Discovered Beacon Pines and absolutely loved it

So the other day I started an indie game called Beacon Pines.

I had never heard of it before, I only got it because it appeared in my recommandations after playing Night in the Woods, and the aesthetic looked nice.

So I started the game without any expectations. I only played a few hours til now, but it turns out I absolutely love it! Graphics are beautiful, the soundtrack is nice, the characters are cool, and the story is awesome.

Best part is clearly the game mechanics and the way it uses storytelling. The concept is super fun and original, at least for my part I never found another game that makes you play with narration that way.

If you liked NITW I think you'll definitely enjoy this game! And if you never played NITW well you can still check on Beacon Pines.

aside from all the spatort happening right now-

I recently watched Was wir fürchten on zdf and oh my it’s so good. Five days after I watched it for the first time, I finished the series for the third time and wrote a two pages long interpretation about one scene.

it’s a series with six episode à 45 minutes and this is a huuuge recommendation for everyone to watch it.

It’s a teenage drama, it’s scary, many jumpscares and it has very beautiful scenes, it’s angst and cute but mostly heart wrenching. Plotwise-

Doch Lisa scheint der Wahrheit auf unkonventionelle Weise näher zu kommen: Das Reich der Toten nimmt Kontakt zu ihr auf und will ihr offenbar etwas mitteilen.

Simon hat dagegen mit anderem zu kämpfen. Sein strenggläubiger Vater Karl ist hinter sein Geheimnis gekommen: Simon ist homosexuell. Unter dem Druck seines Vaters entscheidet sich Simon für eine Konversionstherapie.

Hi! Could someone recommend some stories that are similar to Masquerade Kiss? It can be another otome game, anime/manga/webtoon, or even movies/series/dramas. I want to read or watch a similar story with an interesting plot and deep stories, but not too complicated. The storyline has to be logical/coherent and well written. The characters must be strong and have interesting personalities, good developments and if possible, good relationships too. More K-drama rec, yo!

On Netflix this time:

* True beauty.

I was a bit unsure at first (I'd say give it 2 episodes) because I was afraid it would be this uber cliché of high school love triangle, but it's actually less stereotypical than that, the way the manga Mars is compared to classic shoujo manga (side note, go read Mars if you haven't already).

You get attached to the characters, the couple is absolutely adorable once together, there are several lovely friendships in it (I'm such a sucker for friendships!) and more than a few great supporting characters.

* Maskgirl.

Saw this one back in September but was recently reminded of it and it is GREAT! NOT a fluff story at all. VERY unexpected twist, like the story isn't what you're going to expect from the synopsis AT ALL. The story telling is unusual, the actors (mostly actresses) are great, go go GO!
