." She needs to spell it out. Sarcasm isn't easy for him to interrupt.
Tumblr media
His was obviously thought taking his daughter and his lover out to a theme park would be a good way to introduce them.
It's the sort of plot that only works on a novellas. And that's probably when he got it from. (Probably worked great for Gabrielle and Alejandro).
Tumblr media
These are examples of him Masking, and not understanding why it didn't work.
Stella's being dangerous to be around = take Via out somewhere for her to have fun to blow off steam.
Wanting your lover and daughter to like eachother = ask IMP to tag along as the completely unnecessary bodyguards.
He doesn't really get that flirty with his affair partner, in front of his kid while going through a divorce isn't a good idea...
He also struggles to understand when his flirting comes off as condescending too. With "ittybity imps like you" or calling him Blitzy in public. He's most likely him coping language from other goeita.
But Stolas is very good at knowing when knowing when Blitz is fine being picked up, when to reassure him with face stokes, or how to calm Blitz down from a panic attack in just a few seconds.

So it's not that he's just never learnt these skills. It's just that some communication skills are harder for him than others.
But if you disagree that fine. 🙂 I just wanted to put down some of my thoughts why I think he could be.
