today was great! i’ve recently started practicing yoga in the mornings, and i’m loving it so much. other than yoga, i make sure to do physical activity during the day, and today it was walking.

after that, i spent the afternoon planning my upcoming academic year and the rest of my plan & goals for the remainder of this summer.

🌟 i’m using an excel sheet to track my performance in each course i’m studying. basically, it helps me determine which topics i’m confident with and which topics i’m struggling with, so i know what topics to study and work on everyday (start with the weakest topic).

just finished 'east of eden', and the urge to write a wholeass dissertation on it is STRONG lmao. i'm so happy i decided to purchase 'grapes of wrath' earlier this week, i can't wait to explore more of steinbeck's brilliant mind 🤍

Oh how I’ve missed the school library… Sometimes I worry that I’ve been missing out on the whole “university experience” by choosing the school and major that I did, but then I remember how lucky I am to live close to a good school. I can literally drive here at any time, which combined with the money saved by not dorming is pretty good too, even if it’s not exactly the typical college life I envisioned in high school.

I need to remember to be grateful for even being able to attend university more, especially considering that my parents didn’t have the same educational opportunities that I have right now. It’s just so much easier to forget education is a privilege when suffering through assignments and exams compared to now because it’s summer break 😵‍💫😵‍💫

the mock debate was rescheduled to tomorrow instead so i got more research done! also oats have become my favourite easy meal like they're so filling but so easy to make

July 27th- romanticising my life

woke up a bit late and hungover but overall happy:)

morning walk by the lake

PROCRASTINATED instead of studying (this was supposed to be my first locked in day so this is so ironic)

had an early lunch

actually got some work done (THANK GOD) approx 3hrs of studying

left to run some errands in the city

evening walk with my dog after dinner

printed academic work

time to copy some notes from earlier today. It’s almost 11pm but I’m determined to do it before midnight that way i will have achieved a decent deal of studying today

I truly don’t know what I was doing today, it just wasn’t working out which made me overthink things.

I’m back to being me now, which is a relief💋

hello! i said i wld update more but i forgot. (im trying). this is me trying to revise french before school starts again on monday… im excited to see everyone again but im not ready for summer break to end and havign to start studying again… im taking lesser courses this semester as they are themselves pretty heavy so i decided not to overload, but i still am quite apprehensive about the workload because they are all reading heavy. quite unsure about french 3 too as i did quite badly on french 2: made it through but just barely and i have only just decided to revise before the new content starts in a few days and honestly im not feeling very confident but i have to try i guess!

read my third ferrante of the year (altered my brain chemistry, per usual), and my first ever annie ernaux!! 📓 now onto 'first love' by ivan turgenev, a russian classic i've been meaning to read for years now.

Last night i felt a little on edge bcs my brain suddenly figured that i might not be able to complete my syllabus before exams and i got anxious, even the meds didn't help so i had to re-analyse and make a fresh time-table (i am a little behind)

Made flashcards

Reviewed 13 cards

I'v got to start memorising more bcs my exams are sort of rote-learning based and i have got a lot of questions to learn :')
