I had always wondered....Can Gaara get a vaccine? Can he get an IV? Could he get stitches if he needed them?????!!!

I had a bit of a soft head canon that because it is Karura's will that is manipulating the sand, she would only protect him from wounds that were ill intentioned or accidental. I also feel that in very particular and ultra specific circumstances, perhaps Gaara himself can get passed the sand barrier.

For example, Gaara got passed his sand barrier in a fit of rage and anguish, such as when he carved the kanji into his forehead. Also, in part 1 he is shown wearing multiple earrings...Something that could be him trying to experience pain on his own by piercing himself, and to which his mom was probably like "Um...I was twelve once too so go ahead, I guess."

As for medical procedures, I don't think Karura's will would get in the way. For example, if Gaara needed surgery, stitches, an IV or even a vaccine I'm certain his mother would feel the intention behind the "harm" and just let it be, as in that instance the "wound" would be for his own good.

Or maybe Gaara is just lucky and won't ever have to face such "pain to gain" situations.

This would actually be a good question for Kishimoto because it's a pretty interesting topic....

Also to go off on another tangent...

I think Gaara actually knew what pain felt like, even before Sasuke (or Lee) injured him.

For example, developing muscles hurts, getting knocked down hurts, losing baby teeth hurts, sometimes even just living causes you to ache or feel slight pains. You aren't injured by any means, but you do still feel pain.

I think Gaara knew what pain felt like (including the pain in his heart), but because there was so much superstition around his sand barrier, perhaps the people around him misinformed him about what pain actually was.

Perhaps Gaara knew he could feel internal pain (tooth ache, muscle pain, upset stomach) but he discredited it as not being "pain" because he thought he couldn't be injured like everyone else.

Since he was raised in isolation, I could see how someone like Gaara may not draw correlations between how someone else may feel similar to him, especially when he's constantly reminded about how different he is from everyone else. Thus Gaara may not experience internal pain as "pain" but "strong discomfort."

This then built into part of his ego, and is the main reason he was so obsessed with fighting and eliminating Sasuke, because Gaara felt that only Sasuke was strong enough to diminish this reputation, and if Gaara would've killed him he would have confirmed his own strength and "existence."

König SFW Headcannons PT.2: The Fangirl Strikes Back

This one was written without adderall, sleep, or sanity so forgive me for any mistake. I wrote most of it before the ball drop last night and I was off my meds and on the weed.

Disclaimer: This one contains alot more subjects concerning war and injuries, nothing crazy. But be conscious.

-Loves swimming and baths to relieve back pain but is often too big for bathtubs. Sometimes he takes a day off just to stay in a hotel with a jacuzzi.

-He had a stutter growing up. But he went to speech therapy and it only come out when he's angry or otherwise stressed. It's incredibly frusterating to him and he will just stop talking if he stutters too much.

-The stripes under his eyes are from a bleach pen. After getting pepper sprayed in the eyes he was left with some streaky orange stains on his mask. He took a bleach pen to it in his haste to get them off. He did cry about ruining his mask for days. Opting for a black baklava until one of his teammates took pity on him and filled it in to make the quintessential 'tears' on his mask. It took the team another 3 days to convince him it looked cool.

-He had really good eyesight before he joined the military, but being an insertion specialist means entering first. Whichever flashbangs, gasses, you name it and it's probably happened. He wears contacts now but at home he has a pair of square frame reading glasses that he hides from everyone.

-The first time he got pepper sprayed was by an American tourist in Austria when he was 15. He tried to return the card she left at a bakery and she thought he was following her. They both apologized profusely after she washed out his eyes and took him to the emergency clinic.

-His first date when he was 17 turned out to be a prank. A girl in his class asked him out and he waited at the shopping center they were supposed to meet at for nearly 2 hours before he left.

-He doesn't talk alot because when his voice was first cracking the kids in class would mock him, which would make him stutter, which would make him cry.

-He was scouted by KorTac after a few years in the military and joined because of the flexibility to choose his own team and no longer work for the government (which didn't always agree with his tactics)

-König came out of his shell after he joined KorTac, making closer bonds with those around him. He's still got anxiety but he's more willing to go out and do things now that he's got freinds to protect him.

-König's favorite Bakery is across the street from his apartment in Berlin. He goes every single day. One time he was sick for a whole week and the Bakery owner nearly broke down his door in worry. (He always tells him when he's going on 'trips')

-Has caught covid twice because he forgets to wear a kn95 mask under his hood.

-Cries alot when he's sick and always calls his grandma for advice (vics vaporub and pastina).

-Quiet anger, except on the battlefield where it becomes explosive.

- Earned the nickname könig by winning a game of king of the hill during basic.

-Before that they just called him 'biest' and he hated it.

-Honestly really likes anime. Especially escapism anime like isekai.

-Has a surprisingly low alcohol tolerance, not due to inexperience or anything, he's just not a huge drinker.

i still cant stop thinking about amephil because i literally have no idea how theyll be interacting in canon lmao so here’s just some approaches:

the awkward exes: piri and america just have no idea how to interact with each other anymore, so they default to being unerringly and diplomatically polite. they try to ignore each other outside of official functions, and get extremely flustered when forced to talk to each other in casual settings. everyone else knows that they have history together, but they avoid talking about it so much that nobody tries bringing it up

distant, annoying acquaintance: piri and america get along really well! they’re the best of chums! they’re so similar that they’re almost always on the same page! but they also don’t really bother to catch up personally, like they’ll hang out if they see each other but won’t particularly go out of their way to be with each other. the reason for this is because they annoy each other too easily when theyre stuck together for more than a few hours. they were housemates once and they swore never to do it again.

frenemies: piri and america are ridiculously familiar with each other, due to having lived together for decades when piri was still america’s colony -- a fairly unique relationship that only piri has with america. but because they have so much baggage, every time they interact with each other ends up in a lot of polite-on-the-surface-but-teeming-with-frustration-beneath bickering. they care for each other, which is fairly evident in how they keep seeking each other out just to annoy each other, but you can’t catch them ever admitting it

frenemies with Angst (TM): same as above, but now piri and america are angsty because deep down they really want to reconcile but feel like the other won’t be receptive to it. piri sees america being mean to him as america seeing their past friendship as something he regrets and would rather entirely forget about. america sees piri being mean to him as piri being too bitter about their rocky past to ever see him as an honest friend. there’s still a lot of unprocessed feelings from their history they’re still internally conflicted about, and they get reminded of it every time they see each other. but they have to keep the image of being the airheaded, happy nation, so they just continue to act as belligerent friends.

the friends that act like lovers: piri and america are intensely showy about how affectionate they are to each other. they’re in each other’s social media posts all the time, and america always has his arm draped over piri’s shoulder, and piri keeps calling america these cute pet names, and america is always buying piri gifts, and piri always defends america in conversation... everyone assumes theyre a thing? but theyre really not and laugh off any suggestion of it.

fuck buddies: piri and america are diplomatic allies, and as far as everyone else knows, thats all there is to their relationship. but also, sometimes, england has to visit america to talk about business stuff and piri is the one that walks out of america’s bedroom (and serves him tea, because he’s real hospitable like that). and sometimes indonesia has to pick up piri to go the next asean hangout/party and piri is clearly wearing america’s dress shirt. when asked, neither piri or america ever really give a serious answer and just joke around it.

idiots in pining: piri and america are frustrated! piri cant really explain why he still likes being around america so much even though he has every reason to positively hate his guts! america cant really explain why he still tries caring for piri even though he doesnt really have the obligation to do that anymore! oh, whatever can explain the way they hearts beat like crazy when they’re next to each other or the way they constantly seek out the other’s touch! oh, but unfortunately, piri thinks america still has a thing for russia while america thinks that piri and indonesia are together. what do you mean this burning pain they feel in their chest sounds like jealousy? 

divorced: piri and america are perfectly genial to each other at official functions but fight like hell everywhere else. and their fights always end up being so painfully personal too, with stuff like “why did you betray me?” or “you always said you’d be by my side!” getting thrown out every so often. you’d laugh about how melodramatic they can get but they look so heartwrenchingly pained at each argument that you just feel sad. their friends try to ensure they never meet, if they can help it. they love each other, but the trust between them is just so irrevocably broken that they’ll never truly get over it.

how... do i not spoil things. u have to have patience with his writing. i promise he is more than like.. manic pixie leftist cop boy. u just have to have patience. boy wears his heart on his sleeve. but also he has a bunch of plastic wrap around it. u can see his heart it is the textbook definition of on his sleeve. but it is obscured and u cannot reach it. every day before i sleep i get on my knees and pray that people have faith in his writing and don't think the way he's written is cringefail.

i cant remember if this factoid has come up but i dont think it has in any posts. tsu's hair is like.... really choppy, if u brushed it out/took a straightener to it to get it all flat, you'd see its alll different lengths. bc he tends to get twigs and sticks and the like stuck in there and just. cuts hair off/"oh this bit is too long! *snip*" a lot. that being said it looks oddly intentional/u cant tell its a million different lengths with how he styles it. he will cry if anyone tries to drag him to a hair stylist.

headcanons for the adult camp camp characters part 1 nerriston/performance trio because i love them with all of my heart ever

preston ends up working at a local theatre as the primary director there!! the theatre's actors usually consist of high school students and the theatre ends up hosting a lot of larger high school or college plays, and preston has pressured quite a few colleges into doing some of his favorite plays. the happiest hes ever been was when he got to direct a heathers play. he literally came home and shoved the script in harrison and nerris' faces out of excitement.

harrison works as a magician at the same theatre. he did a few shows in other theatres, a few times in vegas. he wants to become a famous magician, (as preston does a famous actor), but likes his life where it is right now and wouldnt want to be moving all of the time for shows. plus, hes terrified of being seen as a freak of some sort of ridiculed. he does bigger shows every so often, dont think he doesnt, but he mainly does shows in his city.

nerris' job is in marketing. she hates it a lot but performance doesnt bring as much money in as theyd like so they have to put in effort. theyre honestly happy with it because while the job itself sucks, she likes seeing harrison and preston be able to do their own crafts.

nerris did not want a dog. preston and harrison found a dog being given away in a walmart parking lot. and thus, nerris woke up to a dog in their home. harrison named him mantacore after the roy and siegfried's tiger yk the one. he is a samoyed. he sleeps on the bed with them.

they dont have kids ever mostly because i really dont like kids im sorry but i feel as though preston would see a child and go "ew" and nerris is the only one with actually good parents so 2/3 of the kids parents would just not know what to do. soooo no kids

nerris binds but never gets top surgery!! this is mostly because some days they dont really get dysphoria, and they still like appearing feminine from time to time (though neutral is definitely their style like 75% of the time). this headcanon is made by me, someone who binds but does not want to get top surgery, half projecting onto nerris

there are three bookshelves in the living room. you can tell whos is whos because one is filled with percy jackson and narnia and other fantasy books, another has every script to every play in existence ever as well as analysis books of creative theatre, and one has like four magic related books and mostly stores props. not to say harrison doesnt read, but he mostly steals from nerris' shelf when he wants to read.

every summer, the performance trio (along with the other adult campers) hangs out at camp campbell. the camp shut down after the kids all became adults, mostly because nobody wanted to send their kids to a camp known for being a money laundering scheme, housing a known criminal (cameron campbell), overall a big scam, and because the amount of fbi helicopters flying to the camp was enough to drive everyone else away. it was a miracle the campers were allowed to come back there the following summers.

as adults, the campers are all relatively good friends. dolph moved to germany, but he visits whenever he can, and neil is gone a lot doing research projects in different countries, but the campers still live relatively close together and hang out a lot. i cant see a universe where they stop talking after camp

in honor of the camp, and also because yellow grew on them after a while, yellow is still a color most of the campers wear pretty often, except for max, dolph, and space kid.

harrison is still scared of quartermaster. how is he not dead yet. it has been a decade. he looked old when david was a kid. why is he still here. what the fuck was up with that space octopus. what does he know.

Grey wardens and their nightmares am i right ? Both of them had really bad nightmares before killing the archdemon, but Aila suffered from nightmares most of her life already. They morphed her fears of her father, of the circle, n everything she went through there, with the archdemon stuff n it rlly fucked her up. She’d toss and turn and scream herself awake, on these occasions Alistair wraps his arms around her and brings her to his chests, stroking her hair gently. He’d hush her and reassure her of where she was, safe with him.

when Aila was not able to sleep (which was most of the time), she would see alistair struggling in his sleep, and get as close as she could to him with her ear against his heart and hug him gently, listening as his heartbeat and breathing became calm again.

7. Would they build a pillow fort together just because?

Sera would say some shit about them to tease him and hed just grab Ada and smooch her. At first Adahlen was actually so nervous about it though, like she wants to do pda but shes like “oh no what if he doesnt, will he think im weird, oh gods oh fuck” coz sadness alert, solas is her first love, lonely baby. But while she’s distracted vibrating from anxiety, he would just grab her hand and kiss her head as hes really perceptive of her emotions.
