This is what Caitlyn normally looks like when she's aiming her gun
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now here's what she looks like aiming at Jinx in s2e3
Tumblr media
She is incredibly distorted. She looks unhinged (because she is). Not only is her eye enlarged, it's also segmented into pieces, fractured. It's illustrating her mental state. And it's so notably different from all the other times we've seen her take aim.
For all the characters in Arcane, their weapons are part of their personalities. Caitlyn being a sniper is an illustrtion of her clear-sightedness. She notices details, she's deductive, she can use reason to figure things out.
In this shot, that's all gone. Her vision, normally so clear, is all fucked up. Not only is she in a bad state emotionally, she's also not processing things rationally.
I think it's a really cool shot that makes great use not only of the props in the scene, but also of visual language that the show has built up with Caitlyn.

Enid: Not hugging is kind of our thing.
Bianca: Uh. But aren’t you two…?
Bianca: *gestures between Enid and Wednesday, who were just in the midst of a textbook hug*
Wednesday: You are mistaken, Barclay. This is clearly a training session. Enid wishes to learn how to manually inflict thoracic trauma.
Bianca: 🤨
Enid: 🤫
Bianca: Thoracic trauma, huh?
Wednesday: Yes, with the goal of inducing grievous injury. A thoracic compression fracture. Cardiac or pulmonary contusions. Or, if we’re lucky, flail chest.
Bianca: Flail chest?
Wednesday: A life threatening medical condition where multiple adjacent ribs are broken in numerous locations—
Wednesday: —freeing a segment of chest wall to move on its own, so it may wreak further damage.
Bianca: 😨
Bianca: That’s… That’s so—
Enid: *cuts in* So freaking awesome, isn’t it? That’s like the dream!
Bianca: 😒
Enid: 😅
Wednesday: Yes, well. If only your enthusiasm translated to aptitude. Even after dozens of such lessons, you’ve yet to fracture a single of my ribs.
Enid: *theatrical pout* I’m like so sorry that I’m not very good at this. But practice makes perfect, right?
Wednesday: Well said. Now if you are quite done interrupting, Barclay… *turns back to Enid*
Bianca: 🙄
Wednesday: Enid, imagine that you are Death, seeking to crush my blackened heart in your cold, implacable, sinfully well-muscled embrace.
Enid: *nods with anticipation determination* Got it. I am Death, straight up.
Wednesday: *holds her arms out* You may proceed.
Enid: *gleefully hugs Wednesday* 🥰
Wednesday: *enjoys every moment suffers it for purely educational reasons* 😑
Bianca: *just suffers, straight up* 🫩

🔴 Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine:
The occupation bears full responsibility for the chaos.
We warn against exploiting our people’s suffering and call for the formation of popular guard committees to protect the home front.
In light of the catastrophic circumstances afflicting our people in the Gaza Strip—brought about by the intensifying zionist war of genocide, the siege, and deliberate starvation, and the resulting dire humanitarian, economic, and security fallout—the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine warns of the dangerous rise in disorder, lawlessness, attacks on property, and intimidation of citizens across the Strip. These behaviors are inseparable from the zionist scheme to dismantle our unity, fracture our national and social cohesion, and plunge our internal arena into chaos and division in a desperate attempt to break our steadfastness and will.
While the Front condemns these phenomena in the strongest terms, it places full responsibility on the zionist occupation, which has created this tragic reality through bombing, destruction, a systematic policy of siege and starvation, and its ongoing targeting of civilians, institutions, and security forces—all in an overt bid to undermine the home front and erode our people’s resilience.
The Front reiterates its full support for Gaza’s security forces in pursuing outlaws and collaborators with the occupation and condemns the zionist targeting of police personnel. It calls for resolute action against these criminals through the united efforts of all segments of our people.
Accordingly, the PFLP calls for the establishment of popular guard committees throughout the Strip—drawing on national and social bodies, community figures, and youth—to safeguard public and private property, relief and service institutions, reinforce societal security, foil any attempts to foment chaos or internal strife, and confront infiltration by occupation agents or criminals.
The Front highly appreciates the stance of patriotic Palestinian families who have honorably opposed such disorder, rejected any conduct that threatens communal security and civil peace, and expressed full readiness to cooperate with the relevant authorities to protect internal stability. This popular consciousness is the true safety valve for our unity.
At the same time, the PFLP warns that some large merchants, influential figures, and businesspeople are exploiting the situation for personal gain—hoarding basic goods, hiking prices, and profiteering from money transfers at exorbitant rates. Such practices are no less dangerous than security chaos; they represent another face of exploitation and deepen citizens’ suffering. The Front therefore demands strict measures to hold anyone proven to be manipulating people’s livelihoods to account.
The present moment, with all its challenges, requires every force, sector, and component of our people to rise to the level of national responsibility and close ranks against these conspiracies. Protecting the home front, strengthening social solidarity, and standing with the afflicted and marginalized are national and moral duties—the first line of defense for our people.
The Front also stresses that what is unfolding in Gaza does not absolve the Arab nation of its responsibilities; rather, it compels it to meet its pan-Arab and humanitarian obligations toward our besieged people, to act swiftly to break the blockade, halt the massacres, and provide tangible support in the face of this open genocide backed by the United States and the West.
Glory to our resistant people and to our righteous martyrs.
Shame and disgrace to all who serve the occupation or profit from our people’s pain.
Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine

The thing that haunted me through out severance is that there is no happy ending. There is no way to resolve this amicably somebody will always have to lose. Innies and Outies are different people but they share the same body there is no version of this story where one of them doesn’t lose it.
Mark is a person who has lived a life, he has a wife and a sister and a niece people in the real world he is attached too and he can’t give that up. But Mark S also has a life he has helly and he has his friends and he has the 2 years he spent alive and being a person and it’s just borderline wrong to act like it doesn’t matter.
And Mark S was right becoming unsevered won’t fix that Mark has lived so much longer than he has and sure he will have Mark S.’s memories but he won’t be Mark S not the way that Mark S will be consumed by Mark. Plus hes right Helena definelty won’t do it so what is the point?
And then what about Gemma? What about Miss Casey and all the other Innie Gemma’s and the torture that is all they have ever know? Those small increments of time they get to have, they get to exist? What about them? Aren’t they deserving of some kind of life too some kind of freedom? How?
Mark and all the other Outies came here to run away from something to forget for a couple of hours and in doing so they created a whole new person that didn’t ask to be here and that has absolutely no agency over their own life, no control over their wants or needs and to top it all of they are being tortured and they didn’t know because they didn’t want to know because they didn’t care not really. They didn’t think they were people not really not full people just extensions of themselves. Helly was right they give the innies these fractured segments of lives and think they won’t fight for them and are suprised when they do that just like every living creature they want to live.
And there’s no way for them too. The stories always been a tragedy. Someone’s always going to lose

Writing Notes: Fractures
Tumblr media
The illustrations above feature common sites where fractures occur.
Fracture - a complete or incomplete break in a bone resulting from the application of excessive force.
Symptoms of fractures usually:
begin with pain that increases with attempted movement or use of the area and swelling at the involved site.
The skin in the area may be pale and
an obvious deformity may be present.
In more severe cases, there may be:
a loss of pulse below the fracture site, such as in the extremities, accompanied by:
numbness,
tingling, or
paralysis below the fracture.
An open or compound fracture is often accompanied by bleeding or bruising. If the lower limbs or pelvis are fractured, pain and resistance to movement usually accompany the injury causing difficulty with weight bearing.
A fracture usually results from traumatic injury to bones causing the continuity of bone tissues or bony cartilage to be disrupted or broken.
Fracture classifications include:
Simple fractures (more recently called ‘‘closed’’) are not obvious as the skin has not been ruptured and remains intact.
Compound fractures (now commonly called ‘‘open’’) break the skin, exposing bone and causing additional soft tissue injury and possible infection. [NOTE: A single fracture means that one fracture only has occurred and multiple fractures refer to more than one fracture occurring in the same bone.]
Fractures are termed complete if the break is completely through the bone and described as:
Incomplete or ‘‘greenstick’’ if the fracture occurs partly across a bone shaft. This latter type of fracture is often the result of bending or crushing forces applied to a bone.
Fractures are also named according to the specific part of the bone involved and the nature of the break. Identification of a fracture line can further classify fractures.
Types include:
linear,
oblique,
transverse,
longitudinal, and
spiral fractures.
Fractures can be further subdivided by the positions of bony fragments and are described as:
comminuted,
non-displaced,
impacted,
overriding,
angulated,
displaced,
avulsed, and
segmental.
Additionally, an injury may be classified as a fracture-dislocation when a fracture involves the bony structures of any joint with associated dislocation of the same joint.

Where the rubber meets the road.
Tumblr media
These two didn't just have a relationship, they had a (soul)utionship. "The Prophecy" Hand on the throttle Thought I caught lightning in a bottle...
What these two had was magical. There is no debate that Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift were electric: (I am using past tense for the moment, I will refer to them in present tense a bit later in the post)
Tumblr media
Fast forward a decade later to Fortnight. This record did not hit me immediately the way "Folklore" and "Evermore" did, It has almost been a week since its release and I hadn't been fully onboard with TTPD. I was expecting something different, something not familiar and I had quite literally thought maybe Jack Antinoff and Taylor Swift had reached their limit together as collaborators. The music produced by Aaron Dressner had flavors and connections to "Folklore" and "Evermore," while parts of the album was reminiscent of "1989." My next thought that maybe the three of them had done all they could do.
Tumblr media
And then the Matty Healy conversation exploded across the net (le sigh), and I just about gave up on the record.
Tumblr media
I damn near had a sanguinary struggle within myself over The Tortured Poets Department (I know, that is very dramatic lol), and then I finally got it. The brilliance of this woman is unmatched.
The last song "The Manuscript." Now and then she rereads the manuscript Of the entire torrid affair
"The entire torrid affair" meaning the last decade (probably longer, but I am sticking with 2014-2024). The title isn't lost on me and many others - The Man-U-Script.
The last segment of the song
The only thing that's left is the manuscript One last souvenir from my trip to your shores Now and then I reread the manuscript But the story isn't mine anymore
She is closing the chapter on all of it. It's over, the countless theories, the stories we all have created about her. They're our stories now, we built them into a formidable, monstrous entity that took on a life of its own. "The last souvenir" are her words to us on this album. From the Swifities, to the Gaylors/Kaylors, to the haters, critics, industry, fans, media. She won't play this game anymore. Taylor gave enough clues on this album to make EVERYONE'S theory plausible (Karlie, Joe, Matty, Travis, Harry, Kim etc). She connected threads to come full circle, which brings us back to "1989," that 1980s syth-pop (hello! "I Can Do It With A Broken Heart"). This is why she and Jack Antonoff brought us back to where it all began, Karlie Kloss and #Kissgate (Dianna Agron, too, who can forget "Wonderland). Aaron Dressner summons moments within this records of the two albums that fractured my soul, F & E. That folky-pop melody that gets into your skin to change the DNA. No joke, I sobbed listening to "Folklore" and "Evermore."
With TTPD, Taylor comes in like a thrashing, tumultuous storm; at times seething and others admonishing. She is singing to herself, for herself and without need of approval from the mainstream radio (or anyone else). TTPD is messy, too much, not enough, vulnerable, real, relatable and she is tired of our collective shit.
Tumblr media
Back to "The Manuscript" This Era has come to an end and she is leaving us with the ruins, the aftermath of what she went through: being forced to hide who she really is, having to placate the rabid fans who believe the stories of every boy she has ever dated. She has had zero privacy and the only safe place Taylor has ever had was her music, she is the ONLY one who knows to whom she sings. Does she love her fans, of course, but Mother is tired and done. She is ready to come clean and live the life she has crafted to keep in secret in order to protect the innocent.
The beards, NDAs, slight of hand, she is smashing all that we know. It's not her reflection she seeks to shatter, it's the illusions. In "Fortnight" the nurse, a woman (cannot convince me that it's not Karlie. A doorframe is 6'8" and that nurse is about 5" shorter that frame, which would make that person 6'3" :), comes to save her, gives her the key to set her free. The men in the video are the ones who are torturing her. Like the last 10 years, The poet has been tortured by the department of men: Joe, John, Conner, Jake, Harry, Calvin, Tom, Joe, Matty, Travis, Scooter, Scott, and the list goes on.
Tumblr media
It's "Robin" that has got a choke-hold on me.
Buried down deep And out of your reach The secret we all vowed To keep it from you in sweetness
She is singing to a child, a kid, and I am going to say a little boy. Is this song about Levi? I am going to say yes. Hands down the gem of the album, and our cue to realize she is telling us what is next, her family, the loves of her life: Karlie and the kids. That is what she wants and that will be her next chapter. We struggle to interpret the Taylor that is always ten steps ahead of us. Her Eras Tour, this will be the last one for a while. Once it has wrapped, I wouldn't be surprised if she disappeared for a spell. Will she produce more work, sure. Perform, probably, but this last decade has taken a toll, and this tour has been a herculean effort. Hence, its wild success. Could she retire (FLORIDA)? It's possible, but she would never tell us, we would have to figure that out for ourselves.
I have more to say, but it's late and I am sleepy. As I get lost in the piano of "The Manuscript" I am reminded of the book "The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo"
Tumblr media
Not sure if anyone is going to see or read this, but I needed a place to write my thoughts about this extraordinary album that I almost let slip through my fingers. Good night and sleep well everyone <3

The Preview Video~
Full Storyline Masterlist
Since the preview came with some animated footage, let's take a closer look and see what we can spot (spoiler: it's a lot):
Tumblr media
Note: The CD player in the car reads "Golden Hour Part 3" and "Ateez".
We're inside a car which hasn't happened since Ateez were travelling around and hopping in and out of the dreamscape with one of those dreams including Wave:
Tumblr media
Based on that and the general vibe of the song and this segment of the video, I'm gonna assume Ateez will be having fun and road tripping in the upcoming MV, meaning the setting will likely be pre-Wonderland and around or post-Wave.
Next up, we're zooming in and skipping ahead to dusk:
Tumblr media
Regarding the key, we already know Matz both wear one for one set of the concept pictures:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Now, keys have never been a part of Ateez's lore before, even in terms of "unlocking" something, we've only got Bouncy where the lyrics say:
Nothing stands in our way, try to stop us Unlock everything, now it’s time for the party
Here, the key would be symbolic for freedom since it has the power to open doors for you.
But it can also be a symbol of trust - giving someone a key to your property, the key to your heart, etc. - or justice - "unlocking the truth".
What the meaning will be in this case though, I guess we'll simply have to wait and see, but given what else will be covered in the b-sides, I'm gonna assume the "symbol of trust" is most likely to be the relevant one - specifically the trust Ateez have built in each other throughout their journey.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moving on, we have the cracked glass in both the windshield and skylight of the car. It's nighttime now and it just stopped raining.
Since the cracks are in the roof and near the top of the windshield, plus considering the lyrics - which seem to be about people who have broken relationships with their parents - a specific scene plays in my head:
Somebody had a terrible fight with their parents and ran outside, perhaps after getting kicked out, and jumped in their car to get away while something heavy was thrown down on them by their angry parents - the something that caused the cracks.
But beyond that, it could also simply be about metaphorical fractures in the relationship. Cracks so deep the glass shatters beyond repair.
In terms of the lore, this could fall in line with multiple members:
Hongjoong whose family kept drifting apart despite how hard he tried to please them all - they really only return to him after he becomes a successful author (as if he hadn't been worthy of their time and attention up until then)
Yeosang's parents who trapped him in a cage by filling his days to the brim with schedules until he could no longer be his own person
San who seems somewhat estranged from his parents who always made him move around, never allowing him even a chance to settle in and form friendships
Mingi who comes from a broken home, has been suicidal most of his life, and was raised by his grandmother who died near the start of the storyline
Tumblr media Tumblr media
During Castle, we see eight shooting stars approach the horizon where they then come together, fuse, coalesce into a bright white line that seems to expand outward rapidly, filling the entire screen and illuminating the night.
However, this is no peace-bringing light, no - this is a destructive force, an explosion that tears up the road and sends the car flying:
Tumblr media
Given that this album's b-sides seem to center on relationships, this likely symbolizes the angry outburst which tears a relationship apart. A good relationship going awry and making you feel like your entire world has come crumbling down. Like the way Wooyoung felt at the end of the Golden Hour Part 2 Diary Entries...
Tumblr media
Last but not least, we have the key with the embedded Sopro, the key which takes us back to the start of the video where everything was peaceful and we were simply road-tripping as the sunset approached, dousing the world around us in a golden light...

Hiya!:3 I posted this on my alt blog but felt like expanding on it here.
I’m doing a rewrite/au of a few creepypastas aka the ones I rlly liked as a kid.
Here’s what I have now
Warning! This is slightly based off slender the arrival and the idea of that whole slender mansion as a whole. Idk I was just rlly into that as a kid n im giving into whimsy.
Input is also appreciated!
I’ve only done jeff and sort of Ben rn? So uh I’ll just do jeff for now:) cuz it’s long alr..
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Jeffrey Woods-Kennedy, age 26 (16 at time of incident), mixed (white/puerto rican), operating under a fake name-> James Davis. Left eye is extremely blurry. Cannot work in person and barely leaves his home.
^^ his face looks a lil off in the first drawing, just ignore that:) I’ll update it later!
Liu Kennedy, age 28 (17 at time of incident, due to birth months.), white.. straight (also does not matter), currently employed as a barista, has a bad time holding jobs but he tries! Everyone knows him as the guy with a nut job brother.
Jane Agguire, age 29 (18 at time of incident), mexican, works an office job. One of Liu’s only friends.
His parents divorced when he was a child, his mother remarrying soon after. This brought his new father Ken (Ken Kennedy was funny, okay?) and step brother Liu into the family. (Liu being 14 and he being 12)
-> his mother’s name is Amaia Woods.
When Jeff was 15 his Father accepted a new job offer and they were forced to move away
Jeff had always had issues with depression and a lack of empathy towards others, much like his biological father. He HAD been attending therapy up until they moved as his Mother had told him “it’s a fresh start! You don’t need all of that.”
The middle segment follows pretty normally, Randy n the shit squad show up and play bully HOWEVER this lasts a lot longer before the first initial fight where Liu is arrested- also by that I mean taken to Juvie on a simple assault charge. Randy’s injuries are also a lot less severe- only a few fractured bones and a broken nose.
Weeks after Liu is arrested the little boy’s (I forgot his name) party rolls around and Jeff is forced to attend. Randy n the Shit Squad show up again and attack Jeff inside for breaking Randy’s nose. (Everyone else is outside.) The Alcohol is only splashed on him (Face, and his hands and knees soaked in it on the floor) and those are the only areas burned. The bleach is poured on after he’s lit on fire to “put him out” as Randy said.
The police had been called by a concerned neighbor, Jane Aguirre, who had seen the fire start from the upstairs window.
-> More on Jane. She’s Liu’s classmate- specifically from his English class. She’s a top student and rather popular. Her and Liu aren’t the best of friends but they aren’t strangers. He tells her often about his family. She’s older than Liu by a year, yet she’s shorter.
Liu is let out of Juvie after the 2 other dorks (whose names I also forgot) confess to what actually happened.
In the hospital Jeff’s face is mostly bandaged as it wasn’t .. so terrible that a skin graft was required. He can hear his parents talk about him from outside the room, his mother was considering pulling him out of school because of what she thought he’d look like. Liu would come by periodically to tell him about what was happening at school.
Sustained injuries- Burned face/knees/shins/hands, an odd smile burned off his mouth that was sewn shut, limited vision in the left eye.
When he was finally released his parents had noticed his behavior changing but they blamed it on the painkillers he had been prescribed. He seemed completely apathetic to everything around him. His mother couldn’t fathom the idea that her son had gotten worse.
His Mother had walked in on him slowly peeling each stitch out of his face, when asked why he could only answer with “You wanted me to be pretty, no?”. She backed off and told his Step-Father, who offered the idea that maybe- just maybe- that it wasn’t the pain killers.
In the middle of the night; around 12:27 Jeff had snuck into his parents room and attempted to smother his mother while shouting about his newfound looks. When his Step-Father woke up he fled. Upon searching the house they had found Liu laying in bed bleeding out of two cuts in his face. He couldn’t, or wouldn’t, recall what had happened- not even to the police.
He did, however, tell Jane. The next day he texted her to tell her that his brother had disappeared after he attacked him and his mother. Jane told him to “just forget him” and life went on.
Years later, Liu is now 28 and Jane is 29. They both volunteer for the Big Brother/Sister program and wish to help children with troubled lives.. to avoid something like Jeff.
They hadn’t heard from him since the accident. Until one day Liu receives a text of nothing but an apartment address. He didn’t recognize the number at all, why should he?
Despite Jane’s reluctance he decided to investigate, taking her with him for back up. The apartment was normal.. until they had gotten inside. It was unlocked, like someone had been waiting.. however, no one was there. It was empty-Said for the walls lined with scrawled drawings of a tall figure and a map poorly pinned above a desk, the local National forest circled haphazardly.
As they investigated the apartment more they came to realize who’s it must’ve been. The clothes, the mess, and the phone left on the table all suggested it was Jeff’s apartment.
His phone was locked- yet like an idiot his password was easily guessable. The background was nothing of importance. His contacts were bare said for a few unrecognizable names and Liu’s own number, having been marked under Liu? Maybe.” According to his calendar he had been attending therapy but he recently stopped showing up as shown by the endless voicemails left by his therapist. The pill bottles scattered around suggested he had been getting treated for depression and insomnia.
Jane, begging Liu to just let it all go, tried to convince him to just go home- that this whole thing was just nuts. Liu of course didn’t listen.. he drove her to the forest. It was foggy, they could barely see anything.
Jane had noticed another car parked off the road when they had pulled up, she chose not to say anything though.. why would that car matter? She just wanted to humor her friend for a moment before returning home.
As they wandered through the forest the fog thickened. At some point they two had parted on accident, leaving Jane wandering alone with nothing but the light from her phone.
Eventually, Jane came upon a cliff, seeing a figure standing on the edge, she called to it- assuming it was Liu- and as it turned around she recognized that poorly disfigured face. She was standing face to face with Jeff.
She went to take a step forward, as to pull him away from the cliff, yet suddenly a strange black fog engulfed the man and he was gone.
Jane was left alone.
-> Notes on the National Park. It’s fictional! Named (as of rn) Bradbury National Forest, having been named after the decrepit run down mansion supposedly hidden deep within its foliage.

So I used chat gpt and made a persona using Carlos Oliveira from re3 remake for cod rps, here's what I got. Idk if the ai used him from the game to make it or just his appearance but yeah. Honestly love Carlos. Honestly a fic with Carlos in cod instead of re3 would be awesome like he's so fine. Idk
Tumblr media
Name: Carlos Oliveira
Call sign/alias: "Rogue"
Age: 28
Height: 6’0” (183 cm)
Build: Athletic-mesomorph – broad shoulders, narrow waist, thickly corded muscles defined with sharp anatomical clarity, but not exaggerated in bulk. Functional strength. Combat-sculpted.
Sexuality: gay but he doesn't flaunt it or make it obvious. (For rp purposes lol. Totally shipping him with tf 141)
Ethnicity: South American Mestizo and he's from America.
---
APPEARANCE
Hair:
Carlos's hair is a rugged crown of textured black waves, sitting somewhere between a layered shag and loose curls—shoulder-length if straight, but pulled into wild disarray that makes it appear shorter. It frames his face in a tousled mane of controlled chaos, thick and voluminous with natural body and movement. Each strand seems alive with energy, always slightly damp with sweat or rain or the grime of a recent op. He rarely bothers to tame it, and that deliberate dishevelment lends him an effortless charisma. It falls into his eyes when he concentrates, half-obscuring a stare that can break silence like a gunshot.
Eyes:
Coal-black, almost liquid in the right lighting, like a stormcloud caught in amber. His eyes are deep-set and almond-shaped with heavy, expressive lashes that contrast against his darker skin—lashes women would kill for, but he’s never noticed. There’s intensity in his gaze, the kind of silent scrutiny that makes you feel undressed and understood in the same breath. They're sharp, tactical—scanning every room, every person, calculating risks without a word. When he softens, they hold the weight of someone who’s seen too much, survived too often.
Face:
Chiseled and strikingly symmetrical. High cheekbones cut sharp under a lean layer of combat-toned skin. His jawline is prominent, masculine, shadowed with a few days’ worth of neat scruff. His nose is straight with a slight warrior’s bump—a subtle reminder of a fracture long healed. His lips are full, a rich terracotta tone, the bottom lip slightly more pronounced, giving him a perpetually serious or pensive expression. His brows are thick and dark, often furrowed in focus, and small scars are hidden in the grain of his skin—a faint slice on the brow, a knick near the temple.
Skin:
A warm, golden-bronze tone kissed by the sun—a natural South American Mestizo hue. His complexion is remarkably smooth for a man who’s lived in dirt, blood, and smoke. Close-up, you can see the faintest hint of pores and old, half-healed abrasions, but his skin somehow remains youthful and taut. He smells faintly of cedarwood, gunmetal, and the memory of gun oil.
Body:
Carlos is built like a human weapon: streamlined yet massive where it counts. His chest is broad, his pecs full and sculpted beneath every shirt, tight enough to leave little to the imagination. Deltoids curve like armor plates above arms laced with hard muscle and veins—his biceps flex with instinctive movement, balanced with powerful forearms. His core is lean, his abs visibly segmented beneath fitted clothing, and his waist narrows into a V-line that disappears beneath his belt. His legs are equally formidable—thighs thick and explosive, calves cut and muscular. His glutes, tight and high, stretch the fabric of his cargo pants like they were stitched on him. Every part of him moves with the grace of a predator and the force of a soldier. (He's basically got a fat ass and hot man toddies and nice lean abs)
---
CLOTHING STYLE & AESTHETIC
Carlos favors form-fitting black tactical wear—shirts that hug his torso like second skin, tight around the arms and chest, looser at the waist. Cargo pants that mold to his thighs and ass, double-stitched and reinforced, loaded with gear pockets. Fingerless tactical gloves worn like a second layer of skin. Military-grade boots worn to hell but still gleaming with readiness. He wears a light armor plate carrier, often with the vest partially unbuckled for mobility.
His aesthetic is covert-ops meets post-apocalyptic runway: grunge meets utility. Everything he wears serves a purpose, but somehow still highlights his form. He doesn't try to be sexy—he just is.
Gear & Weapons:
Primary: Custom SCAR-H with underbarrel grenade launcher, suppressed barrel, and holo sight.
Secondary: Sig Sauer P320 in thigh holster.
Tactical: Throwing knives, flashbangs, compact breaching charges, short-range comms, and a combat knife strapped to his back molle.
Armor: Lightweight modular chest rig, tactical harness with minimal but efficient plating.
Additional: Medical trauma kit, lockpick set, encrypted data pad, and occasionally a satellite uplink device.
---
VOICE & ACCENT
His voice is gravel dipped in molasses—low, smooth, with a subtle South American Spanish lilt. It’s not overt, but it colors the edges of his words. He speaks with brevity, measured and precise, like every syllable has weight. When he laughs—which isn’t often—it’s rich and rough, a real thing that escapes like thunder through clouds.

HOW OTHERS SEE HIM
Carlos doesn’t seek attention, but he draws it like a magnet. Most barely notice him until he’s speaking into their ear with a plan already in motion. Some dismiss him as just another merc, until he moves—with the poise of a wolf. Those who look longer see more: raw power, sadness buried deep, and a man worth trusting with your life.
---
BACKSTORY
Born in Rio de Janeiro to a Brazilian mother and Chilean father, Carlos was raised between city slums and survivalist training grounds. His father, a decorated guerrilla who fled political purges, taught him warfare before he learned to shave. At 18, he joined SWAT to clean up the streets that once hunted him. After a failed mission where civilians were caught in crossfire and his team was abandoned by command, Carlos resigned. Betrayed by systems but not by his moral compass, he became a mercenary—only taking jobs that walk the tightrope between legality and justice. Now, he moves through shadows, a ghost with a heartbeat, guided by instinct, memory, and a code no one sees but him.

My primary yuri hot take is that Bloom Into You's relative popularity has led people, especially those new to the genre, to approach it solely through the lens of "good representation", which is kinda the worst way to think about it. Like, if you're reading this ardent, earnest story about two repressed teenagers drowning in a sea of fractured identities internalized and imposed over the course of short lives expected desperately to become something very soon, and your main reaction is to gasp every time they do something impulsive or foolish and declare, "Whoa, the Ideal Lesbian, Duchess of Respectability, Sapphic to the power of Plato, would never do that!", I feel like you've fundamentally misunderstood something about queerness.
On the other hand, I've also seen so many people recommending Bloom Into You as "not like the other yuri" and framing it as the only text in the genre that rises above some imagined juvenility or degeneracy or cowardice that other yuri works supposedly have, and like, nope. I haven't even read all of Nakatani Nio's work, and from what little I have, you can still tell she's deeply invested in the genre. She's written everything from burning toxic yuri to self-insert doujin yuri, and some of YagaKimi's best segments are the ones where fermenting desires and old shadows spring forth wild enough to submerge everything else and transform bodies in the shape of a yearning or memory. We need to rescue Nakatani and YagaKimi from the Yuri Oscars podium and return them to the wildlands of the losers and freaks where they were meant to freely roam.

The Remedy Set of Keyblades are Done!
LIGHT REVISION- A Keyblade modeled after the typings of Alan Wake! This Keyblade is designed to increase the damage of Light-based spells. The hilt is designed after a flashlight, with the hilt guard being inspired by the typewriter that Alan uses. The shaft of the blade is make of various typed letters, with the teeth being the lense flare of a flashlight. The token is the Clicker.
The World Logo is that of Bright Falls, where the game takes place. The name is a reference to editting a work of art as well as light itself.
CHAMPION OF LIGHT- A Keyblade modeled after the fight between light and darkness in Alan Wake: American Nightmare! This Keyblade is designed to have the effect of Light & Darkness! The hiltguard is designed after the CRTs that Scratch uses to taunt Alan throughout the game, with plumes of darkness arcing out of it to form half of the shaft. The rest of the shaft and teeth are formed from sparks of Light. The token is one of Alan's Manuscript pages.
The world logo is a based on the Arizona town named Night Springs, where the game loops itself. The name comes from the character that Alan has written himself to be, the Champion of Light.
ZERO STATE- A Keyblade modeled after the technology and fracture of time of Quantum Break! This Keyblade is designed to increase the effects of Slow or Stop on a target. The crossguard is designed after the Time Machines built by both Paul and Will in the game, with the core's patrusions on it. The shaft and teeth of the blade are designed after the visual effects of time breaking. The token is the Countermeasure built by Will.
The world logo is that of Riverport, the city in which the game takes place in. The name, Zero State, comes from when time has stopped.
OBJECT OF POWER- A Keyblade modeled after the Astral Realm of Control! This Keyblade is designed to launch targets into the air much easier! The entire keyblade is modeled after the black marble-like structures found in the astral plane, with the same golden veins in that marble as well. The teeth are made from Hedron, Polaris' counterpart in the Oldest House. The token is a slide from a Slide Projector.
The world logo is that of the Oldest House, the paranatural location that the game takes place. The name, Object of Power comes from terms used by the FBC to designated paranatural objects with supernatural powers.
CULT CLASSIC- A Keyblade modeled after the dual sides of Alan Wake II! This Keyblade is designed to have increased damage from Light-based spells! The hilt of the Key is designed after the woods that Saga Anderson traverses through, as well as the cross guard being that of the Antlers of deers that Saga interacts with. The center of the guard is the bullet hole made by Saga. The top of the shaft forms into the Angel Lamb that Alan Wake uses during his segments, with the wings forming the teeth of the blade. The token is the Cult of the Tree logo.
The world logo is a darker variant of the original World Logo. The name comes from the fact that a Cult Classic refers to a work that is extremely popular within niches, and that this game has two cults: Cult of the Word and Cult of the Tree.

Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre: The Complete Series
I'm sharing this playlist in response to the post that's been circulating today debunking the "urban legends" about Shelley Duvall.
I was shocked to learn that some people assume Duvall was "driven insane" by the trauma she went through filming The Shining, and think this was why she left Hollywood and became a recluse.
Now, I don't know all the details of Duvall's mental health struggles, but the myth that The Shining drove her into exile is total nonsense! She was active as both an actress and a producer throughout the '80s and '90s – especially in children's shows, as the post that's been circulating points out.
So to thoroughly debunk that urban legend, I've decided the complete episode playlist of the '80s TV series that may be her post-Shining magnum opus: Faerie Tale Theatre.
This series originally ran on Showtime, then was shown in reruns on the Disney Channel in the '90s. Most of the episodes were also released on VHS and later DVD. Each episode is a 50-minute live-action adaptation of a classic fairy tale or fantasy story, with a celebrity cast. Many of the episodes have quirky, irreverent humor, and jokes aimed more at adults than at kids, but they never quite cross the line into "fractured fairy tale" and have genuine heart too. I've written reviews in the past of Cinderella, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and Sleeping Beauty. My personal favorite episodes are probably Cinderella and The Three Little Pigs, but they're all worth watching and were a mainstay of my childhood.
Duvall created and produced the series and introduces each episode in a host segment. In two episodes, she appears as the heroine: the Miller's Daughter in Rumpelstiltskin and the title role in Rapunzel. She also provides the voice of the titular bird in The Nightingale and briefly appears as Snow White's mother in the prologue of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
If you like fairy tales, and if you never knew that Shelley Duvall's career still thrived in the '80s and want to see her work from that era, then watch this series!

I think part of the reason I find games like Disco Elysium or Slay the Princess so interesting to me is because my brain has always felt a little fractured like that. Little parts, segments different enough that it's like multiple "people" having a "conversation" but they're still part of one whole, not enough to be seperate beings. They're part of the same idea, the idea of you, but they're still seperate. So close yet so far. They are different pieces in the same puzzle. They are different words in the same sentence. They are all different people with the same face and body and voice and idea of a person. I'm rambling here because it's such a specific feeling that's so clear to me because I can feel it but it's so difficult for me to put into words!
When the Voice of the Hero talks, it's hard to say that's not you/the player in Slay the Princess. It's part of you. A fragment. An echo. But the same can be said of the Voice of the Paranoid, or the Voice of the Smitten! They're all so different, yet they're still part of whatever the hell "you" is!
To end this, I generally have become a really big fan of fiction where you can see the seperated pieces that make up a person, taken apart like a computer you're trying to fix, because for a big part of my life that's how I have felt and I am unsure if there will ever come a day when the parts are put back together into one working machine. Maybe I will have to make do with being dismantled.
