Man I wonder what it will take for someone to make Niah angry like…especially with her anxiety. She holds a lot of emotions in and really would rather stay away from people who stress her out. But if she’s with that source of stress for prolong periods of time she will explode eventually.

Oky, here we go:

-When Charlie does something wrong, she'll ask Vaggie to put her in time out, and if Vaggie tells her that she doesn't need to go to time out, Charlie will still go because she feels bad.

She'll feel guilty and overwhelmed by whatever it is, and she just wants things to be okay again.

She's never really bad. She just gets overwhelmed or overexcided, and then she makes mistakes.

But she personally can't ever let that go, even when little she's far too hard on herself ❤️🫂

-Emily hates being sent to time out! She'll listen and stay where she's told, but she'll pout the whole entire time! That'll show um'!

Ha!

-Velvette will not stay in time out! Vox can't make her! She'll get up and play, then Vox will have to drag her back in time out again and and again until she stays for the full five minutes.

It ends up taking hours when it literally could have lasted 5 minutes if she listened the first time.

-Vaggie normally acts out when she's just overwhelmed. So Charlie will usually just sit with her quietly until she calms down, and then she'll talk to her about whatever it is that happened.

-Vox will get very mad or upset if he's not able to convince Vel or Val to change their mind. He always tries to negotiate and talk himself out of things.

When he's not able to, he'll throw an even bigger tantrum. Whether sadly or angry.

-Valentino would just find something to chew on or cause destruction where he is...

Or he'll leave to find something.

He learns nothing!! 😈

-Pentious would cry the whole time. He hates disappointing people. Even if he doesn't believe whatever he did was wrong, he'll cry until it's over.

Then, getting him to apologize afterward can be really easy or really hard depending on whether or not he genuinely thinks he did something wrong.

(Eg: if he fought with Angel, but Angel was the one to start it, he won't take accountability so easily.)

-Lute: Lute doesn't often get "Time out" but when she starts to act out or get fussy, they'll put her down for a nap, and she'll usually be fine.

-Adam: Will pout and complain the whole time, asking how much longer he has to stay and when he can come out constantly.

-Cherri: seems to have the idea that she doesn't go down for small offenses.

So, if she's sent to "time out" or if she gets disciplined at all, she'll do something much much worse so she'll feel like she accomplished something worth being punished over.

Angel:

Angel tends to act out a lot. Sometimes, because he doesn't know how to express how he's feeling, and sometimes it's because he wants to test Husk or Charlie's willpower, see how long it'll take for them to give up.

They never do, but he's convinced they will eventually.

So he'll keep trying to leave time out and cause problems until he breaks down and starts crying hysterically.

Then Husk will comfort him until he's calmed down, then they'll talk it through.

But when Angel is older, he'll sit there silently, but the issue will bother him for a while until it comes crashing down because he'll refuse to talk about it until then.

Yea is known for making people sweat and squirm. On occasion she’s made some of them cry. At first she thought you were simply a masochist, continually coming back to her with that big, dopey smile and offerings only to be turned into a flustered mess when she teased you. But you kept coming back. Then she thought you were trying to bribe her, everyone who comes to the shrine has some sort of desire, whether or not they want to admit it. But you voluntarily said that the only thing you wanted was to see her. Finally, she thought you were a blind, lovestruck fool. No one really loves her. No one even truly knows her. You just want to have a pretty and powerful woman like her wrapped around your finger, but if you think Yae is going to fall for that, you’re sorely mistaken. But you surprise her once again. You claim to not care if she loves you. You admit to having a crush on her. Yae cuts you off with a quip about how she’d never date a human. You look down shamefully but continue on and say that you’d still like to be her friend. You enjoy seeing her in action and the conversations you have with her are entertaining. And that one day, You can know the real her.

Yae is stunned by your confession. Taken back by your sincerity. She sorely regrets making that snide remark earlier.

The response was something typical of her to say, but it still hurt for you to hear.

Yae isn’t sure how to react to this rare feeling of discomfort. Since when is she uncomfortable with being herself? Normally she basks in a person’s crestfallen face or at least is disappointed in it. But just now, with you, she felt… ashamed of herself.

You disappear down the mountain and Yae retires to her chambers. She doesn’t sleep. One night of missed sleep is nothing to her. Instead she lays in her comfy futon and thinks about all the times she must have hurt you. She says so many things in a day, so used to saying whatever will get the best reaction out of people.

She used to think it was you that she had to be wary of. Oh how the tables have turned. The reality is that it’s you who should be avoiding her.

Miko feels as though she’s been stabbed as the thought of you avoiding her crosses her mind. What a terrible life that would be, she thinks to herself.

But…

She can’t argue that it would be better for you. Even she has to admit to the damages she must have done to you. The ways she’s baited you, letting her teasing go too far. She’s taken every gift you gave, every compliment, everything. Such an adorable, little piece of sunshine. Little red riding hood just trying to pick flowers for grandma and the big bad wolf— Yae came along and ruined everything. Stole your innocence and hope. All while smiling about it.

Yae is torn between wanting you to come back and hoping you stay away. She’s a bad influence. A bad person. She’ll only continue to hurt you. It’s who she is after all. You’ll never truly know her. You’ll never make it past her walls. You’ll start climbing and she’ll tease you and laugh when you fall and land on your ass. It’s just too entertaining. It's too mean. She should tell you to stay away.

Heavy spoilers!

This is a barebone storyline for RBB. I am too fed up with keeping it down so we're posting it somewhere.

If you do want to read this, and afterwards want to talk about the events listed. That is completely fine. Even encouraged! But for others sake we are going to have to use code words if we are talking about it.

Start a ask with "The colorful mango" just those words! I will then answer the ask, and ask what you want to talk about. Of which then we can continue the conversation underneath read more blocks.

I will be tagging this for my convenience. Luckily though I will use code words. Which are going to be along the same light as the cherry incident wording. I will be listing these different code words next to each event.

Let's get started.

So. We have the generic storyline opening as everything else. Sun got taken over by the kill code. Moon was getting taken over by the kill code. Attempted to make some AI that failed. The computer merge those AIs together to create Blue Moon. Blue Moon lived for about a month alongside moon before they went kill code crazy. At some point meeting Golden in the process. The cube came a couple months later. Then blackstar. Then Earth.

That is a generic timeline everyone knows. This is what's happening after. What hopefully will happen during the ask series. Although the ask series is more of a tying of events. Plus almost a separate timeline. It's basically just a way for me to tie together events without having to think about the downtime.

But let's get started. Really.

So Black Star made a deal with Earth. Basically he caught her trying to mind control Blue Moon. Before he was able to get out of there he caught him. Forcing him to stay quiet under the preface that she will do the same to him. Black Star stays quiet then. If he doesn't mess with her she won't mess with him.

It's not until he starts feeling bad about it that he wants to do something new.

Do note that this listed string of events is really for the ask series. Probably going to steal things from there to fill up the story if I ever do write it down.

Basically blackstar and Blue Moon's relationship grows. Black Stars still a little shit, but he wants to care for Blue Moon. Which includes stopping the whole mess. Black Star doesn't know how to get into contact with Golden so he figures to go somewhere else. Roxanne.

(I don't watch the Roxanne and Gregory show on a daily basis. So yes her personality is very different from what it might be in the show. There's just a lot of things that are different in this.)

Unfortunately this idea is cut short. Blue Moon gets teleported to lost Lord. A place blackstar isn't familiar with. So Blue Moon has to defend him and themselves as they get attacked by the cursed spikes. Yada yada shenanigans. This is a more time filler space. Point is by the end of it Lost Lord's still hates Blue Moon. They're only going to hold back their fury because blackstar made a sort of an alliance.

When they get back Earth is lucky enough to find Black Star. Carefully leaning him back towards pizza plex. Much to his concealed disappointment. Set back up where sun and moon are angry at Blue Moon for getting teleported. Mainly because they teleported back on top of one of suns clean up supply piles. Which makes it so the black star has to attempt to calm them while Earth quietly threatens there life. She also makes sure Black Star realizes that getting help is to break their contract.

This is kind of the extent of what I have planned for the ask series as of now. So from here on it's bullet point events. Not a lot of stringing events together. I'm also regoing over some events that are in the ask series. Just because that's what they boiled down to in the basically ask series Canon.

Blue Moon is extremely tired with their life. Wanting something better that they've seen in all the other universes.

Black Star gets introduced. Instantly knows something's wrong with Earth. Seeing her as an almost copy of him.

Blue Moon gets the taste of the virus.

The Cherry incident.

Blackstar gets caught and makes a deal with Earth to leave him alone.

Rambutan times.

Lost Lord. Blue Moon has to introduce blackstar to the first dangers He's probably ever seen. Black Star does something to help them survive through their stay.

Some good apples.

Eclipse Brothers world. worried about blackstar. Pissed but okay with blue moon.

Mutated carrot.

Beast maker world. Get to experience that nightmare.

Ripe raisins.

Old lunar getting worried. - visited?

A bunch of grapes.

Other wild world. -perhaps a lava world. -perhaps just CC -maybe filler.

Snapped celery.

Black Star feeling bad. It's getting out of hand.

They visit a world with an Earth. Blue Moon gets attached and unfortunately attacks a sun for her. Despite her not wanting them to.

Blue Moon deeply regrets and is extremely confused.

Rolling pickle.

Blackstar fleas to try and find help. Unfortunately leaving Blue Moon to get taken over by Earth's virus.

Black Star heads to EB to get help. Shy due to Earth's threaten but EB protects him.

Bell pepper.

Earth learns about the star from Blue Moon.

Black Star essentially gathers a mini army to stop Earth.

Smashed mangoes.

Earth heads to Golden and by pretending that Blue Moon is okay. Gaines access to the star.

The others try and stop her. Unfortunately Blue Moon taken over by the virus and fights for her.

Earth uses the star. It breaks. Blue Moon along with it.

Earth did not mean to hurt blue moon. In her sorrow, Golden gains back control of the situation.

Fruit basket.

Blue Moon is.. dead? Black Star kills Earth in revenge. He and Golden attempt to fix blue moon. Old lunar, The eclipse Brothers, anyone else, Go to try and get superior help.

The story is unfortunately stuck here. I struggle to link events together. There really should be a lot more downtime in RBB instead of just going to other universes. This is based on the most concrete story I've ever made. Which is correlated to a song. So there's definitely some creative biases.

If any of you want to talk about this stuff I'm happy to. My problem with the story is that there are no filler events. People asking questions about the story helps me think about how to fill those empty holes. It will help this story and the many events more complete. So please, I encourage questions.

You told yourself you’d do anything to join the men’s volleyball team at karasuno High and I mean ANYTHING. You bought a binder to press down your breast, bought the male uniform. You upsized the tops, and cut your hair. You went all the way with no regrets. Everything ended up as planned. It worked too well to the point where ladies fell in love with you. You had them blushing, giggling, hearts skipping a beat. The rest of the boys on the team were jealous. When you joined the team you were in the starting line. You fit in all positions due to all the hard and intense training you had put into your love and passion for volleyball. The guys loved an all-around player. As time passed by the boys learned from the tips you gave them and directions of the coach. The day you beat Shiratorizawa was the best. I embarrassed her in front of the team during tryouts. She did haunt me all this time. He was watching you from the bleachers cheering with your teammates. YOU are going to nationals and not him. He regrets rejecting you. Maybe if he let you join you’d be cheering with him and the team. Once the ceremony was over and everyone was heading home. He managed to catch up to you. “Hey, y/n can we talk for a minute?” He asked you. You couldn’t get caught. “Huh? Dude it’s y/m/n. What’s up bro.” you said. “I’m sorry for being such a jerk to you back then. I shouldn’t have embarrassed you in front of everyone at tryouts…It was messed up for me. Everyone got onto the bus. “So..y/m/n..are you gay?” Tanaka asked. The bus went silent. “No.Why the weird question?” You asked. “The team heard the conversation with Oikawa.” Daichi said. Kageyama looked at you. “Come on if he likes guys it’s fine. Don’t be rude. I think y/m/n is a total badass he’s the MVP.” Kageyama defended you. You sighed. “I do like Oikawa a lot..since middle school even though he rejected me from the team and embarrassed me in front of everyone at tryouts.I am going on a date with him this Saturday.” You spoke and smiled. “You are gay. Especially your moods every time once a month.” Sugawara said with a laugh. The guys and girls love having you on the team. Everyone agreed to keep it a secret. 

Saturday came. 

Oikawa knocked on the door. Your father answered it and invited him in. They sat in the living room. “ so you’re graduating what are your plans after school…my daughter is young. What are your intentions with her?” He asked Oikawa who was nervous and sweating. He eventually came to his senses. “Yes, I am graduating. I plan on focusing on my volleyball career and your daughter. She’s a strong and smart young lady.” He replied to him. “ I know you’re the one that had her coming home sobbing from middle school. How do you feel about that?” Your father wants to make sure Oikawa has what he’s got to date his only daughter. “She’s haunted me since that day…She did make me regret my decision. I do feel awful about it. I hurt her feelings…I was a total asshole. I shouldn’t have hurt her feelings or anyone’s feelings. I promise sir that I won’t do such a thing ever again. I will make sure she’s happy and safe. I’ll protect her.” He replied with tears forming. You heard them speaking from the stairs. You finally walked in. “ Hey, I’m ready. Why is he about to cry?” You asked your father crossing your arms. “He was just telling me how he feels about the middle school situation. I’m trusting you with my daughter. She’s a precious gem. Hurt her and I’ll make sure you won’t live to see another day. Have a nice day.” Your father replied. Oikawa was scared. His face was yellow. You left with him. “ Your dad wants what’s best for you but damn he scares me.” He said was you headed to the carnival. “ If he didn’t like you he’d wouldn’t let you in..I’ve had dates before.” You replied excited for the day. “ Really? He likes me?” He asked feeling hopeful. Even if your father didn’t like him Oikawa would still date you. Still love you and Still do anything for you. Would still fight for you.“ Say cheese!!” You said taking a selfie with oikawa. The entire day was awesome. You both enjoyed every moment together. When he dropped you off he kissed you. It was long and passionate. You both felt that strong spark. Oikawa knew you’d be with him forever. He was 100% right because you knew the same thing.

Zuko betrayed Mai when he left her locked inside a prison cell and Mai still saved his ungrateful ass. The bastard didn’t even talk about her even once after that. And I’m supposed to believe he loves her? Yeah right. He was a horrible boyfriend to her and he would be a horrible boyfriend to Katara too. I hate both Maiko and Zutara for Mai and Katara’s sakes. Zuko should not be inflicted on any girl.

I disagree that Zuko betrayed Mai. Mai was the one who chose to come to the Boiling Rock just to yell at Zuko for breaking up with her, which endangered the mission he was on. Mai was the niece of the warden and as a prominent noblewoman her presence there would attract attention and by default to Zuko. Mai did not want to understand Zuko’s perspective as when he literally told her, “Stop! This isn’t about you, it’s about the Fire Nation!” Her reply was, “Thanks Zuko, that makes me feel all better.” She didn’t care about the atrocities her nation was committing, all she cared about was the fact that Zuko dumped her.

Mai does seem to grudgingly listen to Zuko after he tells her “That’s not how I see it.” But we didn’t see their full conversation or Mai’s reaction to Zuko explaining why he’s doing what he’s doing. The next time we saw them she was frowning at him, which insinuates that she still didn’t agree with his reasons. Because of this, Zuko probably deduced that Mai was a danger to the completion of the mission, which is why he locked her inside the cell. And he also probably figured that she would be safe in the cell because her uncle was literally the warden of the prison anyways.

So no, Zuko did not betray Mai. Mai was an obstacle to what he set out to do, so he removed her from his path so he could finish his mission without interference. A lot was at stake there, and he is not a jerk for prioritizing getting the prisoners out of the Boiling Rock and ending the war over Mai. Yes, Mai saving Zuko was very brave and the right thing to do. Yes, Zuko should have mentioned her afterwards and he didn’t, which also makes it hard for me to believe that he loves her at all. Their relationship was not convincing at all.

But before that, Zuko was not a horrible boyfriend to her. He had one moment of explosive jealousy, and was rightfully called out for it. But he was thoughtful. He got her a shell because he was trying to please her and she sarcastically rejected it. How is he supposed to know what she likes if she doesn’t tell him? He hasn’t seen her for three years. Mai was not obligated to like the shell, but she should have at least appreciated that her boyfriend was trying to do something nice for her. He also went to get her food without complaint when she literally ordered him to at the party. Then in Nightmares and Daydreams, Zuko does his best to please her by ordering fruit tarts for her. Zuko wasn’t perfect, but he tried to make her happy when he himself was in a really bad place emotionally.

There’s also no evidence that he would be a horrible boyfriend to Katara. When Zuko was with Mai, he was pretending to be someone he wasn’t and was in some deep anxiety. He was not himself with her, and couldn’t be even if he wanted to. And yet still, he tried to make it work with her. When Zuko joins Team Avatar, he is finally his true self. And when he’s interacting with Katara he shows his real personality. He was respectful and supportive towards her. He truly wanted to make up for how he hurt her and was very supportive of her in The Southern Raiders. Zuko also protected her even when she was still angry with him, as he saved her from falling rocks and took the brunt of the fall so that she wouldn’t get hurt.

Zuko and Katara had a good friendship and they enjoyed spending time with each other. Zuko respected her as a fighter as he chose her to come fight Azula with him, and put her life before his own in The Final Agni Kai when Azula shot lightening at Katara and he took it for her instead. Therefore, I see no evidence that he would be a horrible boyfriend to Katara. I think he would always put her first and be supportive of her, and accept her entirely for who she is. Zuko is not perfect, even after his redemption, he has flaws. But he is a good person overall who is empathetic, thoughtful, and supportive. He tries his best and I think he’d make Katara happy. Katara would not have to coddle him and she would be able to be her full self with him.

You’re entitled to dislike Mai.ko and Zutara for whatever reasons, but this why I don’t agree with the view that Zuko is a horrible boyfriend.

god, there's just something about the way that the iliad opens with brilliant achilles' wrath, and ends with horse-breaker hektor's funeral, but in many ways the story is about helen. helen, who only shows up a meager six times in all of the iliad, and four of those scenes are in the third book, in what is almost one long extended scene.

the iliad is about war, and the consequences of it, and the tragedy of it, and the men that fight in it, but the iliad is centered around helen. christopher marlowe called her 'the face that launched a thousand ships' and i suppose he was right, in a way. helen was who they blamed the war on. and while you can argue whether or not helen went with paris willingly (it will probably not surprise you to know i believe she didn't, not really, but thats a different argument) what i get most angry about is how helen is portrayed.

yes, she's gorgeous. indisputable. aphrodite promised alexandros the most beautiful woman in the world, and that's helen. and it isn't as if the iliad doesn't drive that point home! the old men muttering on the gates with priam and helen say outright that helen is so beautiful, so like a terrible goddess, that neither the trojans nor the greeks can be blamed for the sheer amount of death they've caused. (putting, then, of course, the blame on helen.)

but the old men also say that it would be best if helen went back on the ships, that she's caused too much grief to stay.

because that's the crux of it, isn't it? that helen is miserable, and so is everyone around her. every scene she's in, helen is either being manipulated/influenced by a goddess (aphrodite forcing helen, iris straight up using divine power to make helen feel things), mourning the fact that she's married to the shitstain that is paris, wishing she'd died as a baby, or all three. she's lonely, she's suicidal, and she's shunned by the trojan women (in all by the very last scene, where the trojan women join her in mourning, which is especially upsetting because we know afterwards just after helen has finally been counted among them after twenty years, they're immediately separated as the trojan women are sold as slaves and helen is taken back with menelaos to be 'possessed').

but helen is also angry. she's furious. comments about helen's beauty are passing and brief. but every scene helen is in, she burns with spiteful rage and justified heartbreak. she tells paris she wished he'd died in battle. she tells her brother hektor, in front of paris, that she wishes she could have married someone as brave and noble as hektor, instead of the pompous shameless paris, and wishes that hektor could rest instead of suffering the burden of paris' actions. she stands up to aphrodite.

of all the scenes in the iliad, that one is my favorite. beyond the comedy of helen immediately spotting how weirdly alluring this old woman is and seeing through aphrodite's disguise, helen is incandescent for just a brief tirade. she asks whether aphrodite has found a new pretty boytoy to whisk helen away to, to make aphrodite happy, or if maybe it's back to be possessed by menelaos? helen calls aphrodite treacherous, and refuses her command. helen demands that instead, aphrodite suffer as helen suffers. demands that if aphrodite wants someone to fuck paris so bad, aphrodite can do it herself, can step down forever as a goddess and become paris' wife and slave instead of helen. i will not serve his bed.

helen is furious, and it's only aphrodite's threat (don't make me hate you as i now terribly love you, lest i remind the greeks and trojans alike of their hate and trap you in it to kill you) of death that has helen going to paris. and even there, with aphrodite watching, helen tells paris she wishes he died and that her old husband can and still could kill him. and after that, paris declaims her rage makes her more desirable than ever, even more than when he first stole her.

helen spends a lot of time miserable. wishing she were dead. i think thats perfectly reasonable, spending twenty years in a city where the only two people who are ever kind to her are her father-in-law and brother-in-law. where countless men die just outside her walls and everyone blames her (and she blames herself, deeply). she misses her family, her home, her daughter. she calls herself a bitch, a slut, wishes the gods hadn't laid this on her but let her die at birth. of course she's suicidally depressed. of course she's angry.

but this view of helen as a petty, self-centered vain model is so infuriating because there's no evidence for it! even if you believe that she went with alexandros willingly, she still spends the entire iliad, the few scenes she is allowed, being vengeful, heartbroken, and utterly furious! it's demeaning and telling to reduce her to her beauty. even in six short scenes we get such a wonderful breadth of her character. respectful and awed to priam, admiring and loving to hektor. missing deeply her home and her kin. lonely, wishing for companionship from the women around her, missing the 'lovely young women her age' from home. absolutely, utterly disgusted by paris. heartbroken and pitying and remorseful of the men dying in the war. she speaks of how she cannot find her brothers on the battlefield (the brothers who saved her once from abduction, but not now, perhaps because of the shame of being associated with her?). the way she admires the greeks on the battlefield to priam. and her fear but also unrelenting fury towards aphrodite.

none of those are about, at least solely, her beauty! to helen herself as a character, beauty isn't who she is. she is angry, and hurt, and spiteful, and devastated, and i love her for it!!!!!!

Happy STS! Got a wild one for you this time - which of your OCs would kick someone into traffic in a street fight? Who wouldn't, and why?

Jeff definitely would, because for all his carefully crafted "fun and carefree" exterior, he can get very ruthless very quickly when crossed/when you get in his way. Particularly dangerous is that he sees other people as essentially objects (to play with and to discard), he doesn't have a sense of how far is "too far" (read: he also just doesn't care), and he's known to fight dirty.

Seven (from Supernova, I think I've only mentioned her on a couple of occasions) would if she "has to," meaning if it's required or ends up being needed in the context of an action or operation she's doing for the (political) organization she's part of. She'd feel bad about it, though. Along these lines, I think her brother (who's part of the same organization) might as well in similar circumstances, but he's younger and less developed as of now, so I can't say for sure. Also, Seven's very protective of him, so she'd probably try to prevent him from having to do something like that, up to and including doing it herself if she was there.

Gabriel might if he hated or was very angry at the person on the receiving end, but for him it would be the result of poor impulse control, not any kind of thought-out decision, and he'd probably panic and feel really bad afterward (like, "holy shit I can't believe I did that/lost control like that). Some of his existing baggage would largely compound his reaction, and he'd probably fall into a self-loathing spiral of catastrophizing over it.

I don't think any of my other characters would do this unless it was a very extraordinary circumstance (eg. self-defense).

fuck it, finally gonna sit down and try and write out a sorta timeline for Juliette, specifically before she met the 141. This specific to cod, cause it’s where my ideas first started and I need the basis to put that into sw ayayayay:

the short rundown is something like this:

Juliette ‘Regard’ Dione, 35 (at least in cod), 1,93 m and grew up in Paris, has picked up a few languages over her life by now, but it’s all haunted by a strong accent

mother was french, father senegalese, she lost them when she was 12. 

Ambivert, but not something she really realized until later in life because she got used to being alone/sorta disconnected from others. 

Very easily embarrassed and excitable, but you won’t notice because she might not exactly have a resting bitch face, but more of a resting ‘I’m staring into your soul and eating it for breakfast’ face which is what earned her her callsign. 

Terrifying when angry, which you will notice. doesn’t get intimidated by anyone or anything at this point. she knows who she is, she knows what she can do, don’t try her, it’s very annoying and exhausting for her

Can drink enough to kill a horse and gets very squishy and affectionate when drunk. She remembers everything and will be terribly embarrassed about it later.

Doesn’t have an ounce of patriotism, but she can’t imagine herself outside of the military. Very aware that it’s only made everything worse for her. Will say things like ‘at least it’s taught me discipline’ with a sardonic smile. Joined for the money and free housing and thinking she’ll be able to figure out what to do afterwards.

Very good at what she does and completely aware of it too. doesn’t know how to leave and live a civilian life rn though she’s finally starting to make plans about it again

has severe problems with trusting others, especially civilians. Knows her reputation and the things she’s done and really doesn’t want to risk anyone else. 

still only hooked up with complete strangers for the longest time. she didn’t want to be emotionally attached to the person she’s sleeping with. never spends the night though.

bisexual but it never really was a thing of coming out to her. she figured it out during her clubbing days pretty easily. very much a fuck around and find out person

Has a weird nac for picking up various hobbies that she uses to kill time. (currently learning how to crochet. She’s pretty shit at it, but she’s having fun)  

Absolutely terrible cook with the exception of making coffee, which somehow always ends up at least passable. incredibly heavy sleeper, but only if she feels safe. 

Night owl, don’t touch in the morning unless you’re offering her breakfast or are ready for a storm of french cursing. 

Needs to physically exert herself at least twice a week or she’ll go slightly insane. That can be boxing, jogging or fucking rowing for all she cares. Just let her move, she’ll feel like a caged animal otherwise. Doesn’t give a flying fuck about body shape and the like, not unless it’s hindering her in said activities

Very, very competitive about these things. It’s a matter of pride to her and she hates losing in anything sports and it can make her a terrible team player. Not a problem if it’s something she’s just picked up, but her ambition to be good at physical things is very high. 

Very clear at communicating her wants and needs and has no understanding as to why people won’t talk their problems through. Being vague feels like a waste of time to her. 

Will forever and always keep her locs and last name, no matter what. It’s the last reminder of her birth parents.

Has terrible dissociative episodes that leave her sitting in places, eyes wide and unseeing. Best course of action is to have somebody hold her and coax her through it. They only get this bad when off mission, she represses most things on them

She’s the daughter of a senegalese immigrant and a working class mother. lost them age 12 to an accident and went through various foster cares as a result. She subconsciously internalized the idea that she’d die young and never even imagined a future because of that (with a few exceptions).

She now keeps steady contact with her last ‘family’, an elderly couple that had two grown children already when they took her aged 16. They never really got on in her youth, but they were amicable enough that they count as Juliette’s idea of ‘family’. She wrote them like once a year, but made an effort to reconnect in her 30s. They’re on good terms now.

got into a lot of trouble when younger, was an absolute techno fiend and spent most of her nights haunting through parisian clubs. She’s damn lucky she never landed in juvie, and it’s part of how/why she learned to be very sneaky. It got her in hot water with her teachers and caused her foster parents a lot of grief (at least the ones that cared). Had so much anger inside her, which, combined with her difficulty to connect with her peers, would’ve made her a prime target for bullies, but that stopped pretty fast after the fourth nose she broke. she doesn’t remember most of her youth tbh

has problems with making connections with people, something that her clubbing sorta took care of when younger. She tends to look at people like she’s dissecting them and many get quite uncomfortable with it. Doesn’t care who you are, she’ll be completely honest and plainly tell you what she’s thinking, at least when you’re asking her. Communication has never been a problem for her, she doesn’t have the mind for being dishonest or vague. Will simply tell a person if she doesn’t feel comfortable with talking about things though. Calls people out on bullshit, her anger can override a lot of her anxiousness/awkwardness, something she makes use of. Her honesty has put quite a few people off, it’s less a thing of morality than her being socially inept. 

Has gone through enough shit that intimidating her is near impossible, but getting her flustered is very, very easy, though people don’t always notice. Her looking embarrassed translates to her staring into your soul and because she keeps quiet if she doesn’t know how to handle a situation, it gets interpreted as her being slightly unnerving and observing a situation with cold calculation. (If you know what to look for though you’ll see that a good 73 percent of the time she simply doesn’t know how to respond. It can be incredibly hilarious, ngl)

She’s a lot better nowadays, much more comfortable with expressing her emotions and actually learning how to deal with her anxiousness. But social interactions could be an absolute hoot with her, I’ll tell u that. Doesn’t help that she’s terribly paranoid/distrustful, something that’s only gotten worse with her time in the military.      

Joined very young, aged 19, for money and housing reasons, thinking she’d figure out what to do afterwards with the money she’d earn. She didn't want to stay with her foster parents anymore, very conscious and guilty of the trouble she's caused and the constant feeling of disconnect and ‘not right’ got to be too much for her. The military seemed like the next best idea. The few friends she had at that time thought she’d lost her mind and tried to convince her that it's a shite idea, but she'd already gotten her test results back at that point and was offered a plan. She tried keeping in contact during her starting time, but as her joining in on the normal activities would most definitely get her thrown out the instant a health evaluation came through, she didn’t really have much to talk about with them anymore. She later fell completely off the face of the earth when she became a solo operator.

Absolutely no sense of self preservation, terribly reckless when it comes to only herself. Gets very protective of her teammates in fears of losing another person, even if they aren’t ‘close’ in that sense. When on mission, she is likely to try and endanger herself before anyone else gets the chance to do so. Works in acts of service because it’s one of the few ways she feels like she can connect with others. She’s much more comfortable working solo though. Has, as one would expect, an incredibly fucked sense of morality by now. Something something ‘I’ll finish the mission no matter what, protect my own, don’t care if I die anyway, at least I’m good at this’

Found herself a lot when she met her old partner, even before they started to become a thing. They were also military and an incredibly calm fellow, funnily enough helping her work through her more extreme emotions she was so much more prone to back then. They encouraged her to go out together, meet up with people, letting others get closer again. She kinda learned how to be a bit more comfortably social tbh. The both of them went on a few trips together, it’s where she started picking up the habit of birdwatching (it also works as a reminder of all the places they’ve been) and they taught her surfing in Côte d’Azur, both kite and normal. Juliette started imagining a life with them there, maybe opening a small surfing school or something after they were both done with the military. Her problems didn’t go away, but she at least felt like she was living and figuring herself out during that time, trying out new things every chance she got, a habit she keeps up even today. They stepped on a landmine in front of her. It’s where Juliette got the big scar on her back from. 

She got sent off duty to recover for a few months and next to the year after her parents death, she'll count it as the most gut wrenching and haunting time of her life, partly because she actually remembers these weeks instead of the haze that was her youth. She got it into her head that she’s destined to be alone then. Had a terrible depressive episode but returned to the military anyway. It felt like the only place for her at that point and they happily took her back, with her now truly and completely getting lost in her work. She swore off drugs after she had a terrible trip involving hallucinations of her old lover.

Juliette felt bound to the military then, making it her purpose and yes, it’s just as fucked up as you think it is. It’s the one thing she consistently excels at and she knows how good she is and she only got more terrifying after the loss, her becoming a lot more calm in the wake of her thinking that that’s truly her end all now. Very aware of the reputation she's managed to amass and has put quite a few people through the wringer on the matts when they tried to fuck with her. Only made her less approachable to others and a lot of people think she’s a hard ass. Very lonely creature but was for the most part too despondent to care about it, her anger simmering down to be replaced with apathy. Sparring was one of the few places you could see her actually talk shit and emote. 

She got very used and comfortable to her loneliness, spending most of her offshore time on little bird watching trips and visiting clubs again (music will always be one of the few places she can truly lose herself and just shut her brain off) and trying out new food, mostly as a remembrance of their old lover. She still likes surfing and has one or two mates she meets up with, but she had to pick and choose her days when she could manage it emotionally. After two years, she stopped crying and a part was her finally accepting the loss, another was her being too tired to stay so sad about it. It’s a terrifying day, looking back, but she’s well and over their death by now. She made it a point of only hooking up with people that she had no connection with after that.

Most of it is spent waiting for the next mission though, even if she comes back with weird, small hobbies that let her kill the time. (At some point during that time, she started having dissociative episodes when she was emotionally overwhelmed, but as she’s still functional during those, they pose no ‘actual’ problem in the face of her missions.)

But yeah, the whole thing mellowed her out substantially, but it makes the resurfacing of her anger that much more unsettling. She’s more socially apt now, or at least knows how to pretend to be a lot better, but she’s gotten very comfortable with the ‘everything’. She stopped planning for the future by then and goes into every mission expecting the worst.

Pre-trauma KEL Headcanons

A/N: I posted this on my Wattpad but can't leave out the Tumblr users, hope you enjoy! ^^

- Calling it right now he tried to be like HERO. He at some point wanted to do everything that big brother did but obviously couldn't. 

- He'd try to be charming but would fail miserably, he wanted to go to highschool but couldn't, he'd try to cook and bake but couldn't and most likely accidentally set something on fire. Poor kid could hardly do anything that his brother did. :( 

- He was heartbroken when he found out that he couldn't be HERO, don't worry, he moved on pretty quickly, especially after HERO told him that he'd much rather hangout with KEL then another him. 

- The same applies to MARI. He wanted to be her too. But then he remembered she could play piano and he definitely couldn't so he gave up on that one pretty quickly.

- He was a troublesome kid who liked to cause problems, especially for AUBREY and HERO. He didn't find it fun to tease, pick on, or bug SUNNY, BASIL and MARI. He got a good giggle whenever he bugged HERO, as he knew that inside HERO probably found his antics funny... He hoped...

- He loved the reactions AUBREY gives him when he pokes fun at her, and he finds it even funnier to see what responses she would come up with. It was a game between the two of them.

- Likes to tease AUBREY about her crush on SUNNY the most, since it really gets to her. Though he usually ends up with a bruise afterward and is crying to HERO.

- HERO gets AUBREY to apologize but definitely tells KEL that he shouldn't bug her so much and that she had a good reason to be upset at him. 

- Likes to play tag with MARI! He does feel a little bad when her knee starts to hurt though... 

- He likes to climb on HERO, since HERO is so much taller than him it's pretty easy on HERO yet a challenge for KEL! 

- HERO doesn't really like it, he says that it reminds him of "a spider crawling up on me". This just makes it funny to KEL, he usually likes to tap his finger against his brothers back to imitate spiders while he climbs, loves it when HERO totally freaks from this.

- He also likes to climb on his dad who doesn't mind as much as HERO! He usually just ruffles KEL's hair, which KEL hates, because he finds it soooo embarrassing.

- Jokingly flirts with AUBREY, SUNNY, and BASIL (totally not because he sees HERO and MARI do it... P.S. IT IS) 

- Enjoys BASIL's confused, yet flustered, yet embarrassed, yet shy, yet disgusted, yet happy, yet excited, yet angry reaction the most. 

- Likes to mock HERO and MARI's relationship.

- Often encouraging them to kiss along with AUBREY.

- Lets out a mocking "awwww" whenever HERO and/or MARI are worried about each other. 

- Secretly wishes someone would worry about him like that

- He definitely worries for AUBREY in the same way HERO and MARI worry about each other. Doesn't have a crush on her though.

- When at BASIL's house he points at all the different plants and goes "what's this one?" "what's that?" "Ohh! This one looks cool! What's it called?!"

- Probably has diagnosed ADHD.

- He likes to show MARI and HERO things he's found. HERO usually gags if it's a bug, or if literally anything is covered in dirt, or is soaked, he'll gag. MARI's always "Ooh cool find KEL! :D"

- If he finds something he really likes MARI and/or BASIL will help him keep. If it's a bug or something MARI will buy one of those little Dollar Store bug enclosures and help him put things inside of it like leafs, grass and sticks. 

- SUNNY will also join in if it's not a spider, MARI will teach SUNNY a thing or two about bugs and nature if he helps. 

- KEL always lets SUNNY come up with the name for the bug. Though SUNNY usually only names the spiders scary. 

- He has a few of the cheap, crappy enclosures outside in his backyard. HERO reminds him to check if the bugs are dead or not so that if they are they can use the enclosure for other bugs.

- Holds funerals for the bugs. 

- If it's something that's covered in dirt or sand or something of the sort BASIL will help him wash it off and clean it.

- If it's something that can be named KEL will let BASIL name it, though BASIL always says "No! It's yours KEL! You should name it!"

- KEL will keep bugging BASIL until he names it. But to cheer him up after KEL always goes "Me and (name)! Adventure buddies forever! Me and him/her will go on so many adventures together! Thank you BASIL!"

- Is constantly asking his mom for snacks for his friends. He knows MARI and HERO could just make them but he knows that sometimes it must get tiring. His mom always makes little sandwiches with a side celery and cucumber. Maybe apple slices as well. 

- Tells HERO and MARI that it's just because he was feeling really hungry and couldn't wait for them to make food. But MARI knows that he really only wanted to help out and so she teases him for being embarrassed to help.

- KEL hates it, how dare she >:(

- He's not actually all that mad though, he's just over dramatic like that

-  He likes to share his food with SUNNY! SUNNY doesn't eat all that much and KEL doesn't know why, so he hopes that by offering his food to SUNNY he'll eat more. 

- Other than MARI he's one of SUNNY's biggest encouragement providers, often trying to get SUNNY out of his comfort zone and try new things! But SUNNY usually only freaks out and runs to his sister. KEL can only pout at this.

- Has successfully convinced BASIL that he indeed has a watermelon for a head.

- Likes to go "You have a spider in your hair!" to HERO and AUBREY. He laughs when he sees them freak out. Though AUBREY always does it back to him, which KEL says is not at all fair.

- Doesn't like it when his brother teases or bugs him back, which happens a lot.

- "KEL screams like a girl!" Is what AUBREY likes to tease him about, and he finds that one to be the most embarrassing. 

- Is jealous of his brother sometimes, because HERO seems to be good at everyone which KEL doesn't find fair at all. 

- Often has scrapes and bruises all over himself, he seems like the type of kid to trip a lot because he's clumsy. 

- Definitely a scab picker, which both his mom and brother lecture him not to do. But he can't help it!

[Lloyd on the matter of being left behind, and the people who have done it.]

Lloyd knows what being left behind is like.

He's been abandoned by his family one, two, three, too many times to count. 

He's four and his dad is leaving the house, and his mother is screaming and crying at the same time. His dad doesn't look back as the door slams behind him, and Lloyd faintly wonders when he'll come back.

He's seven, and his mom is standing by the Darkley's door, gazing at him with a emotion he can't understand. Lloyd doesn't like it. Then she turns without taking his hand, and he understands what's going on. She's leaving him, just like his dad left him before, cold and angry, like the kids leave him in the playground dirty and alone.

(He listens to her make excuse after excuse, year after year of him being distant and cold, but the blame still stays, festering away at old memories.)

The principal brings him in, sobbing and screaming and kicking, and he cries for a long time. 

Then Lloyd's nine, and people in bright uniforms are leaving him grasping at wooden beams helplessly, and it's tall and he's scared but he's the son of Lord Garmadon and he isn't supposed to be this terrified. He spits bitter insults and threats to hide his rising terror, and watches them leave like everyone seems to do. 

He's nine and a half, and watching his dad come back and leave him again, eyes glinting a horrifying scarlet red. He hates how he's bad now, sporting weapons and henchmen, and his smiles don't reach his eyes. Then he leaves, with the Golden Weapons, and Lloyd wonders if they're more important than him. 

(Probably. His dad seemed to want to take a lot of measures to get rid of him, now.)

Zane sacrifices himself to defeat the Overlord, and Lloyd stands at his statue, watching it shine against the sky. He wishes he could've been the one to leave instead of the nindroid. His teammates follow Zane away, to different jobs and lives and times, all without him. 

(It's his fault. He should've been stronger, faster, smarter, figured out a way to defeat the Overlord without risking the lives of everyone else.)

He watches his uncle leave in a tornado of broken time and magic, and takes out his anger on searching for hope he'll come back. 

He's thirteen or fourteen or fifteen, and his dad is standing there, eyes sad and tired, and Sensei Wu is picking up a book that's all too familiar. He runs, leaving someone else alone for once, but returns to watch his dad leave because he knows it would be more painful to part without a goodbye. 

Afterward he cries, like he's seven and thrown into Darkley's again, and Kai hugs him tight and whispers quiet 'it's gonna be okay's' into his ears. Lloyd knows it's not going to be okay, though. It's sweet, empty promises and he's made his peace with that a long time ago. 

He's fourteen or fifteen or sixteen, and Harumi leaves him, throwing one last vengeful remark from under that violent mask before kicking out the wall. He hates her, and he hates how he still loves her, and he hates how everyone he loves leaves him. 

(He thinks some of him still does.)

She leaves him a second time, in a mess of burning bricks and glass, and he watches the building go down, silently crying. 

Nya holds him after they find her body in the rubble, and says nothing because she knows how it feels to have someone you love die before your eyes, and that nothing can really mend the pain.

He's waking up, head a hurricane of panic and fear and worry, and part of him still wonders if Garmadon is still there. Lloyd barely needs to glance around the courtyard to know he's left, and then wonders why he still hopes he'll stay, one day. 

Zane disappeared in a vortex of glowing purple and blue, and it's a long time of being alone until Lloyd finds him again, cold and changed in the Never Realm. He tries his best to bring him back, though, because he knows what it's like to lose your way. 

(He knows it, painfully well, learned after years of years of figuring out his own destiny.)

And after Nya leaves, bright water swirling from the last corners of Ninjago City, he leaves. 

Lloyd's too tired of being the one constantly left behind, abandoned without a thought. Making friends and eventually, family, just keeps leading to pain, and he guesses the only logical decision to make is... to stop. 

He's exhausted of being the responsible one. Of having to pull the team back together after uncountable tragedies, drag his family through catastrophe, one after another without end.    

If taking his own way is what it takes to get rid of the hurt and the pain that never seems to stop coming, he'll do it. 

(He can't help but feel like he's still left behind, though.)

my mom and i got in a huge fight yesterday which is a generous description of what was basically me being clumsy and knocking over a lamp and her berating me, implying i was stupid at one point because i forgot the word for remote, and then saying i was too incompetent to take care of the house while they're out of town. obviously i was distraught by the whole thing and i said lately everything i do seems to irritate you and she snapped back that i called her five times the other day to complain (it had been a weird day- milk exploded in my fridge/power line went out/etc. and these conversations didn't last long beyond the normal check in i've been doing because, you know, i'm sick). but i do call a lot and i can't do all of the things she wants me to so it's not like i can really argue back or defend myself especially when it's a "what you're doing rn is hurtful" and she slams back with "well here are all the things you do wrong" instead of having any sort of productive conversation. i think it's the fact that i'm not getting better and she's tired of it and i'm not going to get into everything here because it's too much but i can be understanding and also reach my own breaking point because instead of communicating with me about her frustrations she went into a tirade that was just disproportionate with the situation and also just incredibly damaging. i left and told them i hope they had a good trip. after a nice long cry session and then a conveniently timed therapy appt i opted instead of shooting her a message asking for space (my best friend's idea which i shot down because i know her response would be passive aggressive and turn the blame back on me) or going with my initial impulse which was just to not talk to either of my parents at all but let the silence fester (also a bad idea because i would just sit in my feelings) i opted to text my dad and say i hope you have a safe trip but i won't be reaching out. i'll be fine but if there's an emergency i'll let them know and they should call if they need something. that way my dad could pass it on to my mom and i could just... try and piece my peace together.

so tell me why i just got a call from her checking in like nothing happened? i said i was doing fine and then ended the call a minute later. i've mentioned before that whenever she does something wrong she just brushes it aside and acts like i should just get over it and i'm being unreasonable but yesterday was just... completely too much for me. idek if i expect an apology but i definitely want space. i'm putting this here bc i was shifting wildly between i did the right thing and i'm a horrible person before i even got that call and now i'm spiraling again because i hate conflict especially with my parents and especially because rn i can't do anything literally so i feel so guilty with everything involving them because, you know, they're supporting me rn because fucking covid fucking disabled me. and if i thought communicating these feelings with her would work then i'd do it but i've tried and i always am the one who ends up apologizing and then being resentful afterwards and i'm tired. i'm so tired.

anyways i'm just sharing this so i don't sit in my internal dialogue of guilt that i wasn't immediately forthcoming or wanting to talk to brush it aside which has been our pattern my whole life. i'm allowed to be hurt and angry. i just need to remind myself of that.

i'm trying to avoid the impulse to defend her bc ofc she's done so much for me and i know i'm not perfect and blah blah blah because that's not the point rn. the point is that i'm hurt and and i'm angry and i can feel these feelings without temporizing them.

How do you think the strain-created MikoRei purple king daughter will fare in the events after season 1 when Reisi kills Mikoto? What would she be like in Missing Kings, Return of Kings, and afterwards?

After season one happens I guess we can congratulate her on finally being a full-fledged member of the K cast now that she has her own tragic backstory :D I imagine Munakata would be very direct and honest with her, that Mikoto’s dead and that Munakata was the one who killed him. Munakata maybe expects the child to be angry with him and he’s prepared for that but she just nods and hugs him, and says before Mikoto left her with Munakata he said ‘whatever happens, don’t hate that guy, okay? You’ll make him cry. I need you to keep an eye on him so he doesn’t do anything stupid.” Munakata is somewhat miffed that even when he’s dead Mikoto is still mocking him but he supposes he should show some appreciation, that Mikoto was thinking of their kid’s future even if he paid no care to his own. I think Awashima would be even more worried about Munakata’s mental state though, because it seems like he’s made perfect peace with what he had to do and all that but is he really just trying to show a face to everyone else because he doesn’t want his kid to be upset. And maybe Munakata does actually let it slip once or twice but only in front of the kid, like he’s putting her to bed and she asks about Mikoto and Munakata starts muttering about how that stubborn man wouldn’t let Munakata handle things before realizing the girl is staring at him and he just gives her a pleasant smile as if everything is fine. 

I think Munakata would be trying to keep the girl mostly out of the line of fire during MK and even ROK, like leaving her with Yoshino or some other S4 rank and file to keep an eye on. The girl is feeling a little lonely and wants to help her dad but Munakata keeps assuring her that everything is fine and he’s just very busy with his job. The girl asks about his Sword and Munakata expresses a moment of surprise before remembering that she’s also a King too after all, and he tells her that he hopes nothing bad will happen (not quite lying maybe, because Munakata isn’t the type to lie, but rather stepping carefully around the truth). Imagine while Munakata’s at Mihashira one day too the girl ends up sitting with Fushimi and asking him if he’s worried about her dad, Fushimi clicks his tongue and says he isn’t worried at all but also tells her to keep an eye on him so he doesn’t do anything stupid. She says that ‘Papa Mikoto’ told her the same thing and Fushimi grimaces like well for once he said something worthwhile. 

When the alliance forms Shiro mentions to Munakata that he heard there’s another King in S4 and wonders if she will be part of the alliance too, Munakata says there is no need to bring her into it. Assuming the girl is even younger than Anna here I think Munakata wouldn’t want to bring her into a dangerous situation and the other Kings would likely agree. But then imagine when Munakata gets fired before he leaves S4 he tells the girl to stay with Awashima. When Awashima decides to go after Munakata with the alphabet squad the girl grabs her skirt and says she wants to come too, Awashima tries to get her to stay and she stubbornly says that her dad told her to stay with Awashima. Awashima decides to allow her to come along and imagine when the squad all show up to save Munakata she even uses some of her power. Oh or maybe she’s become a King but they’ve never really known what her power is, it isn’t until Munakata’s Sword begins to crumble that she runs to him and starts to glow purple. Her power creates like a ‘force field’ that keeps Munakata’s Sword intact and he realizes she’s bought them time to destroy the Slate, her power like even healing some of the cracks so Munakata can fight fully without fear. When Munakata briefly sees Mikoto’s image as Anna uses her power he thinks it’s just his mind playing tricks on him and then he hears the girl say ‘I kept an eye on him, just like I promised’ and Munakata chuckles quietly, thinking perhaps Suoh left more of himself behind than Munakata thought.

Greetings from the hospital. This is going to be long, partially because I need to distract myself from the pain and my thoughts. Currently nursing a broken arm and a bunch of lesser fractures - given the alternative is being dead, I’m pretty lucky. 

We got ambushed in the evening by a group called Absolute Radiance. They were the reason we got attacked by the smaller groups the day before; they spread a rumor we had some sort of treasure. And after we were weakened, they attacked us at night.

Sasha was the main fighter that day, trying to protect everyone and using the Relic as a catalyst for her powers. It wasn’t enough. The enemy came well-prepared with a combination of sleep magic and some sort of silencing ward, and they were killing people without giving them a chance to fight back. By the time we were able to mount a counterattack, it was far too late.  

I got tricked during the battle. Tried to ambush the leader only to discover he was well prepared for a sneak attack. Got myself blasted into a tree - and from the accounts of the few that lived, I was pretty much near death. Traditional healing no longer helped, so they used the Relic instead to save me. 

...I don’t get it. I’m grateful they saved me. But why me? Sasha could’ve used it to save more of the Cult. I’m not even a true believer - I even cussed out their so-called goddess in my head when things got really bad - exact words being “ ‘what sort of shitty goddess lets their believers die like this?!’’ - and I got angry on behalf of the cult.  

I didn’t expect the response I got back though - a very confused one too: “are you...talking to me? i’m not sure what you want, but if you need help...”

And then everything Stopped. Nothing was moving except for me. She stopped time for everyone but myself. The status effect name wasn’t something you’d expect though - instead of Haste or Stop or something time-related, it was < Between the Lines >. Yet another narrative term.

But that wasn’t even the craziest thing. The real kicker was the other boon I was granted called < Last Word >. I was allowed to “revise Reality” once. 

...It’s funny. I thought of Nata when I saw the description of that status effect in my Log. And then Crowley afterwards. Sorta a nagging feeling that I could do better than “kill everyone” with the opportunity given. I did think of something better - I tried to turn back time, y’know so that the Nameless Cult never entered that treasure grotto in the first place. 

It failed. Apparently I didn’t have enough Faith left in the Relic to turn back time. Couldn’t kill them all either for some reason. And also didn’t have enough Faith to teleport everyone away. In the end, I sorta sped things up - well, the actual content of the Revision was to remove the time / events between then and the moment everyone in the Grotto is forced to teleport out because following my world’s weird narrative logic, I figured deleting stuff is the lowest effort way to revise something. 

That sorta brings us to now.

I’m feeling pretty grateful towards Nata and Crowley right now. Because even though it didn’t work - my attempt to turn back time - at least I can say I tried my best with what I’ve been given. 

I mean, let’s say I didn’t pause and think about doing that - and somehow still managed to live. I’m pretty sure I would’ve realized I could’ve used that power like that eventually. And I would’ve hated myself for not realizing it. That would’ve hurt a lot, a “could’ve been” I can do without. 

So yeah...thanks.
