another weird gender piece. understanding the way i experience(d) dysphoria has been largely a retrospective journey, but i often return to my 20-year-old ear worm: "suicide is painful" - ONSIND

when i was initially listening to that song, it was mostly about the grief of releasing my own pretensions about the kind of person i was and trying to figure out what it was that was gnawing at me so terribly. i am still very much answering those questions, but it feels much less daunting now. and i feel much more compassion towards myself, including who i once was, than i ever used to.

extras: The albatrosses stem from the broad number of female same-sex lifelong couples. The bucks and whales stem from documented homosexual behaviour of the species. A kobudai is also featured in the third tile changing sex from female to male.

I thought the earth remembered me, she took me back so tenderly, arranging her dark skirts, her pockets full of lichens and seeds. I slept as never before, a stone on the riverbed, nothing between me and the white fire of the stars but my thoughts, and they floated light as moths among the branches of the perfect trees. All night I heard the small kingdoms breathing around me, the insects, and the birds who do their work in the darkness. All night I rose and fell, as if in water, grappling with a luminous doom. By morning I had vanished at least a dozen times into something better.

hi hi !!! made a new art blog so i could post more nonfandom stuff / broadly try and reach more folks :3 still gonna be very silly and chaos mode, but i also do wanna try and take art(tm) a lil more seriously. Sometimes. i'm a fat, queer, nonbinary grad student who loves drawing silly little gay people and fucks hard with warm tones and static overlays xx i vibe very much with cute / "cottagecore" aesthetics but also don't stray away from 18+ themes in my art. i like to depict realistic, intimate queer bodies and relationships <3

Top surgery journal #2: my thought process was "heehee they took my tits" and I was so happy about that I couldn't stop laughing but suddenly I realized it was thanks to my surgical team that I was happy so I NEEDED to thank my nurse RIGHT THEN but I was still too high to figure out how to do that
