If we do ever get a Reva spin-off show (or movie, whatever), I would like to put it out there that it shouldn't have a SINGLE cameo. Not one. No Rebels characters, no Sequels characters, no Force ghosts, no Ahsoka, no Luke or Leia, no other Jedi survivors, NOBODY. No cameos, just Reva and a cast of original characters.

A Dyad in the Force (Obi-Wan Kenobi x Reader) - Chapter 1
Tumblr media
~Chapter 1~
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...
The engines roared as the Nubian Royal Starship flew across the stars. They were rapidly approaching a large, desert planet, one that laid far beyond the outskirts of the Trade Federation.
"That's it. Tatooine... there's a settlement," The young man with the long braid said, looking out at the planet they were approaching. He was dressed in tan robes, with a brown cloak around his body. The rest of his hair was tied back into a ponytail, resting on the back of his head.
A taller, older man with long brown hair looked at the boy, speaking in a low, coarse voice, "Land near the outskirts. We don't want to attract attention."
The ship slowly entered the planet's atmosphere, proceeding to make its landing in the desert. As the ship steadily landed on the sand and the engines' roars died out, the young man suddenly felt something, as if an invisible force was tugging from inside of him. Just as he was about to question it, the door suddenly opened and the older man, Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn, walked into the room. He quickly dismissed his thoughts and looked up at Qui-Gon, "The hyperdrive generator's gone, Master," the young padawan, or Obi-Wan, spoke, "We'll need a new one."
Qui-Gon let out a soft sigh, "That'll complicate things," he looked in the other direction before looking back at his padawan, "Be wary. I sense a disturbance in the Force." Obi-Wan perked up a little, realizing that it wasn't just him who felt the shift, "I feel it also, Master." Qui-Gon nodded in response, "Don't let them send any transmissions." And with that, the Jedi Master left, leaving the young man to deal with the ship.
Obi-Wan nodded softly and took a few steps back, trying to figure out what exactly to do next. While his head said to continue checking the ship, his heart was saying something different. He felt the Force calling him to something, but what? He tried to ignore it and keep working, but the call was too much to bear. After a moment of hesitation, Obi-Wan sighed in defeat and walked around the ship, trying to find a decent spot to meditate in. He hoped that by clearing his mind he would find peace and would be able to continue his work.
Obi-Wan soon found himself a small closet, sitting cross-legged on the ground with his hands resting on his thighs. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes, focusing on his breathing as he felt the Force around him. He slowly began to levitate off the floor as he ventured deeper into the Force. He began to see glimpses of his Master, the handmaiden, the Gungan, and the droid as they walked around Mos Espa, trying to search for a shop that had their needed parts.
"The few spaceports like this one are havens for those that don't wish to be found."
"Like us."
The young Jedi aimed to continue watching, but suddenly he felt a very strong call in the Force. The images suddenly changed from those of his Master to those of an unknown figure. Darkness began to surround him, and he levitated higher off the ground.
Obi-Wan walked over to the mysterious silhouette, readying his lightsaber just in case. He slowly approached, saying only one thing, "Who are you?"
The person quickly turned around and snarled at him, revealing themselves to be a beautiful woman with golden eyes. She quickly drew her red lightsaber and struck at Obi-Wan, with him just barely countering the attack. He strained softly as he pushed against the lightsaber, "You're.. You're a sith!" He growled softly and looked into her eyes, and suddenly everything stopped.
The woman disappeared, leaving Obi-Wan alone. He looked around and saw images of someone who appeared to be an older version of him, along with a girl who looked oh so similar to the Sith he just fought.
Future Obi-Wan held the girl in his arms, "Starlight...promise me you'll be safe, ok? I couldn't-"
The image quickly whisked away into another, one of him sitting across from the girl, "Y/n, look at me. You can do this. You can find the-"
Just like before, the vision went away before he could see the full moment. Obi-Wan looked around, extremely confused, "Wait..who is she?-"
"Obi-Wan.." A female voice called out, "Obi-Wan..."
Obi-Wan looked around, desperately trying to find the source of the voice, "Hello??"
"Obi-Wan...Obi-Wan....OBI-WAN!"
Obi-Wan's eyes shot open as he plummeted to the ground, barely catching himself with the Force. He panted as he wiped the sweat off of his forehead, looking around him. Who was that woman? And why was he with her? Attachments were forbidden by the Jedi Code, so why did he appear to be close to her?
Obi-Wan shook his head as he stood up, walking out of the closet and going outside, trying to rid his mind of the non-stop questions. Once out of the ship, he took a deep breath as he looked around him, "Sand...some buildings...more sand...sand again..." The young Jedi sighed, "...not sure why I came out here, honestly. It's just sand."
As he prepared to turn around and head back inside, he felt it again- the tug within the Force. He quickly scanned the area, stopping when he felt it again. Obi-Wan bit his lip and looked back at the ship, hesitating for a moment before he began to run, following where the Force was beckoning him to go.
---
You suddenly froze as you felt something tight in your chest. Dropping the pieces of metal you were sorting, you immediately run outside of the dusty, old shop, and look out on the street. Breathing heavily, you take a look around, unable to shake the tug which is relentlessly pulling from inside of you. That was the second time you had felt that strange sensation today. As you were trying to focus on the feeling, you sensed a familiar presence coming from behind you. You furrowed your brows as you heard him approach.
"Y/n, get bata tah work! Mee did nopa give u permission tah leave do post!," The shop owner said to you in Huttese, in the ever threatening tone he always spoke in.
You growled softly, your eyes hueing into the yellow shade of gold without you knowing. You snapped your head back at the owner, "I'll be there when I'll be there!" You breathed heavily as you could feel your anger rising.
The shop owner wasn't having it. He simply glared at you and said, "Noah, ateema! Mo else u won't get do portion che do week!"
You looked down, your anger growing as you realized you couldn't win. You swiftly stormed back into the shop, your eyes glowing brighter and deeper with each second. How you longed for the day when you could get out of there; burn that dusty old shop down to the ground and leave. As many times as you planned to attempt that, you always remembered the one crucial fact keeping you from fulfilling your dream: you had a tracking device inside of you. All the slaves had one. And you knew that even if you were able to execute your revenge, you would be blown up in an instant.
Hating the very meaning of your existence, you went back to your work station and continued sorting the pieces of scrap metal, the darkness only growing inside of you. The other slaves could only cower in fear and move stations as the gold in your eyes shimmered, seeming so light but yet exuding so much darkness.
---
Obi-Wan continued to run into the town, his cloak flapping as he quickly followed the Force. "Hot," he grumbled, "Why does it have to be so hot??" He stopped for a moment to breathe, wiping the sweat from his forehead as he looked around. Just as he was about to continue running, his eyes suddenly caught a glimpse of a small store that sat on the corner of the street.
"Obi-Wan.." He heard a voice say from inside his head.
Obi-Wan breathed heavily as he started walking towards the store.
"Obi.."
The Force beckoned the young Jedi towards the store. With every step he took, Obi-Wan could feel another tug within his heart. As he finally entered the shop, a shiver went down his spine as he immediately sensed the darkness coming from nearby. As the shop owner approached him, Obi-Wan quickly dismissed him before moving towards the back of the store, searching for the source of darkness, of which the likes he had never felt before.
In a moment of pure connection, Obi-Wan suddenly felt a Force signature wrap around his, and he realized that it was the one of the girl in front of him; you. He took a deep breath and approached you, not standing so close as to avoid startling you, "Excuse me, miss?"
---
You had sensed a strange presence ever since he had entered the shop, but you were struggling to put your finger on exactly what it was. Within a moment, you felt as if a part of your soul had just been intertwined with another. Before you could even question the sensation you just experienced, you heard a voice coming from behind you.
Annoyed that you were disrupted from both your work and your thoughts, you snapped your head towards him, and your deep yellow eyes met his soft blue ones.
The moment the two of you locked eyes, it was as if the entire galaxy had suddenly stopped. As if life itself had ended, and was reborn with the two of you. You hadn't the slightest idea of what was truly going on, but you felt a light inside of you. One that wasn't there before.
Obi-Wan, on the other hand, could sense the sheer darkness coming from you. Out of pure instinct, he reached for his lightsaber, wanting to rid of this evil for the good of the Force. However, the Force itself quickly stopped him, calling him to focus on you. As he truly looked into your eyes once more, he noticed how the color was changing.
As you felt the warmth and light inside of you, the yellow in your eyes indeed began to fade. It wasn't long before they were the beautiful shade of y/c that they always were. The ones that shined as bright as the twin suns you saw each day.
Obi-Wan let his hand pass by his lightsaber and he quickly cleared his throat, smiling softly, "Hello there."
You gave a small smile back, "Hello.." This was the first time you truly had a chance to take him in. Your eyes immediately caught on to the long braid hanging over his right shoulder; you had never seen anything like it. You followed the braid up and soon found yourself looking into his eyes again. You had seen thousands of eyes in your lifetime, but never any as beautiful as the ones right in front of you. Never in your life have you seen such a beautiful shade of blue.
Obi-Wan noticed you staring, and he chuckled softly, causing you to quickly look down and go back to your work. The young Jedi stood next to you, looking at you with a warm smile, "So..what's your name?"
"Y/n," You replied, not looking up from your work. Did you actually wanna be working? Absolutely not; but it was better than embarrassing yourself again.
Obi-Wan sighed softly, "What's your last name?" He paused, waiting for your answer only to be waiting for nothing. He looked at you, "..you know you can look at me, right? I promise I don't bite."
You took a deep breath, hesitating for a moment before turning to look at him, "I don't have a last name. It's just Y/n."
Obi-Wan had a softer expression on his face, "Really?" He looked down as you nodded in response, "I see...so, where are you from?" Was he trying to get information to give to the council? Yes, yes he was. It was his duty as a Padawan and a Jedi. Although honestly. he also wanted to get to know you for himself. He was so intrigued by you, and just by being at your side, he was feeling something he had never felt before.
You sighed, "You're really asking me every question possible, aren't you?"
"I'm sorry, I could-"
"No, it's fine." You said, "But just to warn you, I'm not that interesting."
Obi-Wan knew that was a lie, but he continued to listen to you nonetheless.
You took a deep breath in, feeling a little defeated, "I don't know where I'm from, ok?"
"Well..what about your family?"
"I DON'T-" You groaned before taking a deep breath, trying to stay calm, "I don't have a family, got it? For as long as I can remember, it's always been me." You looked down as you remembered the few small glimpses you had of your childhood. You don't recall a father ever being there, but you do remember your mother. She was beautiful and kind, but she was weak. She couldn't protect herself against the dangers of Tatooine. As much as she 'tried' to protect you by hiding you away, you sometimes wished she would've kept you with her. That you wouldn't have been found and that you never would've become a slave. You curled your fists, your eyes beginning to turn yellow again as you felt the darkness come back.
Obi-Wan could sense your emotions and pain through the newly formed bond, but he knew better than to read your mind and find out what was troubling you. So, he decided that he would try to comfort you. He stepped closer, but before he could say anything, the shop owner came back over, glaring at Obi-Wan, "U ya! Why are u talking gee myo shag! She sa supposed tah be working! Ateema either bedwana something mo leave myo shop!"
The young Jedi looked back at him, raising his hand, "You will-"
"You will leave us alone!" You looked at the owner, your eyes glowing yellow. As you spoke, you suddenly felt a strong sense of power rush through you. You smirked softly as you let the darkness consume you for a short moment.
The shop owner spoke back, "Mee will leave u solo." He turned and walked away without saying a word more.
Obi-Wan simply looked at you, stunned speechless after what you had just done. More importantly, he could sense the immense darkness coming from you, and it worried and terrified him at the same time.

Hey bestie 💖 I'd like to request 1, 10, and 11 for "The Daimyo's Princess" for the fanfic ask game! I loved how the reader pushed through her discomfort to get what she needed and how Boba encouraged her to do so. That's so him, making sure his princess gis taken care of and gets what she needs 😌 hope you're having a good weekend!!
Send Me a Fanfic Writer Ask
Finally getting around to this answer lol I did have a good weekend :) I hope you did too!! Thank you for loving on The Daimyo's Princess!! I was so nervous writing Boba but this is one that came straight from my heart.
What inspired you to write the fic this way?
Oh this was 100% self indulgence. I was really just fucking done with my job that day - everything that could go wrong did and in exactly the way I had said it would. The solution was one I proposed weeks ago ... but this time a colleague said it and he got the credit.
When I'm overwhelmed I like to be pampered the way Boba 100% would pamper his girl. But on this occasion, I wasn't looking for that. I wanted validation that I was smart, that I conducted myself appropriately, that I was doing the right thing and it's not my fault office politics suck. I also wanted to reclaim a little of the power and pep in my step that the endeavor took from me.
As much as Boba would pamper someone, he would also really be supportive of them being a Boss in their own right. I think he would LOVE to see his partner full of confidence and he feels 100 ft tall knowing he's the person she looks to when that confidence is starting to crack.
So ya, I wrote what I needed emotionally lol. I'm glad to hear it resonates with others too! It was only after writing it that I realized I could add a few lines to highlight the setting and the "kill or be killed" nature of Tatooine to cross off another Bingo square. That made me super happy lol.
10: Why did you choose this pairing for this particular story?
I chose Boba because he's the perfect mix of authority and soft caretaker. Since this was so self-indulgent and I wanted validation, I wanted it to come from a character who would call a partner out when they're wrong. So validation coming from him means something, there's weight to it.
Also, as Daimyo, his power is visible. Public. I wanted to write a Reader who has a strong sense of self and work ethic but isn't a traditional leader reclaim her power publicly.
11: What do you like best about this fic?
It's a comfort fic. The situation at work is still about the same, so I come back to this a lot to read it and get comfort and it still makes me feel strong but also cared for.
That and Reader's BURN toward the end. I was so damn happy with how that dialog came out.
Thanks for sending these in, and again for loving on my sole (for now) attempt at Boba!!! (Don't worry, I still have the Taken idea in my WIPs)

star wars valentine’s day <3
(i’m rlly sorry this was supposed to include han and leia too but i got very tired and then ran out of time)
Padmé and anakin: Anakin was only home for one valentines day with padmé. The other ones, rest assured, were rife with hearts, just human ones that were beating outside of chests and white armor as skin was shredded. Better than the ones that stopped beating.
He honestly??? Was so so lost. He realized only a few days before that he would probably be home for valentines day, assuming he wasn’t called away only a day before like the prior year. He scrambled to a store, but all the chocolates were sold out and the 3 credit roses were wilted. Eventually he arrived at her door out of breath, his hair ruffled from exasperated hands, clutching a bouquet of dandelions he found sprouting between cracks in bricks of some apartment building. When he pictured spending the night with his wife, he had imagined fancy sparkly alcohol and in one hand, a pile of chocolate boxes up to his shoulder and a bouquet larger than her door frame in the other. He wanted to give her everything, anything, but all he had was a pretty rock he found two days prior on the tour he had just returned from and this fresh but underwhelming bouquet.
He was silly to think padmé needed anything less. She had him, after all.
The disaster trio: (disclaimer: if you take either of these in a shipping way im going to block you. My dad sends me flowers every year. My mom sends my brother and me a box of chocolate hearts. Let anakin get his little sister a gift. Let obi wan and anakin be brothers. anyways.)
It was a total coincidence that anakin HAPPENED to buy a little box of chocolates a few days before valentines day. A heart? Whats that! He doesn’t know what that is. He just likes those chocolates more than other brands and it happens to be small and cheap and who cares that it comes with a little stuffed loth-cat in ahsoka’s favorite color? He didn’t notice, and neither should you. It was a coincidence, yes siree.
The first year in their apprenticeship, she wasn’t expecting it. Actually, neither was anakin. They had just come back from a particularly long campaign and he was picking up electrolyte water-adage packets from a drug store because ahsoka was incredibly dehydrated from days of fighting under a merciless sun. He saw them in the store, and he realized Valentines day was coming up, and he just impulse bought it mostly for the plushie but also because he couldn’t remember the last time he saw ahsoka smile.
They didn’t have valentines day on tatooine. He and padmé rarely celebrate more than a clip-art cartoon mutually sent through an encrypted message portal. Anakin had only been home-with padmé- for valentines day once.
They certainly didn’t have valentines day a the temple. It was the definition of indulgent spending on a loved one. Any argument he could make about how relationships and attachment can be separate and that there is an amount implied to be permissible by the order falls outside of valentines day celebrations. Hence, he and obi wan didn’t ever do anything fun like he found out some schoolroom classes do on the holiday. He didn’t think obi wan acknowledged the holiday until looking back from the inside of a metal black suit and realizing that while he was obiwan’s padawan he never had to do boring drills. Instead obi wan took him to Dex’s after a hard day of “mediating walks” in the room of a thousand fountains. After anakin became a knight, obi-wan would always make him a cup of tea to banish the chill of the temple on the winter day. While reflecting, anakin realized he couldn’t quite recall the taste.
Kanan and hera: now. They deny to everyone who asks that they celebrate. They are fighting a rebellion. Its important. They don't have time for frivolous things such as-
Oh never mind he managed to find her a meiloorun despite the galactic shortage.
She glares at him in the way that hera glares when shes mad but not really. She takes it, gently, like its worth its weight in gold (its probably worth more), and pretends she doesn’t recall all the times kanan said he wasn’t hungry or still had plenty of toothpaste left so he could afford it.
Kanan was a jedi. He told her he didn’t need gifts or fancy food, but some quiet time (and then when they adopted the kids-yes zeb is a kid- some time alone) would be nice. He just wanted her. He always did, he told her. he just didn’t have many opportunities to say it.
She flew him to the best sunsets and to the shiniest stars, trying to make him laugh with increasingly frightening flying maneuvers, while he worried about the fruit bruising in the back of the ghost.
Hera, with all her talent and wit, did not notice that even with the most famed sunrises reflecting in her eyes, kanan’s were only on her.
The ghost KIDS however: Oh. oh they are menaces on valentines day. 1) they tease kanan and hera. Relentlessly. 2) chopper steals everyone’s candy. No he cannot eat it. Yes he gives it back to them. He used to just hide them for a few hours to be Chopper ™. Then he would give them to AP-5 to catalog. He had been getting bored of weapons of all the same shade of gray. His old friend was happy to see some new colors.
3) sabine doesn’t make people valentines, but she does help kanan make a card for hera. Ezra insisted on getting kanan and hera a card, and made zeb sign in. Sabine stole the card and drew ezra climbing on zebs shoulders while chopper was trying to shock him. “Thanks for putting up with them so i don’t have to” is what she captioned it, and it was the closest she would get to making something mushy.
4) kanan gets sabine a flower every year. He leaves it in her room when shes not there. Everyone knows not to mention it and sabine pretiends it doesn’t exist, but even ezra notices that she gets a little blue when it finally dies.
5) zeb is the most awkward because. What. is this. He thinks candy hearts are blasphemous and chocolates are dumb but then chopper chucks a box of those honeycomb snacks that he likes at his head and he finds it a little harder to grumble than he did years before.
6) ezra’s mom used to make him a goodie bag of chocolates and candy every year. He pretended not to miss it; he had other things on his mind.
No one on the ship could afford chocolate, but hera gave ezra a long long hug and he found that he didn’t feel as sad anymore.

Thank you so much for your lovely reply. I did a squee reading it would love to hear your plans and thoughts for the Uncomfortable-verse. Especially what changes this butterfly would make or what happens on the Agen-Tan-Padme guardian road-trip!
aaaaaaaah i'm vibrating i'm so glad you sent this ask! okay this is probably gonna be less coherent than my ao3 replies bc i have had. So Much Caffeine alsdjkflskdfjsd
under the cut because it got Long
(with a few minor clarifying edits now that I'm awake)
okay so like first of all the most important changes for me are what happens with anakin and shmi? i'm kind of thinking of sandwiching imi-verse in here where anakin's half-tusken and has a twin sister who was raised by their dad. also his sister and dad rescued his mom from the tusken marauders who grabbed her from the lars homestead and his dad was among the tuskens he killed after getting his mom down from the frame that was keeping her from dying.
so like shmi gets rescued and also gets away from cliegg (buying someone to free and marry them? hmmmm sounds sus to me) and reunited with her long lost daughter.
at the temple, anakin's conduct is reviewed and palpatine's all "clearly they hate you" but then the jedi find out anakin's been ducking his therapy appointments for years and hacking the system and mind-suggesting his therapist to keep obi-wan and the council from finding out. BIG HEKKIN RED FLAG. they keep Anakin at the temple for mandatory emergency therapy and send Obi-Wan and Aayla to Kamino while Quinlan keeps an eye on Anakin.
swapping padawans is just something that happens with jedi? like it's easier when obi-wan has someone to fuss over and knows someone he absolutely trusts is watching anakin. also just like??? accountability type things. you're not spending all your time with one master who might be Up To Bad Shit (qui gon) but you still have routine.
ANYWAYS obi gets a bad feeling in orbit above kamino and talks to aayla like "hey maybe you can do some of that spy stuff your master does" and then he goes in like he do like "oh that order of millions of identical human men". aayla runs into a very helpful clone trooper the same developmental age as her who doesn't know she's a jedi knight just that she works for them and has the fake identity credentials to back it up. it's bly, she runs into bly, who takes her on a paralell tour to the one the kaminoans are taking obi-wan on and she does her spy shit and scans the clone fetuses and finds!!! the chips! dun dun dun! but she can't find a lot except for that they exist and they're in a Not Good part of the brain.
obi-wan meets jango and shit goes down like normal except after he puts a tracking device on slave i aayla and bly come running out onto the platform like "uhhhh we have a Hekkin Problem" while obi's all like "no shit we do". obi goes to geonosis while aayla stays to figure out the chips and get things ready for yoda.
meanwhile! you asked about tan and agen and padme! they're doing just fine. there is no creepy looks or sly conversation about compassion and love or bad flirting about sand. padme and tan get along really super well and padme passes the time teaching him about makeup and hair and nubian fashion. sometimes she has jedi culture/philosophy questions and agen answers those a) not in a crowded food court when they're supposed to be undercover and b) like a teacher not like someone trying to impress and seduce her. when they get to naboo, agen isn't controlling about her security either. he defers to her and the systems she and the queen already have set up just like he did when establishing their undercover stories. he's there to help, not to take over.
they go to the lake country, they go on a picnic, agen teaches tan how to assess and repair shield generators and stuff, padme becomes agen's little sister and tan's big sister for pretty much real. they don't go to tatooine or to geonosis. a squad of clones DOES come to naboo to help agen and tan and they eventually name themselves Padma Squad after the same flower padme is named after.
obi wan sends his message to aayla to relay his distress call to the council since she's still his mission partner. bc padme would absolutely want to still be on geonosis if she knew it was happening even if anakin wasn't there and they weren't on tatooine. aayla sends the call to coruscant and yoda tells her he'll meet her on kamino to pick up the order of millions of identical human men just in case and would she please get them ready to go?
quinlan gets anakin's butt in gear to go save obi-wan and it's four jedi against dooku instead of one. anakin still kills dooku, but right then and after he's surrendered. this is important. all the other three jedi go "hey dude WHAT THE FUCK" and Anakin doesn't take that well and attacks them. this is the fight in which anakin loses his arm. it's quin who does it because anakin was about to use that arm to kill or seriously injure obi-wan. anakin is taken into custody, given medical care, and imprisoned in the temple's special cells.
palpatine bullies his way in to see him and he's all "i told you they would turn against you, they've always been jealous of and feared your power, i can free you and help you get revenge" and anakin is a sucker so he agrees. the grand inquisitor is still a temple guard and breaks anakin out and anakin goes on a jedi killing spree. palpatine keeps order 66 in his back pocket because he still wants to whittle down the order by the war and he still needs the everything else in place to take over the galaxy. this is important.
anakin is killed in the creche and the entire area has to be cleansed before the babies will stop crying. obi-wan leaves the order in his grief. padme offers him a quiet place to retire on naboo since he saved them from a sith ten years ago. she grieves the little boy she met on tatooine and what he could've become. she's the one who tracks down shmi to let her know. shmi grieves her son and clings to her daughter and partner.
the jedi and the clones go to war.
sidious gets a new apprentice, who i couldn't say yet. maybe he pulls komari vosa out of the ether? the 212th and 501st go under different jedi idk which ones yet. could be agen and quin, but also they're in the positions they are in canon (council investigator and undercover shadow, respectively) for good reasons, so most likely not. the 212th and 501st still get well known because cody and rex are exceptionally good at what they do. ahsoka is taken as quin's second padawan - aayla's little padawan-sister - and they most likely stay shadows but liaise often enough with the 501st that she still becomes their vod'ika. the clones grow as individuals and as a culture. when grievous is captured on naboo, he stays captured until palpatine finagles a daring escape with lots of collateral damage.
echo is blown up and captured at the citadel. umbara happens because the 501st is at the center of the action and krell is good at mindtricks and desperate to impress the sith. ahsoka and barriss aren't targeted for saboteur and framee because ahsoka isn't supporting the apprentice sidious wants. fives finds out about the chips. fives' general believes him about the chancellor and stops fox' blaster bolt in the air long enough for rex to stun fives (he's acting hella dangerous to himself and others) so they can smuggle him to kix.
palpatine finds out and triggers order 66 early.
there are more jedi. they were prepared after aayla and bly's discovery. didn't want to do risky brain surgery to get the chips out, couldn't find out what they were for, but knew it couldn't be anything good and they had to be prepared for the worst. almost all of them escape. clones aren't able to get inside the temple and clones already inside are quickly and non-lethally subdued. ahsoka is with rex and gets the chip out of his head in the middle of all the chaos. through usual fix-it shenanigans, something happens to rescind order 66 and something else happens to kill palpatine.
giddean danu becomes chancellor because i've always liked his design and i want a named, canon option that isn't bail, mon, or padme and feels like an actual good candidate vibes-wise. yarua also works, can you imagine being a separatist leader trying to fuck with a wookiee in negotiations? actually yeah that's funnier, danu can be vice-chancellor. mon runs but doesn't win, bail likes being a senator and doesn't want to be a chancellor, padme retires because canonically nubian senators are expected to have their people as their only family and - also canonically - she really wants a spouse and kids. also she fell for one of the coruscant guard (commander? hound? oc? who knows? but probably thorn, stone, or both (hmmmm jarjar/julia/stone and thorn/padme double dates there's a thought)) and doesn't want to ask them out as anything other than a fellow citizen.
echo is rescued by the bad batch and he and fives join them for a few last missions and then post-war shenanigans. after the war is officially over and the gar is officially disbanded and the clones are all officially citizens with military pensions and backpay, cody and rex join them. at some point, they run into boba who went back to kamino for some of jango's things and found an unaltered little sister and stole her. hunter immediately adopts them both.
and that is a lot more than i thought had for this au! ^_^ thank you for asking!!!! some of it was surprising to me, actually, esp the part about anakin still falling, but it feels True and Right and i'm definitely planning to keep it.
thank you again!! and thank you for the nice reviews you keep leaving me they're always a high point in my day ^_^

Su'cuy! I really appreciate how thorough and well thought-out your theories and opinions about Star Wars are, I know that you are pro-Jedi, so I'd love to hear your thoughts on this. I love the Jedi both individually and as a whole, but I've always thought that the Jedi Council's approach to certain issues throughout the Prequels seemed a bit... questionable. Here are some examples of what I mean:
1. The way they handled Anakin joining the Order seems harsh to me. I've always thought that if Anakin had been able to keep in contact with Shmi through the beginning of his padawanship, he could've slowly grown apart from her, (rather than being somewhat unceremoniously torn away from her) and that would have helped enormously with his 'attachment' issues. I get that the Jedi only operate within the Republic's jurisdiction, so they couldn't have gone to Tatooine and overthrown the Hutts and free all the slaves like Ani wanted them to, but if everything Qui-Gon did was legal, then there's no way they couldn't at the very least send a Jedi to check up on Shmi. So why didn't they?
2. Obi-Wan clearly knew beforehand about Anakin's feelings for Padme and his issues with following the Jedi Code, so why on earth did anyone think it was a good idea to send him alone with Padme to a resort??
3. (Oh look another one dealing with Anakin's Issues) Pretending for a moment that killing a Jedi really was the best way to handle the events of the Deception arc, why Obi-Wan? Just... why?? He's not trained for undercover missions, he's a councilmember and a High General so he has a lot of responsibilities, many of which can't just be handed off to other people, and his padawan is Anakin "I'm Mentally Unstable and Everyone Knows It" Skywalker. There's no way in all nine Corellian hells that Obi-Wan was the best candidate for the job.
I'll stop here, because otherwise this ask will probably just turn into a rant
I will re-iterate the fact that I love the Jedi Order, and if there's important information I'm missing here, or perspectives I haven't considered, than I would love to know what they are because I don't like how poorly these instances reflect on Jedi like Yoda and Mace and Plo. TYSM for taking the time to read this ridiculously long ask, and please know that if you reply it will blow my mind because I may or may not look up to you as a learned Star Wars scholar that I am lucky to share in a fandom with
Ret'urcye mhi,
Ashara
Hi! Thank you for the very kind comments and, oh, you flatter me far too much, I am but a single nerd on the internet who enjoys flailing about Star Wars, hardly a scholar or anything. 😂 But you are still very nice to say so and I hope that I can live up to the good faith you've extended! Ultimately, a lot of this stuff comes down to differences in interpretation, so when I talk confidently about my views, of course I do think I’m right (😂), but if you disagree, eh, that’s no bother to me, because you’ve been nothing but sweet about it and that’s fine.  (And I say this both as a way to set the tone, but also as a way to clarify that, just because I talk in firm statements, that doesn’t mean I think there’s no room for anyone else’s views or just simply to disagree with me and that’s valid.  As long as we treat each other kindly, we’re good!) With the Jedi Council’s treatment of Anakin, I think it’s important to establish what “attachment” is first, because it’s not “caring about others”, it’s specifically more in alignment with Buddhism (as Buddhism is the heaviest influence in the Jedi’s philosophy), it’s about not clinging and grasping onto someone so hard that your fear of losing them outweighs your ability to be reasonable.  It’s about not loving them for your sake, regardless of what’s best for them or what would make them happy, because you can’t live without them.  It’s about not burning down the galaxy because you’re afraid to live without them. In Star Wars Archives 1999-2005, George Lucas says:  “[Jedi Knights] do not grow attachments, because attachment is a path to the dark side. You can love people, but you can’t want to possess them. They’re not yours. Accept that they have a fate. Even those you love most are going to die. You can’t do anything about that. Protect them with your lightsaber, but if they die they were going to die, there’s nothing you can do. All you can do is accept that fact.” That’s what attachment is within Star Wars, it’s a path to the dark side, that’s just how the worldbuilding within the narrative works.  Whatever we think of that on a writing level, within the narrative itself, attachment actually is a thing to be overcome. And it’s the very heart of Anakin Skywalker’s story, that attachment led to his fall, so when I talk about how the Jedi are trying to nudge him away from that path, it’s an important motivation because it’s absolutely what led to Anakin’s fall and they were working to prevent the source of it.  Like, he doesn’t become Darth Vader because he was separated from his mom, he becomes Darth Vader because he can’t let go of things, that distinction is the center of his story.  And if GL had meant differently, that guy is not subtle, he would have said so.  Instead, he says: “He turns into Darth Vader because he gets attached to things. He can’t let go of his mother; he can’t let go of his girlfriend. He can’t let go of things. It makes you greedy. And when you are greedy, you are on the path to the Dark Side, because you fear you’re going to lose things, that you’re not going to have the power you need.” - George Lucas, Time Magazine, 2002 Which you are probably aware of and I don’t mean to come across as lecturing, but I chose to go over it again for a reason, in that it’s important to remember that the Jedi aren’t just saying, “No contact with your bio-family!  That’s attachment!”, but instead that the worldbuilding that comes with what “attachment” means in Star Wars is illustrating what the Jedi’s goal is--work towards being able to let go when it’s time.  Protect people, love them, but accept that you can’t stop death from happening. 1.  So, with that in mind, what evidence do we have that Anakin wasn’t allowed to contact Shmi?  Yes, Tatooine Ghost (which was written in 2003, before Revenge of the Sith even existed) said so, but it’s very tricky to rely on Legends material because GL has repeatedly expressed that the books weren’t part of his worldbuilding, that he wasn’t involved with them, that they should just go do whatever as long as it was an interesting story.  (And, like, it’s fair to also dismiss current Lucasfilm canon materials, because they’re not from the primary source, either.  Everyone draws their own sandbox lines!)  What, within the movies or TV, said Anakin wasn’t allowed to contact his mother? I’m not making any definitive statements either way, I think it might be reasonable to speculate that the Jedi felt Anakin was relying too heavily on his attachments (as GL has been very clear that this is a major issue for Anakin all his life), that he wasn’t working towards letting go in a healthy way, so they may have tried to put some distance there to make it easier for him, which I think was the point the Jedi were making in Dooku: Jedi Lost when Dooku did the same with his sister.  I think it may be reasonable to point to Heir of the Jedi  showed a Jedi Knight that was in contact with his family and there were no issues there.  I think it’s fair to point out that the Jedi weren’t exactly stopping anyone from keeping connections to their birth worlds (the various cultural clothing Jedi wore, the statues they prayed to, etc.), so I don’t see why they would forbid Anakin from keeping contact with her or, as Skywalker: A Family At War pointed out, he could still feel her in the galaxy, so he knew she was okay, and yet he was still leaning into that attachment to her.  I think it’s fair to point out that the Jedi were fine with letting people leave, spoke warmly of them afterwards, even would accept them back if they wanted (Obi-Wan & Anakin, s7 of TCW where Yoda asked if Ahsoka was coming back yet), which doesn’t seem to jive with the idea that they felt you had to only ever be in contact with Jedi.  None of that seems in line with the idea that they wanted to cut Jedi off and would punish anyone for contacting someone outside the Jedi Order, unless there was a very specific reason for it. Ultimately, we don’t have enough about that time period from the movies or TCW to say for sure what happened or didn’t happen, whether he had contact with her or not, or the reasons and specific context behind it. 2.  Obi-Wan totally did object to sending Anakin alone with Padme, though!  😂  He said Anakin wasn’t ready for it, that his emotions around Padme made him confused and he wasn’t going to be able to protect her, but Mace very kindly and warmly said, “Obi-Wan, you must have faith that he will choose the right path.” And Mace is absolutely right.  I mean, yes, Obi-Wan was probably right to be concerned, but the bigger point is:  Anakin was 19 years old, he was an adult, he’d been a Jedi for 10 years at this point.  You have to eventually trust people to make their own decisions, to walk the right path on their own, and Anakin had the training and wisdom (or should have) to make that choice for himself. Sending him on a mission to escort Padme, even knowing that it would be a temptation for him, was one they had to let Anakin decide for himself how to navigate it.  If he was tempted into breaking his vows at this point, then no amount of holding him back or hand-holding him was going to make a difference. 3.  The real answer is the most unsatisfying one:  Because Obi-Wan Kenobi is a major character and therefore he was the most fun to write on that arc and to give the show drama.  I fully believe that the primary driving force behind choosing Obi-Wan for it wasn’t based on in-universe worldbuilding, but “Who would provide the most interesting, fun story to tell?” and they wanted to use it as a way to show Anakin’s growing distrust with the Jedi Order. But if we’re going to look at it from the Watsonian perspective rather than the Doylist one, I assume it’s because Obi-Wan was really good at his job, like, that guy was really good at everything he needed to be doing on that job.  And the Jedi Council were apparently on the side of telling Anakin ahead of time, it was Obi-Wan who said not to tell him, and I think it fits very well with what Obi-Wan and the Jedi have been trying to teach Anakin--that sometimes shit happens and you have to be able to face it and make peace with it.  They have to have faith that he’s going to choose the right path. Like, a driving reason (via word of god commentary) that Yoda assigned Ahsoka to Anakin as a Padawan (other than that they were a good match) is because eventually he would have to let her go, he would have to let her be Knighted and no longer interacting with her in the same way.  The Jedi were trying to provide paths for Anakin to face his attachment issues, and while I don’t think the “Deception” instance was very nice (and I do think it was a mistake and Obi-Wan was wrong to not tell Anakin, but also not totally wrong because Anakin absolutely was shit at keeping secrets and the Chancellor’s life was on the line in this mission, as far as the Jedi knew), it was meant in the vein of, “Someday, you’re going to lose people, Anakin, you have to accept that that’s going to happen.” and it’s not that I think Obi-Wan planned it as a test, but that he chose to listen to Mace’s wisdom and have faith that Anakin would choose the right path. As I see it, in the big picture of “What happened to Anakin Skywalker?  Why did he become Darth Vader?” the answer GL gave was: “When you start to care about yourself and the things that you own and the things that you have and you’re greedy and you want things all the time and you don’t want to give them up because you’re afraid to give them up, you turn to the dark side.  And that’s what happened to Anakin.” --George Lucas Q&A: Field Museum, Chicago 5/8/2010 Anakin’s fall was about his attachment to people, that’s entirely what was happening in ROTS, where his turn towards Palpatine was a justification for wanting to hold onto Padme, where the big confrontation with Obi-Wan starts because Anakin didn’t care about what she wanted or her horror at what he was doing or her choice to back away from him, he literally choked her in anger and screamed at Obi-Wan:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“YOU WILL NOT TAKE HER FROM ME!” Anakin doesn’t want to protect her, he wants to keep her, wants her to not be taken from him, like she’s something to be possessed, not because she made her own choices or because anyone else was actually trying to do so, but because he himself and his fears already did that. And that’s exactly what GL has always said was Anakin’s problem. His attachment to her, his inability to accept that she might have a fate that he couldn’t control, drove him to this.  He absolutely should have tried to protect her, to love her, to fight to help her, that’s what the Jedi do--like, that’s the whole reason they became soldiers in the war, because they were fighting to help people! But you have to accept that sometimes things are beyond your control and all you can do is work to accept that, that’s how the Force and the worldbuilding and narrative of Star Wars works.  And that’s what the Jedi were trying to help Anakin with, to prevent his attachment tendencies from getting out of control--but, at a certain point, they had given him the training and they had to trust him to make the right choices, whether that was as a Jedi or on a different path. (And I’ve always liked the quote from the A New Hope anthology, “Master & Apprentice”, where Obi-Wan says:  “Anakin became a Jedi Knight.  He served valiantly in the Clone Wars.  His fall to darkness was more his choice than anyone else’s failure.  Yes, I bear some responsibility–and perhaps you do, too–but Anakin had the training and wisdom to choose a better path.  He did not.”)

I think you saw me block the person who said this but that time someone told me that Anakin's murder of the Tusken children didn't count as child murder because They Aren't Human (followed by the person arguing that the 7-10yo Tusken kids were culpable for not stopping what their elders were doing to Shmi and thus deserved to die)
send me a bad fandom take and i'll rate it
Oooof full 10/10 rancid take, thanks for playing.
I don't think that whole Situation was... the best call, writing-wise, because like... you know how storm troopers in the original trilogy always have covered faces so you don't feel bad when they die, or how the main "bad guy" soldiers are all robots in the prequels so you don't feel bad when THEY die? But if you think about it more than the movie wants you to, you realize the storm troopers are human and the droids have their own personalities, and then the fun star war gets a little less fun? The Tusken massacre was clearly (narratively) meant to be "oh, we want you to see Anakin do a really fucked up thing so you can see there's darkness in him, but oh man this is a kid's movie and we still have one more film to go so it can't be TOO fucked up for the audience gets freaked out, uuuuh yeah we can just have him murder these guys we've portrayed as violent and faceless :)" Except this is one of those things where if you spend more than like 0.01 seconds thinking about it then no, that's still really really fucked up! They are a sapient, native people to Tatooine, and they have families and friends and their own culture! We CLEARLY saw a little kid! They're only "not human" in the sense of "a different species," not in the sense of "not people." And honestly I think any take arguing a person deserves to die is rancid. but maybe that's just me. /SHRUG
That being said, I don't think it'd be weird for a casual viewer to just watch that scene and come away with what you're supposed to think: Shmi dying is tragic and pushed Anakin into extreme and morally questionable actions, but we're not supposed to be TOO freaked out or uncomfortable with his character for the rest of the movie or in the sequel. HOWEVER, if you think about it long enough to start doling out culpability for the situation, then you've clearly passed that 0.01 second thought process.
Also, what? A kid has a responsibility to object to mistreatment of a prisoner the adults in their group took and to actively help her, but a full grown adult with training in emotional regulation* doesn't have a responsibility to not snap and murder a whole village? Excuse me??
*clearly it didn't work very well

Grumpy
Boba fett x fem reader
Summary: boba is a grumpy man but we love him... Also for a real summary: the reader is annoying, always talking and being a goofy person. And boba only tolerates it because he loves her.
Warnings: slight language I think? Slight jealous boba, he's also a bit insecure in this one. Fluff, FLUFF.
Pic credit to @xxrosaaa29xx I'm using your pic for scientific research purposes 👀
Also dala means "woman" in mando'a incase whoever reads this didn't know and found themselves in confusion like I do most times....
I know I also said I'd write for din more but, c'mon! My bestest friend ever here inspired me to write this!
Thank you my amazingly beautiful friend @friendscall-me-mom this was spurred on because you 👀

Tumblr media
Boba was a busy man, he couldn't seem to hold still for more then two minutes. He always had something keeping him busy or somewhere to be, but that's the way he liked it. So ever since boba claimed the throne that once belonged to jabba the hut and later jabba's companion Bib Fortuna, boba found himself almost never leaving the palace, it was relaxing yes, a nice relaxing thing actually, but also a little too... Uneventful for his liking. So after leaving Fennec in charge over the palace, someone he knew he could trust, he brought you along with him to venture away from tatooine to accompany him on his first bounty hunt in almost six years.
When he had gruffly asked you to join him, it left you baffled. You thought he'd enjoy a nice time away from you considering he always spoke of how annoying you are, he always ignores you are tries putting a distance between the two of you. In your eye's he hated you, his actions displaying such. But in all honesty? Boba fett found himself attracted to you, his brown eyes always glued to you when you walked into the room, gaze unable to leave your figure for a second. His heart always doing the annoying flip it does whenever he hears your laugh or catches a glimpse of that beautiful smile adorning your face.
He pushed you away because he didn't know how to love you like you deserved, you was always so... Happy, bubbly personality and jokes putting a smile on everyone's face. He was afraid that if he let you love him, his usual grumpy and hardened personality would dent your chirpy one. So... He pushed you away.
But you didn't ever see the adoring looks he gave you, or the faint tug of his lips when you told a joke. All of those things went unnoticed by you, partly because the helmet he wore and the fact he always hid his emotions well. Something you found infuriating. But despite that, and his constant grumpy behavior towards you, you found yourself intrigued by the man, you couldn’t deny he was a handsome man. Dark eye's that seemed to sparkle whenever the light hit them just right. And although his words was always short, sometimes even harsh on the more stressful days for him, you found yourself hanging on to every word he spoke, his voice intoxicating, beautiful. You scolded yourself many times for falling in love with boba fett, but then again how could you not have? When he showed you rare moments of kindness - especially when you had both met on tython, you having permission from your friend din to stay with boba. Because din saw how you looked at boba, he knew you was in love with him.
But damn was boba oblivious, or either he knew you was smitten with him and just hid it well. Whatever the case, you was slightly hurt by the fact he always found a way to either distance himself from you are push you away.
Slave I was quite, boba sitting in the co-pilot seat while you let your mind roam freely to dwelling thoughts. But you let out a little laugh, the sound drawing boba's attention as he tilts his helmet in your direction.
"what's funny dala?" he asked, speaking mando'a, a nickname you've learnt well. He often enjoyed using it in a mocking manner though, it usually rolled off his tongue whenever he was annoyed or like said, mocking someone, aka, you.
You shrug, a grin on your lips. The reason you was amused though, was today's previous events played on your mind. You and boba had both stopped by a cantina on Batuu, only stopping their for fual and a bite to eat. Because you wouldn't shut up until boba finally gave in and took you somewhere to eat. And as you was both enjoying a meal, boba choosing a nice empty booth in the dark corner as he took his helmet off. A man had been flirting with you, it was harmless really, a few compliments on your beauty and a few hints of how the man genuinely wanted to get to know you better. Although he seemed nice you didn't really want to speak with him, so let him down easy.
But boba was, for some odd reason to you, pissed off with the man's constant talking. He didn't like how his eyes roamed your body, didn't like how you indulged him, and he really didn't like how he talked to you, using those flirty little comments and jokes, coaxing a laugh or two from you. Boba hated it, he was fuming. So without hesitation, boba threatened the poor man's life with a cold hard stare causing the man to flee the whole planet with fright.
Although you was slightly mad at boba in the moment, you found it hilarious now. Letting out another laugh you try and cover your mouth, stifling the laugh. "what is it?" he seemed genuinely curious but his words came out bitter.
"you scared that poor man to death boba... He literally left Batuu because of one simple glare and a few threats!" you laughed, grabbing your side because of how hard you was laughing now. "di - did you see his face!" you wheeze out through laughter, "he almost pissed his pants!" you shake your head and your laughter dies down.
Boba, unknowingly to you, had a smile on his face, Almost prideful. He focuses his attention on you now, loving the sight of your wide smile now. He had thought he angered you with how he scared the man off, he thought you was actually attracted to the other man. But seeing you laughing about the situation put him at ease, you wasn't mad at him.
"I thought he was bothering you, he was surely bothering me with his jabbering" boba tried to brush the topic off. He felt slightly annoyed he was jealous over the fact the man had made you smile and laugh. And the man was younger, his face not as scarred or aged as boba's. He didn't want to admit it, but he felt a little insecure when around you, why would you want him when the galaxy had so much more out there for you?
"oh he wasn't jabbering, he was being nice... But you scared him enough to flee the planet" you giggle, amused by the situation.
He only grunts in response, one of many signs he was in a grumby mood. You flicker your eyes down at his side, the side his beskar failed to cover.... Grinning you reach over and poke him.
"stop being grumpy" you muttered playfully, his visor snapping in your direction before falling down to look at where you kept your hand, ready to puke him again.
"I'm not grumpy princess" he harshly grunts out while taking your hand in his and throwing your hand back into your lap. "don't touch me..." he muttered. He may have came off as angry, but under the helmet he was flustered, your touch sending a delightful warmth spreading all over him, turning his face red.
Your smile filters for a moment, thinking you may have infuriated him. The sight makes him guilty until he sees you grin again. "you have to be ticklish, everyone is. I'm now making it my goal to find you're ticklish spot!" you declare cheerfully. Boba shaking his head.
"I'm not ticklish. let me be dala" he spoke while putting the ship on autopilot as he went into hyperspace. Standing up he leaves the cockpit, you following him. He walks into the cargo area, plopping down on a crate as he takes his helmet off, usual stoic expression on his face as he cleans his helmet off. A act he does out of boredom you've grown to discover.
"not ticklish eh? So you won't mind..." you sit beside him making him go stiff visibly, his hand freezing as he wiped the visor off. "this!" you slither your hand on the spot between his neck and shoulder and start tickling, but he does even smile, much to your dismay.
"please stop" he deadpanned. And you do so with a huff. "I'm not ticklish so stop" he continued wiping his helmet off.
You sigh deeply and cross your arms. "I've never seen you smile nor laugh, If I can't find you're ticklish spot then I'll tell you joke's!" you state, his face slowly morphs into one of annoyance.
"please don't... I left tatooine for two reasons: peace and to be able stretch my legs for a bit" he said while looking up at you, his dark eye's capturing you for a bit.
"then why did you invite me to join you? You know I annoy you with my presence" you say, arms crossed.
He invited you because he knew how men eyed you on tatooine with hunger, with a undeniable look of lust. He hated it, wanted to rip all their eyes out for doing so. He knew that if he left any man could waltz up to you and flirt their way into your heart. So he brought you with him because he'd be damned if he left you on tatooine, he never wanted to leave your side.
"because I knew that if I didn't you wouldn't shut up, I've heard how you wanted to leave the place for a little vacation as you put it and I had already planned on hunting so... I invited you" he muttered, blowing on the visor to ensure its clean before sitting it aside, now cleaning his blaster. It wasn't a lie, he heard you telling Fennec how you wished to escape the sands and scorching hot heat for at least a little bit.
Your heart swells at his words, to anyone it was nothing. to you... It was his way of showing affection. He knew you wanted a vacation so he took you with him, if you didn't know any better you'd say he even planned this hunt because that. But that was wishful thinking.
"did I ever I tell you the story of how Mando got zapped by those jawa's?" you snicker, knowing that would at least make him smile. But he nods, confirming you have.
"more then once mesh'la" he didn't mean to let that one simple word slip from his mouth, but it did, and from the beaming smile and small blush on your cheeks, he knew you knew what it meant.
"oh you think I'm beautiful now?" you tease, seeing the way he tensed up whenever the word rolled off his tongue, you knew that you turning it into playful banter would ease away whatever it was that made him tense like that.
"shut up girl" he grumbled while standing up, you doing so making him huff. "don't follow me around like a damn lost child!" he snaps, taking you aback slightly. But you shrug his words off, although they did hit pretty hard.
He saw that and grumbled something before continuing whatever it was he was doing. "what if I don't wanna stop!" you say with a giggle, following him to the poor excuse for a bed he used.
"then I guess I'm gonna have to face the fact you're goal and life purpose is to annoy me" he said, sitting on the bed, slowly stripping the beskar off piece by piece. You could only watch as his soft shirt he wore under it exposed the softness of him, his tummy practically begging for you to reach out and tickle it -
You grin at the thought his tummy would be ticklish, it was a mischievous glint in your eye that alarmed him. "oh no" he muttered as you grin at him and flop down beside him on his bed.
"admit it boba, you enjoy my company" you sigh with a big smile, his scoff only making you giggle. He opens his mouth to respond but whatever he wanted to say was forgotten the moment you tickle his belly, soft and adorable like you always thought it would be.
His eye's widen as he finds himself laughing, a smile on his face. He falls backwards on the bed as you crawl on top of him, straddling him as you continue tickling his belly as your heart flutters at the sight of his smile and sound of his gruff laughter.
"you do have a ticklish spot!" you laugh, his large hands resting on your hips as he flips you over, now he was hovering over you.
"you are relentless" he mused, his smile now gone and replaced back with his grumpy expression. "don't ever do that again mesh'la" he grumbled. But he couldn't deny how being so Close to you makes his desire to kiss you grow strong. Once he catches
"oh Stop being grumpy, it’s lame." you tease him, cheeky smile. He shakes his with a huff.
"You're an idiot" he retorts while rolling off of you, much to your dismay. He sits up and back in the position he was once in. You sit up beside him.
"but you love me" you said it before you could register what exactly fell off your tongue. Boba seemed to freeze beside you, making fear settle deep within your very core. "I - I didn't mean - like -
Your stuttering was shushed by the smile boba gave you, it was soft, didn't quite reach his eye's but it was still genuine. "unfortunately dala I do..." he didn't look you in the eye, instead, his cheeks starting to turn a little pink as he fiddle with a piece of his armor he picked up off the floor, he didn't want to see you possibly reject him, he didn't want to see your face when you laugh at him for confessing such a thing.
But maker was he surprised when you scooted closer and gently cup his cheek making him look at you, the genuine soft smile on your face different from the cheeky ones or mischievous ones you'd always offer the bounty hunter.
"do you mean it?" you ask him, voice barely above a whisper as your eyes search his dark brown ones for the answer, and you saw it, swimming amongst the endless brown hues of his eyes. A truthful, raw emotion besides being angry he showed you, displaying it before your very eyes. Love, adoration, truth....
"I have loved you since the moment I saw you, although I'll have to admit I thought you and you're mandalorian friend was already a couple. That's why I hesitated to talk to you so much" boba confessed, a smile beaming on your face as your eyes glow with joy. Your thumb subconsciously stroking one of many scars on his face.
"likewise, I've never seen someone quite as handsome as you before, nor as intriguing" his snort of amusement made you give him a confused look, wondering what he found funny.
"oh so you find me intriguing?" he smugly replied causing you to roll your eye's. Your free hand that wasn't holding his face, fell to his soft tummy. He tenses up and gives you a warning look. "don't" he muttered.
But you only grin at him, "why not? If you want to laugh at me I'll give you something to laugh at" you slip a hand up his shirt, his warm skin soft. Your touch had his heart doing a flip, if not for the fact he knew you planned on tickling him, he'd find this soothing.
"I wasn't laughing, just simply asking a question"
"after you let out a little laugh" you point out, he shakes his head ready to protest, but you had already begun your assault, tickling his belly. Practically in his lap again as he fell back.
You both knew that if he really wanted, he could stop you easily. But hearing his thunderous laugh echo across the ship and seeing his beautiful smile? It made you beam with happiness, a sight boba couldn't get enough of.
Needless to say, after the hunt you and boba has shared a kiss, slept in his arms every night as he claimed you as his. When you both arrived back on tatooine and into the palace you called home, Fennec had seen how boba had became extra protective over you, seeing how he couldn't seem to leave your side. She knew the hunt brought you both together, it was a relief, now she didn't have to see you both dance around your feelings for each other.

Hello dearest Gala 💛 it has been such a pleasure getting to read Veman’alor and I would love to hear your bonus feature director commentary about Boba and Alor’ika’s conversation about certain Mando’a terms at the end of Chapter 14.
Send me an ask to hear some director's commentary on any of my fics
First of all, I am so sorry it took me literal weeks to get to this, I've been a little overwhelmed. But now, let's dive into their relationship and my thoughts on it.

The relevant excerpt:
“What does… there is this word you keep using. Well, not really a word. A root, I would assume. It’s in so many words you say and I never know what it means.” “What do you mean?” he squints. “When we first met, you called yourself… veman’alor. And then when Din came, you called him the Mand’alor. And last night, you called me alor’ika. Is that… are those words related? What do they mean? I can’t stop thinking about it. I have never heard any of these before, they’re not words that Intayc ever mentioned to me.” Boba is quiet for a while, his hands restlessly ghosting over your back while he stares into empty space. “You are right, cyare,” he finally says. “Alor is the common root. It means… something like ‘leader’. Djarin… he is the Mand’alorby right of victory. He won the darksabre in combat and so he is the leader of Manda’yaim, the planet you would call Mandalore. I am… I would be the rightful ruler by birth. Veman means- something like true, or real. Heritage does not matter as much in Mandalorian culture as it does in some monarchies. We have a saying… Gar taldin nayc jaon’yc; gar sa buir, ori'waadas'la.Skill in combat is most important in our culture, more important than bloodline. I could challenge Djarin for the throne of Mandalore, but I do not want it… for now. But of this planet right here, of Tatooine, I am the rightful ruler. I bested the old ruler in combat, even if he did not put up much of a fight. So that is my title. And you- should you accept your role as my… my riduur, you would become alo’riduur, the king’s wife. Until then, you are my alor’ika, my princess… ‘little leader’ is what it means literally. Does that answer your question?” “Oh.” You inhale this flood of information. Your heart stumbles when he says until then like it is a set thing, like it is inevitable that you shall be married. You want to ask him about it, but your cowardly heart won’t let you. “Thank you for explaining. That… that was more than I had hoped you would tell me.”
My (admittedly very ramble-y) commentary:
So, I while writing Chapter 14 realised that I had never actually had her ask what veman'alor meant, so she would not know exactly what the word implies. I kept on pushing the explanation back because it never seemed to fit the conversations I was devising. But I knew that I wanted to put some semblance of first 'I love yous' in the next chapter, so it felt important to discuss this before we went there.
Since there already was quite a bit of Mando'a in this chapter, I thought it would be a good point in time to bring this up. Also, to be honest, I just really fucking love that language and will seize any opportunity to talk about it.
I am assuming that most fans, though not all, will have heard/read the term 'Mand'alor' at least, but since the rest (specifically veman'alor and alor'ika, as well as alo'riduur for this chapter) are terms that I myself made up, I thought it would be fun to explain my thought process and the linguistics behind those decisions.
I don't know if it makes sense to have Alor'ika recognise the rootword - I know not everyone thinks about language as much as I do - but I indulged myself and let myself put that in, like a little piece of myself I was giving her.
I am so fascinated by language in general, and by Mando'a specifically because it ties so inherently to Mandalorian culture - like the kov'nyn, or the fact that 'loving' is expressed by kar'taylir darasuum, 'knowing forever', or the fact that we know the Mando'a word for Soldier (verd) and army (akaan'ade), but not the word for 'to ask' which arguably should be more common, but it is not - simply because of the culture. (Also not to go down a rabbit hole here, but akaan'ade itself is a fascinating word because it is a composite of akaan (war) and ade (children), so the Mando'a word for army literally means 'Children of War' which is as disturbing as it is fascinating.)
ANYWAYS as you can tell this scene was pretty much just as excuse for me to ramble about Mando'a and Mandalorian culture. I did think it would fit, especially in the context of Alor'ika wanting to know more about Boba and where it comes from. And I think it signifies that he trusts her - he teaches her about his mothertongue and thus about his culture. She, slowly but surely, is no longer an aruetii because Boba chooses to accept her into his life and to share parts of himself he probably has never shared before.
Finally, I felt like, at some point, I should at least mention marriage so it would not seem completely out of the blue once I finally got around to it, because in my head, that was always the general direction. Boba, to me, seems like a man of tradition as well as slightly possessive. So I thought once he finally realised he was indeed in love, he would like to make it official.

Hey guys, this is like my first fic ever so I hope you like it. I’d love any feedback as it always helps. Enjoy :)
This was requested by the lovely @jedicatt
You and Him
Pairing- Anakin Skywalker X Female Reader
Summary- You are the outspoken representative of Alderaan and the sister of Bail Organa. When you are under threat, you are put under Jedi protection by no other than Anakin.
Warnings- None :)
Words- 2.7K
Tumblr media
The luscious green, peaceful world of Alderaan had been your home since birth. Growing up under the success of your brother Bail meant you always wanted to follow his footsteps, and as you grew older your passion for politics was apparent. You were well-spoken but people would always describe you as fiery, you knew you had to stand up for what you believed in and sometimes that got you in trouble. Like the time, when you as a representative of Alderaan beside your brother Bail spoke out against malicious ways of the Trade federation quite blatantly, so much so, your brother swore he heard hundreds of gasps echoing through the senate. This was definitely one of the times you caused yourself trouble, but this time you swore you'd never take it back because this time, you met him.
‘I don't understand why there's any need for this!’ you gasped out you as scurried to catch up to Bail who was currently huffing down the corridors of the senate, ‘Of course you don't, you never understand when I tell you anything, like when I told you to not associate politics and your rather explicit personal view of the Trade federation together yet here we are’ he exclaimed. Smiling up at him ‘Uh yes, however, they deserved everything I suggested about them and you know it Bail and so do hundreds of other delegates. But Jedi protection? That's highly unnecessary and hyperbolic’, he looked down at you sternly but you could see the amusement in his eyes ‘ Well your suggestions have now got us on the tracks of bounty hunters and assassins,we are in danger, and by ‘we’ I mean you specifically. So I suggest this be the time you do listen’ you sighed in defeat, your brother had always been protective of you, he claimed it was due to your ‘outlandish’ ways but you knew it was because he cared for you. As you made it to the docking bay stepping into your yellow speeder, Bail spoke out ‘We’re heading back to the quarters and there we’ll meet our Jedi representative, please try and be polite or say nothing at all, both are fine’ he chucked, you looked up at him with an unamused expression as he turned the speeder around mid-air , why must he always treat you as if you were a child you thought frustratedly, but then proceeded to smirk the way you always did ‘Of course brother, when have I ever disappointed you’ he managed to give you smile before you sped off.
This is my mission, why must Obi-Wan escort me there as if I am a mere youngling, my master is a wise man, but his misunderstandings about my abilities are frustrating to say the least, Anakin’s mind rushed with thoughts as the elevator bolted up towards the quarters when his thread was broken by Obi- Wan ‘You seem a little on edge, nervous for your first mission?’ Anakin turned swifty ‘Not at all’ he replied a little unconvincingly ‘Are you sure? I haven’t felt you this tense since we fell into that nest of Gundarks’ Obi -Wan chipped amused, “Of course” thought Anakin, rolling his eyes, ‘You fell into that nightmare Master, and I rescued you remember?’ Obi-Wan pondered ‘Oh, yes’ followed by a hearty chuckle, this made Anakin smile. He did appreciate all that he and his master had been through, and after all he did care for him, as this thought passed the padawan’s mind, the elevator came to a halt, and the doors opened. Obi-Wan strode into the quarters, Anakin at his heel, if he was being completely honest, this was not the most thrilling first assignment , Aayla told him that she went ventured into the the notorious streets of Corellia as her first mission without Master Tholme, that all changed though, it all changed when he set his eyes on you. You stood there tall, confident with the most mesmerising smile he had ever seen on any species, it made his heart soar even though he’d never met you, though your eyes said different, they shone bright like the suns on Tatooine, like they’d known him for a thousand cycles with a sense of mischief clear, your hair framed your face perfectly like everything about you, perfect that’s what you were to him, perfect. Anakin was lost in you, so much so that he didn’t hear any of the conversation that was taking place, he only came to his senses when Obi-Wan gave him a rather harsh nudge ‘Anakin!’ he muttered. You chuckled softly looking up Bail.Anakin blinked ‘My apologise Senator Organa, and -uh..’ ‘Y/N, Y/N Organa representative of Alderaan’ you replied gleefully ‘Pleasure to meet you Master Kenobi and Anakin’, you must admit to yourself, when you thought you were going to be under Jedi protection, your imagination took you to the likes of Master Yoda, you did not expect men like Obi-Wan and Anakin who were quite frankly, far too dashing. Maybe this would be fun after all.
After brief discussion, it was decided that you were to be escorted back to Alderaan to the family country house under Anakin’ protection. Following a small , private bicker with Bail about sending you away from the Senate, you gave in and said your goodbyes to him and Master Kenobi and waited for Anakin to do the same. ‘I have faith in you Anakin, keep Y/N safe and don’t do anything without discussing with me or the council first’ Obi-Wan spoke somewhat tense himself ‘I assure you, I will master’ Anakin replied with a strange determination in his eyes, ‘Well then, you best hurry’.
As you two settled down in the surroundings of your passenger starship, covered by unknown faces, Anakin took it upon himself to get to know you. ‘So, what is a lady like you doing as a representative in the senate?’ he quipped, the smile you gave him yet again brought warmth to his heart, ‘Well, I have a tendency to speak my mind, so I thought why not put it to good use?’ you noticed how Anakin’s face sweetly scrunched up as he let out a most sincere chuckle ‘How about you? What is a flyboy like you doing at the Jedi temple’ you asked out of genuine curiosity ‘I was found in Tatooine at a very young age, the temple is all I’ve known since then.’he replied plainly ‘Must be difficult, having sworn your life to the Jedi, not being able to visit the places you like or do things you like’ ‘Or be with the people that I like’ he interrupted with a expression you couldn’t quite decipher, he was proving to be more and more alluring, you decided to let it pass. Changing the topic, you spoke mischievously ‘What do you like to do , apart from being the mighty defenders of the Republic?’ Anakin grinned he found you rather humorous, it lifted his spirits ‘We don’t have much time for hobbies but I'm good at fixing things I always have been , I used to pod race back in Tatooine’ he observed that you seemed to perk up that ‘What?’ Anakin inquired smiling with curiosity, you replied with a proud smirk ‘I pod race too actually, I have since I was little’ Anakin was pleasantly surprised, his earlier interpretation of you being perfect was only proving itself to be true ‘Really? I’m impressed, your talents only add to your ravishing beauty’ Anakin replied with the same mischievous grin that adorned your face earlier. You replied with a quaint smile, trying to disregard the heat rushing to your cheeks, nobody had ever spoken to like that, not in the way he spoke to you.
As the starship was just about to land, you stared out of the window you couldn't lie, you did miss home. Anakin stared at you whilst you peered out the window with a smile reaching high up to your cheeks. He must admit, Alderaan was an exquisite planet but to him, nothing compared to your bewitching beauty. Anakin knew he shouldn’t let his mind wander to thoughts such as these, he was a Jedi, he was supposed to be void of attachments. Y/N turned around, her hair gliding across her back ‘Come Anakin, I’ve got lots to show you’ stripping Anakin of his thoughts ‘ Of course Milady’ he smirked through his reply.
Y/N and Anakin spent most of the morning discussing, and jesting around about their strict lives back in Coruscant. Y/N showed Anakin her pod racer that she had previously built, Anakin seemed more and more invested in her life, slowing getting lost in the way she talked, smooth and resilient, like she believed in everything she said, even if she did say some questionable things which only made him laugh like he hadn’t in years. Currently, they were sat down at the table, feasting on some Starblossom fruit, an Alderaan speciality. Just as Anakin made the fruit float your mind also floated to a thought ‘Are you allowed to love?’ I sputtered out, Blast! What was that Y/N?, this was the first time you regretted being so vocal, this was sure to make things awkward ‘I mean, isn’t it forbidden for a jedi?’. You were surprised when he simply just smiled at you, his eyes looking straight into your own, they were blue and deep like the oceans of Mon Calamari, completely mesmerised ,you sighed softly, ‘Attachment is forbidden. Possession is forbidden. Compassion, which I would define as unconditional love, is central to a Jedi’s life’ he smirked ‘So you might say that we are encouraged to love’ if you weren’t already completely lost in him, you were now, nobody had ever left you speechless like he had now, silent at his fingertips. Just by using a number of words, there was something so special about him.
The next morning Anakin was woken with the bright sun rays shining upon his eyes and by the roar of your pod racer, pod racer? Anakin quickly changed and jogged out towards the sound, it seemed to be taking him in the direction of the Alderaanian flame-rose fields you had shown him yesterday. There he saw you, standing under the warm sun, you looked ethereal. Your skin glowing, your lips appeared so soft, so comforting, he swore he had never seen anything more beautiful. He noticed it wasn’t just one pod racer that was stagnant by your side, but a second one, now he matched the smirk jeweled on your face. ‘You said you used to pod race so I thought, why not test your skills?’ he smiled so fully, his face felt tight as a tied rope ‘Oh really? I wouldn’t want to undermine your abilities, Milady' ‘Don’t you worry about that Anakin, you don’t want to underestimate me’ ‘Of course, I wouldn’t dare’ he laughed content. Ah that laugh, it made your heart want to jump out and fly away, it made your day already. You both buckled up into your pods, making sure all the dials are at the correct calibration, gave each other one last glance and a signature smirk and sped off, you both doing unnatural speeds to the passing eye, dipping under trees and spinning to reach higher altitudes. Anakin was staying right beside you, almost harmlessly mocking you, you recalibrated the ignition switch and sped off, Anakin raised his eyebrows in surprise, he was genuinely impressed but his competitive side got the best of him, soon he met your speed. The finishing line by the trees was dangerously close you both looked at each other, eyes locked with determination and lips spilling with playful laughter, however, as you and Anakin were lost in each other, you failed to notice the flock of Nerfs herding around grass, you spotted them at the last second and tilted your racer up towards the sky. The finishing line was right ahead, Anakin was mere inches away and you were adamant on winning so, you jumped out of your pod. You steered towards the line and crossed it seconds before Anakin, landing on a patch of flame roses. Anakin’s eyes widened, he abandoned the pod and dashed towards you figure, laying face front ‘Y/N!, Y/N’ he rolled you over, only to hear you burst out laughing, he let out a breath he didn't know he was holding in ‘You should have seen your face! Your soul left your body, I swear’ you let out holding your stomach ‘Of course I was! Obi-Wan would have killed me if I let anything happen to you’ Anakin spoke out between chuckles, trying to hide his anxiety ‘Hmm I think not,I think you're terrified at the thought of anything happening to me’ you smirked. Anakin started into your eyes, shook his head and said nothing, but he started tickling your sides which only made you giggle further, you both rolled down the field, roaring with laughter. Anakin had never felt this happy and untroubled before in his life, as you both laid on the grass, the scent of roses brimming in the air, basking under the sun, you and him both letting out sighs of contentment, hands intertwined.
It was late at night, you were restlessly tossing and turning in your bed, your mind was whirling with thoughts of him, his smile, the way he spoke to you and only you, his golden hair glowing in the heat of the sun, his Padawan braid that you’d twirl between your fingers, you giggled yourself; you never had feelings like these sitting in the center of your heart, but it didn’t feel wrong. Your heart took you to the place it always took you when your mind was wandering like this.
Anakin felt your restlessness, his concern grew and grew until he had to come find you, you were right, he was terrified at the thought of anything happening to you. He gave in and, walked timidly towards your room, when you didn't answer to his knock, his anxiety took control. He composed himself and searched his feelings like his master had taught him, he let the force be his guide in search for your signature he’d progressed to love. Anakin's legs finally led him to the roof, where he saw you lying there on the ground under the lights of the stars ‘Y/N, are you okay? I couldn’t find you’, you replied with a simple ‘Join me’, Anakin didn’t hesitate and laid down beside you, he looked up at the glittering stars scattered in the sky of Alderaan, there was a gentle breeze, the scent of roses still following the both of you, then he turned to face you, he watched your chest rise and fall, his anxiety disappearing slowly just at the sight of you, you radiated beauty, charm and confidence, everything he had grown to love about you ‘I come here when my mind runs wild with thoughts’ you spoke out gently, you turned to look at him only to find him already looking at you. ‘What are you thinking about?’ Anakin inquired softly, you stared into his eyes, still bright and blue even in the shadow of dusk, you uttered timidly ‘You' he gave you a wide smile, ‘You’re all I think about Y/N, I love you’ he spoke barely above a whisper, so much so, that you wouldn’t have heard him if your faces weren’t so close and they only got closer when you replied with ‘I love you, with all of my heart’, the small gap between you and him started to close ever so slowly, shaky breaths falling from the both of your lips until they met with a chaste kiss.
You’d never regret the trouble you’d caused yourself that day at the senate, because you‘d always remember his deep eyes staring back at your own all those times, you’d never regret it because you met him. Anakin knew he’d never let you go, his other half he’d met on his first assignment, he’d never forget your face illuminated by the stars, the pure beauty of your face and mind. And for you both, it’d always be you and him.

https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13876994/1/Time-Travel-To-the-Past-Yoda-Goes
A time traveling Grandmaster, to the Prequel Era, trying to fix the mistakes the Jedi made, and get rid of a certain Sith too. Only Time Travel is not that easy, as Yoda will soon learn.
I've added chapter 15 to Time Travel: To the Past Yoda goes. Below is a small selection. Please click one of the links to read more.
Chapter 15 - The Iktotchi Curse
Shmi set the table today with a smile on her face.  She poured a cup of a drink her contact in Anchorhead said off-worlders really liked.
'Caff, huh.  It's brewed so dark.  I hope I did it right.'  Shmi took a tentative sip, to test the beverage… Then spat it out.  'Yuch! I can't serve this.'  She moved the pot over to the side to let it cool.  When it cooled down, she was going to water her garden with it.  On Tatooine you don't let any water go to waste.
While she was up, she heard C3-PO startle.  "Oh, my... oh, my! Master Anakin! My goodness, I can hardly believe it!"
And with that Shmi smiled.  She almost dropped the coffee, but instead placed it on the counter, and ran out to her boy.  Her heart sang with joy inside her chest.
"Mom!" Anakin shouted the moment she came into view.
"Oh, Ani!" Shmi had imagined meeting her Son in a civilized fashion, but in this moment she could do nothing but grab him as tears streamed down both of their faces.
'What do my son's new caretakers think of me now?'
"Oh Ani," she gulped, struggling to say anything.  "Look at how much you've grown."
Behind him a young man with auburn hair walked up.  "Greetings, ma'am.  I am Obi-Wan Kenobi.  It's nice to meet you.  Anakin has told me so much."
Shmi hastily wiped her eyes.  "Greetings."
When her eyes were dry and she could see clearly she studied her son's companions.  Master Windu and Master Yoda, from the night before, were there.  Along with a silent Iktotchi.
There was also a Kel Dor wearing an Antiox Breath Mask.  "Plo Koon," he introduced himself.
Next there were a pair of Thelothian women, who looked related, Shmi thought.  They introduced themselves as Master Adi Gallia of the High Council, and Master Stass Allie, of the Healing Circle.
In all these faces, Shmi looked for the one face of the Jedi she knew.  "Master Qui-Gon, is he with you?"
"Regrettably, no.  Master Jinn sends his regards, but he was unable to come," said the one named Obi-Wan.
"Qui-Gon had to stay to help the Creche Master, otherwise the nursery would be chaos and the babes would be running things." Anakin answered seriously.
Obi-Wan hid a chuckle at the boy's explanation.
"Oh, okay.  Please tell him that I send my good wishes," Shmi said.
"We will." Obi-Wan promised.
"Is this your new house?" Anakin moved on.  "Wow, it's so big!"
"My Cliegg owns the whole farm.  We harvest water vapor from the air in those Vaporators that are in the fields." Shmi pointed.
Anakin nodded.  "Refrigerated Condensers, or ionization fields?"
Trust her Ani to jump straight to the technical questions.  "You know, I don't know.  Perhaps when you meet Cliegg, you can ask him." Shmi hoped the Jedi weren't too displeased with her forward answer.  She could feel them shift as her son processed that answer.
"Where is he? Is he here?" Anakin strained his neck, stretching to see the open door into her home.
"No, Cliegg had some business in Anchorhead, and Owen went with him," Shmi said.
"And they left you here, alone?" Shmi almost laughed. Her Ani, always at her defense.
"They knew I had you to keep me company.  Come on inside.  I want to hear everything about your training with the Jedi," Shmi changed the subject...

Okay okay so, I looooooove TDPL and I've read and reread it like 6 times and I want to ask a question about it but I don't know what to ask??? So can you please rant about it a bit? Any drop of info about it soothes my soul.
Tumblr media
Awww, so much love lately. ❤️
So, this is a bit that I’ve played with and have been pretty tight-lipped about but... since you’ve all been so nice lately...
Original Trilogy Cameos (or maybe more?)
***SPOILERS AHEAD***
Several characters from the OT are going to play big parts in TDPL, and several will make cameos at the very least. Like...
Owen and Beru Lars
Yes, I’m gonna send the twins and Obi-Wan to Tatooine at some point. It’s only fair, since Leia gets to/has to interact with Bail on a regular basis, that Luke get the same bittersweet interactions at least once or twice. But emphasis on the sweet (for both of them). Because Beru looks at little Luke and Leia Whitesun who have lost everything (their parents, their adopted parents, their homes) and decides that more family is never a bad thing, Whitesun is her name and its a Tatooine name, they’re obviously related regardless of how distant (Luke by heart, Leia by proxy). She would love to be their aunt and Owen to be their uncle, feel free to write. And of course they take her up on this. Because Leia wants to know Luke’s family the way he knows hers. Because no matter how rough growing up on Tatooine was, Luke missed/has missed/misses Beru and Owen.
R2-D2
Still playing with how to address this, because everything has the Force, but at the same time, Droids don’t really have a Force presence, but if anyone could mess with the proper rule of things, it’s Anakin. I kind of imagine a sort of ‘comes-and-goes’ awareness. That Artoo gets more when Luke and Leia are around, but extra memories, conflicting images/classifications of Anakin, overlapping and contradictory command routines (Anakin-is-master/Obi-Wan-is-master/Luke-is-master. Aka: his change in ownership between the movies) aren’t something R2 droids can handle, so he sparks and sputters, and Anakin basically bans Luke from interacting with Artoo because this only happens whenever that Whitesun kid shows up. But Luke will find a way to fix this, because that’s Artoo and he’ll do anything for that little loyal droid.
And last but not least (MAJOR SPOILERS AHEAD, YOU’VE BEEN WARNED, I NEED A LAPTOP SO I CAN DO READMORES)
Seriously, you’ve been warned!
Keep scrolling if you don’t want any mid-story spoilers for The Dark Path Lit. I mean the gif gives it away, but if you watched the Clone Wars you knew he was going to be involved at some point. You knew.
Last chance!
Tumblr media
CHEWIE!
((I’m honestly surpised that no one’s asked about him yet. It’s been years.)
Oh, it’s gonna take a while, but mighty Chewbacca will show up and he will play a major role. There was no way in hell I was gonna leave him out of things!
Chewie, being much older and wiser, but so tangled up with the OT trio, gets something a lot closer to foreknowledge than whatever happened to our main four time travelers. He’s not really like Obi-Wan, but he’s not like the OT trio either (and even if he was somewhat ‘unmade’, who’d be able to tell. He’d lose like 10 years out of 200. No many people would notice). When Chewbacca finds himself on Kashyyyk, in the middle of the Clone Wars, he doesn’t freak out or panic (for too long, that is). He doesn’t have to intergrate a bunch of memories. Doesn’t have to adjust to being out of time and out of place. He just knows that his family is missing a few members, knows those missing members, their likes and dislikes, their presence and power, their scents and their looks, and that they’re going to need him when they show up.
He keeps an ear and an eye out for a tiny scoundrel who should be somewhere around Coruscant or Corellia right now (Disney is lowest Canon. I can and have elected to ignore Solo. Haven’t seen it, feel no obligation to include it). And makes sure the other Wookiees out and about in the galaxy know to contact him should the boy be found. Because Chewbacca also knows that he owes Han Solo a debt (and he wants to keep the cub safe, keep him nearby, that’s his cub and his best friend and he knows that the universe owed the cub a better life, so he’ll make it give Han one even if he has to rip off some arms to do so).
So you can imagine his surprise when he smells all three of his missing cubs on Ahsoka. Imagine how much more surprised (but still happily so) he is when Luke and Leia show up and they were always small, but now they’re even tinier and they’re crying because Chewie knows them, he knows them!
And then Han shows up, and of course Chewbacca wouldn’t have found him, he was looking for a kid, but Han’s almost a man already (by human standards at least), but he’s still Chewie’s cub that he’d swore he’d protect and they’re all there and calling him a fuzz ball and a carpet and a bunch of other things that are not-really-respectful but said with so much affection, and it’s not like their Shyriiwook names are much better and he’s got all three of them wrapped up in his arms and safe, with his wife and child on Kashyyyk and these three in his arms, his whole family is as safe as warriors can be (for they all, his wife and child included, are warriors. And they all will not give the galaxy to the darkness without a fight.)
And of course General Kenobi is involved, who better to watch after his missing cubs? And it’s perfect too, because Mighty Chewbacca hasn’t been idle this entire time. No, not at all. He’s been working on something that might help change the tides of this war...

yo yo you said handmaiden anakin stuff yes that would be good please tell me about how the handmaidens all try to spoil him rotten while ani keeps trying to prove he's useful. fixing EVERYTHING, "I can pilot the ship no really I swear, you don't have to hire someone else," making friends with all the droids and acting guilty when he's caught talking to them but also "TK-3L won't mess up the anti-grav anymore you don't have to scrap him (please don't scrap him)."
Definitely long enough for a read-more.
Anaké is missing, which is unusual. It’s only been a few days and it’s not as if all of Padmé’s handmaidens are always at her side, but normally he’d be right in the middle of the action, trying his best to prove himself useful. She briefly hopes he’s taken some time to relax, but is fairly certain he’s just found some new way to prove that usefulness that only a fool or a Jedi would miss in him.
She turns her head—carefully, because Eirtaé is braiding her hair up into Amidala’s latest style—and catches Yané’s eye. The others are busy laying out her robes for the day and cleaning up the remains of lunch.
“Do we know where Anaké is?” she asks.
“Sort of,” Yané says. “He’s with Fé. Not sure what they’re doing, though.”
“Hm.” Padmé frowns to herself, not really sure what they’d be doing either. Fé is a little . . . odd might be the wrong word, but she’s certainly unusual. She’s almost always the most distracted no matter what’s going on, but she can recite back more rules and laws and legal precedents than Padmé has ever heard and she never mis-remembers a thing. She doesn’t read especially much or study harder than the rest of them; she just remembers things.
Padmé actually wasn’t entirely sure she’d even noticed Anaké yet, so the idea of the two of them running off together is . . . puzzling.
“Would you call and check on them?” she asks. She’d do it herself, but Eirtaé’s at a tricky part of the braiding. Pins are involved, and also a very slim hidden vibroblade.
“Sure,” Yané says, and pulls out her comm and dials Fé’s. Hopefully Fé actually remembered it this time.
It takes a little while, but Fé picks up and her flickering image peers at Yané through the communicator.
“What?” she asks. She’s not the most mannerly of Padmé’s handmaidens, but then again neither is Yané.
“Yo,” Yané says, giving her a little wave. “You still with Anaké?”
“Yes.” Fé looks off-screen for a moment. “Mostly.”
“Mostly?” Padmé repeats reflexively.
“Mostly,” Fé agrees, like that’s a real answer.
“. . . doing what?” Padmé can’t help asking, and Fé looks puzzled.
“I’m not really sure,” she says.
“Could you ask him?” Padmé tilts her head a little, and Eirtaé pins another braid in place.
“The queen wants to know what we’re doing,” Fé says, and Anaké pops into view beside her, looking a mess. His hair’s sticking up in odd directions and there’s grease all over his clothes.
“We fixed it!” he exclaims.
“Fixed what?” Padmé asks, bemused. Fé turns the communicator, and an image of a workbench surrounded by several small whirring droids appears.
“That,” Fé says.
“The bench?” Padmé frowns. Anaké really should know he doesn’t need to worry about that kind of thing.
“Not that,” Fé says, and then Padmé recognizes looming behind the bench—
“The speeder?” she asks incredulously.
“Yeah!” Anaké says brightly. “They were gonna scrap it, but it just needed rewiring and cleaned out, there was a bunch of dirt and water in it. And some weeds. And stuff. I think somebody crashed it?”
“How long have you been working on that?” Padmé asks, mystified.
“Two hours,” Fé says.
“You fixed a scrapped speeder in two hours?!”
“Yes,” Anaké says. Padmé nearly laughs in disbelief.
“Anaké, that’s amazing,” she says, and he blushes so hard she can tell through the blue light of the communicator.
“Can it fly yet?” Yané asks with a grin.
“Yeah!” Anaké nods enthusiastically.
“Dibs on the first ride,” Yané says, grinning wider.
“You can’t even pilot,” Eirtaé says in exasperation.
“I can!” Anaké pipes up.
“Hear that? Anaké can,” Yané says smugly. “You’ll take me for a ride, won’t you, Anaké?”
“Um—it’s okay, right?” Anaké asks hopefully, peering at Padmé, who can’t help smiling.
“Of course it is,” she says. “Have you had lunch yet, though?”
“. . . no?” Anaké says uncertainly, glancing at Fé, who shrugs.
“We had breakfast,” she says.
“So no.” Padmé gives them a wry smile. “Why don’t you two come back to the rooms and eat, and then you can take Yané flying after, Anaké.”
“Okay!” Anaké says, lighting up at the mention of flying, and Fé nods confirmation and abruptly ends the call, which is very . . . Fé. She’s nearly caused an intergalactic incident or two just as a handmaiden, to say nothing of the times she was wearing Amidala.
Fé isn’t usually the first choice for body-doubling, put it that way.
“If we could get a few plates around for—” Padmé starts, glancing over at the others and finding Cordé and Saché already busily filling two. There is no short supply of sweet rolls involved, and Padmé smiles behind her sleeve. “Thank you, Cordé, Saché.”
“Of course, Your Highness!” Cordé says cheerfully, and stacks another sweet roll on her plate. Judging from the height of it, Padmé suspects it’s intended for Anaké. At least, that’s how much she would put on a plate intended for Anaké, who’s still so small and skinny and she’s still not sure eats enough. They should look into a nutritional plan for him; Tatooine can’t have been giving him everything a growing child needs.
“We should pack a picnic for him,” Saché says, and Padmé can’t help brightening at the thought. Maybe that would help Anaké relax, if he were away from the palace with just Yané and some lunch for a bit. She’s sure he could use the break after all that work. And perhaps she’ll send Fé too, if she’s amenable to the idea. Anaké’s spent the morning with her, they must be getting along well enough.
“That’s a wonderful idea,” she says. “Oh—and maybe one more sweet roll, Cordé.”

hey em!!!! i'm sorry again for your deleted blog :((
5, 10, and 18 for the writer meta asks please! <3
hi, nessa!!!! thank you so much for empathizing with me <3 /gen and thank you so much for sending this ask!!
5. What character that you’re writing do you most identify with?
OHHHHHHH. honestly? r6, my droid!oc. she's saved from a bad situation and comes out very skittish and shy, but she learns to trust, and she gains a new family who loves her and treats her well <3😭
10. How would you describe your writing process?
OH. i'm literally laughing right now bc ???? it is so all over the place alskjdalskjd. i guess i usually start with a theme, like dreams of peace is about learning to be vulnerable and to accept what you can't change. but when ideas first come to me, i often write out random scenes i imagine will be included. for dreams of peace, i wrote the sparring scene in chapter 5 wayyyyy before i wrote the rest of the chapter or most of the chapters before. and i guess i do that as i go along. like, i finished chapter 6 today, and i had written down a super rough draft of what a certain scene might look like and how it might fit within the overall context of the story. i usually know the beginning and the end of my stories, but the middle is more elusive, and i take it step by step, building around scenes i know i want to include and that have a lot of significance to the story.
and then when i write, i usually try to just blurt out everything i'm thinking without going back to make sure it looks good and has good pacing and stuff. i go back later and refine and add stuff as i see fit. i find that really works for me!!
also, i've recently started using scrivener on my macbook, and i love it!!!!!!!! way better than word or google docs.
18. Do any of your stories have alternative versions? (plotlines that you abandoned, AUs of your own work, different characterisations?) Tell us about them.
OMG OKAY LKASJDLAKSJD. SO. dreams of peace started out as a completely different story. so reader was best friends with anakin but not with obi-wan. (the beginning of her story is the same, though: she was an orphan in mos espa, and qui-gon discovers her and brings her back to coruscant.) i don't remember why her and obi-wan don't get along. anyway, she leaves the order, and there's a whole ANGST-filled thing with anakin feeling hurt and betrayed and then obi-wan who's like, "how could you do this? you've always said he was like your brother" and she says her reasons, and they both say hurtful things. anyways, she leaves, and order 66 eventually happens (i am NOT a fix-it fic writer slkadjas, but bless everyone who is /gen). she thinks obi-wan and anakin are dead. she goes back to tatooine bc she remembers how anakin had dreams about freeing the slaves. and so that's what she does. she feels like that's the only way she can have peace heyyyy (get it? dreams of peace alskdjsaljkd the title came from a completely different story 🤡 but there are dreams of peace in the for real dreams of peace lksjslakdj). ANYWAY, she's living on tatooine, trying to free slaves. and then bam there's obi-wan. AND OMG I JUST REMEMBERED THAT I WROTE. SO MUCH. FOR THIS STORY. AT LEAST A COUPLE CHAPTERS' WORTH OMG. oh, man, i've gotta read that lsksalkdj. and anyway it's an enemies to lovers thing!!!! i felt overwhelmed by the logistics of a story like that, where i'd have to create so much about how she was going about her purpose and what it would look like once obi-wan showed up, and yeah. i was not ready for something like that. and dreams of peace now follows the prequels/tcw timeline for the most part. if i finish it, it'll be my longest story i've ever finished. and then maybe i can work up to more worldbuilding stuff!!!!
send me some fun meta asks for writers!!
