This means reposting without permission. Feeding into ai. Taking as your own. Not giving credit to the artist. Posting things that aren't yours in the first place. Etc.
This goes for fanart, original pieces from the artist, writing, gifsets - anything someone took the time to make.
anyway that pic of Dazai and Chuuya looking at each other through those binoculars with Mori looking at them and the caption "a diamond polishing a diamond?" is reposted without credit when the artist specifically asked for credit to be given in such cases, here's the original:
western cowboy AU | ride 'em, cowboy
Megumi is a bounty hunter out to collect the reward on the infamous outlaw, Sukuna. But he instead runs into Yuuji who is facing charges due to the fact he looks like Sukuna. Megumi ends up teaming up with Yuuji then starts falling for him (while Sukuna third wheels-)
I got mad about how genuinely pretentious and condescending people on here about things that honestly don't even matter that much and so I went oh I know and I went to a mutual in law's blog because I KNOW they have the exact same views as me on them but they articulate them so much better and bam I got like six posts in a row of excellent compassionate measured responses to the very mean-spirited and meaninglessly cruel culture on here surrounding 'anti-intellectualism' and also calling people virgins in a derogatory way. like thanks! gotta jet
The hearts of your anons may be in the right place, but they really need to actually talk to the owner of animepopheart. He has multiple blogs on multiple social media sites as well as a pixiv account which is where he finds the art he shares. Asking an artist, without knowing how he identifies himself (what name he uses) to them, if he has permission and being told no is not proof that he doesn't have their permission. To your anons- I've spoken with him occasionally about random anime stuff. While I don't entirely agree with how he runs his blog, he's a nice guy and very receptive to "polite" conversation. I'd hate for him to lose his blog due to a lack of communication. So please reach out and share your concerns with him.
That's what I said in my tags exactly, since it could be a mistake (like a change of policy they weren't aware or else), it's always better to contact the user directly. Personally, I'd myself prefer that people comes to me directly if they think I made a mistake with a post.
Anyway, that's nice of anon if they contacted the artist to be sure but it's always good to try to communicate with the other side as well.
Love seeing fans complaining that tags are empty after years of creators begging people to not steal and to reblog posts they like. So fan artists stop sharing their art and it's only a matter of time before this site becomes dead(er). It's up to fellow fans to do the bare minimum: reblog and be respectful, if not... Enjoy complaining and reblogging shitty memes :-)
i keep having this thing in my head where ppl find the Pitbull Shaped drawing and find the original artist (me) and find out "oh god this guy sucks actually"
shuffled some things around, messed with too many settings probably, putting my art on @lizardmagus now for notif filtering and organizational purposes, hoping I didn't break anything but who knows lol
sorry if you get this question a lot but do you have an instagram for your art?? i want to share some of your posts with friends that don't have tumblr and don't really want to send them a tumblr link ^_^ /nf
Hi anon! First of all, I'm flattered :] second, I did have an Instagram (same name as here) but I haven't updated it in two or three years and I archived 90% of the posts, only leaving up the ones I could still tolerate looking at, lol. If I wanted to post art I'd probably just straight up reboot my account but I haven't been hit with the motivation to do that. Sorry there's not a more convenient way to share my stuff, but insta and twitter just scare me too much lol.
Though, for future reference, you guys have full permission to just download my art to your phones/computers, so long as you don't repost (or if you do, repost w/ a link back to me) if that helps at all.
Alright, I wanna talk about something serious right now, because this thing frustrated me. I found some of my artwork on Pinterest but it’s uncredited and there’s no links that leads to my blog. Moreover, nobody asked my permission.
‼️‼️PLS GUYS 🚫DO NOT🚫 POST/REPOST MY ARTWORKS ON OTHER SOCIAL MEDIAS OR PLATFORMS WITHOUT MY PERMISSION‼️
✨AND PLS IF YOU FIND ONE OF MY ARTWORK PLS LET ME KNOW!!!✨🙏
The 2 artworks that are currently on Pinterest are these ones and I’m really trying to just get them off this app, by reporting that this affects my copyright, but it may not work and they will just… stay there…and I will not be happy about it… I’m not mad at those person, they probably didn’t know what they were doing but please… ask me first if it’s alright, I’m very serious right know…
Edit: THEY WERE REMOVED YES
I wanna thanks @justanapplenothinghere for letting me know that one of my artwork was on Pinterest. Thank you so much homie!! <3 I owe you one!! 🙏💜
if someone posts art with no caption or tags of any kind that say it belongs to them, and their bio doesn’t say anything about them making art, there’s a chance they are reposting art that does not belong to them. please look into their blog and see if that is their work.
if they’ve reposted multiple artworks that have very different styles and even different watermarks, they are definitely a reposter.
please do NOT reblog or like posts from people who repost art without permission from the original artist AND crediting them (if they allow you to repost).
if you repost art without getting the okay from the artist first, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT WHY YOU DID IT. all of those reasons (and i do mean ALL) are not a good excuse. if you reposted with credit but they told you reposting is NOT okay, you’re just as bad (if not worse). it may have been posted online for everyone to see but IT DOES NOT BELONG TO YOU. please support and respect the wishes of artists.
