Ruby: Are you alright?

Weiss: Please give me a moment to respond!

Weiss: Me and Jaune are both down here. We fell, we traveled through time because of ... magic, I suppose is the simplest answer, and We waited. For you. We know how to leave, but we still have things we must do - Jaune, Pyrrha and I have been waiting for a long Time.

Ruby: Wait- Pyrrha? You- you said Pyrrha, Right?

Weiss: Yes? Why are y- *realization* YES! YES I Did! She's here! We found her- we don't know why or how, but she is- She's the Tarnished Spartan! One moment-

Weiss sends up a Flare using her semblance and some material from around the place

Weiss: Now come on! *Summons Grimm* Hop on, We've got Ground to cover!

Blake: JAUNE?!? YOU'RE THE RUSTED KNIGHT!

Jaune: What, did Weiss forget to mention that? Gods- It's been so long!

Yang: Hey! It's your Steed!

Jaune: Yep! Juniper- Even if Pyrrha's here I still needed the rest of my team with me- Has she told you about Pyrrha?

Yang: Only a Little bit! You found her in here? How have you been? What happened?

Jaune: We'll explain what we can on the way- We've got food at the cabin, Pyrrha will get back to us soon after, and we can all explain the situation at once, so none of us forget anything.

Weiss: *Walks up to Jaune, grabbing his chestplate*

Jaune: Kisses?

Weiss: Yes.

Ruby: Wait, hold on, When did that happen?

Jaune: A couples years after we got here, Come on! Back to the Cabin!

Yang: Dang, never thought I'd be jealous of Vomit b- Well, Vomit Man now.

Blake: *Leaning in Close* And just why are you jealous of Him?

Yang: *Blushing* No reason! Let's go!

Blake: *Snickers*

Jaune: I think we should all have a seat now. Weiss, Pyrrha and I will tell you about what all has happened here, and we'll get you something to eat.

Blake: How did you become the Rusted Knight?

Jaune: …and I spent the next few decades waiting for you to arrive! 😁

Yang: You’re honestly a lot happier about all of this than I would’ve thought.

Jaune: Well, it’s been a long time to wait, but hey, at least I have Pyrrha here to keep me company, so I’m actually doing great! 🥰

RWBY: ?!

Ruby: Oh no…Jaune’s losing his mind…!

Weiss: He must be seeing things! Pyrrha died back at Beacon!

Blake: Poor Jaune…

Yang: Uh…Jaune, you know that Pyrrha’s not-

????: …Jaune? Are you coming to bed or not? I’m waiting~! 💕

Ruby: Who’s that?

Yang: Once upon a time, The Rusted Knight encountered The Tarnished Spartan, a dark inverse mirror being that was his perfectly exact opposite, except in strength.

Yang: Now, initially, she put him on his back in just six minutes, but he came back stronger than ever in round two, hitting her over and over again for hours on end! Some even say they went until dawn! That's a full twelve hours of all-out Rusted Knight on Tarnished Spartan pounding! At most!

Yang: (Nods, Folds arms) Respect...

Weiss: Hm... That would theoreticallly make The Rusted Knight 120 times stronger in round two than in round one. Calculating that yields a result of 960 duovigintilluon joules! That is a ridiculous number! And this was all from just one battle?

Yang: Battle?! Oh, sweet, summer child... That wasn't the kind of "pounding" I was talking about~.

Weiss: ...You've got to be kidding me.

Yang: I think we just found a new field of science! The science of fucksics!

A Sparring Partner

This is snippet that takes place in the "Three Sentinels" AU

“Hey Jaune, who’s that?” asked Blake.

The knight looked at the ridge line overlooking the group. Standing on top was a silhouette of a guardsman. However, this one was different. Instead of lanky arms attached to a squared off body, the silhouette had a much more professional shape to it. The figure held onto a spear in their right hand, as opposed to the halberd utilized by the royal guards, and on the helmet’s top was a plume matching the figure's gaze. Weiss watched the fabled Rusted Knight run a tasse through his fingers as he had done time and time before. 

There was an unspoken agreement between the sentinels of the Ever After. When guiding or guarding, there is to be no combat. There is to be a united front against any dangers within the Ever After as a sentinel acts as a guide through the Acres. It had happened when The Rusted Knight led Alyx and Lewis, it happened when the Tarnished Spartan had led Lily, and now it’s apparent that it’s the Frozen Empress’ turn to act as a guide.

The silhouette collapsed the spear, shouldering it. They banged their shield three times, before walking off from the overlook ridge.

“-ne? -aune? Jaune?” came the rouges voice. He looked over at RBY, then at Weiss and back at the ridge. He shook his head before taking a deep breath.

“A sparring partner.” He answered flatly, exhaling. “Let’s just get back to Origami Arc.”

Spartan's Lament (RWBY AU)

The Jabberwalker growled as it walked on all fours, it jerked from left to right. The Afteran Predator growls as it stalks through the tall grass of a nearby settlement. The monster muttered one word, an adversary it had encountered some time ago. An opponent that would stand in the way of its purpose. Its tail flicked at the thought of its opponent; a warrior in rusted armor with a broken blade and rusted shield, that sported twin crescent moons.

"K-Knight," The Jabberwalker growled, picking up its foe's scent. "Knight!" It raises its twitching claw, preparing to strike down the interloper.

But, instead, it was pushed down to the ground on its back. The monster twitched and jittered, looking up to see an oxidized spear; green rust with some semblance of copper. Then, it became surrounded by a black aura, much to the Walker's confusion. But, the creature sniffs the air, growling lowly.

"S-Spartan!" The Walker then spots the lance returning to its owner, who caught it easily, the black aura disappearing. "Spartan!"

The armored woman gripped her lance in her right hand, holding an identical oxidized shield with the left. Sporting an oxidized, hypolite helmet, she glared at the Afteran with a pair of emerald irises. Long, red hair fell from behind; some grey can be seen in it. She takes a deep breath, beginning to circle around the Jabberwalker. The Spartan crouches down as the reptilian-lupine beast sprints towards her, then lunges for attack. It was met with a harsh shield bash courtesy of the armored woman, who then tossed it. It cries out in pain as it is struck again, falling down onto the earth as the shield returns to its owner.

"Leave," the armored woman spoke with command, pointing her lance at the dark violet beast. "Now!"

The Walker hissed in protest, raising both claws, not taking the Spartan's warning to heart. The redhead simply sighed, as she then charged toward the beast. Once more, she tosses her lance at the Walker, which smacks the weapon away. She raises her right hand, glowing black, calling back the spear. The Walker sprints toward the redhead, slashing its left claw at her, only to be blacked by the shield. Staggering back and groaning in pain, The Walker was met with a jab to its chest its opponent. She pulls her lance out of the creature's chest, only to jab it repeatedly; causing the monster to roar.

"Back!" She raises her shield, slamming it against the beast's grey masque. "Back, damn you!"

Clutching at one of the wounds, the beast turns around and limps away from the warrior. The Huntress exhaled lowly, turning around to a village in the distance. A village made of paper, a place she has come to call home since falling into this strange land. She begins the long walk back, many thoughts running through her mind. It has been decades since she and the Knight found themselves practically stranded, sent back due to that damned Clock Fruit. The first months after that incident, she was angry with her partner. But, more importantly, she was angry with herself. Angered at the amber-eyed 'Maiden', and angered at the silver-eyed brat, whose plan went wrong.

At this moment, since they found this village filled with paper-like beings called 'Paper Pleasers', they were the protectors of these innocents. But, innocents who always seemed to get themselves into trouble. The Spartan felt like a slave for all of her life, a slave to destiny, a slave to her status as a famed gladiator and celebrity status, a slave to the Old Man's crusade against his scorned lover, and now, a slave to a seemingly suicidal species. As she reached the bridge, she grabbed a hold of her helmet, removed it, and looked down at it.

"How long can I keep this up?" Pyrrha Nikos asked herself, "How long can we keep this up?" She lifted her head up to the blonde knight in rusted armor, pulling a ruby Paper Pleaser from one of the sharp stones.

Then, she looked up to the black sky, seeing four lights coming down. Red, White, Violet, and Yellow; colors that they waited years to see again. Then, the thought of the Walker came to Pyrrha's mind, the Red Prince. Though it had been years since Atlas' Fall, Pyrrha still resented the four, who stranded them in this demented Fairy Tale, who left them to play the roles of the Rusted Knight and the Tarnished Spartan, who left them with a selfish and cruel child known as Alyx. The same child who poisoned her beloved, who listened to that damned cat.

"How...How long can those four stay alive in this mad place?"

soooo how do you think Malleus would react to a quartet of his kids? Would he be happy? Tired? what do you think he would do with 4 bundles of energy and joy?

Him:

While I don't think anything can easily tire him out physically, I think his introvert battery will always be on critical! He does get secretly (not really) jealous of these tiny dragons hogging his precious spouse's time, so I think he's likely to take advantage of Silver and Sebek's kindness and dump his kids to them for some alone time with his beloved. 😂 Either Silver or Sebek or both couldn't marry early or at all because of their master's generosity.

That said, he does take fatherhood seriously. Both because he's actually very dutiful and always tries to fulfill his roles as best as he can, and to compensate for not having biological parents himself. He'll be bad at it at first because Lilia raised him with a spartan hand, but with his beloved's help, he learns from his mistakes and gets better day by day. He might actually end up enjoying it! He thinks this castle, filled with random scrawls of crayons tarnishing its dignified walls, is such a far cry from when he roamed it alone so long ago. All for the better.

🐉: Can we have another child?

🌸: ??? Are you alright? We can barely take care of these four troublemakers as they are! Poor Silver and Sebek have to restrain a gremlin in each arm when we have to be out for duties. Who would you call to babysit another one?

🐉: Lilia--

🌸: He is retired. Stop bothering the poor old man!

🐉: He said he wants to.

🌸: Just because he wants to doesn't mean he should. He might actually die from breaking his back just by carrying one these heavy slabs of "I don't want to eat broccoli! I want steak!", then proceed to inhale toothpaste.

🐉: ... That's an overly particular description.

🌸: Dear, we hear that everyday. It's practically morning coffee at this point.

What if Ruby asked the Tarnished Spartan if she can be in the relationship with herself and the Rusted Knight? Ruby did see potential in Jaune and was close to him early on like Pyrrha.

She'd have to fight Blake for her spot

I could see it working out though

Mostly as a joke, Ruby seemed genuinely upset and shocked that Jaune had gotten old so I don't think she's got a silver fox thing going on
