minor character appreciation moment! i really love tanda stokeworth. we don't see much of her, but what we do see is pretty much always her trying to support and advocate for her disabled daughter as best she can within the limited influence available to her. i think she is so obsessed with marrying lollys off not to get rid of her, but because marriage to a relatively compassionate man from a good family is the best way to ensure that lollys will have someone to take care of her and a respectable place in the world after her mother is gone. its not a perfect solution, but i think its one of the most intriguing examples of how ladies in asoiaf use what limited leverage they have to protect themselves or the people they love.

and lady tanda definitely loves her child. when lollys went missing during the bread riots, she lost her mind with fear and had to be physically restrained from rushing back into the rioters to rescue lollys herself. that moment was such gutpunch.

also, tanda stokeworth and her daughters canonically wear matching outfits on special occasions. i know its probably just their house colors, but i like to picture them in cute mother-daughter clothing sets :-)

Struggling to take a picture of my accidental Beethoven hair (I have been trying to get this look for so long and of COURSE it finally cooperates right as I'm going to bed), I ended up getting a picture of myself that - for once - I actually really like. Lady moon sends you a little card with an invitation❣️ she wrote it with an ink pen (that she believes might've broken down already because it got a bit uncomfortable to write with it in the middle) And so forgive the messiness, she did her best

first of all good evening to my dear lady moon 💗 i wish to ask her if she is still holding the tea party from yesterday because i would love to join her anytime. Can you please tell her from me that her handwriting is fascinating and her ink pen is really cool (when it doesn't spit ink on her paper and makes it hard for her!), and that i wouldn't change a single thing about this, even the messiness?

about her invitation oh lord i Accept and i would accept in every world because she can take me anywhere she likes, and i would still adore it in fact.. i could really give my soul for some of her magical cookies and THE TEA FROM HERBS!! i want to have all of this with her and our catdeer friend 🩷 tell her i could really use a small eternity right now so i can spend it with her in the rotunda. just seeing her charming calligraphic letters with the spirals and the extra designs in the edges like her favorite spiral brush makes me twirl my hair and kick the air and do spinnies around the room, no matter the circumstance!!!!!

Jolene is my MC so she attends RAD as one of the human exchange students. When she first came to the deveildom, she thought it as divine punishment for dropping out of highschool. Her best subject would be potions, her view being like 'it's like magical cooking!'. She would also very much enjoy art class, despite not being a very good artist. As for clubs, if there's some sort of choir or musical related club she would join that.

Relationships and Personality 09 What makes them soft?

Seeing someone at their most vulnerable and still accepting and taking care of them. This goes both ways. She has some pretty bad mental and physical health problems, and when those around her still support her without judgement it makes her feel a lot more relaxed and comfortable with them. On the other side, if she's someone at a low point, even if they're someone she doesn't really like she would try to help. Depending on the situation, her help might be more awkward than helpful, but those reminders that people are people really opens her up. (I'm assuming I understood the question correctly)

I supposed compared to the rest of the cast, she is chubby, has flab and rolls. One thing that's a bit unique for a human is her skin tone, it's juuuuust a bit on the uncanney valley side of pale and cool toned. It's part of her family lore, they all have a similar look. Jolene actually looks the most human out of them, ironically. If she knew them lol

I have become SUCH a summer person in recent years 🥰 Amazing what a difference it makes when you no longer live in the bowels of Hell a.k.a. the American South. Notes on these pics go counter-clockwise from the upper right.

1. Me venturing forth this evening in the 34-degree heat to go pick up an Überraschungstüte from a local Turkish bakery. What's an Überraschungstüte? I'm glad you asked. This is not a paid advertisement, but you should all be using the app TooGoodToGo. At the end of every day, bakeries and other food shops that need to make their products fresh every day can sell the day's leftovers cheap through this app. Überraschungstüte means "surprise bag" - you don't know what you're going to get. Today I paid 4 euros and got a gigantic bag of fresh baked goods: five croissants, four gigantic simits, and this lil pastry you see in picture 2. Popped most of it in the freezer, and there's my breakfasts for the next week taken care of.

2. I FOUND THEM. Y'ALL. I found what I've been looking for in Germany for YEARS: heirloom tomatoes. Yes, the lumpy ugly kind that tastes so damn good you'll never want to eat a normal tomato again. Tell me why we bred all the yumminess out of tomatoes merely in order to make them uniformly round and red?! People are strange. Anyway, this was my dinner tonight: a glass of rosé, a fragrant Turkish savory pastry from my Überraschungstüte, and a big fat heirloom tomato chopped up and topped with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and sea salt. Pure ecstasy.

3. My summer drink this year is the raspberry lime rickey. Put a bit of lime juice in a glass, add some raspberry syrup and fill it up the rest of the way with sparkling water. Personally I like to add some frozen raspberries too. It's soooooo tasty and refreshing on these hot days.

4. I adore my Sappho bag. I take it with me everywhere. For those who can't see, it says "Become a voice." It's my very subtle queer rep when I'm out and about.

Aight this is a really petty thing to get hung up on, and honestly I’m not really bothered by it, but like. Gary?

I’m pretty sure Barnabas “Bubba” was a fanon first name, so I wasn’t seriously holding out on it being Human!Gumball’s name, and I’m overall fine with him not having a first name that starts with B, since it adds a little more separation between him and Bonnibel Bubblegum (I’m nonbinary, I have complicated feelings about genderbends, we can get into it another time)

And at first, when I heard his name was Gary, I thought it was fitting — he’s a dude working in a bakery. He’s not royalty or a lowkey dictator, he’s Just Some Guy. Of course he’s a Gary

But like. If they wanted a name that invokes the word Gumball, why not call him Gabriel? It has the G sound at the beginning, B sound in the middle, and L sound at the end. They could even Just Some Guy-ify it by calling him Gabe

I like “Gary Prince,” I do, but Gary was not their only option here
