Stanley just, keeps tricking Bill. Because Bill would definitely massively underestimate Stanley and how far he’ll go to protect Ford (like in the actual show). We also know Stanley has the street smarts between the twins and could absolutely tell Bill is full of it.

tired: fox has never done anything wrong in his life he was under control of the chip he didn't mean to kill fives he would never do that

wired: fox was being deliberately, continuously manipulated by palpatine into doing anything he wanted under threat of severe bodily harm, no chip necessary

inspired: fox is a product of brainwashing and genuinely believes in the senate and the republic, which is in constant conflict with the rhetoric he hears from politicians and his general dislike of senators, but that conflict is ultimately irrelevant. he believes in the institution with his entire self. he was born to die for this system and would lose his shit if he started questioning it in any meaningful way. The Institution told him to kill fives so he killed fives, it told him to hunt down ahsoka so he did it, etc etc. conviction that this is all worth it because the republic Can Only Be Right (or else his entire existence and everything the guard puts up with are meaningless) is what gets his ass out of bed in the morning. he'll do terrible things to protect it, and by extension his sense of self, and he won't apologize for it because it's categorically Right in his brain. none of this changes the fact that he's routinely abused by this system, or the fact that he's enslaved by it, or that he has no real choice in anything, only how he personally reconciles it all

To me, Machete kind of has the energy of a secondary villain/coldhearted side character in someone else's story that a lot of fans latch onto, moreso than the protagonist. Question is, would he be the villain in anyone's story?

Why, thank you! I'm actually glad to hear he gives off that vibe. I don't think he set out to become a villain but a lot of people certainly view him as one.

'Listen to x voices' should mean not automatically disregarding a female, gay, black, asian etc persons views, and not that people should grovel and defer to others because they said so.

The girl who caused me to have panic attacks accused me of bullying her.

The girl who tried to push her way between me and my man, out of jealousy and for her own sick entertainment, accused me of being mean to her out of jealousy.

The girl who manipulated and used me for years accused me of manipulating her.

The girl who was rude and cold toward me for no reason accused me of being rude to her for no reason.

This is one of their most effective tactics.

When you try to defend yourself with THE TRUTH—basically "no, you"—others think you are the one grasping at straws for a defense. Bystanders hear you say it's actually her doing that and they think "well why didn't you say something earlier, if she was doing that to you?" For that reason they think you are just lazily trying to turn it around on her as your defense. They doubt you and they side with her.

Her story is true. She just swapped the victim and the aggressor. You go down as the one guilty of her misdeeds while she sits on a pretty victim throne, pitied by everyone. She loves every second of it.

whenever Aleksander and Alina are doing ~things~ in the trilogy(winter fete make out scene in s&b, dream make out scene in s&s, name reveal in r&r) they're BOTH always in a physical position where it would be impossible to lie about/hide how much they want each other even without the presence of their otherworldly paranormal soulmatecore tether. If Aleksander were a thousand year old well practiced seducer who only wanted to manipulate Alina, wouldn't he AT LEAST move himself out of that revealing position instead of manuevering himself to the point where it's impossible to LIE abt wanting her even if he wanted to.
