This feels like a secret but I'm telling you

I've always been a spones girly (and I still am, I love their arguments) but mckirk week is strong on the dash so I tried my hand at it last night and ooh! Jim is a fun pov to write! Knocked out 3k before it even got romantic (the desire is filtered throughout, I'm not writing platonic w a twist ending. He has a crush).

Hope I can finish tonight or tomorrow morning and post still within the week, but even if it's late I know I'm mutual w a few diehard mckirkers so just giving you a heads up ily ❤️

Honestly, I forget how little representation there is for ace and aro people every year, until pride month rolls around.

There are all these posts going around recommending queer movies and books and tv shows and comics and what not and it covers most identities and has a wide variety of different stories, but if there is anything with aces or aros included it’s always the same three shows. It’s kinda sad and annoying.

Most (of the few) depictions of asexual and/or aromantic characters are in tv shows aimed at highschoolers, which isn’t wrong, but once you’ve graduated it stops being particularly relatable. I wish I had some extensive history of aro-ace film and literature where I could pick and choose based on my mood and personal preferences. Instead I have to scavenge the internet high and low for something that might possibly have characters that are like me. Wether or not the rest of the plot seems enticing to me be damned.

Unfortunately, we will never see the script for the synopsis of fire on the moutain, but there are small differences for the revised script and the revised final script that changes the vibe

Like in the revised script, Thundercracker holds more contempt for both Megatron and Starscream, his reasoning for not attacking Skyfire is that it would make both of those guys lives harder, and he would be happy because of it!

I love how he monolouges this to Skyfire as he just stands there in shock

Until Starscream appears and once again, wrecks Skyfires shit, also we get to see that Starscream coldness from fire in the sky. Then he's quite confident that Megatron would listen to him about traitors????

"They exchange glances, and we can see that there's no love between these two" is such a good line and why I'm making this post

Starscream furious that his trinemate was planning to betray him with someone that has betrayed him in the past. Thundercracker seething because his chance to do something that he feels was.. right? His moment of rebellion? Whatever it is, it's out of his grasp, his ticket to doing so was was harmed by Starscream and he's now blackmailed into doing his bidding

Then theres Megatron, who knows the both of them are traitorous, and seems to almost enjoy it?? Damn no wonder why Skywarp is his least favorite...

This is the final script, where Thundercracker DOES want to impress Megatron but doesn't like Starscream because he would take all of the credit, so instead of an act of defiance to the decepticon ideology, it's a ploy to make him look better to Megatron

But maybe it would have been better for him to be more traitorous because now Megatron wants to replace them both with Skyfire (and once again Skywarp isn't even on his mind)

The no love line does have kind of a new meaning here, where it seems like they're both fighting over Megatron and Megatron is rage baiting them both

returning to jitd about nine episodes in after taking a break to go read most of mo du means I'm approaching it with a really different perspective now compared to when I first started watching without any book knowledge.

specifically, I'm recognising that they've given the overarching plot aspects the subtlety of a hammer compared to the novel (somewhat understandable given the sheer amount of exposition necessary to pull off this in visual form would be ridiculous *and* there's a 30 episode cap to work within), but the character aspects are all pretty much identical. And when they're not identical, they still align incredibly well with the book characterisation.

honestly part of the reason i've been really looking forward to finally playing light fingers (aside from the obvious horrors and whatnot) is because it, alongside bag a legend, contains a Choice™ i to this day am Extremely Torn About Making. like i've known for ages that the Choice™ exists in this ambition and STILL i am undecided about it. this Choice™ is of course. well. let's just say that by the time this ambition ends, caeru may not be the only catboy around town

as someone who isnt super excited for sotm for certain reasons I am really glad that like. it's clear that since ruin theyve been setting up for carnival and sotm IS carnival. so now that carnival is finally coming out, afterwards theyll be moving on to other plotlines since the main villain stuff is sorted out

I'm just rlly happy to finally see a clear direction for how the story is gonna be playing out with like "okay these games were leading up to this so after this will be open possibilites" instead of like. absolutely no info about each upcoming game and being left guessing before it releases and just having to wait and see what's in it and if anything you're looking forward to will be in it

it feels like they have a plan and a solid direction for what they're trying to do and after carnival releases thatll be all that buildup coming to fruition. & we already know from the Scott interview that theres another release 'beyond sotm' that's 'super exciting' so maybe thatll be focusing on another big currently untouched (which is basically all of them) plotline, or even the big campaign game that dawko has been calling security breach 2

🐧 - antarct-fic [snippets here | bucktommy | post break up fix-it] post-break up and staring down the barrel of spending the holidays alone, tommy does the one thing any normal, reasonable person would do in his situation: he signs up to fly helicopters in antarctica.

⌛️- 8:39 PM [snippets here | bucktommy | angst | post break up fix-it] turns out, the string of fate that connects buck and tommy passes through a specific moment in time: 8:39 PM. when a truck swerves off the road and a helicopter crashes at the exact same time, the string crumples and all those instances of 8:39 PM collide. oh, and they're both dying.
