like they are insane. they are the most normal couple ever. they gift each other flower bouquets (and shidou does it with an unhealthy amount of thought and meaning behind them and mikoto tries his best to keep up) they are normal and affectionate. they are a little unhinged. they fix each other. they quit smoking together (either shidou does it to prompt mikoto to quit his poor self-destructive habits or mikoto does it to make shidou quit his poor self-destructive habits). or the opposite. maybe it just gets worse. medical malpractice. or not. they cook together and shidou's great at it but mikoto either makes only ramen or he burns the kitchen. they're baking together but mikoto manages to crack an egg and only have half of the contents land in the bowl and shidou's apalled but in an affectionate way (that was so oddly specific I apologize). they do taxes and lead normal lives and they're both Overworked to hell (and mikoto's underpaid but shidou's funny doctor salary makes up for it) but they have each other when they get home. they Suck. but they're normal about it. probably. they are everything to each other. they are authentic to each other. whatever that happens to mean. for better or for worse. i am pushing their heads together. you know that one gif of a doctor reaching for a syringe while the patient tries to make heart hands with them? that's them right there. that's the dynamic. they're so silly. none of this makes any sense this is probably so incoherent orz

FINALLY GETTING TO MEET CHELLE (@yutagirlie) IN PERSON!!! 😭❤️

getting souvenirs from a local shop and being told 3/4 of the members were in there earlier 🫠🫠

(it had to have been mark and chenle for sure, but the other 1-2 members are a toss up. jisung maybe??? jeno???? 🤷‍♀️)

randomly seeing a Jeno bday truck around pike place market before the concert <3

kaeya's worst nightmares are when he dreams about killing crepus.

you know how his fear that it was actually his fault was cemented with time? what kaeya fails to see is that, even if he came to his rescue before ursa the drake was going to maim him, what could he have done realistically?? he was young, and most importantly visionless. ever if he rushed here in time, the best he could have done against ursa was to throw his sword at it. like throwing a fucking toothpick at godzilla. it was 100% going to be a bloodbath with many casualties among the knights. including kaeya himself. it's a mix of survivors guilt tinged with the fact that everything else seems to point the blame at him not arriving sooner, and he adamantly refuses to accept the reality that what happened wasn't his fault.

in fact, this translates into a very brief dream where crepus smiles at him, calls him 'son' with all the affection in the world and hugs him. ''it wasn't your fault,'' his adoptive dad tells him, holding him close.

kaeya relaxes in the hold until it starts feeling too warm. it's a warmth that he doesn't deserve, too familiar, too comfortable, and suddendly that hug seems like a straightjacket threatening to crush him. the whole place is on fire, and his lungs are painfully tight-

that's when he drives his sword right between his adoptive father's ribs. sometimes it's the stomach, sometimes he goes straight for the throat. it doesn't matter where it strikes, it's lethal. he slowly takes some steps back and lets crepus body slump to the floor, crimson blood pooling under him catching fire.

he's crying, stomach churning, but all he can manage to say is an almost spiteful ''it is, now.''

ted's vision might not be 20/20, but his hindsight sure is. and now, as he sits between you and schlatt on the chuckle sammy set, he realizes that maybe letting you be this week's guest wasn't the best idea.

it's not any fault of your own, of course. schlatt had been the one to propose the idea in the first place. the two of you had been dating for quite some time now but only recently decided to hard launch considering you both valued your privacy. and so, in light of the launch, schlatt had eagerly asked ted if he could invite you on the podcast's upcoming episode.

"c'mon, ted!" he'd so desperately pleaded. "the viewers are gonna want us to talk about it eventually. (y/n) would make a great guest, too. y'know that!"

it's true. you and ted have been longtime friends due to schlatt introducing you two. the chemistry is all-around great, so naturally he had no qualms with you coming on the podcast. that is, until now, as he watches you and schlatt lightheartedly bicker among each other.

"wait! just- don't speak."

"you cut me off!"

"guys!" ted finally cuts in, his voice laced with an almost bewildered laugh. it's obvious this is all playful banter. still, ted waves a hand dismissively. "fuckin' christ, you two. forget i asked! how 'bout we revisit this question when you guys have a consistent narrative of how it happened, alright?"

"fine by me," schlatt responds slyly. he wiggles his brows at you. "that okay with you, doll?"

"perfect." you stick your tongue out at him.

ted is satisfied with this response. he's quick to redirect the conversation, spitting out a slew of topics at you. you're doing your best to keep up with him, but your train of thought is still continually disrupted by schlatt. however, this time, it's through the text notifications you see popping up from him on your lockscreen.

i am here today to talk about HORRIBLE OVERSIGHT in the pete fandom we NEED to correct our ways and see the light

ok do u see this

this is a pha khao ma (spelling up for debate). it's a waistcloth commonly worn in south and southeast asia — you may have heard of it as a lungi / longyi. it's a rectangular, light, soft piece of cloth that (mostly) men tie around their (mostly) waists to wear in hot humid climates because it's very comfy and breezy and dries fast.

some fun facts:

it's very common to wear right out of the bath / shower because the dampness stays on your skin for a while after so this helps air it out

underwear is ✨ optional ✨ (although really mostly only at home. the fear of being pantsed in public is universal, after all)

it's often worn at home, but people wear it out as well and it is especially common in rural communities. if you've got a bunch of old uncles sitting outside on a veranda in a small town, they're all maybe sitting around in pha khao mas

(let me follow this up with: while it is common in rural regions, people in rural areas all over thailand do also just wear shirts and shorts and pants 😂 it is merely an option, not a rule)

what you see is the casual version. there are much more formal versions, and fashionable versions, and they are apparently having a resurgence with the thailand youth rn

the plaid-like patterning is a specific design that has centuries of history in thailand! different regions produce styles of designs with vibrantly different colors and dyes, and they're very proud of it

there's many ways to tie it: in these pictures, pete has it tied so that it hangs down well past his knees, but you can hoist them up to mostly be around your upper legs (leaving the knees showing). this gives you a TON more mobility to, say, run around or climb trees or beat up people

and the most important fun fact of all:

anyway. all of this to say, if you were to write fics where pete wears a pha khao ma and/or draw him in one it would be HIGHLY CANONICALLY ACCURATE. and i would love you. thank u for coming to my ted talk.

your fic abt fiddleford and ford has me thinking…fiddleford would def use the memory gun on you. to make sure you never find out and confront him or try to leave bc my man is sosososSO guilty. esp if hes doing it out of his own obsession and hes not being spurred on by ford/bill. if he gets rid of your memory youd never know he took advantage of you, so no harm done right?

I found myself being at my best self concept area when I admitted that I can't manifest.

NOW LET ME EXPLAIN WHAT THAT MEANS.

People have a misconception of manifestation, that it's abt things showing up in ur reality that u want, when it not.

Many fail to manifest bc they look for proof in their 3d, but why do they do that?

Because they are looking for an answer.

Your 3d is kept alive by you bc u believe that it's your job for it to show up physically, when it's not.

You, as the outer man, need to admit that u can't do anything, u can only imagine and feel in ur imagination. You're carrying the responsibility of the 3d changing on your shoulders that leads u to spiral, bc you're not meant to do that.

If u want to start feeling safe in ur imagination to imagine, start admitting that this is ur reality, there is no one else but you. Just do this throughout your day as gentle reminders, and this will help ir desires get off the pedestal. That's what helped me.

I was always frustrated when I would imagine, I'd go in hungry and I'd leave the inner world even starving, I just didn't understand what ppl meant imagining is fun.

But when I admitted to myself that I, the outer man can do nothing, I felt a huge relief. I the outer man can't make things physically, i can't put things in place and fly anywhere I want, i'm limited.

However your inner man can do above and beyond. When u stop imaginingfor the 3d to change and u realize you can't do anything but reflect and feel, you will have a safe sense of freedom overcome you.

Yes it might take a bit to master but once u grasp what I'm saying, your mind will automatically help you and stop looking at the outer for proof.

But u might be asking me rn " Well what abt ppl that say they'll manifest physical results in 5sec and they do?"

That's bc they are also doing the same thing, they're assuming in their inner world, not eh outer. U want results in 5sec? Stop thinking abt getting results in 5sec then.

They assume fast results with their INNER MAN, they don't look at the outer man.

Realize this, u are doing yourself a disservice the moment u imagine for physical results and be the outer man, have fun within and admit that there's nothing u, as the outer one can do nothing.

Everything has to reflect, and it will. When u look at the 3d u are assuming sth is missing, and if u say sth is lacking than it is. There is only u in ur world, the only responsibility u have, and can have, is you.

This is coming from sb who's been trying to manifest since like 2018 up until now I only discovered loa a year ago. That's why I'm giving this advice bc if it's helping me than it will help u.
