something happening on a mission, something personal that has soap spiralling; panic and rage making him reckless, thoughtless, and ghost has to draw the line

“you’re compromised johnny; you know what that means?”

“you’re not pulling me out,” soap immediately snarls. he turns on him and ghost barely recognises him; venomous fear turning his eyes to unyielding ice. "you're not sidelining me; i need to be in this-!"

but ghost has never been afraid of venom; spat or dripped straight from bared fangs.

he snakes out a hand grip the back of his neck, jerking him in a rough shake. "if you can't think, you can't be a soldier," he growls and he flinches like he's been struck.

his lips quiver as they twist in a sneer and he wrenches, trying to free himself of his hold.

ghost doesn't let him.

"it means you give your body to me because your head ain't fucking attached to it anymore."

soap stills, body trembling beneath his hand as he sucks in shaking breaths.

he tightens his grip, pulling him closer and digs his forehead hard into his. “it means you give yourself to me so i can have the weapon that you are and use you the way you're meant to be used."

the ice in soap's eyes fractures.

ghost’s voice drops to a whisper, spoken only to johnny, not this facade of vengeance and pain, and wills it to reach him through the glaciers.

“so i can keep you safe ‘til it’s done and i can bring you back.”

#in my head its bc graves abducts his sister and is using her as hostage to draw him out knowing ghost will always follow him #but the intensity and intimacy of saying ‘you cant trust your mind not to betray you so let me be in charge of your body until you can’#after what happened to tommy he could never deny johnny his right to save his sister #but its bc of what happened to tommy that he knows he cant let him do it alone with only his rage to guide him #hes more likely to get himself killed and ghost wont live through that #so he has to balance it #and the only way he knows how is to completely shut down soap’s mind until hes no more than instinct and muscle memory #if he cant think practically then dont let him think at all #reduce him to a place where he can only follow orders #and when its finally over and his sister is safe and graves is dead #only then will he drag johnny back up to the surface #he’ll do it even if it means dragging him kicking and screaming back to humanity #instead of letting him sink in the depths where nothing hurts. theres no fear down there. no pain. only order #and thats the risk ghost took sending johnny to that place but he only did it bc he would stop at nothing to bring him back #and help him through the after #the breakdown. the rush of panic and rage and relief and anguish johnnys been supressing on his order #it was his word that turned johnny into a ghost #and its his touch that brings him back to the man #coming out of my cage and ive been doing just fine.txt #we’re a team. ghost team #cod #soapghost #ghostsoap #ghost x soap #ghoap #simon ghost riley #ghost cod #john soap mactavish #soap cod #save post

tips on staying safe at your local pride parade

make sure you have the following items:

- sunscreen

- water

- first aid kit

- shoes you can run in

- face mask

- hand sanitizer

if you see anti-queer protests, don’t engage.

keep your phone charged. bring a battery pack if possible.

utilize the buddy system. don’t go to pride alone.

establish a rendezvous point in case of emergency and you are separated from your group.

share your plans and where you are throughout the day with a friend who isn’t attending.

keep a piece of paper with emergency contacts on you.

carry cash, but make sure it’s kept in a very secure location.

pride is so much fun. but you have to be sure you’re staying safe and prepared in case of emergency. stay safe out there friends 🧡

#poll #maccadam #transformers #smash or pass #request #d-16 #tf one #look. listen to me. i want the movie to be good. i want it to be good so badly.#but i simply do not trust it. its giving marvel movie and that has me Incredibly Fuckin Worried #because i do not want this franchise to turn into generic safe crowd pleaser action comedy allergic to genuine emotion generator no. 6483754 #i do not want cliche heavy low effort lowest common denominator movie afraid to do anything even slightly weird beyond surface level #like. look. as much as i dunk on bayverse. as much as i voice my distaste for the designs and everything micheal bay has ever done #i respect the hell out of them for letting those robots be fucked up aliens #with weird nasty unfamiliar biology #and for having intense and serious and deathly somber moments #even if they butcher the characterization of some of the bots #cough cough give me your face ill kill them all optimus #im also not crazy about it looking like optimus and megatron come from the same place in the bottom of society #its so much more compelling for megs to come from the very bottom and be hyperaware of how bad everything is #whole orion has more of an everyman position. a cushy library job. not afforded luxuries but not rotting at the bottom #because then they learn from each other. orion piecing together hiw bad things get while megs picks up how in the dark the mid caste is #also genuinely truly if i have to hear bumblebee say 'well that just happened' im walking through the space bridge into a vacuum #welp. that turned into an essay. dont mind me being a hater 💖

Aroace Riz real but also Fabian is SO clearly in love with him and Riz has no idea

#honestly fabian might not even fully know yet #a core part of fabians character is that he is so deeply afraid of rejection that he is never going to pursue the people he actually wants #i do think he likes Maezy a lot but i think he only knows how to pursue hot toxic women that will discard him at a moments notice #which in a way protects him from ever actually dealing with heartbreak #is he a gay man dealing with comphet? ehh maybe #i could see that #but I think the vibe i get is more about how he has these platonic friends he completely adores and is fully devoted to #and then in another category he has the people that he does not have any actual attachment to that he will allow himself to pursue #and crossing the boundaries in between those two categories or allowing himself to pursue someone he really cares for #would require a level of vulnerability he is in no way prepared for #in his home life he has an emotionally detached mother who is well liked but kind of floats through interactions on a surface level #and a father who is extremely concerned with fame and glory and attention but doesnt seem to have ever stopped moving in his life #genuinely fabian does not know what a safe loving partnership would look like #and we see him constantly oscillating between emulating his mother and his father in relationships #but just beneath the surface is a little boy who wants so badly to cling to his loved ones so tight and be squeezed right back #with no way of knowing how to even ask for that if he wanted #and riz is his best friend in the world and he knows on some level that riz is simply not interested in having that kind of relationship #not on the level fabian needs #but that also makes riz a safe target for these feelings of devotion #theyre just friends! just besties! fabian never has to reckon with his own loneliness or harmful patterns #if he channels all of his yearning for closeness onto his best friend #anyway! this boy needs therapy #fhjy #fhjy spoilers #fabriz

when i first watched tron as a wee sprog i didn't really understand it lol and somehow i came away thinking for years that kevin was rendered partially amnesiac when he got sucked into computer world and steadily regained his memories over the course of his adventure. obviously that's not what happened lol. i think it would be an interesting story tho if a user was digitized and Something Went Wrong and they ended up w a chunk of their memories knocked off. and while they're on the grid, they keep losing more. so they have to race to get back out, because as they're losing their memories they're losing their sense of self, and past a certain point of deterioration they can't be reconstituted again

edit; if anyone wants to use this as inspiration that's fine. unless you are disney in which case I expect to be compensated 300 morbillion dollars
