This date marks the 76th year of the Israeli oppression against Palestine. This date marks the day Israel drove out over 750, 000 people from their homeland to establish its "state".
This heinous event was called al-Nakba (the catastrophe, the disaster). This heinous event was the start of this genocide.
It did not start on October 7th 2023. It stared on May 14 1948. It. has. still. not. ended.
The Nakba did not end in 1948. It is still happening today, right at this very second.
The numbers are growing. Every. Second.
This is the day you remember the corporations that fund the genocide. This is the day you remember the governments that cheer-on the genocide. This is the day you remember how the west instigated hate-crimes towards Arabs. This is the day you remember how the west and Israel are the terrorists. This is the day you remember the millions of people who had been killed for ethnic cleansing.
This is the day you always remember. This is the day you never forget.
This is the day you cry for Palestine. This is the day you scream for Palestine.
This is the day you remind everyone of the country of Palestine. You must never stop talking about Palestine. Never.
Palestinian lives matter. Stand up for the ones that died and the ones that live. Show us you care.
Do not dare forget:
May 14 1948
If you want to help Palestine with financial aid, but don't have any money, there's a website called arab.org that donates for you with just one click of a button.
UC Berkeley Graduate Students for Justice in Palestine Statement: No ‘time, place, manner’ for genocide
On Thursday, the 146th day of the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza, as the Palestinian death toll surpassed 35,000 martyrs, we woke to videos of corpses piled on wagons meant for food aid. This was the food aid promised to Palestinians starving under the Israeli military blockade, the aid whose entry into Gaza has been held up for months by a second, civilian blockade enforced by Israeli settlers. These settlers physically block food trucks from entering, cheer on the bombs, and chant, “Dead, dead, dead Arabs.”
Israeli troops claim that they felt threatened by the starving crowd and opened fire, killing more than 100 Palestinians. But the real root of the massacre lies in the chants of the settlers. With every “Dead Arab,” we see what is truly at play: to Israel and its supporters in the United States, Palestinian lives are disposable, worth less than the bags of flour they were murdered over.
People in Gaza have already named it “The Flour Massacre.” But Israelis, 72 percent of whom support halting aid to starving Gazans, have taken to calling it something else: “The Blessed Massacre.” On social media, they gloated that “we must starve them until the long-awaited cannibalism.”
I’ve been getting emails from Columbia University, trying to get me to enroll in their University because I am a member of the Phi Theta Kappa honour society. I recently sent them an email removing myself from any consideration of enrolling with them. They have a long history of violent crackdowns on peaceful protests going back over 50 years to the Vietnam war and I could not in good conscience continue to consider enrolling in an institution that uses violence to make student conform and comply. An individual withdrawing themselves from consideration isn’t going to harm their bottom line, but maybe I’m not the only one reconsidering enrolling. Maybe if enough people reconsider and enroll in other, more tolerant institutions, my idealist heart hopes Columbia would see the error of their ways. Probably not though.
I HATE THEM. YEA THIS IS A HATE SPEECH FROM THE DEEPEST HEART OF MINE.
What the hell?! The audacity to call THAT unintentional?? We're not blind, we're not stupid! These all weeks with load of barbaric bombs and whatever the hell may be IDF done in Gaza. Ofc IDF INTENTIONALLY kill those thousands of civillians. That so called dancey dance coward military of Israel are also monsterous hearted being 🤬
The genocide in Gaza is still going on, the world has seemed to turn a blind eye. However there are people who still believe in humanity, there are people all over the world protesting for a ceasefire, boycotting the products and brands that support Israel, there are people who are praying for the innocent lives in Gaza. There are some people who are saying that the boycott is working that it's affecting the government of Israel and we also have some people who believe that nothing can be done to help them from so far away, people who say "what can we even do from our homes".
However, I believe that the boycott is working, the shares of those companies supporting Israel are showing a trend of going down, I believe it's all for something, although the bombings are still going on. I believe it means something to stand with the truth and show humanity, the people who are boycotting, protesting and praying, you are making a difference, don't stop now.
Every single person is contributing to something even by doing the littlest.
There will come a day when Allah swt will ask us what we did for those who are suffering in Gaza at the hands of Israel. And I hope we say we said no to supporting and funding a genocide, we say that we prayed, we say that our hearts went out to those mothers and childrens and fathers who searched for their families body parts after bombings, I hope we say that our eyes cried after seeing the people long for water and food and warmth and shelters.
honestly so fucking tired of seeing you people try to defend israel by saying shit like "oh but palestine is against lgbt people!!"
like first of all so is israel so now what?
second of all, i thought it was quite obvious atp that the mindset of the people =/= the government
third of all, im quite literally a lesbian arab who was born in the middle east. if you think that there are no queer palestinians, arabs, or muslims youre just dense.
queer palestinians, arabs, and muslims are being bombed and killed by israel every single day. but do the lives of queer people only matter to you when theyre white?
Another "professor" who doesn't deserve their job, and to which the uni responded.
Look, we all know he probably ain't gonna be fired bcs by that time another "professor" will come up with even worse behavior that makes the ziopigs in the government have an orgasm. I'll try to make a post to keep track on which professor should be held accountable, i remember there's several other before this one.
