PRO PALESTINIANS 🇵🇸 we must also bring awareness to Congo ! They are going through a silent genocide
LINK TO DONATE ⬇️ to fund doctors who will directly help women who are being r@ped daily and help them heal physically so they can have dignity and as normal a life as humanly possible
What is happening is barbaric and disgusting and I’m ashamed that I have only just learnt about this so recently. I’m sure like me none of you knew about this either (in the West) but now we know we have to talk about it. Keep talking about Palestine but talk about Congo too and Sudan

yes, we shouldn't ignore the terrible events going on right now (Palestine, Sudan, etc), but I think we need some reminders because some of the posts i've been reading have been giving off *extremely* guilt-trippy vibes: Not posting about current events or bad things =/= not caring. Not reblogging =/= not caring. Adding "don't scroll past this" or "reblog this or block me" to posts is guilt-trippy as hell. And lastly, online activism is not the only form of activism.

i know very little abt the stanley cup discourse so maybe im wrong but all the posts i keep seeing about it seem to just be making fun of people/calling them sad for liking to collect stanley cups and tbh i think you guys are being mean for no reason lol
#kat chats#like none of the discourse posts seem to be about like. idk stanley cup business practices or manufacturing#like the discourse posts abt apple for example that point out how they are destroying congo#like the posts telling ppl not to buy the newest iphone center that#but literally all i've seen is just people being like omg it's SO sad that these white people are staking out a target for a cup release#and like. i guess if you wanted to bring up that it's a starbucks collab an starbucks is a morally bankrupt company--#--currently facing a grassroots consumer boycott and buying starbucks branded items to show off is advertising for them#like SURE again i think if the discourse was about this and was centering how starbucks is anti-union & targets pro-ceasefire workers#then yeah i'd be on board#but for real every post i see about it is just 'what if we were mean over a vaguely harmless thing bc its a white person thing'#and idk man. there are worse constructions of whiteness than liking these stupid looking stanley cups#it's the same with the live laugh love shit like LISTEN. is it vapid and ugly? yes#but people are allowed to like vapid and ugly things that's not a crime#and as i grow older i find myself liking less and less this bullying works mentality.#like what if we put our energy towards things that mattered. like protecting palestinians and advocating for an end to occupation#u know?#anyways. sorry again if somehow stanley cups are a racist dogwhistle#but insofar as i know their only sin is that they're fucking ugly

Urgent News.
One of the largest threats to queer safety, especially queer youth on the internet, is the KOSA bill. It is effectively a censorship bill that will make access to the internet for queers, nigh impossible and constantly monitored.
Now of course the council's concerns may lie within the queer, but the bill will also affect pro-Palestinian messages, activism, truthful information, etc. It will make it difficult to look for sexual health information, information on Palestine, Sudan, the Congo, climate change, queer history, queer info in general.
It is a bill that the USA is going to use to effectively stop all the criticism against them, all the information on the genocides committed in the name of capital, and block out safe spaces for queers in and out of the closet.
And it is being discussed whether to have it added to the FAA. What does that mean? The FAA was the same way the Tiktok ban was passed so easily, a way for the US to pass bills without much resistance. So you might be thinking:
What is to be done?
Well for one, if you are a member of the council reading this, you are obligated to reblog this and spread the message far and wide. And we mean it. Whether through posters, posts, shouting, protests, whatever you can do, you must do. Even if you aren't a council member, morally you should still do it.
As evidently the internet is in jeopardy.
Other than that, sign these petitions, spread these links and urge others to do so. Call your representatives, email them, mail them, fax them. And again, urge others to do the same.
You don't need to be American to spread this or sign these. And you should care still even if you aren't American, as this will be a global effect if KOSA passes.

We must do anything and everything to keep the internet safe. For all.
So do not fall into despair that we will fail, and do not become complacent thinking we will win. Become active and make sure we win.
For in the dark we endure, and in the light we fight for who you call impure.

Please learn more than just a Phrase.
I don't expect people to be subject matter experts on issues of global politics.
But false equivalency is rampant in online discourse regarding three major conflicts in the world today. I am using the word conflict in this post, however, when applicable, i will use other words to describe specifics. (Nuance folks... it's a thing)
So i start off with an assumption that most people don't understand the basics of most international events. As an american, i only know some of the stuff that is happening within my own nation. This is not an insult to you, dear reader. Rather, it is a position we all must realize we are in. You do not understand most world issues.
You just don't.
you aren't there. it isn't your life. you don't have the academic background.
I saw a post recently calling for "freedom for Palestine, Sudan, and Congo."
And it bothered me. Not because i am opposed to peace, (how is asking for ceasefire a bad thing?) but rather because i believe simplifying the conflicts with this wording showcases the ignorance of the differences.
Not all conflicts are the same.
In palestine, we have a convoluted mess where two groups claim a territory as home. getting into the in-depth story of this conflict takes time. Foundational elements of it take place thousands of years ago, but the conflict itself is only about 75 years old. So it is a long and short story. Currently, the sovereign state of Israel is engaging in a genocide in Gaza. Asking for freedom for palestinians makes sense. they live in an apartheid state and would like a state of their own. they wish to be free of occupation. you can argue with the details, be pro-israel, or whatever, but that is the basic ask of palestinians. (if you want to get into anti-semetic regional sentiment or the desire of certain groups to eradicate the israeli jewish population or Israel as a nation that's a different topic, not the point of what i'm talking about.)
In the Congo and Sudan, it is a different story.
Let's start with the Congo. First of all, Which Congo?
Let's please understand that there is the Republic of the Congo and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Republic of the Congo is a former french colony. Then there is Democratic Republic of the Congo. Some of us might remember this country as Zaire.
the DRC is the congo we are talking about in the news. This was a former belgian colony and the atrocities committed by the belgians there rival any genocide in human history. i've seen estimates between 5 million and 20 million deaths. some estimates state the population of native congolese were cut in HALF. since the turbulent start of the country after their independence in 1960, the country knew relative peace until the 1990s. Then a mixture of a weak central government and the Rwandan Civil war (which had it's own genocide you may have heard about) spilled over into what was then Zaire. Zaire dissolved, and the DRC took it's place, But the wars have been raging off an on since then. earlier this year, more civil war violence erupted AGAIN. This displaced millions, AGAIN. while the DRC is a bit of an autocratic and repressive regime, the rebel groups are groups with ties with the Rwandan government and the other group with ties to Isis. It's awful all the way down.
Sudan has had an ongoing civil war for over 20 years. I remember this because i helped lead some anti-genocide protests regarding Darfur when i was in college 20 years ago. I've been following this conflict for nearly my entire adult life. you may have heard about this with regards to the Save Darfur coalition regarding the genocide in Darfur. Well, that genocide has continued (albeit with less intensity) for 20 years. the civil war lasted until 2021, but restarted in a different form in late 2023. the conflict is now between two different sides of the military government fighting each other.
It is an awful conflict full of awful leaders. Sudan's government suffered a revolution in 2019 from a dictator, only to have that government overthrown in a coup by the current dictator. The Sudanese military is supported by folks like Russia and North Korea. you might see that among the other countries that support sudan, bunch of communist countries, and you might think "hey, maybe al-Burhan is a leftist".
no... no he is not.
He is a military despot. He has no ties to any real ideology. He just runs sudan as a military dictator.
So who is opposing him?
The Rapid Support Forces. and you may be thinking "ok, so they are the good guys? trying to overthrow the dictator?"
No... They are the ones that instigated the Genocide in Darfur.
This is a situation is "no matter who wins, the people of Sudan lose."
So when folks claim these are all the same. Or wonder why folks talk about one and not the other.
there are reasons. These are very different conflicts. Please learn about them. It matters more than spouting some 4 word slogan calling for "freedom."
Find out what the people of these areas actually need. Learn more about what is happening. My description above is incomplete. I may even get some things wrong. I am trying to keep informed, but I am not an expert, nor do i live there. Raise voices from the region and find out if there are ways to help.

A few reasons why I don't donate money to fundraisers:
I don't have a job (Second degree disability), so I don't earn money
I can't send money online, even if I have it in my wallet, because, you know, physical money is more difficult to send when, for example, you have a bank account and I don't because I don't earn money
Currency, usually it's euros or dollars, I'm from Poland, so I have PLN
I try to share collections, but I have the impression that many of them still haven't reached their goal, which is depressing, because many people from Palestine, Sudan and Congo need help, and I can't help them in any other way than sharing fundraising posts
It is simply depressing that the collections are so slow, many of them are many months old, and we are talking about what is happening in Gaza
Those who sent collections live on very uncertain ground, because by the time they reach their goal, they may no longer be alive and that is a terrifying thought
Because they don't know whether the missile will hit them or whether the Israeli army will take them hostage, the same with Sudan and Congo, plus the prevailing hunger, all this is shaky ground, and the fact that many collections have not reached their goal after many months, or they stopped just before the end… I can't describe it, but it's just that some collections go straight away, and others are so slow that you wonder what the people who created them feel and when they see… All this stress and fear, they just have to feel it
You can't help because of the factors mentioned, so you see how slow it is :/
I just had to write it...

I dont think anything related to politics and current state of the world has ever enraged and disgusted me more than seeing pro-palestine/marxists/communists/leftist supporters be this extremely hypocritical and evil when it comes to Ukraine. Not only that entire breakout of russian invasion of Ukraine was followed by "what about Palestine/Syria/Afghanistan/Iraq" comments on every video/photo of a destroyed Ukrainian home but also even after more than 2 years of russian invasion and what experts call most brutal war since WW2, this same group of people is constantly minimizing and relativizing tragedy and injustice to Ukraine by lowering number of civilian casualities, holding dearly onto chunks of russian propaganda that have already been debunked countless times, taking announcements of Ukrainian officials out of context or simply excusing oppression of Ukrainians by something unrelated (like supposed support of Ukraine for Israel???). All that while screaming about "double standards" or "Western hypocrisy". Why are Ukrainians who support Israel called out more frequently and harshly than Palestinians who support Russia? What makes Palestine, Congo, Sudan, Syria etc more deserving of sympathy and support than Ukraine? Why are Azovstal defenders called nazis while Hamas is praised as freedom fighters? Why is russian oppression of Ukrainians and erasion of Ukrainian identity that lasted for centuries overlooked? I seriously dont understand psychology behind such reasoning.

Any liberal who thinks Biden stands a chance this election and demands that anyone who wants peace in this world need to compromise their values and submit to the authority of the Democratic Party has not learned a single thing about the 1968 DNC rebellion.
You cannot win with a pro war candidate, only peace will land you the election. If you spineless liberals don't want to place this election directly into Trump's hands, then you need to demand the Democrats cease the genocide in Gaza, establish a permanent ceasefire, and dismantle Apartheid, and not only run another candidate in place of Genocide Joe, but one who will end the US sanctioned bombings, killings, and countles injustices in Palestine, Sudan, Congo, West Papua, Tigray, Haiti, and so many more countries across the world. Someone who will end the suffering happening here the stolen land of Turtle Island. You need someone who will compromise with the Left, and steer ,1this country away from dictatorial fascism and towards liberation and decolonization of the failed colonial project that is the American Empire.
You can degrade and reprimand us until your tongue falls off, but unless you demand better from your cherished Blue Corporate Puppets©®™, you will not save anyone. Not black people, not brown people, not queer people, and not even your own worthless hide.
Will you tremble and capitulate to murder and oppression, or will you stand up and fight for the liberation of all people? Will you demand all power to all people? Or will you shrink away and let white supremacy reign free, knowing you'll be spared by your overlords for abandoning your Black brothers and sister, your Native brothers and sisters, your Palestinian brothers and sisters, your Queer brothers, and everyone who has been under attack for too damn long by this cruel empire?
Will you make the right choice?

I had to start a new blog, so I figured I would reintroduce myself.
My name is Zara. I’m a Black Ashkenazi Jewish woman, 36 years of age, who grew up in one of the oldest majority Black synagogues in occupied Turtle Island (USA). Being a Black woman, and a Jewish woman, have shaped my entire identity and walk through life. I am proudly Black and Jewish. I have been on the “birthright” trip, and can attest first hand how that is two weeks of pure Zionist propaganda, and how none of this is about Judaism.
We do not need a country to all be shuffled into in order to be safe. Israel does not protect Jewish people, and it never has. Palestinian sovereignty is not and never will be antisemitic, and From the River to the Sea is not a call for genocide against the Jews. It is a call for liberation, a declaration of decolonization. Is “from sea to shining sea” a call for genocide? Or is it a declaration that the land from the Pacific to the Atlantic is the USA?
White westerners get to hide their antisemitism by “supporting Israel” and thus supporting the idea of shuffling Jews to the Middle East. They get to claim they are protecting a historically marginalized people, while sticking us on the other side of the world, where they can “be over there, and they can fight amongst themselves far away from us”
Israel is a settler state. They came in and murdered people to steal their homes. Occupied the land. Began controlling all access to resources. And then started committing genocide when Hamas retaliated. What Hamas did is not just unsurprising, it was inevitable. Tell me that you, in Podunk USA would let people come steal your house. Tell me you wouldn’t use the “stand your ground” or “castle doctrine” to shoot the thieves coming to rob you. Tell me you’ll voluntarily give your home to an indigenous American. You simply cannot. Explain to me how Jews living in Israel who stand against genocide are being arrested, beaten, exiled from their communities. Explain to me how they’re not an ethno state when they do not legally recognize interfaith marriage.
Israel is an apartheid state, Israel has its hands in the worst atrocities the world over. Yes, white Jew reading this in Brooklyn, what is happening to Palestinians will always be far worse than the pro Palestine protestor calling you a colonizer when you inserted yourself against their cause, and then wanted to pretend you were attacked for being Jewish. Zionism ≠ Judaism, and the world knows that now.
Even in the context of those arguments to indigenous to the land, please read a single book or paper published by an indigenous scholar. Multiple people can and are indigenous to the same regions.
Anyway, it’s Free Palestine. Free Congo. Free the Sudan. Release the chains from all oppressed and colonized people. Agitate, educate, organize. And long live the intifada

Why is pro-watermelon 🍉 gang keep saying this is the first time they are seeing a live genocide and still nobody cares?? No this isn’t your first time!
Women around the world have been slaughtered, murdered, raped, and facing all other kinds of oppression since the dawn of time. There is already a world’s oldest and biggest genocide that is still happening today. And that is femicide.
But nobody seems to care about that because according to them there’s a "gender war" going on. I wonder if these watermelon people would be protesting and boycotting the same way if it was only the Palestinian women suffering in this genocide.
None of these people ever fought with this much vehemence for women in iran, for afghan women, for sudanese women, women in Congo, and all other women who are suffering around the world.
In fact, they’re busy glamorising terrorists like Hezbollah and Khamenieh (however the fuck you spell it) and mourning the deaths of the likes of iran’s terrorist leader who died in helicopter crash just because these bearded devils chanted "free-palestine" two, three times.
More than seventy per cent of the people who have been killed in this genocide are women and children. But the only time i see the pro-Palestine m@les talking about it is when they wanna blame it all on feminists. "WhErE aRe tHe fEmInIsTs?" "WhErE aRe tHe liBerAlS?"
Just shut the fuck up and tell me where are all the anti-feminist men and women who love to say m@n should be the leaders?? Where are all the muslim and christian conservative bigots who keep saying shit like women should obey men and men should lead?? These are your leaders now!
Muslim women commenting "BoYcOTT" under every female influencer’s post promoting an israeli brand while at the same time cooking and cleaning like slaves for their husbands so these men could become the next big leaders oppressing women using their power.
If you wanna boycott anything, then boycott these men. Stop coddling them and stop doing anything for them. Instead, use all that energy in making yourself a powerful leader.
But no, FemInIsts aRe sO eVil aNd wRonG fOr tElliNg wOmEn tO sToP coNfOrMinG tO gEndEr rOLes. FeMinIsTs hAve rUiNed EvEryThInG fOr wOmEn. ThEy aRe sOciEty bReAkeRs!
It’s not the feminists fault that there’s a genocide going on, it’s the men’s. Men are the ones who vote for these male politicians. Men are the ones who worship these male leaders. Men are the ones who ruin everything for women. The enemy is exposed yet your rage is directed in the wrong direction.
There’s not one male world leader who is not destroying the planet with his evilness. But all i see is comparisons being made about which one of them is more evil; the islamic ones or the zionist ones or the white ones??
Listen! Idgaf about your free palestine land or the entire boycott list of brands. I don’t even care about your brave palestinian m@les dying either. Y’all cry about pregnant palestinian women having a hard time and feminists doing nothing for them, but who the fuck is impregnating them????
Women of Palestine should be freed from both israel and Palestinian men. That’s just what i care about. And women of Israel should be freed from these men too. No, they don’t deserve to be raped or killed just because they support Israel. It’s not even palestine vs Israel, it’s men vs women; where men are the oppressors on both sides and women are the victims on both sides. Every war has always been a genocide against women.

If you didn't know, a lot of huge social media apps like twitter(x), Instagram etc. are silencing pro Palestine users! It is more important now than ever to post about Palestine and keep the discussion going! Some users are even being banned for pro Palestine tweets and all that. However, don't let this discourage you! Do not let this go unnoticed! Palestine will be free. Do not forget about Palestine or Congo or Sudan or Myanmar or China or Tigray. They are trying to silence Palestinian voices, don't let them get away with it! Ethnic studies courses in Santa Ana are putting courses discussing Palestine on hold. Keep talking about Palestine! It really does help!
