am i the asshole for fakeclaiming a subsystem?

To start, we have cdid, and a lot of our headmates are part of subsystems, we very likely have sidesystems, and overall its a big mess. Recently a headmate of ours has been grappling with the fact that he might be a subsystem because of how he formed. (several fragments fused, which is how a lot of our "introjects" form) This doesn't really make sense to me. First off, he doesn't really show defining traits of being a subsystem, between the several fragments he has all their personality traits simultaneously, not switching visibly, no changes in personality, no outside changes in anything. When we cofront, he doesn't ever change, and when we have blurriness its just Him and whoever else, not a part of him and whoever else. I told him the truth, that it's very unlikely that he's a subsystem, that we would be able to tell if he was, etc. He, of course, didn't take that well. Now half of the system is on my ass about how it's not my place to decide that (it is, I am one of the alters who holds all the information about our system, which others don't believe (due to me also being one of our main protectors)) and that I have to apologize, which I did but I remained firm that he's not a subsystem. He literally just isn't. He feels like one because he's a fusion of several fragments, not because he is one, and to falsely put it to memory that he is a subsystem (just to appease him) would likely put us back further in our attempt at recovery & functional multiplicity.

Inception

When a sisasystem(link) has its own sisasystem, for example a subsystem having its own subsystem. While it could be used to refer to differing system types (such as a sidesystem having a subsystem), it was meant to refer to the same type of system (a sidesystem having a sidesystem). This inception has no limit and as long as a sisasystem has a sisasystem, this term may be used.

It may also be used to refer to one of these incepted systems, such as “our inception subsystem” or “our incepted subsystem” to refer to a subsystem within a subsystem.

Is it possible for there to be a system within a system?

Yep! These are called subsystems. They may be different in function and structure from the rest of the system, or they may be about the same, just with whatever added complexities come with being a system within a system. For example, the SZC (Sub-Zero Constellation) is a subsystem in our system. They're pretty different from how we tend to work as a system, but they can still experience switching, co-fronting, and all that other stuff that comes with being a system – they even have their own personal innerworld! Meanwhile, the Raffle [Sub]system is another subsystem in our system, and their system structure is extremely simple compared to the SZC, who have a very complex system structure.

Not all subsystems choose to name themselves in this format, but ours generally choose to so we have an easier time organizing information about them.

Edit: @awful-roffle reminded me of sidesystems in the notes, so if you want to know more, anon, I recommend you look into sisasystems! "Sisasystem" is an umbrella term for phenomena/groups in systems like this, including subsystems, sidesystems, and more!

Plural Coining Post: Conglomerate

I hadn't seen this term coined yet, so I wanted to do so, as we use this to describe ourselves!

A conglomerate is a type of system that at one point had greater separation of parts (i.e. multiple or median) but has since undergone an incomplete fusion to where the same individuals are still there, not reintegrated together, but the system essentially functions as a singlet.

Perhaps the term "facing" could be used instead of fronting, where there's not a distinct change, but a different "angle" of the conglomerate facing the world.

This term could work for subsystems or sisasystems as well!

Intro post because why not (UPDATED)

we are the cat collective. we are a DID system that is mixed origins (further explanation in post). we are brainmade-heavy, alterhuman-heavy, and nonhuman-heavy/syspet-heavy. most of us are either non-human or alter-human in some form (or both).

Endo beliefs:

we are pro-endo. end of discussion. we would prefer to avoid syscourse asks but we may make the occasional syscourse post (will be tagged as syscourse)

Terms to use:

we use I+/me+ or we/us usually but may use I/me. he/it + neos are our collective pronouns, we are neutral on they/them though. we also prefer masc, neutral, xeno/xenic, and non-human terms for the most part.

Our system:

we are mixed origins and have DID. our "original" origin is trauma, making us traumagenic, we experienced childhood trauma that caused our plurality but over time we developed more origins and our system functions have changed. we consider ourselves semi-disordered/most disordered (cause DID is a disorder and we are only semi recovered). we are also polyplural with a couple sisasystems (mainly subsystems and clusters). we won't get too into our trauma or anything. we understand internet safety enough for that.

Some info about us collectively:

we are autistic + medium support needs (as stated in our bio) which may affect how we interact. we also have synesthesia (emotional, slight visual-touch, + maybe more?), dyscalculia, OCD, and a lot of mental health issues. we have occasional psychosis episodes so any ableist rhetoric towards anyone is not tolerated here.

Welcome to Dyslexiboxes!

This blog is run by @lesboylycan, a polyfragmented multi-origins spiritual collective with DID and dyslexia, among many other things. This blog is aimed towards fellow plurals and neurodivergents, and our userboxes will be made to be easy to read.

This blog is a safe space for endogenic, multi-origins, and spiritual & metaphysical plurals; good-faith IDs (lesboys, gaybians, mspec monos, etc); schizo-/psychosis-spectrum folks and folks with personality disorders; and alterhumans and nonhumans, including physical alter/nonhumans. DNI if any of these are in your DNI or you otherwise cannot say the same. We are anti-fakeclaiming and anti-harassment; if you cannot say the same about yoursel[f/ves], DNI. We use the block button liberally.

Radfems are not welcome under any circumstances. I don't care if you're "trans-inclusionary"; radical feminism cannot be reclaimed in any way that doesn't end up hurting marginalized people. The core pillar of radical feminism is a hatred of men for the sake of being men; no matter how you spin it, there is no possible way to make it "good".

General Guidelines

> All userboxes will come with an alt ID, formatted as "A userbox that states '[x]'. On the left in the image box is a/the [photo/flag/drawing/etc] depicting [y]".

> You can request different fonts for userboxes, but the default will be OpenDyslexic. The only alterations we will otherwise make to the text is changing the color and adding an outline to make it as easy to read as possible. You can also send different font types if you want something other than OpenDyslexic, but aren't sure for certain what specific font you want (serif, sans serif, script, or decorative).

> If you want a specific image, please either send the image or a link to it as part of your request; otherwise, we will pick based on what we think will be most thematically appropriate. Plural coining: Wishbased

Wishbased, also known as wishtien, is a term that refers to systems (, sisasystem, subsystems or any other plural grouping) whose structure, functioning, member count, architecture, etc is influenced by wishes in some way, shape or form Examples of a wishbased system could be (but are not limited to): - a system who wished for new members to form and then as a result gained new members - an introtive who wished for a sourcemate and consequently the system introjected a member from the same source - a headmate who wished to explore and then the system gained a new area of the innerworld/headspace/etc to explore/discover (This includes subconscious or unconscious wishes as well as intentional ones!) This term is for anyone who wants to use it in good faith

Focus

The sisasystem which is actively in front.

When two sisasystems are fronting simultaneously in a sort of constellation front, the focus is divided between the two.

When a particular sisasystem is in focus, it's usually easier for members of that sisasytem to front, and harder for other members not a part of that sisasystem.

We coined this term specifically in regards to our experience of having simultaneous fronters from both our main system and our sidesystem, as we felt like the front's 'focus' shifted between us, but it is not exclusive to systems with sidesystems

Fencedspace

PT: Fencedspace /End PT

Fencedspace refers to a headspace that is centered or located aroun/in a specific member. It can be located within a different headspace, but feels separated from it while not being completely disconnected, and is not caused by being a sisasystem. It is often difficult or impossible for others to get into. It may also have certain requirements for others to access, such as permission from the member it's centered around or a special ability/attribute like being a gatekeeper.

A Fencedspace may be shared between a couple members in certain circumstances that do not make it a sisasystem.

Personalspace is another word for Fencedspace.

Sector applies to distinct areas in headspace that are separate and function differently, but have few travel and communication problems and are not centered around a specific member.

Layer is similar, however it is more separate and disconnected, and not centered around a specific member. It is also often a lot larger.

We chose Fencedspace due to ours feeling very fenced and gated, making it separate but not disconnected. Personalspace was chosen as an alternative, especially for those who don't feel theirs is as restricted (though not exclusive to them), and it focuses more on the key aspect of it being centered on a specific member.

According to Pluralpedia, “A concord is a headmate, identity, trait, concept, function, etc. that is shared among a system, sisasystem, or group that all or most members are deeply connected to, or feel represented by. This may be something all members originated from or are directly connected to, something that is shared, or even the intersection of all members within such a group.” Many folks may find that they have some sort of concord as a member, identity, or trait in their system. So here’s to all the systems out there with concords!
