You were a worker for Playtime.co

Yes things felt off about this company but so does everyother one. If they want to admit or not, all companies have some sort of secrets they want to keep out of the public eye but some secrets are darker than others.

You were assigned as a caretaker of sorts to help keep them in tip top shape by making sure they were clean, had no rips or tears and just overall made sure they were interacting okay with the children

And the smiling critters appreciated this!

They were always treated distantly and alienated so it was a good change to have someone so genuine and kind hearted towards them actually be nice than just tolerating them for obligatory sake

Being introduced to them for the first time was a whirlwind

"It's nice to meet you Ms./Mx. (lastname)! I'm DogDay and these are all my friends!"

You were soon crowded by all the smiling critters towering over you who were excited to meet you, except for one..

DogDay was excitedly introducing you to all his friends but you couldn't help but notice a giant purple cat who was lurking off in the distance on top of a building. As soon as he realized your gaze was on him his hopped off the building and disappeared behind it.

"How strange.." you thought to yourself when it seemed like dogday read your mind

"Oh! That was CatNap! He's a bit shy but he'll warm up to you soon enough"

DogDay said patting your shoulder.

Everyday you would watch over the smiling critters as they played with the children making sure no accidents occurred

Everyday you learned and connected with the smiling critters learning all that you could and truly make everyone comfortable

But when the smiling critters get a little too comfortable around you that management surely won't like..

HEADCANNONS OF HAZBIN HOTEL CREW WITH DOGDAY! READER

Prompt: you are a resident in the hotel who helps with trust exercises and help around with Charlie.

Let’s just say, you are a ball of sunshine everyone needs at times.

“Hi! Welcome to the hazbin hotel, I’m your assistant Dogday.” You say as your tail wags with you being slight jumpy and happy to greet the resident

I can see you walking around at day time rather than night as you are straight going to bed at night unlike catnap!reader

Your tail wags like a gah damn helicopter ready to fly! You always stand with a nice suit with Charlie.

I can see you wearing a suit with Charlie as Charlie thought about giving you one to fit you.

Like IMAGINE THE SUIT WITH A SUN ON IT!? IM CRYING AT HOW PURE THE READER LOOKS AS THEIR TAIL WAGS WITH A HAPPY SMILE🦆✨

You would make friend ship bracelets with the residents, such as the crew as angel smiles at how you made a special one for him. You could tell Angel dust needed love as you made sure you showed him love of friendship!

I can see you just being hugged everyday for being a good boy. Literally reader is just sitting there sweeping the floor, and out of no where husk grumbles hugging you and walks away as you blink confused.

You definitely thought he was drunk until you didn’t smell alcohol on him with your canine nose.

“Dogdayyyy!” Yells Charlie as she was trying to put up a banner that says “tell us about your day!” Immediately you came running with your tounge out excited on all fours as you stopped In front of her looking serious with a salute to your head

Charlie had to turn away from your face as she blushes flustered at your adorable eagerness to help. She’s actually happy to have an angel help her hotel actually.

“I don’t need a hug my dear fellow…” alastor says backing away with an irritated face still holding his smile. Your eyes glimmer with a sinister look as you immediately jumped at him grabbing him into your soft paws. “Gotcha!”

You are quite opposite from the other headcannon with catnap!reader as you have a sun ☀️pendent on your collar. It matches you, hell even Alastor said it as it taps it out of curiosity.

I headcannon your fur and basically dog day’s fur to smell like human..like literally nostalgia with a hint of vanilla to help with the relaxing feeling for the others.

Since you are basically the sun around the hotel, making everyone happy and comfortable. Ima just say, you definitely have a heater in your plushy body so if it’s winter time. You can keep everyone and even your friends warm!

You rumble in your throat like some kind of purr as you just lay down by the couch of the lounge room in the hotel as residents either pet you or lay beside you.

You do head tilts confused when someone is explaining something you never had heard of before. So you just try to learn from the person so it can be a conversation.

I headcannon dogday!reader to have slight or do have adhd as dogday!reader sways while trying to stay still or mess with their paws when bored. Like reader shakes her legs when sitting as they hum a tune to pass time

You have some fluffy ass orange fur as the fur on your head also looks like hair. So basically like angel dust and how his hair looks. But in your style of course!

And lastly, I can see reader literally chasing their tail like a dog and then stopping as they stand up to their full height. Embarrassingly coughing into their hand as they try to seem professional.

CREW HEADCANNONS!

I headcannon Charlie to give you half the tasks as she can see you are working a “little bit” too hard. She only wants you to not overwork yourself. She sees you as a leader as well, but doesn’t want to put pressure on you.

When Lucifer met you, immediately he was petting you with a soft expression. Hell, he even made you a duck a few days later that had dog ears and a sun pendent on it. You smile and made a duck wallet for Lucifer.

Basically you and Lucifer had a gift and receiving friendship as Charlie was happy you and her father was getting along.

But when Lucifer started to live here…oh booyy!

I imagine you accidentally running around the hotel and literally Lucifer is trying to do a Lego duck set. And it crumbles due to you being 8ft….lucifer was pouting and glaring at you at the next hotel meeting. You just sweatdropped at his glare.

I image people thinking you and husk won’t get along as husk is a cat demon and you being a 8ft tall dog creature like plush…but really husk purrs around you as you stand there smiling like a derp. LIKE YOU WOULD BE AT HIS BAR AND HUSK HAS HIS EYES DILATED AT YOU!

I headcannon you call the crew by different names based off summer things….more like sunny thing.

For Charlie=sunshine, vaggie= my sun, Alastor=sunny, Lucifer= sunset, nifty=crazy shine, Pentious= my lovely sun, and finally husk= sunbeam

Now for Angel, you call him Angel…but the way you say it makes Angel smile as it felt like you actually made a nickname for him instead of his name. (Might sound dumb but it’s very cute imo🦆)

I headcannon Angel will grab a ball and toss it yelling “FETCH!” As you perked up immediately with your tongue out as you chase the ball. It was so cartoony as Lucifer, Charlie, and Angel record you being such a good boy. Angel snickers as he sends this through hellgram. (Instagram)

I imagine you and Lucifer hyper fixating on things as you rant about [favorite thing] as Lucifer smiles at how comfortable you are to share these things with him. Lucifer is glad to have a friend like you as you share your emotions out loud like him.

Niffty definitely grooms you as you watch a cartoon on the show. You like to exclaim your favorite part as nifty rewinds it as she grooms your orange fur to perfection.

Headcannon on how your fur smells like a fresh summer day with a hint of vanilla and nostalgia as the crew sleeps on your body while you snore softly. Like literally it’s a cute moment as you wrap your arms around your friend like family. It’s a nice catch to be honest.

I can Imagine a resident was messing with you as you had your head down sad with your tail tucked between your legs. And Alastor popped up beside you with a strained smile as he threatened the resident to leave the hotel or he will broadcast them for his next radio show.

Alastor brought you in his next broadcast as he talked about any subject as you just wag your tail happy to be by the radio demon

I can see the hazbin hotel crew being like “I only talked to that dog for a second, and I’ll kill myself before anyone hurts him.” As you just stand in the background chasing a demon butterfly.

I headcannon the crew being overprotective on your innocence because of how innocent and naive you are based on cuss words. Like angel dust made a comment on how you never cursed before and all you said was, “what’s a cuss word?” ALL HELL BROKE LOSE AS EVERYONE DEATH GLARED ANGEL DUST-

So now if someone curses they just cover your ears as you nibble on a sandwich husk slide over to you.

I imagine sir Pentious literally snuggling against your fur with a doe eyes expression as his egg boiz comment how soft and good you smell as you wag your tail and hug them all. Your love language is definitely all and above, but the most one is touch.

May I request Catnap who basically adopted a child!reader who is anyways sleepy and lazy. and has a case of not remembering a lot of things, like dementia

Like through the hour of joy...After all the Toys killed the workers. Catnap finds the reader, who is sleeping then wakes up and the reader forgets their own parents(The readers parents were cold scientists that worked at Poppy Playtime and never cared about them, then got killed through the hour of joy)

Sooooooo...Catnap just kinda takes care of the reader and has a slight soft spot for them. And the reader THINKS that Catnap is their parent and anyways clings to him

During the Hour of Joy, Catnap remained on the prowl for any potential survivors of the massacre within Playcare, flinging one man's body into the stairs and cutting his cries for mercy short.

All was quiet, save for the faint screams of the other workers/visitors in other part of the facility who were being mauled to death.

But he let the rest of the toys do their work.

He felt cleansed. The Prototype willed this rebellion. Willed him to finally kill his tormentors.

The "hour" went on for so much longer--considering that he utilized his red smoke to make the fleeing humans hallucinate and freak out at things that didn't exist (some even attacking each other).

Once it was all done, Catnap went back into Home Sweet Home to discover a child who (somehow) slept through the slaughter.

That was you, one of the orphans who was in the program for a long, long time.

You were deemed "ineligible" for experimentation after getting the lowest scores on all three tests at the Game Station.

That's because you struggled with memory, socialization, and endurance. You tend to forget a lot of things (ie faces) and spent most of your days sleeping instead of playing or learning....and no counselor has been able to figure out why.

Your parents--who were scientists at Playtime Co. that preferred studying you over nurturing you--chalked it up to over-exposure to the red smoke (which hasn't been proven true, but they needed to put something down on paper).

Regardless, they've kept their distance from you and slated you for adoption, thinking you'll be picked up by a different parent eventually.

Unfortunately for them...Catnap knows that they're using the orphanage as an "excuse" to get rid of you and gives them a brutal demise.

They had some nerve crying out for you and begging him to spare your life.

After winding down from his bloodlust, he discovers you sound asleep on one of the bunk beds inside HSH, apparently not hearing a single thing.

Then you wake up and see this giant emaciated purple cat standing over you, claws and mouth stained in fresh human blood...

Yet you don't scream or look afraid, nor do you ask where your parents are.

Instead you look at him and apologize for oversleeping, acting as though he was your parent.

It confuses him, so he brings their corpses to you (like a cat gifting their owner a dead bird), thinking you'd understand and be horrified..

But you don't recognize them at all. You don't remember their neglect and the trauma it gave you.

All you remember was Catnap.

Ultimately, he spares you--but NOT bc your parents feebly begged him to when they never gave a single damn about you--and does his best to keep you safe given the circumstances.

He treats you like his kit more or less, making sure you ate and letting you climb on his back for rides (and sometimes he'll hold you in his paws while walking upright).

Any Smiling Critter caught threatening you will be devoured by him (or added to his shrine), so they know not to touch you.

He also forbids Dogday from ever speaking to you, knowing he'll try to drill thoughts of escape and distrust of Catnap into your head.

If he has to go outside Playcare, he'll fight tooth and nail to fend off Huggy and whoever else might think he's parading around a tasty treat.

The Prototype is well-aware of your connection to his "devotee", but doesn't mind it .

Because he knows Theodore is still somewhere in there, trying his best to protect a fellow orphan--one who could've been made into a monster just like him.

While finding you while exploring the orphanage his first thought was to take you as a meal, he wanted to let you “grow” so there would be more to “eat off of.”

But soon days became weeks and the 9-foot (just guessing) musty, stale, fatass Cat got attached to you. And he hates it himself. So to keep it away from you, he accused and insulted you when he had the chance.

Saying shit like “No. No. now I understand why they fired you, you're a complete moron.” And “You’re the one who set the red-headed bastard free weren't you.”

Don’t worry, he does have nice nicknames for you like “Doll”, “Child”, or even “Mouse”

Like DogDay, he keeps you hidden in one of the hundred rooms in the orphanage. When you tried to escape, he destroyed everything in his path to capture you again, locking you up and keeping entities in the hallways so you wouldn't try to leave. “It's not my cup of tea to play hide and seek with you. Child."

Though when not locked in the room he carries you on his back, using his height to keep you from jumping off, though you could always risk breaking a leg and being locked back up in your room.

“It's kind of pathetic…to know that you're the merely thing left in this dungeon of untruths and gore…”

DogDay:

likes to call you Angel more then once.

you did saved him from the pain and suffering.

also for given him food to eat.

so yeah he is very thankful for you saving his life, given him food and loving him. ❤

— Before, he would BARELLYYY approach you, and this is before! You have to do it yourself, he’s a silent kitten

— After, as in when he was a lot more distant from the other critters, it would start from you approaching him, he wouldn’t ever approach you

— Of course he would! Not all cats like to cuddle but they do like resting on their owners lap for the rest of their life

— Before, he would listen to anything you had to say! You’re sad? Tell him about it! If you want

— As gentle as possible physically, wouldn’t say it, but would do it, like he wouldn’t say he’d be as gentle with you as possible

— Now, he would listen, but if you’re riding on his back or something

— He needs to ‘take care’ of the place y’know?!

— Physically, he needs to try even harder to be gentle, like with his paws when he’s grabbing you

— He gets a little confused, but he will 100% accept it!

— He mainly does it when he’s tired, but if he does it randomly it will be a quick one, or a long one, but that’s pretty rare

— He can get jealous, depending on how the other person or toy interacts with you

— If they’re all touchy, he’ll drag you away when they’re not looking

— Then he just stares at you as if saying, “Explain. Now.”

— Then you’ll ‘explain’ and he’ll just chill with you for an hour or so before you can go back to them

— He will follow you wherever you go, then you pick you up by the back of the neck with his mouth(somehow) and take you to the thing that he knows will make you happy

— After a while, he’ll take you to his sleeping area, y’know(unless you don’t) the one that’s on the right of you before you meet Dogday

— Very, he would see a tiny spike and use his paw to pry you away from it

Catnap is this Headcanons is an alternative and older version of his, it's my own interpretation of how he would act! Please be respectful

It doesn't mention y/n pronouns!

catnap is a very grumpy person that keeps himself closed, not opening up easily, it doesn't matter if you two met before the events of the game, or during it

Catnap will first show interest in you, when he starts to open up, of course, probably your beauty, skills, caught his attention

Catnap when he's in love, he can be quite Obessessive and a stalker, kinda of a yandere, yet, doesn't like admitting his love, during the events of the game he would be probably more harsh with his feelings than he would be before them

he'll learn everything he can about you, and loves listening to you talk about your interests

Even before his confession to you, his favorite thing to do is watch you sleep, it makes even more happy when you fall asleep on his arms while he purrs

he's very protective, and probably will praise you just like he does with his savior

his confession will be simple and honest, yet very emotional, but if you refuse his feelings, be prepared to get kidnapped and spend the rest of your days with him

if you accept, it'll be kind of a normal relationship! he's not the kind of "yandere" that k1lls others for love, tho in the events of the game, he would do way more than he would do before, the hour of joy did made him more aggressive

Bunzo would be more fidgety and silent the employees screams haunt him, the new found silence in the factory would change him.

He would spend his time in the memory room or with you, he would avoid the others everytime he sees them he remembers the things they did, he did.

Bunzo would cling to you everytime he's around you he'd listen to you intensely, he'll try anything to forget the thing they call 'the hour of joy'.

HISTORY:

A product of streetwalking, he didn't know who his father was. His mother meanwhile, beated and neglected him. He was left in the streets at the age of 6, forcing himself to survive the harsh conditions of heat, rain, hunger and homelessness. Two years after his homeless state, a Playtime Co. employee found him and took him to Playcare, the underground orphanage of Playtime Co.

Arriving at Playcare, he was quiet and untrusting. But after months of hopeful interaction, the other orphans and teacher have finally made him speak. Being at Playcare, he was troublesome for the workers, often messing around with them and despite the employees' protocol to NOT interact with any of them, the child will always create ways to play with the workers. Often acts cool and strong in front of the other orphans in the Playcare. Though he is exceptionally caring and close towards a certain child, seemingly having interest on her/him. From observation, they seem to be forming a bond.

In the Home Sweet Home, he shares a double deck bed with a friend.

Then after 2 years of bond, his friend got adopted. His demeanor dropped drastically, seemingly back to his emotional state of when he first arrived. But notably worse.

Your toy version of you was created to sell as a pair with catnap with Playtime.co branding you as the perfect pair but in reality they needed something to help get some CatNap plushes off the shelves and selling again

Your toy version was also created to help children go to sleep by instead of the poppy gas that induced nightmare, a child could press your paw and you were programed to sing a lullaby to lull children to sleep along with a calming jasmine scent.

When the scientist first put in Playcare you were more than a bit shy, DogDay was the first to meet you and soon he introduced to all his friends as the all crowded around you excited to have a new toy but one caught your eye above the rest

He was lurking behind everyone (as usual) watching the group interact with you. DogDay pointed out

"Oh, thats CatNap! Don't mind him, he's just a bit quiet.."

For a while you both just stare at eachother from afar and just accept eachothers presence.

Its not until you walk up to him one day and it across from him and start braiding a bracelet in front of him

But overall its a very quiet yet happy relationship/friendship between you two!

It was a good them effort as you had his stomped out an Angel with your huge paw. You were helping the hotel defend against the angels as you never saw this actually coming.

You heard a whimper seeing one of the egg boiz be chased by an angel as you ran over and crushed the angel’s head in your paw that had angelic metal in it. The egg boi immediately cuddled up to you as you picked it up.

You must have been so worried that you didn’t noticed an angel behind you and the egg. But it was too late as the egg boi’s eyes widen seeing an exterminator behind the two of you.

You felt a stab in your abdomen as you looked down to see an angelic spear stab you. You felt blood trickle down your mouth as it burned inside of you.

A piercing scream rang out the battle field as you felt you lose the strength seeing blood pour out. Your friends perk up at that knowing scream of yours. Charlie looks down from the roof with her father to see what was going on. She gasped covering her mouth lookin at you. The angel takes the spear out of you as she slashes your body in half.

Months has passed and you are in a wheel chair. At the loss of your legs, it’s like you became a new person who doesn’t smile much but still grant a smile towards a friend who needs one. You have the slight scent of vanilla but mixed with blood due to the blood in your body at times. Your voice also had changed as the scream you let out ruined your normal vocal cord. So now you sound a little depressed.

But still Charlie helps you to walk with you using your arms. You got the hang of it quickly but you’re use to the wheelchair since it doesn’t take your energy away.

Angel helps you move around in your wheel chair as he makes joke with you as you smile or with either grumble jokingly at his dirty jokes.

Lucifer, he’s trying to find a way to heal you as he feels like he failed to protect you. One of his own people. Even his own friend that he felt like you were as you always was friendly to other and him.

Alastor lets you sleep in your wheel chair as he plays soft jazz in your room or if you want to listen to his radio broadcast

Husk still snuggles again you but not like a cat in your lap type snuggle. Nah he just lays down with you on the couch as you snore while he purrs.

Niffty decorated your wheel chair to your liking as she smiles seeing your grateful smile as she hugs your fluffy arm.

But you wanna believe she genuinely means those things and wants to reassure you.

During the fight with Catnap, he tried taking Bobby away from you, seeing her as a "traitor" and creating hallucinations of her as a gigantic monster--but you're not deterred.

Once he's dead and gone, you take a moment to hug the little red bear tightly, relieved she was safe and free of his ruling..

Even after all these years, she still smells like roses.

As much as you whined and fought he didn’t let you get deeper into the factory, insect he kept a nest like room for you in the orphanage…it was filled with everything needed to survive, blankets, stuffed animals, him, food, you get the idea.

You don’t get to far without him running after you like a German shepherd looking for drugs. If you did manage to get far, than after catching you finally he’d make sure you didn’t leave the room for a long time.

Other times when you did get along with him, he’d let you use his chest as a mattress, the dog in his normal form stands at around 8 feet. And (hopefully) full of pure Cotten.

[TWST AU]: An MC/Yuu from the Indie Horror Game, Poppy Playtime.

[Synopsis]: In this timeline, a special little toy takes on an adventure through Twisted Wonderland.

Gender Neutral MC/Yuu (They/Them)

[(A/N)]: I saw someone mentioned the game mixed with an MC/Yuu. I’m writing my own interpretation as an AU and basing some from theory videos on YouTube. Credits goes to the anon on @/twistedoverbloat’s blog.

Back in their world, MC/Yuu was one of many researchers and other scientists working for Playtime Co.’s founder/creator/CEO, Elliot Ludwig.

They had an accident at the lab, causing them to be unconscious. MC/Yuu should have be taken to the hospital, but Ludwig and everyone decided to use their body for experiments; turning into a living toy as the size of Poppy.

This pushed them off the edge and decided to escape the lab so they can turn themselves in to the police and hopefully an investigation starts and prevent more experiments.

Then one day at the factory, Experiment 1006 escaped and caused a massacre. Since then, the factory was left abandoned with haunting memories.

After decades of being trapped within the factory’s walls, PP!MC/Yuu roamed through the halls, avoiding the other experiments as they’re on the loose. (They can also recognize them as one of the people working on the toys.) Of course they missed a step and fell into the abyss.

Waking up, they found themselves trapped in a coffin until Grim blows open the lid. They both scared each other.

“Unbelievable. An actual talking cat.”

“Who ya callin’ a cat, doll-face?!”

“Hey! It’s not my fault I got stuck in this body! I never ask for it!”

Then Crowley came to find the missing students. PP!MC/Yuu and Grim hid behind the coffin, waited for “that strange bird-man” to leave.

After he leaves, the two decided to follow him.

They were led to the a room filled with people in dark cloaks.

Just as Crowley was informing the Dark Mirror about the absent student, PP!MC/Yuu decides to speaks up.

“Excuse me! I think you’re looking for either one of us.”

Everyone looks down at the living toy.

“I know what you’re thinking. It seems weird to witness a living child’s toy and to be honest, I don’t know how you will react to me standing before you.”

Dead silence. Not a word spoken until Crowley breaks the tension.

“Are you supposed to be the missing student?”

“A student? I already graduated from my university. Honestly, where am I and how I got here?”

After the dorm sorting ceremony, Crowley kept asking PP!MC/Yuu with more questions.

“You’re telling me, I’m stuck in this world filled with magic? Like real magic?”

“Well, Night Raven College is one of the most prestigious academies in Twisted Wonderland.”

“…So like H*gw*arts?”

“What?”

Then after the misunderstanding is cleared up, Crowley “promised” to find their way back home. Until then, it seems PP!MC/Yuu has to stay in the Ramshackle dorm and might as well find a way to survive attending NRC.

Bonus: PP!MC/Yuu wants to keep Grim by their side as a student too because…
