It took everything in her to not break down then and there, because this was something she had wished to not witness. With a faux strong demeanor, she did everything in her to heal you. Shoko knew that you were close to death that when she couldn’t hear your heartbeat back anymore, she had to rush out the room to cry.

Because to others, you would just be a written casualty in the report for the night parade of a thousand demons.

But to her, it feels like she failed to heal Suguru.

When Shoko had to break the news that you didn’t make it to Gojo, and showed your lifeless body on her table to him. Gojo had knelt down on the floor in defeat, loudly crying just by your body, clutching his chest in pain as he begs that this is just a very terrible nightmare haunting him.

He seemed pretty boring himself, sure, but he wouldn’t be friends with those two if he was normal, right? Those were good enough reasons to call him weird, so most people left it at that. Janus Spirit: 1k || G Rating || Gen || Janus was the god with two faces. Danny had two forms, two faces he showed the world. He tried not to think of the implication that he was ‘two-faced.’ At first, he insisted that he wasn’t a liar. Not really. Not any more than anyone else.

Turnabout: 1.2k || G Rating || Gen || The closer to Halloween they got, the weirder Danny acted. It wasn’t too obvious at first. He floated a little more, even in human form. That happened normally a couple times a month, but suddenly Sam and Tucker were having to pull him down to the ground multiple times a week. Then it became a daily thing.If that was the only ghostly habit, Sam and Tucker wouldn’t have been so stressed out. It seemed like Danny’s eyes were green more often than they were blue recently. Cold practically radiated from him. He was even more quiet and seemed to go invisible as soon as he knew no one was looking at him. Even that wasn’t the worst of it.

One Way or Another: 978 || G Rating || Gen ||  Clockwork needs to explain to Sam and Tucker how they can help Danny, but he has to find a way around the rules that the Observants have made for him. (Angst.)

Sam was very glad she’d worn her good boots. At the end of the hall she found a directory. It listed a bunch of doctors by their office and specialty. Initially she just skimmed it just to try and figure out what might need to be close to a lab, but then something caught her attention. Dr. Penelope Spencer: Inpatient Psychiatry.

- hates when people bite their nails

- he has a weird obsession with the smell of cats (something about their fur just smells good to him- AND NO, he doesn't want to eat them)

- he gets hungrier during the week of the full

- his hearing is fucking amazing, but it also distracts him a lot

- he knows so many secrets about people because of his incredible hearing

- he gets super angry when people interrupt him when he's reading

- read about 1/3 of Hogwarts library books (that says a lot, because there are well over 10 thousand books in there)

- he hates transforming during the summer, the temperature gets super high and when he awakes in human form his blood just sticks and makes him feel icky

- because of his tendency to hurt himself during the full moon, he knows a lot about medicine and healing

- he always reads the news (mostly medical news in the wizarding world ) Sirius and James always call him dad and tease him for it (since dads back then usually read the newspaper), but the real reason he kept looking for newer news was that he desperately wanted to know if there was a cure for his lycanthropy

- he's a terrible sleeper, he barely gets any during the weekdays

- he's has a fear in the back of his mind that his friends are going to tell everyone about his Lycanthropy and he'll be stoned (or killed) out of Hogwarts

- he has terrifying nightmares about his dad, his soul insecurity of never being enough for people comes from his father

- he thought about eating a bird once and he cried for a full 2 hours, when the guys found him they were kinda awe-struck because they have never seen him cry before

- he loves dark chocolate, though he usually only carries around milk or white (since milk is James favourite chocolate and white is Sirius and Peters favourite chocolate )

- got asked out by Lily Evans in 4th year, he kindly rejected her (because he's gotta follow the bro-code) ... but luckily the awkward encounter made them closer (somehow) and they became best of friends

- he once admitted to Peter about all his insecurities (and night terrors), he told Peter to never tell anyone (including Sirius and James). That night made their friendship stronger

- he has a lot of sexual hormonal issues because of his lycanthropy, it got a lot worse when he started puberty

- he has impulsive thoughts, they creep into the back of his mind and he feels guilty about them for days

- he self sabotages a lot, he doesn't think he's worthy to have the friends he does (even though they're a bit crazy), luckily though, his friends push through it and stick with him

- when he found out about the guys turning into animagus, he almost fainted. That very day he realized that Peter, Sirius, and James were his ride and die buddies for life

- he gets really jealous when he sees people talking to his friends, especially one day when Peter came back to the dorm with a goofy smile and started to tell them about a Ravenclaw girl. Remus was fucking pissed, Peter quickly shut up about it, Sirius and James just sorta made a small joke (which Remus shot them a glare for) and they all just sorta never mentioned it

- Remus possession is so much worse when it comes to Sirius, Sirius was a fucking player (he just loved fucking EVERYONE). So whenever he saw Sirius and some chick snogging, he would convince James and Peter to lock Sirius out of the dorms

- even though he had a lot of bad times, he had a lot of good times with the people who cared about him. They were family

The Man With Fears

Hi hello this is me, General of Angst, coming back to break some hearts in a new fandom hehehehe enjoy the ride because it's just the beginning ;)

The metallic taste of blood was the only stain on his lips tonight.

He took a deep and painful breath as his body slid against the wall, slowly hitting the cold concrete of the roof he ended up on. Somewhere close to the dock, he guessed by the cold air and the strong smell of wet garbage. He couldn’t settle on whether he liked it or not.

His ear was buzzing – probably the consequence of having his head being repeatedly smashed against the garbage cans. Or maybe from being projected against one of the wall in that back alley. It was buzzing, and painful, and he couldn’t focus as much as he wanted to. There was too much going on. All the noises – the sirens, the people, the cars, the waves – all of it blurred, mixed together; and the smells filling his nostrils, burning his lungs, turning each breathing into a difficult and repelling effort as the stench of blood mixed with the rotten food and humid air.

New York in all its glory.

He reached for his mask, took it off with a muffled groan, and felt a drop of sweat falling from the tip of his hair on his eyelid, rolling down on his cheek as the devilish face hit the floor. He didn’t feel like laughing at the symbol.

He believed in justice, he believed he could make a difference. He believed in desperate causes, in defending the innocent. Faith was his anchor – it had been for so long – but the storms raging at the core of Hell’s Kitchen were shaking all the foundations he was relying on, until all he had left were a vigilante suit, a bruised, broken body, and the terrible emptiness swallowing any hope he had for his beloved but merciless city.

Was it worth it?

Was the safety of his loved ones worth the loneliness filling his heart every time he had to push them away from him, from the life he was leading as darkness was settling above Hell’s Kitchen? Were the few glimpses of quietness worth the fights and exhausting, constant state of awareness? Was his faith in justice and peace worth the broken ribs, the hearing loss, the dizziness, the nightmares? Was his faith in justice worth the heaviness that came with impersonating it?

There was only so much he could do, and none of the suits he was wearing were enough to help him reach his goal.

All he wanted was some peace of mind. To lay in his bed and not feel like his head was about to explode. To buy cheap blankets to sleep in and save time and money looking for materials that didn’t feel like sandpaper. To go to work unbruised, running on a healthy sleeping schedule and a hot coffee. To go out with someone and not feel guilty for possibly putting them at risk.

He was tired. Tired of the background noises buzzing in his head at all times, of the loneliness digging in his heart, of the fear eating up his soul. Tired of the pain, the nightmares. Tired of waking up sweating and panting, haunted by what Frank Castle had told him back then on that roof.

You’re one bad day away from being me.

The long sigh he tried to exhale turned into a cough and had him spitting thick drops of warm blood. One didn’t need a medical degree to know something was wrong. He was quick to decide on getting up and calling Claire, but moving suddenly seemed an impossible task: his legs were numb, his head dizzy, and he had somehow convinced himself that the stinging sensation in his chest were needles poking holes in his lungs, slowly injecting them with all the poisonous filth Hell’s Kitchen could offer him.

The man with no fear, gasping for air, so desperate for someone to be standing on top of a roof, paying attention to every noise, every voice, until they would hear his. Until someone would come to save him from his own hell.

But there was only one Devil in Hell’s Kitchen. And he was bleeding out.
