Type Maps for the Captive Prince trilogy by C.S. Pacat 🍊🌴
Prince Laurent of Vere is surrounded by words from Prince's Gambit, and Damen is surrounded by words from The Summer Palace. I recently read this series and loved it so much.

Well, it's actually here. Though some of you may know me as Phyona, the fic writer behind The Last Drop, A Need for Breathing, and Nerve Endings, I've finally completed my first original novel after 10 years of work.
It's a queer, creepy urban fantasy novel, featuring psychic trauma, body horror, a murder mystery, and a tragic love story. A bit of a departure from my sickfics, but writing slash taught me everything I know (way more than the whole MSc in Creative Writing ever did, frankly). If you vibe with A Song of Achilles, CS Pacat, NBC Hannibal, and Stephen King, this one is for you.
Pre-orders are up now on:
Amazon
Barnes & Noble

Liam O'Connor is special. When a Fissure opens in someone's mind, he's the one who sews it up again. When a parasite creeps through that Fissure, Liam is the exterminator who purges it. And when Liam loses everything, he's the coward who runs. But when he moves to an old house in coastal New England, hoping for isolation, something from his past follows. Fissures start tearing open; minds are devoured. People die. It's not long before Liam realizes a murderer has come to Shoalport, and he's the only one who can stop them.
Well, him, and the man who keeps haunting his dreams.
INCREDIBLE character art by: @quelmdn
I never could have done this without the support of my fic readers. Your kind words meant everything to me <3

✨ SUMMARY ✨
Damen is a warrior hero to his people, and the rightful heir to the throne of Akielos. But when his half-brother seizes power, Damen is captured, stripped of his identity, and sent to serve the prince of an enemy nation as a pleasure slave.
Beautiful, manipulative, and deadly, his new master, Prince Laurent, epitomises the worst of the court at Vere. But in the lethal political web of the Veretian court, nothing is as it seems, and when Damen finds himself caught up in a play for the throne, he must work together with Laurent to survive and save his country.
For Damen, there is just one rule: never, ever reveal his true identity. Because the one man Damen needs is the one man who has more reason to hate him than anyone else…

The Watchmaker of Filigree Street by Natasha Pulley
1883. Thaniel Steepleton returns home to his tiny London apartment to find a gold pocket watch on his pillow. Six months later, the mysterious timepiece saves his life, drawing him away from a blast that destroys Scotland Yard. At last, he goes in search of its maker, Keita Mori, a kind, lonely immigrant from Japan. Although Mori seems harmless, a chain of unexplainable events soon suggests he must be hiding something. When Grace Carrow, an Oxford physicist, unwittingly interferes, Thaniel is torn between opposing loyalties. The Watchmaker of Filigree Street is a sweeping, atmospheric narrative that takes the reader on an unexpected journey through Victorian London, Japan as its civil war crumbles long-standing traditions, and beyond. Blending historical events with dazzling flights of fancy, it opens doors to a strange and magical past. Fantasy, historical fiction, mystery, science fiction, adult

I can't really cope with queer books
I'm not sure why but books with queer romance just make me so hysterical in the sense that I go FERAL for them, like just screaming crying throwing up because they IDK LOOKED at each other and now I just can't live under the weight of their love because it's unbearable to know that I'll never get to have that
AND IT ONLY HAPPENS WHEN THE ROMANCE IS QUEER WHAT IS WRONG RIGHT WITH ME
Anyway, C S Pacat and her two years window of publishing can go to hell how am I supposed to FUNCTION after that ending??????
