Something that I think has been overlooked in all the hubub surrounding Eddie is the way Howdy treats his brother Latter during Holiday Hullabaloo. Quite frankly, he treats his brother quite similarly to how he treats Eddie- with dismissal at best and outright derision at worst. But while Eddie just gets shooed away when he tries to interact with Howdy, Latter is ignored, insulted, and outright pushed out of sibling time altogether. While some of this could be considered just standard sibling teasing, we get an immediate contrast with Howdy's clear adoration of his sister and vocal preference of his brother-in-law, which Latter immediately notices. Why is he treating his own brother that way when Latter clearly loves him and wants to spend time with him? Sure, his poetry is a little over-the-top but Howdy's treatment seems to go past simple annoyance as he makes it very clear that the only reason he's even tolerating him is because it's a holiday. So what's up there?

When looking at Latter in comparison to the rest of the family, he's clearly different from all the other men there. He wears his hair in a long ponytail rather than the short and spiffy style his male relatives wear, is far more emotional and openly affectionate than them, pursues artistry instead of business, and just generally carries himself in a distinctly non-masculine way similarly to Eddie. While Eddie isn't quite as feminine as Latter, he's also very affectionate, artistic, sensitive, and just generally doesn't fit the mold of what people say a man is "supposed to be." Both of them carry traits that are often looked down upon in men, especially back in the 60s-70s, and so they're treated as pariahs. Pushed aside, even when amongst family, and treated as an annoyance. Unwanted. Unneeded.

Anyways, that's my essay on why Latter and Eddie should be friends!

Found this old snippet and don't really remember of the context for it outside of being a joking exploration of how weird the Fenton/Phantom family tree would seem to outsiders (not even getting into how relationships might be classified differently between the human side & the ghost side)

Nomad motioned to the towering, vaguely vampire-looking buff dude with literal flaming hair what the fuck, “Dan, this is everyone. Everyone this is Dan. He’s my…” Nomad trailed off and blinked, a look of confused befuddlement on her face as she let the sentence hang for too long.

“Huh…” She said considering, looking up at vampire-dude, Dan apparently, with a confused furrow on her brow. “You know this is the first time I’ve ever had to try and explain our relationship to each other and I’m drawing a blank and what exactly to call you. Uncle? Dad? Brother? Like, I think you could technically be considered all three.”

What the fuck did that mean??? Kon snapped his attention over to meet Tim’s masked gaze, the look of wild confusion Kon was sure was on his own face mirrored there. Around the meeting room confused and worried looks were being shared by the rest of the League. Which like, yeah, what in the Habsburgs was happening here for all of those terms to be applicable?

“Well, you’re Danny’s Mirror, so if you consider him your dad then it stands to reason I’m also your father.” Dan said, hand coming up to his - literally flaming, how did that work? - goatee thoughtfully.

“Yeah but like, I call Danny dad just to piss Vlad off.” Nomad countered, toying with her severed arm with her still attached hand. Kon didn’t think he’d ever get over how casual she was about being literally disarmed and just…not caring. “And I definitely don’t see you as a dad. Uncle?”

The giant of a ghost shook his head with a frown, “Implies that Danny and I are brothers, which could work but gives our relationship kind of a weird vibe. I feel more like his father than anything.”

“Gramps, then?”

“No.”

Nomad laughed, “Fair, wouldn’t want to take the title of Grampa away from CW. Besides we’re both half Vlad, so I think brother works best here.” She frowned, looking thoughtful, “Maybe half brother?”

Dan considered, “Half-brother could work. Though it gives Vlad more credit than he deserves.”

“Oh come on, can you imagine the look on his face if we went in together on suing him for child support?” Nomad asked, fanged grin wicked. Dan’s face lit up at the idea, and Kon felt like they were rapidly heading towards the two ghosts running off to go and go torment whoever this Vlad guy was rather then them help deal with the current demonic problem at hand.

“Can you please explain what any of that means?” Kon asked, more a squeak than anything else. He was starting to get a headache.

Does anyone else need some miniseries/special ep/micro movie or whatever about the royal brothers?

Idk if it’s just me who needs more about Erik, but I craaaaave for a bit of Erik and Wille being goofy brothers together growing up in the palace.

I think Erik had a “younger brother complex”, meaning he was protective over Wille, specially knowing he had “his heart out of his body” (RWARB reference), something I’d looooooove to see.

And we already saw how much Wille looks up to his big brother, I truly think he admired Erik and seeing their life from the perspective of the youngest would be so cute.

I wanna see their life being the real Wille and the real Erik vs them being prince Wilhelm and crown prince Erik. All the memories they created together before the accident, memories that probably float around constantly in Wille’s mind after losing his closest person, his comfort person, the one who has always been there for him and taking care of him.

We had Erik for so little time. The period of time we saw him on screen vs the 16 years they had together is just not fair. I need so much more of Erik. Erik Erik Erik. The one who should’ve been the future king, the kind big brother, the funny crown prince.
