Racer! Link
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Racer! Link x Reader
CW: Smut, Minors DNI, I will block your ass, author knows nothing about racing and it shows
AN: Yes, this is about that Link. The one with the elf ears, says "Hyah!". Yeah I'm a Linked Universe Nerd. Sucks to be y'all. Keep ya guessing on which fandom has my balls this week.
~Darling XOXO
Tumblr media
☾ So, I hesitated writing this for a number of reasons, but I decided I don't care. Hozier has a new song, April has me face down in the mattress with how hard it's fucked me and I just want to write about a Link near and and dear to my heart.
☾ Mario Kart Link.
☾ He's just a silly lil goober who's always having a good time. Especially when I play as him because what is second place? He'll never know.
☾ I know, canonically, both are Skyward Sword! Link and Breath of the Wild! Link. I do not care.
☾ Because come with me, sinner, as we explore a whole new world. A world where Mario Kart isn't a silly lil game. It's an empire.
☾ Like Fast and the Furious (I think, idk I never watched any of them). OR like sk8 the infinity at S. I do know that one.
☾ There are real things at stake here. It's intense, and it's heavy.
☾ Here, give me a break while I do some worldbuilding here. Mystery blocks are still a thing, they work by magic idk, except getting hit by one of those things is devastating. It's why the newcomers don't last long.
☾ All the main screen players (Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Inkling boy, etc.) are high level racers. They are A-listed and the ones you look out for if you see them in the lineup.
☾ Including Link himself. He drives a motorcycle he named Epona, which he built himself from scratch.
☾ I spent a lot of time (three minutes) trying to figure out a clever nickname for him, and then I saw some of the names other people gave their Linksona's and, while there's nothing wrong with them, I quickly realized I was overthinking things.
☾ It's mostly a stage name, his name is Link and outside of the raceway, he goes by it.
☾ But, for shits and giggles, and point of discerning him from the others, I don't care. Call him ratchet, greaser, racer, cypher, tank, axel, sparks. I'm giving you all the freedom! Me? Personally? I'm going to call him:
☾ Neo- a combining form meaning “new,” “recent,” “revived,” “modified,”
☾ Great I gave you some background, let's get into the fun parts.
☾ Neo, where do we begin with you.
☾ Have y'all read A Court of Mist and Fury? You know Rhysand?
☾ He's Cassian coded.
☾ LMAO You thought.
☾ He's a fun, kind-of guy but when shit gets real, he can shift from zero to a hundred like that.
☾ He'll be laughing with a newbie, patting them on the shoulder, but the second that visor comes down, he's unrecognizable. He's an A-lister for a reason.
☾ He's infamous for taking shortcuts that are insanely dangerous. He's almost always bandaged somewhere, but not his pretty boy, play bunny face.
☾ So Cassian and Lightning McQueen.
☾ He's totally the kind to shoot a wink and a flirty wave, spend the night and then be gone by morning. Or have them escorted out by his Zelda in the morning, Tony Stark style
☾ He's a slut.
☾ Can you tell I like my men slutty?
☾ And he's such a....character in bed.
☾ He's a selfish lover, but make no mistake about it. His partner gets their end. That's right. I said lover. He's fucked bowser.
☾ I'm kidding
☾ No I'm not.
☾ He doesn't care who's in his bed. Man, woman, the funky others who say FUCK YOU to the gender spectrum /pos
☾ He'll bottom, top, switch it up mid-way through. He just like me fr.
☾But he's not lazy. Selfish, yes, but lazy? No. He's the best rider both on and off Epona, yk yk.
☾ And he has such a pretty cock too. A pretty flushed pink, circumcised with such a lovely vein running up the bottom of it. And while pretty, sorry his balls aren't much to write home about.
☾ They are dangerously sensitive though. Suck on them and run your thumb along the head of his dick and he'll whimper.
☾ SPEAKING OF-
☾ He whimpers so nicely. God, when he's in the middle of bouncing up and down on you (artificial or organic both are good), and his own hands are running up his chest, plucking at his own pebbled nipples and playing with the piercings as his head is thrown back in pure bliss-
☾ He's probably sponsored by Monster Energy
☾ Has a sugar daddy FOR SURE. God wish I was HIM.

How the Chain solves dungeon puzzles
Time has been doing this since before his first puberty so he’s got it down to a science. With decades of experience he’d probably rely on that heavily when approaching any dungeon puzzle, and automatically pay attention to certain things like the design, who might have created it and the items he finds there to give him a leg up when it’s time to use ye olde noggin. That being said, since he has been doing this since he was a child I feel like he’d 100% rage if things got too difficult.
What? You think he survived the Water Temple because of patience and controlling his emotions? Goddess no, he was mentally 9 when he painstakingly got through it and it broke him. He now has a deep seeded hatred for all water based puzzles.
Warriors on the other hand, has spent a lot of time managing armies and little to no time in a room devoid of sunlight- unless it was shutting himself away in his office to crunch some overdue paperwork. Don’t get me wrong he’d crush any sort of puzzle where the solution is simply beating up a room full of monsters or the dungeon boss, but traditional puzzle he might struggle with. A lot of Zelda puzzles require an ‘out of the box’ kind of thinking that probably doesn’t come naturally to the ‘by the books’ Captain.
Since back in the day Twilight had Oocca and her son to teleport him out of the temple when he got tired, low on supplies or bored so if he can help it he won’t stick around longer than he needs to. That said he’d still really enjoy his time there, silently taking in the atmosphere and ambience of the dungeon.
Also, according to the 2000s Zelda fandom TP’s dungeon puzzles were the most difficult of the series. I’d wager that Midna, rather than helping out (outside of her being a companion type character), would’ve either cryptically teased the answer if she figured it out before him to poke fun or simply not have taken an interest and just nagged at him to hurry up. Meaning he solved them mostly on his own and therefore got really good at it.
Sky definitely used to chat with Fi as he solved puzzles back in his adventure, sharing thoughts, getting hints and occasionally voicing frustration. Because of this, he would definitely collaborate with whoever’s exploring with him and if he’s on his own then he’ll just talk to himself. Helps him think.
He’s the type to overthink every problem presented to him, to the point where he’d often invent a very convoluted solution when an obvious one was staring him in the face ignored. And unless there’s someone there to point it out he’ll never notice.
Like Time, Legend’s got a lot of experience dungeon crawling, I’d argue more since judging by Time’s armour he hasn’t been travelling a whole lot recently, so he’d also be relying on that experience. When he was younger, dungeon puzzles were a blast to figure out but now they’ve all just kind of bled together. There’s nothing he hasn’t really seen before in some shape or form, no tricks for the deity’s to pull that will surprise him.
He’d just breeze through each puzzle or trap like: “Lame,” or “Seen it,” or “Hey...the spider’s new,” yawning as he went. I feel though if he were paired up with Warriors (he could act nonchalant while Warriors is jumpy at everything) who’s new to all this or Hyrule how’s only ever seen really simplistic dungeon puzzles it could spark that joy he once had.
Wild would unashamedly break the system. Either accidently while finding creative way to cheat or to intentionally carve out his own shortcut. Not so much out of frustration, he could absolutely solve it they way the designers intended if he wanted to, trouble is he rarely has any interest in doing that. He used to ruin the carefully constructed puzzles (most of) the Sheikah monks crafted specifically to test him- right in their faces!- and they rewarded him regardless of the damage he caused. He’s been spoiled. I can imagine him blasting a way out only to turn around, go back in and intentionally destroy the rest of the puzzles for the sake of completion and loot.
Members like Wind, Hyrule and Time on a bad day would 100% support this method, the others would be horrified, with Legend somewhere in the middle.
Four is a very methodical sort of problem solver, not one to let his past experience cloud his judgment and restrict him to assumptions rather than trying out something new. As a blacksmith who’s probably gotten to learn about how other cultures craft their weapons he probably has a deep appreciation for the dungeons design and would be the first to point out what certain quirks of the building mean and what tribe left their mark there. Whenever he may feel agitated for not understanding a puzzle all he needs to do is walk around and look at some historic architecture to keep Blue at bay.
For this reason he may be one of the slower ones to complete a puzzle, but at least the walls swirling patterns may give him inspiration for a cool new sword handle. Not everyone would be able to relate to his eye for detail though.
Four: The paving looks amazing with all these unique carvings, don’t you think?
Hyrule: [grazing a hand over the stone] Ah yes, the floor is made out of floor.
Similar to Warriors Hyrule hasn’t really seen any complex dungeon puzzles, but unlike him he has a more creative ‘out of the box’ way of thinking, which would give him an edge. He’d probably get easily distracted though, lured away from the puzzle by a hidden passage or another route he hadn’t checked out, yet would somehow end up discovering every nook and cranny in the entire dungeon has to offer without much trouble.
Wind is not really a fan of them. Unless it’s for a specific purpose like rescuing someone or to beat up a monster he’ll actively avoid them. But if he had to he’d try to get through it as quickly as possible by literally just trying whatever first pops in his head. He’d rush past and ignore any sort of hints the designers might have given him and try to brute force his way though. When it eventually works he’ll immediately forget the solution though, so don’t bother asking how he got out just be glad he did, like Grandma would.
He’s not the type to ‘stop and smell the roses’ like Four, or just enjoy the atmosphere like Twilight, but he’s too polite (thanks to Grandma) to go around destroying ancient masonry like Wild.
Who do you think would make up the best teams (2- 4 people) if the chain were split up in a dungeon?
I’m thinking Sky, Four and Hyrule because they’d go at a slow pace chatting the whole time, with Four teaching the other two about who built the dungeon and Hyrule encouraging them to explore every room. Or maybe Legend, Warriors and Wind, with the latter two trying really hard and Legend supervising and making fun of them. Leaving Time, Twilight and Wild, where Twilight would struggle to keep Wild from blowing them up and Time being seconds away from joining him.

Thanks for reading!

Propaganda under the cut
Mipha
Honestly she's not just a victim of yaoi, tbh. Basically: she canonically had a massive crush on the protagonist, Link, which consistently gets swept under the rug or ignored entirely in favor of shipping Link with her brother Sidon, their fellow champion Revali, or Zelda herself. She deserves nice things and so many people just... completely overlook her??
She has a crush on Link, but so does her younger brother Sidon, who is much more affable and outgoing. Link/Sidon is the more popular ship. Mipha gets a lot of flak for being a weak female character who's only defined by her romantic relationship to the protagonist. That's not really fair; she has her own storyline about being the golden girl from her town who everyone looks up to, and the hole that's left in the town after her death. It is unfortunate that she is better remembered as the less compelling corner of a love triangle.
The princess of the Zora, sweetheart of the Zora's Domain. Champion pilot of the Divine Beast Vah Ruta. Master healer, cut down in her prime by an ancient evil. But you wouldn't know it, because she's reduced to someone who was in love with Link (the game's protagonist), and therefore has to be sidelined and villainized to ship Link with her younger brother Sidon or her fellow Champion Revali.
Zelda
She spent 100 years in a metaphysical wrestling match with an ancient and primal evil after seeing it destroy almost everyone and everything she held dear in the hopes of saving the few that remained and Link's main goal after HIYAHing his way out of a amnesia-inducing coma was to come in and tag team said evil in order to save her and like 90% of the memories he can regain focus on their relationship with each other and its gradual improvement up to the point where Link fucking dies protecting her and it's the push she needs to awaken the power to push back the blight and PEOPLE ARE STILL OUT THERE IN THEIR POST-CANON FANWORKS TRYING TO TELL ME THAT LINK FUCKS OFF AND LEAVES HER ALONE TO GO SMOOCH THE HOT FISH PRINCE BECAUSE ZELDA WAS BEING TOO OVERBEARING OR WHATEVER AND HE COULDN'T DEAL WITH THE EXPECTATION??? LIKE ZELDA'S WHOLE FUCKING ARC WASNT ALSO ABOUT HER STRUGGLING WITH EXPECTATION AND FAILING TO LIVE UP TO IT AND YOU WANT ME TO BELIEVE THIS WUALITY THEY BOTH OSTENSIBLY HAVE IN COMMON WOULD DRIVE A WEDGE BETWEEN THEM?? WHERE'S ZELDA YOU COWARDS?? I DON'T EVEN CARE IF YOU DON'T WANT HER AND LINK TO BE TOGETHER, JUST STOP DIMINISHING THE GRAVITY OF THEIR RELATIONSHIP AND MAKING ZELDA SUCK FOR NO REASON. SHE'S A BIG NERD! SHE GETS TOO IN HER OWN HEAD! SHE'D DO ANYTHING TO HELP THE PEOPLE SHE CARES ABOUT! SHE UNASHAMEDLY AND EXCITEDLY TRIED TO FEED HER PERSONAL KNIGHT A LIVE FROG IN THE NAME OF SCIENCE! HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE HER
Im specifically saying botw Zelda here because oh my gOSH this poor girl can get made out to be like a horrible bitch when people. want link to get that shark dick. on average she doesnt get thattttt badly treated compared to some others but goddamn.
title character but people hate her because they want link to get w sidon. so she gets fridged or entirely forgotten even though shes literally his canonical soulmate and they have been reincarnated together hundreds of times (w ganon but whether u make em poly or make him the long suffering third wheel is up to you). people will be like oh but zelda was mean to him that one time (??). be serious w me rn. she just got removed from fandom entirely and if that isnt the epitome of victim of yaoi idk what is.

Howdy!! A long time ago you mentioned you were working on a sequel to It's Witchcraft, Baby and I know it’s not out and may never be which is totally fine, I get it. BUT I’m wondering if you’d be willing to share any bits and pieces you have of it? I just reread and love it so much. That nick and Sabrina are so flirty and spicy.
Hope you are doing well regardless. 😊😊
Hi there
Thank you for the question, it's very flattering to hear that there is still someone rereading my stories for caos when the fandom has pretty much become a ghost town as far as I can tell.
The Howling Heart, the sequel to It's Witchcraft, Baby, was a story that never really got that far beyond the notes stage though. I dug through my old docs to see what I could find. Just a short little snippet of them sort of flirting. Past the cut.
Hope you enjoy.
“Spellman!”
Sabrina nearly tripped over her feet when she saw who was heading up the path towards the mortuary, towards her. The cold made Nick’s cheeks redden, wind tousling his dark hair. It made it far too easy to remember what he had looked like the night he had spent in her room, flushed cheek pressed to her inner thigh, dark eyes watching her writhe under him.
“What are you doing here?” She said, suppressing a grimace at how squeaky her voice sounded as her belly tied itself into knots.
“I was doing some spellwork in the woods, thought I’d stop by, see how you were,” he said, cramming his hands into his pockets as he stopped in front of her.
Away from the desecrated church and alone with him it was a lot harder to be blasé about what they had done together. At the feast ceremony under the watchful eyes of Zelda and the coven the anxiety had felt like a lead weight in her belly, too much had been at stake for his presence to be a distraction. Now though… The way he looked her over in a way that would presumptuous from anyone else was definitely a distraction.
“How I am?”
“Yeah, you know after what went down in the desecrated church last night. You aunt got you out of there pretty quick after they… well, after they dug into Mildred.”
“Oh, right, that,” Sabrina replied, the bothersome hunger of her thoughts veering wildly off course and back into horror all over again.
"My tolerance for the grisly is pretty high, but that was a lot, even to me,” he said with a grimace. “I can only imagine what it was like for you.”
“Still processing,” she admitted, restlessly shifting her weight from one foot to the other, trying to find her footing with him, the casual way he wove back and forth between sincere and flirtatious. “Thank you though.”
“You’re headed somewhere?” Nick asked, gaze lingering on her heavy tote bag before flickering to her mouth on its way back to her eyes.
“Actually yeah, I’m spending the day with my mortal friends,” she said, giving him a nervous smile. “So while I appreciate the check up, I really need to go or I’ll be late.”
“I can walk you?”
“That’s nice, but I know the way,” she said, exhilarated by the way he obviously wanted to be closer to her. “But I’ll see you soon, yeah?”
“We got plans that I don’t know about, Spellman?" He asked, one dark brow lifting in a way that was far more charming than such a little gesture had any right to be.
“At the academy,” Sabrina clarified, trying not to laugh, before turning around and heading down the path heading towards town.
“I'll be right where you need me."
When she looked back the first time, he was still standing where she had left him, raising his hand in goodbye with a cheeky grin, and Sabrina muttered a curse to herself at being busted, but when she darted a second glance over her shoulder, he was gone, and her smile faltered.

*yelling at everyone who hates on Ganon AND the folks who sexualise him because he's portrayed as the villain*
Ganon was not the bad guy! Demise exists you know! Demise was a manipulative asshole who used Ganon's desire for power, control, and some fucking stability in his godesses-damned life for once against him for his own gain, and he certainly did not need the help of dark* magic on his side to do it!
And do you guys even know how much fucking effort it took from all of us to break Demise's hold over him? Do you know how many late nights Zelda spent desperately searching through every magical text she could find in the ruins of the castle, praying to the goddesses for anything she could use to help? Do you know how many times Gan asked to be locked away for our safety and the kingdom's safety because he was so fucking terrified he'd hurt someone? Do you know how many times I sat up with him at night because he had nightmares about every time we couldn't beat him, and all those years in the castle with Zelda where he could have killed her? Do you know how damn hard my husband tried to beat Demise the whole time? Every single time you played the game and beat him, he was trying so hard to be better, to fight of Demise.
Imagine if there was a powerful magician who had manipulated you for millenia across every incarnation of you, across years and centuries, and every time there was a hero and a princess who came to fight you. Imagine if one day you realized you weren't getting anything from this person who promised you the kingdom, and started trying to fight back and the hero and the princess didn't recognize that. Imagine if these people you had come to care about immensely because they put you out of your abused misery could only ever kill you because they didn't know how to help. Imagine if there was a period of 100 years when you were locked in unending battle with the princess and she was finally able to see your struggle but couldn't do anything until the cycle repeated itself yet again because you both knew it was too late now. Imagine if you were transformed time and time again against your will into a beast and a body you couldn't control because He was and you had to watch as your own body killed your princess and your hero.
If you can imagine how horrible of a life that is, then you can see what my husband lived. He is not the villain. My wife and I worked so hard to get to the point where our husband could break Demise's control. Gan worked so hard to break it. He literally passed out from the effort of fighting that strong of a magic while trying to use a magic he'd never wielded before. Stop devaluing his fight, and stop devaluing that fight when he loses that fight.
A very angry Link fictive who is pissed at fandom for being mean to their husband (#💚🗡️)
(*btw, magic's dark/lightness is based on intention, but also I stand by the fact that the concept of dark/light magic being a racist concept, however I don't really know any other way to phrase this. but yeah, magic isn't inherently good or evil, it's a force of nature. you wouldn't call a hammer evil or the tides evil, they simply are. You call the intentions behind their use evil.)
PS: to any Ganons, Ghirahims, or actually any other villains from anything ever, I know you had your reasons (even if they were that you thought it'd be fun tbh) and I won't hate you for it
PPS: I once fronted in the middle of one of our classes just to share that "I" firmly believed that Ganon wasn't the villain AND OUR TEACHER AGREED WITH ME!!! minor positivity in my "yells at fandom" post ig

9 People You'd Like to Get to Know Better
Tagged by @turbulentpumpkin43. Thanks for thinking of me! I know I haven't been around much (for reasons we don't need to get into), but truly nothing summons me faster than the email notification about a tag game where I know I'm going to have to say something horribly embarrassing about myself.
Three Ships: I mean, if we're counting stuff with OCs then obviously anyone following my knows Balthazar and Tristian (and the wonderful polycule with Vio) is my number one. Aside from that, the latest volume of Witch Hat has fully converted me into an Agott/Coco true believer. I actually did like the Coco/Tarteh vibe but Agott's special brand of slowly changing rival just has me by the throat. Aside from that? Ummm. Elliot and Leo from Pandora Hearts? Does that count? I did my full reread of Pandora Hearts while afk in September and those two have had me since like 2012 or 2013 or whenever they were introduced in the English release. But now that I'm older and more mature I can better appreciate what the messy later arcs had to give, and that's the beauty of a relationship between equals corrupted by a growing imbalance no one has the strength to acknowledge and devotion so deep it tears both of their lives apart. That's awesome. 11/10, everyone read Pandora Hearts and I'm not even joking
First Ever Ship: Gamers, back in early 2012 when I was in middle school and could only see images on the computer at school because searching for anything visual online was mega bad for rural internet, a friend of mine used a science classroom computer to discover you could find non-canon images of The Legend of Zelda if you searched terms like "Link blue" and scrolled down a couple rows. I distinctly remember this as the first ever time I really understood the concept of "fan art," and more importantly as my entry into fandom as we all began to realize many of these came from the same site: a place called "DeviantArt." Some of these contained such salacious and unthinkable things as two boys holding hands and blushing, and also both of those boys were Link. I was so captivated by these mysterious images that I followed them to their Four Swords Adventures manga RP fandom source, where I am not proud to say the first "ship" I adopted as such was Vio (Violet Link for people who spent their time doing better things at thirteen) and Shadow (Shadow Link, of course). That's right, everyone! It was edgy Link selfcest yaoi between a traitor and an angsty villain all the way down!!! And you know what? When I write that I don't think my taste has changed. Except the selfcest. Mostly.
The other, more respectable first ship I remember not long after that was Ulquihime. What can I say, there's just something about the Stockholm syndrome of it all.
Last Song: No title - REOL. Narrowly missed this being edgy early Vocaloid. I've been revisiting old favorites recently.
Last Movie: I'm pretty sure it was Surf's Up. For whatever reason my friend decided we should rewatch it when I visited him a few weeks ago. Holds up better than it should, but I've rewatched it twice in little over a year and truly that is my Surf's Up limit. That trip was also when my friend forced me to watch Barbie and the D&D movie. Look at me catching up on relevant pop culture only for fucking Surf's Up to be what made this list.
Currently Reading: I'm pretty sure this came up last time, but because I haven't gotten started on a better book since then I'm unfortunately still periodically chipping at The Thousand Deaths of Ardor Benn. This book fucking sucks. Don't read it. If we could manga and stories that are actually good I recently did a Witch Hat Atelier reread after getting volume 11!!! That volume is. So painfully personal.
Currently Watching: Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and Jujutsu Kaisen season 2. JJK is with my friend for weekly hangout, but Edgerunners is a solo endeavor because it was bumming him out way too much. Good show though. Also JJK was way more of a bummer than expected in ways that caught me off guard??? I'm not getting over what happened to that girl, I really got fucking got by that scene. Jesus
Currently Consuming: Nothing. Just finished dinner, where I had a chicken sandwich and fries. I need groceries. It's dire.
Currently Craving: doing something creative, but that would require moving the giant zine pile on my chair........ this is how I'm procrastinating
I'm sorry, but I'm actually not tagging anyone on this tonight! I haven't been on enough lately to know who has or hasn't done it, and frankly I'm not ready to be back on Tumblr enough to map that out. If you're seeing this and want to do it, please go ahead and do it. Tag me like I tagged you, we are collaborators in this and I want to see what you say.

March Fic Recs
Here are the fics that I’ve really liked this past month. All of these are complete. Enjoy!
Fandoms: Animorphs/Julie and the Phantoms Crossover (1), Avatar the Last Airbender/Boku no Hero Academia Crossover (1), Boku no Hero Academia (5), Harry Potter (2), Julie and the Phantoms (1), The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (1), Sk8 the Infinity (1)
Find February Recs here or browse my fanfic recs tag.
Fandom: Animorphs/Julie and the Phantoms Crossover Title: The Lamented Author: breakaway71 Pairing: Aximili-Esgarrouth-Isthill/Marco Rating: Mature Word Count: 17,306 Summary: Before he ate a bad hot dog, Reggie spent the last four years of his life fighting a secret war against a race of body-stealing alien slugs.
He never quite got around to telling his two best friends.
Fandom: Avatar the Last Airbender/Boku no Hero Academia Crossover Title: In His Element(s) Author: WriterGreenReads Pairing: None Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Word Count: 115,066 Summary: "“So… one more time.” Shouta pinched the bridge of his nose, regretting both waking up this morning and possibly existence in general. “You’re the spiritual avatar of an entirely different world, and in the process of keeping the peace with said spirits, originating from your… dimension, you’ve come to our world to stop the actively malicious versions of your spirits, because our world told your world that something was wrong.” The child shrugged and grinned, looking much too cheery for someone currently in handcuffs. “Pretty much!” he chirped. “Your world spirit is really polite, too. Ours was super grumpy about all the spirits escaping, but then yours said it was ok, so long as I teach her more about them on the way back!”"
Aang chases some renegade spirits across worldly borders and possibly makes some new friends along the way.
Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia Title: That time I got reincarnated as a doomed side character Author: Gentrychild Pairing: Midoriya Izuku/Todoroki Shouto Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Word Count: 85,806 Summary: Izuku wakes up in the recent light novel he read called “ My Hero Academia.” Unfortunately, he’s in the body of Midoriya Izuku, a minor character killed off early in the manga to motivate the main character Katsuki Bakugo on his Hero’s Journey. Izuku decides he’s going to do whatever it takes to stay alive in this stupidly deadly Isekai.
Unfortunately, Izuku isn't aware that in the last novel of the series where the minor character who died is revealed as the main villain’s son.
All for One has relived his son’s death multiple times, unable to change the outcomes.
But something has changed this time.
Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia Title: like stained glass Author: SpiritusRex Pairing: None Rating: Teen and Up Audiences Word Count: 7,338 Summary: “It hurts,” Izuku whispers to no one, voice thin and choked. Letting the words out makes it all feel real, and the tears he’d been holding back finally break the dam and roll down his cheeks. Wrapping his own arms around himself as he trembles in the storm of his despair is as close as he’ll be able to get to comfort right now. “It hurts, it hurts.”
He doesn’t want to have to do this alone. He’s so tired of having to push through pain alone. It’s something he’s been doing all his life, but can’t he, just once, have someone to hold him up when he stumbles?
Just once. That’s all he’s asking for.
Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia Title: How Many CLIF Bars Will It Take? Author: Minette_SH Pairing: None Rating: Not Rated Word Count: 5,750 Summary: Izuku: I didn't kill these people! Aizawa: But you know who they are, how they die, when they die. Izuku: ... Listen, I know this looks bad... Aizawa, sliding CLIF bar across table to Izuku: I'm listening.
OR: Izuku has a Quirk which makes him see how people die two weeks before it happens. He's trained himself to draw the victim's portrait while he's having the dream and sends them to the police in the morning. Aizawa is working the case and doesn't suspect the moody teen barista is behind all the ominous portraits until he comes knocking on his door one early morning.

There was literally no one else it could be other than Aizawa-sensei, and there was no possibility that he'd be willing to even attempt to keep a bond with Izuku.
Even after everything their class had been through together, Izuku was pretty sure that he was only one bad day from being expelled. Having his teacher's soulmark? That would probably send him right over the edge.
~ or ~
Everyone has a fated soulmate, but soulbonds are fragile things, and Fate doesn't like leaving people unmatched. If one soulmate doesn't work out, another will present itself, though most people aren't unlucky enough to have to experience this.

The newest person to bear his mark, his teacher, Aizawa Shouta, has also known the pain of broken bonds. Can they make a relationship work in spite of their age gap and the secrets that Izuku keeps?

May Flowers Day 8: Sweet Pea
Theme: Goodbye
Fandom: Zelda Twilight Princess
Characters: Zelda, Link, Midna
Rating: G
A low hum emanated from the mirror as it split and expanded into a bridge between light and Twilight. The trio stood before the large mirror, looking up at the gate as it opened and feeling the finality of the event. The land was safe, the Twilight realm was safe, they were safe. And yet they felt a pervasive melancholy that hampered what little relief they felt.
Midna attempted to placate herself by gripping the fabric of her skirt. She had decided a long time ago what she was going to do when she returned home. But now that it was so close, she was beginning to hesitate. Zelda and Link gave her some comfort, offering her things to bring home, offering to walk her all the way to her castle, even offering a stay in Hyrule Castle if she wasn’t ready to face her people yet. Midna appreciated it all, but it didn’t feel deserved after how she abandoned them. And how she treated Link when he was scared and confused in the beginning.
After all they’ve been through, Midna felt like she owed the two Hylians. But she felt especially close to Link. They hadn’t spent a moment apart throughout the whole adventure. They fought together, traveled together. It was hard for her to deny the overwhelming warmth in her chest that she felt every time Link gave her that dopey grin. She held her arm and looked off in the distance.
“Are you sure you’re ready to go?” Zelda asked, waiting beside the stairs to the platform. Midna blinked and looked over.
“I… almost,” Midna said, “I just need to talk to Link… privately.” Zelda nodded and headed up to the platform. Midna went over to Link, taking his arm and leading him a distance away without a word. Link was concerned, but he followed silently behind her. Once they were aside, Midna took both of Link’s hands, staring down at them and sighing. She was a bit taller than him. Looking at their hands kept his face in view and she could see him growing confused.
It took Midna a bit to find the words she wanted.
“I appreciate you a lot, Link,” She said, hesitating once more, “I wish I had known you for much longer. I have a lot of things I wish I had said. A lot of things I wanted to do. But, perhaps, I can find someone a lot like you someday.”
Link furrowed his brow. Midna still refused to directly make eye contact and her dancing around the point was making it hard to know what she was talking about.
“We belong to two very different worlds. I wish we didn’t have to… to” She trailed off. He could see her eyes watering and his hand moved without his input. He cupped her cheeks, brushing his thumb under her eye to dry the tears and brought her gaze to his. They looked into each other’s eyes for a moment. Link brought her face down, pressing his forehead against hers.
Though the silence felt like ages, it was still too short. They separated and went to the platform where Zelda waited for them.
Midna looked back as she was leaving. The tears welling once more in her eyes. She smiled at them, allowing a tear to fall.
“Thank you…”

Popular BOTW theory debunked!
Hi, Zelda fandom. I’m really sorry this has to be my first post, but I want to clear up what seems to be a very popular fan theory as completely untrue.
I only got into the game recently, but I’ve seen a lot of people talking about how in the Japanese version of the game, the quests are written from Link’s perspective and in the style of a diary.
Not only is there no actual proof for this (that I can tell), it’s actually quite misleading. No offence to the OP, but there’s a lot of slightly off things being shared. Particularly as I’ve seen big YouTuber theorists also make points based on this “fact”, I really wanted to, as a person who speaks Japanese, clear it up for you.
Japanese Pronouns
So the main issue here is that Japanese as a language functions differently from English (plus a lot of other European languages). If you’ve ever taken a Japanese class, you’ve probably started a sentence with “watashi wa~~~~”. The thing is, actual Japanese people rarely do this.
Pronouns just aren’t necessary in Japanese often. You use context alone to figure out the subject. For example, “I went to the shop” would be more like “shop went” in Japanese. The “I” is clear enough. If the sentence wouldn’t be clear, a name is usually used, but failing even that a pronoun can finally happen. They’re more of a “reserved for necessary times” word function, not one that appears in almost every sentence.
The issue with Breath of The Wild
So taking a look at Link’s adventure logs in Japanese (both the main and side quests - I haven’t completed them all on this save file yet but I went through more than the original theory post did anyway), there’s no pronouns anywhere. No version of “I” that I can find, and no “you” either. I spent quite a long time reading them all, and I just don’t see it.
I think some of the confusion might have arisen from the “tai” verb ending (which means ‘to want’). Yes, this is more associated with first person. It’s not a confirmation though. You can still use it when speaking to someone.
The main ACTUAL difference with the English (aside from some lines being cut) is that the style is written way more formally than Japanese. That does not automatically mean first or second person. It’s just a very interesting style choice difference from the translation team - who made it more formal in other countries. It’s really funny, by the way. It talks about Link being a hot woman at one point - maybe I’ll translate some at some point.
Remember how I just explained context? BOTW literally doesn’t have one. It could just as easily be taken as “you” or “I”. So, whilst I think that it’s fine to theorise, it’s quite irresponsible to push the canon narrative here. A lack of “you” doesn’t automatically equal an “I”.
Diary?
The only real incriminating thing is the menu being called something like “adventure notebook/memo/etc.”. That being said, I don’t think this should necessarily be taken literally. It’s not that dissimilar to the English anyway. The actual section headers are more like “main challenge”, “side challenge” which would be out of place in an actual diary.
Nintendo straight up used the word for “diary” in other places, so I feel like if they really wanted this effect they would have committed more to it.
Link’s Memories - the nail in the coffin
I know this isn’t the main part everyone seems to have been talking about, but it’s still on the same menu and presented in a similar way. If you go to Link’s memories, they’re pretty much all very explicitly in third person.
Tumblr media
Apologies for the zoomed in picture, I was talking to a friend on instagram and I didn’t know I would make this post at the time. It’s pretty simple to fact check though.
It literally says, clear as day, “Zelda and Link”. Some of the other memories specifically reference Link as “he”. This is all under the supposed “diary” menu, too, so unless you want to argue Link is experiencing some dissociation from his past self-
What I actually think
I admit I’m not a long term Zelda fan, however from what I understand Link is really meant to be the player, right? Is that not part of the REAL reason he has no spoken lines? It would be really strange to me for Nintendo to straight up directly spell out Link’s thoughts like that. It seems very intentionally up to interpretation.
Japanese “I”, when it is used, is problematic because it’s gendered. I’m sure a lot of fans of Japanese culture are aware of “boku”, “ore”, “watashi”. If Link is supposed to be the player, they can’t really use a pronoun like that as it’ll alienate a portion of the audience.
From what I can see, the origin of this is from quite a small twitter post, where a Japanese fan shares their thoughts on the idea. If the theory was something obvious that spoke for itself, why would they be making a “did you notice this” post? Again this furthers the “interpretation” idea.
It would be really weird for translation teams to make this much of a change anyway. The formality thing was stylistic, but I doubt they could get away with this severe of a meaning change. I have a LOT of harsh things to say about how much they messed up like most of the cutscenes (for real it’s shocking), but this I don’t think would have been changed so much. From my knowledge of the industry, anyway.
Summary TLDR
I’m really sorry, but the original theory is pretty wrong. Well, let me put it this way. I think, if you want to ignore the memory context, you can headcanon that the adventure logs are from Link’s POV. No matter the case, I still think they are represented of his feelings in some way. The adventure log being Link’s POV is a theory only, not a FACT.
The only way it can actually be proved is if one of the writing staff has actually stated the intent in an interview or something, and I have yet to find one.

Fandom: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Ship: Revalink (Revali x Link)
Word count: 4684
A/N: This piece is a work for the Revalink Valentine’s Exchange 2021 @revalinkexchange! Happy Valentine’s Day to my dear giftee @spacesephora! Thank you for providing the prompt and inspiring me; I do wish you enjoy reading my take on it!
Read on AO3
Vah Medoh was lonely.
Before the Calamity, Revali never really understood how the mechanical beast thrown under his wing worked. He was told countless times that it held a soul, but then again, he questioned himself when he was alone almost as many times as he’s heard of it, how could a stone machine be ever capable of having one? And yet despite those doubts it was one of the few things he kept to himself and never dared to speak up about it; it wasn’t like he possessed any more knowledge about ancient Sheikah technology than Purah, Robbie or even princess Zelda.
With those thoughts repressed deep inside him, Revali continued to listen to more of the scientist’s advice and theories and utilizing them later when within the divine beast. He had never once felt a presence surrounding him, making him doubt all the efforts he made to “connect” with Medoh, but nevertheless never stopped trying. It was surprising when he heard of Daruk having problems with taming Rudania. It made Revali almost paranoid, now looking over his shoulder at the slightest sound and faint feeling of something sneaking up his spine. Yet despite that, a part of him still seemed to be wary of the idea of Medoh being alive.
It changed when his own life came to a tragic end.
He no longer had any doubts. He no longer had any body, he turned into merely a presence, one that he once didn’t believe to be real. As the consciousness left his mortal, limp body, Revali felt his soul intertwine with another one, one that could only be Medoh. They became one and the same, a wicked, infested part of her threatening to infuse his mind.
He despised it; he spent his first months silent, lost in thought not bothering to speak to Medoh despite her malicious cries. Their roles switched, now he was a beast that needed taming. He isolated himself, wallowing over his lost life, cursing Hylia and pitying Hyrule’s fate all in the one of many corners of the divine beast. After a few years, his mindset changed, however. Revali realized that his soul was bound to Medoh’s forever, whether pure or cruel, and there was nothing he could do about it; he could not escape, he could not defeat her nor could he take his own life as he was already dead.
With a heavy heart he submitted to his fate and day by day, night by night the pain started to lessen.
He let himself let out everything; his fears, burdens, memories, passions. Even if Medoh was swallowed by a dark force, he still felt as if an old part of her was still there, understanding him and his emotions, something he hadn’t been graced by in a very long time. At times, he wondered if that was meant to be from the beginning; two lonely souls finding each other. Revali smiled feeling her presence, he felt content with that.
That was until Link came back from the dead.
The sheer sight of him made Revali feel a strange sensation inside of him. Watching him was strange. He had not changed, not one bit, his youthful features apparent with movements mirroring those which Revali remembered from a century ago. Despite that something felt off. He brushed it off, too interested (and too excited) in observing Link’s struggles with overcoming the difficulties he was faced with to care.
What he couldn’t ignore however was the feeling that loomed over him after he and Link had parted. The loneliness that Revali hid deep inside himself was threatening to tear trough again, its power strengthened. Medoh’s company wasn’t enough, he realized with pain. He became quieter than he was in the beginning, not daring to let his thoughts slip. Hiding from Medoh wasn’t as difficult as it used to be with his newly acquired body (he was still but a mere spirit, yet it was still much more than he could’ve ever imagined). What was, though, was hurting her.
It felt terrible yet he couldn’t make himself open up to her, straying away as far as he could. He remained distant and cold ignoring her cries, longing to see the world once again, if only for a second.
Revali was absorbed in his thoughts, looking out at Rito Village through the humongous round windows when it happened. Out of the blue, he felt some divine being wrap him in their hands and suddenly he found himself in a place, beside somebody that he expected the least to see.
It was raining terribly, and Link looked almost as shocked as he did, clinging tightly to his cloth paraglider as Revali’s spirit circled around him, wings spreading in a graceful manner, summoning an updraft that lifted them both up in only a matter of seconds. It was as if the same force as before was controlling all his movements. Revali was overwhelmed by what was happening around him, by what was happening to him. He could feel everything; the wind grazing his feathers, the rain coating them, the almost suffocating air that he breathed, the lingering smell of the ocean. It all seemed too good to be true. And for the first time in a hundred years, he felt alive, no matter how ironic that was, considering he was still very much everything but that.
He couldn’t tear his eyes away from Link’s, raw emotions shining through them (as though the knight could feel). He wasn’t sure if it was the force that made it impossible or if there really was something truly captivating, mesmerizing about them. He couldn’t give it another thought, however, as he felt that same bizarre, divine hands take him into their care. Panicking, he opened his beak to shout. Before any words had a change to form, his vision became blurry and in a blink of an eye he was once again reunited with the cold, indifferent interior of his divine beast.
“No!” he cried as the words found a way to escape, his wing instinctively reaching forward to grab what was left of this beautiful dream he had, only to be met with hard glass preventing him from falling down, in a moment where he wanted to fall the most, feel the wind graze his feathers once more. “No…” he said again with head pressing painfully against the window as he gradually slid down to his knees. His gaze locked at the very sight he was looking at before, his home, Rito Village. Revali felt a lump form in his throat, choking a sob. “Please,” he said, pleading to whoever who listened, voice shaking. “Please, let me out of here.”
His wish couldn’t be fulfilled, not if he was not called for by this divine force.
Which wasn’t something he expected to happen as weeks flew by. What did, however, happen was that he was left completely alone as Medoh wouldn’t be bothered by his behavior anymore. Revali couldn’t hear her cries and thoughts; she shut him off just like he wanted and yet he still found himself missing them. He would never admit that of course, whatever was left of his pride making him bottle it up inside, quietly hoping that one day the silence would break.
And finally, that day came. It was unexpected and sudden and… peculiar. The presence that Revali felt, and assumed to be Medoh, was very much unlike anything he remembered. Something about it was off, as if it couldn’t possibly be her but then again perhaps, she has changed and in doing so did the feeling of her presence as it had been a while since she has too isolated herself. Revali though was too distracted by the sheer joy that he felt in this very moment, calling Medoh’s name in his thoughts, hoping that she’d hear him and rushing through the insides of the divine beast searching for the place where he’d sense her the most.
“I’m sorry,” the thoughts echoed in his mind, as he couldn’t bear to speak, knowing that Medoh preferred them to hearing his voice. “I’m sorry I was so selfish, Medoh please forgive me.” They were running almost as fast as he was. “Give me a sign that you’re there!”
Revali was slowly but surely getting tired of participating in this cat and mouse styled game. Just as he was about to call out her name with his voice, he had felt her presence right next to him. Abruptly, he turned his head to face her and it wasn’t Medoh, oh no. For the third time in the past few months, he saw none other than Link.
He wasn’t sure whether to feel surprised, disappointed, annoyed or relieved even. He simply sighed and let his shoulders slouch back. “What are you doing here, knight?” he asked, voice harsh. “Don’t you have a world to save?” Revali was staring right into Link’s eyes intensely, nearly burning holes in them. For a short while, everything else disappeared, the world was shut out. It was only him and Link, looking, trying to solve the hidden meanings behind their mannerisms, expressions, eyes. Revali didn’t mind the sensation that it gave him, he longed for anything that helped him get his mind off his terrible afterlife.
Suddenly the wind howled, breaking the tense silence surrounding them. The sound reminded Revali of Medoh. He grunted and looked away a bit embarrassed. “A hundred years and you still hadn’t got back your tongue,” he said regaining his stance.
He was ready to dismiss the whole situation and go back to Medoh to try and search for comfort, but much to his surprise, he heard a voice, making his plan temporarily impossible. “I-,” It came out as a rasp. Revali’s eyes widened as he realized that this voice belongs to Link. “I thought that you could use some company.”
“You what?” he choked, not believing what he just heard. The feathers on his body ruffled uncontrollably, standing up from every side. He wasn’t sure whether it was because of the raspy, probably from unuse, serious tone, because of the message that the words passed, or perhaps the combination of both. The fact that he was trying his hardest to hide it, getting annoyed in the process wasn’t of any help. “What made you think so?”
For an unknown reason, some part of him expected Link to shrug and laugh in his face, saying that it was but a mere joke and yet none of that happened. He stood there, seemingly tall and proud of what he said. This time it was Revali that felt the gaze staring right into the inside of his soul. He on the other hand couldn’t bring himself to look at the knight’s face. “I know you’re lonely,” Link said, his voice now softer.
Revali let out a short awkward laugh. “I don’t know what-,” he tried to argue but was quickly (and efficiently) cut off.
“Don’t try to deny that,” his serious tone came back and Revali couldn’t help but to look at him. His gaze was as stern as his posture, both hands by his sides, curled up in fists. “I’ve seen it in your eyes, it’s written all over your face,” he started with passion, confident with his words spread only the truth. “The first time we met, when I… I don’t even know saw your… spirit?” he stumbled, probably too many thoughts flooding his little head yet still remained as passionate. “A-And now, too,” he added quickly. “You can’t hide it.”
Revali stood before him, stunned. His beak was opened slightly before it formed into a frown. “Unbelievable,” he scoffed, and more feathers ruffled on his back. “You,” he angrily pointed one finger at Link. “Have a lot of nerve coming here,” he was gesticulating wildly. “To my home, out of the blue, completely uninvited and tell me about my personal problems whilst not having resolved your own!” he huffed and took a deep breath. “Completely ridiculous.”
Link took every word that he spit at him with patience. He had closed his eyes and didn’t bother to respond. This angered Revali more, but he had no more energy to waste. “Oh, so now you won’t answer?” he waited a little while longer before realizing that it’s in vain. He turned on his foot, ready to hide in the shadows of Vah Medoh. “Classic.”
“I need your company!”
Revali stopped walking. This sentence alone sparked his interest enough to stay and listen to what Link had to say. The Hylian seemed to get the cue. “I-I am lonely too,” his voice was much quieter than only seconds ago; it was obvious that he hadn’t planned to bring this subject up and yet he still kept going. “You don’t owe me anything but,” Link sighed deeply, preparing for whatever he was about to say. “You’re the only one who understands what it’s like to truly be alone, what it’s like to be the one left behind.”
Revali could feel Link looking at him expectantly. “You’re wrong,” he heard Link take a breath. “Not that I expected anything else, but…” he turned to face him and yet didn’t look at his face, focusing on everything but him. “I am not lonely,” he stated, putting the most pressure on the third word. “And I do owe you something. My soul. And for that I-,” Revali’s eyes caught Link’s and only now he noticed the brilliant blush on his cheeks that he’s not seen before. It distracted him but he quickly shook out of it and he chose to ignore it, grunting and glancing away. “I suppose I can give the company that you crave so much.”
And ever since then, he had kept his word, as every time Link visited him, he’d embrace him with open arms. Revali had become reliant on his visits, firstly only craving any form on intimacy since Medoh was no longer an option. At times he’d even compare the divine beast to a desert since it was so desolate, empty and vacant only until Link showed up, momentarily replacing the feeling of being alone with joy upon meeting another person. Link was Revali’s escape, nothing more.
“I plan to battle with Ganon in a short time.”
Or so he had thought a while ago.
Somehow that sentence that was whispered to him made him fear more than ever. A cold shiver ran down Revali’s spine as his fingers curled up in Link’s hair stopped their movements. He felt the blonde shift on his lap, later a hand touching his face. “Is something wrong?” Link had asked, his voice concerned and soft.
Revali didn’t look at him. His heart screamed yes and yet he said “No, everything’s fine.” To assure Link, or himself really, he continued stroking his hair. He felt his heart leap, sink, do cartwheels and everything in between. He was far from being okay. He swallowed audibly. “Just… try your best to dodge his attacks.”
Link laughed and turned to face him as Revali with a smirk on his face playfully ruffled his hair. “All this time,” he said dramatically. “And you’re still doubting my abilities?”
“Never hurts to be simply remind.”
They parted soon after. They didn’t say goodbye, never did. It seemed all too serious, and all too sad. A simple wave would cut it as Link each time left Medoh in the beautiful colors of dawn. Watching him was serene, calming even despite his heart aching, begging him not to leave and the knowledge that he was about to fight the worst of nightmares, one that was a brink away from consuming the world. As Link disappeared completely from Revali’s line of sight, he took a deep breath and murmured, “I really hope you get back.” With that, he turned to hide in Medoh.
The next thing he remembered was that, for the first time in a hundred years, he woke up. His body was terribly aching, muscles sore as if all he had been doing those years were murderous exercises. He opened his eyes with a groan; though he quickly closed them when the light of the morning sun started to burn them. He couldn’t as much stand up, he couldn’t move his wings nor his legs; it was as if he was pinned to the ground, groaning from pain. It was Link who had found him, a couple days after. The knight panicked but immediately went back to the village to get help. The Rito were more than confused when they saw Revali, but they agreed to help, not knowing that the very man that they’re nursing back to health is their beloved Champion from a century prior.
The recovery was taking months and Revali slowly but surely was getting better. “I remember being alive differently than this,” he said later followed by a cough. Link smiled and leaned back in his chair looking out at the sunset. He was trying his best to visit Revali at all times, but it was not always the easiest now with princess Zelda needing his help with rebuilding the ruined kingdom.
“I’m pretty sure that the others feel the same way you do,” Link said lightheartedly to which Revali scoffed. He wasn’t the only one who was resurrected. Mipha, Urbosa and Daruk have been all reported to be very much alive as well. He had yet to see them though, but with his (and others) current, bleak state it was simply impossible. “When you’re all be looking…” Link trailed off into thought, trying to find the perfect word as Revali was glancing at him, awaiting. “…a bit better!” he finished enthusiastically. “I will invite you to visit my house in Hateno Village.”
“Now, that’s an idea,” Revali said, both intrigued and prejudiced. He thought out loud. “I wonder if the six of us will fit.”
“I’m sure we’ll manage.” And when the time came, though not without struggle, they really did. Beds, hammocks, sleeping bags and everything in between were now littering the entirety of the house’s first floor. There were also some baggage laying around, since when the guest where to put things, Link simply shrugged with a smile saying, “Throw it wherever.” From the décor Revali thought that it was clear that the knight never really got to spend much time just to sit and think, and if he did it certainly wasn’t the place.
“Sorry for the emptiness,” said shyly princess Zelda even though nobody seemed to mind (how could they when they spent the past century living in a mechanical beast?). “I’ve been trying to get more furniture but it’s hard these days.” She has been temporarily living with Link ever since the defeat of Ganon, so she must’ve felt at least partially responsible for the guests too, Revali figured.
Being in one room with so many people felt… to say the least strange. Everyone, though trying not to show, has changed in some way but that was certainly to be expected. What stayed the same however was their unique, unbreakable bond. It was clear that each and every one of them was grateful for the way the things turned out.
Silence lingered between the six, until Link decided to speak up, scratching the back of his head. “So…” he started, now getting everyone’s attention. “Does anyone fancy a quick spiced meat and mushroom skewer?” No one (with the exception of Daruk who was granted a prime rock roast) could turn down such an offer. The Champions and Zelda were very much aware of Link’s magnificent cooking skills that could turn a simple dish like this to a culinary masterpiece as when they were all recovering, he never failed to spoil them with their favorite foods.
“You’re too good to us, Link,” said Urbosa as she finished another one of the skewers. Everyone either laughed or nodded in approval. It was slowly getting darker and they sat peacefully, warmed by a fire right in front of Link’s house. The atmosphere got more relaxed with enthusiastic conversations and jokes replaced by a comfortable silence, sometimes interrupted by a yawn. The Champions started leaving the fire one by one, muttering a ‘goodnight’ in order to go to sleep.
Revali answered lazily every single one of the goodnight’s whilst being completely invested in watching the fire burn. He was very much sure that he was the only one left until he felt a warm body quickly sit right next to him. Not expecting that he was startled very much to which Link laughed. “You want to put a man who came back from the dead back to his place?”
“Not in a million years,” Link replied a sly smile playing on his lips. Revali sighed and moved a to the side slightly, giving him space to settle. He then fidgeted for quite a bit before finding the perfect spot. Revali couldn’t be bothered anymore however as he still stared into the calming flames. Link decided to join him. “Don’t you want to sleep?” he asked, nuzzling faintly into his feathers.
“Not really, no,” it took a second for him to respond. He wrapped his wing around the smaller frame of Link, something that made the knight very happy.
Link hummed happily, putting his head on Revali’s chest. “May I make a suggestion?” As an answer, Revali put his beak at the top of his head. Link stuttered at first, clearly nervous with what he was about to say. “I was-,” he took a deep breath and stopped for a moment as if to formulate the words. “There’s this, um, place that I-I’d like to show you.”
Revali quirked his brows. “Well, go on, I’m listening.”
“The thing is,” Link shifted away from him and started gesticulating. “It’s not that far away, really, but it’s far enough that we’d have to fly there and-,” he couldn’t go on as he got caught off.
“Wait, wait,” Revali took Link’s hands into his and the blonde looked at him curiously. “Did you say… fly?” Link, stunned, only nodded in response. Revali could see that he was trying his best to figure out what was wrong with flying, as to visit him in Hateno, the Champion flew straight from Rito Village. “You’re aware that the Rito have terribly bad eyesight in the dark, right?” Link’s eyes widened and Revali couldn’t help but smile at his cluelessness. “Oh my, who would’ve thought that the mighty knight needed some school time.”
Link blushed and turned away, but soon his laugh joined Revali’s. He awkwardly scratched the back of his neck. “In that case, we can just go some other-”
“No!” Revali burst out suddenly. Realizing this, he grunted and thought of a way to explain this. “I mean- um, a little bit of adrenaline is always much appreciated in life, especially after only getting it back, right?”
Link looked at him, puzzled and skeptical. “…Right,” with the newly acquired knowledge, he wasn’t quite sure that the situation he was putting himself in was exactly safe but decided not to argue against it. “It’s only fair to fulfill a dying man’s last wish,” he said playfully to which Revali smacked his head from the back.
“I wonder who the dying man could be…” Before Link could reply with a snarkier remark, Revali got up and motioned for him to get on his back. “Come on, knight, I have a million things do to.” With that Link quickly complied and in no time Revali summoned his famous gale as they set off with the hero shouting Revali the directions and being his overall guide for the next hour or so.
It must’ve been truly tiring since the first thing Link did when they landed on the soft sandy shore of Lurelin Village was lie down, burying his face in the sand. Revali, being much less unacquainted with its texture, took time to adapt and stretch his wings after the flight. One of the first things that he noticed was that “It’s hot.”
Link lifted his face up from the sand, half of it staying on his skin. “It’s great now,” he said as he tried to get rid of the sticky sand. “It’s much worse during the day, trust me on this one.”
Revali however didn’t manage to catch the last words that Link spoken, as he had noticed something much more interesting than his voice or the temperature. His breath caught in his chest as he spoke. “It’s beautiful,” he said, completely absorbed in thought. Link, not understanding what he was on about turned his head to face him. The expression on his face was unlike whatever he’s seen before, gaze stern and focused on what was before him and Link couldn’t help but follow his gaze. The calming sound of the waves crashing against each other filled his ears as he stood up and moved to stand next to Revali.
“It really is,” admitted Link, his fingers reaching to brush against Revali’s. Despite being completely mesmerized by the sheer sight of the ocean, he reciprocated the touch. “It actually reminds me of you…”
“How come?” Revali’s eyes never left the water, whilst Link’s trailed to look at his face.
He swallowed audibly. “W-Well,” he started and Revali turned his head to face him to which in response Link panicked, shying away. “It’s really n-not that far away from where I first used your gale,” he could feel his eyes watching him intently. “The color helps too,” he quickly added and Revali chuckled.
A comfortable silence fell between the two, their hands still touching as they both went back to watching the ocean unfold before their very eyes. Revali had never felt this calm before, not even Medoh could bring him such peace, though their souls were once one and the same. But Link and Medoh were not the same. What he felt for him was different, strong and… real. And he’s come to accept it. His mind was a hurricane filled with various thoughts in that moment and yet the sudden sound of Link’s voice didn’t fail to stop them. “It’s actually my favorite place to be,” he said squeezing his hand. “I stumbled here after seeing you to process it and… it has become a habit of mine.” Revali could tell he was speaking from the bottom of his heart, and suddenly his own started to ache. “It’s become a place I visit just to… think and feel less… alone.”
Revali felt as if he was frozen even though he could tell that Link was expecting some sort of response. And yet he couldn’t speak, couldn’t move. It was only when he felt his grip loosening and breathing quicken that he managed to as much hold his hand tighter. He could feel Link first tense, then relax; perhaps it was enough for him. But certainly not for Revali.
He turned to face him and cupped his face. “Link I-,” Revali started but his wide, blue eyes, looking at him as if he was the most important thing in this world, made him lower his gaze for a moment. He swallowed audibly and looked at him again, this time truly confident.
“I love you.”
The words hanged in the air and for a brink of a moment Revali’s whole life flashed before his eyes as he regretted saying those words, knowing that it would never be possible for someone like Link to love him. He panicked and wanted to run away but before he could as much as turn, Link’s voice echoed in his mind.
“I love you too,” he admitted with tears in his eyes and suddenly Revali noticed his own water. Link couldn’t take it anymore as he buried his face in his chest, sobbing uncontrollably. Revali instinctively wrapped his wings around him, pulling him closer and letting his own tears fall.
It really was beautiful; two lonely people finding happiness in each other as the sun rose behind them.
Another A/N: Thank you so much for reading, I hope you have the best of days!

Hey Stegg! I’m going around to some of my writer mutuals/favorite fic writers and asking about their favorite works! Just to spread a little fic writer hype :) Tell us about the best fic you’ve written and why it’s kickass! This could include anything, from developmental fun facts, to character stuff, to your writing process, to thematic-weaving coolness. Have at it! :D
I still think of myself as fairly new in this space, and while I try to write and post regularly, I definitely don’t have a big body of work just yet. I also don’t know if I’m a good judge of my own work. I did have a crappy relationship with my stats last summer, but I’ve mostly gotten over it and I really do try to write things that I want to write, so most of my stuff is pretty self indulgent.
Like. I did creative writing in high school, and undergrad, but it got set aside hard for a long time as I turned skills I had to written debates on blog posts and forums. I came to fic writing without much clue what to do-my studies were sciences and a lot of them, and whatever English classes I took were pretty much minimal. I did love to read, and I read a lot, but if you asked me how stories worked I really could not tell you very well. I still can’t. I recognize that I probably soaked up how I liked story arcs to go, and I knew when I felt cheated or baited and switched (looking at you, LOST and Game of Thrones) but I definitely feel like the dumb kid when I’m somewhere watching people talk about the nuts and bolts of things. So we are gonna go on about my favorite thing I’ve written, because it’s also almost all I’ve written.
So my favorite thing I’ve written is still Uneasy Lies the Chosen of Farore. When I started to really fixate on the Legend of Zelda, I first sought out fan art, and there’s so much gorgeous art. Art led to fic. I hadn’t read fanfic since the 90s when I was obsessing over The X Files.
I particularly liked how flexible canon seemed to be in the fandom. The story goes that the hero and the incarnation of Hylia reincarnate repeatedly, and not all of them got to be a game, right? That idea was so exciting. Surely, at some point, they were adults, maybe older adults, maybe characters I could relate to a bit better than teenagers. So I looked, and the best I could do was finding them in their early, maybe mid 20s. This was frustrating to me and I spent a lot of time wondering if I would be worthy, should I stumble upon a sword with a blue hilt and a strangely flipped cross guard and I decided that I was a lot more worthy than I would have been at sixteen or twenty-five and from there it was a pretty short journey to imagining what it would be like to take that hilt, and that’s pretty much the first chapter.
I’ve written about how the rest of the story came to be before, so I’ll try to not retread that ground. At the time this was going on, I was still sorting out a pretty turbulent and awful period of my own life, and while I was mostly on the other side, I was also still trying to fit it into the rest of my life and I dealt with a lot of it through that story. I half joke sometimes that this version of Link is very much a self insert. I feel like a lot of readers pick up on the parent stuff. But there’s other stuff too, because when I decided to turn my thousand word scene into an 88k fic, I decided to use the overall arc of the previous four or five years as a scaffold to hang stuff on.
I’m not gonna delve into personal stuff for me other than broad strokes. I think I generally made better choices in my life, for example, than Link does, but it did take a therapist to help me see why I made some choices the way I did. The Great Deku Tree and Impa both say things to Link that were said to me. Zelda does as well at some point. Each time that happens he does take a minute to think on it and changes a little bit, so that by the time he is at the end of the story, the guy he was at the beginning might not recognize him.
People often comment that they find this Link and Zelda very relatable and I’m glad they do. In the games, Link is supposed to be the slate your write your experience on as you go. He is supposed to just be an extension of the player, maybe more so in Breath of the Wild which was my intro to the franchise. I really love the journey he goes on from realizing he is a pretty hot mess, and how much his shit is not as together as he assumed, though he needed a big event to change things out of his control to see it, to where is much more emotionally grown up and has found a soft place to land with people he loves who love him back on equal footing.
I recognize my little AU seems a little weird at first, but I’ve enjoyed playing in it enough that I also ended up writing a series of side fics for it, and I still think about what might have happened before and after the sword, that I suspect there will probably be more. It’s definitely a work I’m really proud of, and it also helped bring me into a community of people I really like, too.
The art I commissioned for this fic is making rounds on Tumblr again today, for some reason. Someone reblogged it and a bunch of other people saw it for the first time. I like to think when someone reblog sit out of the blue it means than maybe they went and had a read, and I like having that thought. I’m glad I brought this thing into the world. 2020 sucked pretty hard but this fic probably would not exist if it hadn’t.
Thank you, @kittmoon for the ask. I really do like to talk about that fic.

Ten Favorite Female Characters
I was tagged by @midnight-in-town, so now I have to show them how much I love my favorite women.
Name your favorite female characters from 10 different Fandoms and tag 10/or the amount you wish people
Tagging: @hamliet @amonmahboi @inumaqi @thyandrawrites @kaibutsushidousha  @harostar.. yeah, I don’t know ten people.
Tumblr media
Enoshima Junko
“Hope is harmony. A just heart, moving toward the light. That is all. Despair is hope's polar opposite. It is messy and confusing. It swallows up love, hatred, and everything else.”
Junko wishes she was a psychopath. She’s spent her entire life pretending to be a crazy psychopath, because living that life is just so much more interesting than the one she’s stuck in. Enoshima Junko is just too smart for the world, and everything is too easy for her, and rather than try to dumb herself down a little bit she’s decided to knock everything else down. She’s a girl kicking down sandcastles because building them out of sand all alone is no longer doing it for her.
Junko’s interesting because of the weird logic and loops she runs her brain into. There’s a complex character behind the whole “I exist only to spread despair” thing. She’s perfectly capable of forming emotional attachments to people, and genuinely caring. But the people she likes are generally far worse off than the ones she doesn’t care about.
Junko wants so badly to, just not be human. She does the most inhuman things possible to prove that she’s not human. What really made me love her is the lengths she’s willing to go, to the point in Dangan Ronpa Zero where she basically took a screw to her own brain and started acting like a normal girl only when all of her memories were removed.
Junkos relationship with Matsuda shows two conflicting sides of her character. How much she's humanized by her love of him,  and also how much she wants to completely destroy that part of herself. It's like she physically can't be a normal girl. Or rather she doesn’t want to be to such extremes she’ll break everything and then herself.
And if she can’t be normal than Junko decided that self destruction is her next best bet. There’s just nothing that will satisfy Junko, and it’s interesting to watch someone that empty decide the world is going to end, or she’s going to end herself and she doesn’t really care which.
Tumblr media
Ajimu Najimi
“Call to me with affection, Anshin’in-san. Well, I don’t really care what manga characters call me.”
Hey, I put Junko on this list twice. Both Ajimu and Junko live in a world that is too easy for them, and therefore they have no reason to get emotionally invested in others or try to attach themselves to anything. Which is why it’s fun to see Ajimu attempt the same thing as Junko to kill herself in style and eventually get saved from herself.
Medaka Box is such a meaningful manga to me because they take the weirdest characters and no matter how deranged they are they find the parts of them that are relatable and go, well guess what you’re human too. Ajimu literally calls herself a non-human and she’s just as human as all the rest in the end.
The best part is it’s not her good points that make her human, it’s all her flaws. It’s easy to feel like the world isn’t real, that nothing in the world is worth living for, to feel no emotional attachment. Those are all human emotions. Not because they’re good and shining, but because they’re petty and terrible. Ajimu is this brilliant character, but she’s also kind of just a petty little girl using a ‘fiction is reality’ lens to cope. She’s not that special actually, she’s just suicidal, and kind of awful in general. It’s nice to see that human side behind the mastermind character.
Tumblr media
Azula
“My own mother thought I was a monster. She was right of course but it still hurts.”
Azula is someone thoroughly dehumanized by everyone even the “good” members of her family (Uncle Iroh, Zuko, her Mother). I like how Azula in some part seems to be aware that both her brother, and mother seem to kind of consider her the “bad sibling” and she just decides to embrace it. Like it’s... not emotionally healthy in any way and it’s terribly tragic but there’s something about characters who actively make the decision to be a monster that gets me.
There’s something about Azula’s writing that makes me uncomfortable, and it makes me sad that Zuko like... continually associates her with his father’s abuse, and demonizes her like she wasn’t also a kid going through the exact same situation, but Azula getting increasingly unstable is at least an appropriate response to that.
Even if her brother, her mother, or her father won’t see her as her own person and they all see her as an extension of her father’s abuse on her, Azula is just so determined to be her own person even if it means burning the world, or herself A common theme I guess, but a lot of these characters have narratives about not being allowed to be their own person or shown any kind of humanity or normalcy.
Tumblr media
Morrigan
“Well, well, well what do we have here?”
Morrigan is mean, and nasty, and grumpy and bitchy and witchy. She’s allowed to be unlikable, because Morrigan never bends to anyone. Her survival, and freedom will become first before anything else.
It feels like Morrigan is the main character in her own story, and you just happen to be a part of it for a short while. You may even be an important character to her, she may be attached, but ultimately you’ll never be more than support to her.
Morrigan is such an ambitious an singular entity that her character development is letting you be a part of her life and not the other way around. She'll always survive on her own.  Morrigan is irrevocably shaped by her environemnt, and yet she craves freedom in that too because she doesn’t want to be bound by her past or shaped by her mother. So much of herself is dedicated to being better than the environment that she was raised in that she defeats her mother not by killing her, or freeing herself, but rather by being a better mother than her.
Tumblr media
Raven / Rachel Roth
“Azarath, Metrion, Zinthos...”
Raven is fun, because a bunch of monks thought the best way to teach her to handle her emotions was to never allow her to feel any emotion ever. So, Raven is eternally running on a zero. She’s terrified even a small amount of happiness will end the world. She’s not allowed to be her own person, neither her bastard father, nor the monks treat her like one.
Raven is so gentle, and selfless, and emotionally perceptive and sensitive to others needs but she can’t ever display almost any of these good traits because she’s internalized the idea that she’s such a bad person. She always believes all the time that she exists to hurt others and that makes it so difficult for her to connect to others.
Which is why her true friends bond with the Teen Titans is so meaningful, because Rachel found a family in spite of all of that. She has friends who think she’s a good person unconditionally despite the fact that Raven continually tells herself she isn’t. There are people in the world willing to navigate the maze of walls that Raven has built around herself, and that her environment forced her to build and closed up, and she’s so happy to have them.
Tumblr media
Midna
“Some call our realm a world of shadows, but that makes it sound so unpleasant... The twilight there holds a serene beauty... You have seen it yourself as the sun sets on this world. Bathed in that light, all the people were pure and gentle...”
Midna just steals the show. Her story now. The game’s not called Legend of Zelda anymore now it’s Legend of Midna. Not only is she the most important character in the game she appears in, but she’s also in character someone so selfish she’ll always prioritize herself over everyone else. However, only because she feels that she can’t exist as anything other than the princess of the twilight and has to prioritize her survival for the sake of her people. Midna even says so at the start of the game, she can’t be kind because she wasn’t spoiled like princess Zelda in the bountiful kingdom of the light.
Midna is so selfish and yet doesn’t really have her own wants and needs as a person outside of the role she has to play for her people, which is why she’s so terribly lost without it and just because this terrible selfish little gremlin. Link and Zelda affect Midna so much because they humanize her. They both sacrifice themselves to save Midna the person and she doesn’t get why. She doesn’t get why two people would help someone who has been so unkind to them and who has failed them this much so far.
That act of selflessness moves her, and also freaks her out. She even says she didn’t want to be saved by either of them. Which is what makes her redemption in the second half of the game so interesting, because Midna really improves herself so she can become someone worth their kindness. She doesn’t want the selflessness of people like Zelda and Link to go to waste, and because of that begins to care about things outside of her kingdom and her role as princess
Tumblr media
Vriska Serket
“After all of this is over. Do you want to go on a d8?”
Unfortunately one of my top 3 favorite characters of all time comes from a really terrible source material. Vriska is everything I like in a character.  She's a mess. She's really hard to swallow. She's a character that's not meant to be liked.
Nobody really likes Vriska and it's all her fault for being such a horrible person, nobody wants her damage. Which is so interesting because usually main characters get forgiven over and over again. Everyone leaves and if they don't Vriska will burn those bridges herself. No character better embodies what it's like to be stuck in a self harming cycle
Authors are always so obsessed with making characters look good or showing what a good person they are few characters are allowed to be just plain unlikely in ugly ways. It’s what lets Vriskas genuine desire to be better actually seem like a struggle.
Tumblr media
Kocho Shinobu
“Are you angry? Yes, I’m angry Tanjiro. I’ve always been angry.”
Shinobu is just all pleasantries on the surface, but so full of negative emotions in ways women aren't allowed to be. I love the medicine / poison dynamic to her character and how it rots her to the core. Too much medicine is a poison, while poison can be a medicine when applied to the right situation.
Shinobu is, two faced. She’s beautiful and kind, and full of ugly emotions and empty. She nurses people back from the dead, she sees no point in living herself and purposefully throws herself into a suicide in her plan against Doma. There’s just such a destructive dance between extremes for her because Shinobu is such a unique individual, trying to deal with all of these emotions she just can’t deal with. She can’t be noble, or better than her trauma, she just pretends to be a good person while she slowly rots away inside.
Shinobu can put on smiles all day -
But she can't be like her sister.  She can't love people like her sister can. Maybe she could once but all that's left now is anger. Bitter, unpleasant, and completely in denial of it and still masquerading as a good person. The most beautiful kind of poison of all.
She’s not her sister, but she’s also not really her own person. She doesn’t know who Shinobu is, doesn’t know who Kocho Shinobu lives for. She just doesn’t imagine herself living past her revenge, and even though she’s surrounded by love she’s just so cracked it all pours out of her and absolutely nothing could be worth prolonging her life after everything she’s lost.
Tumblr media
Toga Himiko
“What exactly is a normal life? I also live a normal life, you know.”
Himiko Toga is a girl who lives entirely on her own terms. Which is just so rare for a female character, you know? It’s so genuinely subversive to know that Himiko was once a nice girl, who always smiled, always put other people’s feelings first, and that sort of ‘good girl’ behavior drove her completely insane.
Toga deciding to be true to herself is an act of rebellion against the world.
For Himiko everything is flipped. What others regard as psycho behavior is her normal. She doesn’t let other people define her story as a tragedy, and even murders the one person who tries to control her story. In a story where female characters constantly downplay their own importance to support the male characters Himiko is the only character important enough to be the center of her own story. Himiko’s story is so subversive as well, both of how society treats her, and how the story treats characters like her.
Himiko is such an excellent yandere, all yanderes wish they were himiko. She comes off as this batshit stabby girl,  but then you find out that shes actually emotionally perceptive. She first comes off selfish, bratty, and self-centered but she turns into one of the most sensitive characters in the manga. She eschews the ideals of being a good girl that was forced down her throat, but that doesn’t mean she’s not empathic, or that she’s not capable of goodness. She’s good to twice. She’s good to the people who accept her.
Himiko no matter what will always be a deviant. Always be an outsider. Instead of trying to make room for her her parents forced her to lie and wear a mask until her identity became completely shattered. I like Toga because under the knife wielding psycho she's a normal girl. Then under that normal girl there’s also a knife wielding psycho ready to fight back, and both of them are the real her.
Tumblr media
Ihei Hairu
“I saw the reaper, he was very beautiful.”
Every character from the garden is just fundamentally broken.  Hairu and Rize are interesting foils, because if you think of about it a loveless childhood turned them both into ruthless killers. It’s just they decided to live for different things, Rize lived rejecting love and Hairu lived chasing after love. However, fundamentally they are the same. They are children starved for any kind of love or nurturing.  Hairu is so desperate she devotes her entire life to the first person who acknowledged her. However, the same sort of desperation to live, that tragic need to make the most out of the few short years they have exists in all garden children.
Hairu wants so badly to be a person, but she’s not a person. She’s half ghoul.
There's just something about a girl who was never meant to be born and never meant to live, still trying.  There's a dark side to her character, she's violent and inhuman exactly like the environment she was raised in but she was also still a child at heart seeking love.
Which is why though her narrative is a thoroughly unhappy one, it does make me happy that there was someone who loved her in the form of Koori Ui. There is someone who wanted her to live longer. Her life was short, but she did live, and it’s that struggle to connect to others that made her truly alive.

it’s all downhill from here - Chapter Three
Fandom: Legend of Zelda, Linked Universe, Harry Potter (very loosely)
Rating: Teens and Up
Warnings: Some blood
Summary:
The first Hogsmeade weekend of the year is supposed to be one filled with excitement and mischief for every student at Hogwarts, even the first and second years who aren’t allowed to go down to the village.
Except of course, the group of heroes are involved, and nothing goes right for them.
Ao3 link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/23111011/chapters/55296445
As soon as the shack was in sight, Legend found the closest tree stump and sat down, crossing his arms and ignoring Wild and Hyrule’s shouts of excitement, Warrior’s side glances as he kept an eye on their friends to make sure they didn’t get themselves killed, and the way that the wind whistled a familiar song into his ears to comfort him.
A childish mind will turn to noble ambition,
Young love will become deep affection.
Time passes, people move... Like a river's flow, it never ends...
In the past seven years I've watch you heroes grow
And now I have nothing left to say
Except that it's dangerous to go alone.
The hat’s words echoed back in Legend’s mind, something that had been a recurring thing in the past month.
Every year the sorting hat would tell a prophecy of the school year to come. That was just how it was. Normally, it would predict if it was going to be a good year for the students, if there was going to be a dramatic scandal or an exciting event that people should keen an eye out for.
But things just couldn’t be normal for anyone who had the name Link, could it? Instead of any of those sorts of predictions, the hat gave them warning of an impending war against the Demon God and barely enough clues to survive until the next year.
And just when they needed the hat the most, when they needed the most guidance that they have ever needed in their lives (because goddess forbid that his mother helps out in any way, shape, or form) it just turns around and tells them that there is nothing left to say. How stupid! And he thought that the hat calling him a dreamer in first year was bad, this is the worst thing it has ever said in its entire existence.
He hated it because it was no help to him, but he hated it more because it knew. It knew that he was planning to run off during the Hogwarts year, when everyone was busy with their schoolwork and their social groups and their petty teenage problems. It knew that he was going to feel too restless, too useless, sat at Hogwarts learning spells he already knew and theory that was pointless at this point.
Except that it’s dangerous to go alone.
But he couldn’t stay. He needed to find the shrine maidens, he needed to find the shrines. Sure, they had found some of them, but not all of them, not enough. Demise was not going to wait around until the hero he was destined to fight finished his education, in fact, if he was Demise, the earlier he picked his fight the better, as that would increase his chances of winning, which made staying around an even worse idea.
If they stuck around, he might attack the castle, and for as much as he did not agree with his mother and some of his sisters, he has hurt them enough times. Legend wouldn’t stand for any more of it.
“C’mon Legend! Stop being a sourpuss and explore with us! You’re really good at finding things,” Hyrule called to him, and Legend rolled his eyes.
“If you were looking for something then you should have brought Sky along. I’ve heard that Hufflepuff are very good finders,” Legend said as he stood up and joined Hyrule with whatever he was looking for. Wild and Warriors were edging each other to get closer and closer to the Shrieking Shack, egging each other on, and Legend didn’t want anything to do with their stupidity. There was no way that it was haunted, but on the off chance that it was, Legend wanted to stay away from it. He was so over ghosts.
“But then it’s no fun if he’s able to find something straight away,” Hyrule said, before giving a small smile to Legend, “Besides, you’re better at knowing if something will be useful later on or not, if we do find anything that is.” Legend let out a sigh as he followed Hyrule deeper into the woods but making sure that Warriors and Wild were within their sight, not wanting to get lost with Hyrule in the forest.
“What are we looking for anyways?” Legend asked, frowning when Hyrule looked away from him, seemingly looking at the ground for animal tracks.
“Something called a Blupee.”
“What the hell is a Blupee?” Legend asked as Hyrule dragged him deeper into the woods, which made Legend weary. Any deeper and they would be in the Forbidden Forest, and while it was not as dangerous as the Lost Woods, they were still dangerous enough for Legend to be weary of the steps he takes and have a hand ready to grab his wand. He was not about to die to a octorock because Hyrule was more focused on a creature that might not even exist.
“It looks like a blue glowing rabbit but it has a weird owl face and like six eyes.” Hyrule explained as he pulled Legend into a crouch and
“A glowing blue rabbit?” Legend asked, unimpressed, but he still couldn’t help the smile that came to his face when Hyrule got excited and began to explain how Wild had said that he had spotted them when he had gone into the forest last year and how they were supposed to be good luck.
Legend listened to his rant uninterrupted for almost five minutes before Hyule inexplicitly cuts himself off, before digging into his bad, breaking the silence that he had spent to long trying to create.
“What’s wrong?” Legend asked as Hyrule opened a small book.
“We need to get back to the others. They’re in trouble.”
“Who’s Zant?” Wind asked, trying to look underneath the table to be dragged back up Four while Twilight fiddled with the tablecloth so that it would hide his legs properly while still giving him a view of the bar. Zant was still talking with the barmaid, and they seemed to be having a very deep conversation.
“You know the person who just walked in? He’s currently talking to the woman behind the bar, but don’t make it obvious that you’re looking.” The background noise seemed to fade away at Twilight’s words as he captivated the rest of the table, the two younger boys now having their full attention on Twilight.
“The weirdo with pale skin, red hair and an awful choice in cloth- Ouch, why did you kick me!?” Wind exclaimed, his voice breaking as Four’s foot connected with his shin.
“Any louder and you’re gonna give him a free invite to come over,” Four muttered, his book still open on the table but now completely abandoned.
“That’s the person who’s currently in charge of the Twili,” Twilight whispered, grimacing as his voice carried further than he planned.
“I thought Midna was working on that?” Four asked as he flipped a page in his book, though if anyone who actually looked at him would notice that his focus was more on the wand that laid out on his lap.
“It’s a work in progress.”
“Okay, but why are you hiding underneath a table?” It was easy with how Wind fit in with the group to forget how young he was, and how he completely missed sharing the school with Zant and the utter chaos that Twilight and Midna brought to the school in their first year. To be fair, Four was also not at the school at the time, but that boy seemed to be able to find out anything on anyone and it brought fear to Twilight that Zant could only wish to do.
"Because he's also working for Demise, and I may have ruined some pretty big plans in first year. According to Midna, he still holds a grudge." Twilight said, his legs beginning to burn slightly at how he was crouching underneath the table. He desperately wanted to just stand up and stretch, or even turn into a wolf, but he knew that his wolf form would not fit underneath the table and the second that Zant saw him there would be trouble. They had all agreed earlier this week that they wouldn't cause any funny business today, that they would try and have a normal day. Was that too much for them to ask for?
"Oh... This is bad." Wind said as he stuffed some of his sweets into his mouth as he looked above Four's bent head, before swallowing hard and whispering "I should have just stayed up at the castle."
"Yeah you should have," Four grumbled, "But you would be complaining about missing out on the action if you had, so this does save us from listening to your complaining later."
"Okay, so what's the plan? What do we do?" Wind asked.
"Pretend that I'm not currently hiding underneath the table, but you guys should probably have your wands ready, just in case." Twilight instructed, ignoring the fact that Four had had his wand out in his lap ever since Twilight decided to dive down underneath the table. "Do not attack unless he starts it," he added on, mainly for Wind, who was always a bit too trigger happy for Twilight's comfort.
"Uh..."
"Uh?" Twilight asked, not liking the way that Four gripped his wand tighter and the sudden shakiness in Wind's leg.
"I hope you’re comfortable underneath that table, because he's making his way over." Four answered as he decided to put his book into his bag and pull out a small book and a self-inking quill. “Wind, leave the talking to me okay.” The other boy nodded.
They lulled into a heavy silence as they allowed the noise of the pub wash over them, the people around them seemingly unaware of growing situation in the background. Twilight's legs were now burning, and he had to hold back his impulse to just jump up from underneath the booth and just attack Zant straight up. But he knew if he did, not only would he get into trouble with his professors, but he would never hear the end of Legend and Warrior's rant about 'reckless Gryffindors'. He held his breath as he spotted some boots came into his vision, stopping only a couple of feet away from his hiding spot, but that was still too close to Four and WInd.
"I don't suppose any of you would know where Link is?" Zant's raspy voice was barely noticeable over the volume, but it still managed to rattle against Twilight's eardrums.
“Which one?" Four asked as he completely ignoring Zant as he continued on with his writing. Why he decided now was a good time to be writing an essay or whatever Twilight wouldn't know. The Ravenclaw always managed to confuse him, just as he thought he knew him as well.
"'Which one?'"
“I’m not sure if you’ve heard, probably not because by the looks of you it's been years since you were at Hogwarts, but there are at least a couple of Link’s at the school. Last I checked there was, like, five? But that’s when I decided to give up counting, and that was a couple years ago, so who knows how many there are now.” Four said nonchalantly, his quill scratching loudly against his parchment, and mixed in with Wind's continuous chewing, it made Twilight's ears grate.
What was Four doing?
"Well, I'm sure you know the Link I'm looking for, after all, the lovely barmaid did point me at your direction." It was hard to hear Zant over Four's writing, almost impossible, as with every word Zant said the louder the quill against the parchment became. Twilight frowned as he placed a hand on Wind's leg, trying to calm the younger down.
"I really don't, it's just the pair of us, and we don’t really answer to Link," Four said, still not looking at Zant. Wind nodded vigorously with the statement.
"I was told that there were three of you," Zant needed to leave. There was only so long Twilight was willing to wait before he decided to just try and make a run for it. He did want to be able to feel his legs tomorrow.
"There's not. Even if there was another one of us, I doubt that he would be able to help find this 'Link', especially since you haven't told us which Link you're looking for," Wind joined in, surprising everyone at his sudden contribution, but maybe the amount of sugar had finally calmed the Hufflepuff's nerves.
"You're looking for a Link? Maybe I'll be able to help?" Never before had Twilight been relieved hear Time's voice. If Time was here, it meant that he could distract Zant long enough for him to escape and hide, or maybe if he was lucky he would be able to convince Zant to leave peacefully. But he got a feeling that neither of those things would happen.
"Oh. Link. Long time no see," Was it just Twilight or was the background noise beginning to dim around them? Nevertheless, Twilight crouched lower, his wand now held loosely in his hand as he prepared to make an escape, a number of curses on his lips, just in case, watching people's legs and wondering which way out he was going to have to make.
"Now that you've found Link, can you leave? I've got work to do," Four muttered as he somehow began to write louder. Twilight was going to snap that quill by the end of this.
"He's not the right Link and you know it!" Zant shouted, and the sound of the pub went completely silent.
"One last chance. Tell me where Link is!" Waiting it out was clearly not going to work, and Twilight hated that he couldn’t assess the situation properly, his view of the bar and Zant’s feet giving him no hints as to what he should do next.
"Put your wand down, and maybe we'll talk," Sky replied, and yeah, that made sense as to why the building was acting like a silencing charm had been placed on them.
"Ava-"
"Locomotor Mortis!" Twilight shouted as he started off in a run, briefly seeing Time and Sky's surprise on his face as he dashed out of the pub, ducking as he ran through the door and grimacing as he watched a red spell hit the door frame next to him. He felt bad for completely abandoning the others in the pub, but he still had the shadow crystal around his neck, like he promised Midna he didn't let it out of his sight. As soon as he was on the street he didn't have time to think about where he would go next as he took in the scene around him. It seemed that the people that Zant had brought with him had taken Zant trying to throw a spell, or being cursed himself, as a sign to start an attack on Hogsmeade.
Along with Twili throwing spells at students, teachers and civilian alike, there were a group of bokoblins and a moblin on the edge of the villiage, but it seemed that the rest of their group were on the case, having come across the group of monsters on their way back from the shrieking shack. Which made no sense because he swore the Shrieking Shack was almost a mile away from the village, so there was no way that they would have known or heard about the attack unless they were warned ahead of time or they had decided to head back early, and having Hyrule and Wild in that group made the latter option very unlikely. Despite this fact, Twilight ran up the monsters and started his own volley of attacks, because Wild was still very reckless and often left his back open. They were going to have to sort that out soon if Wild wanted to continue to fight with them.
"Oh hey Twilight!" Wild smiled at him before taking a quick look around at what they were dealing with. Most of the Twili were being fought against the teachers and some of the elder students, Linkle was always terrifying to watch fight after all, but it seemed that everyone had silently agreed to let the Links fight the monsters that had appeared out of nowhere. Because why not, Twilight guessed it was sometime to do with the display that they put on last year when the monsters attacked the castle, but that was never a good excuse.
Twilight threw up a shield as he ran up to Warriors, while Wind legged it to the closest tree, climbing it with speed that Twilight knew that he would never be able to find in another wizard or witch. Legend and Hyrule were just a distance away, but were completely surrounded by lightning and ice, so Twilight was going to leave them to whatever they were doing, elemental magic was never his strong suit.
"Heard Zant was looking for you!" Warriors grinned as he continued his volley of spells, a mix of controlled flames and precise cuts, leaving Twilight to cast shield after shield as the horde of bokoblins continued to try and break through them with their clubs and broken swords. Spelled clubs and broken swords. They shouldn't be able to go through his shields as fast as they were.
"How did you hear about that?" Twilight asked.
"Some weird book that Hyrule and Four have. Can send messages or something."
"Convenient." Twilight muttered as he and Warrior's managed to get through the horde of bokoblins just as Legend and Hyrule finished with their light show, the last of the stragglers being taken down by Wild in his tree, leaving only the moblin to deal with.
"How are we doing this?" Legend asked as he and Hyrule ran to meet up with the other two, making sure to dodge the moblin's swinging spear. Warriors went to speak, he was the person who could come up with the best plan in the least amount of time, but before he could say anything, the moblin took another look at them before turning around and going back to the village.
“What the hell?” Hyrule said. “I’ve never seen a moblin walk away from a fight like that before.”
“What are we waiting for? We need to go after it!” Legend growled as he started running after it, leaving the others to have to chase him.
“Maybe if we’re lucky I can take a couple of stabs at Zant before he disappears,” Warriors muttered
“Not if I get there first,” Wild said, his smile looking was too feral looking to sit comfortably with Twilight, especially knowing Wild’s nature to just explode things.
“No explosions Wild,” Twilight muttered as they finally met up with Legend and the moblin. Taking a second to take in the situation, Legend frowned at how little progress he had made on the mobin whiek the others had cought up with them. That wasn’t him putting Legend down, in fact, if anyone has the most experience in the group with fighting monsters, Legend would be the first person in Twilight’s mind.
But even with his ice rod in hand, the moblin was being difficult to kill. It was not surprising to struggle against thirty bokoblins, even if they did fall to one swipe of a want, but moblins, while much bigger and stronger than bokoblins, could easily be taken on in a group of three or even four if the person knew what they were doing. And yet, it seemed that no matter what Legend threw at the monster, nothing seemed to be hitting it.
Twilight only just managed to get to the younger Slytherin in time to throw up a shield to save his stomach from being pieced from here’s spear.
“Do you have a death wish? We can help you if you just let us you know,” Twilight moaned as he started to throw piercing curses at the moblin while Legend held on the defensive.
“Would you shut it? I’ve already got Warriors on my case, go look after Wild,” Legend replid, using his ice rod to freeze the floor underneath the moblin, but it didn’t seem to be having an effect on the monster like Legend planned, as it decided to slip and go through the pub’s wall.
Inside the building that Twilight had escaped from looked more of a mess than the rest of the attacked village, tables overturned and chairs tossed to the side, and now that there was a nice big hole in the wall, the people trapped in the building were able to escape, including a frazzled Wind and a nice cut on his forehead and a calm Four, his book still in his hand and his quill thankfully snapped into two pieces. Sky and Time were holding up pretty well against Zant, but they could not hold his attention as the Twili spotted him.
Zant wasn’t able to properly react to seeing Twilight however, as everything was thrown into a blaze.
“What did I say about explosions!” Twilight screamed as he threw up a shield for him Wind and Four.
“I’ll say sorry when the explosion doesn’t save your life!” Wild yelled back as he summoned his bow, shooting towards the moblin’s feet and giving Warriors the opening he needed to finally attack the moblin’s head, leaving it to roll on the floor for a hot second before it quickly rotted before their eyes, leaving a mess of black blood.
Twilight turned back towards Time and Sky, only to see the person that they had been fighting had disappeared.
Hogsmeade was now oddly silent. Uncomfortably so. What was supposed to be a fun day for the students was ruined by the group of Links and their awful ability to attract trouble.
“Why is it, that whenever something happens, I always find you boys in the centre of it all?” The group turned to see their transfiguration teacher. Impa had a small cut on her cheek and was covered in dust, not doubt from Wild’s earlier explosion, but the glare that struck into everyone’s soul was much scarier than the battle that had just taken place. It was weird to think that such an old woman would be able to put up such a fight, but after the display she pulled off last year, well, it was easy to say that no one in their group would be underestimating her any time soon.
“Trust me, I found myself asking that question every single day,” Four replied, getting an agreement from the rest of the group.
“Hmm. Well, from what I could gather, you boys were also the ones who sustained the most injuries, the worst I’ve heard was a broken bone from Groose, but I guess that’s what happens when you all run head first into danger,” She said as she watched Wild pass a potion to Twilight and Hyrule mending the deep gash that Warriors sustained before Twilight had reached him, before turning to Wind.
“You best get back to the castle before I see you Outset. The detention I’ll set if I catch you outside the castle walls without permission can be quite harsh, I’m sure the others can tell you all about their past experiences with it.” She stated before turning away from the group to talk to one of the villagers about how best to fix the village.
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Wind asked before receiving a light blow to the head from Twilight.
“You’re a second year, you’re not supposed to be in Hogsmeade remember!” Twilight reminded him, his arms crossed in a way that was supposed to be a parent, but no one in their group had a proper parental figure in their life, but it was hard for Wind to take him seriously when he knew about the things that t he rest of the group had gotten into when they were his age.
“Oh yeah, I’ll meet you guys back at the castle then!” Wind said as he scampered off, but not before Hyrule handed him a potion with strict instructions to drink it and make sure he made it back to the castle safely.
“They’re getting braver,” Warriors noted as they watched Wind run into the crowd of confused and scared students.
“Getting stronger more like. I don’t know about you guys, but I can normally take on a couple of moblins by myself without breaking a sweat, but it took half of us working together to even take down one,” Legend pointed out.
“They all had black blood, like the ones during the summer,” Four muttered as he took a closer inspection of the ground, scooping up some of the blood into an empty vial and placing it into his robe’s pocket.
“That would be the malice, which only shows that Demise is growing stronger,” Wild said.
“That’s nothing new. He’s been growing stronger since most of us were learning to walk.” Sky muttered, his experience from the year previously coming to his mind.
“But he’s never been strong enough to help monsters to this extent before.” Twilight said.
“It’s not just the monsters. Don’t get me wrong, Zant is stupid, but not stupid enough to attack Twilight in public if he didn’t think he was going to get away with killing him.” Time added.
“If they’re going to target Twilight, who’s not to say that another one of us is next?” Hyrule said as he crossed his arms. “We’re very lucky that no one was hurt badly today, but can we say that for next time.”
“Then time is of the essence. We cannot continue to let this happen.”
“And what are we going to do? We can’t do anything while we’re suck at Hogwarts! We’ll be sitting cucoos!” Legend almost screamed at Warriors, the others jumping back in surprise at the sudden emotion from the boy. However, Warriors only smiled down at his housemate.
“Who said anything about staying at Hogwarts?”

Link’s Knighthood pt. 2
So one thing I have noticed in this fandom especially as I fall deeper into the rabbit hole that is linked universe, one thing that I generally notice is that people forget Link was a knight before he was appointed as Zelda’s personal knight. He wasn’t just a random kid who picked up a pot lid and deflected a guardian laser. No he was a knight, who came from a family of knights ( please see this headcanon where i talk about Link’s father being the personal knight for Zelda’s mother, and his journey to knighthood ).
So lets get into the meat of this headcanon. First lets just touch on the basics, and I want to say while I have it he becomes a knight at 18 in my linked headcanon above, I am going to go back on that and say he is knighted at a much younger age. The reason being is that he is a Captain of the Royal Guard, which not only are they like knights on steroids, but he is captain.
So I say he is around twelve when he pulls the master sword from its pedestal in the Korok Forest. I don’t want to pin his age down to any distinct number but he is no older than twelve and no younger than eight when he pulls the master sword. Either way you look at it, as a boy who is training to be a knight ( which i will get into ) that is still very young. The thing about Wild is everything happens to him when he is too young. Yes we have had young heroes before such as Link in Windwaker and in Ocarina of Time. We have also had Links who are knights before most notably from Hyrule Warriors. The difference with Link from Breath of the Wild in my opinion is that he had his path set for him much earlier than prior Links.
Its not uncommon for young boys to be pages, and preteens to be squires in medieval times, which Zelda games are clearly based on. In fact its pretty much the norm for non-noble families and noble families alike who had aspirations for their sons to be knights. Link coming from a family of knights is one of the few reasons he as able to get such a high rank, regardless of age. While non-nobles could become knights they were never treated the same as noble knights, save for those who made a name for themselves, like Link’s father. I would like to add my linked headcanon implies why Zelda is able to talk about Link’s father in a more intimate way and it is because she knew him. Link’s father was high enough in rank that he traveled to Zora’s domain and the royalty there saw no issue with Link and Mipha playing together.
Moving on in my linked headcanon above I state that Link becomes a knight at age 18, which I am changing now. I had it that way because I wanted him to have the normal knight experience, but learning he became Captain of the Guard well, I gotta adjust. So Link was knighted incredibly young, at the age he pulled the Master Sword. It was in that that some knights and soldiers resented him. He was breaking rules and protocol not that Link cared at all, he did but he is a silent hero so he’s not going to share that burden with anyone, but Link was getting to be a knight.
Being a knight has been all that Link has thought about. Even as a kid before he was a page, running around the woods play fighting with things, he has always had that drive. Did he become a knight to early, yes. Did that affect him, yes. It affected him because as soon as he pulled the sword, his wild nature was subdued. He took on a burden of the scrutiny of the world silently, not wanting anyone else to feel that burden. It made Zelda hate him, especially as his vow only increased when he was appointed her personal knight.
Link being knighted so young meant that he had to work harder than most, luckily he was gifted with both strength and the ability to slow time down as he had been besting adults since he was a child before he pulled the sword. It was his talent that allowed him to join the Royal Guard, and at age sixteen become a Captain of the Royal Guard. At age eighteen he was appointed Zelda’s personal knight. I know many have him typically be seventeen but seeing as you must already be seventeen to go to Mount Lanayru and pray at the Spring of Wisdom he cannot be younger than Zelda, and 18 is still around her age as is the canon.
When he wakes up from the shrine, while he is more carefree, and no longer bears all the scrutiny from the world for having the sword, but it is seen as something to be proud of he allows himself to be more free and open with people. He allows himself to do as he always did which is jump into action and put others lives before his own. However, he did that as a knight as well whether he was Zelda’s appointed knight or not, he was always willing to put his life on the line for someone else, he did so with the pot lid, and he died before the 100 years in the very same way.
I bring this up because yes he is Wild as his title Hero of the Wild suggests, but he spent a life time at court, being a knight. He is properly trained, he knows what he is doing on a battle field even if he seems to just go in whenever he wants. But he is a knight, and I don’t want to see people forgetting that.
Alright so onto his rising through the ranks so quickly and doing so essentially as a child. It put the knights into two camps, they either hate him, or tolerate him. Most knights do not like Link, which only adds to his reasoning for bearing the burden of the Master Sword in silence. However, the dislike towards him becomes even more evident when he struggles to get a squad to listen to him in his Captain position. Him being appointed Zelda’s personal knight while clearly done because of the pot lid incident, is also a bit of a blessing in disguise because he does not have to interact with the knights on a daily basis now since he is to be with Zelda and look after her.
Now last but not least, in being a knight it is obvious that much of this headcanon focuses on sword skills. However Link’s strongest suit in Breath of the Wild is archery, he is one of the strongest, if not the strongest archer based Link we see in the series. His Link Amiibo is of him as an archer, his official artwork is with him and a bow. Safe to say this Link heavily favors archery, so how does that tie in with knighthood, isn’t archery a cowards way out as they are behind the line of fighting knights in battle? ( will his archery be affected if he potentially looses or damages his hand in botw2? yes, and I NEED INFO NINTENDO! ) All valid questions, but archery was a skill practiced as a knight. Typically at some point in your training you focused on one or the other, but since Link had a natural ability with a sword he focused in on his archery, which he also had a natural ability with. However, he heavily favors Archery over sword fighting. Archers are not cowards, as they are often the first line offense in an attack sending arrows out ahead of the front line with the intent of slowing down those attacking. Archers when captured in Medieval times in England would often have their middle and pointer fingers cut off of their shooting hands, and the piece sign was used to mock them because they were no longer valuable assets. ( this is also the origin of the English version of a middle finger ). To put it simply Archers are not cowards, and should the fight come to close they have to be skilled enough with a sword to keep the enemy at bay because while they are often the first line of offense, they are often the last line of defense.
So yeah, there is a bit more about Link’s knighthood for you, and a bit of a correction to a prior headcanon. Can we please stop viewing Link as like completely uncultured swine now?

Fictober #5 Mega Man makes an educational video
A/N: Yo, I’m back. Spent my whole weekend obsessing over the return of the King. So proud of M2K for making 5th. This chapter needs no context.
Prompt number: 5  “I might just kiss you.”
Fandom (AU if applicable): Super Smash Bros
Rating: T
Warnings/Tags: Mega Man taking the birds and the bees literally
Words: shrugs
Ships: none
“Oh… I might just kiss you.”
“Cut!” Nana yelled, “Toon Link, you are a terrible actor!”
“Fuck you!”
“You guys really don’t need to help me with this,” Mega Man sighed, “I don’t think this is what I’m supposed to do any way.”
Every tournament, Crazy Hand chose someone to do a sex-ed class for all the newcomers. His choices were always questionable, he’d never choose someone qualified. He insisted it was all random because no one wanted to speak about the topic especially in front of kids.
This year Mega Man had been chosen to explain the birds and the bees to the newcomers. He had asked his friends to help him make a video to explain the topic but no one really knew what they were doing.
“Don’t worry about it,” Lucas told the robot, “You can’t be worse than last time where Marth presented it in Japanese.”
“I’m sure he did an amazing job even if it was all in Japanese. His powerpoint was full of pictures I’m guessing are accurate. I wish I could have understood it, Roy and Cloud really seemed to like it, they participated a lot.”
“The old Link said that Roy told Ike who told Pit who told Palutena who told old Zelda who told him that Marth was just making jokes the whole time,” Toon Link laughed, “You should do the same. When I had to go to that class, Bowser did the presentation and showed weird drawings he made of Peach.”
“And when I had to go, Kirby talked about nothing but food!” Nana remembered, “I think Mega Man’s got a pretty good shot at doing a decent presentation. What happened back in the first tournament, Ness?”
“We learned about sex,” the psychic boy answered.
“Must have sucked. Math’s confusing. Strange to think they didn’t even bother spelling six correctly.”
---
Mega Man didn’t want to bother his friends any longer. They were doing too much work, so he had to put even more effort.
He went on google and did lots of research before writing a script. Once the script was done, he recorded a video with his friends and prepared a presentation to show to all the newcomers.
Two days later, it was the big day. Despite being a robot, Mega Man couldn’t help but feel nervous. It was his first time doing a presentation. He had never been to school after all. Then again, neither had most of his friends.
“W-welcome,” the robot glitched, “I-I a-am h-here to pre-present the b-b-b-birds and the be-be-bees. Please watch this video.”
The room went dark and no one knew what to expect. Newcomers were placing bets on whether they’d get to see Mia Khalifa or Ryan Creamer. No one thought Mega Man would completely surprise them.
---
“Bzz!!!” Young Link smiled as he was dressed as a bee, “I’m a bee and I make honey! Don’t confuse me with a mean wasp!”
“I’m a mean wasp!” Toon Link yelled, “I’m going to ruin your summer meal!”
“Not on my watch!” Ness who was wearing a bird costume smirked, “I’m a bird and I can eat you!”
---
All the newcomers were speechless. Meanwhile, Mega Man was feeling embarrassed. He was sure they hated it. But when the video ended, everyone stood up and Mega Man received a standing ovation.
“Aw, man, that was awesome!” Terry applauded, “Won’t lie, you had us in the first half.”
“I still can’t believe I had to attend this class again!” Mii Gunner complained as she took off her Sans mask, “All because of this costume. But at least, I understood something this year and it didn’t last four hours.”
“Thank you so much!” Mega Man grinned, “I’m so glad this helped.”
---
Despite the positive reception of the class, Master Hand, who had just learned that no one had actually learned about the birds and the bees, called all the previous “teachers” to his office.
“I demand to be excluded!” Kirby yelled, “I can end your entire career by calling Dad.”
“Kirby, you taught everyone about food,” Master Hand argued, “It was out of subject.”
“Well… Some weirdos like food that way.”
“Please stop.”
“I actually taught them the subject,” Bowser protested, “I explained everything in detail.”
“Oh, you’re not in trouble because of that. Your pictures were the problem.”
“And what did I do wrong?” Marth asked, “It was in my contract to do these sort of things in Japanese, so only two people understood.”
“You didn’t hire a translator and made too many inside jokes with your friends. Everyone else felt excluded.”
“A-and me?” Mega Man stuttered.
“You clearly didn’t learn a single thing Marth taught you last year.”
Mega Man left the office feeling defeated. The others didn’t appear to care about getting scolded. But Mega Man had put in so much effort and it was all for nothing.
But all his friends and the newcomers approached him telling him he did a great job and that Master Hand could get fucked in the ass despite not having one.
Mega Man didn’t get it but he was happy to receive support.
