Sorry that I have to be serious here a moment.
Just seen two blogs, that I love, reply to two different anon requests that I had seen word for word in my asks. Both of the different asks. Not going to lie I’m a little hurt by the actions of these anons.
Look I don’t believe that you shouldn’t send the same request to another writer but at least change your request slightly or better yet tell the writers you sent it to that you have sent the same request to multiple writers.
It’s really disheartening and discouraging to see the same request, and even worse word for word requests, for a writer especially those who is a small blog like me that don’t get a ton of requests. Getting requests makes my day and it takes me a while to write them. My answered request fics have been an average of 2k words each which is equivalent to a 4 page essay and I really take my time to craft my words for our enjoyment.
To both the anons, I have deleted your requests due to this and to not ruin the other writers days. I would have written them for you if you had gone about it a different way.
Anyways… I have now updated the requests info in my owlery. Please do feel free to send requests my way~

Hey! This is the person that did the inquisitor request. I just wanted to say I didn’t mean to hurt anyone’s feelings at all! I’ve tried requesting things to one person and get no response, so I didn’t think it was bad to ask multiple people I admire but I see how it can be rude. Sorry if I offended you!!
Hi, anon!
So I want to start off by saying how much I genuinely appreciate this apology message. It's not easy for a lot of people to own up to their mistakes - especially ones that they didn't necessarily realize they were making - so truly, thank you for coming forward and saying something. It means a lot to me, and I'm sure it means a lot to other writers who might read this, too.
The rest is going under a cut because it got kind of long.
I believe you when you say that you didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. Unfortunately -in my own inbox and from posts I've seen others make - I've seen what anon messages look like when they are intentionally mean or hurtful, and the request that you sent was not like those at all. Nothing that you said in the actual request was offensive, whereas there are people who use the anon function just to be nasty.
But that doesn't mean that it was the best way to go about making this request, and I think you understand that now based on you sending this message, which again I thank you for doing. Sending the same request to multiple writers just hoping someone writes it makes us feel like you see us as interchangeable, like we don't all have our own unique writing style and voice. It makes us feel like you see us as on demand streaming services, like if Hulu doesn't have the show you're looking for you can just change the channel and go try Netflix or Amazon Prime. But we're not on demand streaming services, we are people who have lives and jobs and pets and families and other interests and obligations and we choose to share the stories that we write with the rest of the world for free.
I'm sorry that you've not had luck making requests in the past. It can be a bummer to not be able to find the types of stories that you want to read. You can, of course, try your hand at writing it yourself. That can seem daunting if you've never tried to write a story before, but it sounds like you have pretty specific ideas for plots and characters so it might be worth a shot / a fun challenge for yourself. But if you're not interested in giving that a go, here are some tips from a writer on how to get your requests written:
Make sure that the writer that you're sending the request to takes requests. Some people put that info right on their page but others don't. It doesn't hurt to ask before sending a request. Just shoot a message like: "Hey, I've read some of your work and really enjoy your writing. I was wondering if you took requests and if you do, would it be alright if I sent one?" Most people, if you ask nicely, will answer nicely, even if the answer is no.
Be willing to wait. A lot of writers, even if they openly encourage requests, already have a lot on their creative plates. They might be trying to finish a wip they've been working on for weeks or months or even years. They might love the request that you sent in, but might not be able to work on it right away because they're focusing on other things. It might have to simmer on the back burner while they think about the best way to execute it, so try to be patient whenever you make requests. You can even add in something like : "I know you're probably working on other things so don't feel rushed or pressured!" That goes a long way to help a writer feel appreciated for the work they are doing, as well as encouraged to continue working on things both new and old.
Think about the request that you want to make and try to figure out which writer that you've read work from might be the best fit for it. One size doesn't typically fit all for... well for anything, except maybe those giant foam finger things they sell at sporting events. Chances are if you read a lot of fic from a lot of different writers, you've started to figure out what their style is like and what types of tropes and themes they tend to write. A more targeted request based on matching the nature of the prompt with a writer who you think will do well with it has a better chance of getting written, because it shows the writer that you see them and their strengths as a writer and you think that the challenge you're presenting is one that they can handle really well. You can say something like "I read your story XXX and the way that you wrote Din's emotional response to the plot twist was excellent. I think you would be great at writing {insert request here} because of how you handled that story."
I hope you found this helpful, anon, and I hope that going forward you are able to make requests and get to read the types of things you are looking for. And I truly hope that you have a lovely night!

Wait iam but my english is trash i don't really understand what you mean. Please forgive me🥺🥺🙏🙏
Hi, I am going to try and explain as clearly as possible, but there are a few things that are very specific words to Tumblr and it's request culture, so you may have to put this through a translator for help. So your request was what I call a "regular" request for a headcanon (bulletpoint sentences) or a scenario (a full story). Now before you send a request to a writer, you should check their rules (usually in their bio, or in a pinned post on top of their page) and see what they accept, what they don't accept. (For example, the pregnancy you asked for is something not all writers will do, since it can be a sensitive or triggering subject! So that is why you check the rules beforehand). Now, if you go to my rules, you will see that my requests are open (meaning you can send me something) but they are only open for my current event (that's linked in the previous ask, but you can also find it by clicking here).
An event comes with special, different rules than normal requests. The rules for such an event are usually in the post that has the information. In the case of my event, I am only writing alphabet headcanons, one letter per character at a time.
So you're not wrong for sending in a request, just not one according to the rules at the moment.
Also, since you may be a little more new to requesting on tumblr, I wrote this request etiquette a long time ago, but most of the points still stand! :)
I hope this explains it better.

A Proper Etiquette request based on this prompt from @scatter-mind001: (Reader is nervous about initiating intimacy but wants to work up the courage but doesn’t know how to express it properly, so, throughout the day, she tries to drop hints to snuggle times, but then butterflies take over and she runs away and Rygel’s sexual frustration just builds up and eventually explodes and reader is like, “I just wanted cuddles but this is better.”)
Cw: anxiety, dry humping, size difference, allusions to sexual content but it fades to black pretty fast
word count: 1k
Adjusting had been hard. Rygel had never pushed you, let you move entirely at your own pace, but it was still a slow, frustrating process.
You’d gotten used to everyone else pretty quickly. You didn’t judge, passively watched everyone else going about their lives.
It was the doing that was hard. The manners that had been drilled into you were not so easily dropped.
You were almost certain that half the reason it was so daunting was that everyone else was so used to it. They all just understood what they should be doing. You had to work for all of it, push yourself past boundaries you’d never imagined having to tear down.
Today, it was touch. You’d gotten better at initiating it in private, Rygel always quick to reciprocate, but in public it was a different story.
It’s not like you never touched in public. On the contrary, Rygel loved publicly showing his affections for you. It was initiating them that you were struggling with.
You could never shake the idea that you were doing it wrong. Rygel was patient and kind but in public there were too many people, watching, staring, inevitably judging you for doing it all wrong.
Your hand shifted over to his arm, trying to look casual but you dropped it in a second. You were certain you were being clumsy and obvious, that what everyone else could do so casually looked alien and childish on you.
When Rygel did it, there was confidence behind it. He knew he was doing it right and you were more than happy to hide behind that confidence and follow his lead.
But that wasn’t what today was supposed to be about.
So you tried again.
Your next attempt was on your way to dinner. You leaned against his side, doing your best to mimic the way he pulled you into him so often as you walked. He looked down at you curiously, with no judgment in his eyes, but even that felt like too much scrutiny and you drew away once more.
Dinner didn’t go any better.
You thought the shield of the table might be good, make everything feel a little less public despite the dozen people in the room with you, talking away, barely taking notice of your presence.
You started small, shifting your knee to the side to touch Rygel’s. The motion was entirely hidden, under the table, but you drew quickly away anyways, feeling far too exposed regardless.
You knew why this was going so poorly. Every failed attempt left you flustered and embarrassed and pushing forwards so persistently kept those emotions brewing, amplified every time you tried and failed again.
Rygel had decidedly noticed that something was going on with you because the second you pulled away, his arm shifted behind your back, a steady presence you happily leaned into as he pulled you closer to him.
The second you leaned into his touch you were being pulled even further, the feeling of the chair disappearing from under you as he shifted you effortlessly into his lap.
Your face warmed but you trusted his judgment. No one was staring and part of you wondered if they ever had been at all or if your brain was simply that determined to thwart you.
You settled against his firm chest, his hands roving up and down your arms in a gesture that you were sure was meant to be comforting but only served to fluster you even further.
When you were done with your meal he was pulling you off down the hallways
The second you were alone you let out a hushed, “I’m sorry about all that.”
He cocked his head to the side at the statement, looking bewildered at you. “Sorry for what? For teasing me?”
“For… no of course not, for adjusting to all this so slowly. I wasn’t trying to tease you, I was just trying to get more comfortable touching you. The goal was to initiate cuddles, maybe? Or just any sort of physical affection I suppose. I guess I didn’t really think too much on the end goal, I was more focused on just doing.”
He let out a hearty, deep laugh. “You’re too sweet. If you want to cuddle you only need to ask.”
You huffed. “But I don’t want to have to ask. I want to be like everyone else here, to just be able to do things.”
“You will. These things take time, you know that, it’s no more your fault than it is mine when I make a fool of myself in front of your people.”
“You don’t make a fool of yourself.”
“Felt like I did.”
“I promise it felt worse than it was.”
“Oh really?” he said, giving you a pointed look. “I wonder if there’s maybe someone else who is in a similar situation who could do to hear that bit of advice.”
You hated that he was right. “Wait, but you were saying something about me teasing you. Can we go back to that please?”
He cooed at you, hand sliding under your jaw to keep you looking up at him. “Aw have I put ideas in your head? Tell me what you want from me.”
“You’re being mean,” you said with a pout.
“I’m being mean? You’re the one who hasn’t stopped touching me all day.”
“I’m sorry.”
“Don’t apologize. You know, if you want to work on showing affection in public, I’m sure I can help with that.”
“Now who’s teasing?”
He chucked. “Call it revenge.”
He didn’t make you wait long. You didn’t think he had it in him, to make you wait. If he did, you had yet to see it.
He pulled you against him, into a kiss, hunched over to be able to meet you where you stood. You melted against him, your body relaxing easily into the familiar shape.
You felt his bulge pressed against you as well. He was already hard and you realized that maybe you’d been affecting him more than you’d intended.
He pulled away altogether too soon for your taste, looking down at you with a glint in his eye.
“Oh,” he said. “But, you wanted to cuddle. Far be it from me to thwart your plans.”
“Don’t you dare.”
He chuckled and scooped you up effortlessly, dropping you when you were a few feet above the bed so you bounced a little when you landed.
“After this, I’m done. The next one’s on you,” he promised as he moved above you, pinning you to the mattress below him, his hips rolling gently down into you through irritating layers of clothing. “How’s that for helping you learn to initiate.”
“Gives me some good motivation.”
“I gotta give you a little more, just remind you what you’ll be missing,” he said, wiggling his eyebrows as you threw back your head with laughter. Everything was easier in here, with him. Everything made sense.
“Can’t hurt to have a reminder,” you agreed readily, a smile still plastered across your face.
“And then we’ll get to the cuddling,” he reassured you, doing his best to kiss you in between words while fighting back a smile. “You can never forget the cuddling.”

If you're up to drawing
I would like to see Re! Contrarian and Re!Hero. Your take on them are so cute!
Awww, thanks! I'm really glad you think so <3
Tumblr media
I gotta draw them more anyway, so that I get used enough to their designs that I can mindlessly make silly doodles of them.
Also, since I'm here, here's these guys that have been in my photos for a while but I forgor to share
Tumblr media
Re!Cold and Smitty. They both became more emo, but in very different ways.

I feel like there are ground rules for work email communication, because they do work differently than face to face communication, and I see so many BAD email behaviours that drive me insane???
Emails are not instant communication. I don't care if you KNOW the person is working right now, if you KNOW they have seen your email - they are not instant communication. If your email is not URGENT and labelled as such, do not expect instant answer. 2 working days is usually the policy.
Platitude and politeness ARE important. They are indicators of tone, the only one we clearly have in emails. "Good morning/Hello/Hi/etc...." and some form of "I hope you are doing well!" will go a long way. same goes with some form of "all the best"/"kind regards"/"sincerely'
Seriously. Idc that its the 32rd email of the day and you have been writing "I hope this email finds you well!" and some comment about the weather for two thirds of them. You write the nice and polite thing that will tell the recipient that you are coming in peace, polite, and glad to communicate.
For the love of everything, thank people ?! "Thank you for your help with this!", "Many thanks, much appreciated!", "That is very helpful, thank you!". If you don't tell people you are grateful, they will not know it.
Formatting matters. Do not write your entire email in a single line. Idc that you write it on a phone. Make paragraphs.
When in doubt, assume good. Tone is difficult to convey in emails, they can read more curt, rude or aggressive than meant. Cultural differences regarding communication styes are also exacerbated in emails, I have found, so give people the benefit of doubt.
Some things require emails. Some things require meetings. Some things require a brief discussion. When 15 emails within an hour have not solved the thing, it probably needs a chat. When 20 emails within 2 days have not solved the thing, it probably needs a meeting.
TLDR use all the opportunities, even when clearly artificial and unnatural, to convey "hey, I am a nice person doing their best, and I know you are also a nice person doing their best!" because in emails people don't have your face, your tone, your body language, a flow of conversation, to judge how you are approaching the conversation. You need to signpost this shit, and you might think "I don't care if someone does not signpost to me when I receive an email" but the person receiving yours might be on their 46th complaint email of the day and they. will. care. And they deserve to be treated with at least serious politeness.

Some reader insert opinions I have!!
I don’t think reader insert authors should be shamed if they don’t write for a specific gender.
Either way, be it someone that only wants to write for fem!readers, gender neutral!readers, or male!readers. I think you should stick to what makes you comfortable.
Branching out is good and encouraged, but if you just want to stick to a specific gender of reader because that’s how you like to write or is more enjoyable for you, then do that!!
As long as you tag things correctly, then you’re all good!
I also believe there’s nothing wrong with giving the reader a basic appearance. Describing them as being pale or having curly hair or being thin is fine, but don’t just surprise your readers with it halfway through the fic. Make sure to say that the reader is pale.
Black writers include that the reader is black in the tags or title, I think it’s completely fair for white writers to man up and say who they’re writing for. If you’re going to have the reader be a certain way, SAY SO! Say that reader is pale or white. It’s unfair for black/dark skinned readers to read a fic only to be pulled out of it because the reader is described to be pale.
If you can’t say that, then be more inclusive when mentioning skin tone. It’s as easy as including some like “her (s/c) skin” instead of “her pale skin”.
Another opinion I have is that blocking others should be way more common. If you don’t like people’s writing, block them instead of being rude or hateful.
They write something you personally find disgusting? Block them! They posted a fic that’s out of character? Block them! You don’t like their pfp? Block them! Your blog is your safespace, you don’t have to interact with people that make you uncomfortable. You curate your online experience.

i’ll be completely honest i’ve seen how some people receive gift art (whether as a surprise or thru a community event), and the clipped “aw cute, thanks!”-tier responses are always a little jarring to me lmao. maybe at least compliment something you like about it. i am aware that there are at least some people out there who will try to ingratiate others with gift art, and it’s pretty off-putting/obvious, but not always. Give some grace/show appreciation when you can, it goes a long way.
