Okay, so anyone who says Tim is a Ravenclaw is WRONG. If you think Tim is a Ravenclaw then you don't understand Hogwarts houses outside of "the cool kids, the smart kids, the nice kids, and the mean kids".

Like you mean to tell me Tim "I blackmailed Batman to make me Robin" Drake isn't a Slytherin?

Tim who has more contingencies than Batman and is the only Robin that can LIE to batman?

Tim decides something needs to happen and then makes it happen. Like that isn't the most Slytherin trait ever.

Slytherin's are cunning, resourceful, and ambitious. If you don't think that describes Tim Drake then you clearly haven't read the Red Robin comics.

I mean let's take a look shall we?

He realizes that batman didn't really die, and not a single person in the entire hero community believes him, so what does he do? He decides to find and save batman himself. AND HE SUCCEEDS.

There's the ambition.

Tim fought seven powerful metahuman assassins, whose abilities he did not know of before, while protecting a civilian, AND WON.

Resourcefulness.

And do we really need to talk about how many times Tim faced Ra's in a battle of wits and won?

Cunning.

So yeah, Tim Drake is a Slytherin and if you still don't think so, fight me.

They’re not going to rebuild Castle Byers because Will can’t rebuild his childhood, which is the reason he destroyed Castle Byers in the first place. He’d been trying to hold on to a level of carefree ignorance that no longer existed for him. The problems Castle Byers saved him from have been replaced by new problems that are bigger and stronger than a child’s fort. He needs to face them differently. Thank you and goodnight

#i think those ai chaeracter rps are goofy as hell #i've played around with them a few times to see what it was all about. they play up the personalization too much it's not THAT customizable #i tried feeding it some sans lines back when i was doing the rp to see if the machine was capable of identifying his speaking style #since i'd essentially done the same thing just manually. i wanted to see how good it could get it #huge disappointment as predicted #i WILL give character.ai one thing though. hilariously not for its characters. there's this one tool called brainstorming that's super hand #you throw ideas/concepts at it & it throws back clarifying questions based on what you sent in. like playing tennis against a wall #essentially a dynamic version of those writing tip lists like what's the significance of this event for x. what conflict arises etc #optimally this is stuff you do with a friend. and truly nothing beats brainstorming with another writer. honest.#but if you're fully throwing spaghetti at the wall in the roughest stages of an idea it's a quick way to cycle through some basic what-ifs #pretty fun toy all things considered. but it stops being useful the moment things start shaping up forreal #answered asks

Flamme's and Frieren's backstory episode is probably my favorite so far. Their relationship makes me want to bite.

These two women that are so so so so so similar. Who loved magic for magic's sake. Who lost everything to demons. Who made the selfless-selfish choice of turning their beloved magic into a weapon for destroying demons. Who can't say with their whole chest anymore that they love magic, because are they worth of it? They, cowardly magicians who deceit and hide their power?

And who still cling on to their love of magic. Quietly. Humbly. Flamme, who in facing death, in looking back at a lifetime of training Frieren into a sleeping weapon, didn't regret it, but did need to leave her with one last lesson. Who taught Frieren her favorite spells for making flowers. Even cowardly magicians can still love magic.

The very understated, quiet understanding between them. My favorite spell creates a field of flowers. Teach me that spell.

Omega's ocular receptors dim, finishing their nightly perimeter scan. Team Dark's quarters return to darkness.

Voice modulator: off. Proceed with final step.

Moving as quietly as his metallic body will allow, Omega trudges towards the two closed doors on the other side of the apartment. He lingers by each in turn, allowing his sensors to delve and scan past them. Two sets of vitals. Stable. Within normal sleep parameters.

Satisfied, Omega enters his room and slumps against the wall amidst his few possessions: spare ammunition, polish, crane game plushes, a singed photograph…

Mission complete. Initiating scheduled stasis.

Separated by 15 years

I think part of what is throwing me off about making this cosplay is that it's easy for some reason.

My first cosplay was done back in the foggy days of high school where I was skipping rope with the burnout line and pushing myself because I was supposed to be so smart. Smart and being good in class were my main features of being a student (and the whole not knowing about my brain being filled with weasels) and honestly despite that cosplay attempt having a similar 'difficulty rating' it was nearly impossible for me to finish as much as I had.

I was up the night before the con holding back a breakdown because I wasn't good enough to do the work. That I had failed to plan my time around being drowned in homework a terrible sleep schedule and the knowledge that I had the basic skills needed to sew this so why the FUCK wasn't I able to do it?

I went to that con missing a jacket and most of the details that would indicate what anime I was cosplaying from, but I still managed to have fun once I got there. I spun the costume from being 'incomplete Roy Mustang' to 'after a night drinking Roy Mustang' to explain the lack of jacket and how my wig was fresh from the mail.

Now I'm in college (on try number 3) making a cosplay of Donquixote Rosinante aka Corazon from One Piece and while the items I'm making are different, like how I've made his shirt instead of a butt cape, the whole process is inherently easier because I now have almost a decade of actually working with my brain instead of trying to live up to all those bright futures that my teachers and other adults saw in me most of my childhood.

Some of my skills have obviously developed, I know more about sewing and how to work with fabrics, but I also know how to recognize when I'm too tired to make meaningful progress. I can see how if I were to push forward and sew just one more seam before bed I'll probably end up making a mistake that would send me into a spiral trying to undo or fix the mistake all while opening the door for new and bigger opportunities to loose control of the situation and either having a breakdown or being upset with the project went and not wanting to touch it ever again.

Anyways I'm not letting myself procrastinate writing a paper by working on my cosplay so instead I wrote all this up instead. Time to set a timer for 10 minutes and write more of my paper before I can take another break.

the issue with AI chatbots is that they should NEVER be your first choice if you are building something to handle easily automated forms.... consider an algorithmic "choose your own adventure" style chatbot first

it really seems to me that the air canada chatbot was intended to be smth that could automatically handle customer service issues but honestly... if you do not need any sort of "human touch" then i would recommend a "fancier google form"... like a more advanced flowchart of issues. If you NEED AI to be part of your chatbot I would incorporate it as part of the input parsing - you should not be using it to generate new information!

#literally everyone sees AI and gets so hard they black out and it ANNOYS me!#prediction/recognition AI is fine i guess it's not without flaws but it is leagues better than generative AI #but also - use the right tool for the job #like the article said it was using ai chatbot to handle customer service. Is it so hard to create a series of pre-made questions to guide #-a customer through the process? (this is called a wizard i think)#(most importantly wizards have been around for pretty much as long as GUIs have)#'oh but you need to hardcode it' yeah and hardcoding stuff came free with having a job. Turn your questions into a series of markdown #-documents if you need someone with no tech skill to come in and put in the questions #don't outsource it to an AI. You are lowering the overall tech literacy of the population here and im not kidding #there are good uses of AI.. Woebot is a really good chatbot that uses AI precisely because it has a lot of human oversight in it #but i really think that AI is something that you better have a PERFECT - not just good - justification for #sorry.... angry tech guy rant.... i swear i dont do this in real life... i just like typing...
