I'm still in my Lilia brain rot era and I keep thinking about her and Agatha, and their dynamic and parallels.
Like, Agatha is a dick to everyone from the start, even Teen, but she's extremely chill and even, for her being who she is, weirdly respectful towards Lilia. Maybe it's because of the age, maybe it's because Lilia was the only one to show she still had true power when they first met, maybe it's because they share experience and persecution the younger ones don't truly understand, maybe Agatha just has a soft spot for those who are very clearly outcasts and weirdos.
The only sting at Lilia I can recall is calling her "Dory" in the last trial lmao
She never once questions or mocks her gaps. Hell, she said "we came to the right place" AFTER she saw Lilia scream her head off in ep2 over, to them, nothing. "Hmm, this bitch a lil bonkers, but that's exactly what I like and need :)"
She told Lilia that she couldn't take her power unless she's blasted with it - something she was certainly aiming for if the door didn't open and that ended up saving them in ep2 when she was using her ye old technique of being a menace. She may have told it to her only to get her in, but that's a big minus to her plan B.
When everyone had their hallucinations, Agatha didn't mock Lilia when she was, once again, "being weird". She believed her and reassured her in a soft tone that it was ok.
One interaction I found really funny is in ep3 when Teen asks about a sous vide machine and Agatha turns to Lilia with that "What the fuck is that? That wasn't around in our time" look
Usually when one of them starts spewing wisdom, someone will give a snarky remark, usually Agatha, but when they were talking about summoning a new green witch, Agatha let Lilia speak and was the only one who, at least somewhat, listened to her advice (50/50 but still haha). It was Lilia after all who was the first one to, tho reluctantly, agree to Agatha's idea of summoning a back up green witch.
Also the way Agatha looks at Lilia when she calls Jen out for giving Sharon only one dose of antidote when she had two glasses of wine. It's just so "mmm 😈 I like this one"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Agatha's first choice for "who could possibly play piano" wasn't Alice. Ya know the daughter of a rock goddess who would be the most logical choice. It was Lilia and I find that sweet and a lil funny too.
Lilia didn't tell Agatha's Salem story with judgement, even if she said "when Agatha killed her original coven". It was delivered as mere fact to explain the story.
Then when Evanora showed up and Lilia looks angry and almost disgusted at what she's hearing her say to Agatha. Even after Alice's death, she didn't jump on Agatha's back and accuse her. She let her be cause she was clearly distraught.
Tumblr media
Agatha "I'm not drinking the poison. You can suffer but I won't!" Harkness jumped on Lilia and covered her with her own body in the latest episode when the sword was about to impale her. And then she let her do her magic even if it didn't seem to work as the ceiling was still falling and even if she thought tarot was bullshit. She trusted she knew what she was doing.
And the look they give eachother when Lilia reveals Rio is Death. Lilia's face reads as terrified, but more than terrified, she seems to have a moment of compassion. It's the look of "How deeply fucked must your life have been that the only one that ever showed you love and kindness is the one who everyone else sees as the bringer of pain?". Death broke Lilia's heart many a time, but in that moment she understood, she broke Agatha's heart too in even worse ways.
Tumblr media
AGATHA LIKED HER! SHE LIKED HER FROM THE START AND RESPECTED HER! AND LILIA LIKED HER TOO, DESPITE THE INITIAL SUSPICIONS!!!
I need to know what her reaction to finding out Lilia sacrificed herself to kill the threat that was specifically after her will be. Will she brush it off and pretend she doesn't care to keep appearing stern and emotionless or will this be the thing that finally makes her realise people care for her? Cause Agatha has never had anyone, except literal Death, show her kindness, much less sacrifice themselves so she could keep living. And I find it beautifully poetic that the one other person Death has known well for centuries, who Death has acknowledged by name in that coven, was the one to do that.
Again, I'm aware that this is just my brain rot speaking, but Lilia was truly the MVP. She's the one with wisdom, the biggest experience, the one with seemingly most patience, the hype man ("Jennifer, look what you did", "It was all for you", "Don't worry, baby. We're cool"). Her trial is the only one where the rest was in fact not needed and was of no help. Actually, all they did was make it worse. The first three trials depended on teamwork. Lilia's was truly solvable ONLY by Lilia.
Anyways, Lilia mentally adopted Agatha and realised she truly was part of her coven and therefore worth dying for and I will never fucking recover 💔💔😭😭

Me Or The PS5
Tumblr media
Summary:- Your boyfriend has been glued to his PS5 for quite a while now. As his girlfriend, you've been feeling a bit neglected. You've given him an ultimatum - it's either you or the PS5. Now it's up to Colby to decide if he wants to level up in love or in Call of Duty.
Pairing:- Colby Brock x Reader
Warnings:- Slightly suggestive, angst if you squint; like really squint (if you look at it with a binocular or something).
Note:- EVENT: Fics inspired by songs - PS5 (TXT, Salem Ilese & Alan Walker)
Tumblr media
It's me or the PS5
"Hey Colbs, are you up for watching a movie?" You inquire as you enter his room, spotting your boyfriend who is shirtless and wearing his glasses, engrossed in a game of COD with Sam and a few other friends. He mutes the mic briefly, glancing your way.
"Not now, love. How about tomorrow?" Not waiting for your answer, he focuses back on the screen. You let out a sigh, feeling a mix of annoyance and disappointment. It's not that you mind him playing on his PS5 with his friends, but it's the fact that this has been going on for almost a week now and you can't help but feel neglected. You've tried to be understanding and not come off as needy, but it's starting to become overwhelming. It's like he's completely immersed in a virtual world.
"Can I sit on your lap?" You ask, thinking he'd be too preoccupied to hear you. Instead, he surprises you by giving you a nod and smiling.
"Of course." He shifts his chair away from his desk, letting you straddle his lap before returning to his game. You rest your head on his shoulder, arms wrapped around his neck, letting out a satisfied sigh. Despite being close, you've been feeling a bit lonely lately. Colby plants a kiss on the side of your head, and you briefly close your eyes, savoring the embrace of your boyfriend. You'd missed this so much.
Making up your mind, you lean back and grab your boyfriend's chin to get his attention.
"Baby-" Colby begins to protest, but you cut him off.
"I'm tired of this, Colby," you start. "You've been doing this for almost a week, and I feel neglected. I've tried to be understanding, but..." you end with a frustrated noise. "So I'm giving you an ultimatum- it's either me or the PS5."
Colby's eyes widen slightly at your words. "Baby, I-"
You cut him off again. "It's either me or the PS5, Colby. I don't have a problem with you playing, but it's the fact that this has been happening for a while now. We've barely spent time together. When was the last time we even went out?"
Colby's heart sank as he realized his actions had caused you to feel neglected and lonely. His palm cupped your face, drawing you in for a kiss before he murmured.
"Love, you realize we're in for a long ride, right? It's not as if I'm keeping secrets or lying. I promise not to make you feel neglected again. Just give me two minutes and I'll give you a trophy."
Your heart flutters. “Two minutes, huh? What kind of trophy are we talking about?”
His hands slide to your waist, and his gaze turns positively devious. “The ‘Best Girlfriend Ever’ award,” he whispers, leaning in for a kiss. “Plus, I’ll throw in a ‘Master of Multitasking’ certificate.”
"Two minutes, baby. I promise," he says again as he leans forward to capture your lips with his.
"Colby, are you there? Cover me, bro." Sam's voice crackles over the speakers. Colby turns back to face you, nuzzling his nose against yours. "Please? I promise to make it up to you, love.
You nod hesitantly. "Promise?"
"Un-huh, you're getting a trophy after this baby. For being so good and understanding." Your boyfriend leans in to kiss you again. You settle back against his lap, watching him play.
Later that night, he delivers on his promise- the trophy he was so eager to give you.

Having Twins with Them - Loki, Stephen, and Bucky
@stygianoir asked: For loki, Bucky , and Stephen (seperately ) Where their wife is pregnant and how are they before and after the baby comes Fluff plz
Hi Kitty, I hope you enjoy! Thank you for sending this in :) Please read the warnings.
Loki x Reader, Stephen x Reader, Bucky x Reader [Fluff] Warnings: Pregnancy, details about giving birth, and crying Word Count: Loki: 656, Stephen: 700, Bucky: 703
-
Tumblr media
You were feeling a bit strange for a little bit before you suspected you were pregnant.
You called a friend one morning, freaking out about whether or not you were pregnant, and she brought over some tests for you to take. You were happy to find all the tests came back positive. You and Loki had been trying for a while, but you expected it to take a little longer to become pregnant.
When you revealed to him you were pregnant, he raised his eyebrow at you, then asked, “You’re joking, right?” Then quickly laughed and gave you a big hug, pulling you in close and twirling you around in a circle.
“You’ve given me something I wished and dreamed for, for years. Thank you, my love. We’ll take special care of our young one.” He murmured into your ear after he set you down.
He started to appear happier the farther along you were in your pregnancy. He’d always compliment you, give you gifts, and kiss you at random times. He would gaze at your stomach lovingly, and lay kisses on top, whispering sweet promises and lullabies to the baby.
During your delivery, he appeared as calm as ever, but secretly he was freaking out. You insisted on delivering in a hospital setting, and he was so confused about all the doctors and nurses around you. He went pale when he saw one of the tools the doctor was using, and hoped that for your next pregnancy (yes, he very much wanted more children), you would deliver with the help of Asgardian techniques.
It was so shocking to the family when you revealed you had twins, but Loki was smug. He was confident and happy that you two had healthy twins. The boy was named Salem and the girl was named Lilith. Loki and you adored them so much.
He dotted on them so much when they were first born and was the one to catch Lilith accidentally summon a demon. Yes, it was a very weak demon, but it was still very impressive and surprising. Salem soon after froze his crib after having a meltdown. Loki was so delighted in their magic and powers and soon started to document everything they did.
When they started talking, Loki was so excited. He’d talk to them in multiple languages and would smile brightly when one of them repeated his words. Salem was the first to say “Momma, Daddy”, and Lilith soon followed with calling you two, “Mommy, Papa.”
You healed up after the delivery great, and Loki surprised you by introducing some traditions with new moms from Asgard. They were so helpful, and it was a lot different than the techniques from Earth with healing after giving birth. There was a special tea he made for you, enchanted with some magic. It always made you feel more energetic after drinking it, and it helped with sleeping all those odd hours the babies were asleep.
When you were fully healed and ready to get back to doing your normal routine, Loki had come up to you one morning and wrapped his arms around you from behind. You grinned at him as he kissed your cheek.
“Mm, what are your plans for today, honey?” You asked him softly, your voice quiet so the babies could continue sleeping.
He chuckled slightly, “I was wondering if we could have a date night tonight. Maybe we could spend some time in our library, like last time.”
Your eyes shot wide open, and you turned around to face him, “You seriously cannot be saying you want to impregnate me again. So soon? Lilith and Salem haven’t even turned one!”
He pouted playfully, “Aw darling, but I would love to have more children with you. Maybe triplets this time?”
You laughed into his chest, “Maybe in a few years, after we get a hang of this parenting thing, right?”
He nodded thoughtfully, “Agreed.”

Stephen had a feeling something was off when you had come home one day, smiling a bit too often. He didn’t know what was going on though, so he kept extra quiet about it and just observed you to see if he could guess what was going on. When you noticed how quiet he had gotten that night, you pouted at him.
“Stephen, is something wrong?” You asked him somewhat nervously as you unconsciously placed a hand on your stomach.
“I just noticed you’re hiding something. You usually don’t hide things unless it’s a good surprise, so I’m wondering what it is.” He responded, grinning at your shocked expression.
“No fair! I wanted it to be a complete surprise for you tomorrow!” You objected, laughing at how quickly he caught on.
“You can tell me now and we can celebrate tomorrow?” He suggested, still completely wondering what it was that made you act like this.
You smiled brightly and scooted next to him. “I’m pregnant! I think I might be a bit later than I thought, since my stomach has been growing a bit faster than I expected. I took the test this afternoon.” You explained, mumbling, and rambling a bit because you were nervous for his reaction.
He gaped momentarily and then rushed over to you and picked you up and twirled you into a hug. You laughed in surprise at his reaction, not expecting this. He was usually so reserved and quiet about things, mostly reacting with humor!
“Sweetheart.” He murmured to you as he set you back down and pressed his forehead against yours. “I love you so much. You know how much I’ve always wanted children. This is a dream come true.” He whispered.
You smiled at his words, “I love you too, we’re going to be great parents!”
After he scheduled you an appointment with one of his old friends, he started buying so many prenatal vitamins and foods that would support your pregnancy. At the appointment, it was confirmed that you two were going to have twins! At first, he didn’t believe his friend, then looked at the ultrasound machine and saw the two little babies.
The next few weeks, he spent time coddling you and reading up on pregnancies involving twins. He researched so much and practically became an expert about twin pregnancies. He read so many books on parenting and baby proofed everything even though you were only three months pregnant at the time.
By your third trimester, he had everything set up for your due date. He personally vetted everyone who was going to be involved in the birthing process and supported you on your decisions on how you’d like to give birth.
The only things that were left up in the air were the names of the babies. You had been calling them, ankle biter one and two as a joke, and every name you two actually came up with hadn’t been agreed upon. Stephen would randomly speak to your stomach, saying random baby names and then would look up at you, and ask if those names would be good.
One day he came up with the name, Rose, while you were eating some rose ice cream. It was all you wanted to eat for three days, and the entire pregnancy, you had been craving rose flavored foods. Almost immediately after he said the name Rose, you agreed.
“She’s our little Rose, so cute.” You’d say as you’d feel one of the baby’s kick. For the boy, you two finally agreed with the name Philip, and a few hours later, you went into labor.
Stephen was on top of it, fully calm and ready, and supported you the entire time.
A few months later, you two were unconventional parents, amazing, nonetheless. Stephen used magic to parent all the time, and you would always be so surprised at all the magic he did. The best magic he had done during the first few months was to always have a bottle of milk ready to go – it automatically refilled itself.
How he did it? You never found out how, but whenever you asked about it, he would mutter something about arrogant entities.

You were a little nervous and worried when you found out you were pregnant. Bucky had always been a little upset when you’d mention family because he didn’t have any family in today’s world. Technically he only had you as his spouse for family, but you knew he missed his family from years ago.
But you knew you had to tell him, so you grabbed your positive pregnancy tests and walked into the bedroom. “Hey sweetie? Can I talk to you about something?” You spoke up nervously.
Bucky turned around and smiled softly at you. “Of course, you can. Don’t have to ask about it, either.”
You shrugged back sheepishly, “I know that, but this is something kinda serious and we have to talk about it.”
His expression changed to something stormy, and he pressed his lips into a line, “Are you safe? Is someone targeting you?”
“Oh no! Not like that! It’s – I’m, uh, pregnant.” You stumbled over your words and pushed the pregnancy tests in front of you, to show him. He blinked in surprise, his expression going momentarily blank before a happy one replaced it.
“Wait really?” He whispered, walking closer to you, and holding onto your hands. He gazed down at the multiple pregnancy tests you took.
“Mhm, there’s a baby in here I think.” You chuckled nervously and gazed down to your belly. He smiled brightly as he leaned down and kissed your stomach, making all your worries disappear. He murmured a sweet hello to your belly, then got back up and hugged you tightly, causing you to drop the tests to the floor. You laughed in surprise and hugged him back.
When you started going to appointments, Bucky drove you to each of them and attended all of them, holding your hand through exams to make you feel comfortable. It was the second appointment where you two found out you were having twins!
“Oh god! Twins… we need to get a new place. We need to buy two cribs! We have to go get supplies like right now!” Bucky started to ramble, eyes wide at the thought of two kids. You were in shock as well, asking the doctor to check again to make sure. You really didn’t expect to have twins.
Bucky seemed to be extra romantic as you got further along in your pregnancy. You’d notice it in the way he’d always lovingly kiss you longer each day before he went to the compound, and the way he’d come back with gifts for you both to enjoy. He’d light your favorite candles and prep your favorite foods, and at times you’d feel like you could melt in a puddle by the adoration you’d see in his eyes as he’d gaze down at your belly.
You both decided on the names rather early in your pregnancy. Scout was the boy’s name and Melody was the girl’s name. Bucky and you discussed it for about a week, agreeing quickly about the names. He used Steve’s name as Scout’s middle name and his sister, Rebecca, as Melody’s middle name.
When you went into labor, Bucky freaked out a bit and fainted when you squeezed his hand harder than you’ve ever had before. When he came back to, he apologized and put on a tough face and sat by you, supporting you the entire time.
“Look at our babies, sweetheart.” He murmured to you, holding them both in his arms and handing Melody to you. You two cried happily at the sight of both your children.
He sung lullabies to comfort the babies and he’d always be holding at least one of them. Scout was the first to say his first words, which was funnily enough, “No!” and “Momma”, when you served him some broccoli with rice.
Melody quickly said her words a few days after that, when Scout had accidentally bumped his foot into something, “Scout owie”. It was so adorable that you and Bucky had both awed out loud at the sight.
When you and Bucky had alone time, he’d take you out to your favorite date spots. You two spoke about all the memories you shared, and how sweet and special it’s been, having twins together.

Close For Discomfort
A Knightfall Parody
--------------------------------------------------
Jaune: (In bed, Stretches) Morning, babe~.
Cinder: (Yawns) Morning, blue eyes~.
Salem: (Nude) Speaking of blue eyes, I'm making blueberry pancakes! Y'all want any?
Jaune: AGH! Grandma! For Brother's sakes, put on some clothes! Please!
Salem: Clothes ruin my morning flow! You know that! Now, you want blueberry or chocolate chip? (Walking away) Because spoiler alert, the chocolate chips are HELLA PACKED with THC!
Jaune: ...
Cinder: We need to move out.
Jaune: What?!
Cinder: NOW!
Jaune: Wh- I- B- Cindy, we've got free room and board, a literal castle with protection from Grimm attacks and... all the pancakes we could ever want~!
Cinder: Wonderful, but do you have any idea how obnoxious your grandmother has gotten since we started dating? THREE YEARS AGO?
--------------------------------------------------
Cinder: (Doing laundry, Rolls eyes at Salem's "Death To All Faunus" shirt)
Cinder: (Turns over, Sees "And Humans, Too") Oh... That's... better?
--------------------------------------------------
Cinder: And then there was my birthday last month.
--------------------------------------------------
Everyone: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOOOU~!
Ruby: Happy birthday, Cinder~!
Cinder: Thank you, Re- Er, Ruby.
Salem: Time for presents~! (Hands over gift) Here you go, Cindy~!
Cinder: (Flatly) Oh, good, I wonder what this is- Oh, look, it's a crotchless panties and a nippleless bra. Who would've guessed?
Jaune: Hey, I remember those! I wonder if mine still fit...
Cinder: ...
Ruby: ...
--------------------------------------------------
Cinder: And that's NOTHING compared to the bullshit she pulled last week!
--------------------------------------------------
Cinder: (On Jaune, Drags fingers down chest)
Jaune: (Saucily chuckles, Rubs arm)
Cinder: (Leans down, Stops) Is that a fucking camera?!
Salem: (Distant) STOP BREAKING THE SCENE!
--------------------------------------------------
Jaune: (Holding "Grimm Pictures Presents: Fallen Knights of Passion " CD) In her defense, the production value on this was... incredible~!
Cinder: (Takes CD, Melts it)
Jaune: AW~! I was really good in that one...
Cinder: Yes, you were. Not the point!
Jaune: Mm... I'm not sure how we'd move in the first place. Can't exactly just buy a house as "enemies of humanity".
Cinder: Well, who's to say we have to buy or rent anything? I'm sure we could easily steal a house on the shore.
Jaune: Cinder! You promised!
Cinder: I'm kidding! I'm kidding! ...Mostly.
Jaune: What about Ruby? I'm sure she could vouch for us now that Salem's gone straight.
Cinder: We could... but I don't think she'd be interested in anything I have to say...
--------------------------------------------------
Ruby: Cinder, what the fuck?!
Cinder: (Via scroll) You asked, I delivered.
Ruby: I asked for Sonic merch for my birthday, not for you to kidnap another Sonic character!
Big: I'm Big~!
Ruby: He's Big! ...Wait, is that your name?
Big: Yuh-huh~!
Cinder: Well, I'm glad you're enjoying him~.
Ruby: STOP DROPPING FURRIES ON MY DOORSTEP!
--------------------------------------------------
Jaune: Hm... Well, we could always ask for a trial by combat. I'm already good friends with most huntsmen, so all I'd have to do is ask for the next availability. Not to mention they also pay huge, and we're probably going to win anyways because the only people who could beat either of us that aren't our friends are dead! Oh, I made myself feel bad.
Cinder: And this "next availability" would be when?
Jaune: Let's see, according to the schedule, it is... SIX YEARS?!
Cinder: Fuck that! You need a job!
Jaune: Also gonna be hard since I'm blacklisted as a huntsman and my resume aside from that is just... kid who's related to the woman who tried to wipe out humanity.
Cinder: I don't have a formal education, either. The only thing I learned growing up was the best ways to kill a woman and how to scrub week-old cum off decades-old wood.
Salem: (Pops in) Oh, now that takes me back~...
Cinder: (Hurls fireball) EAT SHIT, YOU OLD HAG!
Salem: (Walks downstairs) Oh, you know I was talking about dick...
Cinder: ...GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE.
Jaune: Okay, okay! Uh... We could do manual labor! I've been training to fight the Grimm since I was a teenager, so I can still do other work that requires muscle! We could probably build our own house and a whole neighborhood in, like, a week!
Cinder: I... I don't think I could be doing any physical labor.
Jaune: Why not? You pick ME up and toss me into bed real easy when you're feeling frisky. (Come hithers)
Cinder: (Sighs) That's not what I mean.
Jaune: I know, but I mean... I think you'd be great at it! You're smart, you're driven, you're WAY stronger than me without your maiden powers, and you're-
Cinder: PREGNANT~!
Jaune: ...Wha?
Cinder: And, yeah, I know I can still work, but I think it's really awkward to tell your boss, "Hey, I know I just started, but I'm going to need maternity leave really soon!" It just seems like a clusterfu-
Jaune: (Grabs her) You're pregnant?!
Cinder: Yeah... It's why I didn't ask for any chocolate chips.
Jaune: How... How long?
Cinder: Pregnant? About a month, but I only found out a few days ago! I didn't know how to tell you. We have something good already and everything just sort of happened and I have no idea what happens next or even if you want to-
Jaune: Cinder! (Takes her hands) You... You have made me the happiest man in the entire world. No one has ever made me feel this happy before, except you, and you somehow just keep making me happier.
Cinder: (Eyes watering)
Jaune: I... I love you. And I love our baby.
Cinder: (Hugs him) I love you, too~!
Salem: (Leaning against the wall) So, how much longer until your belly gets bigger? It's been a few centuries since my time, so I'm not sure what the standard is now. And I'd like to know before the next video.
Cinder: If our baby is a girl and we're not out of this house by the time she hits puberty, I WILL murder Salem!
Salem: Tch! Good luck! (Slurps pancake)

Is it wrong I kinda want to keep building this wholesome Salem and Jaune story? We didn't get to see Team Jnpr or Team Rwby's reactions. So can we see those?
I wonder? More cracked insanity everyone? Hmmmm?
/==/
Pyrrha stood with her back pressed against the wall next to the open window of NPR's dorm. A raven sized Nevermore sitting on the sill looking out at the armed assembly of her friends. She was biting her lip, while holding an open parchment letter to her chest.
Ren: Pyrrha... care to... explain?
Pyrrha: It's... it's not what... it looks like?
Yang: Really? Cause it looks like you're ready a letter... that was delivered by a nevermore? Or am I seeing things?
Nora: Nope. That's what it looks like.
Weiss: How could you BETRAY BEACON like this! Cavorting with the enemy... with... with the GRIMM!
Blake: I'm confused... like seriously... this makes no sense. I mean seriously? Grimm delivering letters?
Ruby: Pyrrha I know Jaune vanished, but that doesn't mean you should throw everything away and join the dark side!
Pyrrha: I'm not joining anyone! This is a misunderstanding! I swear!
Ren: How is it a... misunderstanding? There's a letter in your hand, and a grimm sitting besides you.
Ruby: YOINK!
Pyrrha: HEY!! THAT'S PRIVATE!!!
Pyrrha wanted to rush Ruby as she handed the stollen letter to Wiess, but she was hesitant to do anything that her friends would consider hostile...
Weiss: WHAT THE FUCK!!!
THUD
Blake: So that happened.
Yang: What the hell? Give me that!
Yang yanks the letter from currently fainted Weiss' hand, and opens it before her eyes.
Yang: WHAT THE FUCK!!!
THUD
Blake: Huh. That's two.
Ruby: Weiss! Yang! Stay with me! Don't go into the light!
Nora hesitantly reaches out and picks the letter from Yang's grip. As Ruby sits between the fainted forms of her sister and partner, a look of total bewilderment on her face.
Pyrrha: Please... just...
Nora looks at everyone before she as well reads the contents of then letter...
Nora: NO WAY! NOT POSSIBLE! SERIOUSLY?
Ruby/ Blake / Ren / Pyrrha: ...
Nora: I'M AN AUNTIE!!!!! WOOOHOOOOO!!!!!
Ren / Blake / Ruby: Excuse me?
Nora: So...
Nora points at Pyrrha with the letter.
Pyrrha: So?
Nora: How long have you... known where Fearless Leader was?
Pyrrha: A while...
Nora: Why... didn't... you... tell... us?
Pyrrha: I was asked by Jaune not to, until after the babies were born.
Ren / Blake / Ruby: Babies?
Nora: Likely story.
Pyrrha: It's true?
Nora: What else have been hiding from us... Pyrrha... IF that is even your real name!
Pyrrha: Yes it is my name!
Nora: Confess!!! Confess everything!!!
Pyrrha: But I...
Nora: CONFESS!!!
Pyrrha: I knew since about a month after Jaune vanished. I was approached by a woman named Cinder Fall while in Vale at a photo-op...
Nora: Anything... else?
Pyrrha: That trip to Argus four months ago?
Ren / Blake / Ruby: Babies?
Nora: Go on.
Pyrrha: I was actually at Jaune's wedding.... I was his best man, er woman...
Nora: And pray tell why did you not tell us... Jaune-Jaune's team... or more importantly...
Pyrrha: Importantly?
Nora: WHY WASN'T I INVITED!!!
Pyrrha: It was a small service with limited seating, and Jaune's family took up most of his side, he only had room to invite one more...
Nora: Okay. I accept that. It's reasonable.
Ren / Blake / Ruby: Babies?
Nora: So why didn't you tell me and Rennie? I thought we were friends?
Pyrrha: I'm sorry. Jaune asked me to keep things quiet until after the babies were born. They were worried... and... I'm sorry?
Nora: Apology Accepted. So.
Pyrrha: So?
Nora: When does Auntie Nora get to see her nieces? Oh! Oh! Oh!! Do you have pictures? Please say you have pictures!
Pyrrha: Not yet... but soon?
Pyrrha cast a glance at the nevermore and it just tilted it'd head.
Pyrrha: Maybe?
Nevermore: SQUAWK!!
Nora lashed out and grabbed the nevermore faster than anyone could have guessed she could move. In fact her motions rivaled Ruby's Semblance. She pulled the grimm avian towards her face, a maniacal gleam in her eyes.
Nora: Go... bring... pictures... understand?
Nevermore: SQUAWK!!!
Nora released the grimm and it bolted out the window and vanished into the air. Dropping the letter to the floor, Nora stepped over and past everyone, hooking her arm through Pyrrha's and leading the stunned champion out of the dorm.
Pyrrha: Nora?
Nora: I want all the details! Leave nothing out!
Ren / Blake / Ruby: Babies?

Drenched in sweat, you are exhausted from the long day at the studio. To pay for your student loans for your PhD program you teach yoga during the day and hustle exclusive kinky content at night.
You turn from the door you are locking up when someone clears their throat. “Hey, sorry,” he apologizes quickly cheeks blushing as he looks you over. “Do you teach yoga here?” he asks shyly. You take in his blonde hair and tattoos - not like your usual students from your small town - excitement and intrigue make your heart race.
“Yes, just closing up for the night. My first class starts at 9 am tomorrow.” You watch his face light up and you mirror it back to him with a wide smile.
“Oh perfect, thank you. I’m Chris,” he adds extending a hand to shake. You switch your rolled mat to your other hand to shake his hand, giving him your name. As Chris turns to leave you call out to him. Your heart pounds in your ears and nerves grip your stomach as you blurt out, “Wait, here’s my business card.”
You don’t normally give out your card to strangers but you take a chance on his enthusiasm. Dropping your mat you rummage through your black crossbody bag and hand him your card. Time slows down when your fingers brush over each other and it’s electric, shocking you back to reality. You quickly retract your hand, not impolite, as you add a “Have a good night!” Despite your confidence in your online content, sharing it with someone in real life still makes you embarrassed.
When you get home you shower quickly unwinding from the busy day. As you wait for your food to be delivered you plop down in your fuzzy robe, hair still damp from the shower. You check your email and decide to post a few photos that you took earlier in the week in hopes more interaction will come. Maybe Chris will enjoy them? The butterflies in your stomach scatter the moment the doorbell rings. Shutting your brain off for the evening you have a glass of wine with dinner as you start your fourth rewatch of Charmed. Yawning you shuffle into bed after taking care of the dishes and your cat, Salem. Once Salem curls up against you sleep consumes you peacefully.
Tumblr media
30 minutes into your instruction, the door opens softly, and the blonde stranger from last night saunters in. You look him over briefly noticing his attire is far from the norm; a pair of black latex pants and a cotton tee. Despite this, he unrolls his mat and joins right in as if he’s been practicing for years. Maybe he has, you think to yourself. You can’t help but smile when your eyes meet his.
The class disperses after the closing Namaste with the usual regulars stopping over to say goodbye. Some cast glances at the stranger, but no one says anything. You start to towel yourself off when a hand stops you. Looking up, Chris towers over you and your heart rate skyrockets.
“Sorry,” he pulls away quickly. “I didn’t mean to startle you.” He steps back giving you space. Running his hand nervously through his damp hair he continues, “So um.. I bought all of your content last night… and well.” His cheeks redden as he stares at the ground.
You stride over to him and grip his chin to pull his gaze to yours. “So tell me what you want.”
Your other hand comes to palm at his pants. You press hard against him and gasps. Huh, a chastity cage. Your mind starts to spiral.
“Don’t make me repeat myself.” You press even harder.
“My friend and I.” He squirms and you grip his chin harder. “Were wondering if –” you release his chin but not his cock. “ – if you would be interested in seeing us tonight. N-n-name your price.” You watch as his shoulders slump forward when he exhales in relief.
“You think I do home visits?” You eye him warily as he shrinks back into himself. You typically don’t only because no one had offered before.
“I’m stupid and reckless and my boyfriend is going to reem me for this-” he nervously rakes his hand through his hair. “-but I was just hoping you might.”
“So you like latex, huh? Is that why you wore them to my session?” You tease the edge of the waistband with your fingertips. “Like to get all hot and sweaty.”
“Y-yes ma’am… miss… misstre -” Chris stammers.
You silence his lips with a slender finger. You’re not the type to care too much about honorifics as long as they are respectful.
“You can call me whatever you like, even my name. Although I did some digging last night and found out you're a big rockstar, so you better not be playing me.” Narrowing your eyes and look him over.
“No, miss.” He shoots his hands up in surrender. “I swear.”
“Ok then, email me the address and I’ll send the paperwork over. Oh and no cumming until I make you come, got it?”
“Yes ma’am, thank you, ma’am.” You watch him leave just as your next class starts to arrive.
Tumblr media
When Chris returns to the hotel room he finds Rick hunched over on the huge bed typing away on his computer. Despite the few days off from the tour, Rick still hasn’t stopped working. Chris tries to get Rick’s attention by calling his name but it’s no use when he realizes Rick has his earbuds in so Chris does the next best thing.
Sauntering over to the bed, Chris stretches tall and groans obnoxiously. He fiddles with the hem of his shirt slowly sliding his hand up his tattooed torso. He tweaks his own nipples and they harden instantly, yet Rick’s attention still remains fixed on the screen.
“Fine,” Chris huffs, leaning over he grabs the laptop from Rick’s hands and plops it on the bedside table.
“Hey what the-”
“Pay. Attention. To. Me,” Chris’ hips sway as he crawls on the bed and into Rick’s lap.
Rick leans against the headboard, adjusting his hips to take Chris’ weight.
“Awh is someone hot, sweaty, and needy after a little yoga,” Chris can feel his cheeks heat at the taunt. He tries to look away – to hide his embarrassment – but Rick pulls him back with a gentle finger hooked under his chin. Rick chuckles darkly as Chris grinds against him.
“She really worked you hard,” Rick smirks as he presses a hand to Chris's crotch.
Chris can’t help but whine when Rick presses harder against him and the silicone cage around his cock. “Go get cleaned up and I’ll review the paperwork she sent.” Rick slaps Chris’ thigh sending him off to shower.
Tumblr media
Chris’ boyfriend answers the door with a curt “Hey, I’m Rick” and gestures for you to enter. Sweat drips down your back and the latex sticks to your thigh when you walk but to you, it’s the best feeling ever. It’s a little primal and prehistoric and it drives some people absolutely feral. When you approach the bed you find Chris dressed only in his boxers, kneeling with his wrists bound.
After dropping your bag on the dresser you walk over to him between the bed frame. You stretch your body long and lean over the bed with a sigh forcing your ass in his face. You shake your hips as you rub yourself against him. When you feel the pressure of his tongue you can’t help but grin to yourself.
“A needy little slut aren’t you,” you tease, rocking your hips harder.
“Answer her,” Rick commands. Turning your head you follow the voice to find Rick behind you with his tattooed fingers gripping onto Chris’ scalp holding him in place.
“Answer her!” Chris’ eyes roll back when one hand wraps around his throat. It’s the hottest thing you’ve ever witnessed and it makes your pussy throb.
“I’m a needy slut” Chris whines.
“No cumming,” Rick says sharply, yanking on Chris’ hair. Despite his shorter frame, Rick pushes Chris to the ground where he clumsily braces himself with a grunt.
“Undress her,” he instructs.
Chris scurries over to you on his hands and knees. He kisses your black stiletto boots before unzipping them and pulling them off your feet. Rick gracefully settles down on the bed in front of you. A tattooed finger lifts your chin. Entranced by steel blue eyes and the brush of his soft lips against your cheek you hardly register another set of hands unzipping your latex suit. Rick kisses the corner of your lip as goosebumps climb up your legs after you step out of your pants completely bare to these two haunting beautiful strangers. You should feel vulnerable and embarrassed yet you feel powerful, confident, and sexy as hell.
“Are you ready to be worshipped dear?” he mumbles against your lip. You suck in a hurried breath when soft lips press against your ankle.
“Yes,” you exhale. Rick grasps your face in his hands and pulls you to him. At the same time, he devours your lips Chris licks and sucks love bites up your sweat-slick leg. You jolt accidentally biting down on Rick’s bottom lip when Chris nips at your ass.
“Did he scare ya?” Rick chuckles, pulling you onto his lap. “Good.” He grins before smacking the other cheek. Heat spreads over the delicate flesh and then sharp teeth nip at the same spot yet this time pleasure takes its place. Chris nuzzles against your ass forcing you to wrap your arms around Rick’s neck for support. Your eyes go wide and your body tenses when Chris licks at the dip in your back right above your hole.
“Relax darling, let him help you feel good.” Rick licks at your lower lip and you part your lips to him. You melt into his kiss. Desperate for more, you push Rick onto his back and rock your hips back. You and Chris moan when he enters your tight hole with his tongue. “I need more,” you whine when Chris withdraws from you.
“Take whatever you need,” Rick says casually as he pulls a condom from the pocket of his joggers before rolling down his erect cock. Planting your feet firmly on either side of Rick’s torso you sink down onto him. He fills you effortlessly and makes you a little dizzy. As you rock back, Chris licks into your tight hole again.
“Oh fuck!” It’s all too much when Rick tilts his hips slamming into the sweet spongy spot inside as he presses his thumb onto your clit. Your nails dig into his chest as you clench around him and your vision blurs.
“Shit shit shit,” Rick’s rhythm falters, pounding into you until he empties himself in the condom.
Boneless you slump forward across Rick’s chest, yet Chris continues his pursuit until you are a whiny oversensitive mess clenching again around Rick’s now softening cock.
“Oh fuck!” You feel Rick tense when he comes again, his chest rising and falling quickly. “What… the… fuck… man” he pants between words. “Fuuuuuuck.” Rick sighs as the post-orgasm exhaustion slams into him.
You can hear Chris grinning when he says, “I couldn’t help myself.”
“Hey–yooowwww,” you yelp when Chris smacks your ass. Groaning, you look over your shoulder to throw him death daggers.
“Let’s get you cleaned up darling and we’ll order room service.” Begrudgingly, you peel yourself up and off of Rick. After Rick unlocks Chris from his cuffs, he leads you and Chris to the bathroom. “Thank you,” they say in unison before kissing both of your cheeks and hopping into the shower.
“You’re next Chris,” you grin up at the tall singer as you close the shower door behind you.

Number 7 for the RWBY ask game!
Yang's "I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!! CAN EVERYONE JUST CALM DOWN FOR LIKE FIVE MINUTES BEFORE SOMETHING CRAZY HAPPENS AGAIN!" from V1
No super deep reason why I like this one tbh. Often I just find myself repeating this line either in my head or out loud when I feel overwhelmed and stressed out. Idk I just find it cathartic and it's just a good line of expressing anger and frustration in a humorous way when too much is happening all at once.
"Do you believe in destiny?"
The last words said before her death, carrying Pyrrha's legacy. The way it encapsulates Pyrrha's arc and her struggle with agency and existentialism. The way it continues to haunt the narrative, especially for Cinder and Jaune's characters, makes it one of the most iconic lines of the show.
"This must be really hard on her too"
I have literally written an entire meta on why I love this line.
"Some things are more important, I think. Keeping our humanity."
I absolutely adore the humble and honest defiance Oscar's line has in the face of Ironwood's "we have to do whatever it takes to stop Salem, nothing matters more". It's also really when you see Oscar coming into his own and finding himself, starting to find and assert his own beliefs (...though you can clearly see Ruby's inspiration and influence shining through *gestures to her "so all those times you talked about having faith in humanity... That was just for everyone else?"). Because Oscar is trying to believe in Ironwood's humanity. And in his own, in the face of the merge. He pays for it dearly and yet that belief of his doesn't falter, and we see it again with how he believes in Oz, Hazel and Emerald. And what he says here really is at the heart of what will lead to them saving the day I think, in the same vein as Ruby and Maria's conversation about the Silver Eyes not being about destroying monsters, but preserving humanity and life.
"She's not protecting me. And I'm not protecting her. We're protecting each other"
If Blake and Yang facing against Adam again and holding hands wasn't enough to drive me wild and giddy, this line does. So much growth in Blake and Yang's relationship culminating in their confrontation with Adam, especially with this line. Letting go of matyr complexes, and instead coming together as equals to mutually uplift and support each other, so neither has to suffer alone or feel infantalised or overshadowed as the protector or protected, instead growing beyond that into something stronger and more beautiful, the moment their love truly began to blossom.
"You atlas elites are all the same! you think hoarding power means you'll have it forever, but it just makes the rest of us hungrier. And I refuse to starve."
I love this line for the feral energy it has, the raw drive and ambition Cinder has that it bleeds far past desire and into a need, a desperation. It carries so much weight with it, the foreshadowing for Cinder's backstory as a slave girl trampled and abused by atlas elites, literally starved for food, affection and agency. I really love the way the hunger motif in general is used. On top of that it makes the foiling between Winter and Cinder very apparent
"Without you I am nothing, but because of you I am everything"
Honestly up there as another one of the most iconic lines of the show. It's said in a a moment of rebellion and triumph by Cinder over her abuser, but simultaneously is tragic in how Cinder is essentially defining herself by the abuse and pain she endured. Fully expecting this line to resurface in a moment with Salem, but with the original meaning turned on its head.
"Maybe there was something you just weren't seeing" I also wrote another whole ass meta about why I love this line
also shoutout to Ilia's "Quit taking pot shots and FIGHT ME LIKE YOU MEAN IT!" and "I DON'T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO! I don't know what else to do..." purely for Cherami Leigh's brilliant performance in delivering such raw and emotional lines.
Ozpin's fear speech is pretty great too.
There's another line from V9 that's one of my favorites too, but I know you haven't watched V9 yet so I'll tell you that one later :)

Ruby’s fingers tapped against the crown she held in her lap, her heart racing as she stayed quiet in the airship. Her eyes stayed on her scroll as she watched a few more calls from her teammates go unanswered from her. As her scroll finally went quiet, she turned it off and took a few breaths to try to steady her heart.
“Not how you thought it was going to be, was it?” Cinder asked.
“I uh… I thought it’d be easier.”
“To betray everyone that trusts you?”
“To follow what I think is truth.” Ruby let out a soft sigh and leaned back in her seat, fingers gripping around the crown. “I-I knew I was going to have to tell them eventually, but I thought… I thought I had more time. I could work both sides, make sure we know what Ozpin is planning so we can keep out of trouble and make sure no one would get hurt. But now Yang knows and I had to fight her… I dont want to fight the rest of my friends as well.”
Cinder nodded and put the airship on autopilot for a moment. “I wish I could tell you it’d get easier, but it wont.”
Ruby nodded and looked out the window to watch the world around them pass by. She was no stranger to watching everything pass by below, but it felt different than it had before. No patching up after a mission completed, no terrible jokes being made to laugh at, no complaints about the cooking or not being prepared for some unforeseen issue… just quiet. Even Cinder seemed more reserved than normal instead of flirting like she had on the way to Beacon.
Finally, Cinder spoke. “Salem probably knows your plan didnt go quite as unnoticed as you said it would.”
Ruby nodded. “What do you think she’ll do to me?”
“I’m not sure. Probably make an example of you, but since we do have the crown, I’m sure you’ll get off easier than if we didnt have it.”
“Yeah…” Ruby said in half agreement. She glanced down at the crown as her fingers ran over it once more, the desire to put it on becoming stronger the longer she held it, almost as if it was begging for her to wear it. Begging to show her the choices that lay in her future as a soft voice whispered in her ear.
“*Wear me.*”
Ruby felt Cinder’s hand on her arm, not aware that she had already started to move the relic to her head. Her arms shook as she lowered the crown back to her lap. “S-should I… not wear it?”
Cinder shook her head. “Not until after Salem has. Its our job to deliver the relics to her, not use them before her.”
Ruby nodded and put the relic into her pack as she watched the ocean turn to land as they approached Evernight Castle. No matter how many times she saw the barren, grimm infested lands, it always made her heart race in fear. Watching the grimm down below climb out of the grimm pools and make their way towards the castle… it was unnerving.
“Just make sure you hand the relic to her,” Cinder said as she brought the airship down to land.
Ruby took one final deep breath as she felt the airship land, her stomach almost in knots as she stood up. The air around her tasted stale as she made her way into the castle and towards the throne room where Salem sat. Her fingers fumbled with her pack with each step as she struggled to get the relic out.
She followed Cinder into the throne room, staying behind her and following her lead just as she normally would. Once she saw Cinder stop, she dropped to her own knee, relic in hand and near her chest as she waited to be spoken to. And yet, the world around her seemed to be quiet as she heard the faint whispering in her head once more. Ruby’s eyes went from watching Salem down to the crown until she felt her fingers leave it as it was pulled away.
“You both have done well,” Salem said as she held the relic in her hands. “And for that, you deserve a gift.”
Ruby looked up at Salem, confused as to what she meant until she felt a sting on the back of her neck as Salem placed a hand on her shoulder. Her muscles clenched as she felt something crawl under her skin. Sweat dripped down her forehead as her body felt like it was heating up. And then… the pain and heat were gone.
Salem pulled her hand away and smiled. “This will make sure you’re able to succeed with claiming the next maiden’s power to secure the next relic. But for now, rest. I’ll let you know when you’re needed again.”
Ruby nodded as she stood up, legs shaking under her weight as she nearly collapsed, only to be caught by Cinder.
“Dont worry, I’ve got you,” Cinder said.
Ruby sighed and put her arm around Cinder to keep herself balanced. “I-I guess I’m more tired than I thought.”
“Its fine. We’ll go to bed and rest. And tomorrow we’ll make sure you’re ready to fight your friends if we run into them again.”
Ruby looked away as she felt her heart sink. Her friends, her teammates… she was sure they’d understand reason if she could get just a moment to talk to them, to help them see things from her point of view. And yet, she was also certain that they would become her enemies whether they understood or not.

You've said before that RWBY's writing can be non-formulaic other than the 3 Act structure that it follows. What is it then that makes RWBY's story and writing so different (especially from more typical pop culture writing) in that regard?
to be completely honest i think a significant factor is that rwby is written by people who care about telling a story and have a very clear vision of what story they want to tell that they are resolutely sticking to no matter what. rwby is pretty remarkable in its sheer indifference to 1. what the fandom wants and 2. mass market appeal. paraphrasing but isn't one of the writers on record saying that they keep an eye on the fandom and if they see a lot of people not getting something they try to make it more obvious in the text? <- i think about this all the time.
bc like. before V9 i tried really hard to manage my expectations because i didn't feel sure, at all, that i wasn't just reading around a bad case of protagonist-centered morality—like i could count on one hand the number of people besides me whose writing on salem aligned with my interpretation and what i thought was going to happen thematically in V9 was so DRASTICALLY different than what the fandom largely seemed to expect and when you're that far off the common thinking then it's kind of like, is it really everyone else who's wrong or is it just you?
and then it turned out i was right. i was in fact so right that i underestimated how hard V9 would go on delivering what was set up in the first eight volumes.
which is fucking mind-boggling to imagine from the writers' perspective. the fucking guts it take to have a finger on the pulse of this fandom and not budge an inch on what this story is about!
<- being formulaic is safe. it is easy. it's palatable. for all that everyone loves to complain about unoriginality, there are a lot of people who just want to be entertained by something familiar. rwby doesn't give a damn whether you like it or not, it's going to keep being the story that it is, you know?
so they're very willing to take creative risks. that's really the heart of it. but there are a few specific like, technical aspects of the narrative that make rwby what it is:
#1, the narrative status quo gets turned on its head not just once, but repeatedly. the fall of beacon, the lost fable, the fall of atlas, the ever after. and by my count there are at least two more key changes before the story ends. it's not all that common for stories to upend the narrative status quo once, let alone multiple times, but rwby is a story about change and the structure of the narrative reflects that. (this also synergizes quite well with the three-act structure.)
#2, the characters are wrong about all kinds of things in all kinds of ways, constantly. some of them lie. some of them make very confident, very wrong assumptions. all of them are working with incomplete information. the ancient immortal character who's spent millions of years alone is cryptic and awkward. half the cast belongs to the keeping secrets cult. the goddamned avatar of knowledge is an unreliable narrator because ruby asked specifically for ozpin's side of the story. the narrative blithely informs the audience in V5 that "truth is hard to come by" is an important enough theme to say it out loud and then throws the lost fable down like a gauntlet. good luck.
#3, related to the above, in most stories the heroic characters know (or learn) and believe the story's themes and the villainous characters reject the theme and embody the anti-themes. in rwby, theme/anti-theme is decoupled from narrative role: ozpin is on the heroic side, but he represents many of the story's anti-themes (fear, distrust, lack of faith in humanity, blind obedience of authority); salem is the main villain and notional big bad, but she believes the theme—so much so that the fandom regularly quotes her soliloquy to express the core theme: "even the smallest spark of hope is enough to ignite change," and "there will be no victory in strength." this opens the door to a lot of really interesting character complexity and is critical for making "salem wins by negotiation" narratively possible at all.
#4, the story takes fairytales seriously. what sets rwby apart from a lot of "deconstructed fairytale" stories is that the point of taking the fairytale logic apart is not to be clever or edgy or grimdark or hyperrealist or cynical about it; the conceit is a tragic, broken fairytale that keeps going forever until it's mended because fairytales are not real but they are true. rwby rejects the moral and emotional simplicity of fairytales in order to weave a fairytale about lifelike characters rather than archetypes. that's a lot rarer than darker and edgier retellings or irreverent parodies by a wide margin.

salem telling cinder "i would like to think i have shown a great deal of patience over my many years walking remnant" is kinda funny, cos looking back to all their interactions where it's just the two of them (with em & merc in the background, but really, they're just standing there, trying to disappear the best they can lol) that patience seemed to have been running pretty thin when it came to cinder.
from asking cinder to confirm whether she killed ozpin or not again (and this time getting her to say it out loud herself, when she barely has her voice back), to telling her to "stop holding back" during training, even that little comment about collecting "assets", to finally the scene the quote is from, even after cinder had "redeemed" herself by delivering the lamp...
there's not much patience shown, and at times it felt like nothing cinder did was ever quite enough for salem.
no wonder cinder started repeating the same words she kept saying to the madame over and over again.

10. the fashionable miss forbes
Tumblr media
summary: while bonnie pulls back, you and caroline get some alone time. sheriff forbes delivers devastating news.
pairings: caroline forbes x reader (platonic)
warnings: mention of death
word count: 2.7K
"TONIGHT, night of the comet! Would you like a program?" Bonnie recited, handing a flyer to a passing group of strangers as she, you, and Caroline strolled down the sidewalk. You scanned the flyer, wondering why on Earth you even needed it. It was all anyone had talked about for the past week. Vicki had been attacked. Ryder could be dead. And all this town cared about was this stupid festival. Bonnie glanced at you. "He didn't call, huh?"
"If by him you mean Stefan, then yes," You confirmed. You hadn't spoken all day either. You weren't sure why you were disappointed. Sure, you hit it off, but that didn't mean they had something. He was your friend, and you were delusional. "And I was wondering why until I realized that during our eight-hour talk session, I never even gave him my number."
"That's an important milestone in any relationship."
"Well, you know me," You shrugged. "I'm not a milestone kind of person."
Bonnie laughed. "What are you talking about? You used to document everything. Like that time you taped weed against one of the pages in your scrapbook?"
"I did that?" You asked, frowning. All the time in the trauma center must have screwed with a few of your memories. If only you could forget the memories of the center.
"You don't remember? Your parents freaked!" Bonnie exclaimed, and you giggled, but soon her smile faded. "Look. Caroline and I are worried about you. Ever since you've come back, you've been acting... not like yourself."
"What do you mean?"
"It's just..." Bonnie sighed. "I've never even seen you pick up a sketchbook until yesterday. You love to cook, I remember we used to try out different recipes all the time even though you were terrible at it. And you and Vicki always fought when you were sober, but at the end of the day, you two were good friends."
"What are you saying?"
"That you've changed." Bonnie confessed, smiling sadly. "Y/N...what happened to you?"
The pitiful look on her face was lethal. You nearly winced, but kept your composure and shrugged. "Nothing happened," You assured her but it didn't alleviate your friend's concern the way you hoped it would. "I mean it. Nothing happened, okay?"
"Alright," Bonnie replied reluctantly. "But if you ever need someone to talk to, we're all here for you."
"I know," You said, giving her a fond smile. Bonnie happily returned the gesture and grabbed your shoulder comfortingly. You handed a flyer to a passerby, hardly noticing how quickly Bonnie snatched her hand away, as if she'd touched the steam from a kettle.
You noticed Caroline across the lawn, a flirtatious grin on her face as she stalked towards someone. You followed the determined blonde's gaze but frowned when you realized no one was there—at least no one who seemed to be interested or even aware. You glanced back at Caroline, who appeared to be as lost as you. What the-?
"Care, you alright?"
"What?" Caroline's head snapped in your direction. She blinked into reality and faked a smile before joining the pair. "Yeah, I'm fine. So what are you two going on about?"
"I have to go," Bonnie blurted out. Before either girl could say anything, she spun around and rushed away, stealing a frightened look at you. You tilted your head to the side. What was that all about?
Caroline faced you, furrowing her eyebrows. "What's going on with her?"
"I'm not sure." Bonnie seemed...afraid of you. But she had no reason to be, right? What you had done to her? Unless...
Unless she saw something. What if she really was a witch? What if she had psychic powers and could see into your head? But...no. That was absurd. Just because her ancestors were from Salem didn't mean she was psychic. Bonnie's reaction could be due to a number of factors, factors which didn't even include you. It wasn't personal. It surely felt personal...but feelings weren't always the best judgment. It wasn't like Bonnie was the most forthcoming about her home life.
Within seconds, Caroline confused expression flipped into a dazzling smile. "So I was thinking, since tonight's a very special night and Stefan's going to be there, I should do your hair and makeup."
"Caroline, I am not going to let you come anywhere near me with a curling or flat iron."
"But-"
"Last time, you almost burned my eyebrow off!"
"I was seven!" Caroline exclaimed, and you shook your head. "Fine! But at least let me pick out your outfit."
You opened your mouth to protest but quickly snapped it back shut. It'll be our first one-on-one since I came back, you thought. And it's a step towards normalcy.
Caroline stared at you with anticipation. You looked into her wide, excited eyes and sighed. "I have two conditions," You decided. "The first is I will not look like anything between the lines of prom queen or hooker."
"Done!" Caroline declared. "And the second?"
"The jacket stays."
You extended your hand. Smiling, Caroline gave it a light shake. "Deal."

You threw yourself on the cloud-like blankets, sinking in the refreshing fluff. You were wearing nothing but a bra and shorts, and your body felt so much lighter. It'd been a while since you'd visited the Forbes household but God, had you missed it. You suddenly remembered the secret to your sleepovers; you had the best movies and Bonnie had the best snacks, but Caroline had the best blankets.
"How's this?" Caroline asked, holding up a yellow sundress. You were currently in her bedroom, picking out an outfit. Unfortunately, you weren't making it very easy. Over the past hour, your complaints had been that the dresses were too flashy, too short, too long, too spotty—the last one was "too sporty." Caroline didn't even know what that meant!
You pulled herself from bed heaven and stared at the dress in front of her. It was pretty...for a cowgirl living in the countryside, maybe. You shook your head. "Too bright."
Caroline sighed exasperatedly. "Okay, really?" You had always been rather difficult to dress, but this was just ridiculous. It was one dress! For one night!
"What?" You asked with an innocent laugh. Caroline rolled her eyes and stuffed the dress back between a million others.
You peered into the closet, inspecting the array of colors and fabrics. It was like a shopping mall in there. Or the rainbow Dorothy sang about. You perked up when you caught a glimpse of black silk. "Wait is that my jumpsuit? I've been looking all over for that!"
Caroline raised an eyebrow, giving you a judgmental stare. "You wanna wear that with a leather jacket?"
"Fine, how about that?" You pointed at a small blue, black, and white checkered dress. It was subtle, casual, short but not too short, and it mixed well with leather.
"Plaid?" Caroline asked skeptically. She'd never known you to wear plaid. In fact, that was one of the few things only she and Bonnie had in common. Caroline was pretty sure she'd borrowed that dress from Bonnie junior year, actually.
"Would you rather have me wear the jumpsuit?"
"Plaid it is," Caroline replied instantly and pulled it off the rack. You took it from her hands and pulled it on. Caroline sized you up and down as she smoothed out the wrinkles with her hands. "Hm...It's missing something."
Caroline beelined for her drawer. After a minute of rummaging through her belongings, she came across what she was looking for: a pair of golden hoops. "Here."
You rubbed them between your fingers, inspecting them carefully. They were hard spirals. Probably not too tough. Made of cheap nickel or aluminum. Just like the ones...
"Y/N?"
Just like the ones your mother used to wear. You smiled, raising your head to meet Caroline's concerned eyes. "They're beautiful. Thanks, Care."
Caroline returned the smile, unaware of the context, but knowing there was something deeper going on. Knock, knock.
"Ugh Mom, I have company!" She shouted at the door, rolling her eyes. The door was gently pushed open to reveal none other than Sheriff Forbes. She was still in uniform—you couldn't recall ever seeing her without it. When she saw you, her eyebrows quirked in surprise.
"Y/N," She greeted merrily, a light smile gracing her lips. "I thought I heard you...I didn't know you were stopping by."
You nodded cordially. "Caroline's just helping me get ready for the festival."
"Oh..." Sheriff Forbes seemed to ponder something for a moment.
"Do you need something?" Caroline snapped. It was no secret that Caroline and her mother didn't get along. Ever since her dad left them after coming out as gay, all Caroline had was her mom...but it seemed like all Sheriff Forbes had was her job.
Sheriff Forbes cleared her throat. "Well, since you're here, do you mind if I speak with you for a moment?"
Your heart thumped. Speak with you? About what? You'd already told Sheriff Forbes everything you knew...well, everything you knew at the time. It's not like you could tell her that Ryder was a vampire and he might have assaulted Vicki.
"Really, Mom?"
You forced a smile. It would look worse if you didn't cooperate. Plus, you'd known Sheriff Forbes almost your whole life. You couldn't say she was trustworthy for sure, but you did have history. "It's okay, Caroline. I'll be back in a minute."
Caroline groaned. "Fine, whatever, just hurry up!"
"I will, I promise." You held out your pinky finger. Caroline scoffed but interlocked pinkies. Sheriff Forbes glowed at your interaction. Caroline crossed her arms as her mom and best friend walked out.
"Let's go to the kitchen," Sheriff Forbes suggested. You followed after her, glancing around the hall. Everything looked the same. Polished wooden floors. Olive green walls. Darker than Holly's eyes but full of charm and life. The doors were made of glass panels and white frames.
You remembered summers spent in this home, looking at your reflection in the panels as you compared heights with Bonnie and Caroline. The fridge that you and the girls raided one night in July before sneaking up to Caroline's room and dividing the ice cream and gummy bears. Sheriff Forbes had hidden it there, hoping the girls wouldn't see it until the following afternoon, but you noticed everything—and you were quick to spill.
"Do you want anything to eat?"
You snapped out of the memory. "No. Thank you."
You sat down at the table. Sheriff Forbes sat across from you, observing you with empathy and uncertainty. "You're a good kid, Y/N," Sheriff Forbes began. "And you and Caroline are such great friends, which is why I don't want to haul you all the way to the station."
You shifted in your seat and set your clasped hands on the table. "What's going on?"
"After the animal attack on Vicki Donovan, we scoured the woods to find whatever it was that bit her," Sheriff Forbes explained carefully, studying your reaction. Okay...animal attack...Vicki...what did any of this have to do with her? "And we found a body instead. Ryder Duran."
You stared.
For a moment, you didn't know where you were, like you'd forgotten you existed. You hadn't even realized you were crying until the teardrops trickled on your hands and slid against the table. Then it hit.
Ryder was...he was gone.
"So it was him," You whispered. You blinked, meeting the sheriff's eyes. "I saw him...at the bonfire. I didn't want to believe..."
"I'm sorry, Y/N." Sheriff Forbes reached for your hands and pat them tenderly.
You sniffled and wiped your tears. Now was not the time to lose your composure. "How did he die?"
"We're still waiting on the autopsy," Sheriff Forbes replied. "We don't know really anything about him, except that he was good friends with you. In fact, we wouldn't even have ID'd him if it wasn't for the cell we found in his back pocket."
"I don't know if I can help you."
The sheriff smiled reassuringly. "Anything information is helpful, Y/N. Just tell me about your relationship. Were you two close?"
Close, You wanted to scoff. The last time you spoke, it was because he sold your brother drugs. You'd called him an asshole...that was the last word you'd said to him. He hadn't heard it but it didn't matter. That was your last thought of him...that he was an asshole undeserving of your affection. All because he hung up on you to talk to some stranger. What if the person who had interrupted your final conversation killed him?
"Y/N?"
"We weren't best friends or anything," You finally responded. Sheriff Forbes brought her hands back. "We'd only known each other three months but...we got along."
"How did you two meet?"
You smiled. Oh, you could never forget the day you met Ryder Duran. You'd been scared out of your wits; he was the only person to ever put the fear of God in you. But you couldn't say that. You had to stick with the plan: operation return-to-normalcy. Your story was ready. All you had to do was be convincing. You couldn't show weakness.
"When my parents died, I was sent to Coral City's Trauma Center," You recounted. You'd practiced this with Holly so many times just to be safe, but never thought it'd be necessary. "Ryder and I had the same schedule. So during meal hours, we talked. He didn't tell me much about his home life, except that he was adopted and he had a sister."
Sheriff Forbes nodded thoughtfully. "Do you know where she is now?"
"His entire family passed away in a fire," You said flatly. The sheriff blinked. "I think I was his only friend." To think the last time they spoke, you blew him off.
"Can you tell me more about the center?"
You glanced at the wall behind her. Green. Like soft moss or pond water. "What do you want to know?"
"Did you like it there?"
You allowed yourself to scoff. "Away from my friends, family, and everything I love? Of course not. We had no contact with the outside world. The only thing I had to keep me sane were my journals, sketchbooks, and the nurses."
"That sounds like a prison," Sheriff Forbes remarked. The uncertainty was back. Perhaps you should've maintained eye contact...but how could you look someone in the eye and hide the horrors you'd been through? Of all the things she'd seen and experienced, that was the most impossible. But the best lie had a semblance of truth.
"It felt like one." You and the other patients had a word for it: purgatory. But none of them dared say it in the presence of the doctors and outsiders. You cleared your throat. "Is that all? I should go, Caroline's waiting on me."
"Of course." Sheriff Forbes rose to her feet and offered a hand. "Thank you for your help, Y/N." You gave it a firm shake and stood, forcing a smile. "I'll let you know as soon as we find something."
"Thanks," You said gratefully. "And do you mind if we keep this between us? I just don't want...you know..."
Sheriff Forbes smiled with understanding. "Your secret's safe with me."
When you returned to Caroline's bedroom, your mind had drifted to all sorts of hell. But with your best friend present, you couldn't break. You'd already cracked before Sheriff Forbes. That was a mistake. You couldn't make it again.
Caroline, who'd been standing by the window, turned when she heard you enter. "What was that all about?"
"Nothing," You sighed, and plopped on the bed. "She was just asking me questions about the animal attack."
"I told her she needs to stop hounding people!" Caroline exclaimed. She plucked a tube of lipstick from her dresser and gestured wildly with her hands. "It's not like any of us saw anything and even if someone did, they were probably too wasted to remember."
You arched an eyebrow at the tube. "Um, what is that?"
"It's called lipstick," Caroline responded slowly, as if speaking to a child. "Made in 1884, the thing people apply to their lips when they want to look nice."
You rolled your eyes. "Alright, smartass, I know what it is. I'm not wearing that."
You didn't have a problem with makeup, but this was just going overboard.
"But-"
"Don't push it."

Love Thy Neighbour (6.1) | Bob Floyd
Tumblr media
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Part 4 Part 5
Bob Floyd x Reader (no mention of y/n)
Warnings: major character death, angst
A/N: I’m sorry and I love you all very much, I’m working on an alternate ending for you if people are interested???? but you’re stuck with my pain for now
Adjusting while Bob was deployed was far from easy but you knew what you were getting into months ago when you first started dating, you sure as hell weren’t leaving now.
That first week there was the occasional phone call he was allowed make, they could be 6 hours long and it still wouldn’t be enough for you, but life had to go on and Bob told you that, so that’s what you did.
You watered his plants and kept his side of the bed warm. Some nights were colder than others, those nights were the ones where Salem, your cat would curl up at your feet, the only reminder you weren’t alone.
You wished you were able to count the days until he came back but he didn’t know when that would be. He just told you you’ll see a handsome man in uniform to show up when you least expect it, so that’s what you did.
You sat at your desk willing the hours to go faster, you hadn’t quite made it to 5 yet but you were getting restless, the days felt longer waiting for him, the office seemed quieter too. You were pulled out of your thoughts by a soft knock on the door.
“There’s someone down in the lobby asking for you.”
That’s weird. You had finished all your meetings for the day and it was much too late in the afternoon for a spontaneous drop in from a client either.
Your heart quickened. Was Bob finally home?
The short walk down to the lobby felt like a never ending maze as you tried to push the butterflies in your stomach down, it could be nothing. Someone probably left something in your office and needed it back.
People were clearing out for the day as you made your way down. You felt all the air leave your body as soon as you saw Jake and Bradley there.
They both looked worse for wear, Bradley has a few bruises and cuts on his face and Jake look like he hadn’t slept in the past week, he probably didn’t.
“What are you doing here?” your throat went dry as you finished the question.
You knew, the sick nauseous feeling washing over your entire body knew. You just didn’t want to hear it.
“I’m sorry… they had to eject and Bob- he didn’t make it-“ was the only part you heard from Jake before your world went quiet.
If you listened hard enough you could hear your stomach drop.
You tried to scream but you weren’t sure if any sound had come out. Bradley had caught you before your knees hit the floor as Jake reached for your elbow.
You didn’t care that people were watching you being carried out of the lobby, you didn’t care that you were wetting Bradley’s t-shirt, you didn’t care that Jake kept trying to comfort you by telling you that Bob wasn’t in pain when it happened.
You sat in the car with Bradley’s jacket around your shoulders as you tried to catch your breath, there wasn’t enough air in the world that could soothe the burn in your lungs. You could feel him looking at you in the passenger seat as Jake followed you home in your car.
This wasn’t real. You’d get home and Bob would be in the kitchen singing The Beach Boys like he always was.
“Is Nat… did she…” “She made it out. Shaken up, but she’s okay.” “Oh, that’s good.”
You turned your head out the window as the tears started to fall again. You wanted to tell Bradley to just drive and never let you go back. Once you got the apartment it would all be real.
“You need to eat. Some of the guys brought over some food and Jake has the things from Bob’s locker. Technically we shouldn’t be giving them to you but he’d want you to have them.”
“What about the funeral? I don’t know where to start I haven’t even met his family.”
“They called his family when it happened. His sister is his next of kin so she’s organising everything.”
Bradley gripped the steering wheel as his voice caught in his throat. It wasn’t easy news to deliver that you didn’t have any say in how everything would play out in the next week but he had to do it.
“I don’t get anything Brad do I? I know how these things go.”
“Not legally but we’ll take care of you. We promised him.”
“Say his name”
“Bob, we promised Bob.”
The next few days passed in a blur. Morning, noon and night blended into one constant blur of nausea and just trying to pull yourself from the bed to the shower everyday.
You stood facing your reflection before you left for the funeral. Alone.
The first time you were going to meet the person who you loves, family was going to be at his funeral.
You sat second row. Jake made sure that was saved for you. You looked as the seats around you filled with people who knew and loved Bob, people who you could’ve grown to love too.
None of the squad could sit with you but they made sure you knew they were there. You could see their shoulders had a chance to relax as people began to leave the cemetery. You didn’t move. More so, you couldn’t.
You watched as the fresh dirt was piling on top of everything you loved.
“How did you know Robert?” you were brought out of your daze by a lady who stood a row in front of you. You knew a Floyd’s eyes the second you saw them. A glance at the flag folded in her hands confirmed it.
It was selfish but you wished it was yours. Something for you to cling to.
“I was his neighbour”
“Well thank you for coming to the service. I know he would’ve appreciated it.”
She bid you a sad smile and walked away, but turned on her heel, “His girlfriend, did you know her? Have you seen her today?”
“No, I’m sorry about that.”
“That’s okay sweetheart, get home safe.”
You made sure everyone was gone before you went over to the grave. It was early November and the grass was wet. You didn’t care as you sat down on your coat. Running your fingers across the smooth white marble of the headstone, tracing every letter.
“Hi Robby…” for the first time in the last week and a half you felt somewhat calm.
“This is so stupid I don’t even know if you can hear me. I hope you can hear me. I hate you. I hate you so much for leaving me here by myself. I hate the way the bed still smells like you but it’s already fading.”
The tears were flowing freely for the first time all day. They were soaking your neck and collar and you couldn’t breathe the air in fast enough.
“You know Salem still sleeps on your side of the bed? I don’t think I’ve been in my own apartment once the last week.” You pulled your sleeves down as the sun started to set, ignoring the goosebumps making an appearance all over your body.
“I’m so proud of you. I wish I got to tell you. I wish I got to tell you a lot of things. I wish I got to tell you ‘I do.’ I wish I got to actually meet your family… I lied to your sister today and I know you’d hate me for it. You look just like each other.” you let your shoulders sag as the weight of the words left your body.
“Would you be proud of me if I told you I only cried once today? I put on your Beach Boys records while I got ready, I swore I could hear you screaming the words in the kitchen.”
Jake watched you sit and talk to the headstone for what felt like hours, it was the most anyone had gotten out of you all week.
The squad had filtered off as it got darker, Bradley and Natasha were the last to leave, it was just Jake on a bench under an oak tree and you, talking to a piece of marble.
“I love you Bob Floyd. I’ll scream it to the sky every night in hopes that you’ll hear it.”
“Need some company?” you heard the Texan drawl as Jake draped his jacket over your shoulders. You didn’t think anyone else was still here.
He didn’t care that he was sitting on the damp grass in his uniform. That shocked you.
“I miss him Jake” “He was crazy about you. Never shut up about you from the night he met you.” He nudged your shoulder and you smiled, eyes still on the picture of Bob, resting on the soft, fresh dirt.
He looked so young, he was in his dress whites. He would always be the most handsome man you laid your eyes on. No one held a candle to him.
“Hopefully he can’t hear but he was one of the smartest guys I knew.” Jake heard you chuckle softly.
He felt his lip quiver, him and Bob had their differences but he wished he had of told him that he was one hell of a WSO.
“I can’t promise I won’t tell him.” “Ah that’s okay, let him hear.”
The silence between you was comfortable.
“He never hated you, I know you think he might have, but he admired you Jake. Said you were the second best pilot after Phoenix”
His Adam’s apple bobbed in his through as he swallowed down his tears. You rested your head on his shoulders.
“Before we went, he made us promise that if anything happened to him we’d take care of you. We mean it. We look after our own. And he was the best of us.”
It was dark now and he couldn’t feel his fingers, the breeze had cooled down considerably.
“Let’s get you home.”
“I think I’ll stay awhile longer. Just want to take one more look at him.”
You felt him squeeze your shoulder before you heard his dress shoes on the gravel on the way to the car.
You pressed a kiss to your fingertips before you touched the cool glass of the picture frame.
“Goodnight Bob Floyd.”

Arculus Rift Short 1: I will always be with you anytime.
Team rwby+J were running against neo in what looked like a white void with a stone road being their ground until team rwby manages to get close to the portal to return remmant and neo who was close was going to try to attack one of them but jaune appeared hitting him neo throwing her on the ground almost going to the edge and she gets up looking at the same with hate.
Jaune: I'll hold her!
Ruby: Wait jaune but what if you can't come with us and if the portal closes while you're here?!
Jaune: I'll find a way now enter this portal now!
Neo would get up with her anger she would use her semblance to transform into the jabberwalker and she would go at her using her tail and bottles to attack him but jaune defended with her shield and dodge carefully not to fall off the platform and would give some cuts in the creature.
Jaune: I can't protect pyrrha or penny but it's not because of you that I won't be able to protect them!
Jaune goes towards neo to deliver blows and managed to cut his tail and for a moment he looks towards the portal and saw that she had already entered until when he turns his focus to neo he would take a scratch from her claw or throwing it on the ground breaking his aura and throwing his sword and shield on the ground and he would get up with difficulty but he would be with a confident smile.
Jaune: Looks like I managed to slow you down a lot hehe…
Neo would let out a scream of hate and go towards jaune but until she felt her body being paralyzed and in her body there would be a green aura and she would be lifted and thrown into the void and seeing jaune would be confused until he saw her armor and sword and shield being redone and returning to a cleaner and more updated state and I would look at the figure that would be penny and he had tears on his face and his mouth was open.
Jaune: P-penny ?!
Penny: salutations!
Jaune: Penny because you helped me I ended your life there's no point in you helping me…
Penny would just come and hug Jaune, shutting him up and then letting go of the hug and wiping the tears that came out of her face until she takes his hand and leads to the portal.
Penny: I know jaune but remember I asked you to do that and I forgave you but now you have to go everyone is waiting for you and tell Ruby I said hi to my best friend and that I will always be by your side!
Penny would say that and her body would disappear like a green energy and jaune seeing that would be happy and calmer and would put on his new helmet with his new weapons and enter the portal to help his friends against salem.

The Interview
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Lisa Lavender Live. As always, I am your host, Lisa Lavender, and tonight we interview a man who was responsible for saving all of Remnant from the Grimm more than twelve years ago. Please, join me as we welcome a hero of great renown, Jaune Arc!"
The crowd roared as they stood and applauded the well-shaven gentleman seated across from Lisa Lavender. His stomach felt like there were rocks tumbling around inside, but that couldn't be the case because he threw up in the dressing room already. He was on camera in front of millions of people across Remnant, all of whom lauded him as a hero, which was part of the reason why he was so hesitant to do any interviews since what became known as "The Fall of Grimm". He'd seen many interviews of celebrities fumbling and it coming back to haunt them years later. Here's hoping this wouldn't be one of them.
"Jaune, how are you feeling?"
"I threw up." The audience laughed. At least they loved it. "In the dressing room. Sorry, I'm not used to being on camera."
"If I recall, you were responsible for delivering Ruby Rose's message to the world, weren't you?"
"I was, but, uh..." Jaune scratched his head. "To be honest, I never was good with technology."
"Is that why you use a sword and shield?"
"It's part of it." Jaune replied. "To be honest, this old thing was just a heavy heirloom sitting on my family's wall until I left for Beacon."
"Beacon Academy, correct? That's where you had your schooling?"
"Well, it's where I first started until the Fall of Beacon, and then I walked all the way to Atlas."
"You walked from Beacon to Atlas?"
"Well, I rode a train from Haven to Argus. Not really a fan of flying."
"What happened the last time you flew?"
"I threw up." The audience laughed again. Two for two, and he was winning each round. So far so good. "Yeah, I don't know what it is, but I was just really bad with flying. I still am, too."
"Are you sure it isn't just nerves?"
"After all the bullheads I've been on, Miss Lavender, yes, I'm sure." Third time and everyone chuckled.
"Well, I'm sure you know that I didn't just bring you on stage to just talk about your airsickness." The hostess smiled. "After all, you were the commander of the Five Kingdom Army."
"I feel sick just thinking about it." Fewer chuckles this time. Okay, the joke was dead. Moving on. "But yeah, it was last minute decision to be honest. As soon as I showed up, everyone started rushing me into these briefings and plannings and I had to be the one to look over the positioning of all five kingdoms. I mean, it would be like someone grabbing you on your first day at Beacon and throwing you off a cliff to see how you landed." He chuckled. "Which, yes, I can compare to." The audience laughed.
"So what was going through your mind when you were planning?"
At this, Jaune was quiet. He leaned back and closed his eyes, remembering what Ozpin and Oscar were telling him about their plan to use Ruby as their trump card. He instantly rebuked the idea. With a nod, he answered the question.
"I was thinking about the best way to get to Salem."
"And putting the Huntress Hero, Ruby Rose, on the frontlines. Was that your plan?"
"When I first showed up, I was being told that all of the kingdoms agreed to pull her back to a safehouse until a final push. I told them that their plan was just asking for trouble and said to put her up front."
"Didn't that seem like a big risk, Jaune?"
"Yeah, but here's the thing. Nobody knows Ruby, or her team, RWBY, better than I do."
"Wait, do you know Ruby or RWBY better?"
"Yes." The audience laughed loudly. "But if you're looking for a more serious answer, I would say I know Ruby Rose better than I know her team. In fact, I know three things that her team forgets sometimes."
"Oh? Would you mind sharing these juicy secrets?"
"I would be more than happy to."
--------------------------------------------------
Ruby Rose watched the screen, barely blinking her eyes at the interview playing in front of her. Her best... Former best friend cracked jokes and talked about his arguments with Ozpin and everyone else in the war room like it wasn't a three hour screamfest about how Ruby shouldn't be treated like figurehead. Now he was about to spill secrets about her?
The last conversation they had was more than ten years ago, and just like in the war room, it was just as loud and aggressive, though she was the more vocal of the two. He wanted to settle down and she wanted to be free, using her childhood home as a base. Jaune wanted to keep in touch, but she'd slammed the door in his face and never looked back.
And now he was talking with Lisa Lavender on her talkshow, gabbing about the two of them like they were still friends. Part of her wanted to be mad at him, but another part wanted to forgive him. The former was easy, but the latter... She couldn't. Even if it had been more than ten years, there was something about how Jaune put his foot down about having the house and her visiting now and then, it just... It hurt. It still hurt.
Maybe what he's about to say will make her anger more justified.
"First of all," he said, "and you'll probably want to write this down; Ruby is probably the most agile huntress I have ever met. Probably even more so than her teammate, Blake. You could even say, she can really move." He tapped his palm. "She can really move, right that down."
"Okay, I'll write it." Lisa Lavender chuckled as she wrote on a notepad.
Ruby let out a sigh. It was no secret that she moves a lot. After all, the whole reason for their big fight was how she wanted to keep moving but Jaune insisted on staying where he was. He was stubborn and stiff, but she was more aloof and carefree. Was she biased? Of course she was. She's Ruby Rose.
"Second, she's really mouthy." Jaune said with a furrowed brow. "Like, she can be a real brat sometimes and kinda bossy. Like, things have to go her way or no way at all." Ruby shared his scowl. "For that one, write down that she's got an attitude."
"She's got an attitude, got it."
"I do not." Ruby muttered, glaring at the screen. Did she come off a little standoffish sometimes? Sure, but only when big, meatheaded knights were trying to force her to do things she didn't want to. She huffed. How long was he going to be sitting there saying these untrue things?
"Ready for the last one?"
"I'm ready, Jaune."
"So, and write this down, she's the fastest thing alive." Ruby blinked. What did he just say? "Like, I remember we got into a food fight with each other, and she just ended it all with a WHOOSH! Instant hurricane in the cafeteria and I'm on the wall, covered in grease and soda and juice." He chuckled. "I was completely soaked in food and drinks." He sighed. "Could read back what you wrote down?"
"I think I know where this is going, but okay." Lisa Lavender chuckled. "So, Ruby Rose... She can really move."
"Ruby Rose." Jaune said with a nod.
"She's got an attitude."
"Ruby Rose..." His body tensed, grinning ear to ear. Ruby's heart raced.
"She's the fastest thing alive?"
"SHE'S THE FASTEST THING ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE~!" Jaune belted out the chorus, standing from his feet and pointing to the sky like a rockstar. The crowd went wild, roaring with applause, even as he sat down with a sigh. "I'm sorry I had to drag you through that."
"Let me guess, was this a bet you two made?"
"Not really." Jaune chuckled. "Ruby Ro- Er, sorry. Ruby is my best friend. And even though I haven't seen her since we beat Salem together, I would say that she'll always be my best friend."
"Oh?" The crowd cooed at the sweet remark. "Would you say this friendship goes beyond normal friends?"
"Yeah, but not like that." He said with a chuckle. "She's still as much my best friend as I am hers. And even if she doesn't think we're friends anymore, I would say it to my grave that she's still mine." Everyone in the audience cooed even more.
"Well, that's all the time we have for the interview. Anything more you want to say to Ruby if she's listening?"
"Yeah." He looks to the camera, smiling. "I'm still here for you, Ruby."
Ruby turned off the screen, weeping into her hands.

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to Lisa Lavender Live. As always, I am your host, Lisa Lavender, and tonight we interview the Huntress to end all Huntresses, a woman who just might be the most talked about woman to this day, the one and only, Ruby Rose!"
The crowd cheered and roared with even more excitement that when Jaune was on stage. Thankfully, her best friend stood in the wings, smiling as he watched her. She smiled back to him, and then smiled to the crowd and waved. As the roaring died down, Ruby directed her attention to the hostess as she began speaking.
"Thank you again for meeting with me, Miss Rose." Lisa Lavender said. "I can't deny that I'm a little honored that in the past twelve years since your victory over Salem, this is your first interview, right?"
"Yup!" Ruby replied. "Er, I mean, yes, it is."
"There's no need to be so formal, Miss Rose." Giggled Miss Lavender. "We're just having a conversation."
"In front of millions of people." Ruby clarified.
"You get used to it after a while. And I have to say that I'm surprised that you chose to come on just a month since Jaune Arc's own interview! I guess you two really are as close as he said!"
"Eheh, um, not exactly." Ruby said. "To be honest, when Jaune asked me to come on the air, it was probably only a week or so after we made up."
"Oh?" Lisa leaned in. "Was there tension between you two?"
"Something like that." Ruby answered. "Just a few days after his interview, I spoke with Jaune for the first time in more than ten years. And our last conversation before that didn't exactly end on good terms." The crowd awed at the statement.
"I wasn't expecting this much juice this early on. If you don't mind, would you care to explain."
"Not really, since it's all resolved now." Ruby said with a sigh. "Besides, I'd rather talk about us making up for lost time."
"Ooh~! Now this I have to hear! Do you want to hear, everyone?!" The crowd cheered, making Ruby shrink a little. "Well, there you have it. Tell us everything, Ruby."
"Okay." Ruby took a deep breath and let it all out. "When I showed up at Jaune's door, the first thing we did was hug." The crowd cooed. "And I had to tap him on the shoulder because I was having trouble breathing." She giggled and the audience laughed with her. "The next thing I know, we're sitting on the couch and just... talking. We talked about, well, everything!" Ruby shouted with a smile. "What we were doing, how everyone we knew was doing, when was he going to start growing his beard out." Everyone laughed at that.
"Well, it sounds like you two really are the best of friends. What was it like, burying the hatchet?"
"I..." Ruby gulped. "There was a lot of tears at first. I cried, he cried, I cried more, and then he cried more, and I told him to stop crying more than me, and he said no." The audience laughed after cooing. "And it's just... It's like I walked out that door ten years ago, and not a day passed since I came back."
"Well, isn't that sweet?" Lisa Lavender cooed. "Did anything really change since you came back?"
"Just one thing." Ruby said, smiling. She raised her hand, showing off a beautiful gold banded ring on her finger. The audience screamed at the reveal. She giggled. "Oh, come on. It's not that big."
