It’s actually kind of scary the percentage of men who think women shouldn’t have the right to vote. Far too many of them have the sense to not say it in public, so we aren’t usually aware of how bad it is, but go on any anonymous platform or manage to integrate into their private spaces and suddenly you’ll gain a new perspective and unlock the 17th layer of fear and anxiety towards men. So many of them genuinely believe women shouldn’t have any rights at all, and these people are walking around spreading their brain rot to children, teaching in classrooms, setting policy at hospitals, writing legislation, etc. They affect every facet of our lives with their poisonous beliefs and thoughts about what women are or should do.

Now seriously, I feel like most self proclaimed anarchists aren’t actually anarchists. Same with self proclaimed communists. The amount of “communists” who support Sex Work is insane.

Is there actually a possibility for a TRA not to say that RadFems are fascists/nazis/right wingers while arguing with us? I don’t think so.

And he “joked” that he walks into women’s rooms… He tries to defend his predatory behavior with that “hE doEs iT tO mAkE kArenS mAd” and other bullshit. This is another male who threatens women’s safety, yet he claims to be a feminist… How can you be women’s ally if you threaten women’s safety, make “jokes” about disrespecting women’s privacy, think that being aware of the fact that women are (adult human) females is reducing women to their reproductive organs, call female feminists “Karens” and many more?

He’s another example of why I don’t automatically trust men after they claim to be feminists. Because a lot, if not most of them are practically no different than men who freely admit their misogyny. What I observed about these “feminist” men, is that they always say something very misogynistic, and when women call them out for their misogyny, they reply with bullshit like “iT’s jUsT a jOke!”

We don’t care if “it’s just a joke”, you’re still male. You seriously think that calling yourself feminist as a male gives you a right to be misogynistic?

Funny because 1) my religion is a personal and cultural belief system that I keep separate from my political beliefs (also I'm sure you wouldn't make that comment to a Jewish or Muslim person) and 2) radical feminism is not only real feminism, but the most effective feminism, having been predominant in the second wave and winning women the rights to contraception, abortion, no fault divorce, being able to charge their spouse for rape, being able to open a bank account on their own, and much more! I've been frustrated with the beauty hypocrisy on radblr. I seen many posts how radblr say it hates the beauty industry and plastic surgery... Everyone including feminists and radfeminists say shit like "be yourself, be confident, plastic surgery is bad" but as an fat girl since early childhood and without trendy beauty features, I was definitely treated as an unworthy ogre by pretty much the whole world. Radfems on here are like: beauty doesn't matter! if you're fat that means you're ugly and revolting! just accept it and be happy! 😍😌 I hate that everyone trying to make me accept the idea that Im ugly and an ugliest skinny fucktard is attractive by the default... And that im undesirable, that every inch of my body is repulsive and offensive to all the humanity... And if i want to be considered human i need to be at least 60 kg...Radblr says that it hates modern beauty standards but has the same understanding of "beauty" as your typical tasteless male gym rat. Plastic surgery is way more than just "fixing" your ethnic nose. I definately want to change pretty much my whole face in the future. And i know the hypocrites who call me unnatractive now will laugh in my face and tell "just be myself" after the surgeries including all the "i hate beuty industry" feminists. Women are genuinely so much funnier than men at every level, idk why or how men convinced us that they’re the funny sex. Men’s jokes are always overdone, stolen, or downright horrific in some way. Women have command of natural, situational comedy in such a masterful way? I wouldn't say I was "involved with rad feminism and left" so much as like, radfeminist ideas- which are still currently popular today- were also popular among a lot of the queer & trans feminists I was surrounded by as a teen around 10 years ago. The difference for me is that I've become more aware of what it looks like when it isn't blatantly transphobic, as opposed to then, when I couldn't recognize radfeminism unless it was specifically and vocally trans-exclusionary radfeminism.

I'm still happy to talk about it and answer your questions, I just want to be clear where that line is for me. Folks who have been more directly involved are going to have a very different and uniquely valuable insight, and I don't want to mislead anyone or misrepresent what kind of perspective I can offer.

While I am celibate today for feminist and safety reasons, as a teenager I was abstaining from premarital sex-- as are most women who bring up celibacy of any kind. Those discussions about how the male view of women has morphed from private property to public property are dead-on. The first reaction is to examine and compare you like breeding stock. Always with the supposition that this entire question hinges on pleasing the looming hypothetical man, and never yourself. Baeddelism is not trans-inclusive radical feminism but masculinism for amab trans/gnc people.

Baeddelism explictly or (more often) implicilty applies class analysis to ASAB and uses some of the language often employed in radical feminism, however at its core, baeddelim is not radfeminist but a masculinist ideology because it sees AFAB people ( "TME" i.e. transmisogyny-exempt) as an oppressor class targeting trans/gnc AMABs ("TMA", i.e'transmisogyny affected) on the basis of their ASAB. This mra idea is not explicitly stated by baeddels for obvious strategic reasons, as overt masculinism would immediately trigger a feminist/afab backlash against them. A radfem framework would have framed afabs as oppressed by amabs while baeddelism performs a theoretical inversion of the oppressor/oppressed dichotomy within the asab oppression context.

The aim of this ideology is to fortify amab solidarity among amab trans/gnc people and even cis men- who are seen not only as amabs and therefore as potential allies but also as potential transfems- but also to justify and hide amab supremacy (and therefore afab subjugation), and to reduce afab class power to the point where AFAB people don't have the power to effectively fight against amab domination.

Baeddelism functions to maintain amab control over afabs as a group. That's why baeddels are so incredibly hostile to afab solidarity, to the recognition of afabs as a group, to ASAB conscious feminisms, that's why they try to conceptually erase the existence of the afab class through various sex-blind frameworks, that's why they push ASAB consciousness (what they would normally recognize as "bioessentiasm")) In favor of amabs while denying it to afabs, that's why they do everything in their power to prevent or destroy socio-political organization based on being afab.

I’m really begging any radfeminists following me to not listen to people in your circles who are telling you reading theory men have written is inherently a waste of time. they are admitting there is loads of women’s theory, including feminist and radfeminist theory, that they will never understand because they haven’t given themselves any foundation in it. of course you should read women’s ideas but an understanding of capitalism alongside an understanding of patriarchy is pretty integral, and many women writing in this area, even those who aren’t marxists, know you must take on board and understand existing theories in order to forge forward with better ones. this is how it works… don’t fall for this intellectually limiting worldview lmao
