For a moment, imagine yourself in Mithrun's brother shoes.

Your brother - stronger, prettier, more charismatic, but also distrustful and disdainful of everyone especially you - is to be sent to the Canaries. It is the rule, it is the duty of all noble houses. But you know what goes on there, Mithrun knows what happens there. Yet you see him off, bidding a temporary farewell as you do, because someone from the House has to go and it won't be definitely you. Mithrun knows this, you know this. And you wonder, very briefly, if Mithrun hates you now more than he does already.

Your brother - powerful, agile, a good soldier just as he is as an heir, if he could only be an heir - suddenly disappears. The unit he belonged to suddenly disappeared. And you're speechless because - how? why? No one wants to answer you; they will instead try to bring back a body, they promise to you. But that is not what you want. You grieve for your brother. but your own family doesn't grieve with you. Wasn't Mithrun family too?

Then you found out: MIthrun is alive.

Your brother - now weak, despondent, his eyes always looking for something that is not here nor there - is to be sent home where people can take care of him. It is not your first choice, you want him home. But he is - sick. Not quite there. He needs someone who can look after him and you look at yourself - your gait, your constitution - and you know it can't be you. So, you follow the advice of your family and pour out all your resources to find him the best of healers and caretakers. You ask yourself, almost daily, if Mithrun would ever return to who he once was.

Your brother - strong, pretty, uninterested of anything and anyone else aside from what he calls 'the demon' - is now better. He can walk on his own now, eats without throwing up on himself. The color on his skin is back and the scars of his injuries have faded into thick bumps and discolored skin. But he still isn't quite there; still needs help and probably will for the rest of his life. And you can live with that. You can provide that. Just as long as he comes home.

But doesn't. Your brother - now a husk of his former self, and you hate thinking of him that way, but you can't help yourself, the Mithrun you knew is gone - runs straight back to the Canaries. His mission is not over, he says. He doesn't care how long it takes, he says. And you see him off, again, because someone from the House has to go and it still can't be you. Mithrun knows this, you know this, and you can't help but wish, very briefly, if things would've been different if you went instead of him.

Danny walked the streets of Gotham

he was hungry.

His steps were slow and I was still in pain, but under his abdominal bandages his wounds were much better.

but he was hungry.

he did not know since when he was in town.

He didn't know what time it was, but an alarm sounded.

He was hungry.

but it wasn't the noise that woke him up, no, there was… a smell? no, it wasn't caught by his nose, but it made him salivate.

he was hungry.

His gums itched while his teeth took on a ghostly shape despite his human body.

he was hungry.

The smell, for lack of a better term, led him to the center of noise and bright light.

he was hungry.

as he mingled with a tense crowd he began to "see" his target even with his eyes closed. good thing because he was hungry. and his eyes must have glowed in response behind his eyelids.

he was so hungry.

the crowd seemed more than willing to let him pass as he approached his target's voice, it was so loud, it must have been speaking into a megaphone or microphone.

he was hungry, but not for long…

jokers: hoooo, we have a brave volunteer~

His food came down from its perch, probably the roof of a car. it was moving towards him, holding something out with confidence

Danny: …I'm hungry…

His food seemed destabilized, but he continued to move closer, finally opening his eyes, seeing the reflection of their light in those of his food who had a little reflex of unnecessary recoil. One last big step and he was almost chest to chest.

The crowd didn't really know what they were looking at, the child stretched out his arm towards the jokers chest then when he pulled him back with some gently luminous light in his hands, the jokers collapsed to the ground like a puppet whose string have been cut off. Even before the jokers had finished falling, the child put the light in his mouth and a cracking sound echoed through the shocking crowd.

Danny sighed in relief, not satisfaction because it was one of the worst things he had ever eaten. But he feels SO MUCH BETTER now!

hey just in case anyone doesn't know this literally life-saving trick which i have used in many emergencies but most recently last night when i got home after work to discover my dogs had eaten an entire tin of dark baker's cocoa powder: you can make dogs vomit by giving them one teaspoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide per 10lbs of body weight (approx), mixed equal parts with water. put that shit in a turkey baster or big syringe, shoot it down their throat, and in 5-10 business minutes you'll be the proud mayor of puke city.

you can repeat this dose once (arguably twice in a real emergency if they really aren't vomiting, which i did have to do last night) but more than that can cause chemical burns and stomach bleeding so watch out!

maybe unpopular opinion but I'm kinda loving Elias so far? like as a Person I would hate him but as a Character? kicking my feet and giggling everytime he makes a stupid joke or menaces someone. slayyyy old man. terrorizing your employees is so good for the Plot.

I don't think anyone is talking enough about the fact that The Lost Boys aren't exactly hot... They're just straight up gorgeous.

Like- when I see them, I don't think handsome or hot, or attractive, I think drop dead beautiful. Like- Marko is literally compared to a Greek statue of GODS. Don't get me started on Paul cause oh my sweet heavens he's just tooth rotting pretty 🫠 His big blue eyes and that smile he gives Michael at the cave- OH MY GOOODDD

And David, my one and only David...🤤 He's got big blue eyes and pretty long eyelashes and a jaw sharp enough to cut through diamonds... It's been a very interesting year to say the least- those months still weren't 100% healthy but it was such a difference it was like living a different life, one not filled with constant dread and fear of the next monthly health episode.

It was unreal and I wish I'd made more use of of that time online while I had the chance, instead of being nervous of setting my body off and ruining a good thing going- but having past a new month my body completely imploding (only partially, which still sucks eggs), I can start to pick myself back up and keep going, hopeful once more! (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ)

at least at home he can love his mother by hearing good stories from his father and visit her grave sight.

and at least at home, that’s where buck is.

chris will probably listen to the backhanded insults thrown at his mother’s memory, he would hate listening to it but once they start insulting his buck, that’s when he will realize that his grandparents are not nice people.

of course chris will miss eddie, probably won’t admit it teenager style, but he definitely will miss his mother and his buck by being away from them.

On the left, Orog! 7 ft (2.1 m) tall, they're basically the underdark version of the mountain orc. However, while everyone else who goes to the underdark turns evil, these orcs just improved thier smithing and came back basically the same. just got a trade degree and a bit pale. Tougher and more knowledgeable than the average orc, that's the power of an honest education in a trade you enjoy. If you're interested in an orc that would be forklift certified, this one's for you!

On the right, Death Knight! Corrupted paladins brought back by dark magic. Used to be fighters and rangers too, but 5e changed that. They can't heal anymore, but spells like Hold Person or Command might interest you! The most famous knight even turned into one of this due to a tragic romance, they've got that corrupted good thing going on!

i think like a lot of people's reaction to the way basira is in s4 is completely unwarranted. like people say shes hypocritical for being weirded out/scolding jon for using eye powers on innocent people or that shes not seeing it from jon's perspective when that is like the opposite of what the point of jon's decent into being a monster is. like what he's doing is reprehensible and his character is pretty morally gray especially in s4 and basira trying to get him NOT to eat peoples trauma and make all their problems worse forever is like an extremely justifiable set of actions. like i know blorbo is great and all and we want him to be treated well but wanting his friends to not point out when hes being an actual monster is weird and could honestly be tied in with the sexism/male favoritism confession on this page
