As far as I’m aware, there is no Star Wars Top Gun au and that makes me very sad. Can we please stop for a moment and imagine Luke Skywalker as a trans queer navy pilot? Can we imagine the sexual tension he could have with the several naval pilots around him including, but not limited to, Biggs Darklighter, Han Solo, and Din Djarin? Can we imagine the sheer gayness of Luke surrounded by muscular men playing football on the beach? Can we imagine the drama that ensues when Luke discovers his father, the esteemed ex-naval officer who was presumed dead, is now a terrorist? Please, for my sake, someone write this fic.

Asexuality is defined as an orientation for people who feel little to no sexual attraction for any gender.

P.S.: Asexual ≠ Aromantic. Some aces don't feel romantic attraction (more known as Aromantic Asexuals or just aroaces) but both labels have different meanings. There are aces who wish to fall in love and be in a romantic relationship (they can identify themselves as homoromantic, heteromantic, biromantic, panromantic, etc.).

P.S. 2: There's an asexual spectrum for those aces who find themselves in the gray area of asexuality. This group includes aces who feel a small level of attraction, those who feel it rarely or only in very specific conditions and those whose identity fluctuates from time to time between strictly asexual and allosexual.

After S3 we are clearly entering the home sweet home DinLuke era and I am so much looking forward to it.

Before part of me moves on to this new setting, I would like to thank all of you fanfiction writers for your stories, in which Din is the Mand’alor or struggles with the burden of becoming the leader of Mandalore or even only wields the darksaber. From what I have read so far, I enjoyed them a lot. I still think Din would have been great in this role, although now with the latest S3 ending I am happy for him. Best is, that becoming a clan of three is so much easier now. Anyway, many thanks for all your amazing stories. <3

Queer Coding Pt 1 | "Stop making everyone gay!!!" | Important Note: The LGBTQIA+ community is not a monolith; opinions on labels, language, and interpretations are always evolving. Queerness can take many shapes, and no one can truly quantify what it means to be authentically yourself besides you. You do not have to look or act a certain way to be queer enough. While "Queer Coding" can border on "Queerbating," and the stereotypes both draw on can be harmful, many queer folks have reclaimed and embraced the tropes that were historically weaponized against them. Transcript: 1. HISTORY: The Motion Picture Production Code (enforced in Hollywood for decades) prohibited “perverse” subjects such as homosexuality. This led to the portrayal of "queer coded" characters that were never allowed to be explicitly queer. The subtextual way identities were previously forced to be portrayed has bled into modern interpretations of queer characters.

2. DESCRIPTION: What exactly is "queer coding" and what does it look like? "Coding" refers to the choices made when creating a character's unique set of mannerisms, traits, and external qualities. Non-Exhaustive list of characteristics that can be "queer coded:" clothing, style, family, hair, jewellery, speech patterns, behaviour, media consumption, profession, and interpersonal relationships.

3. EXAMPLES: While none of the characteristics historically associated with queerness are exclusive to the LGBTQIA+ community, when compounded and given context, they can act as recognizable markers for queer creators and audiences to find themselves represented in media. It's important to note that many of these characteristics were originally portrayed and seen as negative. Villains were commonly "queer coded" to let audiences know said characters were evil. a) Bright hair cut at untraditional lengths or styled in uncommon ways. b) Strong found family, fresh starts with a new identity, and/or choosing your own name. c) Behavioral traits like extreme empathy or aggressive assertiveness, when displayed in opposition to idealized Western gender roles, and paired with characters being othered by their surroundings, is another common "queer coded" allegory.
