hey y'all!! i'm back at it again — meaning i'm bored, it's a dreary autumn, and i'm finding myself retreating back to cutsey fantasylands in my mind 🥰 listed below are a few plot ideas i've had in my notesapp for a while — as always, send an ask or a private message if you'd be interested in any of these up !! happy writing !!

childhood sweethearts (on the rocks)

a plot where muse a and muse b have been friends since childhood — here and there, they would have a one night stand, but never really allowed themselves to progress into anything more than just friends. now, as adults who are figuring out the dating scene isn’t as easy as their parents made it seem, muse a and muse b are seeing each other more and more frequently. eventually, muse a starts seeing someone new, and has less and less time for muse b. i’m talking jealousy, tension!!! muse b realizing maybe they’ve had feelings for muse a the whole time, muse a having to make tough decisions — either continue dating this new person or hurt muse b!!! i liiiiive for drama pls

childhood sweethearts (with a twist)

okay but a plot where close childhood friends reunite — except muse a was in love with muse b growing up, and muse b became muse a’s best friend’s high school sweetheart. muse a concealed their feelings for muse b all throughout their friendship, in high school & college, although both muses definitely had feelings & felt sparks for one another long before muse b started dating muse a’s best friend. despite the connection they’d felt, neither wanted to jeopardize any of the friendships between the three, and ultimately, muse b ended up married to muse a’s bff… except now, years later, muse a and muse b reunite at muse a’s best friend’s funeral. imagine the hurt of losing a loved one but having the comfort of yet another loved one?? blurred lines, tension, second-guesses…….

let me take care of you (southern charm)

okay so i’ve been kicking around a ranch hand plot where muse a is looking for help around the ranch they’ve just inherited due to a death in the family, and seeing as they’re just one person with lots of land, and virtually no knowledge on how to take care of it, it’s impossible to go it all on their own… enter muse b. muse b, a man who not only knows how to work the land but can take care of the ranch with ease, finds it impossible to not take care of muse a, while he's at it. just give me texan sunsets and lovers with low static music crooning in the background from some vinyl record please & ty

friends with benefits (with feelings)

a friends with benefits plot where muse a is dead-set, hellbent on not having a relationship and not getting too intimately involved with muse b; muse b has been in love with muse a for years, and muse a knows this, but still can’t bring themselves to get emotionally attached. i need tensionnnn and like, a lil toxicity ykwim??? for the angst omg 

will you come find me (after the after party?)

so hear me out — a plot where muse a and muse b met at a friend of a friend’s party & instantly hit it off. muse a is immediately infatuated with muse b — they laugh, talk, drink; they even make an incredible beer pong team. at some point during the night, muse a decides to put the moves on muse b. however, after leaving to get them some drinks, muse a comes back to find muse b kissing someone else… and to make it worse? it’s their boyfriend/girlfriend. tbh this plot could have the potential of a shakespearean comedy if we did it right akdjgh ok i'm talking messssssssyyyy 

you feel like home (but i’ve got a different address)

okay so i need a tense plot where muse a and muse b are soulmates, beyond the shadow of a doubt — but muse a is married to a nightmare of a spouse. little by little, they spend more time together one on one, but it’s getting increasingly harder for muse b to see muse a with their spouse, especially knowing how that spouse treats muse a. idk this is a rough plot/work in progress plot but i feel like it has potential to go somewhere!!!

Bucky “won” Steve’s shield in a game of poker in 1944. It’s been Bucky’s shield ever since. Steve’s just borrowing it.

Steve: throws himself into enemy fire with the shield.

Bucky, sipping coffee: “Technically, that’s mine.”

Steve: “You lost the next hand.”

Bucky: “And? You didn’t have anything else worth wagering.”

Flash forward to modern day, and Bucky still calls it his shield. Sam asks to hold it and Bucky just goes, “Sure, but be careful- it’s a family heirloom.

The Smithsonian plaque says “Captain America’s Shield,” but Bucky whispers “mine” every time he walks past it.

One where she’s a ballerina and he’s a boxer and he’s never had to be gentle before but all he wants to do is be delicate and soft when he touches her :( and his hands are so rough compared to hers but she loves they way they feel in hers and eventually, on her body. And he’s been rough and tumble and hasn’t cared about the little things for most of his life but he needs her and suddenly starts noticing the stars because she points them out on clear nights and how her eyelashes lay on her cheeks while she sleeping and the little inflections in her voice when she’s trying not to show she’s hurt and how she puts a tiny bit extra sugar in her tea(not a whole spoon but a couple granules more). And he’s never had to worry about someone else’s feelings but suddenly his heart drops when he sees the corners of her lips fall and her brows start to draw together and he wants to do everything he can to fix it :( and he’s used to his own pain but when she complains about her feet hurting he realizes why she gets so worried about him taking care of himself :( and he never saw the appeal of dance and wanted to fall asleep to classical music but the moment he sees her dancing and spinning like she doesn’t weigh a thing he starts to see the appeal :(

Idea

Satanus is overthrown (Blaze or Neron, don’t matter) and getting dumped on earth in human form, which is just a fairly tan/sun kissed man with wavy black hair in braids for an idea of what he ends up looking like, and what’s a former ruler of hell to do to reclaim his throne and powers but to go to his kinda brother for help!

Cue the JL being baffled at Lord Satanus in human guise demanding to see some brother (bc he knows what company Billy keeps) and they’re just trying to figure out if helping him would be a net good or bad bc on one hand, he’s not as active or malicious an antagonistic force as his sister or Neron, but on the other hand it’s helping to give a demon his powers back to rule literal Hell. When they ask who exactly his brother is he says, “Captain Marvel, the Batson boy, the Big Red Cheese of Fawcett or whatever it is you mortals call him outside his official titles!” And they just have to do some punnet squares in their heads because what?

Anyway, Cap and Satanus talk, JLD is brought in, they agree that “Yeah, better the devil you know then the devil you don’t, plus this one would owe us a favor” and decide to help Satanus before Neron/Blaze can do any damage in their new position

𑑛 001. PLOTS INSPIRED BY MY SPOTIFY.

𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐝𝐞 / muse a and muse b have this flirty situationship ⸻ they’re sweet and sour, like pink lemonade on a summer day. muse a is an optimist, always looking for the bright side, even when muse b is distant or pulling away. their dynamic is like the perfect summer fling. muse a wants to believe there’s more than just a fling, but every time they bring it up, muse b either disappears or drowns it in sweet talk and promises that taste good but fade away quickly. muse a is stuck in that in-between, waiting for the ice to melt in a cold drink, knowing that something sweet and refreshing won’t last forever.

𝐤𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 / muse a and muse b are best friends who have been dancing around their feelings for years. they’ve never let themselves slip, never let the world see that their touches last a little too long. but one night, at a crowded party, they can’t hold back anymore. they’re kissing in public ⸻ and it's undeniable. the thrill of it all tastes electric, but as they come up for air, they’re faced with the reality: what now? everyone saw. there’s no more hiding behind jokes. it’s either everything or nothing, and neither of them is sure which they’re ready for.

𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐰𝐞 𝐠𝐨 (𝐮𝐡 𝐨𝐡) / muse a and muse b have always been in each other’s lives ⸻ circling, always “almost.” but every time they think they’re ready to be together, something comes up ⸻ an old flame, a new job, an argument that never really ends. it’s always: here we go again. but this time feels different. this time, muse a can’t stop the feeling that it’s now or never. muse b is more cautious, worried about repeating the same mistakes. they’re both tired of the back and forth but can’t deny the fire when they’re together. it’s a gamble⸻ will this be the time they finally get it right, or just another “uh oh” moment they’ll never learn from?

𝐬𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 / muse a and muse b broke up months ago, but neither of them has truly let go. they still text late at night, still see each other "by accident," still end up in each other’s beds knowing it always ends the same. muse a swears they’re over it, but every time muse b calls, they pick up. muse b keeps saying they’ve changed, they’re better now ⸻ but the apologies feel recycled and the delusion has worn off. muse b ghosts them and asks like they don't even know muse a's name. it’s a cycle, like a song on loop. they both know how this ends, but it’s easier to replay the same mistake than face the silence of letting go.

𝟓 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐮𝐭𝐞𝐬 / muse a and muse b are in an early-stage relationship where every moment feels precious. muse a, always on the move, is constantly pulled away by real-world responsibilities, while muse b yearns for just a little more time together. each morning, as muse a prepares to leave, muse b playfully pleads, “just five more minutes,” hoping to prolong their shared intimacy. their dynamic is a delicate balance of love and the ticking clock, showcasing the bittersweet nature of our favorite moments and the wish to make them last forever.

I would like to believe Bruce would be the type to tell Clark not to show up in the Manor for dates and sex because of his children.

Clark gets it, but is also a little bit hurt about it.

Which Bruce fumbles and says he doesn't want the kids to get attached then possibly heartbroken when they break up.

And he phrases it as when, not if. Bc he's Batman.

Kids find out bc they were raised by the World's Greatest Detective (and one of them the the World's second greatest detective, and all of them are Paranoid with no boundaries so ofc they know)

Batfamily shenanigans ensues.

Ok so, hear me out, what if Danny thinks he and clockwork have a mentor and mentee relationship, almost like a family dynamic even. He gets to sleep on a couch on clockworks tower, hang around, and clockwork might sometimes even help him.

He’s happy, it’s everything he didn’t have with the Fentons, but, what if, clockwork only did it to avoid a bad timeline? He didn’t actually care about Danny, could care less what happened to him as long as it didn’t affect the timeline, and Danny discovers it for the first time when clockwork is very willing, and not at all affected, to end his life if he doesn’t complete a certain task for a “better timeline”

It’s not even a definite will, it’s just a slight chance of the timeline going wrong, and then Danny truly sees how little their relationship means to clockwork. It all crumbles around him as he realizes that the only “healthy” relationship he thought he had was build on straight up lies, he grieves for the mentor he apparently never even had on the first place.

Danny finishes the mission, and as clockwork goes to Pat him in the head for a good job so similar to a dog, a loyal pet to just follow orders in exchange for the bare minimum of affection and care, Danny avoids his hand and just flies away, core empty, void of any meaningful relationship, alone

He stops visiting clockwork altogether, and clockwork doesn’t visit either, barely keeping an eye on the boy to make sure he doesn’t step out of line, and if they capture and experiment on the kid? It’s not his problem as long as the timeline turns out alright

Setting loose the bunnies.

My at times overactive mind and crazy muse love to let plot bunnies loose in my brain (often at the most inconvenient times). Many times it's just a single image, an idea or a scene and admittedly, I love it. It gives me the opportunity to play with plot ideas, twists and little stories, occupying my brain with something positive. But I also get frustrated because so many of them never become anything more than that, plot bunnies that I collect but rarely share because I'm possessive about them, even though I know full well that I will most likely never write them. Any way, a dear friend (looking at you @barmadumet) suggested I ‘let them loose’ and see if they can find life on their own, that maybe there were others who could be inspired by them, which I admittedly would love. Developing and playing with plots is truly one of my greatest joys and I wish I could find more people willing to play this game with me. So I'm going to do just that, share some of my plot bunnies by writing a short outline and then setting them loose in the hope that they might run wild and free, and if I'm really lucky inspire others. I would of course love to help develop, or just plot play, and if anyone would like to take up an idea then please let me know so I can cheer you on. Below is a list of some very short plot ideas, and if anyone is interested in knowing more about what they might entail, or just want to tell me about what ideas they give you, if any, drop me a message.

* To have one last day with you. This one is a bit sad, as it is Obi-Wan dreaming about what he would do if he had just one last day with Anakin. It is inspired by Nik & Jay - En Dag Tilbage * Ghost Ship. In a big galaxy, there must be some abandoned ships, space stations and other deserted places floating around. This one is definitely Halloween themed, and I have both the movie Ghost Ship and the first Alien movie in my mind when I think of this bunny. * Padawan mayham. Time travel is always fun to play with, and there's a particular joy in sending our boys back and forth in time in an attempt to fix something, but this craziness takes it even further. So now imagine that shortly after Obi-Wan takes Anakin as his Padawan, a thirteen year old version of himself shows up but he's not alone, a lanky young version of Qui-Gon is with him, followed by a scowling young Jedi who has an uncanny resemblance to Count Dooku, but most mysterious is the young man who has no idea where he is and looks startlingly similar to Anakin. * Impossible love. AUs are entertaining and fun to play with, but this one is just a tiny idea, partly inspired by LOTR. Elf prince Obi-Wan falls for human warrior Anakin, knowing that their love is impossible. * The boy and the ghosts. This is a sad story with the potential to become a deep, long and convoluted story, but it could possibly also taken another, more humorous direction. Anyway, both Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan die on Naboo, and little Ani disappears, taken by Maul and Sidious. However, Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan's tries to look after him as Force ghosts. * Seeking comfort. My muse came up with this idea of the disaster lineage having a tradition of seeking comfort in each other's beds. They are all part of an unusual lineage and loved each other even after they fall apart, there IS a special bond. It began with Dooku and Qui-Gon (not sure how) and ends (maybe) with Anakin and Ahsoka seeking comfort during the war before everything goes to hell. This one I think has the potential to be sweet fluff, or hot shameless smut possibly heartbreaking hurt/comfort, so take your pick. * The Pact. There's this ancient pact between the Sith and Jedi that dictates that in every generation, or for every hundred years, a couple from each order will be selected and united to keep the peace, working together to maintain the balance. * R2D2 knows all the secrets. This is canon in my opinion, R2 really knows ALL the secrets. This little droid has been there all along so it makes sense. But get this, what if Luke, after inheriting it, discovers that in its memory there are recordings of intimate moments between Anakin, Padmé and Obi-Wan? My naughty muse imagined him getting inspired and sharing some steamy moments himself with a certain princess (unaware that she's his sister) a snarky good-hearted scoundrel. * First kiss. Soul mats are a wonderfully cheesy theme, and can be so sugar sweet, devastating or deliciously complicated. So what if it's not until the first kiss that a soul mate is revealed. Then imagine that a master and padawan only realize they are soul mates the moment the master is mortally wounded... But then it is later revealed that the young boy with incredible potential they found on a desert planet is their third soul mate (because I make the rules and of course you can have more than one soul mate)

All Viago needs of them is to sneak into one fancy party. Just kill one mage and leave. Everything is going fine. Everything is going to plan.

I need to do a plot with tattoo artist h and shop receptionist y/n… can yall see it like a bit of asshole h talking shit about how ‘she doesn’t have any fuckin’ ink, what does she know about tattoos?’ And y/n overhearing and simply correcting him with ‘I’ve got plenty of ink, it’s just not for your eyes’ and walking away which of course has him intrigued… so he scopes her out a bit and is still wary of her because she’s pretty sweet but she takes none of his grumpy shit and puts him in his place which he’s supposed to hate but god, his pants are getting tight when she has that tone and her eyes narrow at him… and it boils over after hours when they’re alone in the shop and he teases her about going on a date with the guy who came by to see her w few days ago and how he can’t possibly be good in bed etc and she hits him with the ‘like you’re any better’ and suddenly she’s laid out on his tattoo bench with his head hidden under the skirt of her dress with his tongue buried beneath her thighs and he’s grumbling about how he’s the one who could give her what she needs….. what do yall think

I just saw a history of two frogs being married in India to please the gods, because they were having a draught, and they had to divorce them because they got so much rain it destroyed 9 thousand houses. And it came to me a plot of like someone praying to an old god and them being so excited, that they overdo it everything. (with steddie in mind, Eddie being the old god, I remember a fic of him like this but he was weakened instead of being too strong lol)

PLOT BASED ON THIS: muse a has been trying and trying to make it work with her longtime bf who chooses everything and everyone over her and after years and years of pleading with him and trying to make it work she decides to chose herself and go on this crazy eat pray love trip with her friends when she meets muse b who is everything her ex bf wasn’t and yet everything she needed and now everything is changing and she is in a foreign country with this man and doing all the things !!! i can see angst and yearning and how will we make this work because of the distance etc etc !! please !!! I am politely barking for this :~)
