#saw the older brother from the end of the block going back in without a word after coming out to see what was going on

Well, on a positive note, I can at least say that I've finally started bonding with my sister's boyfriend as opposed to making awkward stilted small talk while we both wait for her to reappear and save the conversation.
#personal#he is a nice kid it's just that neither of us were ever quite sure what to say beyond just Generic Politeness#but there's nothing like a group 911 incident to break the ice and get you all to talk like normal people afterwards.#scared the shit out of him. i think this was his first experience with it poor dude.#when i left today he was still hanging out with taly because neither he nor taly wanted her to be alone and i ended up leaving him with#over 40 bucks for takeout because we have taly food here but the pickings for people without dietary restrictions#are slim and i was worried about him not being willing to leave to go eat and just skipping food altogether.#sweet thought but last thing either of them need.#just shoving him a wad of bills like 'here i gotta head out but please eat'#i think an ambulance has come to the neighborhood like. 5 times since I've lived here#and 3 of those times have been for us.#saw the older brother from the end of the block going back in without a word after coming out to see what was going on#and while normally i have no issue with that one- he's a bit of a hermit and put up with a lot from us neighbor kids when we were little#without bitching about it it's just tge younger brother i can't stand- i couldn't help feeling a little bit scathing about that.#okay there are you satisfied? did you get your look? your entertainment? you gonna go back home and be like It Was That Family Again 🙄?#gonna go back to your quiet life and your jackass brother?#ugh. I've gotten very mean lately. not to anyone in person i don't say anything that would hurt anyone's feelings#i just find myself... thinking them now. when i didn't used to.#it isn't nice. i wish i didn't.

♡ ˚⁎⁺˳ ── enchanted..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing ||  minho x reader summary || when a change in his usual routine meant meeting you, minho couldn't help but be enchanted to meet you. genre/s || love trope. fluff. romance. angst. trope || love at first sight masterlist || stray kids as love tropes mina’s notes ||  sorry for the delay! life was hectic and writers block sucks. please enjoy ♡
Routine was something Minho thrived in. Something about the consistency of his day in the mornings caused the inner calm to be brought to the surface before the hectic schedule of his afternoons and evenings made his peace disappear. It’s why he loved the short walk to the same coffee shop with Seungmin where they ordered their usuals, before heading off to the company building.
Until the day he walked into the café with Seungmin in toe, that his life changed without him knowing it. The sound of an unfamiliar voice filled his ears, what can I get started for you? it asked. So quickly did his attention snap to you, someone new to the place he made a part of his life. When his eyes finally landed on you, your smile took his breath away. It melted away something in his chest that he didn’t know existed. You were like a ray of light in the darkroom that he’d been stuck in for some time. Excuse me? your voice rang out again, softer this time. Seungmin nudged him with a knowing smile before placing their usual order and pulling his older brother away from the forming line.
When schedules pulled them out of their usual routine, Minho couldn’t stop the small frown that kept appearing on his face in between the different activities. Why wouldn’t he stop his mind from drifting back to you? The encounter with you didn’t last more than a few minutes, yet he thought back to your smile and soft voice. The color of your hair and how it framed your face. Minho wanted to know more about you. What were your hobbies? Did you listen to their music? Catching the eyes of Seungmin in the mirror, he only grew more frustrated at himself knowing that once this small break was over, the same conversation with his younger brother would be brought back up.
On the next flight, he couldn’t stop kicking himself once he realized that he never caught your name either. How could something he deemed so small be the only thing that consumed his mind outside of lyrics and choreography? What was it about you that kept him in this state? The lingering questions kept him up. Did you recognize them? Was there someone else in your life that you care for? What else did you do? Minho would ponder these questions while he finally got to lay in his own bed wide awake, cursing himself because he knew that the schedule would continue to take him away from you.
Why wouldn’t he bring himself to stop thinking about you? All he could dream about was showing up at your door, flowers in hand, confessing to you all the thoughts that occupied his mind since that moment he laid eyes on you. Maybe it was for the better, this, longing love for someone he didn’t even know, but that didn’t stop him from imagining what your lives would be like together. Tossing and turning, he pulled out his phone to see their schedule for the next few days, only signing when he realized how much they had going on. What if the small opening at the end of the week allowed him for a fast stop at the café just to see you for a second. Yeah, he was out of his mind.
Opening the door, the next morning, he felt the bubble in his chest seconds before your voice rang out into the quiet space. He knew it was early when he dragged Seungmin out the door, but he didn’t want to miss the chance to see you. You should ask for their name, Seungmin had suggested on the walkover. When Minho saw the same smile as before etched on your face as you greeted them asking again what you could get started, he melted a little bit. Without answering your question he instead replied with, What’s your name?, leaving Seungmin to scoff in disbelief. The soft giggle you let leave your lips made Minho’s knees grow weak as you answered, y/n, bowing slightly to him.
While Minho monitored the member's dance practice, he couldn’t focus as all that possessed his mind was you. y/n he thought. A pretty name to match the pretty face. He was going crazy. His mind wouldn’t let him do anything besides daydreaming about what a future with you looks like. Yet, he knew that Chan was about three seconds away from smacking him or kicking him out of practice until he could be fully invested. Why did you have this effect on him?
Minho’s new routine was getting to the café a little earlier than he did before to ask you one new question a day as a way to get to know you. It was obvious to everyone that he was putty in your hands while you pondered his questions every day, indulging him in making sure that no answer was a one-word answer even though you could have easily replied that way. Was this feeling mutual? What was he feeling? When you smiled at him, all he wanted to do was gift you the world. When you giggled at something he said, all he wanted to do was kiss you.
When an off day finally arrived, Minho followed his usual schedule of going to the café to see you, only to find that you weren’t there, which was the first time since he’d met you that you were there. You had become such a constant part of his days that it felt like everything in this day would go wrong. Making it back to the dorm, he watched as the others shuffled around, filling a picnic basket with food and collecting blankets. We wanted to hang out by the river today, Felix said as he ushered Minho back out the door. The other members are going to meet us there, Felix happily provided more information as he continued to push Minho down the street.
As they approached, Minho couldn’t help but think this would be a great place to take you on dates. Lounging with you, head cuddled into his lap while he plays with your hair, enjoying the weather and the company of each other. So badly did he realize that if he wanted all of these moments, he kept dreaming to come true, he needed to find time to confess to you.
A soft giggle floated across the open space between the rest of the boys and him, bringing his attention back from his daydreams to, well you who was sitting with Seungmin. His feet stopped working as he stared at you. The way you seemed to be glowing under the sun as your laugh caused your eyes to close while you tipped your head back. Gods you were breathtaking. An angel on this earth was placed into his life to bring joy back into it. Seungmin invited them, Hyunjin said as he appeared out of nowhere to grab a few things from Felix. Said something about not wanting to get up so early anymore. Felix just laughed as he continued walking past the stunned Minho. Truly he didn’t know if he wanted to smack his younger member or thank him a million times over again for this.
Then your smile turned towards him as you waved over his way, causing his feet to move without thinking about it. His hand extending down to you before asking, walk with me for a minute? A shy smile pulled at his lips when your hand slipped into his and didn’t let go once you were standing and walking with him. Hope bloomed in his chest that maybe, just maybe, you felt the same way too. Stopping near the edge of the river, he finally turned to face you. The person he was so madly head over heels for. I’m glad Seungmin invited me out, you said looking out over the water, I haven’t made a lot of friends since moving here, so it feels nice to be included. Oh, how his heart ached. He couldn’t understand how someone like you hadn’t made friends yet, but he was practically glad for this little selfish moment of getting you.
I’m more than happy you could come, Minho started, pausing when you looked at him, a smile spread on your face. He felt weak in the knees just looking at you. How had you already made him this crazy over you when he hadn’t even confessed yet. I like you, he blurted out, I have since the moment I met you.
It felt like he no longer had control of his tongue or thoughts. The first day we went into the café, I was so enchanted by you. You are all I can think about in every moment. The words kept coming out of him with no sign of slowing down. Only becoming easier when the look in your eyes seemed to encourage him to continue. I just kept hoping that our story didn’t end there, Minho said before whispering, I just hope you feel the same. Slowly your fingers laced with his, tugging him slightly close to where you stood. I was over the moon when Seungmin invited me because it meant I got to spend time with you outside of the café, you said quietly, I’ve liked you since the moment you walked through the café doors.
The hope that was blooming in his chest burst, forcing him to smile while ducking his head. There it was. The words he so desperately wanted to hear. You like him, he thought before looking back to your face and gently tucking a piece of hair behind your ear. Can I kiss you?

Hey could you write batfam x male reader who is Jason's secret brother? Like batfam as in Bruce, dick, Jason, Tim and Damian, and like after Jason's death and resurrection they finally figure out that Jason had an older brother? Jason hardly remebers him because 1. He died and his memories are a bit fuzzy and 2. He was very young when he last saw his brother. I feel like the male reader took care of Jason, but at some point to try and give Jason a better life he left for sile shady work that promised a good amount of money, that would help Jason stay afloat? And after the batfam find out they obviously try to find him, and Bruce obviously tries to adopt him (even if he's an adult) so he can be reunited with his brother
yes yes yesssss. I was just going to write headcanons but I ended up with too many ideas so have a mini fic! I don't have the best grasp on the whole resurrection part coz I haven't read under the red so that'll be a bit vague. I'm so sorry this took so long. I got crazy writers block but here it is. Tell me if you want more of them or like headcanons because I'm lowkey obsessed with Jason having an older brother.
—————————————————————————
"Hey Bruce, why isn't Jason the first Todd that comes up when you look up Todd death report?" Dick asked as he walked into the Batcave and sat down on the table behind Bruce.
Bruce turned to look at him and raised an eyebrow. He had no idea what his son was talking about as he'd never looked up the reports. He knew his son had died and he hadn't wanted to know anything more. He'd failed his son, and he didn't want to be reminded of it.
"He's the only Todd I'm aware of," Bruce turned his chair around and looked at his eldest son, "Jason doesn't have any relatives."
Dick turned his laptop around and right at the top of the report, it said Y/N Todd. The cause of death just said explosion and body not found.
"Does that sound suspicious to you as well, Bruce?" Dick asked as he leaned forwards slightly.
"Go ask Tim to look more into it," Bruce turned his chair back around, "and don't tell Jason. We've only just got him to stay so there's no need to spook him."
Dick nodded and then walked out of the Batcave.
                                                        ~~~~~~~~~
A few days had passed, and Dick hadn’t brought it up to Bruce again. He had gone and asked Tim though and sworn him to secrecy. He didn’t talk to Jason much, so it wasn’t that hard anyways.
Jason was sitting in the library when Dick came in and seemed to be second guessing himself.
“You don’t read,” Jason said bluntly without looking up from his copy of Pride and Prejudice.
“I totally read,” Dick stumbled through the sentence as he walked over and sat down on an armchair opposite from Jason, “What are you reading anyways?”
Jason looked up at him, confused. What the fuck is Dick on, was all he was thinking. Dick was being nice, and he was normally nice, but this was awkward. This was like the same level of awkward he’d been for the first few days that Jason had been living at Wayne Manor. He had been so confident but also such a nervous wreck.
“Pride and Prejudice. Did you get sprayed with some drug on patrol?” Jason asked as he looked his older brother up and down.
“Nope nopity nope. I just wanted to hang out with you,” Dick said as though that explained why he was more skittish than a newborn kitten.
Jason nodded and then went back to reading. “I don’t remember him that much,” he said offhandedly as Dick went to stand up.
“How did you-” Dick said as he swung around and almost tripped over his feet.
“Tim talks a lot when he’s tired and you’re holding a coffee that he so desperately wants,” Jason replied with a shrug.
Dick’s jaw dropped. “You’re not mad that I’m snooping in your business? When you were little, I touched one of your first edition books and you cried for days.”
Jason’s head turned to look at Dick in two seconds flat. “I what?”
Dick’s eyebrow raised as he stared blankly at his little brother. “You don’t remember?”
The two of them stood silently as they processed what had been said. Jason hadn’t thought he’d lost that much. Dick hadn’t realized that either. He hadn’t realized Jason had lost anything. They didn’t talk much. Talking hurts and they’re both fragile which is seeming to be a trend in this family. (Bruce pay for therapy challenge???)
They stayed in silence for a few minutes before the door opened again and Damian walked in.
“Tim snitched. Your brother worked for some gang guy in Star City until he somehow quit. He’s back in Gotham for the next two weeks staying with,” Damian looked down at his phone and raised an eyebrow, “Selina?”
“How does Tim still keep his identity secret? Wait, so like dads on-off girlfriend, Selina?” Dick asked as he looked at their youngest brother with his eyebrows raised.
“Do we know any other Selinas, big bird?” Jason asked as his head swivelled to look in Dicks direction again.
Dick shrugged and seemed to be thinking. “So, we could just call Selina and ask about your mysterious brother?” He said observantly.
Damian sighed in frustration. “Yes, lets just call up Selina and ask her if she’s hosting Jason’s supposed to be dead brother!”
“It’s a good idea,” Dick tried to protest as he looked to Jason for backup. Jason raised his hands as if to say nope don’t involve me.
“No, it’s not. It’s really surprising that you’re not father’s actual son. You’re both stupid,” Damian replied as he scrolled on his phone until he found what he was looking for. His face lit up and he showed the screen. “There’s a gala on tomorrow. Selinas bound to go just to flirt with father, and she’ll probably take Y/N.”
“Ok, that is a better idea than mine,” Dick muttered as he crossed his arms and sulked.
“All of demon brats ideas are better than yours, Dickybird,” Jason said as he sat back down and reopened his book.
                                                  ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The night of the gala couldn’t come quick enough. Bruce was sitting at the kitchen table in his suit a good hour before they had to go and at that point, he wished he’d hadn’t broken his earbuds the day before. Jason and Tim were shouting at each other in the main first floor bathroom and Damian was about to tackle Dick for making him wear a blue tie. Cass and Steph were on a video chat with Barbs because she was currently at a tech conference so couldn’t make it.
Five minutes before they had to leave, Damian ran out of some room with Dick chasing him. Jason and Tim both tried to run out of the bathroom door at the same time, so Tim slammed into the wall. Steph and Cass walked calmy into the kitchen and laughed at the boys running rampant. Duke had offered to go on patrol solely because he didn’t want to go to the gala.
They all left the mansion and clambered into multiple cars.
                                               ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The gala was bustling, and Bruce made his entrance followed by his entourage of children. The questions started up, but all Jason could think about was whether his older brother was there. Dick was standing close to him and swatting away any stuffy aristocrats who wanted to say how much he looked like the Wayne son who had died as a child.
Tim dragged his feet across the gala to where Dick and Jason were standing. He flopped onto the chair next to Jason and slammed his head down onto the table.
“No coffee?” Dick asked as he leaned against the wall and death stared another aristocrat who wanted their weekly Wayne drama fix.
“When have any of these events ever had coffee and I’m too young to drink and also Y/N is at the bar,” Tim rambled as he sat up straight and rubbed sleep out of his eyes.
“You’re like 18, I was drinking from like 15,” Jason started before his brain caught up with the whole sentence, “The bar?”
Tim nodded and fell forwards again. Dick put his hand out at a speed that could rival Wally and caught his younger brothers head. He nodded at Jason who jumped out of his chair and started briskly walking towards the bar.
At the bar, there sat a guy who looked to be in his 30s with bright red hair. A champagne glass was seated in front of him, and he was staring off into space.
Jason walked over and sat down next to him. He didn’t say anything but instead asked the bartender for a gin and tonic and glanced next to him. Y/N looked just like the fuzzy memories he had of him.
“You new around here?” Jason asked as he waited for the bartender to finish his drink.
The guy who was most likely his older brother didn’t say anything in response. He just sighed and sipped his champagne.
“Haven’t seen you at one of these before. You, uh, came with Ms Kyle?”
The guy gave him a nod in response as he rolled up his sleeves slightly. Jason looked down and saw the burn scar from when they’d been making pasta when he was little. His jaw dropped slightly before he recovered quickly. This was absolutely his older brother so what was he supposed to do now?
“I’m Jason Wayne,” he said so as to not spook Y/N.
“Y/N Todd,” Y/N glanced at Jason, “You look like someone I used to know. Have we met before?”
Jason laughed nervously. “If you’ve come to a gala before, probably.”
“Yeah, probably,” Y/N stood up from the chair, “Well I think Selina wanted an early night so I should go. Nice meeting you.”
Jason sighed as his older brother walked away. He downed his gin and tonic before standing up and walking over to where Dick was still sitting with Tim. He sat down on a free chair and leaned his head on the table.
“So?” Dick asked cautiously as he moved his hand out from under Tim’s forehead.
“He’s my brother,” Jason said tiredly.
Dick gasped and leaned in closer. “So, what you going to do about that, little bird?”
“No idea,” Jason said as he sighed.
                                                ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few days later, Jason was sitting in the library again when Tim ran inside. Jason looked up from his book and raised an eyebrow expectantly.
“He’s been spotted. Cass saw him. Dick’s waiting for you at Wayne Industries,” Tim said out of breath.
Jason placed his book down and ran out of the library. He sprinted down to the Batcave and got changed into his suit. He ran to his bike and pulled out of the cave. He drove down the highways and roads and felt the wind pushing against him. It felt just like how when he was younger, and it was just him and his older brother against the world. He flew down streets and side alleys. He pulled up in front of Wayne Industries and saw Dick sitting on a brick wall nearby. Their comms crackled to life.
“Cass has him and Selina on the roof of Wayne Industries, come on,” Dick said before he ran at the building and started scaling it.
Jason followed suite. The two of them made it to the top in record time and looked around. Cass waved from where she was standing and chatting to Selina. Jason’s older brother was leaning against the staircase door with a frown on his face as he glanced around.
Jason watched him for a moment. He had red hair just like how he did when he didn’t dye it. He was wearing a leather jacket like he did. He had a mask on which resembled the Robin one but not fully. It looked more like a masquerade mask. He was wearing boots, a pair that looked like ones Jason remembered sitting by their childhood apartments door. His older brother looked just like he remembered but also nothing like the teenager he’d idolized.
There was a scar above his eye. There was a necklace around his neck with a black rock. His hair was short and clipped, unlike when they were younger,
 and it sat above his shoulders. He looked so grumpy. Jason had never seen his older brother look that annoyed. He’d always been patient and kind.
“Selina, can we go? I didn’t come all this way just to stand around and chat with your boytoys kids,” Y/N said loudly, interrupting Jason’s thoughts.
Selina turned from Cass and scoffed. “Yeah, you came so far, all the way from Star City and your sad little retail job,” she said sarcastically before turning back to Cass.
Y/N rolled his eyes and finally noticed Jason and Dick. “He has more? How many of you vigilantes are there? Does he grow you in like a lab?”
“One of us was actually,” Dick said as he took a step forward, so he stood in front of Jason, once a protective big brother, always a protective big brother.
“Long story? Yeah, I’m getting used to that,” Y/N shook his head before he glanced at Jason, “What you staring at me like that for?”
Jason tilted his head slightly before taking off his helmet which caused Dick to groan.
“Secret identities, little bird,” Dick said annoyed as he slapped his forehead.
“Oh, shut up,” Jason stepped around Dick, “It’s me, Jason.”
Y/N took a step back and slammed against the wall. “You’re dead.”
Cass turned from where she was talking to Selina and rolled her eyes before resuming their conversation.
“Surprise?” Jason said with jazz hands. “I think we’ve got a lot to talk about.”
Y/N nodded and took off his mask. “Yeah, I think we do.”
                                    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Two weeks later…
Y/N, Bruce and Jason were sitting around the manor’s dining table. Bruce was leaned forwards and staring Y/N down. Jason was leaned back and smiling. He hadn’t stopped since he got Y/N back. Y/N looked like he was about to run out of the room.
“Jason, tell your creepy dad he can’t adopt me. I’m a grown ass man who isn’t going anywhere anyways,” He said as he scooted his chair slightly further away from Bruce.
“Hey, he’s still trying to figure out if he can adopt me and I’m legally dead,” Jason said as he raised his hands in mock surrender.
“So am I!” His brother replied exasperatedly.
“I already adopted you, Jason,” Bruce leaned back in his chair, “Found a technicality.”
Jason turned quickly to face his dad. “Ok, you cannot just drop that in conversation, old man.”
Bruce stood up from his chair. “I’m not even 50 yet. You’ve gotta stop calling me that.”
Jason smiled and shook his head. “I’ll call you what I want, Bruce.”
Bruce smiled to himself and walked out of the room. The older Todd leaned closer to Jason and smiled.
“Your family is weird, Jase,” he said with a chuckle.
“Our family actually, big brother,” Jason said with a wide grin as he stood up from his chair. “Wanna go for a ride?”
His big brother jumped out of his chair and smiled. “I bet my bike goes faster than yours.”
The two of them ran towards the manors front door with the widest grins.
Up on the staircase, Bruce stood as he watched them with a smile. Alfred walked up behind him with a smile and tapped him on the shoulder.
“You must stop adopting all these children, Master Bruce,” he said quietly.
“He makes Jason happy, doesn’t he?” Bruce asked.
Alfred pondered for a moment before replying.
“Yes, he does, Master Bruce. That doesn’t mean Master Jason doesn’t still need his father though,” Alfred said, his voice full of care and love for the two of them.
Bruce nodded as he heard the motorbikes start outside. He then smiled and walked off to attend to his work.
As that thought intruded your brain, you opened up the last door to the back of a blonde head snorting up a line. Your half drunken state wobbled up to him and squeezed his arm. "JJ! thank fuck i found you".
However upon a few seconds of inspection the male glaring back at you was not JJ instead a disheveled Rafe, white powder dusted under his nose.
"What the actual fuck????" you yelped, crawling backwards away from him as he held eye contact now smiling devilishly at you.
Rafe Cameron, the man who ruined your days, caused you withdrawals and constantly harassed you was sat by a glass table casually doing drugs alone.
His golden hair ruffled, immediately you noticed how his dark shirt embraced his arms - his biceps had gotten a lot bigger.
"Do you want to touch me that badly?" he replied laughing as his free hand went into his pocket, grabbing a cigarette.
"Do you think I want to step foot anywhere near you willingly Rafe." you spat back, getting up to find JJ.
Rafe stood up quickly, the male now towering in front of the door blocking your exit. "I want to uh apologise to you Y/N, for what happened with your dealer", you looked at him almost shocked at how he sounded genuine.
You can't be fucking serious Rafe. I need to get JJ. move." you protested.
Rafe didn't budge, instead analysing your dress just shamelessly drinking you in.
How one string being pulled on your halter neck could expose your perfect chest, your smudged makeup making your intoxicated face look dreamy. You stumbled trying to grab the handle of the door while he was undressing you with his eyes, Rafe grabbed your arm tightly almost as a warning.
"Come on sweetheart you don’t need him.. now how can I make it up to you?" Rafe persisted, his blue eyes glancing down at you through his hair. Hoping you would say something since his mind trailed off, filling with the ideas of corrupting and destroying your body with his.
"fuck. okay.. fine." you muttered turning your head to hide your reddening face from the pet name, coincidentally you saw a half empty gram of a powdery white substance sitting inactive on the glass table.
"Can i get a bump?" you asked, instantly a toothy smile glimmered from the older male.
His hand snaked across your waist as he guided you to the table, sitting you down next to him.
You could feel how muscular he was from his hands alone, you secretly admired it and it killed you.
"So, how's school?" he questioned, peering at you through his blonde strands and almost convincing you that he gave a shit. Veins protruding from his pale hands accented with pink knuckles as he grabbed a key.
"Be honest you don't give a fuck" you smiled while snatching the key off him, dipping it into the bag and snorting what was left on the key without hesitation.
Rafe admired closely, the euphoria written all over your face. He kept finding himself studying your features, how pretty your lashes were, how your plump lips were and how your hair wrapped around your face - framing it so gently.
Feeling it drip down the back of your throat, you hummed in happiness, relaxing your shoulders. You laid back on the edge of the couch, unconsciously letting your guard down around Rafe as he suggested another round. His gaze intertwining with yours, you couldn't help but hate how attractive he was.
"Hand me the key" you said, he was infatuated with the sight in front of him. You took another two bumps and once again relaxed your shoulders in pure ecstasy.
While you were in an absent minded state, Rafe rested his large palm on your inner thigh grasping at your warmth, the action gained a whimper from you. His touch was assertive and unexpected, you'd never been this deep into a high before - all of your senses were heightened.
"Rafe what are you m'doing." you slurred your words, peeking up at him with unknowingly innocent eyes.
"Don't worry it's okay, don't fight it" He leaned into your neck and nipped at your skin with his teeth, whispering into your ear to stop resisting.
You moaned breathlessly at the intensity, you felt so far gone you were addicted to this feeling.
"Rafe why ‘m I so sensitive" you slurred back, the blonde working on painting your neck in red and blue.
He kissed your shoulders passionately, in the process he unfastened your halter neck with his teeth. Then used his weight to push your smaller body down onto the couch, using his strength to pin your hands to your bare chest.
"So fucking pretty" he beamed, you felt yourself getting wetter everytime his hands greeted your body.
"Also that wasn't coke, sweetheart" He mumbled, smiling while slipping a free hand into your black laced underwear.
"God you're so fucking wet" Rafe was kissing your cheek hungrily while moving down to your jaw.
Being too high to understand what he was saying, you leaned into his touch.
It was like an ache, you needed Rafe inside of you. His long fingers slipped into you easily and you mewled at the cold sensation.
"Rafe mm please move" you pleaded with him, now staring dead into his eyes when your own weren't rolling back from the ket. You rolled your hips, trying to get anything, any friction yet he stayed put; sadistically enjoying the sight under him.
Seeing you whimpering and fucking yourself on his fingers made him harder by the second.
"Beg for me y/n" he asked, a grin creeping onto his half open mouth. You nodded and pleaded, saying his name like it was a prayer.
He kept you still as he dragged his fingers out - without warning shoving them back in mercilessly, forcing a high pitched moan out of you.
The door suddenly swung open, a semi-sober Topper coming in asking Rafe if he had any coke left, after a few seconds he realised that Rafe had his fingers inside you while your eyes were rolling from the drugs. He stared daggers at Topper indicating he was busy, instead Topper stood there enamoured with your body.
"Let me fuck her" Topper begged Rafe. He took a few seconds to think about it and enjoyed the idea.
"You can touch her but she belongs to me, only i can fuck her" Rafe stated, "isn't that right y/n?" Rafe asked sweetly, honey lacing his voice as he sat you up straight.
"mmhm" you nodded obediently, receiving a grin from ear to ear from Rafe as he met the gaze of his best friend.
Topper sat down on a parallel couch, grabbed a key dipping it in the bag of K. He guided your chin to the key and like an obedient animal you inhaled it. Topper's eyes trailed down to your exposed chest, his dick hardening at your perky breasts.
Rafe felt himself getting harder at the sight of you, so docile and vulnerable. His large arms ushered you to stand up in front of him, your arms resting on the glass table; bending over in front of Rafe.
Topper unbuckled his jeans watching you and Rafe, the latter couldn't control himself and ripped your dress in a swift motion.
"Raaafe i need that" you murmured lifting up your head from the glass table to look behind you.
"Let me have this angel, don't make this hard for me" his hand caressing your ass before slapping it painfully, the sound echoing in the room. Topper stood up and pulled you by the hair, making you engulf his thick cock with no mercy.
You gagged, eyes watering at the size hitting the back of your throat.
Rafe joined the shorter male, envious of him and pulling your panties aside to put his length inside of you.
"Tight little bitch" Rafe groaned lowly, both males started fucking you relentlessly.
Rafe whispering profanities and Topper degrading you for getting wetter at the scenario.
"Stupid coke whore, i bet you love getting drunk off our dicks" Topper added laughing and grabbing at your hair, glancing down to see you drooling on his dick.
At this point the Ket had you overstimulated. Badly. You were barely responsive, all you could let out were broken moans to the insults while they rammed you.
You hummed around Topper's dick submissively while Rafe was pounding mercilessly from behind, his hands greedily digging into your hips, his pace getting faster every minute.
"God you're soaked, such a fucking pretty whore. I'm going to cum inside you. You’re such a fucking moron, letting two older men you barely know fuck you like this" Rafe groaned his free hand travelling down to your clit, his fingertips were rough as he manhandled you.
Your hips bucked from the intense pleasure, "mm cummin' please faster" you mumbled out barely coherent.
Topper lifted your head to look at him, mascara running down your face before he slapped you. You felt tears erupt from the corners of your eyes as you hollowed your cheeks to take in more of his dick.
Topper used your delicate hands instead wanted to hear your whimpering; you were close, your eyes fluttering. Rafe caught onto your high and started pounding faster into you, your body shaking from the stimulation.
You whined realising Topper wasn't in your mouth anymore, looking up and parting your lips on command. The blonde could feel his dick pulse from the state of your face, seeing how much they ruined you on display for him.
The whites of your eyes on show from the consistent pleasure.
Rafe pulled your hair from behind to get deeper, his pace getting sloppy as Topper cupped your face hushing you, making you squeak in response to the pain of the sudden hair pull.
"Good fucking girl, you're taking it so well, you deserve my cum.. you're so well behaved y/n, such a dumb and pretty girl" Rafe raised his voice before releasing inside of you, his warmth coating your insides as you moaned loudly back in response.
Rafe collapsed on the couch, eyes worshipping your pretty pussy - bruised red from his torturous pace with his cum spilling out of it. You lightly sobbed, arching your back at the wetness overflowing onto your thighs.
Noticing, Rafe stuck two fingers back into your tight hole chuckling at your pathetic sounds. Topper made you look up at him as he smiled at your pitiful demeanour, cumming down your throat shortly after. You drank all of it up at once, both smiling at how cute you were.
The taller male carried you to his room in his arms while Topper went outside to smoke.
A certain sweetness seen from Rafe as he put an oversized shirt on you, by that point you'd fallen deeply asleep. He caressed your face, knowing what happened tonight was carefully calculated by him, knowing it would happen again. You just wouldn’t remember it.
"Too naive and pretty for your own good" he whispered under his breath before collapsing next to you on his bed.
Pairing: Rafe Cameron x reader
Summary: When your boyfriend ditches you on the night of senior prom you end up running into the last person you would ever expect to see, Rafe Cameron, your best friends older brother who you haven't seen since he left for college three years ago…
_________
The sidewalk was cold, hard and uncomfortable to sit on but you barely felt it, too consumed by the swirl of unrelenting emotions threatening to overtake you. It was supposed to be the best - the most magical night of your life but instead it had been one long disaster.
Salty tears stung your eyes and made your phone screen blurry as you read the text response from your mom “sorry sweetie, I had to cover someone’s shift, can you get a ride home with Sarah?”
You swallowed and the action felt like glass in your throat “sure” you text back “see you later” as you thought about the fact that Sarah had already left, speeding off in Topper's shiny jeep with a smile brighter than the stars.
She was happy, her prom had been perfect. Her date had shown up, bought her a corsage, danced with her all night long, all things that you couldn’t say had happened to you. And though you’d tried to have fun dancing with your friends the night had been ruined before it even began with your boyfriend's words swirling through your brain “Listen I just have better things to do than going to a stupid high school prom okay? I'll make it up to you.”
That was what you got for dating a college guy… ”stupid high school prom” but it hadn’t felt stupid to you, you’d been dreaming of this day for what felt like your whole life. You had a binder full of dress ideas before you’d even finished middle school and dreams in your head about the perfect night with the perfect date. Josh had seemed like that guy, tall, a little older, handsome and sweet (only when he wanted something, your mind supplied in hindsight) but he’d ditched you after promising he’d be there and he hadn’t even bothered to tell you until the day of.
A burst of anger swept through you knocking the air from your lungs and you swiped the tears from your cheeks as you unblocked your phone, pulling up his contact and hitting “block”. He’d known what this night meant to you and if he wanted to put a stupid frat party over you then you were done.
You felt a strange mixture of sadness and relief as you saw his contact flash away, the delete button pressed. You realised that he’d never really been the dream boyfriend you’d wished that he was, that you were better off without him but it didn’t take the hurt away…the knowledge that you’d never get a do over for this night.
You stood up from the sidewalk, unhooking your heels and tying the straps around your wrist - if you were going to walk home you might as well do it semi comfortably. The concrete was cold under your toes and goosebumps flecked your arms with the breeze, it was an unseasonably cold day in the outer banks and you felt like it was just yet another slight the universe was throwing at you that you had to walk home, freezing in your dress. The perfectly miserable end to the perfectly miserable night.
The walk was long but the streets were empty, everyone locked away neatly in their houses sleeping happily or basking in the afterglow of post prom parties. It seemed like you really were the only one left and the darkness seemed extra vast for it, the orange street lamps luminance making everything look a shade more eerie. But then you heard the roar of an engine and you crossed your arms over your chest protectively, pointedly not looking its way, hoping it would pass you by quickly.
But the vehicle didn’t speed ahead, it slowed down and eventually you were forced to turn to the side to see that the bike had stopped beside you and the driver turned your way, removing his helmet.
Your heart sped up and skipped a beat, was this day really so terrible that on top of everything else you were about to get kidnapped too? You were completely and utterly alone on the dark side street and you wondered if running would make any difference to your fate but then the helmet was off and your eyes went wide, mouth gasping as you realised who it was.
“Rafe Cameron?” you asked, he looked different, more muscular, older, sexier your mind supplied. Though you weren’t sure why that shocked you. After all it had been almost three years since he’d gone off to college and you’d last seen him.
The corners of his mouth turned up in a grin, his own eyes widening and flicking up and down your frame appreciatively. Your cheeks heated up and you turned away from his striking eyes.
“Y/N L/N? Is that you?” he asked the slight edge of disbelief in his voice “what are you doing here?”
Your eyebrow quirked up, amused at his question “well I live in the obx…it’s not unheard of for me to walk down the street you know, question is what are you doing here?”
You knew from Sarah that Rafe didn’t come home often, mostly only when he was obligated to like at holidays and even then his presence wasn’t guaranteed.
He shrugged “would you believe it if I said that I was homesick?”
“Not really.”
“Fair enough.”
There was silence for a beat and then you blurted out “you look good by the way, really good” your eyes went wide as you realised what you’d just said out loud “I-I just mean college suits you…you look healthy. ”
You cringed internally at your choice of words, healthy? Seriously? Exchange a few sentences with him and suddenly you were back to the stuttering, blushing sixteen year old fawning over her best friend's older brother and ‘heartbroken’ when he left for college. Even the memory of it made you cringe.
“Healthy?” Rafe repeated a teasing smirk pulling at his lips as he seemingly knew what you had really meant.
You swallowed quickly “yeah…”
He laughed, the mirth reaching his eyes and you couldn’t help but laugh a little bit too.
“Well you look hot .”
Your cheeks flamed and he grinned “ smoking hot…what happened to my little sister's annoying best friend?”
You looked down at the tires of his bike trying not to let him see your smile “you left…she grew up…that’s how time works you know.”
“Really? Thanks for the lesson…hope she didn’t forget about me though…”
“Oh she didn’t think of you once” you said, flashing him a teasing smirk your conscience laughing at the blatant lie…he had crossed your mind more than a few times over the past 3 years…the fact you checked his long abandoned facebook every couple of months was proof of that, but it wasn’t something that he needed to know.
He threw a hand over his heart “ahh still annoying I see but you wound me.”
“So you thought about me then?”
“Everyday and night, ace.”
Your heart skipped a beat at the long forgotten nickname from childhood (a relic of your slight obsession with the pet detective movies) and you looked down coyly “oh I believe you, bet you have a shrine to me in your dorm don’t you?”
He stuck his tongue in his cheek to stop his laugh and nodded seriously “with candles.”
You giggled “you’re an ass Rafe Cameron.”
“And you’re a dork Y/N L/N.”
There was another, more comfortable pause of silence until Rafe interrupted, repeating his question from earlier.
“So what are you doing here?”
You shrugged “walking home, my moms got the car.”
He frowned “it’s prom night though.”
“So?”
“Well shouldn’t you be off having fun at an after party, sucking face with your date or whatever people do after prom? I know it's been a while since I was in high school but I'm pretty sure people don’t just go home alone.”
You sighed “I just…didn’t feel like it I guess.”
He crossed his arms over his chest and your eyes instinctively followed the movement of his muscles flexing against his white t-shirt.
“I don’t buy it” he shook his head slowly “you are the same girl who would dress up in a disney princess dress and decorate the living room to watch prom movies all weekend, right?”
You pressed your hands to your face groaning “ oh my god …yes that was me but I would like to remind you that i'm not nine anymore, thank you very much. I can’t believe you remember that.”
He laughed “Are you kidding? Of course I do, you and Sarah monopolised the tv every weekend I could never watch monster truck racing.”
“Oh the horror” you said sarcastically.
 “No but seriously what happened, why are you all alone?”
Your heart sped up a little “nothing” you lied but you couldn’t look him in the eye.
“C’mon” he urged you “it’s me , you can tell me.”
You sighed and turned your head away acting like watching a sparrow hopping across a telephone wire was the most interesting thing to look at.
“y/n…this is prom , it isn’t right that you’re just going home. Where’s Williams?”
You turned to him with surprise, you didn’t realise he knew the name of your boyfriend, but you shrugged it off thinking that Sarah must have told him.
“He didn’t come.”
Rafe’s eyebrows shot up “ what ? Your boyfriend didn’t come to prom how -”
You cut him off, wincing at the word boyfriend “ex actually.”
“Since when?”
You shrugged again, holding up your phone “since I blocked him about 20 minutes ago?”
Rafe’s eyebrows shot up so far they practically reached his hairline and he leaned against his bike with a look of confusion and shock “listen ace, you’re gonna have to give me a little more, what happened?”
You deflated with a heavy sigh you didn’t want to hash it back out, you already felt stupid for feeling so upset in the first place over prom and you didn’t want Rafe to see that too.  “Why does it matter?” you asked dejectedly.
“Because” Rafe said, “if i'm gonna put him in the hospital anyway i'd like to at least be able to give an explanation to the cops.”
Before you could help yourself you were laughing, pressing a hand to your lips to stifle the giggles when you saw he was deadly serious, leaning against his bike with a look of fury and righteousness on your behalf.
“You can’t beat him up Rafe.”
“Why not?”
“Assault is kind of illegal just in case you weren’t aware” you teased and he rolled his eyes.
“I'd still do it for you.”
You smiled, looking down at your shoes as you said softly “I know.”
Before you could register the movement he’d stepped closer and you felt the blood rush to your cheeks as you registered the enticing scent of his cologne and his fingertips briefly  brushed your skin as he reached out to tuck a flyaway strand of hair behind your ears.
“Ace” he said gently and you looked up momentarily stunned by just how blue the shade of his eyes were, like the ocean bathed in the glow of the moon “c’mon it's me, tell me what happened.”
Just like that your walls crumbled and before you could stop them the words were tumbling from your lips, tripping over one another as they rushed out “he ditched me…he promised that he’d come and then he text me 20 minutes before he was supposed to get here that he wasn’t coming, he didn’t wanna miss party of the year in his stupid frat or whatever and I guess I just feel so stupid for trusting him…for letting him ruin everything and…”
You had more to say but the words clogged in your throat, lips choking on them until all that came out was a sob as your eyes filled with hot tears and you didn’t have a second to feel mortified that you were crying in front of Rafe Cameron, Rafe Cameron who you’d loved since the moment you’d set eyes on him, because he reached out and folded you into his arms and you instinctively leaned into his embrace.
He smelt like cedarwood and pine and the faint scent of the leather jacket that he'd worn earlier but most of all he smelt like home. Like fresh laundry and hugs that took your breath and your fears away. “It's okay” he murmured, stroking a large hand through your hair and you felt the pins keeping the style in place fall out the locks tumbling over your shoulders and making you feel surprisingly free and for a half a second you laughed wondering what mini you and mini Rafe would have made of the two of you actually getting on for once.
“I'm sorry” you murmured, mortified by the tears, and if you were being honest a tiny bit of mascara, staining his white t-shirt but he just shook his head.
“You have nothing to be sorry for ace.”
You groaned, hiding your face in the comfort of his chest. “I do, I'm being so pathetic…it’s just a stupid high school dance.”
He pulled you away from his chest but kept the contact, his arms warm and firm on your shoulders as he made you look at him and the sincerity on his face.
“You are not pathetic” he said and when you shook your head he gripped your shoulders harder “no listen to me you’re not, he’s the pathetic one because he could have been spending his night with a beautiful, smart, funny girl and instead he gave all that up.”
You tried your hardest not to blush, his words filling you with warmth but making you shy at the same time. “And if you won’t let me kick his ass will you at least compromise and let me run him over with my car?”
You snorted and then nodded slowly “okay but you have to call the ambulance afterwards.”
He grinned and reached out to shake your hand “deal.”
He bumped his shoulder against yours, his eyes sparkling against the darkness of the night “there’s that pretty smile.”
“Shut up” you mumbled, flushing, and he grinned harder.
Suddenly he was pulling away and before you register what he was doing he’d grabbed his leather jacket from where it was slung around the handlebars and wrapped it carefully around your shoulders and you smiled at him grateful that he’d noticed you were cold.
His jacket was soft and best of all it smelt like him and you couldn’t stop yourself from closing your eyes and enjoying that comforting smell if you’d tried.
“Hey daydreamer” his shout pulled you from your reverie and you saw he’d kickstarted the engine on the bike “c’mon i'll give you a ride.”
Your eyes went wide and he smirked “on that ?”
“you scared?” he taunted lightly “what you don’t think you could handle a bike, ace?”
“Are you challenging me Rafe Cameron?”
He shrugged “maybe” and you grinned.
“Oh fuck it” you said as you swung a leg over the bike and he positioned your arms so that they were wrapped tightly around his waist.
“Don’t forget to hold on” he called out and then suddenly you were flying….
Or at least it felt like you were flying, you’d never been on a motorbike before and you quickly discovered that it was fun, the wind rushed around you like you were a speeding bullet and the trees shading the coast blurred into dark green shapes. It was thrilling and fast and you buried your face into Rafe’s back resisting the urge to whoop like you were on a rollercoaster.
“You missed the turn in for my street!” you shouted after a while and you felt rather than heard his laughter.
“I never said I was taking you home ace, the night is still young.”
And you thought that maybe this tragic, horrible, miserable night might not end as such a tragedy after all.
You stare at your phone your phone in disbelief, looking at your best friend's Instagram account. They two of you had gotten into a fight a few days ago. It was bigger than your normal fights, but you decided to give her a couple of days to cool off before contacting her like you normally did. You were confused when the phone only rang once before it went to voicemail and when none of your texts were going through. Desperate to contact her, you went over to Instagram to try to dm her, not sure if you were just having issues with your phone. But when you saw that her profile picture was back to the default avatar and it read that she had 0 pictures, you knew that she had blocked you on everything.
The fight was earth-shatteringly bad. You had said things you know you can never take back, you both did, but you didn't think that this was it for you. That she was willingly to throw away years of friendship without even fighting for it just like that. That she could just toss you aside. Almost like you and your friendship meant nothing to her.
You bite your lower lip, trying to hold back your tears, before shoving your phone in your hoodie pocket. You take a deep breath before finally leaving your room for the first time today. You head straight to the fridge and grab a water bottle from the fridge. You lean against the kitchen counter as you unscrew the bottle cap and take a long sip. You go through all your possible next steps in your head. You're not entirely sure what to do, you've never seen your best friend this mad, not even when she caught her boyfriend cheating on her with one of your mutual friends. Or maybe she was, but since you weren't at the receiving end of her wrath you didn't know how to make up with her. You contemplate just going over to her apartment and trying to talk to her, but something tells you that it would only blow up in your face. Your thoughts stop as more water you were intending to take, floods your mouth and immediately hitting the back of your throat, causing you to choke. You quickly drop the bottle and turn around and cough out the water into the sink. Behind you, you could hear your brother laughing. He must of tipped the bottle while you were drinking and you were too lost in your thoughts to notice him enter the room.
"Holy shit, I didn't think I would actually get you!" He laughs louder.
You continue to cough, trying to catch your breath. Some of the water went down the wrong pipe and now your lungs are suffering. Still laughing, your brother comes up behind you and pats your back, trying to help you expel some of the water. You turn around and slap his arm off of you.
"What the actual fuck, Jisung?" You spit, finally catching your breath.
"D-dude, I thought you heard me. My bad," His laugh slowing down a bit, but he couldn't help chuckling.
You haven't seen Jisung all week despite living with him. After fighting with your best friend, you spent so much time on campus, at work, or locked away in your room. His work schedule would keep him busy but he usually would make it his mission to come harass you at least once a day. It was his right as your older brother. But since you hardly left your room while you were home and kept the door locked, he took advantage of you being dazed to mess with you. It wasn't weird for him to not see you for long periods of time. He knows that you get distracted easily when the two of you hang out so when you really need to buckle down for school, he would leave you alone.
"God, you need to grow the fuck up!" You yell. His face drop as the tears you were holding back roll down your face. Jisung was blissfully unaware that his harmless prank would push you past your breaking point. He brings his hand to your face to wipe your tears. You quickly push his hand away.
"Bro, what is your problem?" He asks a little annoyed. You sniffle as you wipe the back of your hand across you cheek and stopping off to your room, leaving Jisung confused in the kitchen.
***
You feel bad about blowing up at Jisung. You know he was just joking around like he usually does with you. How was he supposed to know that you were going through a crisis? You mentally add him to your now gowing people to make amends with. You bury your body further into your pillows and let out a choked sob, everything you've been holding in all week finally hitting you all at once.
It just dawned on you that your best friend is gone and that there was no way in hell you were ever going to get her back. Yow two have known each other since kindergarten, you were each other's day one. You know you're not completely to blame for the fights, that neither of you were blameless, but you can't help but feel guilty for all of it.
knock, knock
Your door creaks open as Jisung pokes his head into your room. His eyes land on your figure in your bed. He almost missed you at first thinking you were a pile of clothes. His heart aches knowing that you're in pain.
On some level, he knew something was up with you this week. Even when you were deep into your studies, there would at least be some sort of sign of life from you whether it was your freshly washed dishes in the top corner of the washing machine or musicly loudly coming from your room. But he wasn't even sure when you were home with how quiet you were. Anytime he went to go check on you, your door was locked, a habit you developed after you realized how often he went into your room to mess with your stuff when you weren't home.
He sits down quietly on your bed and puts a hand on your back, feeling the vibrations emanating from you as you sob into your pillow. He presses his lips together and tilts his head up to look at the ceiling. Ever since you two were kids, he would always get upset when you were upset and make it his personal mission to cheer you up. Sure, he would tease you all day, every day, but the second he knew he had taken it too far he would try to get you to smile. When it came to you, he took his role as the older sibling and the peace keeping sibling very seriously. Especially if your oldest brother was teasing you relentlessly.
"Hey, get dressed," He says softly, rubbing his hand across your back.
"Don't wanna," You mumble into your pillow.
"C'mon," He whines, dragging out the 'o.'
"Ji," You turn your head to face the wall, "I'm not in the mood to go out with you right now."
"Either you get up and get dressed or I drag your ass out of bed and drag you around everywhere by your ankle." He huffs.
You groan and get out of bed, grabbing some clothes as you head to the bathroom. You know he's not joking about the dragging you around part. He's done it before, several times actually.
***
You sit in front of the large fish tank and watch as the fish swim past you. Jisung's big plan was to take you to the aquarium and it was working. Walking through the various exhibits and watching all sorts of sea life float by, combined with the music that is currently blasting through your headphones, calmed you down significantly. The two of you were walking around for about two hours before Jisung left you alone in front of the largest tank, promising that he would be back.
Your focus is taken off of the tiger shark you were watching when an ice cream cone appears in front of your face. You take the ice cream and turn and give your brother a small smile. You pull off you headphones and turn your attention back to the tank.
You two sit in silence as you watch more fish swim by. You both were sitting crisscrossed right in front of the tank.
"I fucked everything up," You whisper, finally wanting to talk.
"Is the world still spinning?" He asks suddenly.
"What?" You laugh.
"Is the world world still spinning, yes or no?" He asks again, chuckling.
"Yeah,"
"Then you didn't fuck everything up." He says simply.
"My best friend dumped me. We had a major fight a few days ago and she blocked me on everything." You hold back your tears again, focusing on a sea lion that made it's way in front of you.
"That's her loss."
"I don't have any other friends. I'm all alone, Ji."
"I'll be your friend, your best friend even. You're the coolest person I know. And you're funny. And smart. And you know where mom hides the good snacks when we go home."
"I'm not going to be best friends with my brother like some loser. Especially you, we already live together." You groan.
"Hey! I'm sitting here trying to cheer you up and you're insulting me." He exaggerates.
"Sorry," You mumble, eating a bit of your ice cream.
"Look," Jisung elbows your side to get you to look at him, "I don't know what you did, but we all make mistakes. People come and go in your life sometimes. I know it's hard, but sometimes things like this happen to test the relationships in our lives. It hurts, I know, but you'll feel better over time. Until then, since you don't want to be my friend, I can be a stand-in for you when you need someone to bitch to."
"When...when did you get so smart? You used to eat dirt when we were little. Pretty sure you ate a worm one time."
"Oh, shut up and eat your fucking ice cream." He huffs. You can't help but crack a small smile.
"Ji?"
"Hmm?"
"Thanks for taking me out today. I really needed it."
"That's what I'm here for, getting on your last nerve and pulling you from doom spirals. Now, seriously, eat that ice cream. I paid good money for that." He knocks your hand, lightly shoving the ice cream in your face.
Shut Up and Love Me (Pablo Gavi)
Tumblr media
...
"NO PABLO! it's done i'm sick and tired of you. you're always a jealous mess and always trying to control me. i can't help it if men look my way. i've told you many fucking times i love you and only you. i don't know why you can't believe me!!" y/n yelled, tears streamed down her face.
"BUT-I I CLEARLY SAW HE WAS FLIRTING WITH YOU AND YOU LET HIM Y/N!! YOURE MY GIRLFRIEND NOT THEIRS. YOU LET THEM FLIRT WITH YOU" gavi said as he furrowed his eyebrows at her.
"look gavi it's done it's fucking over. grow the fuck up, talk to me when you're done being a jealous overprotective asshole" she told him and got out of his car.
_____
at the barça vs atlético madrid game
the game was just 1 month after y/n and gavi's breakup. she was a mess, her eyes were puffy and hair was all over the place. she had been living in one of gavi's hoodies and a pair of sweatpants. although she decided to support the team and she wasn't going to let gavi have the satisfaction.
she was a strong woman, there are plenty of men who could treat her better than he did. another reason was pedri. he truly was like an older brother to her, she wanted to go support him. although he had also gone to her house to basically drag her to go and to motivate her.
"vamos hermana, tú ni le hagas caso al tío. vas a venir por mi y para verme jugar" pedri smiled at her while moving her arms. (c'mon sister, don't even pay attention to him, you're going to come for me and watch me play)
"pedri i don't even have a jersey that doesn't have his name on the back" she rolled her eyes.
"i came prepared don't worry look at this" he smiled at her as he pulled out a barça jersey with pedri's name and number. he played around and moved his hands as he showed her the jersey.
"pedrito what am i going to do without you" she laughed and grabbed it from from his hands.
"probably rot in this room alone" pedri laughed.
"cállete tonto" she laughed and went to get ready. (shut up dumbass)
Tumblr media
"okay i'm ready pedrooooo!!!!" she yelled.
"i'm right here literally no need to yell y/n" he said playfully annoyed.
surprisingly y/n got ready on perfect timing since pedri had to be at camp nou like an hour before the game. on the ride there they listened to y/n's playlist which was filled with reggueton music. pedri liked to see her jam out and finally smile. after what happened with gavi, he felt like she lost herself.
best part by daniel caesar started playing. y/n's laugh died down and her smiled dropped. the clouds started to block the sun a bit, and it started to to drizzle outside.
"you got to be fucking kidding me" she sighed.
"what's wrong?" pedri looked at her.
"this is our song, fuck i hate him but at the same time i miss him so much" y/n said as her eyes got teary eyed.
*flashback*
'where you go i follow, no matter how far'
"are you sure? i really don't want you to leave just for me y/n" gavi said worried.
"mi amor i'll go to the end of the world with you" she replied.
she left mexico and moved to barcelona for him because she loved him. it took time for her to adjust to spain but it worked out somehow.
"not homesick yet mi vida?" the brown eyed boy asked.
"a little bit but you're my home pablo, i just need you by my side and i'll be perfectly fine. you make me feel at ease. all my worries go away when i'm with you" y/n looked up at him, he looked amazing in the golden sunlight.
*flashback over*
"i know he was the reason you moved here but you on your own accomplished many things. you finished university here and got a modeling job, your also making your own clothes" pedri cheered you up.
"yeah i just miss him, but you're right i'm a fucking badass without him" she smiled.
they pulled up to camp nou, they parked the car and went in. the stadium was starting to fill.
"bueno te veo después del partido nena ya sabes dónde ir" pedri said.(you know where to go, i'll see you after the game)
"si, suerte predrito anota muchos goles por mi" she laughed.
(yes, good luck pedrito score many goals for me)
pedri left and she went to the seats that were designated for the wives and family members of the team. there was a particular seat she sat in when she would come see gavi. although that seat was already taken, she was beautiful; she had short blonde hair and her make-up was flawless.
y/n sat down 3 seats away from her. as soon as she sat down the other girl notice her. her piercing green eyes looked into y/n brown eyes. they exchanged a friendly hi and hello.
once the game started y/n started cheering for pedri every time he had the ball or got near to scoring a goal. although something caugh her off guard when gavi scored a goal.
"eso mi amor !!!!!" the blonde girl yelled.
that's when she notice the blonde girl's jersey... 'gavi 6'.
gavi's pov
i knew i fucked up, messed up so bad. i got carried away with my overprotection. i need to learn how to control my anger and jealousy. i knew i fucked up, after the breakup i lost myself. i partied every chance i got, and over worked myself.
while clubbing, i met laura; she was there to somewhat relieve my pain. we started hooking up, drinking together, as well as going out. the thing was that i didn't love her as much as i loved y/n, i don't think i ever will love someone as her.
i really did want to get back with y/n but i dug a hole too deep with laura. now we're dating? but i know i'm using her as a rebound.
during the match i scored the first goal. i ran with my team to celebrate my goal and looked at the crowd. my eyes gazed through the designated area where the family members were. the spot where y/n always sat in was used by laura.
my smile left, she wasn't there. she was sitting down on her phone. not even paying attention to my goal. i want her back desperately bad.
he could see that joao felix got her attention. her gaze was strong and alluring. she looked at him as he fixed his sweaty hair and drank water during half time.
that's what sparked his jealousy once again. joao felix had the ball and i ran up to him as fast as i could and pushed him down. maybe i should control my anger issues? or not.
___
the game ended 3-1, gavi and pedri scored goals. they finally let the wife's and family come down to the field. gavi was a sweaty mess, it could've been because of the game or the jealousy that made his blood boil. pedri saw y/n coming down and approaching him.
"hermanitoo!! you did so good pedri that goal was majestic bro" she laughed then him.
"i know right!! i was kind of nervous for today's game though, i think it was because of your guys' breakup. although good thing it didn't affect my relationship with him in the field" pedri smiled.
"aye pero me presentas al joao no? se cae de bueno el tio ese " y/n playfully told pedri as she wiggled her eyebrows and looked at joao who was behind pedri.
 (introduce me to joao he's so hot)
"bueno vamos loca, ey pero si viste como te mataba con la mirada gavi cuando mirabas al otro tio?" he asked her.
 (okay fine crazy, he could've killed you with the way he was looking at you)
"siiii pero me hice la tonta y no vi a gavi, bueno ya presentame con joao andale pedriii. se me cupido porfa!!" y/n tugged on pedri's shoulder.
(yess, but i ignored him, cmon introduce me to joao cmon pedri. be my cupid please)
he laughed and ruffled her hair, although he did agree. pedri came up to joao felix and introduced y/n to him. y/n thought he was attractive, he did as well. he loved her smile and laugh. pedri left, joao and y/n were still talking and it seemed like they really did hit it off. although y/n felt someone staring at her. she noticed his figure standing by, his eyebrows were furrowed and a disgusted look was evident.
"he hates me doesn't he?" joao asked her and she shook her head.
"it's just because you're talking to me, he's the ex-boyfriend at the moment"
"aaaa makes more sense, it looks like he's still very into you. are ya'll gonna get back together?"
y/n sighed and looked at gavi, who was now trying to look interested in whatever laura was saying.
"maybe i don't know yet"
"well i'm here if you want to hang out or something as friends...until you make up your mind" he smiled at her.
they exchanged numbers and y/n left with pedri to dinner since he invited her. after dinner, pedri brought her back to her house. she took of her boots, skirt and pedri's jersey. she changed into some black biker shorts and a spain jersey. she proceeded to do her night time routine, taking of her makeup, washing her face, as well as taking off the clips in her hair.
*ding* text message
nene <3 : we need to talk.
y/n: pablo not now
nene <3 : too late i'm outside your house, please y/n just 5 minutes please mi amor
y/n: don't call me that pablo. i'm coming.
y/n looked at the messages, she looked at his contact name. nene, she didn't even change his contact name. she wanted to go outside and run into his arms, she wanted to hug him so tight that he'd run out of air. she missed him so dearly it was unreal. but no she had to be strong. there he was leaning on his car, he opened the door for her. she rolled her eyes but got in.
"go you have five minutes" she looked ahead, not even looking at him. if she did she would definitely tear down her walls.
"I know that i'm a jealous jerk y/n and i feel ashamed of it. all i wanted to do was to protect you, but i know that with my jealousy i overreacted and got ahead of things. i am truly sorry, you have no idea how much i regret having that argument with you. i miss you y/n, every night, every morning, every single day; i miss you. i know that i'm not worthy of your love, and if you don't want to take me back it's ok with me. you deserve someone way better than me, and who will treat you better" gavi said with tears in his eyes.
"what about laura?" she said.
"i broke up with her after the game, i was honest with her. she's someone i met while we were broken up. but i just want you y/n nobody else" he said
she finally got the courage to look him in the eyes. god she missed his chocolate brown eyes, they were puffy and red from crying. she looked at him and his beautiful complexion.
"promise?" she asked him with a smile.
"i promise, i'm done being a being a jealous overprotective asshole as you said" he laughed.
"c'mon let's go inside and cuddle" she said then gave him a desperate kiss.
"me gusta tu camisa" he laughed, she was wearing the jersey he wore in the world cup.
(i like your shirt)
she smiled at him "callate tonto, mejor dame un besito".
 (shut up dumbass and give me a kiss)
they spent their night cuddling and y/n making gavi do a face mask. gavi missed her like crazy, he held her tight and very close to his chest. her scent was sweet, he missed kissing her neck and playing with her hair. y/n traced small shapes on his naked chest, he always slept without a shirt; due to him getting hot when he sleeps. she loved his hands, so firm yet delicate at times. she played with his rings, and looked up at him. he was peaceful, his brown wavy hair fluffed up and swooped to the side, his eyes gleamed.
"le mandamos una foto a pedri???" she asked him and he nodded.
(should we send pedri a picture?)
text messages
y/n: mira quien regresoooo (look who's back)
Tumblr media
hermanito: esoooo mis padres!!!!! (my parents !!!)
they both smiled and laughed at pedri, both of them were glad that they fixed their problem. she knew it would have been awkward if they had broken up indefinitely. they didn't want to put pedri in the middle. the couple slept peacefully in eachothers arms and finally got a good rest. both intoxicated with love and their scents.
Afterlife (Neteyam x Human Turned Na'vi Female Reader)
Requested:
"Can I please request some angst between Neteyam x human! reader, I actually based this on a song called Glimpse of Us by Joji. So one night they were watching a movie and (y/n) was thrilled to see two people dancing and she really wanted to experience it. Neteyam without thinking, he invited to dance with her even though he doesn’t know how to. They copied what they saw on the screen and danced in sync. Both of them actually liked each other but were afraid that their friendship might end. After Neteyam’s family fled to the metkayina clan, (Y/n) gets teased a lot by the Na’vi in that tribe because of being human. Neteyam is very protective of her, he cheered her up by inviting her to dance again at the beach when they were alone. He would blush when he sees her smile. Could you please end it in an angsty way? perhaps (y/n) was trying to save Kiri and got shot by one of Quaritch’s soldiers. Neteyam found her lifeless body on the ship, he never felt so devastated to see her dead. What is sadder is when Neteyam was dying, all the memories with (y/n) plays in his head. With (y/n)’s body near him, he tries to hold her hand one last time before passing away."
So.... yeah, I thought, since you wrote down all of what happen, let's just go with the afterlife... if it's alright with you... Please don't hate me if not 😚😢
Note: Just a tiny bit of spoilers for the second movie, because... well, be aware since... you know... Neteyam is... I CAN'T EVEN SAY IT 😭😭. I'm not over it!!!
Another Note: Didn't really like how I wrote it... and it's pretty short
Masterlist (requests are currently open for now)
Tumblr media
"Neteyam."
Neteyam opened his eyes with a soft gasp. He frowned and sat up, the water dripping from his back. He looked around the empty small Island that he was on, a small pool of water in the middle where he was sitting on.
Neteyam looked up and around, the sky was glowing blue, and the area... it reminded him of the forest.
His home.
"I want to go home."
He remembered his words to his father, not long before he blocked out.
He remembered the pain he felt.
The bullet that hit him.
He frowned as he looked at his body. There was no sign of a bullet hole.
Neteyam stood up and looked around again. Where were his parents? His siblings?
"They not here." Neteyam turned when he heard a familiar voice but met a Na'vi he didn't met before. "Your family is fine."
Neteyam looked at her cautiously, "Y/N?"
You laughed softly, and nodded a little, "I think Eywa decided that if I wasn't born as a Na'vi and born as a human... she will turn me into what I wanted at the after life."
"You're here," he breathed out.
You stepped closer and held out your hand. He didn't waste time and grabbed it, looking at your hand in his. Your hand was still small but not as much when you were in your human form.
"Is that how you Sky People dance?" Neteyam asked. The two of you were sitting on chairs inside Norm's lab, just the two of you in the evening, watching an old movie from Earth.
In one scene the couple in the movie started to dance. "Yes," you said, "Uncle Jake told you about dancing, right?"
"Dad mentioned some stuff," he muttered next to you.
"Well, Uncle Norm danced with me a few times over the years, after he showed me some movies," you admitted, "Even Kiri danced with me."
Neteyam looked from the screen to you with a small smirk, "Do you want to dance with me?"
You blushed and scoffed as you looked back at the movie, "No, of course not."
Neteyam hummed still smirking as if he knew you were lying. You didn't dare to look at him and just continued to watch the movie. The thought of Neteyam dancing with you made you continue to blush which annoyed you.
Only Kiri and Tuk knew of your crush on their older brother, and no matter how much you tried to deny it, they didn't fell for it. You never thought Neteyam felt something to you more than a best friend or even like a little sister, so you always buried your feelings for him deep inside your heart.
It wasn't like something could happen between you two, you were a human girl, he was a Na'vi.
It wasn't like Jake and his wife Neytiri.
Your sad thoughts were cut off when you heard movements at your side and you looked at Neteyam in surprise as he held out his hand for you to take.
"I never done it before, so go easy on me," he said with a smirk.
You hesitated but took his hand and stood up. You looked up at him in amusement as you started to teach him to dance.
Neteyam smiled softly at the memory and looked at you. His smile disappeared and his guilt flickered to his eyes. It was his fault you died...
Like you read his thought, you stepped closer and placed your hand on his cheek, caressing it, "It's not your fault," you said softly, "I wanted to be there to help save your family."
"Yet it cased you your life," he said softly.
"And yours," you muttered, "You always careful, yet it happened to you."
"I always thought I won't be able to live on without you... I guess that was true," he said.
You tilted your head, "Neteyam--"
"I love you," he confessed and placed his forehead against yours, closing his eyes, "I should have told you that before. When I saw you there, lying dead on the floor... my entire world collapse. The thought of never seen you again--"
"I love you too," you confessed softly and he opened his eyes. "But because that I love you, I hoped you would survive the war and one day find someone--"
"There wouldn't have been anyone else but you," he muttered. You gave him a small sad smile, feeling the same. Neteyam looked at your lips, and you did the same.
Neteyam placed his hands on your cheeks and tilted his head, pressing his lips against yours. You closed your eyes, kissing him back passionately.
Breaking the kiss after a long moment, you both panted, breathing each other in. "I love you," you breathed out.
"I love you too," he said and gave you a soft smile, which you couldn't help but return one.
You and Neteyam didn't survive the war to be together... but Eywa watching over you two, you both could be together at the afterlife.
I just read hyuga's kind sister headcanon and she was super sweet, you said she would be a really good brother and at the end you said that the sword leaders wouldn't know her, what would it be like if the other sword leaders came out with hyuga's sister without knowing that he was hyuga's sister and finally your writings are so sweet and beautiful while always reading I'm smiling
SWORD Leaders Unknowingly Dating Hyuga's Sister & Them Finding Out
Notes: Omg... I feel like this would be so chaotic lol. I guess this can kind of be like a part 2 to Hyuga w/ a Gentle Sister. I really enjoyed writing this one! Hope you enjoy!
⋈ *. : 。✿ * ゚ * .: 。 ✿ * ゚ * . : 。 ✿ * ⋈
Cobra
You guys met on the street when a thief runs by you and steals your bag. Cobra was headed the opposite way so he was able to catch the thief as he was trying to run away. To pay him back, you decide to treat him to dinner.
For dates, you two like to go out to different places. Ex. amusement parks, zoos, etc. He definitely shows you a sweet and caring side that not many others get to see.
You hang out a lot at Itokan and his home. He finds it weird that he has never been over to your place but does not question it. You tell him that your family is a bit too overprotective.
To not let him know who you are, you let him drop you off a couple of blocks away from your home. You always try to get him to leave even though he wants to walk you in. You end up convincing him with kisses.
One night when he is dropping you off, you get off his motorcycle and lean over to kiss him goodnight. Before the kiss gets any more heated, you hear your name being called and it's your brother. That's how they find out about each other.
Rocky
You guys meet at Heaven. Your friends invited you and you decided to go to get out of your comfort zone (Hyuga obviously did not know). When a guy keeps harassing you, Rocky is the one to save you. You leave with him saying he hopes that small issue won't stop you from coming back.
When he takes you on dates, they are super romantic. Like candle lit dinners and at night walks at the beach.
You guys spend a lot of time together at the club but just the two of you. He likes to hear you talk about your day and your plans for the future. You usually lay your head on his lap and he loves to just look at you.
The gentleman that he is, he always wants to drop you right in front of your house, so you make him belive that you live in one of your friend's house that lives near you. Once you wait to see he's gone, then you walk to your home.
He finds out that Hyuga is your brother when you're going out for dinner one night and then somehow you bump into Ukyo and Sakyo. Trying to get them to keep walking, they reveal who you really are.
Murayama
You two met at a food stand. You were out with a friend and you saw him for the first time and thought he was cute. After seeing him a couple more times, your friend pushed you to ask him out on a date, which much to your surprise, he accepted.
For dates, Murayama is like a teen to a certain extent. Yall do crazy and fun things like arcade, karaoke, go bowling.
Yall know this man is CRAZY for you. I genuinely see you spending a lot of your free time with him on the roof of Oya High. He probably loves to place his head on your lap and sleep there.
Murayama is not one to talk much about his family so he does not find it suspicious when you decide to do the same. He knows that we all have our own issues.
Murayama finds out your Hyuga's sister by accident. He knows you had an older brother, but when your phone rings and a picture of your brother shows up, Murayama is shocked to say the least.
Smoky
Something about Nameless City always fascinated you, so one day you decide to go check it out. As you wander in you get caught by some Rude Boys and they take you to Smoky. Due to your gentle and caring personality, you share how you want to help the citizens.
Honestly, I dont think there would be much going out on dates, but just going around Nameless City and seeing what people need help and tending to them.
You really admire Smoky for taking the step up and fighting for the Nameless City and it's citizens. It always makes you fall in love with him even more when you see how passionate he is about his family.
Smoky sees how much you've helped and grown to care for the citizens of Nameless City, and how they have started to see you as one of their own. He can't help but care for you even more.
He finds out your related to Hyuga because you tell him. One night you realize that you didnt want to lie to him anymore and you just burst it out to him.
Hyuga
Let's be honest... I don't think Hyuga would have MAJOR issues with you dating the other SWORD leaders. Well... maybe one, *cough* Murayama *cough*.
l feel like secretly, Hyuga really respects Cobra and knows that he won't do anything to purposely hurt you. I don't think he would push much into your relationship, but Hyuga has definitely given the big brother speech to him, "You know I don't like you much, so if you ever hurt her, prepare yourself."
Besides himself, I think that Hyuga knows you'll be the safest with Rocky. Hyuga definitely does not want you in the club scene, but respects your wished when you do go. If there's one thing Hyuga is worried about, is Rocky corrupting you in other ways *wink wink*. He will probably tell Rocky, "Be good to her. She deserves the world."
Oh the trouble maker Murayama. Yeah, Hyuga may have slight issues with this one. He does not want Murayama to corrupt you since Hyuga knows how crazy he can be. He probably tries so hard to convince you to break up with him. He probably says to Murayama, "I don't know what she sees in you. If she ever comes crying, be ready to die."
Hyuga knows that Smoky is harmless when it comes to romance, so he probably would not mind you dating him. However, he will probably just be upset that you decided to keep it a secret from him. Probably all begrudgingly he said to Smoky, "Take care of her. If not, you'll regret it."
Becoming Izana's unwilling girlfriend
Tumblr media
TW: Yandere, Blackmail, Intimidation, Power Imbalance
Tumblr media
You first met Izana when you visit your older brother in Juvie. The reason is that he got caught entering someone’s house with an intent of robbing it
You can’t blame him really, your family has been struggling with money ever since an accident; where your father died due to a car hitting him on the road, making your mother a single parent; trying to juggle both her family and her new job at a marketing firm
Even though her job pays well, it wasn’t enough for the three of you to live by; and often you and your brother go on throughout the day without eating anything or not taking the train to school
Your older brother, wanting to help your mother, got a part-time job at a local Dagashiya in your neighborhood. Although it helped, it's still not enough for the rest of you to live like you used to.
Slowly but surely, you saw your older brother being discontent in life - him being much more moody and often get into fights in school. You know that one day, he would join a wrong crowd and eventually join a gang
You tried to warn your mother about his behavior, but she just shrugged it off, saying that he was just blowing some steam and would come back to his senses later on
As you’ve expected, he did not, and eventually joined a gang. You then ask one of your classmates, who has some knowledge about the gangs in Yokohama, about a gang that wore a red uniform and a strange symbol that you saw your brother wearing when he sneaked out of your home at midnight.
Your classmate’s eyes widened as he recognized the symbol that you drew and explained what gang has that symbol, your hands trembled as he further explained the information he knew about that gang
Your hands trembled in fear as he delved into the more heinous acts that the gang your brother has joined in, robbery, assault, drug trafficking. The list goes on. You couldn’t take it anymore and quickly told him to stop, not wanting to hear those terrible things anymore.
Terrible thoughts filled your mind as you wait for the school to end, wanting to head home as fast as possible, skipping your club meeting just so that you could confront him, and persuade him to quitting that gang
After you came home, you then wait for him to come back home in the living room, not bothering to change your clothes or even cook dinner, determined to catch him.
As the hours passed and the clock indicating that its midnight, he was still nowhere to be seen
Just as when you were about to give up and go upstairs, you suddenly heard the telephone ringing
You quickly pick up the phone and talk to the person who’s calling your house. To your surprise, it was a government worker that phoned you. Your eyes winded in shock as he explained to you the purpose of why he’s calling your house right now
Apparently, your brother got sent into juvie due to robbery and would be held in there for the next three years
Your mother, to her distraught, distracts herself by focusing more on her work, refusing to believe that her sweet son has turned into a delinquent gangster. She even refused to visit him in juvie due to how deep in denial she is of the situation
So here you are right now, visiting your brother in juvie, talking to him and gifting him the home made bento you make
To your surprise, your brother, who has been cold ever since your father died - broke down in front of you
You console him even without touching him due to the clear glass blocking the two of you from physically interacting with each other
The two of you started to communicate, and eventually reconcile with each other
Ever since then, your relationship with your brother has improved, to the point that it's just like before the accident
As you frequently visit your brother in juvie, you also noticed another change in his behavior. He started to become scared as you handed him your usual bento and even refused to open it for some reason
That makes you suspicious since our brother has always looked forward to your bento, and even giving empty bento boxes after he’s done eating its contents
One day when you are on your usual visit in juvie, your brother suddenly looked at you in the eye, requesting you to not to make a bento that addressed to him and instead naming it to Kurokawa Izana
Your eyes winded, recognizing that name. It's the name of the leader of the gang your brother is in
Knowing the danger your brother is in, you silently nodded in his request and making a mental note of it
And on your next visit, instead of meeting your brother, you’ve arrived and faced someone who’s very unfamiliar to you, but knew his name. To your surprise, he isn’t some gigantic bulky person who you’ve expected a gang leader to be - but instead; you faced a lean and muscular person
He also has a remarkable appearance, light brown skin with silky white hair and striking purple eyes. You are fairly sure that if he isn’t in a gang, he could be scouted as a model or even a male idol
You strike a conversation with him, even though you are intimidated due to the fact that he is a dangerous person
But to your surprise, your first visit to him ends in a normal tone, as if you are just visiting an acquaintance
Weeks passed by as now not only that you visit your brother in juvie but also Izana as well
It was mildly bewildering when the two of you started to be close with each other; you being a normal middle school student, and him being the leader of the biggest gang in Yokohama
You now consider him as a friend, although you are still wary of him due to his occupation
As you started to get to know him further, you noticed that he started to act differently to you; him being much more flirtatious and bold every time you visit him. But you just brushed it off, thinking that he is opening up to you
But you should’ve noticed it as a red flag as he started to get much more confrontational and possessive to you, being irrationally angry if you speak to someone other than him, even your brother or mother
It caused you to be scared but at the same time being angry at him, why is he acting like that? His attitude makes little sense
The two of you argued so often that eventually you stopped visiting him in juvie
Big Mistake
When you visit your brother again in juvie, you quickly notice painful bruises everywhere covering his body. From his face, his arm or torso, it made you sick on just how he wince in pain every time he accidentally press his arm or stomach
After your visit to your brother, you then hastily visit Izana, pleading to him to not hurt your brother any longer. You’ll do anything that he asks, as long as he leave your brother alone
When you utter those words, he gave you a bone chilling smile, as if you’ve fallen into a trap
“Hmmm, anything you say? Well, (Y/N), be my girlfriend then”
You froze in place at that moment, when he said those words, shocked at his request, but you quickly accepted his offer
Ever since then, you’ve officially become Izana’s girlfriend
Predictably, your brother isn’t beat up anymore and even treated better than before, but you are now subjugated by Izana’s possessive behavior
Him prodding you every single detail about your whole week as you attend your daily visits to him and your brother, forcing you to do actions that a girlfriend would do such as over intricate Bento’s, exchange of romantic words and you kissing the glass that separates you to him, as if giving him kisses on either his lips or cheeks
The only escape to him is that he is in juvie, which is a relief for you since you have days that you aren’t forced to act into something you don’t like
But those days are blissfully fast since Izana has been let out in juvie, which you only find out when you find him waiting for you outside of your school in his motorbike
Since then, everything is now different for you but not for the better. When the whole school finds out that you became Izana’s girlfriend, you have been avoided by your classmates and even teachers like a plague. You, getting distant from your friends, which eventually became scared of you, just like the others, making you rely on Izana much more, to the point that he is the only one, except your brother and your mother that you’ve talked to for a while
The delinquents in your school have also started to praise the floor that you walked to. Obviously, you have to be extraordinary to become Izana’s girlfriend since many women tried to become one, but they are either ignored or quickly turned down by him. So when you walked down to your school, they immediately walk to with you like bodyguards and clear the path so that you could walk to your destination without someone blocking your path
Izana, as possessive and obsessive as he is, didn’t raise his hand to you like you would expect him to do. Instead-he treated you like a gentleman. Going into frequent dates, giving you gifts that you know are from high-end stores and even out right giving you money
You accepted it all, afraid of the consequences if you didn’t. Although it helped your family greatly, it still made you uncomfortable on just how you procure it. You knew where his money came from and felt guilty of accepting it and the gifts that he’s been giving to you
Izana swings his arm into your shoulder as the two of you are watching the boxing match in front of you. The two of you are seated in a padded chair while the rest are sitting on the available surface or just standing to watch. He lightly giggled as one of the men falls through the hard pavement while you just winced on just how painful it looks. Although you have been joining Izana on seeing illegal street fighting for months now, you still aren’t used to seeing blood and broken bones being displayed in front of you. You’ve suspected that Izana made you watch these fights with him because you’ve always been clinging to his chest every time you are scared or shocked, which you always did.
As the fight then continues on, Izana gently grab you, making you lean on his chest as the two of you kept watching the fight
 “Hey (Y/N)”
You looked up at Izana, wondering what he wants right now
“After this, can you make Katsudon for dinner? I’m craving for one”
You nod at his request and reluctantly go back to watching the fight in front of you. It's a common occurrence. Ever since you became a couple, you always cook for him because he refuses the food if you did not cook it. To the point that you aren’t living in your house anymore and instead live in his apartment with another person named Kakucho. Even though he is his underling, he is the one that you could only interact without you being nervous. Unlike his peers, he is actually very polite and respectful and can keep his distance as he needs to be. So you are alright with him, the rest, not so much. They are what you expected a gang member to act, apathetic, cruel and sadistic. So you only interact with them on a surface level, being polite as you need to be.
While the fight continues on, Izana grips tightly to your shoulder and further pressed you closer to his chest, keeping you closer him. You sigh at his behavior but just focus on the next match, trying to distract yourself, not only to your current situation, but your life in general. You, being a girlfriend to a gang leader that would certainly be a mob boss in the future, and him isolating you to anyone other than himself and the people he approves of and a looming threat dangling in your back if you did something out of line. Although this could be much worse- you are now basically trapped with Izana, without you saying anything to the matter, becoming his pliant girlfriend, just as he wants you to be.
Hidden away - Týr x plus size reader
Summary: Whilst searching for a suitable breakfast you happen to come across the old god of war and justice hidden away.
Comments and reblogs are much appreciated and help more people read my works.
Tumblr media
A/N: This gif does not match with the story but there isn't many God of War Ragnarök gifs out there (understandable because the game just came out) and for some reason I don't like using still images. ALSO I haven't finished the game (someone has already spoiled it for me which is annoying) so don't spoil even more for me or anyone else thank you. I'm already thinking of a part two if people want it.
“Sindri!” you grumble as you finally come out your cocoon that is you little bedroom.
You’ve hastily put on a blue overdress, the same one you were wearing all day yesterday, with a fresh long sleeved underdress on of course. The big golden broaches that hold up the straps of the dress, one made by each of your brothers (you were adopted well after they were born but they still insist you are apart of their family) with the Huldra symbol moulded into each of the shiny metal rounds are the only clean part of your outfit, your dress covered in powdered paint and glue now dried clear.
Need to say you really need to give your dress a good scrub.
Bare feet hit the shallow steps that were really made only for your brother’s short stature lead down to the open planed ground floor, your bones clicking as you smooth down your clothes over your curves, not bothering to do your hair quite yet.
“Sindri!” you call again this time a bit louder as you head to the kitchen area.
The last you saw of your bother he had quickly popped into your bedroom, which is also your workroom where you paint your murals. He had excuse himself for he was going to go help young Atreus and his father. He said something about Tyr and Brok but really half of it went in one ear and out the other for you were painting and not paying attention to your non blue brother.
You lazily look around for some food to eat whilst also seeing who’s around, Sindri did say he’d be back with Brok, Atreus and Kronos but the tree house is awfully quiet without the bickering of your dwarven brothers along with the clinking of metal tools.
For a moment you stop and look around, you debate calling out again but you don’t.
Instead you find an apple to eat, a bruised one but an apple all the same. You don’t want to be cooking, it’s too early and you’re not the best at it (seem it runs in the family), so you take a big bite out the red and yellow fruit frowning at the chalky texture.
“Where are the porridge oats?” you wonder out loud as you rummage around for the food.
Porridge may not be the first or second thing you’d want to eat in the morning for its awfully bland on its own (and you still want to do as little as possible because you’re tired and in need to finish your painting) but you search for it anyway.
Mediocre apple half eaten you wonder over to the doors leading to what you assume is a pantry, well you thought it was.
You see this isn’t your home, well it is now that the end of times is coming but you didn’t live here before fimblewinter.
Before you lived out in a remote cabin in the middle of the woods living off the land and painting your artwork in peace. Now you cramped in your brother’s spare room for he insisted you move in with him when a group of raiders attacked you home.
“Brok?” you call out. Brok always shouts at you back, he’s your older brother and he loves you but he finds you and your shouting annoying. Sindri would say that you’re just as bad as each other with all the shouting and swearing, two peas in a pod but Brok insists you aren't.
You hear no shouting of your blue brother so you push open the door of what you think is a pantry the thing only open just a bit enough to squish you plush body through. It takes another budge from your shoulder to push the door inwards more, the something that once blocked the door moving away.
Either you’ve become very strong or whatever was blocking the door walked itself backwards.
“What the?” you whisper to yourself as you peak down around the door not see a random box or a weapon that Brok has left around, no, you see a big foot.
Eyes gone wide you slowly look up to see a man, a giant man, a man you have never seen in your entire life before waking up from his make sift bed in the small storage room.
Long dark hair drapes over his face that’s very sleepy looking, his glowing eyes barley open with little bits of sleepy in the corners as he peers up to you.
You want to act on instinct, grab the nearest blunt heavy object and throw it at him followed by running away but his eyes pool with confusion like a animal who has encountered a lost human in the middle of the woods only to run away themselves.
You assume you’ve just woke him up by barging in, his foot obviously being the object you though you moved to open the door just a bit.
You hope you haven’t hurt him in anyway.
“Who are you?” you ask in a stern but quiet voice, not wanting to scare away the giant man who now sits up from his slump.
“I could ask the same thing.” his voice makes you shiver, a warmth travels up your neck.
“I live here thank you very much.”
Already your eyes look the man up and down, his height sitting up taller than your brothers at full height, he must be a giant or part giant you think. The only part giant you’ve met is Atreus and well, Thor as well but you do not like to talk about that.
“Are you a giant?” you ask as you step a bit closer, your body now over the door frame, you now fully into the small room.
“Giant, do you mean Jötnar?” his voice, though laced with a sleepy croak one has when you’ve just awoken, sounds almost playful but also wise.
“I’m sorry, Jötnar, I’ve been around Brok and Sindri too long to remember the proper names for everything-“ you’re babbling but you do so to justify you slip up of calling him a giant, “I’m a human but technically I’m a Midgardian, I do not mean any offence.”
“I don’t take any-“ he talks with his hands, he moves them in a certain motion urging you to give him your name.
“(Y/n). Sister of Brok and Sindri.”
Holding out your hand and despite him sitting down he easily returns the greeting. His large hand wraps around your forearm, his digits squishing your soft skin lightly, his touch light as a feather like he doesn’t want to hurt anyone. You wrap your own hand around his forearm, your own fingers aching as they stretch around the wide width of his arm.
He goes to part from your greeting but you grip on his arm pulling on it like you intend to pull him up off the floor. You know you can’t, you’re not that strong, but it’s a kind gesture to say 'here, I can help you up' to the tall man.
When you were little and smaller than your brothers you’d try pulling them up despite not being able too, they’d get up just fine but they were always thankful for the so called ‘help’. Maybe it’s a childish thing to do, especially to a stranger, but the part Jötnar man looks so tired, so in himself like he doesn’t know who he is.
He pulls himself up just fine, your hand still lingering on his arm. He does not mind, he actually likes the feeling.
“Sister?” he asks.
“Adopted.” You say back with a smile.
“Ah. I see.” He looks down at you with his glowing eyes, not a bad emotion crossing his eyes as he looks at you, “I’m Tyr by the way.”
You mind runs wild.
Atreus and Kronos succeeded in freeing him!
“Well Tyr, would you like some breakfast-“ you raise you other hand that still hold the half eaten apple, “- I was looking for something more substantial to eat than this apple.”
“I would be grateful for one, I-I haven’t had a good breakfast in quite a while.”
Words: 12.316
Hannah adjusted the strap of her luggage bag over her shoulder. She looked at the façade of the building with a certain nostalgia. It had been a long time since she last saw her little brother Connor. She had really missed him. But finally, she was able to find free time to visit him.
Connor lived in Kingston Upon Hull, in the UK. The hometown of Hannah and her siblings. The four brothers were born there, but when the twins were two years old, the Clayton family moved to their mother Monika's hometown, in Zermatt. They all grew up there, with a happy childhood, full of craziness and mischief. When they all became adults, each brother took a different path, Hannah and Nathan (the older siblings) stayed in Zermatt to start their business together, a garage where they repair and restore cars. Elizabeth went to Germany to study psychology and live with her uncles. And Connor, returned to Hull to earn a living and fly away from the nest. He got a job at a car dealership, he wasn't as good a mechanic as Hannah or Nathan but he knew about cars and he knew how to sell them.
Hannah approached the entrance to the apartment block and pressed the intercom button that corresponded to her brother's apartment. The door opened with a shrill sound. Hannah opened the door and just as she walked in another woman did.
"Oh sorry." Hannah excused herself, holding the door open so the girl could enter.
"Thank you"
She had to look at her twice. Hannah could see that this woman was incredibly beautiful. That woman exuded sensuality and confidence when she walked. Hannah had to force herself not to gawk for too long.
The young woman looked at her too, but not with as much adoration as Hannah did. Maybe it was because of the scars. Yes, it was always because of the scars, they scared anyone.
Hannah closed the door and walked towards the elevator. The woman was walking in front of her, probably towards the elevator too, swaying her hips from side to side. Hannah had to force herself not to look down.
You are no better than any man, Hannah Clayton…
The elevator arrived and they both got in. Hannah cursed when she saw the girl press the button corresponding to the floor Hannah had to go to.
This is going to be uncomfortable...
The wait seemed eternal, the elevator was also old and it seemed like it wanted to laugh at Hannah going slower than usual. The elevator was also small, Hannah was much bigger than the girl, and took up almost all the space. She had to press her back against the wall and leave the bag between her boots to take up as little space as possible. The woman was in front of her, she sighed and brushed her hair to the side, an aroma of sweet perfume crossed her nose. It was nice, very nice. Hannah probably reeked of sweat. She was returning from a long mission with the 141, it had been a very long trip and it was the end of summer. She wanted to take a shower as soon as she set foot in Connor's apartment.
Finally, the doors opened. The woman was the first to come out, and then Hannah.
Hannah reached the door that corresponded to her brother's apartment. She pressed the bell a couple of times. The woman stopped at the next door, and without looking at her for a moment, she took out her keys and entered her house.
Hannah was staring at the door to the woman's apartment when the door in front of her opened.
"Here you are!" Connor's voice brought her out of her thoughts.
Hannah turned to look at her brother and smiled. The two melted in a warm embrace, patting each other's backs and ruffling each other's hair.
"Did you miss me that much?" Hannah joked.
"Not in your wildest dreams," Connor responded, laughing. "Come in. The trip must have been long, right?"
"You wouldn't even imagine..." Hannah sighed as she entered her brother's apartment.
_________
Hannah played with the little that remained of the beer at the bottom of the jar, shaking the mug slightly, watching as the amber liquid spun around, creating a small whirlpool.
She sighed and raised her head. Where the fuck was Connor? He had promised to spend a good night in the pub together, drinking and catching up on what had happened these last few months, telling stories and laughing until she fell out of her chair. It had been like that from the beginning but after a couple of hours Connor excused himself to go to the bathroom. More than fifteen minutes had passed and he hadn’t returned.
The pub had a lively atmosphere, there were people dancing where the tables didn't get in the way, there was live music, a happy band playing almost folk music. People laughed, patted each other on the back, told dark humor jokes, talked about deep conversations or simply drowned their sorrows with a good scotch.
But there she was. Starting to get bored, thinking about getting up and going to find her little brother. Finally she had enough, and with a grunt she finished the beer in one gulp. She slammed the jug on the table perhaps with too much force, luckily it didn't break. She stood up, almost knocking the chair to the floor. She walked among the people, her large and imposing figure helped a little, people moved aside as she passed, looking at her with curiosity, or even horror. The scars, they were always the scars... but she was already used to them, those marks had already been part of her for more than a couple of years, she had accepted them. So she ignored the people and walked with her chin up.
She approached the bar to ask the barlady about her brother but when she arrived she realized that said barlady was at the other end of the bar, with both elbows resting on the wood, with a silly smile listening to Connor's stories. Hannah couldn't believe it, she left her brother alone for five minutes and he had already found a girl to flirt with. She just hoped that if Connor was successful, it would be better if he fucked her in a hotel and not at home. Hannah had had a very long trip, after a very long mission, and the last thing she wanted was to not be able to sleep because of the fucking banging on the wall and the moaning of a one-night stand that wasn't even for her.
Hannah whistled trying to get her brother's attention. Connor, who now seemed to be very focused watching how the girl read the future in the palm of his hand, raised his head when he recognized his sister's peculiar whistle. Hannah always whistled, to get someone's attention, when she was happy, or just to annoy. They don't call her Sparrow for nothing.
When Connor found his sister among the people, he showed a pitiful smile, wanting to apologize with his eyes. But Hannah only showed a look without any kind of grace. Signifying that she wasn’t happy. Connor shrugged and winked at Hannah. She rolled her eyes and gave the middle finger. Connor responded by motioning that they would talk later but Hannah didn't believe him. So she turned around and walked towards the table where she had previously been sitting. She grabbed her jacket, an old black leather race jacket with a couple of old patches, and her helmet. And she went out into the street.
The cold night air felt like a reward. Hannah took a deep breath as she put on her jacket. Outside everything was calmer, there were a couple of people smoking and talking in a low tone. Few people were walking on the street. It was already very late at night.
She took out her cell phone and started texting Connor.
Hannah (01:24 am): I'm going home, I'm taking my motorcycle.
Connor (01:24 am): Come on Han! You're not going to leave me lying here, are you?
Hannah (01:25 am): call a taxi. Suffer the consequences of leaving your sister for a one night stand.
Connor (01:25 am): She is pretty right? I already have her in love.
Hannah (01:25 am): Whatever you say... I'm going home. If I hear a single moan tonight I swear I'll lock you on the balcony.
Connor (01:26 am): You love me too much to do that sis ;)
Hannah (01:26 am): Not enough.
She locked the phone and put it in the pocket of her pants. She began to walk in search of her prized motorcycle. She had only had one beer all night, she felt fine, with all her senses alert. Although maybe she would wait a little before driving. Just in case. Even so, the walk would go well. She had to park some distance from the pub. It was horrible to park in big cities, Hannah hated driving in big cities, too many people, too many cars, too many rules.
She kept both hands in the pockets of her jacket, she walked in silence, only listening to the sound of her boots when she walked. Enjoying the night, and the silence. She was too used to noise, to the big engines of military trucks constantly roaring, to the noisy blades of helicopters, to gunshots and explosions. So sometimes when everything was quiet it could be overwhelming, but that time it wasn't, she enjoyed the noises of the night, the crickets and the distant cars.
Finally she could see her prized motorcycle a few meters away, perfectly parked. A Kawasaki ninja zx-10r in a matte black color. Sparrow fell more in love every time she saw her. She bought it when she was only 18 years old with money saved from the cars she used to fix in her father's garage. It was her favorite vehicle, that beauty could reach 320 kilometers per hour, with a weight of 170 kg and about 175 horsepower. 998 cc four-cylinder engine. That motorcycle had been designed to win championships. Over the years Hannah managed to improve it, replacing and repairing parts. It was like her baby.
She reached her motorcycle, when suddenly she heard voices in an alley.
"Let go of me! Are you fucking deaf?!" A woman's voice was heard coming from that direction.
Hannah frowned, strangely leaving the helmet on the motorcycle.
"Stop moving you bitch!" A man exclaimed.
There was a sound of a slap and a short screech.
That's when Hannah didn't hesitate to intervene. Standing idly and listening made her just as guilty. So she ducked into the alley, hands shoved inside her jacket pockets.
"May I know what all this fuss is about?" She asked in a demanding tone.
She realized that there were three people there, two men who looked like two gorillas taken from the zoo and a woman. They were grabbing her by the arms.
Hannah looked at the girl a little more to make sure what her condition was. She was surprised to realize that it was the same girl she met in the elevator that morning. It was hard to forget a face like that. Her lip was split, blood staining her dark lipstick.
Sparrow gritted her teeth, feeling anger beginning to boil.
"And who the hell are you? Get out of here you bitch." The man on the right threatened.
"Leave her alone. Now." Hannah ordered with a frown. Her expression could scare even the devil himself.
"Or what?" The guy on the left scoffed, raising his chin.
"I won't repeat it again."
That gorilla laughed and began to approach with an air of grandeur.
"I will repeat it again. Or what?"
He licked his lips, inspecting Hannah from top to bottom. She ignored him completely, rather she glanced at the woman. The woman seemed scared, she hadn't said a word since Hannah had arrived. Maybe she was in shock and unable to speak.
"Look, pretty girl... Unless you want what's here like that little bitch over there." The man grabbed his crotch in a lewd and disgusting way, while pointing his thumb at the other woman. "You better get out or you're going to have a very bad time."
The man approached until he was a few centimeters away from Hannah. He didn't count on her being taller than him. That poor guy had to lift his head to look her in the eyes. He tried to hide his astonishment by biting the inside of his cheek. On the other hand, Hannah remained stoic, without moving a single muscle, without blinking, with a murderous look that penetrated his eyes.
"Damn what happened to your face?" The man asked mocking Hannah's scars.
"If you take one more step I'm going to break your teeth." Hannah spat contemptuously, ignoring that comment.
The man laughed and looked at his companion, who laughed too. Being completely unaware of who they were messing with.
The man didn't listen, he took another step.
"Or what?" He mocked, moving his face closer.
Suddenly the creak of a broken septum was heard and the man was on the ground holding his bleeding nose while grunting loudly in pain. Hannah shook her hand, relaxing her muscles and inspected her knuckles, they were bloody but the blood wasn't hers.
"I warned you, right?" Hannah raised an eyebrow, remaining completely calm. "Now let her go, or you'll end up worse than him." Hannah looked at the second man.
"Damn bitch..." the guy with the broken nose stood up ready to hit Hannah. Trying to catch her off guard, he threw a punch but only managed to hit the air. Hannah dodged it with great agility and hit him on the nose again. This time the punch was so hard that the back of the man's head hit the wall and he was knocked unconscious.
Hannah sighed and shook her head. It was always the same, the men weren’t able to stay on the ground after the first warning. She then looked over her shoulder at the second gorilla. The remaining guy took that look as a challenge rather than a warning. So he pushed the girl and lunged at Hannah.
The sergeant perfectly dodged the punches he threw. And when she found the perfect opportunity she threw a left hook that landed right in the pit of his stomach. The guy doubled over, clutching his abdomen. And without missing the opportunity Hannah struck just below his chin. The man staggered backwards until he collapsed on the ground, also unconscious.
Sparrow took a breath, catching her breath a little. Two KOs in less than two minutes, Hannah should pat herself on the shoulder for that. After that she remembered the girl, she looked for her. She found her a few meters away from her, she had her eyes fixed on the two unconscious guys on the ground.
"Hey... Are you okay?" Hannah approached her worriedly, wanting to make sure she was okay. "It's all over–"
But when the woman saw that suddenly another huge shadow was hovering over her, she got scared and didn’t hesitate to punch her hard in the nose. She staggered a couple of steps back. That took Sparrow completely by surprise. She didn't expect it, nor could she believe that her reflexes had failed her. Maybe she was too entranced by the other girl's beauty.
"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" The woman covered her mouth with both hands, completely surprised and regretful.
Hannah turned her face again and looked at her completely bewildered.
"Ouch!" Hannah complained holding the bridge of her nose.
"My goodness! It was completely unintentional!" The woman approached her worried. "You took me by surprise and I was scared. God... I'm so sorry..."
"It’s okay... It’s my fault. I got close when I shouldn't have." Hannah tried to excuse herself, trying to make light of it.
"Let's see. Let me take a look..." the woman walked over and took Hannah's face in her hands.
For a moment Hannah's heart felt like a shotgun blast. She felt terribly nervous, having such a pretty girl so close.
"Oh my god, you're bleeding."
Where was she supposed to look? To the eyes? No, she would look like a fucking psychopath.Up? Down? For God's sake, not down! When Hannah looked away and looked at the floor she was faced with incredible cleavage. By God, that woman was wearing a dark outfit capable of taking anyone's breath away. And it had definitely had an effect on Sparrow. A very tight tank top with semi-transparencies. A skirt so short and tight that it left little to the imagination, showing off slender legs. In addition to heels that seemed impossible to walk in. Her body was covered in ink, tattoos that hugged her brown skin. Japanese style? A full body irezumi? Wow.
"It won't stop bleeding... Come on. We can't leave you like this." The woman's voice brought Hannah out of her thoughts.
She grabbed Sparrow by the wrist and led her to what looked like small stairs with neon lights that descended a couple of meters until they reached a back door of some place. The bass of some music could be heard shaking the walls. When she opened the door, music filled Hannah's ears. She led her down a long, gloomy hallway to the main room. It was big, it was dark, there were neon lights everywhere, a bar to drink, tables and chairs, sofas and armchairs scattered around, surrounding platforms with a pole dancing bar in the center. Alcohol, drugs, music... There were dancers on the stages, dancing with pure sensuality and fluidity, doing incredible pirouettes on the pole. The customers who admired them didn't seem the friendliest, to say the least. Men in suits smoking cigars, gangsters looking like they had killed someone that night, or simply heartless men trying to drown their sorrows or escape from their wives...
At that moment Hannah realized what kind of place they had just entered. For a moment she wondered what she was getting into and why she let himself be dragged into the den of the wolf. Maybe to do something interesting that boring night, maybe just to tell Connor the story in the morning, or just because the girl was pretty.
Oh my god, Hannah...
The unknown woman ignored what was happening in that room and took her down another hallway to a dressing room. She opened the door. There were dancers touching up their makeup in front of incredibly well-lit mirrors. Women changing inside small fitting rooms or simply sitting in armchairs, gossiping or chatting. Everyone turned and fell silent when they noticed the new presences.
The woman ignored the rest and led Hannah to some armchairs at the back.
"Ashley can you get me some ice and the first aid kit?" The woman asked, as she took some tissues out of her purse and handed them to Sparrow.
A blonde dancer got up from her seat and brought her the first aid kit and ice.
"Can I know what happened? Have you hit another client again?" The blonde asked, observing the situation.
"What? No! Well..." the woman thought for a moment "yes, I hit her but it was an accident."
"Amara... she's bleeding..." that woman named Ashley raised an eyebrow as she rested both hands on her hips.
Amara…
"Who is that big girl?" Another woman with long braids asked, biting her lip, "She's cute."
Hannah didn't know where to look, she felt like a fawn in the headlights of a car. She was trying to concentrate on stopping the bleeding with the handkerchief. Luckily, little by little it was reducing.
"Mind your business, Tayla!" Ashley scolded her. Then she looked back at both women. "And what exactly happened?" Asked.
"I went to get some air when those two idiotic sergeants came out too and started harassing me. I hit one of them in the balls and they ended up getting angrier. But she appeared and left them unconscious on the ground. Apparently it's the only way that they learn..."
"And what did you expect, what would happen? You know them, they are soldiers! They think they have the right to touch us and use us like whores. It doesn't enter their tiny brain that the merchandise can’t be touched. Their neurons are barely useful for shoot" Ashley rolled her eyes and crossed her arms.
"Fucking soldiers... it's always the same with them. They think they're fucking kings of the world, that the rules don't work for them. They abuse their power, their position. If it were up to me they would all go to hell..." The woman spat with contempt.
Hannah swallowed and stood still and rigid. Apparently someone had a deep hatred towards the army. Sparrow felt like she was in a field full of mines. It would be best to keep her mouth shut.
Ashley chuckled and nodded.
"Anyway, I'll go tell security. We have to get those idiots out of the alley. They'll scare the customers."
Ashley ended up leaving, leaving them both alone.
"Let me take a look." The woman approached again, had Hannah remove the handkerchief from her nose and checked the condition of the nose. "It's not broken and the bleeding has finally stopped." The woman murmured in concentration, ignoring the small distance between the two. "Here, put some ice on your nose. It will help with the inflammation."
Hannah smiled gratefully as she placed the ice on the bridge of her nose. It hurt but she had received worse blows.
"You haven't told me your name yet," Sparrow muttered.
The girl looked into her eyes and smiled flirtatiously.
"Is that your way of flirting?"
Hannah shrugged. "I just want to know whose nose I almost broke for saving her from some bastards."
The girl chuckled and sat down next to Sparrow. She had a very sweet laugh.
"Amara." She introduced herself. "Amara Thompson. And... can I know my heroine's name?" She raised both eyebrows, curious.
Sparrow smiled.
"Hannah Clayton."
"Clayton? Are you Connor's sister? I remember seeing you this morning."
"Yes, well... I have a face that is difficult to forget." She pointed to the scars on her face with a small smile.
Amara had a sparkle in her eyes, she stared at the scars for a while. She was dying to ask but she didn't. Hannah was grateful.
There was silence.
"How do you feel?" Amara asked.
"I'm fine. It's not the first time I've been hit in the face." Hannah responded, trying to sound like a tough girl.
"A dangerous life eh?" Amara joked, resting her chin on her hand.
Hannah laughed. "One could say, Yes."
Amara smiled and looked towards the rest of the dancers. They all seemed to be talking and whispering about this new big girl. She sighed.
"Come on. We have to get you out of here before my boss realizes that I let you into the dressing room without permission." Amara got up, grabbed her bag, and waited for Hannah.
She got up too and they left through the same place they came in. A cold breeze picked up just as they both stepped out into the alley. Amara rubbed her bare arms.
"You can never trust the weather in Hull..." she murmured.
Hannah heard her and without thinking much she handed her her jacket.
"Take it."
Amara looked at the jacket and then at Hannah. She raised an eyebrow and smiled.
"Is this another of your ways of flirting? I've seen this one many times."
Hannah rolled her eyes but couldn't help but smile. Was she flirting? Not even she knew it.
"Take it however you want. But you're shaking like a leaf." She reached out further, insisting on grabbing the jacket.
Amara looked at the jacket and then at Hannah. She took a few seconds to observe her body build. The broad shoulders and back, big arms, the tattoos… She seemed to enjoy the view a little. She wondered what she must do to have a body like that.
"And what about you? Aren't you cold?" She looked into her eyes again.
"I grew up in the Swiss Alps. I think I can handle it."
"I forgot that you are Connor's sister." Amara answered, ending up accepting the jacket.
Sparrow didn't overlook how big that article of clothing was on her, but she didn't say anything.
"And temporarily your neighbor. At least for a couple of months." Hannah started walking.
Amara followed her.
"Did you come to visit your brother?" She asked.
The tallest one nodded. "I haven't seen him in a long time, so I thought it was a good time to pay him a visit." Hannah looked at her "do you want a ride home? I have the bike right there" she pointed out.
"Oh~ biker girl huh..." Amara raised an eyebrow. "Flirting again?"
Sparrow laughed hiding a small blush.
"We both live in the same apartment block. I'm just saying it would be easier for you if I took you." Hannah justified.
Amara thought about it for a bit and ended up nodding.
"It's okay. Just don't try anything strange."
Hannah raised both hands.
"You have my word, ma lady."
They reached the motorcycle. Hannah untied her helmet and climbed on. She offered the helmet to Amara.
"I only have one. My brother has the other one. He's probably sticking his tongue deep into a waitress." Sparrow grimaced as she remembered why she was going home alone. Well, not so alone this time. She began to be grateful that her brother had abandoned her that night.
"Won't it be dangerous for you?" Amara asked accepting the helmet and placing it on her head.
"My head is hard enough don't worry." Sparrow joked.
Amara smiled, although because of the dark visor Hannah couldn't see it. Sparrow offered her hand to help her onto the bike. Amara accepted it, when she took Hannah's hand she realized that it was incredibly warm despite the cold, it was also somewhat rough and full of cavities. A fairly damaged skin. Amara's curiosity only grew.
She leaned on Hannah's hand and shoulder, and ignoring the heat of her cheeks, she ended up getting on the motorcycle. Right behind the her.
"Have you ever ridden a motorcycle?" Hannah asked, putting the keys in the ignition, and starting the engine, letting the beast roar.
"A couple of times. But not on this type of motorcycle." Amara was a little unsure, she didn't know where to put her hands.
Hannah smiled as she looked over her shoulder at her. She gently grabbed Amara's hands and wrapped them around her torso.
They’re so small, so cold.
"Place them here. Hold on tight." Hannah advised in a low, intimate tone.
She looked up, finding a black visor looking back at her. They looked at each other for a few seconds. Hannah was trying to find those beautiful brown eyes behind the tinted plastic, but she found nothing.
Finally she realized and cleared her throat in embarrassment. She looked ahead and started the motorcycle, trying to hide a slight blush.
"Let's go then." Sparrow announced, beginning to drive through the streets of Hull.
She had a hard time concentrating, she had her eyes focused ahead, on the road, both hands firmly on the handlebars, hee foot making sure to change to the right gear and maintaining a safe speed. But her mind was somewhere else, she felt Amara's body pressed against her back, her breasts pressed against her every time she braked or slowed down. Her palms on her abdomen, Amara moved them from time to time to get a better grip. It seemed like she was caressing her skin over her shirt. Hannah could feel Amara's face in the helmet just behind her ear. Her presence tickled the back of her neck, making her hair stand on end.
Hannah please…
At first Amara was tense, nervous. She was afraid of falling. She pressed herself against Hannah and hugged herself so tightly she feared she would break her ribs. Every time the bike leaned to turn, her heart raced and her legs tightened. But little by little she learned to relax. She realized that Hannah knew how to drive well, that she wasn’t like those reckless motorists who didn't care about speed limits. She could enjoy the curves, let the bike itself decide to distribute the weight. Amara learned to lean with every turn. It was a nice way to enjoy the city. It was different. The wind ruffled her long black hair. She would probably end up disheveled but she didn't care. She didn't care about everything anymore, she was enjoying it, she even smiled all the time like a little girl. She felt safe behind that broad back. She could feel Hannah's muscles tense as the bike turned or just moved a little. Sparrow's body also radiated heat, it was like hugging a stove, the cold no longer mattered. Although now what did get hot were her cheeks, her heart was racing, but not out of fear, it was because of something else. She still didn't know why.
Still she allowed herself the luxury of relaxing, resting her chin on Hannah's shoulder. Big, hard but padded too. For a moment she wished the trip would never end.
But all good things come to an end. Hannah parked in front of the corresponding apartment block. Shee turned off the engine and took out the keys. She helped Amara get off the motorcycle and then she got off herself.
Amara took off her helmet and handed it back to Hannah with a smile. Sparrow nodded, smiling like an idiot too.
They both entered the building and then into the elevator. Always in a comfortable silence. Finally they reached the apartment and it was time to say goodbye.
Amara took off her jacket, somewhat reluctantly. She liked it, it smelled good. She wanted to keep it but ended up giving it back to Hannah.
"Thank you for bringing me home." Amara smiled, tucking a strand behind her ear.
That action didn’t go unnoticed by Sparrow, she had to swallow to calm down.
"It hasn't been any trouble." Hannah massaged the back of her neck and smiled goofily.
"And… thanks for saving me from those idiots. And sorry about the… nose. I didn't mean to."
"Don't worry about it. I'm glad I was around to help."
There was a long and somewhat awkward silence this time.
"I'd better go home. It's a little late. You should sleep too."
"Oh! Yeah yeah. Of course. It's quite late."
"It was nice meeting you Hannah Clayton." Amara opened the door to her apartment.
"I liked it too."
"Good night." Amara said goodbye.
"Yeah good night."
In the end Amara smiled and disappeared behind the door. Leaving Sparrow alone in the hallway, with a goofy smile and a hand raised as if she wanted to go after her.
When everything fell silent Hannah sighed and her smile disappeared. A strange feeling of loneliness invaded her inside.
She shook her head and walked into Connor's apartment.
"What the fuck are you thinking Han?" She muttered to herself as she realized how agitated her mind was because of Amara. She didn't even know her. She was a stranger.
The apartment was empty, no one was there. Connor would probably spend the night outside. She kicked the boots off her feet and took off her shirt and pants on the way to her room.
She ended up lying down on her corresponding bed. Looking at the ceiling. Thinking about what had happened today. Her face still hurt. That made her smile. In the end she sighed and closed her eyes trying to calm her thoughts.
Unconsciously wishing to meet Amara again, she ended up letting herself be carried away by the tide of sleep, falling deeply asleep.
___________
Several days passed, Hannah met Amara in the elevator a few times, they chatted for a moment and then parted ways.
Connor told her that Amara had been his neighbor for a couple of years, and that she became a very close friend.
"And that interest in her Han? Have you fallen in love?"
"Shut the fuck up, Connor."
"Haha I'm just saying you have nothing to lose by trying."
A week passed like this, with short encounters in the elevator. Amara always smiled at her and stopped to talk to her. At least she was no longer looking at her strangely as if she had seen a weirdo. That was progress.
Now Hannah was in the parking lot of the apartment block with her brother. She had her hands in the engine of Connor's car. According to him, it made strange noises.
"Damn it Connor, the engine belt is destroyed. When was the last time you changed it."
Connor was leaning against the side of the car with his arms crossed, watching his sister work.
"Well I don’t know."
"This car was dad's, it has more than 150,000 km on it. It's older than you and me combined." Hannah raised her head to look at her brother.
"AND?"
Hannah looked at him like her brother really was an idiot.
"The timing belt has to be changed every 100,000 kilometers, idiot."
"Hey, you're the expert, I'm not." Connor defended himself.
Hannah sighed.
"I'm going to go buy a new timing belt this afternoon."
Suddenly a pair of heels was heard approaching in the distance.
"Hey guys." Amara walked past the Clayton siblings.
Hannah couldn't help but notice the incredible dress Amara was wearing. It was black, short, tight to the body, showing off firm, long legs. The black accentuated her tattoos.
Connor discreetly kicked Sparrow's boot. Hannah glared at him while Connor smirked and winked at her.
"Amara, dear! How are you? On your way to work?" Connor walked up to her and gave her a quick hug.
"That's right, debts and bills won't pay themselves." Amara sighed, reciprocating the hug.
A small wave of childish jealousy hit Hannah. But she didn't say anything.
"What are you two up to?" Amara asked separating herself from Connor.
"Hannah is checking my car. It's been making strange noises for several days."
Amara studied Hannah with a look that made the taller girl's legs tremble.
"Ah. Do you know about cars? Like Connor?" Amara asked.
Hannah straightened her back and wiped her hands on an old rag.
"I know how to sell cars. Hannah knows how to repair them. She's a mechanic."
"That's interesting." Amara smiled without taking her eyes off Hannah. "I think mine has some problem with the steering. It doesn't turn very well."
"I can take a look at it when you have free time."
"That sounds good."
Connor looked at them both as if he were watching a tennis match, a mischievous smile on his face. Oh he knew very well what he had to do.
"Well! I have to go, I have an appointment with a client and I can't cancel it."
Hannah raised an eyebrow in surprise.
"You didn't tell me you had work today."
"Well, sis. I don't need to tell you everything I do in my life." He patted Hannah's shoulder and winked. "Amara, love, it's been a pleasure seeing you today. I hope work goes well."
"See you around, Connor." Amara said goodbye.
And before Hannah could reproach, Connor was already gone. Leaving Hannah and Amara alone.
Hannah could have felt a little nervous. The silence was too uncomfortable for her so she pretended to pay attention to the engine. She heard Amara approach.
"I didn't know you were a mechanic." Amara commented.
"Yeah, well... My family is quite linked to cars. My father was a mechanic, and my older brother and I followed in his footsteps. I run a small garage with my brother in Switzerland."
"That sounds interesting."
There was another silence. Hannah didn't like silence, she felt that at any moment Amara would get bored and leave.
Oh god Hannah what are you thinking? Amara has to leave, she has to go to work. Work…
"Do you want me to take a look at it?"
Great Hannah…
"Mh?" Amara looked at her confused.
"To the car. I can do it in a moment. Or at least see what it's about." Then she rubbed the back of her neck and looked away. "If you have free time of course."
"Sure. I still have time." Amara lied. She was in a hurry, but she didn't care, her boss could wait a little longer.
Sparrow nodded and closed the hood of Connor's car.
"Which one is your car?"
Sparrow followed Amara a few meters until they reached an old and somewhat dilapidated car.
Hannah whistled in surprise.
"I think your car has more problems than just the steering. In fact I don't know if it will pass the next technical inspection." Sparrow examined the car, it was a gem from the past that needed to be retired, it was barely in one piece. "Have you thought about changing it?"
Amara thought about the answer a little.
"I can't afford it and I'm too fond of that car to get rid of it so easily."
Sparrow found something hidden behind those beautiful brown eyes. There was a story behind that car so she simply nodded.
“Then it'll be better if I take a look at it. Maybe it’s not that bad.”
She lay face up on the ground and crawled until she was right under the car.
“Let's see…” Hannah took out a small flashlight and began examining the pieces.
Amara stood watching, admiring, even enjoying the views. Hannah's shirt had risen slightly showing part of her abdomen. Amara bit her lower lip unconsciously. She realized that there were also scars on that part of the body. A wave of curiosity overtook her, but she said nothing.
“The axle seems to be fine, there is rust and some dents but nothing serious that could affect the steering of the car.” Hannah commented, getting out from under the vehicle and standing up. She pointed to the door that led to the driver's seat. “Do you mind if I look inside?”
“Oh! Sure." Amara took out the keys and unlocked the car.
Hannah got into the car and sat in the driver's seat. She started checking some things.
“I think I already found the problem. It's the steering wheel. It is too loose or not properly adjusted to the steering column.”
Amara crossed her arms and leaned against the car.
"And what does it mean?" She asked looking into Hannah's eyes.
“It means I could fix it in an afternoon. I only need a few tools and there would be no need to take it to a mechanic.” Hannah responded by getting out of the car and resting her elbow on the roof of the vehicle.
Amara sighed in relief.
Hannah watched her for a moment. Hesitating whether to say something or not. But in the end she ended up saying it.
Living only happens once.
“But…” Hannah spoke again making Amara look up. “My services aren’t free.” she smiled sideways.
Amara's smile spread but she looked away. She snorted and reconnected her gaze with Hannah.
"How much are we talking about?" Amara supported her weight at first.
“Mmm…” Sparrow thought a little “ a dinner?”
It took Amara a little while to react but she ended up letting out a giggle that sounded incredibly sweet to Hannah.
“Is that what you ask for in return?” Amara raised an eyebrow. She looked more relaxed.
"It's too much? “We can leave it for coffee if you want.”
Amara bit her lip again and shook her head. A light blush rose to her cheeks. Hannah's heart skipped a beat.
“No, dinner sounds good. “I just… I didn’t think you’d ask me out on a date in exchange for fixing my car.”
“Well… money is too boring sometimes.” Hannah shrugged.
“I wasn't talking about money.” Amara continued smiling despite the conversation. It was like Hannah always gave him that goofy smile. She didn't dislike him.
“Oh no?”
Amara chuckled and shook her head.
"It doesn't matter." Amara took a step forward, standing inches from Hannah. She was wearing heels but Hannah was still taller. She e motioned with her finger for Hannah to lower her head a little. The taller one obeyed and Amara took the opportunity to leave a tender kiss on her cheek. “Thank you for checking my car, Hannah.” Amara thanked in a honeyed, almost flirtatious tone.
Hannah froze at that very moment. She never thought lips could feel so soft. How a single kiss could make her fall to her knees as if someone had shot her in the heart. But this time it was a shot that did feel good.
"Tonight. “Come pick me up at the club when I finish work.” Amara turned and walked towards her car, swaying her hips.
“But by the time you finish work it will be too late, all the restaurants will be closed.” Hannah responded confused.
Amara turned around just before getting into her car and flashed a mischievous smile.
“Then surprise me. By the way, I don't eat meat."
And without saying anything else, she got into the car, started and drove away, leaving Hannah with the word in her mouth.
And now what was she going to do?
_____________
Hannah parked in front of the club. She turned off the engine and took the keys out of the ignition. She stopped for a moment to think. She realized that she was nervous, terribly nervous. On no mission was she as nervous as she is now. She was always ready for anything, she wasn't afraid of death, bullets or fire. And now a simple date made her legs tremble.
She wanted to laugh. She had known Amara for a few weeks and was already making her laugh like a schoolgirl.
She took the helmet off her head and shook her hair a little. She got off the bike and adjusted the backpack on her back.
She opened the door to the club and entered. The guard at the door never took his eyes off Hannah, judging what she was doing there and whether she was going to cause problems in the club.
The place was illuminated by Neon lights. There were people sitting on the couches and on the tables, admiring the dancers who moved sensually around the pole, doing pirouettes and acrobatics, moving their bodies fluidly and slowly.
Hannah still wasn't used to that environment. She had never been in a place like this. She still remembered her old teammates from the Swiss armed forces, they always joked about going to a strip club after going out for a few beers all together. Hannah was never interested in that.
She realized that she was in the middle and was starting to get in the way of people passing by. So she approached the bar and sat on one of the high stools, leaving her backpack on the floor between her boots. A barwoman approached Sparrow as soon as she sat down.
"What do you want to drink?"
Hannah looked up.
"Oh no. Nothing thanks. I have to drive and I’m waiting for someone.”
The girl raised an eyebrow.
“Oh. Are you a client? Are you waiting for one of the girls?”
"No. I’m not—..."
Suddenly a sudden change of music interrupted her. Hannah turned and saw that the neon lights and spotlights had focused on a platform.
People began to cheer and clap excitedly. The music became slow, sensual, sexy. The silhouette of a woman appeared on the platform, there were too many people sitting around and standing, Hannah had a hard time seeing who it was. So she stood up, raising her head above those of the rest.
And that's when she felt her heart speed up, her pupils get bigger and her breathing hitch.
Amara was on top of that stage, ready to leave everyone drooling, the show was hers, as were the hearts and wallets of those who were there. She was twirling around the dancing pole in dangerously high heels. Hannah wondered how she could move so well in that type of footwear. Amara followed the rhythm of the music, running her hands over her almost naked body. A tiny bikini full of diamonds that covered just what was necessary and left nothing to the imagination. The lights highlighted the perfect makeup, her skin, her tattoos that hugged her arms, legs and back.
Everyone was cheering her, whistling and throwing bills at her while Amara did incredible pirouettes on the bar, some of which seemed impossible for Amara to stay there, defying gravity. The show was pure sensuality.
Hannah was unable to blink, she didn't want to look away even for a moment, she could barely keep her mouth closed.
She still wondered how she had gotten a date with a woman like her. She didn't even know how she got it.
“You must be Hannah.” A female voice forced her to look away from what for her was paradise.
A blonde woman wearing an outfit similar to Amara's had approached her.
"How do you know my name?" Hannah asked over the music.
“Amara doesn't stop talking about you. I'm Ashley. We met a few weeks ago. “When the girl up there almost broke your nose.” Ashley pointed at Amara who was still dancing on the platform.
Hannah remembered the girl Amara talked to that day she first walked into the club.
"I remember you."
“This is Amara's last show, then her turn will be over. I’ll take you to a quieter place so you can wait for her there.” Ashley offered.
Hannah had to admit that all those people were starting to wear her down quite a bit. She didn't like big crowds, she wasn't used to that. So she agreed, grabbed the backpack again and followed Ashley to some armchairs separated from the rest, in a corner of the large room. There were armchairs in the shape of a circle with a table in the middle, they seemed much more comfortable. The music was still loud but at least she wasn't surrounded by people who wouldn't stop pushing.
“You will be better here.”
"Thank you." Hannah nodded and placed her backpack and helmet on the couch. She also took off her jacket and left it with the rest.
She waited patiently, although she was nervous, it was her first date with Amara and she wanted everything to be perfect. While waiting she could hear the giggles and comments of other dancers. They seemed to be whispering about her, she tried to ignore them but eventually she got fed up and gave them a threatening look. When she looked at both women she realized that they weren’t making fun of her but rather they were smiling flirtatiously and biting their lower lip.
“You're the big girl from the other day~! Why don't you come spend a little time with us, dear? I won't charge you anything, your pretty face and those big arms are enough for me~…” One of the dancers flirted by resting both elbows on the bar, accentuating her breasts.
The other woman giggled.
Hannah stood there watching as both dancers ogled her. Not really knowing what to say, she wasn't used to that kind of compliment.
“Huh…”
“Did the cat eat your tongue?” Do you want me to give it back to you?”
“Sophie, Tayla, you are next.” Amara's voice was like a divine apparition arriving at the perfect time to save Hannah.
Amara finally arrived, she was wearing the same dress as that same afternoon, black, tight, stunning. She hadn't looked up yet, she was checking to make sure she had all her belongings inside her purse.
“Ooh~...Are you going to steal our fun Amara?” One of the girls pouted. "You are jealous?"
“If you want the money to keep raining you can get on that stage and move your ass.” Amara said with a serious tone.
Both girls rolled their eyes and walked away. Amara sighed and approached Sparrow.
"Sorry. Those two are really scandalous.” She sighed, looking tired from work.
Hannah smiled. Even though she was extremely tired, Amara looked incredible. She still couldn't get that incredible dance out of her head.
"It doesn't matter. Are you ready?" Hannah asked.
Amara looked up. She noticed that Hannah had subtly dressed up for her. She liked her style. It suited her very well.
"Of course. Come on." Amara smiled.
“After you, ma lady.” Sparrow said as she grabbed the jacket and her belongings.
Amara chuckled and they both left the strip club.
Amara already knew Sparrow's motorcycle so she approached it without thinking too much. Hannah did the same and pulled a second helmet out of her backpack.
“This time I came more prepared.” Hannah said as she offered the helmet to her.
Amara accepted it and put it on.
“Where are you taking me to dinner?” Amara asked curiously.
"It's a surprise. You don’t want to ruin the surprise, do you?” Hannah answered. She put on her helmet too and got on the motorcycle.
Like the first time she offered her hand to help Amara, who gladly accepted it. Hannah's heart always skipped a beat when her skin came into contact with Amara's, it was like a tingle that turned into a pleasant chill down her spine. She was unable to hide the blush that burned on her cheeks, luckily the helmet covered her face.
Amara got on the bike too, right behind Hannah.
“Do you have anything else in your backpack?” Amara asked, eyeing the backpack hanging from Sparrow's shoulders.
“I'm not going to say anything about it.” She answered with a mischievous smile.
“Hannah Clayton… What are you up to?” Amara asked suspiciously.
How sweet her name sounded between those lips...
"As I said." Hannah turned her face to look at the other woman, “I'm not going to say anything.” This time with a lower tone, even seductive one could say.
That caused Amara to bite her bottom lip, something tickling her lower belly. Too bad Hannah couldn't see it because of the helmet.
Hannah started the engine and Amara took that as a cue to wrap both arms around Sparrow's torso. Unfortunately there was a backpack in the middle and she couldn't feel the body heat of the tallest one, she was starting to get cold, she would surely ask for the jacket again. She loved that jacket.
Sparrow started and drove away. She drove for a while, leaving the narrow streets of Hull and starting to drive towards the outskirts of the city. Amara had no idea where she was taking her, a feeling of excitement settled in her stomach.
Hannah got out onto the highway and then took another road that began to climb up a small mountain, the road began to wind, becoming narrower and tighter.
Finally they reached the top of that small mountain.
"Okay. We’ve arrived." Hannah announced taking off her helmet.
Amara looked around, the road ended in a small parking lot and the rest were grassy hills and some meadows.
“Why did you bring me here?” Amara asked curiously, taking off her helmet as well.
Hannah rubbed the back of her neck, somewhat embarrassed.
“I thought… after all the noise and people at the club you might like to eat somewhere quiet.”
“In the middle of nowhere? Hannah, it's dark!” She chuckled.
Hannah didn't know if it had been a good decision to bring her here. Maybe a restaurant would have been better, one that was open until after midnight perhaps.
“But… it is a quiet place.” Amara watched the site with a smile.
That calmed Hannah's nerves a little.
Hannah got off the bike and helped Amara off as well. She left both helmets on the motorcycle and started walking towards the small mountain. Hannah turned around and realized that it was difficult for Amara to walk across the grass in those heels. So she approached her.
“Maybe I had to come in different clothes— HANNAH!” Amara exclaimed when she suddenly couldn't feel her feet on the ground anymore. Hannah carried Amara in her arms.
Amara had to put her arms around Hannah's neck for fear of falling.
"It's better this way. That way you won’t break your heels.” Hannah mentioned with a smile and continued walking with Amara in her arms.
When the shock passed, Amara began to laugh. That seemed like the most unusual date she had had in a long time. Her cheeks had turned red and her heart was jumping with excitement.
Hannah walked until she reached the other side of the mountain, away from the lights of Hull. It was a small, round mountain, not very steep.
When she thought she had reached the right place she gently placed Amara on the ground. She also put down her backpack and began to take out various things. She also took out a jacket and handed it to Amara.
“I knew you were going to forget to bring something for the cold.” Hannah said as she handed her the jacket.
Amara smiled. “I think you're starting to get to know me.” she said as she put on her jacket.
"Only a little. “I only know how to observe.”
Amara watched as Hannah set everything up until she realized what it was about.
"A picnic? Under the moonlight? How romantic~…” Amara sat on the tablecloth and looked at the food in front of her. “It's a shame there's no moon.”
“That's the good thing.” Hannah smiled.
Amara didn't quite understand it until Hannah pointed her finger at the sky. She looked up and as soon as she saw it, her lips opened in amazement. Now that they were far from the city and the light wasn’t in the way. A blanket of stars stretched across the sky, countless tiny dots wherever she looked. She had never seen so many stars together.
“Oh wow…” she murmured in amazement and unable to look away.
"Incredible right?" Hannah mentioned, but she wasn't looking at the stars, but at Amara.
“It's beautiful… I've never seen so many stars together.”
“And there are even more stars, but we would have to go further to see them all.”
They spent some time looking at the stars, Hannah showed her constellations and the most important stars or those closest to the earth. Amara listened attentively but also had her eyes lost in that spectacle of billions of small lights.
Finally Amara's stomach made an appearance and they decided to start eating. Hannah took out a small portable lantern so that they at least had a little light and it was easier to see.
They ate, enjoying every bite, the conversation flowed easily. In the end, when they finished eating, they turned off the lantern and stayed lying on the grass. It wasn't too cold, but it wasn't hot either. Autumn was beginning to appear.
“I have never seen so many stars together.” Amara murmured still amazed.
Hannah smiled.
“This isn’t even half of the stars in the sky.”
“Have you seen more?” Amara looked away from the sky to look at Hannah.
"oh yes At the base camp of Everest, Or at the top of Lhotse, or Mont Blanc…” she began to wander through her memories.
"Wait wait!" Amara sat up and looked at Hannah with an expression of disbelief. “Were you on Everest?!”
Hannah was somewhat taken by surprise but remembered that she had never spoken to Amara about that part of her life.
“Oh!” Hannah chuckled. “Haven't I told you? I am a climber. My brother and I hold six historical climbing records.”
"What?!" Amara rested both hands on Hannah's biceps and moved closer, completely surprised. "Are you kidding?! Why didn’t you ever tell me?!”
“W-well. I never had a chance to tell you.” Hannah blushed and rubbed the back of her neck, all that attention and admiration making her nervous.
She told some stories about her ascents to the highest mountains in the world, the risks she had taken, the funny anecdotes or even the most dangerous moments, but always avoiding the K2 accident. Amara listened attentively to the stories. Like a little girl being told an extraordinary adventure. His eyes sparkled with curiosity. She never thought that something like that would attract so much attention. Maybe because they were adventures so far from home and from places she had never heard of.
“Although my older brother is the famous one of the two. The one that appears on the covers of magazines and in the news. The unstoppable Nathan Clayton” Hannah laughed. “I'm just his climbing partner. Although between you and me… I have more records than him, I only let him take the credit and fame.”
“And what about your fame?” Amara asked curiously.
“I don't like the attention. Many people tend to climb for fame and money. As if it were a competition about who is the fastest or who takes the most dangerous route. I like to approach climbing with a different philosophy.”
Hannah told a half-truth. It was true that she hated the pressure that came with being a world famous climber like her brother was. Always having to reach higher and faster, risking your own life in front of millions of eyes, waiting for your next achievement. But she also had to protect her identity and her people, she was a soldier in one of the best special operations forces. She had to keep a low profile, almost anonymous, to protect herself and her family and friends. She didn't want her enemies to be able to find her so easily just by searching her name in the newspapers. In fact, she expressly asked her brother to never mention her in reports or interviews, Hannah's world records went to Nathan, her glory and achievements were given to Nathan. Even though Nathan didn't like it, he respected his sister's decision. People believed that Nathan climbed alone, no one knew of his sister's presence on the expeditions. Only very close family and friends of Hannah knew about it.
“So… a world-class professional climber but hates fame and money.” Amara summarized. “You are becoming more and more interesting, Hannah Clayton.” Amara smiled flirtatiously.
“What can I say, I'm full of surprises.” Hannah smiled and shrugged.
Amara chuckled.
“Now I understand where this is coming from.” Amara squeezed Hannah's bicep lightly. “You have to be a big, strong girl to climb those mountains, huh?”
Hannah laughed nervously and looked away trying to hide her obvious blush.
“It's not that big of a deal…”
“Mhm…” Amara rolled her eyes. She liked that nervous expression on Hannah's face. She liked watching her try to stay calm, when she was clearly a nervous, babbling mess. “No wonder you could beat up that pair of filthy soldiers.” Amara sighed and looked toward the dark horizon. “It's always the same with those bastards, they always do what they want, without caring about the consequences… without caring about the harm they do to people…”
There was silence. Hannah wanted to talk but she felt a little unsure, maybe she was entering dangerous territory.
"Can I ask you a personal question?" Hannah asked a little cautiously.
Amara turned curiously to Hannah. She thought about it for a moment but ended up answering.
"Shoot."
“Why do you hate soldiers so much? It seems… something personal.”
Amara bit the inside of her cheek. And she thought about her answer.
“I don't like to generalize things. Put all the people in the same bag, you know? But always... people who work in the military, especially soldiers, are the worst customers. They think they can touch me, and use me like a cheap whore. I don't offer those services! They destroy everything, there are always fights within the club because of them. You've already seen the type of clients we have. It's better not to mess with them. But they believe they can do whatever they want, because they supposedly give their lives for this shitty country. And even though they destroy everything we must thank them for their services.” She sighed and shook her head. She was biting her lower lip and staring at the horizon. Her mind was probably somewhere else.
Hannah felt a pang in her chest. It was true that there were idiots everywhere, in the army, in the S.A.S and even in the Swiss Armed Forces. Nobody could deny that. But was Hannah really like that? Was she also abusing her position as a soldier? What would Amara think of her if she found out that she was a soldier too? She would surely hate her. And everything they had built together, no matter how small, would fall apart and Hannah would lose her.
A feeling of insecurity washed over her. She didn't want to lose Amara, at least not yet. Hannah wanted to treat herself to being with someone. Even if everything only remained a beautiful friendship. Enjoy the beautiful things until the bomb explodes.
“There’s something else… Right?” Hannah deduced from Amara's expression.
Amara swallowed and looked down at her hands nervously. Her fingers played with the black polish on her long nails. She took a breath and began to explain.
“When I was twelve years old… I lived with my parents in London. One night my mother and I went to visit my father at his work office. He had been working for a long time and we wanted to surprise him.” she took a breath, her hands shaking. “Someone decided that that building in the middle of central London would be a good place for a terrorist attack. “Someone detonated explosives and half the building collapsed.” She sighed, trying to stay calm. “There was a lot of noise and everything suddenly went dark.”
“Amara, you don't have to tell me this…” Sparrow interrupted, seeing how much this was affecting her.
Hannah just wanted to have a good time with her, she didn't want to wake up old demons.
"It's ok. I have never talked about this and I think I need to get it out of me.” Amara tried to smile but it remained in a sad face. “A group of soldiers found us in the rubble, they looked like they were from the military police or something similar. My parents were trapped under a huge piece of concrete, I was small enough that they could pull me out of the cracks, but not my parents. I listened to them... They talked about how there was nothing to do, that they couldn't get them out of there, there was no time. I begged them to help them but no one listened to me. Those soldiers were too busy arguing. When suddenly… The team leader pulled out a gun and fired twice.”
Sparrow's heart stopped.
"What?"
Amara's lip began to tremble. She shrugged her shoulders.
“That man justified himself by saying that it was an act of mercy.” Suddenly she shook her head. All that sadness turned into anger. “That supposed act of mercy ruined my life. Do you think that man cared what happened to me after he pulled the trigger? No. He didn't give a shit. That's what we are to them, numbers, setbacks, collateral damage. They don't care about us at all, they talk about saving us but we are just another excuse for them to hang more medals on their chests."
Sparrow stood thoughtfully, looking Amara in the eyes. She could see the anger and sadness welling up in those beautiful eyes. Her heart was beating very fast.
She would hate me if she found out what I am.
“I'm sorry I made you remember that.” Hannah apologized.
Amara's anger lessened, her eyes softening as she saw Hannah's worried expression. With those big brown puppy eyes...
“It's okay Han. I don’t know why but I feel like I can trust you.” Amara looked at the sky again. “I have carried this burden alone for too long.”
Hannah nodded.
They stayed for a while longer until it was too late. They both got up and picked up their things. They returned to the motorcycle.
Amara put her hands in the pockets of the jacket Hannah lent her. It smelled like her, it was pleasant, that aroma seemed to protect her from the cold. Then she noticed what Hannah was doing.
"What are you doing?" She asked curiously, approaching the one from behind, who was kneeling near her motorcycle.
Thanks to a screwdriver that Hannah had in her backpack, she managed to unscrew the motorcycle's license plate. Then she put everything in her backpack, including the license plate.
“Just in case.” Hannah stood up and winked at her.
Amara raised an eyebrow.
“Removing the license plate is a crime Hannah. What are you up to?”
“I thought we could make the trip home more… fun.” Hannah smiled with mock innocence.
Amara was silent for a few seconds but when she understood it she chuckled.
“I knew you had been so good on the road for too long.”
“Come on, what is life without a little adrenaline?” Hannah tilted her head, using her puppy eyes to try to convince her.
Amara rolled her eyes. She bit her lower lip, it was difficult for her to refuse those little brown eyes.
"Do you trust me?" Hannah asked walking up to her and holding out her hand.
Amara looked at that large hand, calloused but warm. Whenever she felt those hands on her body she felt safe. Amara sighed and ended up nodding. Hannah's smile widened.
“I hope you know what you’re doing.” Amara took Hannah's hand.
Sparrow guided her to the side of the bike and helped her on.
“I would never put you in a dangerous situation that I cannot control.” Hannah responded, handing her the helmet.
She accepted the helmet and put it on. Sparrow did the same and got on the bike. She then handed the backpack to Amara.
“Could you do me a favor, love?”
Amara hoisted her backpack onto her back.
"Sure."
Hannah nodded.
"Hold on."
The shorter one laughed excitedly.
"Yes ma'am"
Amara hugged Hannah's torso and rested her chin on her shoulder.
Sparrow started the motorcycle and accelerated. She drove at a leisurely speed through the curves of the mountain until she reached the highway. Due to the time it was there were no cars on the road. They had free rein.
Hannah turned to look at Amara.
"Ready?"
Amara looked at that dark visor, she couldn't see through them but she knew there was a mischievous smile behind it.
“Let's do it!” she answered excitedly.
She pressed her body further against Hannah's back and held on tighter.
Hannah didn't hesitate to accelerate, making the engine of her Kawasaki Ninja 10x-zr roar loudly. Upgrading the gears periodically to increase speed. She pressed her chest against the bike, crouching as low as she could to avoid air resistance as much as possible. Amara did the same, leaning her chest against Hannah's back as much as she could. Hannah's shoulders were wide enough to cover Amara from the wind.
In the curves the bike leaned so much that Sparrow's knee could almost touch the asphalt.
Adrenaline coursed through Amara's veins until it settled like a heavy stone in the pit of her stomach. The wind, the speed, the noise of the engine. All of this made her senses go on alert. She was sure they had already exceeded any speed limit. 160? 180k? 200km/h? Maybe more. And she had a feeling that that wasn’t the maximum speed.
Afraid? Of course she was afraid. But just enough to enjoy the moment. In a burst of emotion and euphoria she began to laugh and scream.
"Wooooo hahaha!"
Hannah had to stay focused on the road but her heart was beating euphorically with joy. How long had it been since she'd last driven like this?
In Zermatt the curves were tighter and there was a lack of long straight roads that would allow the full potential of the engine to be unleashed. It was the typical Swedish mountain landscape. Hannah loved drifting down those narrow roads but she really missed being able to accelerate that fast.
When they entered the city, Hannah slowed slightly but it was still dangerously high. The city lights reflected on the black of the motorcycle and on the helmets. The noise of the engine bounced between the buildings, surely the sleeping people had woken up enraged.
Suddenly the flash of bright blue lights and the sound of police sirens brought the sergeant out of her thoughts.
Hannah looked back for a moment and saw three police cars chasing them. Perhaps she had made too much of a racket on the streets of Hull.
“Hannah!” Amara saw them too.
“Are we going to chicken out now?” Sparrow asked.
Amara laughed. Fuck all.
"Of course not!"
Hannah chuckled, put both hands on the handlebars of the bike, and accelerated again. The engine roared again and the distance between the police cars increased. But the police seemed to be persistent and wouldn’t give up.
They spent a long time with the police stepping on their toes. Hannah skidded, made turns, trying to throw them off but she was unsuccessful. Sometimes police cars would try to cross her path to stop her or catch her later, but Hannah always managed to avoid them.
In one last skid where she was able to separate herself from the police enough to lose sight of her for a few seconds, she found a narrow, dark alley between two buildings. She skidded to the brakes and they hid inside the alley. She quickly turned off the lights and the engine, becoming completely silent, merging with the darkness of the place.
Both women watched as the police cars passed by, looking for them, without having the slightest idea that they had been left behind, that they had lost them.
When the danger had passed and everything was quiet, with only the police sirens in the distance, Hannah was finally able to relax her shoulders.
“I think we're safe now.”
Suddenly Amara started laughing.
Hannah turned around confused. She couldn't see Amara's face because of the helmet but at least her ears were blessed with her sweet laughter.
“And what do you think is so funny, huh?” Hannah laughed infectiously.
"My God! I thought they were going to catch up to us! Hahaha!” Amara continued laughing because of the adrenaline that was still in her veins.
“Did you doubt my driving skills that much?” Hannah asked pretending to be offended, but her laughter gave her away.
“I've never had so much fun! Haha! I thought we were going to crash at any moment!” Amara shook Sparrow's shoulders. “I almost had a heart attack.”
Hannah laughed, relieved that Amara had fun.
A few long minutes passed and they made sure there was no more danger nearby, then Hannah drove home, this time at a more appropriate speed.
They arrived at the apartment block and Amara opened the door to her apartment. Hannah stood waiting, hands in her jacket pockets.
Before entering Amara turned around.
“Thank you for this night. It's been... Amazing” Amara sighed with a smile on her lips.
Hannah rubbed the back of her neck nervously, looking in another direction.
"Was nothing. I loved spending time with you.” Hannah's cheeks turned slightly reddish.
Amara took out a piece of paper and a pen from her purse, jotted something down quickly, and handed it to Hannah.
Sparrow raised her eyebrows, confused but accepted it, there was a phone number written down.
“On the next date it will be my turn to choose the place.” Amara smiled flirtatiously.
“Uh sure.” Hannah's heart was pounding.
Amara sighed, still keeping the smile on her lips, since she had gotten off the motorcycle she couldn't get it off her face. She took a step forward and motioned with her finger for Hannah to lower her head. Hannah obeyed, believing she would leave another kiss on her cheek. That was all Sparrow needed to end the night, all it took to make her poor heart burst.
At first that was the plan, but Amara decided to change her mind. Fuck it. She decided to listen to what her heart asked of hee. She placed a soft kiss on Hannah's lips. A short, shy kiss, but bold enough to send a clear message.
“Good night Han~” Amara smiled, separating from the kiss and leaving for her apartment, closing the door behind her. Leaving Hannah completely in shock.
What has happened? Had she kissed her?
What?
She touched her lips unconsciously. She could still feel the softness of Amara's lips. The tenderness of the kiss. Her knees began to tremble, neither on the climbs to the most dangerous mountains, nor on the missions where she was about to die, nor on the times she had driven at more than 230 km/h had she felt as much adrenaline and nerves as now.
Her face turned completely red. She had to cover her face with both hands. She was there, standing like an idiot in front of Amara's apartment. But she felt like the happiest person in the world.
"Shit…"
Shadowplay | Part two
Tumblr media
When did he develop intentions for you? You, who were never special. You weren't a dragon or blood of old valyria. And yet, you were the only lady who cleared his sight on cloudy nights.
pairing: Aemond Targaryen x Fem!Reader
warnings: slight angst, happy ending.
for: @hopebaker
Part one - Part two
The conflicted feeling between following your shadow and not getting involved in your life gradually suffocated Aemond, pushing him over the limite that night. He doesn't know how, he doesn't know why, he just knows he has to come to you and stop the madness you’re subjecting your life and reputation to. You might not be that special, but you were occupying a space in his mind that troubled him on a daily basis.
“The city at night is not a suitable environment for a lady.” He said, blocking your way out. "Where is your brother?"
Your mind went back to the grey strands you'd seen on one of your first escapes from the castle. It was him. When tension began to creep into your body and your breathing became irregular, you inquired:
“Are you watching us? A few nights ago I thought I saw grey hairs in the hall.”
He remained silent, features fading briefly. In addition to being discovered earlier, it had self-reported now. Maybe he underestimated your perception, or overestimated his abilities.
"Let me pass."
"No."
"Why?"
He did not know.
“It's not safe for you out there. Not decent.”
Decent. What was decent? Submitting to the misfortune of a choice not made by you? Serving as a breeding source for a man's children? Keeping up appearances of something unreal? Not. Decency is a concept that does not apply to your reality. There is no decency in the court of King Viserys I, only service.
"I'm afraid that's not your problem, my prince." When he continued to bar your way, your tone rose considerably. "Let me go."
"No."
"Why are you doing this? Why do you care?”
"I don't know."
"You don’t know? Do you want to mess up my life for something you don't know about?"
“You are disturbing your life, what do you think your lord father will do if he discovers your nocturnal wanderings?”
“Do you dare tell?”
“Do you think I should?”
"No."
“So return to your chambers, my lady.”
Your beautiful eyes, before indifferent, now replicated the feeling of the last time they crossed paths: anger. Your jaw clenched as harsh words tumbled from your mouth.
“It's easy for you to act like that. You’re not trapped in an unhappy engagement and you will not spend the rest of your days in a decrepit castle in the north serving solely to birth the children of an old man who cares nothing for me, beyond the name and youth I carry.” Your lip trembled as a lone tear threatened to stain you cheek. "You don't understand and you never will."
Even though Aemond's recurrent pity for the situation softened him, urged him to touch your face and calm your heart, he remained impassive, erect, without moving a hair.
“My mother married an older man.” His words were emotionless, conscious of weight and meaning.
"I'm not your mother." You protested irritably. “Let me go, Aemond, please.”
“I can not, my lady.”
He didn't expect so much fury from your small body when you tried to break through the barrier he imposed. His long hands held you forearms firmly but gently.
“I don't want to hurt you, my lady.”
“You’re already doing it.” There were no obstacles to stop the tears from escaping your eyes. He felt awful, truly awful. “My wedding is in a month and you are trying to deprive me of seeing the world beyond these walls.”
“Did you intend to go alone today? Are you out of your mind my lady, don't you know how dangerous it is out there for someone like you? These people are wild and freeloaders. Your brother is a fool for showing you this world.”
“My brother is the most honorable man I know. You are a fool for trying to control my life. Get out of my way!"
"Where is he?"
“None of your business.”
Yes. It says. He doesn't know why, he doesn't know why he cares, seven hells he doesn't know why he keeps holding your body so close. He just needs to do what he has to do: maintain your honor and safety. So he hates himself all over again when your eyes widen at the threat of telling your father in exchange for your brother's location. He could feel your body tense again in pure derision. He hates himself for it.
“At the intersection between the castle and the city.” Your tone was meek, weak and whiny. “Don't do anything to him, please.”
Releasing your wrists, Aemond forced himself not to caress your face and wipe away your sadness. “I will not, my lady. But you have to promise me you won't do that again.”
“Why, Aemond? Why are you doing this?"
“Just promise me.”
"No. I will not submit to you. Do not speak to me again.”
Your name was tossed to the wind as your legs stormed towards your chambers. Who does he think he is? You wouldn't let another man dictate the reins of your life. No. Not now that you've tasted the sweetest piece of freedom.
That night Aemond went to meet your brother, surprising him. He was a fool, utterly, what kind of man would expose a lady as exquisite as yourself to the low environment of the flea bottom?
“Why do you care?” Your good brother questioned truly intrigued.
"It does not matter. Yo-"
"Yes. Matter yes. What are your intentions with my sister?”
Perhaps the prince overestimated his effect on people, for your brother was undeterred.
“What are your intentions with my sister, my prince?” He insisted.
“I have no intentions with your sister, my lord.”
“I saw how you looked at her a while ago, when we were with my father and her bridgeroom” Your brother recalled. “And now this. How often do you watch the other nobles, my prince?”
Even with the one-eyed prince's newly stiffened posture, your brother continued.
“If you wish to marry my sister, I need to know that you would treat her well, as I might deal with my lord father.”
Tempting.
"I don't need your interference."
“So you admit your intentions?”
Aemond took a deep breath. He hated being confronted in such a way, especially when there was substantiation in the insinuations hurled at him. And when did that happen? When did he develop intentions for you? You, who were never special. You weren't a dragon and you weren't blood of old Valyria. And yet, you were the only lady who cleared his eyes on cloudy nights. You, a pretty, fearless little thing with expressive eyes and tempting lips. You were beautiful and he knew so little about you. Not that family and blood bullshit, but about you, who are you when the owl sings? He was intrigued and tempted. He needed to meet you.
“If you have something to say, come to me. If not, just stay out of my sister's life, she has enough unhappiness to worry about.”
He didn't want your unhappiness.
The prince's steps towards the red keep were relentless like the confusion in his heart. He doesn't understand the origin of feelings and what he really feels for you, but he knows he does. He feels. He wants to wrap your body and dry your tears, he wants to unravel your thoughts and personality. What did you like? What did you think of him? Who were you? Would you be able to love him as lord husband and man?
Aemond tried to be silent as he knocked on your bedroom door, breathing heavily. He would never forgive himself for tarnishing your reputation, no matter how much he wanted to kiss you as soon as he opened the door with tense hands dressed in a white bedclothes. You were angelic. It was almost a sin to touch your skin with dubious intentions.
Your nervous eyes failed to see him motionless, toes curling in response. You didn't expect him back, you didn't expect to see him there. Aemond Targaryen was not Aegon Targaryen, he did not hunt palace maidens like a predator, nor did he make sexual passes for noble ladies. He was polite, reserved and observant.
No lady has ever dared to breach his barrier, and he himself has never dishonored any woman. Still, he was at your door at owl time with heavy breathing and an uncertain look. When you remained silent and did not invite him in, the prince's hands took his own, making a lingering thumb stroke. Your gaze widened, mouth opening the tiniest bit as he walked slowly into your chambers and closed the door.
“I don't know how I developed this feeling that tightens my chest when I think of you, but I can't pretend it doesn't affect me.” Aemond initiated. “I want to touch your face, finger your lip and take you as mine. My lady wife.”
If it were possible for your eyes to open wider, you would. You inhaled deeply, mouth opening in confusion. Aemond Targaryen was pleading with you. He was… he wanted… to marry you.
Oh.
“Do you… do you want to marry me?” Your tone was low, calm and smooth.
“Yes, my lady.”
“Would you talk to my father?”
"Yes.”
You don't know how or why the prince wants to join you in marriage. You don't even know why you got excited internally with the idea, besides beauty, blood and reputation, you don't know him. You don't know who Aemond is. But you could know.
Before he could react, your lips were on his vividly. He was handsome, young and imponent. So attractive.
“I won't have time to meet you. And if you regret it?” You whispered into his lips.
“If that happens, I will give you time to find another bridegroom to your liking. Even if I believe that will not happen.” He sealed his lips to yours, his big hands cupping your face. “Be mine, my lady.”
Yes.
“Yes, my prince. Make me yours.”
The Nutcracker
(Cross post from Ao3 here's the link)
-Chapter One- Season Greetings
Holidays were a wonderful time of year for everyone, who sang carols in the streets, and gave gifts to one another, as they spent time with their family. Abel's household was no different, a mansion living on the cross of Main Street and Circus Street. As a little boy with snow white hair in a bob-cut ran up the stairs and through the corridors, until he reached a room with a sign in cursive letters that read, 'Pomni.' Quickly rushing in, without a knock.
Light filled the room, warm colors illuminating Pomni, her brunette hair turning caramel. Tossing and turning in her sleep, grumbling, from the sound of her door, creaking open, before slamming shut. The white haired boy climbed onto her king-sized bed, jumping on it "Pomni, Pomni!" The little boy exclaimed, crawling over the maroon covers to shake his sister awake.
"What?" Pomni grumbled, as she tossed to her side, facing towards open curtains, turning her vision red.
"It's Christmas eve!" The boy excitedly cheered, still shaking the brunette so hard and fast she'd get brain damage. Pomni didn't really care for the holidays, trying to block him out, before she couldn't take it. "You know what that means?" He was so giddy about it, still bouncing on her bed, anticipating her answer.
Pomni had finally gotten up, rubbing her eyes, and stretching. "So what Bubble?" She yawned, still half asleep, not very interested in the one-sided conversation. Bubble seemed somewhat disappointed, before reiling himself up again.
"That means father's coming home!" Of course. Her first Christmas. Well the first with the Abel's at least. Pomni wasn't really a Christmas person, and with the fact that she was bouncing her from home to home who didn't see her as a family member and more of a paycheck didn't really help either.
Her new family was wealthy, well organized with a single father, Caine Abel, who took 2 orphans under his wing, to try to fake living a normal happy life for his image and maybe even fantasy of a family. At least that's how Pomni saw it.
"We can't miss his train." Bubble acted like it was the end of the world if they didn't greet him at his stop. He was always away with work, coming home only on rare occasions. Pomni had even forgotten what he looked like, what color were his eyes, or his hair. She didn't even know what he did for work. Was he a doctor, a journalist, a puppeteer? What job would have him away for so long and make so much money?
"Doesn't it still not come for a couple hours?" Pomni shot bullets through the little boy's excitement. The white-haired boy stopped his jumping, cheeks puffed out, lips in a pout.
"So?"
"Soooo, let me sleep in." The brunette deadpanned, going back to snuggling back under her covers. Hoping this would drive him off to go bother someone else.
"Buuuuut, we have to eat, get ready, and drive there." Bubble stated as a matter-of-fact, listing off the things they needed to do first. She hated when Bubble was right, often rubbing it in her face later. Getting up once she groaned as her younger adopted brother, beamed with Pomni finally coming along with his plans.
Bubble dragged her out of bed, by the arm, as the brunette nearly fell out of her bed with how hard he was pulling. "AAAHH!-" She squeaked out before shuffling Pomni out of her room, barely giving her time to wake up. Through the long corridors, covered in portraits of old people long since passed, that Pomni always found creepy, as if hundreds of eyes of smudged paintings were watching her.
Rushing down the stairs, the brunette could keep up, with this little girl's enthusiasm, nearly tripping her on several steps. "Bubble, watch out!" Pomni screeched at a halt, at a maid with a tray of breakfast clearly meant for them. This made Bubble in her mismatched socks slide forward to nearly fall face first into the maid, if it weren't for her still having hold on her older sister. The maid jumped, anticipating the young madame to slam into her.
"Sorry about that, Agatha." Pomni Quickly apologized, ripping her arm from Bubble's grasp, making him stumble forward just a bit, scratching the back of her head, a wry smile plastered on her face. Agatha seemed to settle down, taking in a sigh of relief, the tray and food still in tack.
"It's quite alright Miss Pomni." The ginger-haired maid softly smiled, before a curious expression took hold. "Pardon me for my intrusion but, what are you doing up so early?"
The brunette laughed awkwardly. "Well-"
"It's because father's coming home!" The white-haired boy jumped, while emanating with enthusiasm. Agatha giggled at Bubble's joy. "Ooo, is that breakfast?" He stood on his tippy toes to see the tray. There were two plates both having had two eggs, Sunny Side up, with stripes of bacon resembling a smile, and cut up 2 triangle cut pieces of toast slathered in butter and jam, acting as eyebrows, alongside with one holiday themed cup of inky black coffee.
Pomni didn't know much about her new younger brother, but what she did know was that Bubble was just as his name applied. A joyful, bubbly personality with a love for anything edible, sometimes not even not edible, hearing stories of when Bubble was little-er, chewing on anything like a puppy teething from servants cooing over the 9 year old, behind his back. Very-very easily distracted.
"Sure is." Agatha hummed, nodding her head. "I was about to bring it to you both. But how about we eat in the dining room?" Bubble nodded her head in agreement, while Pomni was a bit more hesitant. The dining table was long and meant for a bundle of people all lined up chairs that seemed almost cartoonist. It felt lonely sitting there, so many chairs empty, made the giant rectangular room even more lonely, nothing but the sound of chewing to keep you company.
"Can you eat with us?" Of course Bubble would ask Agatha to eat with them. She was always the most motherly of the servants, often taking care of him, like treating wounds, reading and or singing him to sleep, long before Pomni arrived, hearing about them through from the white-haired boy gushing about her; it was no wonder with no mother figure Bubble would cling to her. The maid hummed in agreement, leaning down to her as best she could without dropping the food.
The trio walked through the seemingly endless halls. She had always forgotten how big this house was. Tons of empty guest rooms, storage rooms, and other sorts of 'activity rooms'- as Caine would call them, each room decorated with a hobby in mind. There was one for music, one for sewing, even one for cooking; 'anything for you to adjust to your new life here' he said to Pomni the first day she arrived.
They arrived at the large dining room, it was imitating as ever. A long dark smoothed out wooden table that stretched out the long room, hundreds of dark coral red chairs with the same type of wood lining, small gold buttons in patterns. A giant chandelier, of jewels and tinted glass that hung above right in the middle of it. None lit candelabras spaced in a neat line. The cherry on top was the frigid air of winter making it feel more empty.
Pomni took in a breath, as soft footsteps echoed followed by the silent steps of Bubble through the room, the clatter of the plates being set down the edge of the table. Agatha gestured for her to come over, after sliding a chair open for the 9 year old and her. The brunette took a steps forward towards the chair, sitting down. She looked at her breakfast and the once smiley face of bacon slices was gone now replaced a straight face, resembling her mood at the moment.
"Where's yours?" Bubble questioned the ginger, already an egg stuffed in his mouth, yolk smudged on his chin, earning a slight giggle from the freckled woman.
She thought Bubble's concerns were sweet. "That's sweet honey, but I already ate." Agatha explained, leaving the little boy looking betrayed due to her previous saying that she'd eat with them. Licking her thumb, before wiping the runny yolk away.
Pomni envied their relationship, that they were so close; she hadn't been that close with anyone since the incident. Stirring the yolk with a fork, bursting its bubble, she really didn't feel hungry. The frown on her bacon seemed more clear. "Is something wrong?" Pomni looked up at the two side by side.
"No, just still waking up." She partially lied. It was technically true, she was still tired, but her stomach was turned upside down. As the saying would go 'fake till you make it,' Pomni took a sip of her coffee. She never did like bitter things, and mixed without sour attitude made it taste worse, but she bit her tongue and swallowed it down. Taking a bite of her toast to try and drown out the bitterness; it did help somewhat, the sweet strawberry jelly along with the smooth soft butter melted her taste buds.
It was too quiet, Agatha and Pomni noticing, while Bubble was too indulged in his food. "So what do you think Master Caine will bring this year?" She broke the silence, with a simple question. Excited the white-haired boy, trying hurrying up the pace of chewing to talk. That distracted not only Bubble but Pomni too. She assumed something exotic from across the world, or something priceless that would cost a fortune at some fancy auction. By the way of how eccentric he talked she figured it would be something definitely weird.
Forcing herself to stomach the remaining breakfast and slurping down the coffee. Pomni regretted drinking the coffee last, the harsh flavor stinging her tongue. While Agatha and Bubble talked about what he would bring back, from some more shaped plushies he'd call gloinks to red spaghetti legged and armed monkeys. She remembered seeing those 'gloinks' around everywhere, never in the same place, seemingly moving in the night, but was just Bubble pranking her, trying to scare his new sibling.
"How about we get ready for Master Caine's arrival?" The maid suggested, Bubble was already out of his chair at the idea, half way out the door. She supposed she was obligated to see him; the man she would have to call him 'father' more often until she turned 18. Walking through the entrance to the room, leaning on the frame. Agatha collected the plates and cup back on the tray, heading to the kitchen, before joining them alongside another female servant. Walking the two back through the hallways and stairways. Until the split on the second floor, Pomni's being on the fourth.
The other maid, Abigail, opened her door for Pomni. Her room was barely decorated besides from her bed, a chest at the end of it Collecting dust inside, a dresser with a mirror next to a stool on the other side of the room. A brush and some fancy well known makeup brand on top of it. 2 giant oak closets right besides the dresser filled with primary colors and various shades of different blues, reds, and yellows simple dresses, with a keyhole on the right one for some reason. Finally two side bed tables touching the top of her bed.
Pomni sat on the stool a dull navy blue satin cushion beneath her, as Abigail went through the left closet. Flipping through dresses, while Pomni tried to imagine what was the last she saw Caine. Then it clicked, he had only seen him once in the 2 months she had stayed there, when giving a personal tour of the comically large house. It felt like it took hours to explain and explore each room. The maid finally chose a beige yellow dress, sugar cookie yellow and white trimming of ruffles at the sleeves and rim at the dress.
The dark-skinned woman unbuttoned Pomni's baby blue night gown. It felt warm, fingers un-clipping the small white buttons sometimes brushing against her pale skin, before the cold hit her body being only her panties and bra. Abigail slid on the dress, falling to her knees, it felt silky smooth in the fabric. The maid tapped her chin as she thought for final touches, before she moved on with hair and makeup. Finally she got it, satin white gloves, and slip on brown shoes.
Next was her makeup, which retaliating easy. She clipped Pomni's hair back with bobby pins, before doing simple highlighter, contour, and blush that was a little too pink. Finally was her hair; which the maid couldn't much with how short it was, only able to brush through it, but still attempted to do even the smallest bun. Abigail seemed satisfied with her work, as Pomni starred in the mirror, her blue and red eyes staring back at her. Pomni was also satisfied in her look, slightly smiling to herself.
Bubble's rampaging footsteps of clacking soles, getting louder, as muffled sounds for her to 'slow down' from Agatha. Reaching around the hallway, once he saw Pomni, waving at her. Dressed in the same loafers as she had. Taupe coat blazer, mahogany pants, cuffed at his ankles, a white buttoned up undershirt, and his hair well groomed for once. "Pomni, hurry up," He called to her, seemingly not tired from running all those stairs. "Agatha said there's only an hour before father's train arrives!" He was right, even with an hour left, it was still a long while before they reached there.
"Coming!" She called, in a light jog following behind Bubble, after grabbing her dark coat, sliding it on as she followed.
. . .
The streets were full of bustling people, buying gifts, giving them, families reuniting, and just general work, not getting the day off for Christmas. Small shops, boutiques, and tall buildings squashed together, all covered in Christmas decorations. Frost caked everything, nooks and crannies stuffed with snow. The cobblestone sidewalks, full of cracks, that Bubble purposely stepped on each one, even if it slowed them down; after being the one who told them to hurry.
"Be careful." Pomni warned him, Bubble hopping from crack to crack on the icy path. Bubble didn't seem to acknowledge her though, still taking purposely footsteps on the cracks in his reach. "Are you sure we couldn't just take the car?" The brunette asked Agatha; who Bubble just insisted to come with, claiming 'she's family enough.'
"The walk isn't too far, and it's nice to get our minds healthy." Agatha's hand gripped tightly around the nine year old, also aware of the danger of him slipping. "Besides, we're already halfway there." It was true, it would just take more time to go back and get the car, and Pomni wanted to get this over with. I mean she didn't hate him by all means, she had only meant him once after all.
Pomni took in a sigh, cold air feeling her lungs, causing her to slightly shudder. She took the maid's hand tighter, so as not to get lost in the sea of people, pushing and shoving. Pomni with her short build, and being 15 could only see people's chest, muted colors of scarves, and coats. It was surprising Bubble hadn't bumped into anyone while walking, eyes trained on the ground.
They would soon come to the train station, where Pomni would reunite with temporary family. She semni lost in thought, trying to remember what Caine looked like. How fair was his skin, or how well brushed his hair was, the color of it. She didn't remember much but what she did remember was a red suit that oddly stuck out to her. Pomni thinks it was the shade of red he was wearing-being a wonderful shade of red, like burgundy but lighter, and pink more akin to pink-red.
Before she knew it, Pomni had heard the sounds of nosey trains, halting to a stop, as people got on and off. Through the vast sea of people, Bubble poking their head in every which way direction, looking for the man. But being as tall as he was, barely able to see past people's stomach, no matter how hard he tried, even getting on his tippy toes, or leaning his body away from Agatha, to the small crack of free space weren't occupying. Pomni was also curious, despite having mixed feelings.
"There's my little superstars!" A man left the train, briefcase in tow. He looked somewhat akin to the man she imagined in her head. A slim figure-almost boney like Pomni- Auburn hair, that was very messy; even though his mustache was finely brushed, covered by a black top hat with the same Pomni had remembered ribbon earlier. He was more tanner than Pomni and Bubble, but not by much. The same rose tailcoat he had worn when first meeting Pomni, with black and white accents. Black leggings that didn't seem to end, blending in with his socks. Black dress shoes, and a black bow tie. One blue eye and green eye.
He stood in a small opening, setting down his briefcase, opening his arms, anticipating an embrace. Bubble ripped out of the ginger's hand, so fast she got whiplash. "Father, Father!" He chanted, running towards him for a hug. Caine quickly scooped Bubble up, embracing him tightly. Pomni held the maid's hand tighter, another thing about him was his look, that threw her off. He looked like a crazed man in business attire, bulging eyes, a crooked toothy grin, his hair washed but the bird nests of hair didn't really help.
Bubble and his father had their moment, before the man turned her attention to Pomni, expecting for her to run up and hug him like her little brother did. She found it rude to just stare. She didn't know what to say or do. It was rude to stay silent and stare like he was some mystery of the world. But Pomni couldn't find the right words to address him, tripping over her tongue. "Hello, father." She spoke begrudgingly, with an uncertainty.
"Greetings my dear Pomni." He seemed not to acknowledge the awkwardness. Letting go of Bubble, he expected some sort of hug, even kneeling down to her level, arms open. Agatha nudged her forward, Pomni's hands were clammy, as she clenched her fists. Slowly making her way to her now father. Pomni wrapped an arm around him, forcing a smile. Thinking of what to say, it would be too impolite to just call him Caine, but she wasn't close enough to call him father.
"It's nice to see you again."
"It's nice to see you too." The silence was deafening, both embraced in each not sure really of what to do next. Caine broke the silence with a sudden springing up, giving Pomni whiplash with the sudden change of movement, nearly tearing her arm off, being wrapped around his shoulder. "Now it's been awhile, how about we take a walk around town?"
"I can't wait to tell you about everything!" Bubble enthusiastically said, emphasizing the 'everything.' His dark eyes are full of joy, you'd only get from a child. Caine patted him on his head, ruffling his once combed hair. They started walking, talking about things while Caine was away, Pomni timidly following behind.
Just great.
Plot: you're toji's daughter you decided why not train with him?
Admin notes: i decided to use chun li for inspiration cuz she's a baddie
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Toji was a highly skilled fighter, known for his strength and precision in battle. He had trained for years in various martial arts and had passed on his knowledge to his two children, Y/N and her younger brother, Ryu. Despite being a single father, Toji made sure to spend quality time with his children and teach them the ways of combat.
Y/N had always been passionate about martial arts and had a natural talent for it. She had inherited her father's strength and determination, and Toji saw great potential in her. He had always trained her extensively and had high hopes for her in the future.
One sunny afternoon, Toji took Y/N out for some intense training. They headed to a secluded spot in the forest, away from prying eyes. As they arrived, Toji took a deep breath and looked at his daughter with pride and excitement.
'Today, we're going to take your training to the next level,' he declared, his eyes shining with determination.
Y/N's heart raced with excitement as she followed her father's lead to a large clearing in the forest. The atmosphere was tense, and Y/N knew that this training session was going to push her limits.
Toji signaled for Y/N to get into her fighting stance, and without hesitation, she did. He instructed her to use all her techniques and not hold back. Y/N nodded and mentally prepared herself for the intense training that was about to follow.
Toji, despite being older, was still a formidable opponent. His quick reflexes and powerful punches were enough to send anyone to the ground. Y/N knew she had to be alert and use all her skills to keep up with her father.
The two engaged in a fierce fist fight, their movements mirroring one another as they dodged and blocked each other's attacks. Y/N was amazed at how fast her father's reflexes were, and she made a mental note to work on her speed.
As they continued to spar, Y/N noticed that her father seemed impressed by her fighting skills. She could see a glimmer of pride in his eyes, and that fueled her even more. She pushed herself to her limits, trying out new techniques, and putting all her strength into each punch.
Toji was impressed by how quickly Y/N had grown in her training. She was fast, agile, and had remarkable strength. She was a natural fighter, and Toji could see the potential for her to become even stronger.
Their training session lasted for over two hours, and by the end, both were drenched in sweat. Y/N collapsed to the ground, panting and exhausted but with a big smile on her face.
Toji walked over to her and offered a hand to help her up, a proud smile on his face. 'You did incredibly well today, Y/N. I'm impressed,' he said, his tone filled with admiration.
Y/N beamed with pride, knowing that she had made her father proud. She had always looked up to him and was grateful for his guidance in her training.
The two made their way home, walking through the forest as the sun began to set. As they walked, Toji reflected on the day's training session. He was amazed at how far his daughter had come and couldn't help but feel proud of her.
He knew that with dedication and hard work, Y/N could become an incredible fighter. And he was determined to continue training her to reach her full potential.
From that day on, Toji and Y/N's bond as father and daughter grew even stronger. They shared a mutual respect and admiration for each other, and their training sessions became a regular occurrence. Y/N continued to improve under her father's guidance, and Toji couldn't be happier.
Toji had not only trained his daughter in the art of fighting, but he had also instilled in her the values of discipline, hard work, and determination. And with those values, Y/N had become a force to be reckoned with in the world of combat.
As they stood on the battlefield, ready to take on their next opponent, Toji couldn't help but smile at the thought of how far his daughter had come. He had always believed in her, and she had not disappointed him.
Together, they fought with everything they had, and their synchronized movements and unwavering strength and determination impressed everyone who witnessed it.
Toji knew that no matter what challenges they faced, his daughter would always have his back, and he would always be proud of her. And that was all he could ask for as a father.
────────────
tessa burns grew up around some of the greats in nova scotia, canada. aka, sid the kid, brad marchand, andrew cogliano and ryan graves to name a few. her older brothers played hockey ofcourse and so she was always around the rink at all hours. always had a chirp or two to throw out as she left the arena with them. despite growing up in nova scotia, she never met nathan mackinnon until they both went to shattuck st marys for highschool and hockey. they instantly connected, over hockey, nova scotia, bad breakups and the undying need to be the best. though, he was more hard core than she ever was; in her defense.
tessa was never alone growing up, despite have four brothers before her. she had her best friend ryan graves, grew up right down the block. always had a bad joke, always had a smart and witty comment to make. one that would rock you to your core. she also had her best friend liliana who was a blonde goddess. a 5'8 blonde, taller goddess. one that all the guys went after. one that swore she gave up toronto university just so they could both go to univeristy of british columbia. one that guilt tripped her left and right, but she was liliana. ofcourse, she couldn't 'drop' her. that was her girl, and there was no way she could do that to her closest confidant besides ryan. ryan saw how shitty liliana treated her, how liliana made sure she was the center of the attention. always. ryan always knew about tessa having the huge crush and ever lasting love for nathan, though he was lilianas. she had been for the past three years. so ryan watched as tessa looked on from the bench, what else could she do? so she wallowed in her own guilt, pity and anger of not saying anything before to nate. though it was too late, they were to bed wed in the middle of august before they would flee to california for a week then back to denver.
°• ♔ •°
tessa walked into the restaurant and her eyes went wide, taking in the 'surprise' 28th birthday part; liliana had thrown for her. it was june 24th right after the seaosn had ended, but on without a cup. not this year. tessa smiled fakely as lili cheered and wrapped her arms around her best friend, sister even. "honeybug happy birthday!" she screamed, using an old childhood nickname that should have never see the light of day; even when she was 6. "thanks lili." she responded cooly, hugging her friend back. some of her closest friends were here, well lili's too. wherever tessa went, lili did too and vice versa. she smiled at her brothers who came up, wrapping her in a family hug. "hi guys.." she smiled, one that didn't reach her eyes. "hey tess, mom and dad say sorry for not being here." the oldest, billy explained and she nodded. british columbia was more importnant it seemed.
"AYYYYY KIDDO!!" she heard the ever popular and familiar voice of brad marchand. she turned and grinned at the brother like man and hugged him. then she hugged his wife charlotte, "thankyou guys for coming!" she beamed, holding onto her left arm. "ofcourse! we wouldn't miss it for the world hun." his wife smiled and tessa nodded. "hey bobby orr!" she heard the captains voice from behind her, and tessa turned. she smiled widely for sidney, and hugged him. "hi sid." she mused, pulling away. "got you your fav." he mused, and handed her a cherry vodka. she smiled, thanking him. "where the hell is nate?" she heard him mutter under his breathe. she felt her heart rate pick up, covering it up with a small smile. "do you know where ryan is?" she questioned and speak of the devil, he walked up behind sid. he clasped a hand on sid's shoulder and they did a bro hug before sid sauntered off to find his best friend.
"nice surprise face." he smirked leaning in and she rolled her eyes. "dont tell her please!" she begged her best friend, brother even. he nodded smiling, "ofcourse not. that would ruin her, i think." he trailed off as they caught her making a scene. she saw nate behind her, smiling up at her as she said a joke and laughed loudly. oh, the ever enigma stealing the spotlight once again. "i don't think she's capable of NOT having the attention on her..even if it's your birthday. by the way, happy birthday sis." he smirked and she gave him a wink. "oh thankyou, thought you wouldn't say it for a sec." she grinned and he stuck out his tongue. "uh huh." he sighed, sipping his whiskey and looking back at lili. she rubbed her temple, before looking around. "love how its mainly her frineds." she muttered, feeling angry at herself. again, another birthday and she had no new friends. and everyyear, lili had more and more.
"hey, stop. dont feel bad for yourself. she's a lot to deal with." he mused, almost as if it was an insult. but tessa, knew exactly what he meant. "honeybug!" she heard the very immature nickname and rolled her eyes which ryan caught; as she turned around with a fake smile. "what?" she asked, with a fake giggle as lili rushed up to her with a tall guy. "i want you to meet somebody!" she grinned, pulling her towards the guy. "ej this is tessa. tessa this is erik johnson or ej as we call him." she smiled, as if she was cupid herself. "birthday gal!" he said loudly, causing lili to laugh loudly once again as he pulled tessa in for a bear hug. "ah hi." she said, unsure of what to do. she stood there, frozen. felt like she had been violted in a way, but it wasn't that deep she reminded herself. "you guys are so cute together!" was all lili said before waltzing off to give nate a kiss.
tessa sighed, looking around, trying to not ficate on ej himself. the very tall, and muscular man in front her of. with 3 front teeth missing, like a little kid. "how'd you lose your teeth?" she asked randomly and he laughed a hearty laugh. he explained in a unnceccesary 10 minute story before they were interrupted by nathan. she gave him a thankful smile that he could decode, and nodded. "i think cale is in the back over there." nate said through gritted teeth. ej nodded, giving the birthday gal a kiss on her cheek to which she instantly wiped off. ej left, and left a chuckling nate in his path. "you have a great poker face burnsy." he mused, sipping his beer. she looked at him, acting as if she didn't. he met her eye, before she could spit out words. he gave her a charming smile and laughed. "i would never tell lili." he joked, and tessa sighed looking down at her almost empty drink. "tess-" nate said but she cut him off. "its all good. im gonna go find ryan." she said without looking at him as she walked past him, and away.
minutes later, lili yelled over on the microphone to get her cute butt up there. "honeybug, baby, get your cute butt up here!" she joked, causing everybody to laugh. nate searched for her, and she appeared after ryan pushed her to the front. "dont keep cruelle waiting." he muttered for only her to hear. she sighed as lili smiled at her, dotingly. "honeybug. happy birthday. so thankful for you every day." she smiled, an erupture of 'aws' filled the room. tessa blushed, "tessa gosh, where do i begin?" she said, almost acting. she looked up at the ceiling, pretending to wipe away any tears. "phew, my botox is really holding up.." she trailed off joking causing some uncomfortable and comfortable laughter to erupt. ryan from next to her, hit her shoulder and she laughed.
"tessa, tess, burnsy honeybug, my platonic soulmate..gosh we've been through it all! from kindergarton when i pushed ryan down the slide for cutting us off on the playground.." she began as the photos began on the slideshow, showing the two and then the trio of chaos. "god, we were the trio of chaos. tessa, ryan and i. i don't know how ryan put up with us, to be honest. or how he still does." she joked. "she was with me through my first breakup in 6th grade..i was a mess! let me tell you. we watched the holiday and the he's just not that into you SO many times with lots of popcorn, oreos and icecream." she explained, showing some photos of their teenage years. "heres us at prom. ryan said 'fuck it' im taking you to prom honeybug. awe SO cute!" she said doing a little hop. "then miss burnsy went off to shattuck, fucking shattuck oh my god. if i have to hear about one more hockey player that to shattucks im gonna pull my hair out. o.m.g." she said laughing along with everybody else. "then fucking gravy went off to shattucks and so i was left alone." she began, something she never got over. something she held over them, and still guilt tripped them about. "i was not a hockey player, thankgod! i was all about makeup and clothes and cheerleading. and they weren't there to witness me win state but i witnessed them play for team canada. what assholes." lili had the audience in the palm of her hands. they were eating this up. though ryan, sid, her brothers and nate all cringed throughout.
"but anywho, after i notably declined ivy league university of toronto to go to university of BC with my honeybug..ryan went to some place called denver." she added the last part with everybody hollering now. though it wasn't a joke really, she was purely an idiot. “then we graduated, and then it was really real that we were gonna be seperated for real this time. miss barnsy got into john marshall law school in chicago, and i was incredibly sad when i started working in toronto. but only 512 miles away from one another." she paused, waving a small wave. "and after a year into living into chicago, you introduced me to the absolute love of my life." she pasued, blowing a kiss to nate. he smiled shyly, and looked down embarrassed a tad bit. "thanks for hiding him for so long hun." she dazzled the crowd. "and now were getting married, thanks to you!" she smiled widely. "bubba as much as i love you, tessa girl has been my one constant my whole life."
she turned towards tessa now, ""you're the the sister i've never had, you're sometimes the mother i often need, the reason why i can stumble so fearlessly into adventure is because she's always there. she's always there. i love you tessa. my forever honeybug." she beamed, and the crowd clapped. "bubba!" she said, out of the microphone and made her way towards nate. she wrapped his arms around the girl and kissed her head. tessa watched from afar, and ryan nudged her to look away. "lets get you another drink..after that." sid mused, pulling her towards the bar.
later on in the evening, it was now ryan, nate, lili and tessa left. ryan was holding lili as they all waited outside the restaurant now on the almost desolate street. "oh fuck- i forgot my bag!" lili said slurrely. nate and tessas head perked up and both went to say something, "take her to the hotel. we will be there soon." nate said before tessa could say for him to go back with her. the duo nodded and the other two made there way back inside. "was it the vintage chanel?" nate questioned and tessa laughed, a true and real hearty laugh. "nathan...aren't you the one who got it for her?" she said cocking an eyebrow as she held it up. nate sighed a relief, snatchingit from her. they looked at one another, and nate saw something twinkle. "lets get one more drink." he mused, pulling her down the street to the bar next door.
one drink turned into four more, and somehow someway; though they knew how it happened. they ended up in her small apartment there in toronto. for the first time in their entire relationships, they had acted on that part of their feelings. though, they thought it was more the alcohol than anything.
ryan, sid, ej, their other friend maria, liliana and tessa found themselves in st john on the coast of newfoundland. the five of them walked into the lake house, that they were staying at for the next week. nate and lili walked hand in hand, lili doting on him that made ryan want to vomit. "bubba...please?" she asked with puppy eyes, begging him to take her shopping on the mainland. he sighed, instantly giving into her. lili clapped her hands together, and ej high fived her for some odd reason. "you go girl!" he hummed, sitting down in the living room sofa and propping his feet on the table. tessa stopped unable to move anymore, because of ej's hockey bag and suitcase that was in the way. she gave him a scowl, nobody noticing but ryan ofcourse. "ej..bags please." ryan spoke up and ej hopped up, muttering an apology. "its ok." she smiled, and simply stated. tessa made her way up the stairs, as ryan went towards the first floor room. she got to the second floor, and nate instantly grabbed her bags. "oh thanks." she hummed, following him to the bedroom next to theirs. "thanks." she smiled, and he nodded. very unsure of what to do. things were kinda awkward after they slept together, but she made him forget about it. made him, and he promised her. "yeah. no prob." he responded, as she sat down on the bed. his eyes flicked to her's from the doorway before lili came up and smiled.
"shopping?" she grinned, and then motioned towards nate with her eyes. tessa shook her head no, "im gonna take a nap." she said cooly and the two nodded. lili pulled nate away before he could say bye. tessa sighed, laying down on her back. "hey barnsy, wanna come swimming?" she heard the voice of ej and she perched herself onto her elbows. he took in her stance, and angle she saw him check her out. she shivered and sat up all the way. "im okay. thanks though." she responded and he nodded, giving her a toothy smile before he ran off. she shut her door, silently cursing herself. this was going to be a long trip.
°• ♔ •°
the following day, the group decided they were going to play volleyball. just unsure when. before they made there way to the beach, ryan pulled tessa into her bedroom. "spill." he demanded crossing his arms as she sat on the bed. she shrugged, "tell you what?" she asked. he gave her a blank stare, "i know what youre hiding honeybug." he stated and she gritted her teeth. "nothing im hiding nothing." she spat, standing up and walked over towards the double window french doors to the balcony. she instantly found nate's broad shoulders, strong back and dirty blonde hair of his. she stared at him, as lili spoke to him from the pool with ej. ej and her were splashing one another now, and she could tell that nate wanted to be anywhere but there. "that. you are hiding that, tessa." ryan said from behind her, freaking her out. she must of timed out, watching him. she shook her head, looking out towards the beach now. "no its true. i could tell at breakfast. im not an idiot." he said, checking his hip with hers. "well i could say the same about you and maria..." she mused coyly, before giggling as she walked out of the room. "oh god no, if i ever have to be at the same table especially at their wedding, im killing them before they leave for cali." ryan mused making tessa laugh even more. "you two totally slept together!" he whispered yelled and she whipped around to face him. "oh thats gold." he said chuckling. she shook her head as he nodded hers.
"im not an idiot, i know you did. now it makes sense." he said as a wave of realization washed over him. as he placed his hands behind his head, laying down on her bed he asked, "you totally did..more than once?" he asked like a child, he couldn't contain his excitement. she combed back her hair, trying to calm herself down. "oh my god, twice?" he asked, getting excited more. she looked at him through the bedroom mirror and he started to laugh. "oh my god." he said abruptly stopping, "lili, oh my god, she's gonna flip." he said seriously before laughing. "its not funny!" she said pulling a pillow towards her from the bed and hitting him. "this is rich barnsy!!!! you have to say something to nate, i see it eating you two up." he exclaimed and she shook her head, a wave of guilt and sadness washed over her pale face. "no, its already been decided that we aren't to speak of it ever again." she stated before walking out.
breakfast.
tessa sat down next to nate by accident, as she sat their reading the newspaper. he met her eyes, over the newspaper, when she looked at him. she whisked her eyesight away and focused on transporting the fruit to her plate. "listen..tess. we need to talk-" she cut him off with a glare. "no, we do not. we already have. we can't hurt lili more than we already have." she hurriedly said. he swallowed back what he was going to say, and nodded. "never. again." she said through gritted teeth before meeting his eyes. god, those blue eyes that transported her back to shattucks. god, how she loved them.. ej bolted outside with coffee, and threw down a iced coffee for the brunette. a black coffee for nate. "oh yay coffee's here!" lili said walking out with pancakes. ej sat across next to lili who sat across from tessa. tessa swallowed, as she could feel the intense stare ej was giving her. nate coughed, breaking ej's concentration and ej looked away. maria sat down next to ej and he smiled at her. "morning." he smirked and maria gave him a polite smile, before noticebly scooting her chair a few inches away. ryan finally walked out and sat down next to tessa. "gravy finally arrives, nice. we can begin." lili said in her fake polite voice, clearly annoyed with ryan. per usual. "sorry princess, forgot the world and time revolved around you. what a keeper nate." raya huffed, and lili squinted at him while nate rubbed his eyes.
“okay gravy, atleast i have some sort of schedule going. arent you a hockey player? it looks like you haven't done anything to combat your croissants and poutine eating." she spat, (trigger warning) softly grabbing her stomach. he flipped her off, causing ej to laugh loudly. nate looked at him with a intense stare, one tessa hadn't seen for a few years. it was almost, like his old self had flared for a hot second. before it cooled. "atleast i dont spend somebody else's hard earned money." ryan muttered, and lili picked that up. "well, atleast he has somebody to spend it on. dont ya honey?" she smiled a dazziling smile, placing a arm over nate's shoulder and kissing him. ryan pointed a finger in his mouth and faked gagged causing tessa to stifle a laugh. "besides, i always tell nate to help out tessa but she always says no." lili added, sipping her coffee. tessa set down her fork, "how many times do i have to tell you that i dont want or need his money." she explained once again. "i am comfortable, i dont need a lot. besides-" lili cut her off, "youre due for a promotion anyways!" she clasped her hands together and tessa shook her head.
"no, not what i was gonna say but thats true. i like the life i live, and i love the work i do lili. i dont need anybody's money, especially not his." she defended and they all sat up with the 'not his' part. ryan took in the quick look nate and tessa shared, one without words but words. "what i mean is that, he's my friend, that just feels weird." she added and they nodded. "besides, more for me!" lili hummed, kissing nate again. tessa picked up her fork and took a strong bite of her strawberry.
After.
the group were outside on the beach, hitting the volleyball to warm up. it was ej and tessa, lili and nate. while ryan and maria sat out. "ouuu! we should play a game!" lili beamed with mimosa in her hand. "yes!" ej said loudly, pointing at her. "how about everytime we get a point, one of us on the winning point tells a secret!" lili said with a grin, causing ej to grin wickledly and laugh. "no i dont-" "lets not -" nate and tessa said at the same time. "oh come on! itll be fun!" lili said pouting. "yeah, itll be fun!" ryan added, and tessa glared at him. "ej im in, youre out." ryan said and ej nodded, as they switched positions. "ryan!" she whispered yelled at him, and he smirked. "it has to come out eventually babe." he smiled and placed a quick kiss on her head. nate looked over, and saw what was going on. he knew ryan knew, even without ryan confirming.
“ry!" she said before lili hit the ball to him, him to nate and back to ryan. that happend over and over. ryan won the never ending sequence and chuckled, "oh dont i have a secret!!" he huffed, "tell it tell it!" ej said like a 5 year old. "dont i have a secret." he laughed, and tessa begged him with a pleading look. "no its fine, we don't need to play." nate said trying to get him to not say anyhting. "no this has to be said." ryan exclaimed and lili looked on with excitment, "yes please tell!" she beamed sipping more of her mimosa. "tessa- tessa and-" but he was cut off, as she made he way towards ej - as a distraction - and kissed him. she kissd him hard, pulling him in by his thin shirt. nate and ryan looked on with confusion while lili shrieked with excitemnt. "AHHHH! im cupid!!" she cheered as tessa pulled apart, and walked off. ryan and nate looked at tessa as she stomped away.
tessa continued walking down the beach for 20 minutes more, trying desperately to stop crying. nothing was working. she sniffled, as she sat down and wrapped her arms around her knees. what the fuck did she just do, she thought. ryan made his way over, after the rest of the group went back to the house. "youre an ass." she said boldly, standing up and walking past him. without allowing him to get a word in. "tes-" she cut him off. "how dare you jeoporadize my whole relationship with them? huh?! how you made me kiss ej!" she screamed at him. "i made you kiss him? that was all your doing hun. not mine. youre too scared to admit your true feelings for nate, im not an idiot. you love him. everything makes fucking sense. ever since i first met him when i visited you in minnesota, i saw the way you looked at him and how he looked at you. you fucking fool. you let her snatch him away. you let her win." he screamed.
"she wins everything! she has won everything that has come her way! she gets the guy she gets the house, the unending bank account, her fucking parents are god sends, she got into utoronto with a lower gpa then me!!!! liliana wins everything, that is just how it goes. she wins everything." she whispered the last part, as she fell apart. ryan walked up to her, but she pushed him away. "no." she sniffled as she paused, "dont. just dont. youve done enough." she sighed and walked back up to the house. already packed and ready to go.
the following evening the group was down at a local pub, taking in the drinks and food. tessa sipped her cocktail as maria came up. "ryan will never like me, right?" she stated and tessa did a double take at her. maria already knew, "im sorry maria. he doesn't like you that way and probably wont ever." she said softly. maria nodded, " its fine." maria responded before walking off. that was how it will be with nate, tessa thought. she looked in the distance and saw nate and lili bickering about something, before she walked off to dance with ej. nate rolled his eyes and turned around to the bar and met tessa's stare. she swallowed, grabbing her bag and walking out. she walked outside to the rain, and she felt her arm being grabbed. "tessa dont go!" nate pleaded. she shook her head, as she was being drenched.
“then leave her. leave her, and be-" he cut her off. "be with you? i cant, tess. i just cant." he stated and she nodded. "becasue it wouldnt look good, huh? im not exactly a trophy wife and im fine with that. but....but atleast ill be happy. at some point." she mused, and turned around. "im sorry tess. i really am." he stated and she stopped middway. she turned around and hurried towards him. "i should of gone back for you." she began, "i should if let you walk me home that night in denver. i should have let you done a lot of things but i was scared. i was nervous. i was scared into thinking that you could possibly like me." she exclaimed. "i should have never told you to stay with her, then maybe we wouldn't be in this situation now." she stated, finishing her tangent. he shook his head, "you were always enough tess. always, there wasn't a moment where i thought otherwise." he began and she felt a beacon of hope flicker through her. "but im with her now." he stated and she felt her heart break even more. she sighed, he took in all her tears. she shook her head, "youre a coward, nathan. a coward." she stated promptly. "but ill be happy, ill be incredibly happy without you." she stated, before walking off. nate watched as she did, the rain coming down even harder which coincided with her mood. nate really watched as the love of his life walked away for him, for good.
there was a knock at her apartment door around 2pm. she closed her book and walked towards it, opening it to nathan. she tried to close it, but he quickly stopped it. "what nate?" she demanded, placing a hand on her hip. she shook her head when he said nothing, "we broke up. i - i thought about what you said and it's true. i won't be happy with her, how i'd be happy with you." he began and she shook her head sniffiling. "no." she said very warily, her voice cracking. she saw the pleading on her face, and opened her door further to let him in. "i should have never let you walk home that night you introduced us tess. i know that, ive known that but i was too scared to break it off and see what people that follow me would say. you were right, i am a coward. ok? and im sorry that it took me over 10 years to figure it out. im sorry tess, there isn't anybody i'd ever want to be with but you. and then we, and then we slept together and i knew i was doomed. i knew her's and i's relationship was doomed." he finished and she looked at the ground. she wiped her tears, looking back up at him. "i want you, always and forever." he stated, with much emotion. "i - im sorry." she started, "i just dont know. she's my bestfriend." she exclaimed. "i see the way she treats you t." he stated, using a barely used nickname from him. one that dated back to a drunken state moment in highschool.
“i want to, trust me." she sighed and was about to say something else but somebody knocked at her door. "tessa honeybug!!!" they both heard from her door, and she pushed him to go hide. "go go!" she whispered and he disapeared. she opened the door and lili instantly walked in. "i broke up with him!" she stated, and tessa acted surprise. "really?" she questioned and lili nodded sitting down. "i uh, i knew he wasn't the one. after.." she trailed off, unsure how to tell her best friend that she'd been sneaking off with somebody.
"what changed?" tessa asked, nervously. "i met somebody!" she squeled, not bothering to contain her excitement. "i mean, more then met." she added, "well i knew this person, for awhile." she stated. "who?" tessa whispered. "ej." she mouthed. "ej!" she said excitedly. the fuck? "the toothless big foot?" tessa quipped. lili rolled her eyes, "yes him. and i know!" she said. "thats nathan's teammate! lil!" tessa said getting defensive of him. "i know i know but nothing happened until we went to st johns. thats it. nothing before." lili defended. tessa began to pace, "and im in love with him, and i want to be with him." lili stated standing up and beginning to walk out. "i know it'll take you a bit to come around, but please don't tell nate yet. we want to do it together."she said before pausing at the door. tessa's mouth was still open in shock, "oh and dont feel guilty about the kiss. it was humerous." she smirked before walking out. as soon as she did, tessa went to look for nate. somebody knocked on the door again and she opened it to lili. "is that nate's jacket?" she asked, smirking. "wait what? oh- he left it in my car when we got back into toronto." she lied but lili didn't buy it. "no, no. thats not true." she stated, before pushing the door open. "nate! i know youre in here, nate!" she yelled, as tessa shut the door. nate walked out into the living room.
"you asshole!" "my teammate?!" they yelled at one another, "my best friend!!!!" lili threw back at him. "my. teammate." he slithered back. "how could you?" lili, turned towards tessa. "no- no dont go after tess. go after me. she didn't initiate it." lili held her hand up, "stop, dont speak for her." lili spat. lili shook her head at nate, "you know, i hope youre both happy together. i really do." was all lili said before walking out.
"nate-" tessa said but nate shook his head, grabbed his coat and walked out.
tessa mouthed "im sorry" to ryan and he flipped over his card that had her name on it, "me too." and she hugged him. tessa had just flown from toronto to newark to visit ryan. she hadn't seen or talked to him since june and it was now middle of october, hockey season. they drove back to his condo, and the two put her stuff in the guest room. a little while later she walked out into the kitchen and sat down at the counter, as he cooked dinner. "whats for dinner?" she questioned in french. he smiled a toothy smile, "fettuince alfredo." he mused back in french. tessa nodded, grabbing the water bottle he set down on the counter. "what are you doing here?" he asked leaning against it, trying to read her expression. she sighed, "well you know about lili and ej. well nathan was there and lili heard and then he heard her and then when i tried to talk to him, he walked out." she said placing her face in her hands. he saw the stress, anxiety and never faultering love with nate. "have you talked since then?" he asked and she shook her head, "nor lili?" and she shook her head. "im alone." she said before sobbing. he instantly came over and pulled her in for a hug. "shh." he whispered over and over again, trying to comfort her. "youve got me." he said kissing her head. she sniffled, and pulled away. "youve always had me, no matter what." he explained some more, trying to get her to understand.
she looked at him, "always will. and-" he paused laughing nervously. "this is shitty timing but i dont care. ive always been there watching you from the bench, watching lili have something that you didn't. and that hurt me, because i was there the whole time but-" she cut him off, "i never noticed because i wanted him." she finished and he nodded. "im in love with you, and i have been since we were kids." he added and she felt a whiplash of memories hit her. she went through the big and little moments with him, putting the pieces together. he always chose her over lili, and that's why he got so upset with her in st john. "ry-" he cut her off, putting his hands up in innocence. "i know, i know." he said biting the inside of his cheek. "i know ill never be nate. ill never be nate the great. even before, i knew i was never good enough." was all he said before moving back to the stove. tessa sat there and shut her eyes, feeling her emotions consumer her. but they didn't. ryan's phone started to blast, and he looked a the id and saw nate. he rolled his eyes, picking it up.
“hey nate." he stated, and tessa perked up. ryan looked at tessa, "yeah she's actually here. she came to visit." ryan stated with not emotion on his face. "for you, tessa girl." he said locking his phone. "look's like it's time for you to fly to denver...in two hours."
1 year skip.
tessa walked with nate's dry cleaning in her hand as she walked through downtown denver. it was now october, one of the last warm days, and tessa was spending it in the city; working. after everything went down, lili and ej got together as well as nate and tessa. tessa moved in as lili moved out and in with ej. tessa was walking down the street going towards where nate said he'd be for them to drive home together, after she spent the day in the city. she walked down mainstreet and saw a familiar blonde walk past. the both of them paused instantly, turning around to face one another. lili sized tessa up and tessa just smiled. "you look good." tessa said, ever the people pleaser. ever the lili pleaser. lili pushed some hair behind her shoulder and smiled. despite them being in denver, and having their boyfriends be teammates, they stayed away from one another. they didnt talk, and tessa honestly had more friends outside of the wags group. she was only friends with tracy, cales gf and andrew coglianos wife. she was fine with that. nate and ej moved on, but still kept a distance. lili smiled, tilting her head just a bit. "oh." was all she said, before realizing that tessa saw it. "i hope you two are happy." was all lili stated, nodding towards tessa's engagment ring. the two got engaged over the summer right before they came out to denver. tessa smiled with a somewhat of a glow radiating from her, "we are. i am." was all she said. lili nodded, "are you two?" tessa questioned. lili nodded, "yes. we uh, we eloped this summer." she smiled referencing her small and simple ring. so unlike lili, tessa thought. "i know what youre thinking. but i love it. ej seems like a lot and he is in a way, but he's truly simple. i wish; i hope that someday you and nate can see that and hopefully come around. or atleast nate." lili responded and tessa nodded. "me too." tessa smiled, before turning around and continued to walk down main street to the square, where nate was waiting.
nate saw tessa's midlength wavy hair before he saw the rest of her. she was in her usual workday outfit, he pixie black pants clinging to her curves and her white boyfriend shirt untucked. she beamed as soon as she saw him, and he mirrored her. "hi." he mused, wrapping an arm around her back and pecking her. "hi." she said back, as he took the dry cleaning from her along with her work bag, and took her hand in the other. "ready for dinner?" he questioned and she nodded, heels clipping the sidewalk as they went to meet sid who was in the city for a game. where they'd also be asking him if he wanted to be Nate’s best man.
tessa saw her life with nate, she always had despite lili. despite the years spent on the bench, she'd never change it because now she had him. and he had her. she regularly thinks about their first meeting as they plan their wedding, both remembering clearly the outfit she had on. a blue dress. something borrowed from the very beginning.
