NO THANKS.

A glimmering light of hope
It felt different, for obvious reasons. The year was coming to an end with a new one approaching but unlike the gone past, it felt dull. There was no driven excitement within to celebrate, light up the dwelling or go out with friends because none were left.

IN THE GARDEN OF DEATH
The sun has set, no more light
The moon is gone, and the stars don’t shine
I hear silent whispers of quiet through the night
I look at the sky and long for what once was mine.
The breeze tells a secret song
a chilling melody of what went wrong,
of hearts once warm, now grown cold
in griefs embrace, their stories told.
In the garden of death where shadows roam,
I find an odd comfort like home,
As I sit by your gravestone,
And mourn all alone.
